Is it possible that our greatest need going into the draft is RB? I guess that would depend on who you talk to, but even if it’s not the most glaring need, if we intend on running the ball considerably more than we did last season, we’re going to need an infusion of talent and numbers in our RB stable.

Jay Ajayi RB 6’0″ 221
As it stands now, the feature back would be 2nd year RB Jay Ajayi. Ajayi, who played his college ball at Boise St., was considered by many to be a 2nd RD talent. Medical news day of the draft circulated like wildfire and the red flags went up immediately. Apparently, the news was Ajayi had so little cartilage remaining in his knee that he was basically almost bone on bone, at which point it becomes so painful, it’s career ending. Ajayi tore his ACL in 2011, his redshirt season at Boise St. In 2012, Ajay came back slowly from his injury, garnering only 82 carries for 548 yards, 6.7 YPC and 4 TD’s. in 2013, Ajayi figured more prominently, getting 249 carries for 1425 yards, 18 TD’s, along with 22 receptions for 222 yards and 1 TD. Obviously, Ajayi was back and healthy. 2013 cemented that Ajayi was not only back, but he could be a workhorse back. Ajayi carried the ball an astounding 347 times for 1823 yards, and an unbelievable 28 rushing TD’s. He also caught 50 passes for 535 yards and 4 TD’s. OK, so just how much was Ajayi the Boise St. offense??? 2378 total yards, and 32 TD’s! Incredible!
Ajayi performed well at the NFL combine. While not a speedster, he ran 4.57, but as important for a RB, is that quick burst. Ajayi ran 4,10 20 YD shuttle (top performer), a 39 ” vertical (tp), 121 broad jump (tp), and 11.60 60 YD shuttle (tp). OK, so Ajayi is an athlete, a former soccer player with very good feet, and we can see from the drills, lots of explosion.
Who can we draft to be part of an effective rushing attack in 2016? Let’s take a look!
______________________________________________________________

Ezekiel “Zeke” Elliott RB Ohio St. 6’0″ 225
The clear cut best RB available in this draft will most likely not be available to the Dolphins if we stay at #13, but if somehow Ezekiel “Zeke” Elliott makes it to our pick at #13, it will give the Dolphins a very difficult choice. Elliott has been compared to former Colts and Cards RB Edgerrin James. Elliott was a great back for Ohio St., a true 3 down RB. Elliott topped 1800 yards in both his sophomore and junior seasons, 1878 and 1821 respectively. Elliott averaged 6.9 YPC his sophomore year and 6.3 YPC in his junior, along with scoring 18 TD’s and 23 TD’s respectively. He’s the real deal, and while he may not be a prospect of Adrien Peterson’s ilk, he is a great prospect, quite worthy of an early first pick. In 592 carries, Zeke has a fumble rate of 162.5, which means he fumbles once per 162.5 carries, very solid. Fumbling is clearly not an issue. Again, odds are, Zeke is gone by pick #13, so although he would be a great addition to our rushing attack, let’s look at some RB’s who have a better chance of being available to us after our 1st pick.
__________________________________________________________________

Derrick Henry RB Alabama 6’2″ 247
Derrick Henry is the big boy of the group, at 6’2″ 247, Henry is reminiscent of former NY Giants RB Brandon Jacobs. Not quite as big as Jacobs who was 6’4″ 264, he’s certainly big enough. A physical RB who is fast for his size, Henry ran a 4.54 40, along with a 37″ vertical, and 11.50 60 yard shuttle, which shows he’s athletic for his size. One of the negatives with Henry is he tends to run more upright, partly due to his size, and that opens him up for more hits and punishment from defenders, despite the fact that Henry delivers his fair share of punishment too. If we’re looking to really become a run heavy team, or at least closer to a 50/50 ratio of run to pass, we could do worse having a tandem of Ajayi and Henry. We could then pick up a change of pace back later on, one that’s faster and smaller, as we don’t have that type of back at the moment. Henry rushed for 2219 yards on 395 carries last season (junior year) for 5.6 YPC average along with a college football leading 28 TD’s. Henry doesn’t offer much as a receiver, logging only 17 total receptions in 3 years at Alabama. He is, however, a workhorse who finds his way into the endzone, and lord knows, the Dolphins could stand to score more of those.
__________________________________________________________________

Keith Marshall RB Georgia 5’11” 219
Keith Marshall is about the same size as former Dolphins RB Lamar Miller. He’s actually a bit faster too, running the 40 at a blazing 4.31, and may be an intriguing choice for the Dolphins later in the draft. Marshall chose to play all 4 years at Georgia. In his sophomore year, Marshall suffered a torn right ACL. Due to that injury, Marshall has a very small body of work, only 253 total carries, 117 of which were in his freshman year. Marshall appears to be very healthy, and could be a steal in mid to later RD’s. Marshall also has good ball security, so he has low mileage, speed and agility, and holds on to the football. He could be that change of pace type back for us initially.
___________________________________________________________________

