Game Wrap Up: Cowboys @ Dolphins

Well the Dolphin offense put up a whopping 210 yards and gave up a TD by throwing an interception to Rolando McClain deep in their own territory.
So you can guess the result on Sunday.
Lamar Miller averaged over 6 yards on the ground on Sunday. So it only makes sense that he finished the game with 7 carries. Looks like the Philbin gameplan will linger with the 2015 Dolphins.

The Dolphins had a shot after Jordan Cameron caught a TD right before the half.
Then Stills caught a TD to tie it at 14 points.
But at the end of the day the Cowboy made plays late and the Dolphins did not.
The Cowboys won 24-14

The Fins on defense have the personnel to switch effectively to a 3-4 again if they choose to under a new coach. IMO right now they have more 3-4 pieces than 4-3 pieces.
I state this because put Dick LeBeau in there (he’s talking like Titans are going to can his ass and is out there saying ‘someone will want me’) and we see different results.
I can’t imagine ANYONE stopping Suh as a 3-4 end. He will destroy people in a Watt like effort IMO.
Earl Mitchell lead all NT in the NFL 2 years ago at solo tackles & assisted tackles in Houston’s scheme.
Even without Mitchell, Phillips has a body built for the 3-4 NT.
I agree and said this last week and people on the other blog totally disagreed with me. LOL
McCain is more of a 3-4 OLB than a DE and Vernon is also. I think Misi would be a better fit as a 3-4 ILB than a 4-3 LB anywhere.
Pass the puffer dude.
Randy, keep in mind that Dilfer won a Ring, so did Doug Williams, Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon, Jeff Hostetler, Mark Rypien, Earl Morrall
Common denominator…great coaching staffs & great talent in other areas.
I know a couple of you are perennially on the sid that Tanny is a big part of the problem. I know some are perennially on the side that Tanny isnt the problem. Being a person who was previously on one side and am much closer to being on the other now, im saying emphatically, Tanny IS a good part of the problem this year. I had 0 reason to swap sides, Randy didnt buy me off, i have watched Tanny this year and have seen a much different QB.
This OL isnt that bad. Its not so horrible that you can cast off excuses for Tanny this year just by pointing the finger at them. Last year was a lot more so and he did more with less.
He did more with less talent at the receiving positions.
His throws in the 10-20 yard range were crips on target, and on the right side of the receiver, back shoulder passes were goo placement. He had issues with touch passes, be it lofting the ball over the defense on screens or fades. This year his throws are very inconsistent, looking like the QB from last year on some and like Geno Smith on others.
He had pocket awareness issues, but to be honest the pocket collapsed ALL around, so he didnt have option to side step or step up. This year there have been the same issues but he has had options and stand there and takes a sack or gets stripped.
He ran a lot better last year, this year he looks timid and not overly mobile.
I haven’t seen ANY area he looks to have improved and a bunch he has declined in. IM not saying its over this is the end but he is not showing why the team felt like investing in him this off season. Great QB’s even in the face of a team thats not getting them much help stand out as doing their best to carry the team, even if they fail to. He isnt doing anything to carry the team, i dont feel like i see a guy who is doing his best and the rest of the team is just letting him down. My point is if you feel the QB position is a JAG position, and you are cool with that, then you got the right guy, you got a guy who is going to go out there and do as good as his team lets him do. Thats not the guy i want, its not the guy i thought we had, but this year thats the guy im seeing under center.
Fair, but I think other teams have caught up to defending Lazor’s offense as well after a full year on film.

