Happy New Year to all my friends here, Tanneshills and Tannekills alike!
Just remember, no matter what, we’re all on the same team here! Enjoy yourselves tonight, be safe, be smart, and have fun.
Here’s to hoping we get things right for our team next year, and to all, peace, love, health and happiness!
Mike E.

lol at herds link. i never knew sex, booze and orgasms were 3 different things
See, this blog is educational. 😉
I wonder if we can pick up Mario Williams on the cheap
I knew someone would bring that up. He’ll have plenty of suitors not on the cheap.
Umm…helloooo…we have Dion Jordan…….sometimes I wonder about you Piggy…are you drunk already?
Actually Jordan will probably be given every opportunity to turn his career around. If the new coaches aren’t feeling his effort he’ll be cut.
Jeff Ireland bust drunk
Yes I am!
LOL at Herds link above essentially mocking Mike E’s wishes in his article above word for word…..of course, I would not want Mike E wishing me the other things that are on that link….he may feel the need to help provide them.
All the men on Mike’s block are wearing cups tonight.
LOL…on the outside of their pants so he won’t even try……
Tim,
I hope so with respect to your comment on Jordan.
I’m not saying he will succeed, but he has too much talent to not give him a look. Think about what all these other players do in this league and they get chance after chance. My main issue with Jordan is I’m not sure he loves football.
I know what you mean. If he can contribute at this point, it is like a freebee.
I don’t know if you guys are watching the game
But clemsons DBs are all worth a look
Alexander, Tankersly and Kearse who is related (I think the nephew) to the original freak
The inky player I can think of for OK is Eric Striker
I think GDP is a fan of his
If he gets a chance to prove himself
Jordan is like the Robert Downey jr of the NFL
Great play by tankserly
Bookman, yes on the outside with a sign that says Closed for New Year’s Eve. They then all get nervous when they see Mike wearing these.

LMAO! The most disturbing thing about this picture is, somehow you found it…
You can say the same thing about 90% of the pics Tim posts
Exhibit A is his 12:58 post
I had to save a kid’s life today.
By stopping him from being a dolphin fan?
I said a life.
Piggy, apparently “Enchanters” have unlimited access to disturbing pictures.
They then all get nervous when they see Mike wearing these.
well no all of us.
SB7….choking?
This is the secret to my madness. I type weird statues.

SB7 likes to play Alex Trebek when telling a story.
Oh, I get it…. “what is Tim’s explanation of why SB7 does not provide more details?”
OK. Lets go MSU!!!!!!
so the clemson coach said ‘god is good’ hmmmmm never knew god hated Oklahoma
ok well i am out for the night peeps. i promise for all you non east coasters i wont spoil the new year and what happens at midnight.
but as some on here have said, do all be safe and take care. and here is hoping each and every one of you have a great 2016.
You too FFR
This is why he left. LOL

Because you posted this video of him??
5 years ago the Warriors got new ownership who said they’d run the team like a ‘fan’, not a business. They hired a “The Logo” to evaluate talent, a former agent as GM to structure contracts, and rebuilt a perennial laughing stock into a a champion. Is this model the Dolphins only hope? (still waiting for new A’s ownership) lol
Bookman, if FFR sees that gif he’ll know what it means. It’s an old joke from the SS. LOL
Oh..OK. It kind of looks like Bob Uecker…LOL
That dude is an actor. I can’t think of who or what that’s from. Could be Waterboy.
Blake Clark from Waterboy
Wow I got it first try. LOL
I wonder if Ross makes Urban Meyer a deal he can’t refuse to come back to Florida and test the NFL waters?
I know people here don’t like him but I’ve seen interviews with him and he’s basically a straight shooter. I don’t know the details of all his stuff and I don’t care. He’s still coaching OSU. He’s not in jail. LOL
What I do know from listening to tons of discussions on radio and TV, the American football community thinks Meyer is one of the best football coaches in the country.
Do you think he wants to coach in the NFL?
He said no.
“I wonder if Ross makes Urban Meyer a deal he can’t refuse to come back to Florida and test the NFL waters?” 🙂
OD would give his season tickets to a hobo and never watch the phins again lol
That Blake Clark guy is in a lot of Sandler movies
Will say this about Meyer, his offense in college has always centered around read option and the one year at Florida he didn’t have a QB capable of running it he tried to ram a round peg into a square hole instead of switching his scheme to fit his talent. Makes me think he doesn’t have but one offensive philosophy, and its one that everyone insists won’t work in the NFL.
You’d know better than me. I’m just going by what I’ve heard about Meyer. He’s considered a Harbaugh level guy.
He’s a good coach but he a win over ethics guy. I’d compare him more to belichick, someone he is really friendly with.
Bookman. Yeah Choking, but not from food. I was at a rock climbing wall with my oldest and we were getting our equipment off when apparently another girl slipped and as she was coming down she turned and the back of her helmet caught one of the supports. It was the only thing she was hanging by at that point and her chinstrap was up into her throat. I had to climb up and get her down.
Holy shit.
And good job man.
Bravo, man!!!! We live in a world of obstacles. Well done!
Wow. Kudos to you my man!!!!
That is prett awesome !
Man this generation is going to be a hideous generation of old people. Most are covered in tattoos which when they get older is going to be awful looking
D…Yeah…..good thing is, I probably wont be around to see it….
What do you mean?
Pig, thanks.. just for that I am eating a pound of bacon tomorrow!!!….by the way…who is this guy?
It was crazy. Could have happened to my own kid.
Bookman
That’s a pic Tim
😃
I had that birthmark and everything. LOL

