Week 11 and we are 4-5. Certainly not what most of us were expecting. 7 games left. How many of those can we win? How many wins will it take to maybe sneak into the playoffs? How much help will we need? I don’t think the schedule looks all that bad given how other teams are playing. On the flip side, most teams look at us the same way….beatable.
The last home game was against another team from Texas. The game against Houston was the best I’ve seen then play and was more like how I thought we would be this year. We need the same kind of game today. They can do it.
Let’s Go Dolphins!
randy,
ok fine. you want to blame the player and not the coaches. ok i am fine with that too. i am even blaming the parking attendants. there isnt one aspect of this organization that i blameless. if it makes you happy blaming the players i am right there with you. hell, i am even ready to start questioning lauren, it maybe time for her to go………aaawwww who am i kidding, ok she can stay but all the rest needs to go

I heard your BUCS won today 😉
Son, it’s not all Tannehill. He was off, the OL had bad moments as usual and with penalties, dropped passes. Landry played his worst game. The defense is playing with a 2nd team right now. We’re not good.
We had excellent field position all day plus won turnovers and put up a measly 14 points. I’m sick of it.

The penalties killed us today and not having Jenkins and misi.
The nfl wanted the Cowboys to win today. They called holding on us every time we had momentum.
You have never heard this from me at all

TANNY SUCKS!
Mac is on a better team, with better coaching.
Mac is just better.
He is better, but he’s also on a better team. The Panthers aren’t 10-0 this year only because of cam, as they weren’t 7-8-1 because of him last year
Son. what are you trying to say with Cam, he was the 1st overall pick, we never had a shot at him?
We’re not that good of a team all around. Also Lazor is inept. He doesn’t have any feel for what we do well. It’s mind boggling. He puts us in 3rd and long constantly with bad play calls.

We’re not that good of a team all around. Also Lazor is inept. He doesn’t have any feel for what we do well. It’s mind boggling. He puts us in 3rd and long constantly with bad play calls.
*
Tim,
So EVERY play he calls is bad? EVERY series HE puts us in 3rd and long? Come on. This team can’t execute on a consistent basis, that’s why we can’t win on a consistent basis. We came out in the first series ruining it down their throats (which everyone wants) and we have a 3rd and 7 or so around midfield, and Tannehill under throws Landry up the left side, leading to the ball behind knocked away instead of a TD. That would have been a great call had we executed the play that was drawn up and was right there to be had. That’s us up 7-0 to start the game. What happens a few series later? Pick six( poor execution) and we’re playing from behind again.
‘we have a 3rd and 7 or so around midfield, and Tannehill under throws Landry up the left side, leading to the ball behind knocked away instead of a TD’
and why did they end up in 3rd and 7? cause the idiot lozer went away from the run and started throwing the ball on first down.
dont you see, i dont get why this is hard, it is a combination of the entire organization that is making them fail. it isnt one player.
So we run every single first down, and the opposing defense knows exactly what we are doing every first down. Good game plan. I was merely pointing out how we didn’t execute in a particular play, rather than bashing the play call, and it likely ended up costing us a TD.
but i guess it could be worse. the fins could have rivers as a qb.
We should be so lucky
Rivers has won a ton of games when it has been placed in his hands.
son of a son of a shula says:

why, tanny is two times better then him. SD has only won two games the fins have won 4.
DL is finally looking like the one we were expecting…….unfortunately so is Jamar Taylor.
Yes Son, i’ve heard of this but I’m sleeping so it is up to my Giant orange cat to get them but he does nothing
WHAT A WUSS!!!
It’s time to face reality. Tannehill is a marginally talented QB with serious flaws in his game and no real grasp of the mental intangibles of the position. No pocket awareness and limited field vision. After 4 years it is clear that this is no franchise QB. Yes, I know…everyone else sucks too and it’s not his fault, but we will never be able to surround Tannehill with enough great players that the team might win in spite of him. So with that, and having seen my fill of his La dee dah dah Dum dee dum dum lack of urgency, I announce the official launch of the TDS……. Who’s with me?
I am seeing this as reality more and more all the time.
brian
it was the opening drive. and it was working but idiot lozer has to think he is smarter.
and i obviously know rivers is better then tanny, just making a point of how idiotic the thinking is that the qb is why a team wins or loses
I am with Tim. He has been talking about his hate for this offense . I am with him on that. Get rid of Lazor and let Campbell run his own offense. Lazor sucks
bat,
how many ‘franchise’ qb’s are out there? yep, thats what i thought. about 90% of the league has to deal with average qb’s and build a team around them. but lets all just think getting an aaron rodgers will put this shit of an organization in the SB
i guess bridgewater is one of those marginally qb’s too, he has given up 6 sacks today.
LOL, keep focusing on one thing. Oh brother!
Sorry Bat. I can not excuse the rest of the team while we look for a franchise QB.
Our scheme on offense is horrible…. But let’s blame the QB
Alright then; Stanger is with me on that front four

