This new virus I am developing is going to be so hard to stop.
It’s not the biggest virus I’ve made to destroy a planetary population. It’s not the fastest spreading either. But its really hard to stop. I’m gonna call it the “Shifty Virus”.
Kinda reminds me of a shifty running back from UCLA

Paul Perkins was a very productive back for the
Bruins in his time at UCLA.
In fact, the undersized back won the 2015 Doak Walker Award given to the nation’s best running back.
I’m guessing the voters noted his 14 rushing touchdowns in 2015. Or maybe they even considered his career 29 rushing touchdowns.
But Perkins was not used solely as a, rusher at UCLA. He also had 3 career receiving touchdowns, gathering more than 2o catches over the last 3 seasons and gaining more than 200 receiving yards each of those three seasons.
Perkins looks like a good fit for this Dolphin’s offense since he can run and catch.
But his pass blocking leads a little bit to be desired.
Maybe he should take pointers from his father, “Bruce” who played fullback in the NFL or his uncle Don, who played 8 seasons with the Cowboys.
But don’t pay too much attention to the blocking, he’s undersized and he can learn.
Instead, take a look at his rushing stats. 1343 yards in 2015 and 1575 in 2014.
How did Perkins get those yards?
Well, the 210 pounder did not run through people and his 4.56 40 speed isn’t blazing by NFL standards.
But a jump cut here – a change in direction there.
This guy is shifty. You might see a few defenders lose their shoes trying to stop him.
Which reminds me of a certain virus I’m making to destroy a species.
If Paul Perkins was an alien weapon of destruction he would be “Wedge’s Prototype #453 Killing virus a/k/a the Shifty Virus”
Check out is highlights here:

