So many possibilities exist, because despite all the prognostications, no one really knows how things are going to shake out on draft day, which incidentally, is only 1 week away! 7 days folks, and ALL the First-Pick and Fanspeak mock drafts will disappear, at least for a few months until we start them all over again. We’re hardcore fans, we can’t help it!
What I’m going to do is give you all a look at how our draft appears to be shaping up and who seems to be popping up the most for us at #13 . I could go further, as 7 RD mock drafts are more commonplace, especially this late in the game, but I think it gets silly to try and determine all 7 RD’s, so we’ll just look at the 1st RD.

According to all the mock drafts I have listed above, this is how it all stacks up.
It’s pretty obvious that most of the people who put in some time think we’re drafting a CB. Although the vote is somewhat split among 3 players, Eli Apple, William Jackson III and Vernon Hargreaves III or Mackensie Alexander, the majority of selections were us taking a CB. The winner, by just 1, and of course, there are literally thousands of mocks, which kind of made this exercise futile, but, I did it so, the winner is . . .
Ohio State CB – Eli Apple 6’1″ 199
Wait!!!! What’s this???? It’s a TIE???? Yes, it’s a tie!!!! After tabulating all the selections, it seems as if we have a tie between Ohio St. CB Eli Apple and Ohio St. RB Ezekiel Elliott!
Ohio State RB – Ezekiel Elliott 6’0″ 225

Ohio State CB – Eli Apple

Ohio State RB – Ezekiel Elliott
LB Darron Lee, CB William Jackson III and DE Shaq Lawson get honorable mention falling just one shy with 4 selections.
I can’t believe the draft is just a week away people. The draft is something I always look forward to, and yet somehow, get disappointed how it turns out. Let’s hope we get what we need, and give our new Head Coach Adam Gase the right tools to work with. No question we’re short on CB’s, so there is little doubt we will be selecting one early, if not necessarily 1st. I think we might take two CB’s, but we’ll see how it turns out.
Are we done tinkering with the O-line? Do we have our starting OG’s in house? I don’t think so, so I expect at least one early pick on an OL, maybe an OG, or an OT who will be moving to OG. We need a youth infusion at DE as well, so I won’t be shocked if we go DE early either. I feel like we need a solid LB, but we did trade for Alonso, and Jenkins should round back into form, which leaves Misi. We know what Misi can give us, but I want better. We also have to hope Alonso can regain his rookie form, when he was a dominant player. I’m leery counting on him, but it seems like the team isn’t.
We have 8 total picks at the moment . . .
#13, #42, #73, 107, #147, #186, #227 and #231. Do we finish the draft with 8 picks, or less, or maybe more? Tune in next Thursday, and find out.

Mike do you still have some of the baseball cards from back in your day, the ones that came in tobacco cans?
Mike still holds a Horny Wanger from the late 1800’s.
I have some old ones, but I didn’t start collecting until I was about 5, so 1968. I think I have about 2 or 3 cards from 1968, but most of them are from the early 70’s.
Thats a decent era, though the ones that really seem to never drop in price are the 50’s and earlier. Proliferation of the baseball card marker fucked up baseball card collecting even for sets several decades back.
My son is into football cards, i gave him all my old ones, some older Dan’s and so forth, Emmit and Sanders rookie cards, lots of guys long gone from the NFL. Hopefully he will take care of them lol.
D
I don’t think I have anything of real value, because I’m sure the condition is important, and even though I have them boxed properly now, I flipped them, threw them, put them in my bicycle spokes too, so they aren’t pristine at all. lol
D
My sons had nothing to do with sports at all. I think that was my penance for taking my nephew under my wing and making him a Dolphins fan in a family of Jets fans.
GDP
That definitely hurt us, all the misses on CB’s. That was the year I had my draft party, and we were all agonizing over the guys we did pick, and especially over the ones we didn’t. Piggy was flipping missing out on Samurai WR’s and the CB’s he loved, Ekpre-Olumu included.
Mike, I was playing off of Mike and The Mad Dog when Mike told the story about the movie Daredevil about a blind crime fighting super hero and Mad Dog asked, true story? LOL
Ohhhh, yeah, that was pretty funny
Mike and D, I had the same era baseball cards (70s) and I believe I ignorantly sold them at a yard/garage sale. Doh!

