Put Me in Coach . . .

Adam Gase

Miami Dolphins Head Coach Adam Gase

The Miami Dolphins have named their 12th Head Coach in the history of the franchise, Adam Gase.  The former Offensive Coordinator of the Chicago Bears and also the Denver Broncos, is now the youngest Head Coach in the NFL at 37 years old.   Adam Gase and the Miami Dolphins will not be hiring an Offensive Coordinator this season, as Gase will fill those duties himself.

Gase has already begun filling out his staff, beginning with the hiring of former Cincinnati Bengals Defensive backs and former NFL CB Vance Joseph.

Gase has also named Matt Burke, former Cincinnati Bengals Linebacker Coach to man that same post for the Miami Dolphins

Our new Tight Ends Coach is Shane Day, who was the TE Coach for the Chicago Bears

Replacing the vaunted John Benton is Chris Foerster.  Foerster spent the 2004 season as Offensive Coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, but joins the Dolphins after coaching last year as OL Coach for the SF 49ers.

The Dolphins have also named Shawn Jefferson as Wide Receivers Coach, former NFL WR, and former Wide Receivers Coach of the Tennessee Titans.

In addition to all the position coaches and assistants, the Dolphins have promoted Eric Stokes, formerly the Assistant General manager of the Dolphins to Senior Personnel Executive.

So, what does all this mean?  Will Adam Gase be able to transform our predictable, ineffective offense into a high scoring unit?  Will new DC Vance Joseph employ a 4-3, or a 3-4, or a hybrid of both?  Will former Dolphins OC and now OL Coach Chris Foerster be able to fix this much maligned unit?  There a lots of questions that beg to be answered, but patience will be necessary folks, because we have a long way until we play our 1st regular season game in 2016, and we probably won’t have all the answers until possibly the end of the 2016 season, or maybe even years later.

Yeah, I’ve already started feeling optimistic, they suckered me in again!  I like that Gase will be the OC, and will be calling the plays.  No excuses about chain of command or the OC being stubborn and not listening to the HC, because the HC is the OC.  Accountability my friends, and I like it!  Gase has a lot of work to do to catch up with our divisional foes.  Save for the victory against the Patriots in Week 17, the Dolphins were 1-5 in the AFC East, and if we want to contend for a playoff spot, we must do better against our divisional foes.

Here’s to hoping Gase is the magic man, and Bill Belichick, Todd Bowles and Rex Ryan are all screaming at the end of next year for Adam Gase to get off their case!

GO DOLPHINS !!

I didn’t know you were allowed to line your QB up directly behind the Center and let him dive forward for 1 yard. That is legal? Where did that play come from? I never saw the Dolphins run that. You must have to have an immobile QB to run that play…..Oh Well…

  2. bookman11 says:

    Tim,

On a different topic, I do give Brady credit for what he has accomplished. People can talk about cheating, and the refs, and blah, blah, blah…….but Brady is still a great QB……he has not been this good this long just because of those other things….dude is nails……it just sucks he is with NE….just my opinion.

    • Tim Knight says:

He’s been in a system that fits him for 12-13 years with the same HC. Early on he won because of the defense. Like Ken says about his brother, he lives a charmed life. He found the right place at the right time. No denying it.

  3. finfanrob says:

    bookman

ok fine, then i ask you this. if brady is all that then why cheat?

    • bookman11 says:

FFR, I guess what I am saying is that I do not believe they cheated in every game in every year he has played. It is not like they have won the SB every year. The NFL has not handed him everything he has accomplished. The dude has played for a long time…I cannot take away from the fact that he has had a great career, and is clutch. Again…this is just my view, which I know is not popular on a Dolphins site…LOL

  4. getterdone says:

C’mon KC. They get the ball to start the 2nd half.
Score a TD and it could be a tie game!