So that was the first time I didn’t want to seem boobies on game of thrones
They were awesome until she took off that necklace!
Lol! Yeah, always loved her on the show until today. I think she got some of that shifty virus and all of the good stuff shifted elsewhere.
That necklace is better than any augmentation ever
this is it. my first and only mock draft for the team I’ve done this year. this year is extremely difficult to get a handle on as far as the prospects and who the team could take even in the first rd. Last year we all knew it was Parker. this year isn’t the same. no clue. but, I put it out there:
https://professorlousmiamidolphinsblog.org/2016/04/25/professor-lous-2016-miami-dolphins-mock-draft/
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25565566/dirk-koetter-unrealistic-to-expect-the-bucs-to-draft-as-well-as-last-year
we expect 4 or more starters from the draft every year.
it works.
Nice job Piggy. I’m still holding out hope that we draft his teammate in the first round, but I thing that would have only been likely if we stayed at 8.
Shifting gears to hockey, huge win by the Islanders last night. First series win since 1993(that seems too hard to believe). Now, it’s time to take out another Florida team.
NO GAME OF THRONES spoilers please!!!!!!! I didn’t watch it yet
how’s the softball team doing?
Just awful, but thanks for asking. We’ve mastered how to misplay numerous types of balls hit, on the ground, in the air, to the infield or the outfield. We’re equal opportunity blunderers.
Don’t watch the boobies in the last few minutes
How do you not watch boobies?
Nice job Pigster! I think we’d probably be fine with any of that next tier of RB’s, like Booker, Perkins, Dixon, Prosise, Drake, Williams etc . . .
Lou
What happened to Tapper? I thought you loved that guy
He got tapped out.
LOL
Yeah okay
A 3rd is nothing Omar….wtf
If you’re targeting a special talent that you covet and we may not be anyway, a 3rd is not really a big deal. It just pisses fans off during draft time because they covet draft picks more than anything. At the end of the day it’s all about the final 53, not how you got there. We also have a lot of young talent already on this team and some of them still developing.
It pisses me off because Elliot isn’t a special talent
Tim loves Omar, and agrees with everything he says. lol
That’s me. LOL
But I do agree with him here.
Mike E,
Tapper is a guy I wanted. My mock isn’t about who I want, it’s about who I think the team is going to target.
OK, I hear that
Mike, hope you had a nice Passover. My family and I did.
Thanks Tim, I did, it was really nice. First night at my Aunt’s was really nice, it was almost my entire family. The second night at our house was a Jewish/Irish holiday, I think there were more Irish than Jews. My friends and neighbors came, as they did last year, so we’re starting a new tradition. My friend Rob who passed away last year was sorely missed. Last year, and the year before, he recited the 4 questions in Hebrew, and sang them beautifully. It was so nice that he took the time to learn them and he had a really nice voice. I really miss him, not just on Passover, but very often. All I have to do is think of him and I smile, he was such a funny guy who was a good friend.
I’m glad.
My daughter did the 4 questions in Hebrew. I know how you feel missing loved ones. It’s times like these holidays that bring family and friends together and also makes you miss loved ones a little more even though you think about them more often than that.
My father-in-law is still in the hospital but we saw him on the way in and on the way out. My daughter and her cousin both his granddaughters brought him some Seder food after dinner before we had cake for my mother-in-law’s birthday.
Hopefully we’ll get him back home in a week or so.
For the Zeke Elliot fans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPgIwASMiOc
Zeke is clearly the better back over Henry…IMO.
Lou, I’m not really honing in on a favorite prospect(s) and will just enjoy the draft and see who we end up with and go from there. I just want to see us with a better roster/team heading into the season than last year.
Most definitely.
Tim
I don’t like the idea of trading up after trading down and giving up an early pick
especially for a RB
Sure we can easily end up with 4 starters after the first 2 rounds (if the first and 2nd rounders start)
But when you factor in salaries and the veterans we acquired (Maxwell and Alonso) being in Miami for less time than a rookie, its giving up a shot at a good young player (in the 3rd) you can build around for guys that might not be a factor past 2016
I’m going to be a Dolphin for many years to come
3rd round picks matter to me. I’ve watched players like Reshad Jones (5th) become a stud and Jason Taylor (3rd) become a hall of famer
I’m not fond of some one like Tannebaum, who might very well be the FO flavor of the month, coming in to make a splash in 2016 by giving up pieces that can be foundational pieces that the team can count on for at least half a decade.
I’m sure there are pros and cons to trading up to take a player like Elliot
but the pros are mostly 2016
and the cons are long term and when the current FO is long go if the pros don’t work out.
Moving around like that reeks of not investing in the long term future of the team
Look at what the Bucs did last year getting 4 starters first 4 rounds of the draft
Its the exception tot he norm
but nabbing 4 guys that start in 2017 and 18 and 19 in the 2016 draft is more important to me nabbing 4 starters for the 2016 and having half of them gone by 2018
And Elliot is not the next Adrian Peterson
He is not a once in generation RB
I think Gurley might have been that guy last year if he stays healthy
A RB has a shorter career than any other position
So I don’t think you give up a 3rd to get a shot at RB
I would not trade up for Ramsey or Jack and I love both those players
I can’t believe there is a British Meme with “Piggy” in it out there
…and Henry isn’t Eddie George
Perkins is a guy i like but he would be more fallback guy for me than a primary target. I think he has pretty decent skills, he doesnt jump off the page at you with his measurable traits, but he shows on field to have pretty decent instincts. I wouldnt be upset if thats who we wound up with at RB. Id prefer Drake though.
I agree with almost every part of this (except the part about Drake)
He’s a fallback guy
probably some one we can have in the 5th
it depends how the draft unfolds
but if you end up looking at other positions early
he becomes a target later IMO
and he would probably play second fiddle to Ajayi
Tim
That’s really nice that you guys brought him some food and visited. At least he got a little of the Passover experience.
Nice to see you guys being family & friend oriented.
He doesn’t really like too many visitors and I understand that, so it’s really just my mother-in-law, brother-in-law, wife, granddaughters and myself who go see him.
If i was giving up a 3rd to move up and get Hargreaves, that would be worth it to me, Elliot, not as much. If we are going to make a big move in the first round id like it be either for someone that i think brings security at a position we currently dont have anyone to cover that spot. I think at RB we could easily find a FA after cuts, get a later round guy, or lean on Ajayi and have that position pretty decently covered. I dont begrudge the value of a good RB, but that hole we have in the secondary is much much more scary to me.
I think the falloff at CB is much steeper than RB
But I like Alexander a lot
and if Hargreaves isn’t there at 13, Alexander will be
I would like to walk away with one of those 2 CBs though
I’m not as high as Jackson as a lot of other people
to me Hargreaves and Alexander are a tier above everyone other CB (and I call Ramsey a S)
Yuck. I feel the other way around. I don’t see them moving up for Hargreaves. He doesn’t ideally fit their criteria of the way VJ will run the defense…IMO.
He’s just shorter than ideal
other than that – he is the kind of talent who can thrive in any scheme
Piggy, but the team likes length at the CB position.
Piggy, the only regret i would have trading up for Ramsey is the fact we would have to trade up to 3rd, and give up a lot more than a 3rd for that. I also dont think that San Diego would lose out on him unless we really sweetened the pot.
I would not trade up for anyone in this draft
especially after we traded down
I just read a story about draft equity and some one mocking is for not receiving a draft pick for taking the salary cap issues away from the eagles
if we acquired a 4th rounder
maybe I would be a little more receptive be to it
Piggy, Alonso is on the last year of his rookie deal – he’s pretty cheap. If we trade up with a 3rd I look at it like we have 3 starters for a 1st and a 3rd. We’re still on the plus side.
I’m also not advocating it, just rolling with the rumors and possibilities.
Alonso on the last year of his rookie contract makes it even less appetizing to me
He might leave after 2016
He might require a big salary in 2017
it will probably be one of those two things
Maxwell is a big deal and we know he is not a long term solution
there is a fine line between “win now” and “make a splash now”
and making a splash is just setting us back
we would be better off keeping our draft picks
I’m not saying you are advocating for it
But I think if we do what is rumored, fans who will be fans for more than just 2016 have a right to complain about it and should
its not just the abstract concept of keeping draft picks
or the need for Dolfans to vent about everything and poop on every move
its that picks, 3rd rounders, have potential to be great players, there is a history of it
So giving up that 3rd for a few short term players – is a huge risk to long term fans
Making a splash like that in 2016 would be like the FO promising to give us a new drink we will all love and showing up with a cooler of Zima
GDP
Who said Henry was as good as Zeke? I doubt anyone here said that. Thing is, you can get a different first RD talent, and then still get a pretty good RB in Henry in the 2nd, or really one of the other backs we’ve discussed in the 3rd or 4th.
Lou seems to be knocking Zeke. Soon he’ll be calling him a TAnnehill….lol
Not sure why you guys think Drake is a fall back option if Perkins isn’t there. Should totally be the other way around and then some!
Drake is a big time weapon. He is fresh too since Henry got the bulk of carries. Yet when Drake did get in for his 233 carries, he averaged over 6yds per.
He already is familiar with that role to work behind Ajayi. Imagine that duo that defenses would have to stay up late at night trying to plan for.
We could be both explosive when we needed to score in a hurry, as well as a run Offense that tires defenses out late in games with ta lead, with Drake or Ajayi popping one for the nail in the coffin!
Any RB can play the role of spelling the #1 back
you don’t have to be prepped for that in college
the good news for Drake is that he has little mileage
as opposed to Perkins who has lot sof mileage
I’m not against Drake
but Perkins does everything really well
He’s a very solid RB
and it seems like a natural fit to me
Its not length they are looking for Tim its agressive press corner play. Usually the bigger CB are pree-zone guys, Hargreaves can play in that scheme and is ideally fit for it,
There is talent and then there is scheme fits
and between the 2, talent should win out every time
When It comes to a 1st round pick
Just take the talent
you might be playing a different scheme in 2017 anyway
BPA
No they like both and they’ve said so.
Piggy, we have a lot of youth on this team already. That’s why we’ve been adding a ton of experienced players. We had too many young ‘green’ players last year.
We just need to always add talent
There are no breaks from adding talent
Having a roster of guys primarily from the draft works for a lot of NFL teams
why not us?
We do have a lot of players from the draft and we’ll have more by the end of the week and then even more UDFAs. We have 8 draft picks. Making one trade isn’t going to change that.
AdamSchefter
Eagles have been informed Sam Bradford wants to be traded and he will not be showing up for their off-season program any longer, per source.
LOL
Oh Bradford
well at least he will be healthy in September
LOL, Chase Daniels to the rescue.