Kenyan Drake RB Alabama 6’1″ 210
Kenyan Drake is Derrick Henry’s RB mate at Alabama. Drake was the change of pace for the workhorse Henry. Drake had a total of 233 carries in 4 years at Alabama for 1495 yards, for a nice 6.4 YPC. Drake finished with a total of 18 TD rushing TD’s in his college career, but understandably a low figure, considering he took the backseat to Henry who scored 28 TD’s in his senior year. He’s a potential mid to late RD pick for Miami.
________________________________________________________________
There are quite a few other prospects that the Dolphins will be looking at, especially if we don’t pick up a solid veteran RB to compliment what we already have. Last week we picked up two former 2nd RD picks, Isaiah Pead from the Rams and former Dolphins 2nd RD pick, yes, the infamous “DT 3”, Daniel Thomas, who rejoins the team. Can either of those 2 recapture what made them 2nd RD prospects in the first place? Not likely, but I think there is a chance Daniel Thomas can stick on the roster, because one thing Thomas excels at is pass protection as a RB.
Piggy/Wedge have already gone into depth with many of the RB’s, and will likely continue to do so, so I won’t tread on “their” territory, and leave that to them. If there are RB’s that you think we should be interested, bring them up on the blog and we’ll discuss them!

Tim
I had no idea what your avi was until just now. LMAO!!!! LHM! That’s great!
I was thinking it was something I didn’t recognize from Monty Python. lol
I was waiting for someone to ask. I did that when Piggy put Kiper’s hair on a pig. It’s draft time baby! LOL
Piggy
I know we have quantity at DE, but do we have quality? I’m not saying it has to be the pick, but I would have no problem with them taking a young stud at DE. We could very well need one as early as next year. We have two aging starters and then a bunch of backups.
we are kind of hanging on the edge of not having any DEs
and it might turn out to be a real weakness if Williams and Wake don’t play at high levels
so a DE may make sense
but what about CB?
RB?
LB?
OL?
there are other areas that seem to be a more pressing need to me
I really like the idea of the draft moving like this
1st round : OL or CB
2nd round: CB or OL
3rd round: RB or LB
4th round: LB or RB
that changes if there is a DE or a Safety that we just can’t pass on
I won’t shed a tear if we take a DE like Lawson in the 1st round
But I think that is a pick for 2016 not for 2017
So they really have to believe he is special
I’m not worried about Williams. He’s back in his tailor made system and still has game. He even looked good in coverage in BUF. That’s just not what he should be doing. He’s 6-6 290, he’s an edge DE and a dominant one.
Wake I am concerned about. An Achilles injury at 34 is usually not good but he didn’t rupture it, he had a tear. Wake is a freak though, we’ll see.
From there we need to hope one or two step up or we draft a DE. I like our DTs with Suh, Mitchell, Phillips and maybe we find a solid #4.
Joshua Perry – how do we draft thee
DE is a HUGE need for us. Fede Faded.
2015 is a distant memory now
You might say the play of our DEs has faded away
Didn’t we pick up 3 or 4 DB’s already?
Where’s the beef?
Ifo and Maxwell and a Safety from Detroit
We picked up Branch and Willaims
And they replace OV and Shelby
I personally think that’s an upgrade
we kept Wake
we have Moore under contract (who I like)
We still have Jordan for 2016 (Piggy ducks)
So there is good depth there
its kinda a risky group to start a season with
but I think it has a chance
This was based off my BPA but it was usually 1-3 or top 10 available. I did not go need other than it made sense.
13: R1P13 RB EZEKIEL ELLIOTT OHIO STATE
42: R2P11 QB PAXTON LYNCH MEMPHIS
73: R3P10 OLB SU’A CRAVENS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
107: R4P9 ILB TYLER MATAKEVICH TEMPLE
147: R5P8 CB ERIC MURRAY MINNESOTA
186: R6P11 RB KEITH MARSHALL GEORGIA
227: R7P6 CB KEIVARAE RUSSELL NOTRE DAME
231: R7P10 S KEANU NEAL FLORIDA
Your best draft yet..
^^^
Wants to trade Tannehill
Notice no OL. They were never available based on the board 10 deep.
Piggy,
Yep! We could go many different ways. As I said, i don’t think we HAVE to pick DE at #13…just saying I think it is a viable option. I’m kind of leaning CB myself, but it’s not a must in my mind. BPA would be fine with me…just get a good player.
Its definitely viable
I actually have DE as 5th in terms of priorities though
that doesn’t mean it can’t be our first round pick
I guess we have to let the board do the talking
and hopefully the powers that be – make the right decision
If at the end of the day – the player is a good player, I don’t care about much else
The only reason I don’t mention Denzel Perryman everyday on this blog is bc I like Jordan Phillips so much
It should be close to when Jordan can be reinstated isn’t it?
I didn’t know he had to apply
I just thought he had to sit out a year
I think the reinstatement date is 4/11 or 4/12….I think that’s what has been said.
It’s up to the commish and he could not address it until after the draft which I think is bogus.
Interesting how this fell:
ELLIOTT
OHIO STATE
42: R2P11
G JOSHUA GARNETT
STANFORD
73: R3P10
CB KENDALL FULLER
VIRGINIA TECH
107: R4P9
OLB JORDAN JENKINS
GEORGIA
147: R5P8
DE CARL NASSIB
PENN STATE
186: R6P11
ILB BENIQUEZ BROWN
MISS. STATE
227: R7P6
S DEON BUSH
MIAMI (FLA.)
231: R7P10
G DENVER KIRKLAND
I like this one
But “interesting” is a nice way to put the fantasy of drafting Nassib in the 5th and Bush and Kirkland in the 7th
I think even Kendell Fuller in the 3rd is unlikely
but then again Garnett might be a 3rd rounder
So those two can flip and it makes sense
This was based off Matt Millers board which was just updated today. With that said, who knows. I know as of now Miami has had a few meetings w/ Kirkland so he might be viewed in higher regard and the same with Bush who they have intimate knowledge of. I agree w/ you that Nassib in round 5 is crazy. I have him as a high RD2 guy w/ possible late 1 potential.
if they reinstate Jordan
do they remove the fuck from his face?
I think that also remains up to the commissioner
In that case