  5. finfanrob says:

    bookman

i dont see anything wrong with speaking highly of a player that may play for a team one hates. this has nothing to do with him cause he plays for the cheats. imo he is a cheater. his team has been caught several times cheating. i dont doubt in some way they still are and just havent been caught again. i just cant have any respect for a player like that. it leaves to question everything he has done. did he do it legal or was he cheating when he did it? no matter what the question is out there.

    • bookman11 says:

Fair enough…..I don’t want to get too caught up in tis subject as it is just a matter of perspective and opinion for each of us.

  6. finfanrob says:

    bookman

same here. he isnt worth the little brain power we have.

    • bookman11 says:

Exactly…I would much rather talk about how Aaron Rodgers is an arrogant prick and I hope the Cardinals sack him 8 times again tonight.
Oh, maybe I should clarify by saying that I hate the Packers.

  7. finfanrob says:

    bookman

i get your hate for the pack. kind of like mine for the bucs. about all i can say about rodgers is this

Doug Pederson & Andy Reid pathetic clock mgmt!!!

  9. bookman11 says:

This is the worst clock management ever

    • steveccnv says:

That’s why I’m on here, to comment on that joke of a hurry up offense, wtf were they doing leading up to the 2 minute warning? Why run it from inside the 1, then don’t get another play off? RT would’ve been blasted on here for that type of clock management.

  11. getterdone says:

Pathetic onside kick. Why not kick it to the left side, away from where Gronk is???
NO, they kick it straight to Gronk the tallest guy on the friggin field.
KC must have money on the spread.

  12. finfanrob says:

lol @ you guys and that cheats game.

i said it at the beginning of the season. cheady wont be suspended, fagdell will make sure he wins the sb and then he can go off as the qb with the most sb wins and he can retire.

and for good measure fagdell will say if brady comes back he is suspended for the start of his next game

In one of his many job interviews over the past two years, Gase was asked by one executive if he knew his personal record against Dan Quinn, the Seattle defensive coordinator who became the head coach in Atlanta. “It’s 0-2,” Gase responded, “and I’m going to tell you something right now: He’s never going to f—ing beat me again.”

    If an actuality??
COOL, and like Getter (a lil fire in the HC) & Pig (I’m just glad that he curses)…
AHHHHH But’eye’like’it’too, and wish we were playin ATL in o16 !!!! GO GASE, GOFINS!!!

  14. finfanrob says:

dont be surprised tomorrow if pitt magically gets a few calls to help them upset the broncos so the pats have that home field afc championship game

  15. Porn-Star HugeAction say’s he doesn’t plan on having an OC !!
    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000623547/article/browns-hue-jackson-i-dont-plan-on-having-an-oc

When Gase said that he’d be calling plays (a week BEFORE HJax did)..
I wondered to myself, hmmm whats the need for an OC then??

Gase & Huge-Action both plan on being HC, OC, and Play-callers??
Well at least that’ll narrow down who to credit and/or blame !!

    • bookman11 says:

KV…that is interesting, but when you think about it, I live near Green Bay and have no clue who the Packer OC is…this has existed elsewhere in the respect that there may be someone with the title of OC, but the HC is in reality the OC….semantics to me.

      • 13kvFINS says:

“semantics indeed” HJax said that he’s gonna hire a guy to do OC stuff but he won’t have the title of OC.. Guess it save money ; )) LOL… Gase has rich-azz Ross some money’s no factor as I’m hearing they did afterall hire an OC today, glad though that Gase will be doin what he’s been proficient at (callin plays).. You were an SS guy.. Right ?? Kind’a remember the name towards the SS end, though I left long before and just visited from time to time… Anyways, good to know’ya Bookman : ))

  16. finfanrob says:

    bookman

i was just saying dont be surprised if the game is close that pitt gets a few favorable calls to give the cheats the home game. it isnt like pitt and ne would not be getting the same if not better ratings then a manning brady match up

  17. finfanrob says:

lol @ the talk on tv about how green bay fans travel well. of course they fucking do, who wouldnt do anything to get out of green bay