Schefter: No failed drug tests at NFL Combine http://tinyurl.com/hrczmbz
I guess that nonsense about a 1st RD SEC CB was gah-bage
Yeah who lied about that?
Joe Haden is 5’11 and is probably the best CB in the NFL
I would rather draft talent than pass on talent bc we want length at CB
I’m just going by what we’ve done and what we’re hearing. We’re not making those calls.
I know
But we can play backseat drivers….lol
certain moves would likely receive criticism by me
Haden hasn’t been all that lately. My buddies that are Browns fans have grown weary of him.
But I get what you’re saying. The thing is, Hargreaves doesn’t seem to be as aggressive or as sure tacklers as others, but his instincts to position himself to defend passes are usually top notch.
I guess it’s up to what our FO thinks, but I don’t see a necessary trade up for him.
He’s been exceptional
He’s constantly rated high despite the Browns other problems
Piggy, lol, I know any RB can play a back up role if the coach wants that. The context was, he’s already comfortable with that. I don’t think Drake expects to be a bell cow back like Zeke or Henry and a few others would.
But, yes, the low miles on Drake, his receiving ability, & speed are very intriguing, but he does suck as a blocker for now…lol.
Henry is probably a guy that needs 30 carries to be productive
Zeke can probably do more with less
I thought you were referring to Perkins
if we drafted a gy like Perkins or Drake or even Proise
I think they are playing behind Ajayi and Ajayi starts
Agreed.
Who wants to trade for Sam Bradford?
WTF
I suspect the Philly GM is calling Tannebaum right now and asking if he wants to swap 2nd rounders for Bradford….
Prognosticator Lou does. 😉
Oh no, no, no!!! I am not advocating The Bradford Exchange.
broncos might.