i dont know how many more ways to tell them, it is more then an average qb that is wrong with this team. but i guess every team in the league has a tackle like fox. i mean son said this team matches up player for player with any team in the l……..omg i cant repeat that without cracking up. but then again he also thought suh was the answer
This game illustrates the difference between solid a solid qb and j.a.g.
Forgive typos please.
Tanny is a marginal QB. Much like A Smith and Stafford, he isn’t going to carry your team at any point in his career. Unfortunately, he also is in the hardest to fill position in the NFL. If a Brock Osweiler comes up and you feel he’s the next big thing, take him but otherwise we are going to have to try and win despite Tanny’s limitations.
We need to start finding the pieces that enable him to win and that mean a real OL. This guy will never feel pressure so we have to remove it as much as possible.
Wow- what a novel idea! Admit your qb’s weaknesses and mitigate them as much as possible- fucking genius!
Seems like it after watching the past 4 years of this.

ok yeah, that use to be my bitch too about lozer. that he would never go to tannys strengths but more so his weakness.
and i say use to be my bitch about him, not it is everything he does, just fire him already.
Make excuses for him if it suits you. I am not saying that Tannehill is the only problem with this crapfest of a team, but he will never be part of the solution. Teams try to draft QBs who rise to challenges and make those around them better. Tannehill does neither.
I said something similar just last week (re: not the only problem but not a solution, either). 🤔
I hope we get Hue Jackson next year. That’s my top prospect.

It all has to be torn down. Ross has to finally fumigate the organization of the acrid stench of failure and futility. The new powers that be should be perfectly capable of finding their own frustratingly mediocre QB.
Just watched the game. Really not much to say.
all i know is i hope figure skating is on next week so i have something to watch. or at least womens basketball. i am sure either will be better then the fins.
oh wait, take that back. almost forgot, i am a buc fan now……nevermind
rob…. So because other areas of the team are also seriously flawed, we should be satisfied with a seriously flawed QB? …. Strange logic that.
bat,
now that i agree with. it isnt like a new coach is going to come in and make them a playoff team. they still lack way way way to much talent. so i am sure a new coach will want to start with his own average qb. hey maybe fiedler has a younger brother
Rob,
The thing is, no one is saying it’s all Tannehills fault. Most are placing blame all iver the place, but you and a few others are declaring that Tannegull is not the problems he is part of the problem IMO, and a big one at that. He has regressed this season. I think he can be an average to slightly above average QB, which the really good game thrown in now and then. But sadly, based on past experience, I don’t think he’s ever going to be more than that. He just doesn’t have that in him.
Tannehill
That does seem to be stated over and over again by a few here (the Tanne is not the problem cry).
Wow, just saw that Flacco is out for the rest of the year. Somewhere Omar is crying.
I saw him get rolled up on, but he finished the game.

i know when i type it on my laptop it is in english but maybe as it post to others they see it as some form of ancient Greek forgotten language. THE WHOLE TEAM IS THE PROBLEM. i would love for you to find anywhere i have said tanny is not part of the problem.
It is in English, and you are constantly deflecting blame from Tannehill by placing most of the blame on Lazor and the OL(which does deserve some of it as well).
Mac is surging at the right time

I think it’s normal to blame the QB more than any other player on offense. Fair or not, that’s the way it is. Would you rather have a good offense with an average to bad QB or an average offensive team with a good to great QB?

????????? so even if it isnt fair it is ok. that makes perfect sense. he we all know stealing is bad, but thats the way it is so we will just let it go.
They get most of the blame, and most of the credit. It’s pretty much the way it’s been the past 30 years.
They touch the ball on every offensive play, so other than the center, yes, they are a bigger part of the offensive team.
HAVE NOT SAID THIS TODAY yet, so, for those who may have missed it, I repeat – – – THE DOLPHINS WILL NOT WIN A PLAYOFF GAME AS LONG AS ROSS OWNS THE TEAM – – – HE is the #1 reason why this organization sucks!! His repeated selection of the WRONG PEOPLE to lead this franchise, both in the front office and on the football field, is the primary reason this franchise has failed so miserably under his ownership.

that is just cause my pure hatred for this team is evenly spread among the entire origination and i hate seeing others waste their hatred on just one person when if they would just open their minds to the pure joy of hating every part of the organization they will feel so much better.