That is just how I imagine you look, except I thought you had a mouth.
Guess that is a more recent pic since the Met-Life Meltdown.
Tim — you look good clean shaved…….stick with that
LMAO!!!! You guys are killing me!!!
great…now you post a picture of my ex wife
Well done sb7mvp! That’s hero stuff right there.
Cyrus Jones moving up my late round CB potential list. Could double as our return man
Alabama just shredding them now
Damn coker makes manziel look like he has a clear complexion
LOL!
Sometimes High Definition TV can show things we would rather not see in detail.
Cheers to Trapper John and Wayne Rodgers……..RIP
Yeah I got no one else to toast with……wife is sick an a couple hours into sleep. 🙂
RIP Indeed. Hard to believe he was that old, though I can do the math and see he was on that show 40 years ago. means we’re all getting “that old”.
Fireworks go on forever
Happy & Blessed New Year to all of you.
Had a very nice New Years Eve at my neighbors, which included some special company from the group we go away with up in the mountains every summer. It’s always to good to see those friends, a treat to see them other than our summer trip.
I hope everyone here had a nice evening as well, and isn’t hurting too much from last night’s festivities.
Well I see the team settled the discussion on here yesterday by naming Jarvis Landry and Rashad Jones co MVPs
Lol, too true.
Happy New Yea everyone! I hope it’s a blessed and fulfilling you year for everyone here.
I did my usual new years eve tradition of going to bed at 9.
If anyone knows a profitable way to re-purpose Mucus I am producing at at around 3 gallons an hour! 😦
I hate this draft but it would be good for the team!
Round 1 Pick 7: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss (A+)
Round 2 Pick 7: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson (A)
Round 3 Pick 7: William Jackson III, CB, Houston (A-)
Round 4 Pick 7: Dominique Alexander, ILB, Oklahoma (B+)
Round 5 Pick 7: Kamalei Correa, OLB, Boise State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 7: Jordan Lomax, FS, Iowa (A)
Round 7 Pick 7: Jason Fanaika, DE, Utah (B)
Round 7 Pick 8: Frankie Williams, CB, Purdue (A-)
Do you have the extra 7th for trading Will Davis to BAL? I checked the Great Blue North Draft Report which is usually reliable with traded picks and they don’t have our trade listed there.
http://gbnreport.com/traded-draft-picks/
Don’t know
Fanspeak and Firstpick both have 2 7th’s for us!
Tim you are correct!
Dolphins
Traded • Will Davis to Ravens for • 2016 seventh round pick (?-?) on 2015-09-21

Happy New Year all! I’m going to lower my expectations this year an wish for a winning record. It seems that wishing we would make the playoffs was way too much to ask.
SB
Good on you man! That’s very impressive sir! Jake would be proud of such a feat
2016 is starting off horribly for the entertainment field; first Wayne Rogers and now Natalie Cole, an underrated singer in her own right. RIP.
Shame. RIP Natalie, Wayne
Yeah that sucks.
Okay I took a shot at this without knowing much about a lot of these players. So I went with some areas of need and competition and a new focus on the running game. Should we lose Miller and Ajayi is his replacement, I felt we needed to add more depth and physicality to the run game.

Well maybe not so good for Jaylon Smith. Ugh!!!