Shifting gears to hockey, huge win by the Islanders last night.
from the sounds of it i think you meant huge win by the refs last night for the islanders. i didnt see the game nor really cared about it but the guys on tampa sports radio are saying the panthers got really screwed by the refs
I watched it and it seemed that way
I hate to blame the refs for anything though and I usually avoid that convo
Henry needs 30 carries to be productive? Where did you get that from?
Henry
Henry said I can only be effective if you give me 30 or more carries? Of course he did. lol
….a guy named Henry sitting at the end of the bar @ Slattery’s 🙂
Its not a stat, its speculation on the type of back he appears to be
He’s just a big back that takes a little while to get moving
He’s going to have plenty of runs that are stopped before they get started
He’s a guy you keep feeding to make things happen
not a guy who dances until things open up for the 40 yard run
Does Bradford end up in SF or Denver?
Probably.

piggy,
same thing the guy on the radio said. he hates to blame the refs but i guess the last few mins with an open net there were some really horrible tripping non calls.
and i am one that doesnt see anything wrong with blaming the refs. i mean if the refs fucked up and blew calls or didnt make an obvious call then what is wrong with blaming them and pointing it out.
Piggy
He’s a big back, I get that, and that’s pretty much how he was used at Alabama, but that doesn’t mean that’s what he’ll be in the NFL. Grinders don’t always need many carries to be effective, and he can wear down the defense for one of the quicker backs we may end up with on our roster.
As big as he is
He’s not as physical as he should be
To me he’s a solid back
you just gotta keep giving him the ball
He looks physical to me.
If Brady is out for the Foxboro game, then we get him in Miami last game of the season when Gase has this team hitting on all cylinders could give us a possible SWEEP! 🙂
Man I’d love to rub that in NE fans faces until the start of 2017 season!!!!
If I was Denver, I wouldn’t give Philly shit for Bradford. I’d take him for 6th RD pick next year, or cut him.
Watch Chip Kelly end up with his boy again…lol
Brady suspended again – yes!