Even Rex Grossman made a SB LOL
Holy shit, I can’t believe the crap I’m reading on this board today.
Are you telling me I can get high from sucking on a puffer fish?
lol
Tim,
But, if you remember, when the topic of our poor running game was discussed in the past….and I would say it was because we never committed to it and gave up on it way too early…people would shout me down saying it was because of our terrible OL and we had no choice but to stop running. Now, it’s because Lazor doesn’t commit to the run. I was on board with that line of thinking when Sherman was here! Lol
Well. we all get caught up in moments of grandeur or delusions, but proven time and time again that a solid running game is the one constant to being successful on offense.
The RB situation is much better since Sherman was discarded.
I always felt Sherman is a guy who’s scheme excels with a certain level of talent available.
Some coaches are good at doing something with nothing but then suck dick when they have big talent (e.g. Chan Gailey). To me it’s about applying the right model to the right situation (right coach at specific time where team is roster wise). The talent picking has been so shoddy that coaches like Dom Capers (yes, the Fins DC in the 1-15 season) look like shit with questionable pieces because they aren’t going to dial down their play calling for shitty talent. Same for Sherman who could do way better with better talent (sounds easy i know, but plenty of coaches fuck this up…Cam Cameron is another example who gets too cute at times rendering all his work kinda shitty).
We’re not that far off. We had that game won. after we tied the game we got the ball back. We were driving and the refs called that bullshit holding call and the momentum changed.
I hate the play calling. Fox is terrible. We need better Olin, line backer and pass rush in graft next year.
I think the ends were playing solid overall (they were hitting Romo on occassion) but there were times in the game where there was too big of a window in front of Romo for him to pass through …aka the TD pass to Dez and other times where Tony probably could have just run for 15 yards with how open the middle of the line was.
WOW, awesome to see such positive vibes from you. Must be being in a Kauai thing. 😉
Yeah being high normally helps…. err i meant in Hawaii….
Btw I’m in Kauai this week. Watching the game at 8 am was weird.
Boulder,
It’s been incredibly frustrating to watch but the Fins are sitting at 4-6 with a trip to NY with those other losers we know as the Jets.
A win there gets the Fins to 5-6 and facing a Ravens team that just lost RB Forsett (broken arm) and Flacco (torn ACL on final plays of the game) for the season.
6-6 is within reach then 3 straight games against teams that are about as disappointing as the Dolphins -> Giants, Chargers, & Colts.
The last game against NE we all know what likely is to happen there if NE uses their starters but by that time NE probably is firmly in the #1 seed and will rest guys (at some point in the game if not from the get go) given the Fins a handicap LOL.
gdp
Yes, you can win with an average QB. It happens. But, you know what? It’s a helluva lot easier to do it with a true franchise QB who can turn losses into wins a few times throughout the year. I just don’t see Tanny as that sort of guy….at least right now. I don’t expect him to go out and win every game on his own, but I do expect him to win 3 or 4 games a year when the rest of the team may not be firing on all cylinders. Maybe that’s just unrealistic or unfair.
***
For instance, Dallas probably would have lost yesterday if Romo didn’t play and make plays when it mattered. Do they win yesterday w/o Romo? Yes, they ran the ball, but Romo made plays to turn a potential loss into a win down the stretch. The QB matters in this league…a lot. They can be the difference. I don’t see Tannehill being the difference in games.
Thats about how i feel about him this year as well. He’s a JAG this year, not a current, or future franchise player.
Whole DL played pretty well. Suh and Mitchell were getting after it as well. Mitchell was getting raped with holds, i mean blatant dont give a shit the ref isnt going to call it, holding. He was still pretty damn disruptive.
Yet we gave up 166 yards rushing at a 5.7 yd clip. Couldn’t get a stop when we needed it after that last punt.