I expect the face to remain the same in 2016
fahaget
He needs to do that by having a good camp and sacking the fucking QB early on.
Alonso who is friends with Jordan since back at Oregon says Jordan will play with a chip on his shoulder but I’m not sure what that means? Was he wronged or did he do it to himself?
Chip is the name of the guy in that spandex video you keep posting
So Jordan will actually play with a flamboyant man in spandex doing aerobics in the 80s on his shoulder
it will be awkward – but it may help distract Brady long enough to slow down his release
I don’t have a problem with Elliot at 13 but not if we aren’t going to use him, if you get him you have to feed him the ball.
I find it funny how uncomfortable the spandex dancers make you guys feel. LOL
It makes me want to shock you more. 😉
when you factor in that this group has sat through stories of Colonpokey relationships with Richard Gere and Marc Sanchez
its even odder that everyone is uncomfortable with the spandex video
Exactly!!! FFR’s break a pickle jar in the ass video is still the most disturbing for me but I can handle it. LOL

I like Lawson
but everytime I select a DE in a mock
I have a hard time addressing other needs
And I personally think Williams + Wake as bookend DEs might work out nicely
we have a lot of depth at DE
______________________________
We have to look at Wake & Mario’s age factor. So if a DE that you have highly rated is there on your board in the 1st or 2nd, then I think you got to make the pick. it’s a premium position.
Yes we have a lot of bodies in camp, but not sure if that’s gonna constitute quality depth.
Agreed and the NFL covets those guys a lot more than we tend to.
its tough for me to accept making a move in the first round
for something that may be necessary to address in 2017
Psst, we’ll be looking for a qb
lol
I forgot about that
Bills LB A.J. Tarpley announced his retirement from the NFL.
Tarpley, 23, retired specifically due to concussions, as he explained on Instagram. “I suffered the 3rd and 4th concussions of my career this past season and I am walking away from the game I love to preserve my future health,” he wrote. “This decision is the hardest I’ve made yet but after much research and contemplation I believe it’s what is best for me going forward.” Tarpley earned playing time in 14 games as an undrafted rookie last season, and had a legitimate chance at significant snaps in a weak Bills linebacker corps.

Ya think the Jills will draft Ragland, Perry, or maybe Lee? I do.
Williams just turned 31, stop with his age. Geez guys he’s not crippled. LOL
2 years ago in a hand in the ground system.
I didn’t say he’s too old. But Wake is right about there especially coming off an achilles tear. If Wake can’t go, or is situational, or Mario gets dinged up, then what quality of DE do you have to to put in the game or rotate in?
I was just talking about Williams here.
From the other blog.