D, a team saying what they like in a position and then telling you who they like in the draft is very different. We’ll see. I keep hearing TB is looking for a corner too and they just signed the smaller Grimes.
lmao at you guys thinking rogers son will be suspended.
https://twitter.com/theflyingpig44/status/724626637921329152
brady getting suspended is like the dolphins making the playoffs or hell having a winning record. i will believe both after they actually happen.
LOL, eternal pessimist!
Mike E
When I watch Henry I see a RB that avoids contact
I’m sure he is just preserving g his body for the next lelvel but I don’t see a guy who runs hard
I don’t think he is the next Marshawn Lynch
I think he’ll struggle a lot in traffic & tight spaces. Sure he’s a load that can bowl someone over, but he can be also brought down by going low & ankle tackles.
He actually doesn’t bowl people over
I just don’t see that kinda of runner
If the Pats go 12-4 and win the division anyway with Brady out the first 4 games I give up. LOL
They could easily go .500 without him
they could have done it last year too
Its just good to see the fight backfire
We went 11-5 in 2008 and won the division because of Brady being out. What did it prove? Nothing. We sucked every year afterwards. I could care less if Brady is suspended. If we want to prove we belong with the big boys we need to play them with their best players on the field.
Go Tanny!
Its less about the Dolphins to me as it is about the Patriots
We’ve split with New England the last few years
I doubt we sweep them
Its consistency that matters for us
but I am celebrating Brady getting what he deserves
That was 2008. A lot has changed since then. LOL

I agree Lou i am a big believe is you have to beat the best to be consider among the best. To me the suspension is just vindication that they thought they had found someone to let them escape punishment but justice found its way back to them. We still play hem once with him in the lineup, so we still get our chance to show we deserve it.
I think in many sports, the object is to gear yourself to beat your divisional leader and from there you will win out vs other divisions.
The Marlins in baseball (albeit WC berths) designed their team to beat the Braves and did so on a couple occassions.
Seattle built their team to topple the Niners
Ravens/Steelers/Bengals all try and topple each other
Henry is an interesting specimen.
He’s as big weight and height wise as Charles Clay was coming out of college.
The speed and leg strength is better with Henry but Clay was a little more agile (Clay registered better 3-cone and 20 shuttle scores).
Imagine him in formations as an H-back with a RB like Ajayi.
The Fins could really give team fits as to what will be run.
However, given Henry’s talent level, some team will want to make him their primary back.
Miami has too many pressing needs to spend at that position IMO; Ajayi is good enough for now.
Yeah thats where i am as well. As a complement back, he’s overkill, but the talent and ability as a RB shouldn’t be overlooked just because someone doesn’t like him for us as a pick. I can understand preferring a guy like Drake, or Marshall, or Perkins as a good complement at a better draft price, but Henry will be worth every pit of the late first, early second round pick he is likely to be.
FFR, the NFL has nothing to do with the Brady case anymore. The way it’s being reported, it’s a done deal. There were also hints in his contract extension that were set up with this suspension in mind.

Pro Lou,
Funny that you put Leonard Floyd as your first pick.
A couple weeks ago after digesting most of the pre-draft crap, I was leaning on Floyd as being the guy based on value at #13 overall.
IMO, Floyd can probably play OLB in a 4-3 but if he gains 20 lbs, he can easily be a DE full time.
People like to bring up the failure of Dion Jordan and attribute it to a scheme fit when in reality it’s the drug crap that made Jordan a failure and not his status in a 3-4 or 4-3.