Agreed- it is well done.
so you assume the black guy is losing?
🙂
The “black guy” is a cop
D, I feel Tanny is getting caught up in the negative results and it may be affecting him mentally. He was very positive in the offseason and when the season started off poorly and Philbin got fired it was the complete opposite of what he and the rest of the team were expecting. I do think he’s had some bad games and bad moments but he’s also been excellent at times. I think the losing wears on these guys or forces them to question themselves. They’re human. Even Landry does some bone headed things and yesterday was the worst game he’s played that I remember.
Whatever it is, I want to see the Miami Dolphins be a good team again and whoever makes that happen I will root for them. I’m a team fan first, players second.
His 2 deep shots again were great to see. Seems no one can bash that aspect of his game anymore, especially since Mike Wallace is getting so much heat for his poorer play in Minny than in Miami with Tanny….lol.
So,
Like I always say, it ultimately comes down to the players on the field. Talent wins games. It’s up to coaches to maximize that talent, but you gotta have the talent to begin with…unless you have an elite QB….that changes everything.
QB’s also become elite with unheralded talent around them that make them look good.
Can’t say you are wrong.
McCain had a chance to be a star on one play and botched it; instead of an INT it’s a TD for Dallas.
That’s the way it goes.
At least Hewitt got his hands on another INT (two weeks in a row a penalty was called on those picks LOL but this time it was not against Miami).
Howie,
Individual efforts need to be emphasized by the positional coaches.
Don’t worry about the team effort, focus on fundamentals. Learn where to line up on offense when the play is called (this illegal formation shit is happening far too often); learn to just be a missile at a defender if the QB is NOT in the pocket (not this ‘lets try and block shit with my hands in the open field’ ala Fox and other offensive players. I’m also sick and tired of seeing blockers use their hands outside of the chest area of a defender. You aren’t going to get called for holding much if you are grabbing the inside part of the jersey on the numbers.

I think a new coach is going to have some nice pieces to sift through on this team
I think there is more talent on this team than most teams that are looking for a HC
I know there is talent on this team, bothers me when i keeps seeing people say there isnt. We are weak in a few spots as far as talent depth goes but there is plenty to work with here.
I think so too
how about dick lebow as dc maybe he will relize he doesn’t have many years left and he might start to enjoy s.florida with year round golf , sean payton as co- hc and oc, and wade philips as co- HC I’m sure Ross could sell them on the weather and big bucks for a dream coaching staff

——————-
Tanny has shown great improvement on his deep ball this year. It’s definitely NOT a problem, and yet every game the announcers mention at least once how he struggles with that. If you ever needed proof these stupid announcers just read shit off a card containing general discussion points from the year before instead of actually doing their homework, that’s it.
Agreed…is why I sit in a sports bar where you can’t hear the tv announcers as I yell at opposing fans or dumbass Phin fans….lol
Hard to evaluate the deep ball, we see maybe 1 every other game.
last year that 1 every game was 10 yards in front or behind of the receiver
its much better this year
its still not very frequent
He’s connected on deep balls in almost every game this year. Not throwing them a lot of them per game, but connecting on a good number of the ones he does throw. Too bad the rest of his game has regressed.
The infrequency with which they are thrown is probably still on Tanny.
I think when they speak about Tanny they have a button they push to discuss how he once was a WR at TAMU
I also agree his deep ball has been fine this year
a lot of improvement
its consistently good
but its still under utilized IMO
The throw to landry deep in the 1st qtr though may have been his worst deep ball of the year
I thought it hung up there for a while and allowd the DB to catch up as Landry slowed down
which lead to the drop
but the weather was basically shit when he made that throw and I think that was a factor
His deep balls in the 2nd half to Stills and Landry were good throws
Yeah, that one to Landry was pretty bad. He threw two beautiful deep balls later in the game though. I think he threw 3 in the game and connected on 2. I’ll take that for deep ball percentage