Here’s Mike’s baseball card of murder’s row back in his day.

Wouldn’t it be wild if the Eagles traded up for one of the QBs and if the one they really want goes to the Rams they take Elliot? I doubt it but their GM left some hints of surprise. By going to #2 they know they can get him.
World finally be nice to yell “RETARD!” at the TV durin the draft and it wouldnt be after the Dolphins announced their pick lol.
would
They’re trying to make it up to the Eagles fans for taking McNabb over Ricky. LOL
If Eagles take anyone but a QB or Ramsey, they would be universally panned.
Even if they take Ramsey, most will scratch their heads. I think Ramsey could be an excellent player, a very valuable player, but not one you trade all those picks for.
Yeah QB is the only position you can really do that for unless there is a consensus LT pass rusher in the draft.

Im just curious to see if Brown still take a QB with pick 8. 4 QB’s in the top 10 would be a huge benefit for us, and i know Cook has dropped out of the first round convo a bit, but keep in mind, early on he was considered the top guy in the draft, and was a sure fire top 5 and he still has first round potential even if its late. Do the Browns go a safer route, do they take someone like Stanley to replace Thomas whom they are constantly dangling as trade bait. Hard to tell with that organization they are capable of some jaw dropping decisions and the same FO that was making those calls before are still making them now
NM, i must not have remembered them firing Farmer, who did they get to replace him?
Sashi Brown….I think
Sounds like they’ve started putting it out that they’ll take Elliot hoping someone trades up with them,
Well they hired former Mets personnel man Paul DePodesta who is an analytics guy and promoted a new GM from within so we’ll see.
When I was 13 collected the entire 1976 Topps baseball series (before the boxed set option). 700-something cards. And that included buying boxes and boxes wrapped with gum and trading to just to get the ones to fill it out. At one point I found the last one — Oscar Gamble. Ran up to tell Mom that I had in glory. Then went back to find that my dog had chewed up the card I’d left sitting along on the couch. Bought two more store boxes to find another one.
In college and wanting beer money, went to a card store and the guy went through the whole set and picked out like twelve and I took the offer for them for $20. Guess I got drunk that night at least. I’m sure he was laughing though.
LOL, awesome story.
Tried to sell is a few years later and the dude goes, “but you don’t have any of the high value cards….”
Must have been nice to have money to spend on trading cards instead of food….rich people problems.
Randy — we are talking 1976 for starters, You think baseball cards aren’t bought by a lot of folks? Keep in mind each box was like $5 back then.
By the way, why did you buy food? Didn’t your family feast on squirrels and lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats etc.?
Stanger grew up a prince with a chauffeur so… 😉
and a penis washer……
Hobson: Perhaps you would like me to come in there and wash your dick for you, you little shit. LOL
I’m still liking Darian Thompson as a possible pick at safety for us. I’d jump on him if he is around in the 4th or later.
He is pretty solid, more box safety with some ball skills like Neal.
On a side note, he was one of the players i met at Senior Bowl week, and the dude looks like he has spend half his short life in prison lol. Tatted up all over, up the sides of the neck, all over. Scraggly beard, again, very tough lookin dude.