M13, stacked on the DL? No! Do we have some talent and depth at both DT and DE yes, but still a lot of questions.
DE Wake (Achilles), M. Williams, Branch, Fede, Moore, C. McCain, Laing, Warmsley, J. Williams, Jordan (Suspension)
10
DT Suh, Mitchell, Phillips, Coleman, Thomas II, Tuaau
6
My view for Bullard would be in a 7 man rotation:
DE Wake, Williams, Branch/Another guy
DT Suh, Mitchell, Phillips
DL Bullard
We’re going to blitz LBs and DBs at times too. I think this would be a bullish DL and then you throw in some blitzes with speed and it could be tough for offenses to deal with.
Vance knows his defense will work best by getting after the passer & shutting down the boundaries with tough corner play.
Tim,
I like Wiliams too, but he is going into his 12th season, isn’t he? He’s gonna start dropping off soon, and some think he already started the slide last year…despite the misuse of his skills in buffalo. It’s very possible we’re seeing the beginning of the slide…not saying that’s a for sure thing, but it’s certainly possible given it’s his 12th season.
I still see plenty of ability in him. 31 is a RB age, not a DE. Mario is an elite specimen. As much as I like OV we’re talking a different class here.
Gentleman’s bet: I say Mario is a 12-15 sack guy this year. Wake had 15 his career highest in 2012 at 30/31. Just saying. 😉
Everyone thinks we signed this Mario Williams, who played for the Buffalo RoughIndexFingers instead of the former Bill
I’ll be damned
This Mario lead the league in clothesline tackles and wedgie sacks which were conveyed stats in the 1920s
It would have been a good signing
But our Mario Williams is a little younger
TFY Draft Insider’s Tony Pauline reports that the Chicago Bears “really like” Utah State LB Nick Vigil.
In addition, the analyst reports that the prospect has “spent a lot of time” with the Bears and Chicago coach Glenn Pires is putting Vigil through drills at Wednesday’s Pro Day. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Vigil logged 282 tackles over the last two seasons.
__________________________
I wouldn’t mind him coming to Miami with his brother. The Vigilante Brothers 🙂
I looked. It’s his 11th season. Lots of mileage on the body. It’s not his age but the wear and tear of 10 seasons in the NFL.
Or he’s still in great shape and can still play. LOL
I am not too pleased with a lot of our additions this off season. I can’t pronounce their names!
Makes it harder for you to yell at them from the stands
Isn’t Tim’s avi “little head” Todd Mcshay?
Yes!!! LOL
Tim,
It’s not so much this season I worry about Mario. I could see him getting 12 sacks this year but what about the year after that..and the next? I think having a young starter caliber DE ready to come in is a sound strategy.
2 year deal. Haven’t I told you we’re on a 2 year window? I’m not against adding talent on the DL I just said that. LOL
We got a steal with Mario Williams on a 2 year deal at possibly $20M. It’s go time. You don’t add him at that rate along with Suh, Tannehill, Poumcey, Albert and Maxwell looking to meddle about for a few years. Gase was hired to energize and get this team going. We’ll see.
I tend to agree that DE is a need. It takes a couple of years for most DE’s to mature into very good / great players and having your starters mostly in their 30’s without good players being developed behind them is a recipe for Gase to be fired in 2 years.
that being said, I think we do have talent at the position and predict more sacks this year from the DL than we had last year. (and less roughing the passer penalties)
Ross gave him a 5 year contract just to piss OD off. 🙂
so, he gave Philben an extension before firing him early this season. Ross doesn’t mind paying the price of being an owner. He has paid MULTIPLE MILLIONS for his mistakes in the coaching and GM positions.
I wish he’d pay me a tenth of what they’re making. I’d still work my ass off in the personnel dept….or I could be a live tackling dummy…lol
DE Wake, Williams, Branch/Another guy
DT Suh, Mitchell, Phillips
DL Bullard
Or something like that – this DL can be trouble for opposing offenses. Oh did we forget the aging Williams (31), lol… and the nobody Suh (29)? 😉
This team is built to win now. Yes, this might be fact. LOL
As old as a few of those guys are, the rest of the team is very young. So it’s a mixture.
All I’, saying is nothing wrong with adding a DE early on if he’s rated high on your board. Same with OT or OG & we have a lot of bodies there now to.

you mean you don’t get paid to carry Tannehill’s jock?
No, I wish, but unfortunately it’s covering your eyes, so all you see is bad things…lol
I am very concerned about our secondary. We are worse than paper thin. Even if we draft a stud in the secondary he will still be a rookie and I a not confident in the guys we have in “development”. Taylor was a disappointment. Lippet, McCane & Aikens are unproven and have not shown enough to five me any confidence they can play at a level for us to win games. Though Lippet’s play made me feel a little hope.
Did you see my BPA draft? 3 DBs last 4 picks.

I wish he would pay me one tenth of what he paid out for coaching staffs he fired AFTER he fired them. He has been on the hook for a lot of coaches salaries after he let them go.
It’s good work if you can get it…lol
I HOPE Deon FF is reinstated and plays well for us and for years to come.
I HOPE Vigil, Hewett and Jenkins continue to develop into quality starter type players. (each have flashed)
I HOPE Phillips becomes a STUD DT that plays consistently well.
I HOPE Albert, James & Pouncey stay healthy all year.
I HOPE Turner or Douglas or both develop into solid / good linemen and that we get GOOD depth behind / in front of them.
I HOPE Ajayi plays like he did before he was drafted and can stay healthy all year.
I HOPE that Gase can pull this team together and avoid major mistakes as a rookie HC.
I HOPE that the team can finally stop embarrassing me every year when I predict 10 wins again…..
Oh, by the way. My Pre-draft prediction of wins / losses this year is …….10-6 LOL
HOMERAIDE GET YOUR ICED COLD HOMERAID HEEEAAAARRRRAAAHHH!!!
I HOPE Parker stays healthy all year & makes the pro bowl.
I HOPE Tanny forms a bond with Gase & reaches another milestone in his career so I can keep carrying his jock unless Son is still running around with it on his head.
I HOPE we don’t see much of Darr but a lot of Franks on PAT’s.

Love River Monsters…makes you think twice about any body of water😂
———————————
Pretty good show i agree, have you seen any of the special they had been running recently a subset they were calling ocean monsters?
Also FTWD i think will follow similar pattern to TWD, where the first season was more setup of characters and they get richer as they go. First season on TWD had me hooked but not really solidly, they started strong, had some really slow middle episodes and then came back strong, mostly because Kirkman had left the project for a few episodes before being brought back. FTWD started more crazy, a lot more action and intensity than first season of TWD, so im pretty excited by the prospects of it and i think a few of the characters are already showing a ton of range to them so it will be interesting what they do with those characters.
Yeah, I think the River monsters Icean episodes start tonight at 9pm.
I think I eventually saw all of them. I haven’t seen anything about ocean monsters.
Starts tonight