ok wait, so you are allowed to respond to my post, point out something that is suppose to make me look like i am wrong and dont know what i am talking about but i i point out you just said the obvious then youre feelings are hurt.
rob… As others have pointed out, it is natural for the QB to receive the brunt of criticism when the team fails. This is especially true when the QB is a significant part of the problem. The position is the most important in the game. Blame, warranted or not, comes with the territory.
and if any of you havent burnt up all your brain cells you will remember i was here saying the exact same things about henne. that you are asking an average qb to take a average team to great heights. basically asking for the impossible.
build a fricking good team and then we dont have to sit around and wait a lifetime for an elite qb to come around again
Blame, warranted or not, comes with the territory.
bat,
that is the part that doesnt fly with me. it would be like blaming the punter for a wr not catching a pass. ‘well if the blame is warranted or not that is still the punters fault’ why not be smarter then the average jet fan and place the blame in all the places it belongs and not just cop out to something like ‘right or wrong lets blame the qb’
FFR, my initial post wasn’t in response to anything you said. As for me saying something that will “point out something that is suppose to make me look like i am wrong and dont know what i am talking about”, I’m not doing that either. You’re doing fine all on your own.

aaawwww that is so cute. you are priceless darlin.

If you’d all simply believed what I kept telling you about Tannehill for years, we wouldn’t be having this pointless argument. We could be talking about our next draft pick….or who’s getting naked on GOT next! Lol
bat,
i guess my whole issue is i dont see enough people blaming all that is wrong with this team rather they just take the cheap way out and want to blame just the qb.
but i guess what does it matter, none of it is getting fixed anytime soon. if everyone wants to focus just on one player then have fun. i will be there watching the next all world elite qb on his back after fox gives up another one
and i am sure i will be singing the same ole thing when everyone is saying how awful the next qb is. that it isnt just his fault, the whole team sucks
I don’t take son’s posts as an endorsement of the entire team except for Tannehill, but maybe I have not seen ones where he did make such a statement.
bat,
like i just said. ok fine, draft another qb and get rid of this bum. i am sure 3 or 4 years from now i will be singing the same thing. it isnt his fault, they are asking an average player to carry the entire team.
OK Time for the Walking Dead who will once again display more spirit heart and intensity than the Miami Dolphins
bat,
randy just said if the everyone had listened to him this problem would be solved. i am sure any other qb would flourish behind this oline. hell put cleo lemon back there and fox will become and all world tackle
The problem is that in today’s NFL the QB IS much more significant and impactful than any other player or coach on the team. He should be having a greater impact because the NFL has set the game up for them to succeed. They can barely be touched, offenses are designed around them, they can throw the ball away, their receivers can’t be touched, OL can hold all day and defenses have been neutered. So yeah…I do expect QBs to take more blame because they have significantly more impact than anybody else. They deserve any credit….or blame they get. Hence why everyone says this is a QB-driven league now more than ever.
Exactly right- the rules are written and the game is officiated to maximize the qb’s impact. If your qb is average you’ve got issues.
ffr,
It’s gonna take us 3 years to build the sort of team Tannehiill can win with anyway because, evidently, we have to have all pros all around him for him to succeed! Lol

i dont know about that. i dont know if all pros around him will make him succeed. but i do know this. to wait on an ‘elite’ qb is stupid. very very few of them exist. so start building that team of all pros so you can put in a qb that will be successful with them.
randy,
and i get this is a qb driven league, but all one has to do is point to seattle. they are/were doing it with an average qb.
ffr
Wilson isn’t great either, but he does what Tannehill doesn’t…make plays from time to time. And, he does it behind an OL that is just as bad as ours….and he’s never had a receiving Corp as good as Tanny’s had. I’d take Wilson. He’s a more complete QB than Tannehill.
randy,
once again, i am not defending tanny. i agree wilson does more then tanny. but on this team they would still be awful with wilson. wilson can scramble better then tanny and hits the long pass better. although this year tanny has improved on the long pass some, but that is like saying ‘hey, look at you, you went from 350lbs down to 290’. again my whole point is build a good team before you ask a qb to take you to the sb.
and here is a crazy novel idea. how about when you start this building process (all of you guys call it re-building but you cant re-build something that you never had) how about with your 1st round draft picks you pick players that will actually get on the field
Ian Wharton @NFLFilmStudy 1m1 minute ago
Lamar Miller gained 21 yards on Miami’s first two plays from scrimmage. Ran the ball 2 more times in the quarter, 7 total in the game
but lets not say anything bad about lozer and just comment on how bad the qb sucks
ffr
I agree. Lazor’s job as OC should be in question. I think he’s a smart offensive mind but doesn’t seem to have a feel for calling games. It’s an art. Not everyone can do it well….and this was his first time doing it. That said…our players are oftentimes not making routine plays…OL included. It’s been a team effort at sucking ass this season…no doubt.