Fruit bats go pretty good with breakfast cereals.
Oh and btw nice subtle Monty Python reference
you missed anchovies though
no i missed it, sorry im a retard
LOL @ anchovies
Yeah they eat everything, even the dingles. LOL
Randy
I lost half my baseball cards, I ruined another 1/4 of them, and I ate the other 1/4. I also ate the gum that came with each pack, which you conveniently left out!
You ate them when you were doing angel dust right?
Does it matter when I ate them? Does it really? lol
D
I agree he plays more like a SS, but he does have ball skills. That’s kinda why I like him. He’s a FS who hits like a SS, but he seems to have a knack for getting his hands on the ball.
Randy, Stanger also had a pet pony and a condor.
stanger
I was just being a smart ass. I remember looking at those shiny packs of gum and cards in the store thinking: “Gosh, if only a didn’t have to buy a loaf of bread to eat for the week.” Lol
I think it’s so cool that I found out I’ve been rich since childhood! I thought because we lived in an apartment, rather than a house that we weren’t rich, but now I know if you have baseball cards, you’re rich! Awesome!
Did you forget being picked up for school in these?
In what?
D,
There’s also the angle that the Browns can take Paxton Lynch lower in the draft than where they were slotted to pick (must have weighed the risks of all QB and figured the value they gain in a trade down of their 1st RD pick is greater than the value difference of Lynch/Wentz/Goff).
There were photos of Lynch with Hue Jackson at this past SB and Lynch has met with the Browns several times.
There is also this angle that I read from another website:
https://nflspinzone.com/2016/04/21/cleveland-browns-pick-paxton-lynch-wait-qb/
In addition to moving down to No. 8, the Browns also received a third- and fourth-rounder this year, a first in 2017 and a second-round pick in 2018. The Browns sent their fourth-round pick next year, but as Overthecap.com points, the Browns are projected to be awarded three fourth-round picks and a fifth-round pick in compensatory selections, which will be trade-able assets as of 2017. Compensatory picks are at the end of the round, but nevertheless are useful assets and more than offset the loss of their actual fourth-round pick.
The fact that the Browns have amassed so many assets in the future could mean they are setting up for a situation like the now Los Angeles Rams just went through in order to get their quarterback. They made the conclusion that they wanted their guy in 2015 and prepared to make the moves necessary to acquire him starting then. The Browns may be preparing to do the same next year.
Tim
One of those new-fangled horse and carriages? Hell no, I rode a stegosaurus, and got chafed by their plates! lol
For the Browns, there is also Cardale Jones who they may take (local kid and one who is liked by Hue) in the middle rounds. They will deal with that and see what happens while they wait for better 1st RD options to emerge in the 2017 class like a Deshaun Watson.
MLB sold the term Grand Slam to Papa John so you will now hear announcers call it a Papa Slam.
Okay, maybe it’s time to just end everything. Let us all pray for an asteroid to strike us and put us out of our misery. LOL SMH
Seriously?
Francesa was just talking abut it.
MikeE,
Just to make you feel worse, my little brother has collected comic books since he was about 10. He needed cash about 10 years ago, so he had to sell some. He made $15000, and he didn’t even sell his best ones. Of course I gave him a wedgie and a wet willly and stole most of it off him. Lol
LMAO!! I feel awful!

David Moore of Dallas Morning News reports that free agent DE Jason Jones is believed to be closing in on an agreement with the #Dolphins.
never heard of him, he any good
He’s a solid vet who will likely be a part of our DL rotation. We’re definitely making sure we have depth on the DL.
From Wiki (lead entry after Googling the name)
“Jason Pierre Jones is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. He is best known for being a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and departed the show on March 26, 2015.”
lol

I looked at purchasing a bucket like that, but the money I get from giving plasma just wasn’t enough to cover the mortgage.
LOL, I think it’s to guard against Jordan not being on the team, C. McCain and D. Moore not cutting it, and even Fede not progressing.
We’re going to have a 15 man rotation on the DL this season.
LOL, I think it’s to guard against Jordan not being on the team, C. McCain and D. Moore not cutting it, and even Fede not progressing.
We’re going to need to draft 8 CB’s to have enough
LOL
I think it’s hilarious that you can buy a phrase or word other than on Wheel of Fortune
Griff Whalen looks like a high school sophomore
Hopefully he doesn’t play like one
Tim,
You can never have too many pass rushers on the team, so I’m cool with bringing in a bunch of young guys with some potential and weeding them out in the PS/TC. Hopefully, you’ll end up with a group of about 4 you feel good about going into the season.
***
I haven’t given up on Dion Jordan yet. I really hope he can pull his head out of his rear end and realize the opportunity he has. The kid has elite athletic ability that you just don’t find that often. If he can come back and just give us a decent backup/rotation guy, it’s great for us.
To me, the worst case scenario with DJFF is if he finally gets it here, and then signs somewhere else when his contract is up, and gives them 6-7 great years of football.
Right, leading the league in sacks 4 times.
I agree on Jordan. It’s all on him right now. Does he want to play football? Alonso who was his teammate and friend at Oregon says he’ll come back with a chip on his shoulder so I’m not sure what to read into that yet. Does it mean he’s talked to Jordan about it?
Mike and Piggy can also salvage their #95 jerseys unlike my Clay jersey that will forever hang in a spare closet until I decide to donate it somewhere. 😦
Mike I looked two times this morning and didn’t see Draftsite listed
It was always between Drafttek and Great Blue North
I don’t know why I missed it, I knew you were about the only one who even knows of the site so I was expecting it and still missed it. What a drag it is growing old…
LOL Tim – Exactly
Please take video of what you do to your jersey. LOL
12 years from now there he is on stage wearing his yellow jacket telling how his NFL career didn’t start off well but he persevered. Smoke blowing out of a bunch of us old fucks’ ears. LOL
It’s Whalen jennings. Get it right.
I’m walking, yes in deed I’m talking…