One judge bought into what seemed logical all along — just not cooperating was enough to justify the suspension.
————————————
The league argued that it was fair for Goodell to severely penalize Brady after he concluded that the prize quarterback tarnished the game by impeding the NFL’s investigation by destroying a cellphone containing almost 10,000 messages.
Judge Barrington D. Parker said the cellphone destruction raised the stakes “from air in a football to compromising the integrity of a proceeding that the commissioner had convened.”
“So why couldn’t the commissioner suspend Mr. Brady for that conduct alone?” he asked. Parker added: “With all due respect, Mr. Brady’s explanation of that made no sense whatsoever.”
OF COURSE!!!!
Impeding an investigation has such a more devastating effect to the NFL than anything else
Its a big deal
If you are going to interfere with the CBA (like Judge Berman did) at least take note of what Brady and the Cheats did to obstruct the NFL from enforcing their rights under the CBA
And it a bigger deal for the NFL. It was more about just the footballs…..it was stopping all players from not cooperating with any investigation into whatever.
The RB class is very deep IMO.
Love the value guys

I’m going to miss Perkins…He went from being a RD 4-5 guy now to being a solid 3rd RD 😦
I have been talking up Floyd for a while Al, no one has seemed to really take him seriously on here. I think he is going to be a stud DE/OLB and probably a player that due to his hybrid nature could be on the field majority of the snaps. Tweener isnt a bad thing unless the guy isnt excellent at any one of those positions. That isnt going to be the case with Floyd and comparing him to Jordan is pretty ridiculous as well.
saw him as a edge guy and not a LB
but Lou says he is very good in coverage
so maybe Floyd works
Jack is my target at LB
and then Lee
and then Ragland
but Floyd is intriguing
Hate to rain on the parade, but don’t count Brady out of the Phins game yet.
He can ask for an appeal of the decision, either to all the judges on the appellate court or directly to the Supreme Court (and that even after if the full court one is denied).
That will include a request to postpone the suspension until the appellate process is done. Court doesn’t have to grant that but most likely it would.
He has to go to the Supreme Court to ask for cert
I don’t think anyone grants a stay pending cert
I guess we will see
but the averages don’t favor Brady
about 7-8 thousand certs are filed a year
and only 80 are granted
it must be filed with 90 days of the decision
so the end of July in this case
and then on average it takes the Supreme Court 6 weeks to decide to grant cert
So yeah – its cutting it close to the start of the season
I expect the Supreme court to say – there are no new issues here – fuck this senseational bullshit. And deny cert
So the stay, if any, only goes through that denial
and that is just about the start of the 2016 NFL season
stangerx,
Don’t get Jetssuck started on this subject 😦
I agree with Jetssuck that the evidence the NFL gathered on PSI and other BS seems highly flawed and unable to prove anything.
However, I’ve always wondered as to why Kraft would admit to something (agreed to some penalty by agreeing to lose a 1st RD pick this year) if there was no wrong doing.
Kraft believed that admitting to this wrong doing ahead of any NFL investigation would show ‘effort’ in dealing with a potential team problem and perhaps be a sign of good faith to avoid the suspension of a player such as Brady.
To me the non cooperation coupled with an admission of some level of guilt (for whatever reason) by Kraft is too much to ignore.

you mean how i started my response back to you with a lol
Yeah, that one ya wanker!
Al, don’t sleep on Wendell Smallwood as great value after the 3rd round. He could be Drake lite incase we miss on the bama kid. He could also be used as a returner for us, keeping Landry fresh.
I just don’t see a smart Adam Gase suing his star WR as a returner that much if he can help it.
Piggy, I was just looking that we have 17 players we drafted on the roster and 30+ UDFAs, guys who were UDFAs who were then cut by other teams and signed by us, CFL and journeyman types on our roster. This doesn’t count UFAs we’ve added over the years and just recently.
I’m not saying this tells us anything specifically other than we could use some impact from this draft. We need at least a couple of players who change who we are, not necessarily a lot more development and depth. There are a lot of players on the team like that already.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we shortened our draft and turned 8 into 5 for more impact than just more bodies.
Nice angle if they really have a solid plan for how to do this in conjunction with how their board is laid out.
I could see going best DE early @ #13, then later using picks to move back into the 2nd to have two selections there, or even do the same in the 3rd round.
Lots of talent in this draft at most positions in the top 95-125.
Then use the two picks in the 2nd or 3rd to acquire CB/RB/OG/LB/ all before the talent pools start to drop off too much.
Thanks and that’s what I’m suggesting. Target 3 guys top 3-4 rounds using the mid and late rd picks.
moving back in the 2nd, rather than the 1st, might work really well
you mentioned CB
but the same can be said for DE and S as well as RB (where it drops a little later)
The difference between early 2nd and not much
and the extra 3rd, 4th or 5th might be nice addition
D,
You are a big fan of the SEC and know of Floyd well.
Should be interesting to see where he goes.
The Giants are rumored to like Floyd and Conkiln.
They fired Conklin.
go suck a conk-iln
If we trade up for Myles Jack he can play both LB and RB…..lol
Look Ma, no cartlidge 😉
Just checking in from Disney to say FU Brady and FU Patriots.
Amen brother. Enjoy the beautiful day out.
LOL and enjoy, man!
Al
I do like the fact that Henry is a good receiver as well. He has talent.
He’s not too noted for that. Where ya seeing that being prevalent in his game?