Al,
Dallas was suppose to be a Super Bowl team with romo. The game was right there. I still think the refs shafted us with holding calls at very opportune moments to give Dallas an edge. A dallas run to the playoffs is good for ratings.
I can’t wait for Jenkins and Juan james to get back. If they do and we don’t have major injuries I 5hink we can go on a run.
Lets beat the jets this weekend and go from there.
I feel the same way.
It’s different if the Fins were losing with zero penalties or zero dropped passes.
This team is it’s own worst enemy.
Against the Patriots they were in position several times through 3 quarters to cut the game down to 1 possession but something stupid like a dumb penalty or dropped pass would kill drives.
The Eagles out crapped Miami in that one and Dallas was doing their best to out crap Miami as well but the penalties were just too much.
I thought Romo almost single handily outcrapped the Dolphins
his interception were really bad ones
bad throws under pressure
Regarding Tanny, the one area fundamentally where he is having some issues in recent weeks is that area that Sherman used to repeat over and over during RT’s first two years…
That is ‘step up in the pocket’. Tim knows what I’m talking about because he used to hear the same coaches videos ..Sherman said it weekly.
Until we can run with ball with frequency and the interior OL then can pass block better, I think we’ll still see an issue there.
Here’s a pic from yesterday’s game on that Brent Grimes INT play….
LOL.
https://cmgpbpdailydolphin.files.wordpress.com/2015/11/112215-spt-dolphins-ae-031.jpg?w=296&h=300
LOL, my wife caught that live. She thought the Dallas guy actually threw our guy up into the air and was screaming “They threw him in the air!!!?!””
lol, I had to rewind to see what she meant. I was cracking up.
That holding call against Taylor when we had stuffed them on 3rd down, deep in their own territory was a killer. They went on to score 7 on that drive. Big moment in the game.
True, we forget in the aftermath how much a single flag here or there at the right moment can alter the game in a significant way….NBA style at times.
it was a bs call imo
I was so pissed I missed the replay. I figured it was BS, so I didn’t bother to rewind.
Holding calls are so flipping subjective, I hate them.
http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2015/11/23/monday-morning-dolphins-time-to-look-at-dolphins-future/
“At running back, the Dolphins only had 11 carries total between Lamar Miller and Jay Ajayi. The team was playing from behind but also only had the ball for little more than 20 minutes the entire game.
At receiver, rookie first-round draft choice DeVante Parker was practically invisible again. He had just four snaps against Dallas.
The Parker case is an odd one. The offseason foot surgery slowed him down. But he’s healthy now.
You don’t take a receiver in the top 15 of the draft unless you think he’s a game-changing stud.
The Dolphins still don’t have a receiver with size who is a threat in the red zone. Parker needs to become that guy.
For some reason, rookie Bobby McCain played just one snap against Dallas. He’s been playing well. It doesn’t make sense why he wasn’t used against the Cowboys.
Miami should also think about keeping rookie Tony Lippett active. Against the Eagles, Lippett played 23 percent of Miami’s defensive snaps with Grimes out with an illness and Brice McCain injuring his knee in the game.
Lippett — a 6-foot-3 receiver-turned-cornerback — is a project but a really intriguing one. It might not have hurt to give him a few snaps against the Cowboys, but the Dolphins didn’t activate him.
drafted rookie linebacker Neville Hewitt had his first career start on Sunday. He got after Dallas quarterback Tony Romo in the first quarter, leading to a Brent Grimes interception.
He later had his own interception and finished with two tackles and a pass defensed.
He played 57 snaps, 80 percent of the Dolphins’ defensive snaps. “
I loved seeing Hewitt’s number called on blitz schemes. He’s perfect for that with his speed.

Agree….the coaches need to play to the team strength and RUN BLOCK and RUN EFFICIENCY is much better at this point than PASS EFFICIENCY schemes.
Especially if your QB is seemingly off in a game, you have to counter with something else instead of adding fuel to the fire.
how about the play where Suh threw their OG to the ground and the OG came off the ground with BOTH his feet and Suh only used 1 arm. How impressive was that.
That was awesome 🙂