Is Jordan in the last year of his rookie deal, or do we have him for another year after this?
Last
Should make him give us another year for taking one away with suspension.
Son
I only know of Draftsite because of you. That’s the truth. I had never heard of it, but you mentioned it and I checked it out, and now I look at it as much as any other site.
Dane Brugler (CBS) has Miami trading up to #8 to get Darron Lee. GTFO!
First of all, how many damn picks does CLE really need anyway?
Oops, actually, he has us trading up with CLE to get Ezekiel Elliott
Lol….. please refer to my statement a few weeks ago involving smashing my tv, shitting on it, burning it, pissing on it and then impaling a random stranger with the said shit on pissed on, still still smoldering shard from it and you will be about one tenth as close to as mad as i would be if that goes down.
I was thinking more like we might would trade with them to move up and get Hargreaves….
All these assholes just put out weird shit, looking for something to stick, so they can act like they’re something special.
…when something does stick.
DE Jason Jones started 31 games and recorded 9.5 sacks for Detroit over the past two seasons. He turns 30 next month. He’s the guy the Dallas reported says is going to sign with us.
I see a trend here, our FO thinks we have too many young guys and not enough experience, so they’re trying to add some small/short contracts of exp. players. I agree with doing that. If you have too many of those your team turns into a hospital ward, but you can’t have too many young guys that are green like we’ve previously had either.
What we need is the young guys to become good-great players, and learn from the vets, and then try somehow to keep them in the 2nd contract when they should be most productive. We haven’t been able to do that. Either the young guys weren’t worth keeping, or in the case of OV and MillerTime, we didn’t have the cash to keep them.
Or OV and Miller weren’t worth keeping at that price. When you keep your guys on a second contract, they better continue to improve or you end up with Misi and Hartlline.
OV would’ve been worth keeping for half what he got, and Miller for a couple M less per yr, but these guys didn’t make us a better team. OV had good sack numbers one yr, but sucked against the run, Miller had some really good games, but he couldn’t be counted on when we needed him, he mostly succeeded when the D wasn’t focused on him.
I would’ve kept Matthews of the 3.
RIP Prince….ive been pretty bummed all day about losing possibly one the best combination entertainer ever, but ya know the guy was just a really cool guy, he lived a like he wanted to, he did things his way and the right way. World of entertainment needs more Prince’s
He was in the news last week, they said his plane had some issues, but he was ok, then today this.
I guess it was related:
April 21, 2016 1:29 PM EDT – TMZ says Prince’s private plane was forced to make an emergency landing on in Moline, Ill., on April 15 after the singer fell ill from the flu mid-flight. Days later, he has been found dead at his home on suburban Minneapolis. Rueters
Steve
It was never really the case that Miller wasn’t productive, he just never got enough opportunities. OV was brutally overpaid, but we could have offered him a contract early last year, and signed him for much less that what he got. I think Miller will put up some nice numbers for the Texans. OV will never live up to his absurd contract
You guys keep saying that, but all you’re doing is looking at the stats and seeing how many yards per carry he had, and then projecting it out. That’s the shit Omar does at the beginning of every season. Miller didn’t get more carries, because in the 2nd halves of games he wasn’t effective when called upon. When the going got tough he petered out.
RIP prince. Very sad….
There’s been a lot of reports that many teams think Elliot is the best player in the draft but he’s got that RB stigma which is a position not valued like it once was. If we were to target him he better be a workhorse back.
I agree. Never mind splitting carries with Ajayi. Ajayi will just be spelling him now and again, but Zeke would be the man.
And run him into the ground by the time he becomes a FA and move on. LOL
Harsh, but accurate
Joking kind of. LOL
“I see a trend here, our FO thinks we have too many young guys and not enough experience, so they’re trying to add some small/short contracts of exp. players.”
Steve, you see a trend, adding vets on the short term, filling starting spots and role players in a rotation on the DL. Hmmm…, I wonder what that’s all about? 😉
Ross said he wants to win now, we’ve taken the route of let the young guys play and see what happens. We saw it last yr at S and OG, how’d that work out?
That’s a bingo!
Piggy this is what I mean by we’re in a win now mode. It doesn’t mean we have no desire for developing young players, we have a ton of them already and we’re about to add more. But the makeup of the core team could change dramatically in 2 years if we don’t win.
Good- We’re not expected to pursue Norman. That would have been a mistake IMO.
Where did you read that although I really wasn’t on that bandwagon?
Jason Cole heard it from a “SOURCE”. LOL Brian! 20 people are saying we’re going after him and one says we’re not expected to go after him, which is what Brian wants to here, so to him that’s word 😛
Bleacher Report.