Mike, I’m not a big fan of the unions. But overall, I don’t think American workers are overpaid. You have to factor in the cost of living here, INFLATION, & taxation in its many many forms that eat away at your paychecks.
River Monsters is cool, amazing all the different creatures that are out there that most of us will never see in our lifetime.
The goonch catfish scares the shit out of me along with those little ones that spin into your flesh!
Not sure if I saw that one, but I could do without some fish freaking spinning into my flesh. Damn!
GDP
It’s not that ‘murican workers are overpaid, it’s that when you have a union, as you know, you can’t pay less than the decided pay scale. That’s the big problem.
It’s the old debate, wages vs. the cost of products for the consumer.
The way America does business needs a serious overhaul to keep jobs here, to balance trade, & increase our GDP. So far, I only see a guy like Trump addressing that. The rest just want to go bomb somebody to keep feeding their handlers of the MIC.
GDP
I’m not a fan of any organization that would tell me you have to pay worker “A” $60 minimum per hour, regardless of how good that worker is, because he belongs to our union. That’s garbage! Look at the teachers in NYC, they get tenure, they can mail it in, and be lazy as fuck, but you can’t fire them, and they start making pretty good cash with excellent pension benefits.
agreed, that needs to be changed, cleaned up. But also we have to stop the incentive of businesses moving out of the country and perpetuating child & slave labor so Americans can buy useless shit at discount stores while those businesses that left pay their executives insane salaries & bonuses. It’s destroying the middle class.
No question about it, but unions don’t fit into that equation. They really are a problem. I have to work hard to keep my job, because eventually, I may price myself out of it with cost of living increases and such. I can’t just be lazy and say I’ve been here for 14 years, you can’t fire me, because they can. That’s how it should be. You get paid what your value is. Just like the NFL.
Trump has some decent ideas, but he behaves like a college kid on spring break. His campaign manager should have been fired a long time ago, because he should have insisted that the orange man keep himself in check, and not act like a buffoon. He’s the most un-presidential candidate I’ve ever seen. Never mind what he believes or stands for, just observing his behavior makes me not want to vote for him.
Right, he is arrogant, braggadocious, hardball, etc. But I’m for any guy that has turned the fleecing establishment system on its ear.
BTW, are you just going by seeing Trump in his debates? I’ve watched a few of his full rallies, about 1 1/2 hours at different venues, and he is more calm, more eloquent, more sincere about issues, more compassionate about the american people etc.
C’mon man, what’s the difference? If anything, it should be the opposite. I’m not talking about being phony either, I’m just talking about behaving like a responsible human being who is running for the most important office in the world. Dig?
Phony? You want phony, then look no further than Cruz, whom I used to like, but he’s gone to bed with more than prostitutes, he’s now in bed with the the very establishment that he used to rail against. He’s a freaking snake & a huge liar desperate for any big title. He’ll beg to be the appointed supreme court justice if he loses out as the nominee, you wait and see.
Rubio was a insider puppet too, and dare I even mention the other side of the aisle with Biliary & Socialism Sanders….smh
He’s known to bang prostitutes?
Mike, it’s even worse with the fish that spins into the flesh, in that episode it was about a fish that swims up the urine stream and into the penis. Ugh!

I said NOT phony. I can’t stomach Cruz, and frankly, I can’t stand Trump either. At this point, I’d prefer Kasich, I think he’s the best man there.
Oh, I forgot to mention him. He’s a democrat running as a Dem.
Kasich is the best candidate. But does he have enough cool for America?
He’s not the best candidate. He was behind Common Core, TPP, very soft on illegal immigration, goes against his constituents on Obamacare & gun control, is all about more wars, thinks big government is the solution to everything, Hell No!

GD, I disagree on Kasich. He’s a Reaganite.
Ooook….
Tim, BTW, Kasich has received funding from good old Soros. That should be enough to make you puke and turn your nose up at him.
Politics is a dirty business. You’re not going to find a clean politician. I like that Kasich isn’t simply a party plank whore, he actually looks at issues on a case to case basis.
LOL, how can you say that. Soros is a puppet master…see Obama.

Ugh! This article will make you queasy with all the failed #1 picks Miami has had. No wonder we’ve been unable to get over the hump of 8-8.
I hope Tbomb & Co. get this one right!

Oh, my bad. How bout some Trump Ale? 🙂
I thought the Trump Ale company went belly up along with Trump University. lol
LOL, could be. Seems he’s better with construction than just licensing his name to other ventures.
Newly-signed Patriots NT Terrance Knighton has weight-based incentives in his contract.
Knighton says he has already lost weight this offseason, and he will keep it off if that is what his new coaching staff wants. “I’m in a lot better shape than I was last year. Contractually, I’ll have weights that I need to hit,” Knighton said. “Whatever the coaches want me to play at, that’s what I’ll be.” With Knighton joining Dominique Easley, Malcom Brown and Alan Branch, the Patriots should have one of the better interior line rotations in football.

Pouncey will have his work cut out for him, & we got to hope Bushrod can be effective @ OG, plus might want to draft a OG early as well, unless they see Turner/Douglas as making a jump in their 2nd year.
The entire division is stacked with interior DL.
Yeah, Jests & Bills too, is why we really need to fortify that OL or else Tanny won’t be able to properly run Gase’s good offense.
And us.