My FMU wishes for the new year:
*Ross puts in a workable, sustainable system for this team to follow, one that builds and grows talent and leads to a model the rest of the league will want to follow.
*We here continue to debate and vent out frustrations, without anger or animus towards each other, on the wide variety of topics brought up everyday. None of us agree with each other on everything, but each of us should try to be respectful towards others’ point of view, without the condescension and dismissive tone that sometimes makes an appearance.
* Some of our old timers pop in for visit once in a while (Convict, Payaso, others too numerous to name), and that we continue to push for new members (uwantwat is the most recent I can think of). This place will die without new blood.
maybe now piggy will finally get why he is so wanted
http://www.msn.com/en-us/video/downtime/baby-eats-bacon-for-the-first-time/vi-BBo1pIf
So who still wants to draft Connor Cook or Paxton Lynch?
It wasn’t their fault, it was:
The o line
The scheme
The receivers
The coaches
The field
The weather
The _________
I sense some condescension there. 😉
I should probably resolve to let THAT go, too. 😞
I was joking around tongue and cheek, but you could also own what you said previously and not completely ignore it. You seem to have issues with some people here or you wouldn’t have said it in the first place.
I completely own it. I was speaking mostly of my own shortcomings, though a finger pointing forward… 😉
Some truth that was a discrepancy in talent level in both those games but my point is that no one in this year’s QB class is a sure thing to be better than what we have.
ken ken ken, just smh tsk tsk tsk. dont you know any qb is better then what the fins have.
Backups and the unknown are always preferred. LOL
try,
nice wishes. i will say this, i think sometimes the condescension and dismissive tone are merely cause we are on a blog and can only read the words but not hear the tone or emotion they are said in. why one should always take what is said here as not personal.
and am i they only one that every time i see the name uwantwat read is u wan twat
You are correct that tone and emotion get lost in the written word. If you were face to face it would be resolved easily with a simple “I’m just saying man, that’s how I feel.” Want another beer? 🙂
I just Clemson beats Alabama next week
tim,
and that holds true for most teams just not the dolphins. the only exceptions are those so called elite qbs
Oh yeah, some Giants fans are still calling for replacing Eli. LOL
ken
i saw this on twitter the other day. thought it would make a good avi for you
Lol thank you

With Dennis Hickey likely out in Miami, the name to watch is Chris Grier http://wp.me/p14QSB-9X71
Since I bailed on the Chargers game because I couldn’t take it anymore and we had company over, I missed this. Devante Parker at 2:24 shows you how good this kid is. He displays a good route and catch, quickness and speed, and utilizing his size, strength and physicality. He’s going to be a very good WR, already is. He’s already shown us he’s a playmaker.
http://www.miamidolphins.com/multimedia/videos/DeVante-Parker-Micd-Up/0b715549-9f29-46f4-a348-a6e275835c6d
He needs to be more consistent in route running. There are times he just quits on a route but you can see he has the skills to be good at it
Like most rooks who were late to the party. He missed a lot of time and training. I think it’s about he’s not always sure what he’s suppose to do. The talent is there for sure though. He’s already made a bunch of big plays and he and Landry could be a special combo for years to come.
Chris Grier?
I’ll take it!
At least Omar can concentrate on something other than being a dick! 😉
Try
I also wish some of the old guys would pop in, that would be cool, but I get the feeling those guys are long gone now. Even the once banned and shunned NJ who is now more than free to blog now doesn’t have the time or desire to blog. I think if any one of us took a long break, we’d probably do the same. Maybe not, but possibly.
You’re probably right. I went away for about a year. But it was to the bigger point- keeping this place alive. If more people leave than come back or we don’t get new blood, this place dies- although I do miss chatting with some of the old guys that have moved on- NMDolphin always comes to mind for me, as well as the other 2 I mentioned.
I hear ya. Not sure exactly how or where to attract new people here