Hate to rain on the parade, but don’t count Brady out of the Phins game yet.
you are just being a pessimist. just ask glitter……i mean getter 🙂
Waaa, Brady wins on appeal, waaa Brady brady.
I could careless. We’ve shown we can beat him, & I’m willing to bet a press coverage & better pass rush will beat him again this year!
Now do I think the rest of the season will be sunshine & lollipops? Of course not. That’s reserved for Tim…lol. jk/bb Tim.
But hey, what’s wrong with being a lil optimistic. kinda goes with the theory of hiring a new HC, OC, & DC I’d think. Plus cutting the mole off named Miko.
I’m not worried about Brady playing against us or not because I want to beat them at their best. I’m happy that lying whining fuck is getting what he deserved along with the entire Pats org.

Him and Ajayi together…
The No Cartilage brothers 🙂
LOL, hopefully they both have good long careers.
Only a few more days til the WTFs and SMHs.
WTF you say that for? SMH!
Oh yeah and I’m off Friday so I will be all geared up and ready for all of that. All the “I would have have drafted him instead, this guy sucks, Tannenbaum and Grier are ruining this team, Gase will be fired in 2-3 years” etc…. LOL
I think the Giants are going defense.
Their O can use more talent but they can put up points with their current staff.
They put so much $ into their D in FA and have to bankroll talent there to make their D go from bottom gutter status to top 12.
They can also add OL in the 1st and go defense next two rounds.
‘But hey, what’s wrong with being a lil optimistic.’
getter, we already all had this discussion and you know how pissy timmie gets if we discus something that has been discussed but i never said anything was wrong with it. i dont think there is anything wrong with optimistic or pessimistic. it is how one chooses to look at things. others seem to have a problem which side people are on

———————-
Pig — but before going to the Supremes they can ask for the Court of Appeals for reconsideration en banc. That takes time too. And after that they can go to the high court. So even if both are denied they can push the timing into the season (and don’t be surprised if they file each appeal request on the very last day.
And it seems a natural for the request to delay the suspension until all finalized. Unlike a monetary judgment, the court couldn’t give back those games once they are taken away.
Bet you Brady’s folks are timing it out to exactly where those games will fall if they lose though.
December and Jan would suck for them
I guess the smart move would be to split the baby and just settle and take 2 games in Sept
The story I stale already
And that settlement has always made sense for both sides, but then it didn’t happen before. Lots of big egos involved.
Doofus Brigade in the Dolphins War Room on Draft night.
We should hire M13 instead. LOL
“I agree with Jetssuck that the evidence the NFL gathered on PSI and other BS seems highly flawed and unable to prove anything.
However, I’ve always wondered as to why Kraft would admit to something (agreed to some penalty by agreeing to lose a 1st RD pick this year) if there was no wrong doing.”
————————–
Al — I’ve always taken Kraft accepting the penalty as “yeah something did happen with those balls.”
Q for me was whether they could prove that Brady actually did it (but guess we’ll never know what was on that phone). Was pretty sure once Brady refused to hand over what was on the phone that we had a cage fight going on. No way Goddell was going to let that go. And like the judge said he had a right to suspend just for that.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Brady agrees to drop his possible appeals in exchange for two games instead of four just on the noncoperation without admitting guilt on the ball stuff. And that would have him lining up against the Phins.
Take back the part about the Phins game. Was thinking it was game four but it is game two. So least we got that if they settle on the two games.
Wasn’t Vegas always a natural fit for the Raiders anyhow? Al Davis would be proud.
—————————
Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis will be in Las Vegas on Thursday to meet with officials and discuss the possible move of his franchise to the city, and it sounds as if he is all in. But there is still one big catch: financing for a new stadium.
According to UNLV insider Joe Arrigo, Davis is scheduled to meet on Thursday with the Sands Group, the hotel and casino company attempting to build the stadium. The new stadium would reportedly be shared by the Raiders and the UNLV football program beginning in 2017 or 2018