The way America does business needs a serious overhaul to keep jobs here, to balance trade, & increase our GDP. So far, I only see a guy like Trump addressing that. The rest just want to go bomb somebody to keep feeding their handlers of the MIC.
———————————————–
If we balance trade then that 15 dollar dvd is going to cost you 45-50 dollars and we can’t increase our GDP with consuming more in US vs. Global market. Global market has increased our GDP because of these trade agreements.
The last import/export US trade March 2016 imbalance mentioned that imports for crude oil was lowest in 15 years and we just started putting our US produced oil on the world market.
I call BS on the $15 dvd going to $45-$50. Supply & demand will take care of that. If the price is $45-$50, then people will not buy them and spend their money elsewhere, thus the price will come back into line.
sounds like Milton Friedman from the 60-70’s.

Need a good OL just like any QB does. Of course injuries happen, but the downfall in Miami was little depth to compensate for those injuries, and even more damning, was lil adjustment to the gameplan & silly play calling to also compensate for the injuries & inadequate depth of the OL.
Give Tanny some room to work with.

free shipping also—now how can they do that. I had to buy one at walamrt for work emergency several years ago and it was 12 dollars.
I saw where a drone made its first drop shipping of a package to a consumer address the other day….very Orwellian, or is it HG Wells? lol
We also need a starting CB opposite Maxwell.
We can’t count on Lippett just yet, nor Bobby McCain, & Jamar Taylor is barely treading water at this point.
So @ #13, I think they have to go Hargreaves for sure if he’s there. If not, then Alexander/Jackson, or no later than the 2nd for Artie Burns ( I like him a lot for this type of defense).
We’ve also had a FA interview with Leon Hall, but he’s been playing slot from what I can remember.
Sooo, what say you?
Hargreaves i think is the perfect fit, Jackson i think is a pretty close second but Alexander i dont think fits as well as some other candidates for the secondary they look to be going for. They seem to be looking for aggressive CB’s more press-zone kinda guys. Alexander is more of a off-man CB, do to his coverage style of play. Again, im not trying to insult him as a player, in some systems he’s probably better than the other two but i would actually rather have Apple or Burns over Alexander even though i think ball skill and technique wise he is better than both.
I mostly agree. Alexander is a good shadow guy, but seems to lack the physicality.
Something about Apple just doesn’t sit well with me. I think his recognition is poor & his tackling is not good.
Now Burns as I mentioned is really intriguing for what VJ seems to want to do in Miami. We’ve done well with other recent Canes in Miller & OV.

I can see the future of drones delivery very soon in addition uber is going to try delivering and I think google with its driverless cars will have a impact on delivery services. Uber is already delivering food also. One of the Saudi Arabia princes invested 1 plus billion in a uber like service recently I think it was called lnyk ?
Be careful with all this technology talk, you’ll scare GD. LOL
Gettin cray cray out there….lol
recreational drones are very addictive. I play laser tag with a group of neighbors. It’s a blast but if you are not careful you can do seroius damage if you crash into something and its very costly to have them repaired. One of my neighbors crashed 2-3 times and he had to spend 300-400 to repair each time. The wife told him it was last time well he crashed again. He decided to open a credit card mail offer so he wouldn’t have to beg wife to get his drone fixed again. Well the wife found out and played him for 3 weeks not letting on what he did and she knew. They almost got divorce over this.
Morning folks.
Just read this hallaboo about Ford, they have been exploiting countries for years. Don’t worry we have had to put up with business going overseas in droves citing the big bad unions have made wages get too high. What a load of crap. Our standard of living means we need a decent wage and so does YOUR country. to be cont.
This new TPP agreement is really gonna put the screws to most workers/families in our countries. NAFTA was very bad, why a lot of this is happening now, and the new TPP is NAFTA on steroids. But hey, the corporate giants win & they’re the ones padding the coffers of the pols running as well as the ones already in office.
fords workers were making 60 bucks a hour with their benefits whereas Mexican workers were only making 14-15 bucks a hour with their benefits. Most new plants are computerized where humans do minimal production or less educated work. If we had rolls royce production plant in US then I think we could compete. Boeing aircraft has highly educated people on production lines and I rather we have this since aircraft in the skies are expanding internationally at a great pace.
On a personal level another bro-in-law is a mechanical engineer designing dock cranes and stuff like that. Clever bloke, anyway he sold a crane to a Malaysian business and if it had been made here the job would have taken around 3 months to put it up. Took them 18 months. He had to fly over there 6 times just to try and sort out problems. He told me it took him 2, I repeat 2 whole days to teach them how to drill a hole straight in a piece of steel. Rubbish like that made him vow and declare he would never use their labour again. Ford will find the same thing in Mexico, standards will drop and quality will suffer. My youngest is thinking of buying Fort GT 350 if they released it here. My advice, if built in Mexico, PASS.
Forts are cool. 😉
That’s a douche mobile. LOL
multi national corporations have no borders and no obligations to any country. The US paid general motors and ford for damages after the US destroyed Ford /GM production plants in Germany in WW2. They were building tanks and jeeps for the Germans.
It’s a fact these large corporations employ a small percentage of workers whereas the small business owners employ the majority of workers around the world.
@ArmandoSalguero: FAU safety Sharrod Neasman (explosive) is among draft eligibles on a local day visit with the Miami Dolphins today.
I’m not going to spend too much time racking my brain over which CBs we’ll target. We have a definite idea how we want our corners to play so whoever we pick it’s going to be a scheme fit even if not the 1st rd.
@mike_e_kaye: FAU DL Brandin Bryant will workout at the Dolphins “local day,” per source.
According to NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington, the Dolphins quarterback for the past six weeks has gone out with his wide receivers every week twice a week and thrown routes to them.
The Dolphins will start their offseason program Monday, but quarterback Ryan Tannehill already has put in a lot of work to put himself in the best position to succeed in his fifth NFL season.
The 2012 first-round pick has been working regularly with his receivers since the end of last season and has been spending a lot of time studying film of the Denver Broncos offense that was run by new Dolphins Head Coach Adam Gase, NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington indicated Thursday in a Dolphins.com podcast.