Cheers, Try! 🙂
And to you 😀
Wow, Hickey is being scapegoated and I was wrong on this whole Tannebaum/Hickey relationship. Ross hired Tannebaum to be his point man and run the football team. In typical fashion Tannebaum is going to hire his people which is the way most people feel it should be done whether you like the guy or not. Mr. T will hire his personnel guy and then assist Ross in the HC search. This is actually the new beginning even of you don’t like Tannebbaum being the guy.
Chris Grier was our Director of College Scouting and cut his teeth in NE. We could see a very different approach in how our team is built. I expect it to be more physical. See the Suh signing and drafting Phillips in the 2nd rd.
I told you Tannenbaum is pushing Hickey out the door. You didn’t believe me
I admit I was wrong.
Well there is always the old saying “Grass always grows greener over the septic tank”
If they plant the right seeds we should be able to grow an Amazon rain forest with all the turds we have had around!
Well now gear up for the type of coach Tannenbaum will target like him or not, this is our situation. Last year there were rumors he wanted Philbin fired and to hire Dan Quinn a defensive coach. I think we will target a defensive coach who can then hire an OC to get this offense going in a more balanced direction. 64 pass/36 rush is not good. I have no idea what we do on defense other than I see us becoming more physical.
Tim
Why do you say Hickey is being scapegoated? Did I miss an article?
That was probably not the best way to say it when in reality Tannenbaum is just bringing in his own people. I don’t think Hickey did a bad job though. He took over a tough situation and he’s only had 2 years. But Mr. T likely has a different vision than he. I think we want to become more like Seattle. Play tough, physical defense, run the ball and utilize RT’s skills as a compliment, not as the go through guy. I’ve always said I do not think RT is a 40+ shotgun pocket passer. I think we’re going to see us go in that direction we’ve talked about. 🙂
Mike E, doesn’t Piggy send out links on Twitter to come here?
Who listens to a pig on twitter?
I’m hardly ever on twitter Tim, not sure
Wyo
Thanks for the link
I don’t think Hickey did a poor job, but all the reasons we hired him for no longer exist.
Probably or Mr. T just has a different vision. This team lacks physicality, that’s going to change. That’s why Campbell became the interim HC – to start that after a 1-3 start and poor physicality.
Harbaugh has dismantled that Florida D. What a coach. OSU crushing ND too. Not a very interesting day so far.
Mike E, I’m not on Twitter but Piggy posts invitations from time to time for this blog.
Gotcha – It doesn’t appear to be working, or those people come here to read, but not post, which is entirely possible. One of the things that I suppose can’t be avoided is the fact that all of us know each other, and others might feel it would be difficult to break into the inner circle.
Yeah the SS was open to everyone. This blog is somewhat personal. It’s like a click bar, who’s this dude looking at our chicks? LOL
Here you go.
http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/article-1/A-Message-From-The-Owner/cd783de3-9dde-4311-995d-e3c379a764e8
Who will be the next head coach? Anyone have a gut feeling? I do not.
PhinPhanatic @PhinPhanatic 7m7 minutes ago
Dolphins to fire Dennis Hickey on Monday? http://ift.tt/1RVkdUd
Not that it means anything specific but ever other HC in our division is a defensive coach. We’re 0-5.
Even with your optimism – You can go ahead and say 6
Not optimism but the future has not been played yet. LOL
Mike E,
I think the blog does a pretty good job. There was definitely going to be some changes with the split but there’s usually a solid amount of activity from the regulars. It’s a tough time to be a fan of this team and a lot of the sites have went away over the years.
Then you throw in the busy schedules and it’s definitely hard to keep thing up. I respect the hell out of you, Ken, Piggy, herd, etc for all the work you guys do. Maybe Bat, Jahn, and others who have either been busy or just generally dismayed by this team will have opportunities to visit this offseason.
Dynamics change in people’s lives. I don’t worry about who comes here and who doesn’t unless something bad happened to someone. I happen to be on a computer a lot so it’s easy for me to be here. I’m on a computer at work all day and prefer active convo over TV most of the time. I only watch TV when I’m tired and looking to doze off or watching sports. So I am an information and engage freak to a point. Except I’m not a huge FB guy though I am active, but no Twitter. I’m usually listening to talk radio or music when I post.
I come here for fun and similar interests, nothing more.
Thank you. We appreciate the continued support of those who come on here to blog
I haven’t abandoned you guys just yet New Age! It’s just that I’m probably busier than I’ve ever been in my life. I still try to read from time to time, and if it helps at all, my new business has been taxing on my family as well.
I’ve resolved that no matter what it takes, I’m going to be more involved as a husband and father in 2016! Best wishes to you and yours and everyone here and may it be a healthy, happy, peaceful and prosperous 2016 for all of you!!!!
Jahn,
We miss your convos but Im not here as often either. I’m just glad you are busy doing what you like doing and are having success! Have a great year and continued success in all your endeavors and family activities.
I knew you didn’t abandon us. It’s good to see you whenever you can stop by here
Happy New Year, man!
maybe if mike e would be more open minded to single men the blog would get new readers.
Mike Reiss @MikeReiss 6m6 minutes ago