Word true?

Guess my BS detector was turned on then………thanks though. 🙂
LOL good one.
STRENGTHS: Elliott is extremely well-rounded as a runner with ideal size for the position along with coordinated footwork that is always in sync with his eyes. He runs with natural pad level and fantastic forward lean, using his balance, leg drive and relentless fight to move the chains and pick up every inch he can. Plays with a strong intensity for the game.
Elliott is at his best on counter run plays, stopping on a dime and transitioning his weight to shoot through holes and dart through the second level of the defense. He displays outstanding vision to quickly read blocks and rarely runs with hesitation, bouncing away from would-be tacklers without slowing down.
WEAKNESSES: Elliott needs to become more consistent as a receiver and needs refinement as a blocker, but it’s tough to find weaknesses in his run style, which is why he could projects as one of the top running backs and a likely first-round pick in the 2016 class.
One week from tonight and it will be on, all the misdirection and bs will be over.
What would it cost us to move up to #8 for Elliot based on the trade value chart? 1. #13, 3. #73 and 5. #147.
go back to 8? I guess I would do that. So basically we got kiki and maxwell for 3rd and 5th.
Bingo! And Elliot. A starter at CB, LB and the best blue chip RB in the draft for a 3rd and a 5th.
The Browns could probably take Lynch at #13 and add a whole lot of quality prospects with all their extra picks to upgrade their roster as Hue Jackson tries to revive RGIII. It works for both teams.
After looking at how it could go down, I’m actually on the Elliot bandwagon. That trade would likely only be made if he’s there at #8 – draft day trade. We’d still have a 2nd #42 and a 4th #107 to add some other positions.

I have a cousin or second cousin whatever she is, she’s the daughter of my mother’s cousin. Well her son, they live in Pa, is a huge Eagles fan and he wants the Eagles to trade for Tannehill with Sam Bradford and the 2nd pick. That’d be some shit. I said people would literally go and kill Lurie
They would never say it but I bet these guys about to get drafted feel like it’s a game of Russian Roulette with who ends up as a Brown. Wentz and Goff I’m sure already did the happy dance.
Elliot reminds me of Edgerrin James. A 3-down back. 🙂