Damn I missed that typo and I read the bloody thing too.
JS… yes you are right re the robot lines but who is going to repair the damn things when they break down? Tell this people would you work for 14-15 dollars per hour if you were getting 60 dollars now? No, I didn’t think so. why aren’t you out on the streets protests calling your reps polis, show some anger. We actually stop a few companies leaving by doing this. The othe thing is stop the illegal immigrants flooding into your country. Just ask Europe how that is working out for them.
It’s reshaping and destroying europe, which will never be the same. It’s coming to the US in masse as well. No wonder Trump connects with so many!
smart hands assist while a technical person is instructing over the phone. Lets not forget one can have face to face conversations with the new phone technology now a days. Pointing a phone inside a engine compartment to get a view for someone half way around the world isn’t hard..The world is getting smaller and making it better for everyone in the world. International trade has created a global market where their are more employed people, more goods available to less developed nations, better GDP for all nations involved in trade agreements wheras if a nation closed imports then they wouldn’t be able to survive now a days.
Do you think a company considering moving into your country will consider this a negative and not move there?
Geezus I must be tired like look at my typos.
They talk about drones in Levitticus right? Or were they one of the plagues?
They certainly have been a plague to all the innocents killed in drone strikes abroad, by the Bush & BO admins. But hey, at least we don’t have anymore terrorism….lol
Yeah they probably should have just focused on killing their families like Trump suggests he will do.
Ha, yeah that was overboard in trying to say lets be tough on ISIS. Sounds like an old Mafia technique…lol
You know during WW2 Germany jailed 2 generations for crimes against the state. Father and Grandfather for example. North Korea does that also now a days. ISIS kills both generations.
Are these FAU prospects long shots?
yeah, If anything they are likely looking at them to see if they will be priority UDFA’s.
Its a local visit, it doesnt count toward offical visit limit.
Tim, you’re right. Tannehill’s work ethic was never in question. Now I wanna see/read where the OL is doing all they can to work in the weight room, train in technique, & studying film.
Well the team can’t put the OL on their official weight training program until Monday. They can’t even talk football until then. That’s a silly rule in their agreement.
I know that, but nothing stops them from getting together on their own as Tanny & the receivers have.
@ArmandoSalguero: Canes DB Deon Bush is visiting the Dolphins.
good
Should be on our radar and I can defiantely see acquiring a quality safety on Day 3
@ArmandoSalguero: Canes WR Rashawn Scott is visiting the Dolphins, per league source.
GD, what are the OL going to do on their own other than watch film of themselves and other players and work out?
As one of the Tanny critics around here
I can tell you I don’t question his work ethic or his toughness
I question his football smarts more than anything else
I don’t want to spend a lot of time going into the details of that bc it will take over the blog
but I certainly think Tannehill has positive attributes
Tannehill working with receivers doesn’t really change my opinion of him in the offseason
I sort of expect it of a professional
but I am aware that many don’t put this time in
I hope it pays off in the regular season to a more polished QB
logic would says that it would
but frankly, its nothing new from him
which is why you don’t hear negative things about his commitment to the team or his work ethic
There is nothing Tannehill can do in April that will change anyone’s opinion of him
He can’t even do anything in the preseason to change anyone’s opinion (good or bad) bc he was outstanding last preseason and it wasn’t the same in the reg season
He really needs to just show it on the field in the reg season
Reports are Paxton Lynch had a very impressive pro day and may have joined Wentz and Goff in the top 10.
@ArmandoSalguero: Western Michigan WR Daniel Braverman is visiting the Dolphins, per a league source.
@ArmandoSalguero: Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty (6-3, 210) is visiting the Dolphins, per a league source.
@ArmandoSalguero: QB Brandon Doughty led the country in passing yards (5,055) and TD passes (48) last season. His 71.9 comp. percent set a record.
Anyone want to still trash the guy?!?!
didnt we hear the same stuff last year? none of it means anything until the real games start.
exactly my point
although last year I think it was working on the ball
and I do think they paid off
Well it did result in good production with Landry and Matthews.
@AdamHBeasley: Add Jake Rudock (Aquinas/Iowa/Michigan) to list of QBs working out/visiting Dolphins this week. Harbaugh loves him, has experience in pro O.
@ArmandoSalguero: The Dolphins invested one of their Combine visits on Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg. Team had zero issues with his answers to questions.
That is because he said “I love you Mr. Ross” at the end of each answer
it could have been awkward but it looks like the strategy paid off – no issues
By the way, what is reported when the Dolphins do have issues with answers?
“we didn’t like the way he paused when we asked him his favorite flavor of ice cream”
@AdamHBeasley: Dolphins clearly interested in finding a long-term backup, and Rudock could fit the bill in third day/priority free agency. One to watch.
I don’t know where those QBs are ranked
but I’m getting the Practice Squad kinda of feeling
rather than a spot on the final 53
We only keep 2 Qbs right?
Tanny and Moore
It sounds like a long term development thing to replace Moore eventually
“We asked Christian if his mom could do more things with a cigar than Monica Lewinski, and he said yes, and so we’ve now taken Christian off our board”
“We asked Christian if he eats pudding pops and he said – SIMPLY PUT, BILL COSBY IS A GOD AMONG INSECTS, therefore we took him off our board”
Brandon Doughty is a Davie, FL. native. How special would that be for him to come home.
Any idea where he went to high school
I’m guessing either St. Thomas or Western
http://www.nbps.org/
And he has worked in the past with Dan Marino one on one.
“We asked Christian if he watches Full House and he said – JESSIE IS A QUEER so we took him off our board.”
We asked Christian if he enjoys anal sex and he said, “only if the guy wears a condom” so we took him off our board.
Ribbed condom for HIS pleasure
He then apologized and said “No I mean I like it bareback” So we burned our draft cards
LOL
He said not only does he like it bareback but he prefers threesomes. So we all threw up. LOL
“We asked Christian who his favorite artist was and he said – CORY FELDMAN, so we took him off our board.”