  18. finfanrob says:

we all know who to blame. it is henne’s fault

    • Naa-Uhhhh BMarshall purposely sabotaged him with 20 plus blatantly dropped TD passes while when he did catch one with nuttin but grass some sort of invisible entity made him lose his balance and run outta bounds ; )), and how-bout the trip on a 1 yard TD pass that he arranged beforehand with Revis to return 101…
“”Psssst, psssst, hey Revis, I’m gonna pretend to trip so you can take it 101 and I can get this F’N QB outta here”””

  19. finfanrob says:

    lol @ bookmans 1 degree

i admit i have no idea what that would be like. where as here i have the house open and enjoying a nice brisk evening

    • bookman11 says:

      FFR,

I grew up in Wisconsin (as a Fins fan), moved to Central Florida for 12 years, and then moved back here. The one thing I miss about Florida is the weather in the winter…I hated Florida weather May-October, but I did enjoy the lower humidity, lower temperature winters at times.

By the way….it is a dry cold here…..not that bad…LOL!

  20. finfanrob says:

    lmao @ bookman

yeah that dry 1 degree isnt so bad. i mean it probably makes if feel like 6 degrees

  21. bookman11 says:

FFR, I don’t know…it is 70 degrees in my basement and the vodka makes it warmer. I just hope it gets to 0 degrees, because that means there is NO temperature…right?

  22. bookman11 says:

Oh…and ironically, the high tomorrow is going to be 0.

  23. finfanrob says:

how the hell is the high 0. 0 is 0. there is no high. it is zero so there is none. it like when they forecast a 50/50 chance of rain. you i fucking knew that before you told me. either it will rain or it wont, yeah i got the 50/50 chance. it is like there is a 50/50 chance i will wake up in the morning, either i will or i wont

  24. bookman11 says:

FFR….LMAO…exactly…if it is zero, that means there is no temperature at all!!.

Thank God the low temperature tomorrow night is a more manageable -8. That means the temperature is in debt to us by 8 degrees.

  25. finfanrob says:

the news can just skip the weather.

being tomorrow the temp is 0 we will not being having any weather. on to sports

  26. getterdone says:

    Andrew Abramson ✔ @AbramsonPBP
#Dolphins hire Clyde Christensen as offensive coordinator. Adam Gase will continue to call plays for Miami.
    _______________________________________
Interesting! He’s the current QB coach in Indy, been the QB coach since Andrew Luck got drafted.
But was also the Colts OC from 2008-2011.
He was also the Bucs OC back in 2001.

  27. D says:

Looks like Clyde is from the Tony Dungy coaching tree

  28. getterdone says:

Horrible officiating. Like they’re trying to will Rodgers & GB to a win.
So what else is new….WWF NFL lol

  29. D says:

BTW to go with some of your lb discussions from earlier, I have been looking at beniquez brown, miss state lb. A little small for ilb, but he’s a solid player. Might need to put on about 15 lbs but he has good instincts decent coverage skills and looks NFL ready

  36. finfanrob says:

and how the fuck does that happen. 90 yards in two plays to tie up a playoff game.

    • The Flying Pig says:

Aaron Rogers was just throwing it way down the field

      He didn’t even throw underneath
      I’ve never seen that

It looked like a sandlot offense

      • steveccnv says:

Marino threw a Hail Mary from deep in our end with just under a minute to go (no timeouts left) to a big TE, then on the next play threw another one into the endzone for the win I believe. Not sure who it was against. I’ve been calling for this ever since when trailing late when it seems hopeless, instead of those 4 yrd passes that burn 30 seconds off of the clock.

  37. getterdone says:

    Fitz! What a play call.