There’s absolutely no truth to Miller not getting the ball in second halves because he petered out or was ineffective. What games are people watching?
Braxton Miller would be an interesting pick but we have the boyish Waylon Jennings now so no need
I beg to differ. 6 games with less than 10 rushes and the reasons they were all blowout games is because Lazor just stopped and went away from the ground game too early. We all saw it. He made the team predictable and one dimensional early too often and did not utilize Miller properly enough. He put the OL on their heels 36+ times per game. We were dead last in rushing attempts at 21.5 PG. It was absurd. It was amateur. Lazor was in over his head but acted like he was smarter than everyone else. Yeah okay. LOL
http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/14886/lamar-miller
I think you are agreeing not differing.
Tim, what are you doing? You’re really going to show game stats to say why Miller would’ve been affective in 2nd halves? I agree he needed more touches, I’m just saying why Lazor did what he did.
I can see it now, Miller will have an opener where he runs for 150 yrds and all you guys are going to be saying we made a mistake, then the next week he’ll have 15 yrds and no one will say a word.
Oh right sarcasm. LOL
tim,
our guard and CB situation would become bad. We stil need at least 1 starting guard and 1 starting CB. How do we get those? ok the 2nd rounder could be the guard. I don’t want to count on a 4th round player to start at CB.
We have players at those positions. I want to see more competition but it’s not void.

Son should stop spreading rumors about me…
you should stop talking to other teams
Redskins are making an offer now to Norman, but they have less cap pace than Miami. Guess we’ll see who wins the battle of Normandy 😉
Playoff team
Boulder…
1. Elliot
2. CB or OL
4. CB or OL
Don’t forget about 2nd year guys. That’s historically the biggest jump.
We have a lot of DL on the roster if we add Jason Jones. How many do we need? That would be a mix of 15 DL not counting Jordan.
It would be retarded to trade back up to #8 and take Elliott. If they wanted #8 they wouldn’t have given it up to begin with, they would’ve offered draft picks.
No it would not. Think about the end result. A 3rd and a 5th to add a starting CB, LB and a top tier RB prospect. If they pull it off I’ll refer to it as genius. Remember that. 🙂
It has nothing to do with going back and forth from #8 and #13 as a variance. It’s the end result.
CB Byron Maxwell
LB Kiko Alonso
RB Ezekiel Elliott
We still draft 2nd and 4th.
Miller is a great change of pace back, but he can’t carry the load, so his salary can’t be justified.
Huh? How do we know this? By the 7 carries he got in the 1st half of some games? Or by the career 5.2 yard avg rushing & 7.3 receiving?
By all of the negative yrds and the 1 and 2 yrd carries he had when we needed more. He did most of his damage when the D was playing the pass.

so you are saying there is a really good chance then fins will trade up.
i wish i could look at this team like tim does but this team is years away from being good. i think trading away pics in any scenario is foolish. they need all the help they can get.
What I’m saying hasn’t happened yet, but I’d be ecstatic if it did. 😉
Steve
I think it’s more like we had change of pace Coaches. Every now and again they belonged in the game, but for the most part, it was too big for them.
I agree. Our coaching sucked last year. It wasn’t Campbell’s fault because he was thrown in the fire but he wasn’t ready for that. Our players were either injured or underachievers last year(except a select few). I fully expect to see better game planning and hopefully execution. We’ll see about drafting but the top 53 was lacking last year. It seems they are stacking us a bit better early but who knows? DTI is once again here so we definitely have some holes that need filled. Will the FO find us quality players this year? If we don’t bring another real QB in, I’m not sure how serious they are about top competition.
Yes Mike I agree with that, but that still doesn’t excuse Miller’s lack of production at critical times. The coaching staff helped his YPC, by limited the carries. Give him 300 carries a yr and he’ll ave 3.5-4.0 YPC.
I bet the Texans run the shit out of Miller. He’ll see 20+ touches a game, including receptions.
As long as he’s healthy, the Texans will run the hell out of him.
They better, they promised him that and paid him as such, Elliot would be cheaper.
This is for Son, and why I keep harping on getting this kid to develop. But he may go from a 7th rd to a 4th rd pick.
An NFL scout speaking with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel declared that Louisiana Tech QB Jeff Driskel is “more talented than [Connor] Cook.”
“He’s got all the tools in the world,” the scout said. “You’ve just got to get over the fact he was a transfer from Florida. He’s a little bit of a different kid but you want to talk about talent after the (top) three, he’s the next guy.” Driskel had the best forty time and broad jump of the entire quarterback class. “Any elite quarterback, he’ll test as well as them,” said another scout. “His confidence was shot at Florida. It did take a toll on him. He’s still developing but there’s a huge ceiling.”
GDP: Jeff Driskel isn’t even the best QB in his family. That honor would fall to his younger brother, Jason Driskel, of Florida Atlantic, who will be in a real battle for the starting QB spot this summer at FAU. As for Jeff’s “huge ceiling,” unless they start playing football under the Sistine Chapel, the “huge ceiling” doesn’t mean a whole lot to a franchise that’s had one bad head coach after another. Ross has yet to hire a head coach who is outstanding at “coaching them up.”
….and who’s saying Jason is better than Jeff besides you? 🙂