Patriots rule out LB Dont’a Hightower, WR Julian Edelman, CB Justin Coleman, OT Sebastian Vollmer, DE Chandler Jones, LB Jonathan Freeny.
And they will still win by 30
Darren Lee is an interesting LB!
Might be available in the 2nd
Keep the first 3 (if Wake is healthy)
Flush the rest!
New Age
Thanks brother! We just want it to be a fun place to come to, get some info occasionally, and mostly just bullshit with some cool people. Appreciate the kind words
So, there it is in writing from the owner, Tannenbaum will be heading the search. I had hoped that wouldn’t be the case, but it was kind of naive to expect Ross to ditch the guy he just hired to build this team. I honestly don’t have a lot of confidence in Mr. T, but we just all have to hope he can prove us wrong.
Yep! I’m not his biggest fan but he does have some positive track record too. People seem to forget that and only point out re-signing Sanchez and the way he left the cap. That team was going for it. Rex also failed and has been for awhile now.
Jahn
Hang in there man. I’m sure your family understands and is 100% behind you in your undertaking. It’s always tough when family time is compromised by work, but at least you know the business is growing well, so it will all be worth it. Best of continued luck, and hopefully soon, this New year will allow you more family time, and to be prosperous enough to to do what you want to do when you have the time to do it.
Wyo
I think it’s finally time to part ways with Wake. I can’t see him being anywhere as good as he was, and even when he was healthy, he was never a big part of a meaningful game. Like people say about Tannehill, he disappears in big games, the same could be said for Wake.
It’s unfortunate and probably the case.
DE (edge guys) heading into 2016 not signed are Fede, D. Moore, Jordan (aka Fuckface) and Chris McCain. We’re not paying Coples $7+M. We need help there and with what could be a bad injury to LB Jaylon Smith, DE could be the pick or the injured LB Myles Jack. Not sure drafting an injured guy in the 1st is the way to go. Just saying! I still like ILB Reggie Ragland but some think 5-8 is too high for him.
Part ways with Cameron he hasn’t done crap
He has made plays and scored some TDs but he was not a constant in this offense. Then again this offense sucked in theory.
I think he has 1 maybe 2 TDs. He has been invisible
Howdy guys and gals. Quick fly by before I turn in.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all.
2015 was a family annus horriblis – dad broke his hip back on 1st of Feb, had an infection, had another new hip, broke the other hip, is in a nursing home, his dementia is getting worse and he’ll never walk again. A week before Christmas, mum got her foot snagged in some wire and went down and broke her hip too. I’d just finished building a ramp to try to get dad into the house and home for Christmas lunch and I ended up using if for both of them. Been a non-stop Christmas caring for them both and trying to make what will probably be dad’s last Christmas special. Not looking for sympathy as I know many have been through much worse here. Not even had time to read for 2 weeks but I hope everyone is well and 2016 will be better for all of us and it certainly can’t be worse for the Fins (surely?!?).
Go F’ers, Go Fins
Bedtime for UKfinfans – nogtih all
Mate, I’m so sorry that happened and you’re going through this. I know the feeling with the elders. Tough times.
Happy New Year and wishing you and yours all the best.
Goodnight UK- I was thinking about you when I was writing my wish list for the new year. Hope this year is more peaceful for you.
If you look at Cameron, he had one good year. His production this year was consistent with every other season he played with the exception of ’13 when he had 80 catches for 917 and 7 TD’s.
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CameJo00.htm
He’s so far from being a dominant player that can change a game. To me, he’s probably better suited as a 2nd TE, like Zach Miller is to Martellus Bennett.
Ken, Cameron wasn’t really used. He does show up with some nice plays though. TE was not a staple of our fucked up offense. Please make it go away. I know it will now with Mr. T in charge even if you don’t want him here. We will not run that god awful offense anymore. Hallelujah! LOL
UK – Happy New Year bud! Good to see ya, and sorry about your mum and dad. Best wishes for the both of them, and you as well of course.
I used to put a link to the blog on twitter when I did OD’s articles. The thing is, if you don’t have a lot of followers on twitter, which the blog does not, no one sees it. So, if anyone of you who are active on twitter, feel free to post links to the blog to bring new people in. Post links to the blog on FB. Post links on other Dolphins blogs. I’m open to any other suggestions.
Thoughts are with you UKFinFan!
I was not criticizing anyone about the comings and goings here, I was just saying there seems to be a (natural?) attrition rate that will make this blog less active at an ever-increasing rate without new blood. Or worse, it will become the same 5 people with nothing new to say, and that already exists elsewhere.
I didn’t take it in a bad way, I don’t think any of us do. We’d love to grow it some more. Any suggestions are welcome. :
UK, I hate to hear what’s happening with your parents. All the best to you.
Ken says:

ken, i dont know about that. i pretty much have seen him do nothing but crap the all season long.
UK:
I empathize with you having gone through that in recent years. You will appreciate building that ramp even if it only serves for a short time. It is the fact that you have done all you could for your parents in their declining years. They will appreciate it but you will appreciate it as well.
Maybe there are others from the TryPod clan that want to join in here . . .