  38. finfanrob says:

    More good stuff for Tanny.

he is on his last stance, he better start performing better. i think you know i dont blame him for all the faults of this team. but this is his last chance to stand up and be better

    • getterdone says:

Yep, we’ll see how it goes. A lot of guys are on their last stance. The whole team needs a better system & better play on both sides of the ball and at just about every position.

  41. steveccnv says:

Check out Stinky Sanchez at the 8:43 mark.

  42. naplesfan2010 says:

This guy Clyde Christensen has got some “wow” stats to his resume: coached up Manning, Luck, and Hasselbeck. Sent Harrison and Wayne to multiple pro bowls, developed Austin Collie from nothing, even had a great rushing attack while Painter and Orlovsky had career yrs bumbling around in the suck for luck yr. He survived all those head coaching changes at Indy due to his high quality work and lovable personality.

  45. getterdone says:

Matt Vensel of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune predicts Mike Wallace won’t be back with the Vikings next season.
It’s a no-brainer. Wallace isn’t worth his $11.45 million salary and it’s unlikely he’d take a pay cut to stay with Minnesota. The Vikings are thin at wide receiver but Wallace isn’t the solution. He hauled in just 39 catches for 473 yards and two touchdowns this season. Those were all career lows for the 29 year old receiver.

  46. The Flying Pig says:

    Naples

I am excited about our hires too
But I’m a bit hesitant to give credit to anyone for coaching up Manning or Luck
Those 2 are some of the best college prospects at qb to come out in the NFL over the last 25 years

A coach can only mess those guys up

I’m taking a wait and see to this entire group of hires

I really hope the FO knows what they are doing
I doubt any of these guys were sought after by other teams
But that doesn’t mean they should not have been

I’m not upset about the hires

But I simply didn’t know much about any of these guys before we hired them

    • steveccnv says:

You hope the FO knows what they’re doing? When was the last time our FO knew what they were doing? What has changed now to think things might be different?

  47. Mike E. says:

Man, that virus really kicked my ass. I lost 9 LBS in 1 evening and one full day. That’s crazy. That was a bad one. I hope no one in my family catches that.

  48. Mike E. says:

Carson Palmer played so bad last night, the Cardinals totally won the game in spite of him, rather than because of him. He was choking the whole game.

    • getterdone says:

No wonder he hasn’t won a playoff game before last nite. Threw some WTF passes that more of should have been picked.

      • steveccnv says:

Didn’t you see his finger? It’s really hard to throw a high percent of good passes with that bent thing.

    • getterdone says:

But with an alpha receiver like Fitzgerald, you can still get scores when needed.
We might have a budding alpha in Parker hopefully. A go to guy like that for Tanny will only make Landry more dangerous. Can’t double them both.
Gase should have a lot of ways to go with our offensive weapons.
Now just protect & give the QB time! 😉

  49. Mike E. says:

    GDP

It’s so crazy what can happen in 1 game. David Johnson was like all-world towards the end of the season couldn’t do anything, and Palmer was just completely off of his game. I know it’s 1 play, but how did Patrick Peterson allow Janis to make that catch in the end zone? Crazy shit happens sometimes.

    • getterdone says:

The big long bomb caught by Cobb where he got hurt was awesome too, but it was called back.
Lots of ticky tack flags by the refs it seemed.

  50. Tim Knight says:

Wow that was a crazy finish in the Cards/Packers game.

Clyde Christensen looks like a good hiring. He has a lot of experience working with some great QBs and offenses.

Piggy, why do you say I doubt any of these guys were sought after by other teams? The Broncos wanted to hire Joseph as their DC last year but the Bengals blocked it, and Christensen has been an OC before. The other coaches held jobs at the same positions with other teams.

    • steveccnv says:

I see Gase as very intriguing, but the rest are meh.

      • Tim Knight says:

Christensen isn’t meh and all the other guys have a lot of experience. VJ has paid his dues as a DBs coach for 11 years so at some point a guy has to get a chance to be a DC for the first time. Who knows he might be really good.

I wonder who the asst. HC will be?