Reply
Tim, If Lynch is still there at #13 and the Broncos haven’t finalized a deal with Kaep, then what about Denver making a call to Miami for their #13 before the Rams get a chance at Paxton?
A trade might look like;
Miami to Denver – 1st Rd pick @ #13, it’s a big trade up but, then…
Miami gets Bronco’s #31 pick, this year’s 3rd Rd pick @ #94, & they throw in CJ Anderson.
Plus in 2017 Phins maybe can get Broncos 2nd & 5th Rd pick.
I’ll have to look up the trade value chart, but that would be cool, just a crazy idea.
I would expect a 2nd rounder in 2016 for a significant trade down in addition to other compensation
but in most cases the extra 2nd round pick is the meat of a trade down in the first round
13 to 31 is a big drop off
I defiantely think Denver is in the cards for a trade down partner based on QB need though
if you are looking at OL, RB, CB, LB or even DB
I don’t think 31 is such a bad spot
but the extra 2nd makes it worth it
and unfortunately its the last oick in the 2nd round too
All of Denver’s picks are worth a little less
It would be a 2nd, but getting CJ Anderson in the deal keeps us from using a 2nd or 3rd rd pick on a RB, and it gives us a ton of picks next year, especially with the extra comp picks that seem to be headed our way.
@SiriusXMNFL: Utah RB @DBook23: I visited the #Broncos last night. Will visit the #Dolphins & #Patriots in the next 2 weeks. I already met w/#Panthers.
woop woop
Texas A&M RB Tra Carson ran a 4.54 forty-yard dash and posted a 37-inch vertical jump at 226 pounds during his Pro Day workout.
It was an impressive showing for Carson, who sat out the Combine workout while recovery from toe surgery. “He did a good job of showing his foot is healthy today,” a scout who was on hand said. “He planted firmly on it and didn’t show any hold up from the surgery. He seemed a little out of shape, but that is expected from a guy coming off foot surgery.” Carson is not a fluid athlete, but he is explosive for his size in a straight line and is solid in the passing game. He could be a day three pick.
Curt Maggit is also visiting the Fins
LMFAO!
@TomWelke: @AllbrightNFL what’s the deal with Doug Pederson banging his secretary rumors?
https://youtu.be/cY-_8s2w9EI
What’s funny is the secretary’s name is Hank. LOL
C.J. Anderson being a part of the trade would be weird. Denver does have 10 draft picks.
The trade value would be their 1st and 2nd this year and a 2nd next year. We could then turn around and trade back up with another team if we’re targeting someone.
They seem intent on resigning Hillman. But yeah, I like the idea of collecting the extra picks too, regardless if CJ is part of the deal or not.
Come to think of it, there’s also Ryan Clady. What is Denver going to do with him now that they just signed Russell Okung? They can’t keep affording to pay Clady his salary, the Broncos are the worst strapped team Capwise.
The offseason still could get very interesting.
Is Clady even healthy?
LMAO
@ProFootballTalk: Ravens running back Terrance West reportedly robbed — twice — at a Miami hotel https://t.co/7YdIWKf9ba
He must have been going east & west instead of north & south….lol
Where did all of this Denver trade talk come from?
I think GDP mentioned it. Its just chatter on the board thinking a trade would allow Denver the opportunity to land Lynch.
Gotcha. Just curious if there was actual talk about it or not, not that we’d hear about it if there was.
we made it up
its just speculation by us
So it came from the mystery blog mist, beneath the tunnel, next to the singing bush
Tim, Clady tore his ACL in the OTA’s in 2015, so he’ll be about 15months recovered by exhibition season.
Actual trade talk regarding Denver is that they’ve contacted Buffalo about Tyrod Taylor.
Who’s Buffalo’s QB then?
Bills have been with all round 1/2 QBs so far. They’re taking one early. Taylor and his agent have went on an assault to try to get out of Buffalo.
Tim, we could trade them Tannehill. Moore is the team MVP afterall.