if they do for the sake of all of us i hope they are not wearing there white pants.
Great tactic to reduce tackles.
LOL, nobody would wanna wrap him up. They’d all be trying to arm tackle him.
Just ordered this t-shirt for my wife:

Good stuff
RHINO: My wife’s T-Shirt would feature the Dolphin logo from the early ’70’s, NOT Ross’s tepid impression!!

GDP: Reply for U up the page re: the BEST Driskel.
THOROUGHLY ENJOYED TAMPA BAY’s “elimination” of the Detroit Red Wings in just 5 games. It’s made more impressive by the Lightning’s loss of captain and top scorer Peter Stamkos plus one of their top defense men, Anton Stralman, who also missed the entire series. Stralmam may be back for the next round of the playoffs.
OUT for tonight. Fighting a pretty serious case of bronchitis. Gotta get rid of it before flying to Chicago next Thursday. Or should I just go to Wrigley Field and sneeze away on the Cubbies??

lol, so the best qb in the family is the one battling for a starting qb spot at that powerhouse football college FAU and not the qb that started for the wanna be power Fla gators.
got to love what homerism does to fans and there ability to blind themselves
WE’LL see whose blind, FFR. And we’ll see WHICH Driskell has the best NFL career.

this is how all defenses would play against miller then
LMAO, that’s how offensive linemen played against Odrick.

who of course is the lessor known brother of the lightnings real captain steven stamkos.
OD
didnt say blind just said your homerism for fau was showing. i couldnt really careless about either qb. as far as either school, i like all the florida schools.
Did you guys catch the Marino interview on the team site the other day? He said John Congemi was his backup QB at Pitt.
….and still following Dan the Man around with a clipboard…lol
Just watched several of Zeke’s 2015 games, he reminds me of a cross between Emmitt Smith and Marshall Faulk. they all had great moves/vision when running between the tackles and.

Miller is a great change of pace back, but he can’t carry the load, so his salary can’t be justified.
*
Please. just stop it. It is a crime how underutilized Miller was here. It is going to be a HUGE mistake in letting him leave. We created a hole in the roster by doing so. Consequently, we are now looking for a RB in the draft instead of filling other needs. If Miller stays healthy, he will have a damn good shot of making the Pro Bowl with a team that actually runs the freaking ball.
Play calling destroyed this O. Miller is a 1,000yd back, but he’ll never be the grind it out back you need in the playoffs vs physical fronts. Very good player who will post good numbers, as long as he’s healthy, when used properly.
Miller isn’t being paid by Houston to be a complimentary RB. He may not be a 20-25 carry a game back every game, but he’s going to get enough work in HOU and give them enough production as a runner and receiver that he will be worth his salary.
Miller was our best offensive weapon the last 2 years
LMAO!! Just read Chad Reuter’s 7 RD mock draft from NFL.com
If we take a fucking kicker in the 3rd RD my house is in peril. We have a good enough kicker, we don’t need no stinking KICKER!!!
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000655065/article/reuter-mock-draft-70-projecting-all-seven-rounds
I have plans on going to the MIA vs PIT game in FLA. If we did this draft, I’ll cancel them, totally serious!
That is a horrible draft for us
We may as well select herpes
Super hero will like this
http://www.footbology.com/comparing-nfl-draft-prospects-to-superheroes/
come on MikeE. Where’s the love for kickers. This guy had 2 private workouts for fins and fins visited him for fsu pro day. This guy is the best kicker to have come out of college since sabistan of the raiders who was 1st rounder. Some are saying the guy could go in 1st round to the 3rd round.
No love for kickers. We have Franks and beans, we don’t need another kicker, and certainly not in the 3rd RD. We have much more important needs than K.
this team needs new starters and he would fill that roll for 15-20 yrs because he is from south florida and will want to stay home. 15-20 years not having to worry about a position is what the draft is the about. Look at the guys FG %, his fg % over 50 yards, his touchbacks from kickoffs, even his on side kicks and you can say he may be the best ever.Did I mention he played HS in S.Florida and he is perfect in game winning FG attempts in HS and College.
tim,
continue from last night. I’m not confident we can find a starter in the 4th round for either CB or oline. If we keep 13 we can get a starter at one position. Then another in the 4th.
BTW I have no confidence in the guards we have on roster right now. I also don’t have confidence in our Other starting CB position. IMO both those positions are more important to find a starter int he draft than a RB. Ajaya can start. We can pick up a pretty good RB in the 3rd round.
But Ross likes to make a splash to sell tickets every year. So I can see us taking elliot for that reason.
LOL @ Herpes
Kiper and Mcshay jointly mocked
Hargreaves
Garnett
And Kenneth Dixon to us