  51. Tim Knight says:

Mike E, those violent bugs are the worst. Hope you’re feeling better.

    • Mike E. says:

Thanks. I’m feeling better now, just a little weak. I need to start eating again, and getting my strength back.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yeah I hear ya. I always found eating light a few times is better than a big meal.

      • Mike E. says:

No doubt. Last night I had a cup of tea and 1 piece of toast with jelly. Today I’ll try and eat a bit more, but definitely not eating any big meals.

  52. getterdone says:

Steve, yeah I knew of the dislocated finger on Palmer but that happened a few weeks ago. Carson said this past week that it was no longer an issue….but maybe it was.
He;s been known in the past to have these WTF games, especially in big games. Is why Cincy moved on from him, and likely will do same with Dalton in a year or two.

    • steveccnv says:

He can say what he wants about the finger, and a lot of athletes do the same thing, but there’s no way he’s 100% with that nasty finger.

  53. steveccnv says:

Packers are all upset over Fitzgerald’s catch that was reviewed and not over turned. I don’t see what the big deal is, Palmer threw an int in the endzone on the drive, so no pts. Packers are saying they lost a TO, but they scored to tie the game anyways on the final drive. It seems that teams that are used to getting every call, like the Packers, act like spoiled brats when they don’t.

  54. getterdone says:

    The Blue Mare @TheBlueMare
Clyde Christensen, who Chuck Pagano called “the best quarterbacks coach in the history of the NFL” is going to the Dolphins as OC.

  55. getterdone says:

Look for that over time rule to change again to add where each team gets a possession, even if the team that won the toss scores a TD on their first drive.
You either match it on following drive or go home.

  56. Tim Knight says:

Mike E, funny you said tea and toast with jelly. I was going to say tea and an English muffin with some butter and jelly. LOL

  57. getterdone says:

Tim, yes, I’m sure Clyde was hired to be as much as QB coach as he is a OC in name only.

    • Tim Knight says:

Yeah that’s what I was thinking.

From that article above I really like the approach Gase takes on offense. Build it around the players you have, don’t force them into some offensive system. I really hope we see us using a moving pocket and not having RT in a stationary pocket all the time. He has wheels, use them and don’t allow defenders the chance to pin their ears back at a stationary target all day. Not saying never be in a pocket, but there are ways to move it with bootlegs, roll-outs and waggles.

I was also thinking about our lack of commitment to running the ball. We averaged 21.5 rushes per game but some of those were RT running and Landry on gimmick plays which I do like. But some runs were just bad play calls at the wrong time as well. So when you break it down, we only really committed to a conventional running game 15-17 times per game and that’s not good enough. We need to get that number up to about 25, then add RT and Landry or another WR end around or something to get us in that 30 range. It’s really not that complex. LOL

  58. Tim Knight says:

Everyone went away. Oh right the game is on. LOL

  59. finfanrob says:

    mike

sorry you were sick but come on. what self respecting man that makes his own sauce eats at olive garden. it would be like a fisherman eating at red lobster.

  60. Tim Knight says:

Carolina is a really good team. It’s not just about Cam.

  61. The Flying Pig says:

    Remember preseason
(Piggy holds a lighter above his head)

  62. Tim Knight says:

Bookman, the running game was one paragraph. The other was about a moving pocket. I thought I was keeping it brief. D’s post would have been longer paragraphs and 4-5 more of them. LOL

  63. Rockphin says:

So i see we have hired a new offensive coordinator. He appears to have a lot of experience and come from a winning organisation I approve

I’m very intrigued to find out what type of offense the Dolphan run this season

Which offensive system will it stem from? who’s terminology will they use? What schemes will it employ? The head coach who will be calling the plays comes from a different system than the offensive coordinator. They call plays different things most likely I would imagine that either were allowed to keep their previous play books so they will have to build new ones from scratch. I hope it does not take the players a long time to learn the new plays and schemes and terminology

    • Tim Knight says:

They both ran a lot of the same stuff. Gase said his offense borrows from a lot of systems and employs different play designs based on opponents and the best way to win the game. So the offense could look different week to week.