Agree, he threw 2 INT and McCain’s play should have been another IMO.
Instead, people look at just the safety saving left handed throw (that was a big play for sure) and the pair of TD he threw. The Williams TD pass was an aggressive one and a risk you have to take as a QB (the DB fucked up and the result is good but it was a risky pass none the less with help over the top). The TD pass to Bryant was set up pretty easily with a LB covering Bryant underneath and Aiken reacting late from a spot well away from where the play was going.
Aiken is garbage. Maybe he develops, but right now he gets roasted bad every week.
If he’d been in position, Romo would have had to have perfect ball placement out in front of Bryant for that TD. Aiken made it way to easy. It didn’t help that Hewitt was covering underneath and couldn’t actually stay underneath, lol, but a LB on Bryant is going to lose all day long…which is why it was doubled with Aiken.
He’s not ready, the Fins have put him in a bad spot to perform being so ‘project’ like. They haven’t done shit to address the FS other than draft 5th-7th Rounders in the last 15+ years. Clemons was the last one who showed anything serviceable.
As I said. The refs decided that game. It wasn’t a fair fight. Football is a game of inches. A couple of calls can change the game.
You can have a bonehead play or two if you offset them with big plays. We don’t. Start the game with a pick 6? No bigger play than that in the game. Romo had a couple bad plays, but he came back and made plays down the stretch. And I don’t even like Romo! Lol
The 3rd quarter was the beginning of the end for Miami after the Hewitt INT.
1st and 10, 15 yard pass to Matthews then 1st and 25 after a series of penalties.
Talk about getting momentum and shoving it straight up your own ass.
Boulder,
Agree on your last comment.
There was even one play where Jones read the play to the TE cutting over the middle and Jones was a foot away from getting a pick 6.
Yea I saw that.
Highlights from Dan Campbell’s news conference today:
The team had a meeting today that became emotional at times. Ndamukong Suh was among those who spoke up and, according to a source fully briefed on the meeting, was angry and direct and blunt with his teammates, calling for accountability.
But Dan Campbell declined to discuss what Suh said, saying it should stay in the building.
“We pointed out our errors and guys owned up to them and had a good talk about it,” Campbell said. “We always have emotional days after a loss. Guys handled it well. They took ownership. There were enough guys that were frustrated. There is one cure and it’s winning. Things are going to be said that people don’t mean, no matter who you are.”
Campbell went over the bad plays with the entire team and “I said tell me what happened on this play? We had guys who took ownership of it. They owned up to it. It wasn’t a call-out session. It was a take ownership session. Guys did that. To me, it’s a step in the right direction.”
PS. Campbell also noted that Blog Randy was wrong and wants him to turn in his playbook, err keyboard immediately!

I have been saying Fox sucks since day one! He’s a backup, but he’s a serious liability in pass pro. At least he’s not at LT anymore. If Albert goes down again, we’re screwed.
I’m glad that it was emotional and players were calling for accountability. The Cowboys didn’t beat us, we beat the hell out of ourselves. I said it right after the game. I counted 6 of our drives that stalled due to one person not doing his job.
And don’t get me started on the stupid inability to field a kickoff. I still can’t believe we have started inside our own 5 four times this year on kickoff returns!
herd,
QBs get away with everything! Even brain damage. Lol
When I say we’re not as talented as we were projected to be or as talented as some of us were hoping for doesn’t mean we have no talent, we definitely do. It’s just that you can’t keep seeing guys get beat one on one and saying we’re so talented. Having some good talent and young guys with upside is one thing, saying we’re loaded is another thing.
Did anyone notice the announcer saying at the start of the game when they preview the starters say that the Phins DL is good lead by Suh and Lamar Miller? I think he meant Olivier Vernon. LOL
The Dolphins allocated only 33 snaps to their entire 2015 draft class on Sunday: four by first-round receiver DeVante Parker, 16 for second-round defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, 12 for fifth-round running back Jay Ajayi and one for McCain. (Undrafted rookies played more than drafted rookies.)
Greg Jennings received only two snaps Sunday, and one of them ended with Rolando McClain’s interception return of Ryan Tannehill for a touchdown.
Bo, McCain got none?

Hug…anybody???
i use too, but there is only so many times one can get slapped by a stranger and keep going back for more.
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero
Dan Campbell said today Dolphins OL sometimes struggles against big, 2-gap DLines because Miami is not a big OL. The Jets are big, 2-gap DL.
Did you drag that from the no shit Sherlock file?
Preparing us for our 7th loss.