That’s an excellent draft for us
I guess we know now why they are an espn and chad Reuter is wherever he is
LOL – Chad Reuter is on NFL.com
janitor?
jetssuck – I want our kicker kicking off, and kicking extra points. Franks was fine, he really was.
BTW – The only similarity he has with Janikowski is that he declared early. He only has average leg strength.
I don’t know where you that info. He kicks 70 yarders in practice and he has proven himself throughout HS and College. Both went to the same college. Do a Side by side.
I’m gonna save your post for the next 15 years
Boulder, I’m just rolling with different scenarios. I really have no idea what we’ll do in the draft or what this team will look like. I just hope it’s a fun and entertaining season. 🙂
Drafting a kicker 1-3 is absurd. And yes Franks was a good find. He has a big leg and he’s accurate.
jetssuck – This is where I got that from
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/roberto-aguayo?id=2555408
Bottom Line Burst onto the college scene by winning the Lou Groza Award as a redshirt freshman and performing at a high level during the Seminoles’ run under Jameis Winston. Aguayo is considered an accurate, clutch kicker but with average leg strength. Aguayo is the first kicker to declare early for the draft since Sebastian Janikowski and is expected to be drafted, though not as early as “Seabass” was.
that’s inaccurate–He’s from S.Florida where he played HS. He’s been a cult hero in S.Florida for 4 plus years. In HS he was kicking FG 70 plus yarder’s in practice. If he gets drafted by denver or some thin aired team he probably will break the record for the longest FG ever easily. 80 yards?
LOL
jetssuck
We need a kicker from FLA as much as we need an owner from NY. lol
We need to start looking for a new long-snapper just in case John Denney gets old. LOL
If you have he perfect kicker
And he kicks 70 yard fgs
And he kicks 7 for 7 on 70yards + fgs
And he is a nice guy
Who plays music everyone likes in he lockeroom
And he has nice hair
Your team still only scored 21 points which is probably a loss
A kicker can be a HOF kicker
He can be perfect
And not help you win
Janikowksi is actually one of the worst picks in the history of the draft
Probably unfair to him as a person
Bc he is a HOFer
But even the perfect kicker is less valuable than guys who help score 7 or stop somEone from scoring 7
6th and 7th round
That’s when the best kickers in college football should be drafted
I don’t think there is an exclusive kicker in the HOF. Even Ray Guy who is universally considered the best punter of all time isn’t in the HOF.
Really
I thought there were a couple of tokens
My bad, Ray Guy was finally inducted a couple of years ago and is the only punter in the HOF. There are 3 kickers – George Blanda, Lou Groza and Jan Stenerud.
Everywhere you go today
People will be playing Prince
Prepare yourself
The Horror
I don’t have that much confidence in Franks as a kicker but I am not advocating drafting another
Franks is at the bottom of my worries list about this team.
I thought he was pretty damn good coming out of nowhere. He’s got a big leg. To replace the salaries we had at kicker and punter with him and Darr was good fortune.
He has a big leg but he missed some easy kicks including 2 xps
Lots of kickers missed extra points under the new rule.
Prince with several greats doing “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
Prince plays really good lead & solo rips @ 3;27 mark & for the rest of the song from there.
Oops, wrong clip…sorry