The SF WCO and Mike Martz’s vertical passing game (Air Coryell) are elements of this offense. He’s also developed some of his own play designs. He said the offense will be built around what the players do well, not force a system on them.

The Pats borrow from multiple offensive systems. They sometimes look like they’re running 3 different offenses. They change it based on personnel and matchups. Gase said he got that approach from Josh McDaniels. I think that’s where we’re headed. In one game multiple TEs might be a bread and butter. In another more spread stuff. One week we might run it 35 and only pass 28. Another week we throw it 45 times and rush 22. That’s what it sounds like to me.

  64. Mike E. says:

Loving the Panthers destroying the Seahawks. Besides the Patriots, I think I hate the Seahawks just a bit behind them. The Panthers are really taking it to them, in every facet of the game.

    • Tim Knight says:

Carolina is having one of those seasons where a team puts it all together. They play great complimentary football. They don’t put it on one side of the ball or the other. Really good team.

  65. herdfan says:

I think my new game watching drinking game is to take a drink whenever I see a former Dolphin player make a big play. Probably don’t have enough liquor on hand to start today.

  66. getterdone says:

Phins should’ve drafted Russell Wilson. 😉

  67. New Age says:

I am loving this game. Carolina is so good this year. 15-1 and they have been slighted most of the year. Hopefully, this display gives them the props they deserve. They just have to keep piling on.

    • Tim Knight says:

I listened to that. Good off the cuff stuff, not produced. Mooch also thinks Tannehill is going to be a good one. He doesn’t look at his 4 seasons as a finale like so many other pundits seem to be on board with. He knows QBs.

  68. getterdone says:

Greg Olsen is a stud. I’ve watched a lot of Carolina games this season & that guy has caught the most difficult catches, grab after grab. He’s so clutch and helps make Cam look good….and yes, Cam is good, no doubt!

  69. Mike E. says:

If anything is clear to me watching this game, is the fact that in order to be a physical team, you have to run the ball, and be committed to running the ball. It can’t just be for show, you have to have a run game that can win the game for you. We used it more as a diversion, rather than a means to win a game. I hope that changes with Gase

Newage, I love how much the announcers are giving props to Mike Shula, who really deserves it.

As you know, I’ve championed him being hired as the Phins HC for the past few years. It’s a shame we didn’t wait to interview him. But I’ll still support Gase.

Hopefully Gase can become as good as the younger Shula has.

  73. Tim Knight says:

Carolina took the game out of Lynch’s hands. It’s all on Wilson now.

  74. finfanrob says:

    tim

i by loving it you mean more proof that a qb cant carry the entire team then yeah. i dont have any like or dislike of wilson, i just find it funny how people want to give him all the credit for getting Seattle to two sbs when they have a great rushing attack and an even better defense

  75. getterdone says:

Mike Shula is doing this against the league’s top defense, especially against the run.
He did it in Seattle and now in the revenge game for the Seahawks, he’s doing it again.

8 of the Panthers 16 games this year they have scored over 33 points. Manny times 38, 41, & 44 pts. WOW.

  76. finfanrob says:

    mike

it is my nieces favorite place. i simple told her, you want your birthday party/dinner there then have fun i will be at home.

i have no idea why anyone likes that place

  77. getterdone says:

Tim, not saying Gase hasn’t impressed anyone. I’m impressed by him. But IMO he’s not to Mike Shula’s level yet.
Yes he got a HC job now & he’ll be calling his own plays. So we’ll see how that translates.

  78. Mike E. says:

Watching Wilson struggle with having no time and someone his face constantly has to make you think how hard it’s been for Tannehill the last couple of years. Not getting into the whole Tannehill debate right now, but it’s not easy to play at high level when your O-line can’t give you any time.