@OmarKelly Bills or Pats tonight? Come on Omar, get bold!
Omar Kelly ✔ @OmarKelly
I NEVER pick against the Pats
Uh…yeah. When you build a zone blocking team with smaller, quicker OL, your weakness is against big DL. Newsflash! Lol
That’s why you have to run it because you’re not building an OL like that to be in pass pro 40+ times. The ZBS is for the running game, to use quickness to get moving and create cutback lanes. In pass pro you still have to man up much of the time. We’re doing things ass backwards.
LOL GDP.
Quiz of the day (two parts)…..who is this and why does Omar want to be him?

you can’t plan a reaction like that
ok i will keep my cynical ones as long as you keep your niave one……wait not fair you dont wear pants.
and again i said, so if he goes to school and there is no reaction then he goes home and nothing happens. but if he goes to school and the shit hits the fan it is a payday. and never said the kid, i said the parents of the dad planned it.
That is not being naïve that’s being realistic in the face of a conspiracy you are suggesting
that is grassy knoll stuff
a lot has to go right to get the right reaction
and you are counting on an elementary school kid to manipulate a bunch of adults to make that happen
it does not matter what the parents may have planned (my guess is nothing)
they needed a child to execute it
and the kid probably has to be part of the planning to pull it off
he is not like a robot who the parents control from outside the school….lol
no way
that doesn’t pass any laugh test

see, why i doubt his HC ability. a coach should never prepare for the inevitable.
I’ve got to go with ffr on this one. With all the shootings at schools no one in their right mind would let a child go to school with something that looked like a bomb. If it was all innocent, all they had to do was clear it with the school ahead of time.
While my son was still in elementary school, a lot of his halloween costumes had a weapon of some sort or another. Couldn’t even have that at school for the halloween parties. Parents know what is allowed and what isn’t.
I carried a BB rifle to school as an elementary student. Didn’t get in trouble. Teacher just held it behind her desk until class was over, then I got it back.
I was 17 at the time. Just kidding about age in elementary skool. 😉

Of course nothing has changed. Theyr’re running philbins scheme.

The exact same issues this Dolphins team had under Joe Philbin exists under Dan Campbell. Nothing has changed!
it won’t change during the season either
being more physical in practice does help to make us more competitive IMO
but the design of the team is not something you can change after the 1st month of the season
Lazor is running Lazor’s scheme. He calls the plays. You know, lineup under center and run the ball and have success, go right back to shotgun on 2nd and 1 because he can’t help himself, get into 3rd and long on a pass pro penalty, then throw a bubble screen for 2 yards and punt.
piggy,
ok you are right. no one, and i mean no one in society ever plans anything for a law suit. i mean no one spills something in a walmart then walks thru it and falls. no one ever attempts to lift something at work then put in a fraudulent workers comp claim. what am i think that a poor lil or middle eastern boy would build something that looks like a bomb then take it to school but he was just being an innocent good lil boy. he should get a visit to the white house, oh wait never mind.
I didn’t say no one sets up a lawsuit and you know that
I don’t know why you have to twist some one’s words to discuss anything with them
People obviously set up lawsuits all the time, it doesn’t mean this one is
You can look at the known facts that aren’t in dispute and draw a conclusion without generalizing about what all people do which is irrelevent to what actually occurred
a child isn’t going to manipulate adults to have that reaction IMO
Its just not realistic to believe
BTW I didn’t accuse you of being cynical when I said you can keep your cynical pants
I said its okay to be cynical or skeptical
I’m all for it
But you are being oliver stone with a wild conspiracy on this one
I’m skeptical about everything and certainly not naïve
But your conclusion is not plausible, its absurd

yeah yeah yeah and then flick put his tongue on the pole and it got stuck and they had to call the fire department.
piggy,
my point is, just like herd just said, the parents knew taking that to school was wrong. 99% of parents would have known that was wrong. the parents let him take that for a reason. and in my opinion they got just the results they wanted.
His dad is well know for perpetrating ‘islamophobia’ suits & pushback. It was a choreographed project.
Yup. They’re now going to get a large sum of the taxpayers money.
stanger
Sorry…all kickers are the same person to me. Lol
Piggy, I agree. But I bet Campbell will win more games than philbin would have with this same team.