There were 18 players who worked out indoors on FieldTurf, and the Crimson Tide prospects were impressive.
Running back Derrick Henry — 6-foot-2 1/2, 244 pounds — got some extra credit for stepping in as a receiver because the event didn’t have enough wide receivers. The scouts on hand were ecstatic over how well the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner caught the ball. Henry stepped in and showed that he has real good route-running ability, and that is just another skill that he possesses that people didn’t realize that he was so good at. Henry really helped himself out at the pro day.
He’s an excellent athlete and obviously has very good football skills.
I remember seeing Alabama run quite a few screens
but generally I don’t remember seeing them incoriprate the running back into the passin game
is there a odds board where we can bet on who here will be the first to blow up the draft or say how such and such is a bust. or how the fins should have drafted that guy and not the one they picked.
we should be able to bet on that
Who would you nominate to be the first to lose it on this board?
You or Rock….lol
I’m critical
but not generally immediately critical
some one usually beats me to the punch
I’m also a lot more likely to criticize later picks especially if we select a guy like Jordan Tripp
Piggy
Henry was used almost exclusively as a runner, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the talent to be a good receiver, or run differently than h did there. He’s a very good athlete who would probably help our team a lot.
I don’t really have any issues with him as a receiver
I usually don’t put a lot of weight into experience for RBs as receivers given they are stuck with whatever offense the school runs
I just don’t think Henry is as physical as you want a guy that size to be
Let’s just say for arguments sake that he’s not Eddie George, or Earl Campbell, is he still not a very good running back?
I mean the guy scored a shit-ton of TD’s, he obviously runs hard enough to get in the end zone.
That happens a lot in college based on how guys were used. The same happens on defense. A LB may be real good in coverage but was never asked to do it in college because he always rushed the passer.

tim…….but now you know why i dont bet. 🙂
and i really am not sure. if you define ‘lose it’ as either way being positive or negative about a pick i would think it is probably between rock, bolder, D, LOU or getter.
I think it depends what we take
I might be first if we do that trade up
I have seen Henry be very physical as a runner. I don’t think it is a fair criticism that he is not physical. He has a great combo of size and speed. He is my 2nd favorite back in this drat but I do think it is a pretty big gulf between him and Zeke.
Just bc some one has size and speed doesn’t mean he uses it

Mando discusses trading up for Elliot or Jack
I can’t see the Supreme Court taking the Brady case. They have enough problems to deal with now.
2nd cir might reconsider though. Was a 2-1 decision with the chief justice as the dissenter.
It will be a real shake my head moment if millionaire takes something to the supreme court because he isnt being allowed to play a game for 4 out of 16 fucking games this coming year. Talk about pretentious to think you matter so much to united states population that you need the supreme court to step in to weight in so your fans can see you 16 games instead of 12. It sickening to me the though that someone would take it that high.

The coaches at Alabama told him to run slow, and to go down at first contact. Hopefully our coaches will tell him to run as fast as he can, and not to knock defenders down, instead of going down himself.
the coaches at Alabama also admitted that their wives like bukkake sessions
And Henry runs around them not making any contact.