  79. New Age says:

    Getter,

I really like Shula. I think he’s the hot prospect next year and should get a job somewhere, Same with McDanilels. Those guys have done too well not to get a chance(or another).

  80. Mike E. says:

    Son

That Carolina team has a lot of talent man. Cam is great, but he’s one of many great players they have on that team. Keuchly is a phenomenal player, and in this game, it seems the whole team is playing at a very high level.

  81. Mike E. says:

I’m thinking about changing my avi to Gase looking straight ahead. It will be obvious that it’s not GDP or New Age, because my avi will be looking straight on. lol

  82. New Age says:

    Mike and FFR,

One of the closet ones to me had a Hep A outbreak maybe a decade ago? Either way, I haven’t eaten there in 12 years and dont plan on going back. Sub-par food and I always hear about sickness and stomach issues from people that still eat there.

  83. finfanrob says:

you guys mean the same mike shula the bucs fired as offensive coordinator cause they couldnt score more then 2 points a game. amazing how a coach learns how to coach when they have talented players and how they forget how to coach when they dont

    • getterdone says:

I knew someone would bring this up about coaches who’ve been in different venues.
But truth is, it’s not just the coach or just the personnel.
I’s a thinly balanced line of both coming together in harmony. It really is. I’ve seen it for decades now.

      • Tim Knight says:

Exactly! But it’s never all about the coordinators good or bad either. It’s team coming together and playing complimentary football.

  84. finfanrob says:

i could understand if the fins didnt want to hire mike shula. there would be unbelievable pressure on shula. and then if he isnt successful a lot for the fins organization to have to deal with.

  85. getterdone says:

Shula even has Ted Ginn looking like a star….lol.
Well Cam, Olsen & that running game helps too. 😉

  86. Tim Knight says:

FFR, we look at football teams the same way. Everyone calls it the ultimate team game then gives all the credit and blame to the QB. We all know the QB is the most important position, but look at how many things have to go right to be an effective passer.

  87. finfanrob says:

    getter

i pretty much said that. that it helps to have talent. it makes the coach look better

  88. New Age says:

I also think it’s better Shula didn’t get the job. The expectations would be unrealistic. I think he is a good coach and has probably learned a lot since going to Carolina. He will get his shot. Long time until the draft so not much will be happening for a while. Hoping Denver crushes the Pats next week is about all Im looking forward to right now.

  89. son of a son of a shula says:

I saw Carolina’s inactive sand didn’t recognize a single name. The bottom halves of rosters across the league are all so similar. It’s about making plays.

Olsen is an excellent player. I don’t remember what CHI got in return for Olsen, do you? Was he a FA?

Well, it sorta does. We’ve seen very good play calling say in CarolinaArizona & we’ve seen HORRIBLE play calling / systems in Miami/Cleveland. 😉

  95. getterdone says:

Well at least the Phins hired Gase & not Doug F’kn Pederson …LOL

  96. son of a son of a shula says:

Tannehill needs to run for first downs like Wilson and Alex Smith do. He should always be among the leading QB rushers.

  97. son of a son of a shula says:

Oh crap Seattle flicked the on switch

  98. Randy says:

    son,
Tannehill needs to make big time throws against the blitz like Wilson just did.

    • son of a son of a shula says:

You can’t even say that around here it’s the scheme ya big dummy (even though we look pretty much like every other team)

    • Tim Knight says:

      And he never has?

Ya know it’s funny, no matter how you break it down, RT did a much better job getting the ball in his receivers hands for chunk yards. Parker 19.0 YPCA, Stills 16.3 and Matthews 15.4. Those are good numbers. Landry only 10.5 but he catches a lot of short stuff.

      20+ yard catches – Landry 10 on 110 receps, Matthews 10 on 43, Stills 10 on 27 and Parker 9 on 26.

I think we’ll see that continue under Gase.