I guess all school districts are different, but where I live, even the toy “weapons’ with halloween costumes are enough to get you expelled. Zero tolerance.
they arrested him
would a kid in your school district be arrested for a toy weapon on the Halloween costume?
Its really 2 different things
I’m not saying the parent should not have stopped him from brining that to school or should not have known better
But saying it was a set up for a big pay day is a little too farfetched for me to believe
I don’t think from the onset they (his dad & others) thought it could lead to a big pay day or arrest, but they did have every intention of it gaining attention to their islamophobia cause.
I remember the story of a kid that chewed a pop tart into the shape of a pistol and got suspended.
The day someone dies from a pop tart other than cancer from eating it will be when hell freezes over.
Randy, I have a jersey here for you…..$201.00
Aqua cheese cloth with no number or name on it?
Piggy, you think the kid and his family should become rich because of that situation? They didn’t toss him off a bridge. LOL
That’s a different question entirely
I am suggesting its a response to being “wronged” and not a set up
do you think the kid set up the school to bring a lawsuit?
I don’t know how he is saying he is damaged
and you need to be damaged somehow
usually lawsuits that hit some one in the wallet lead to changes if they need to be made
So in some circumstances I think the plaintiff should profit
even if it doesn’t seem right that they do profit
the idea is to stop the event from occurring again
but the actual damages are what controls
herd,
havent kindergartners gotten in trouble for building a gun out of legos? everyone knows you cant do anything like that in school’s now.
but if you want my opinion, i think you need to send your son to school with a few tubes, a coil and an heating apparatus saying he just wanted to build a feeding tube for old people. then when they arrest him for bringing a still to school you can sue for 15mil saying they discriminated against your son cause he is from WV and they just assumed he was a back woods moonshine making hick. oh yeah and he gets to meet the president too.
That would be cool. I want some good ‘Shine’. Yee Haw

How would I know? No one will do it. It’s the rules. But were talking about something much different, something that looks like a bomb? I’m glad they did arrest him. I’d rather they make a mistake like that than not. I’m not willing to take the risk of it being an actual bomb and not doing something like calling the police.

But then again, if Omar got a job at the Boston Globe he’d start talking about how Brady is done. 🙂
‘But saying it was a set up for a big pay day is a little too farfetched for me to believe’
again every one knows you cant take something like that to school, but they did it just as a harmless prank.
The story is he did it as a science project not as a prank
it doesn’t matter if he wasn;t supposed to do it
there are plenty of things that are not supposed to be done that lead to many different reactions
This could have went 1000 different ways if the child broke the rules
The likelihood of it being something other than a pay day or a huge amount of media attention over how they were ‘wronged’ is very very small IMO.
Yeah he was treated like a king from many people it doesn’t mean he set it up
He didn’t but his dad did from a lot of reports.
My dad actually built flintlock rifles…built around 300 of them over the years. Some he’s sold for thousands of dollars and been shown in magazines. Props to my old man…he is an amazing craftsman. Anyway, I actually took one of his guns to school for a show-and-tell thing in elementary school. Lots of guys had hunting guns in their cars in the parking lot all day depending on the season…pretty sure some teachers probably did too. Guys came to school with ammo they’d forgotten they had in their pockets all the time.
***
It’s really sad that our world has come to this. For me, the worst part of the story is that children can’t take things like that to school anymore w/o it being this sort of thing. I get the issue with bringing something to school that looks like a bomb…but it should never have come to this. Sad.
It was a different time then. You can bet the police would be called and yes, a student would be arrested for bringing that to school in today’s world.

I can probably site about 1000 different times people benefitted after an incident went badly for them
It doesn’t mean they planned it
its hard to get that result
