Can’t seem to go into edit mode from my phone so I may have to miss the roster challenge this year
Just post them here, I’m sure someone would post them for you.
nobody of note in Skins cuts:
T Al Bond, T Cody Booth, LB Shiro Davis, LB Ejiro Ederaine, CB Jeremy Harris, LB Willie Jefferson, WR Valdez Showers, WR Dez Stewart, WR Jarvis Turner, RB Kelsey Young
Reply
Yeah, cause the court systems aren’t clogged enough yet.
Let’s squeeze people for money that squeeze lemons for others….amerika smh!
So is Romo done?
Poke him with a fork….he’s done!
Or he should be.
My feeling too Herd
Depends what Dakota does.
Dak
Wow! This is the guy the Rams traded all of those picks for (Goff)? And he’s not going to start, but Simien drafted in the 7th round is going to start for the Donkies.
Romo reminding me of QB Chris Chandler AKA Christyl Chandelier
He has been healthy up until the last couple of years
He still managed to find a way to beat us last season before going on IR again.
So what is Dak Prescott’s fantasy value now?
I was wondering that. I had Romo and picked up Osweiler. Another guy picked up Dak. Not sure which of us was right. At that point at least the report was Romo out 6-8 weeks.
Just finished my fantasy draft, very pleased with my team!
aka must not have Tannehill
Care to show it? Or at least what’d you feel good about?
all the roster cuts:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000518343/article/nfl-roster-cuts-tracker
sorry. it’s last seasons
I was thinking we should use those leading posts like on Facebook to get readers in. Like the Oddyssey for example, Colon Pokey looked at Sanchez longingly, what he did next you will not believe…
Steve’s scamotz is from what….wait til you see who supplied it…
You won’t believe what happens when a married man Ask’s Mike…
If I gave you a million dollars…
Wedge does the unthinkable…
You’re a click baiter!
don’t tell my wife you caught me clicker-baiting
You are not going to believe what the Babe of the Week has been reduced to…
A raging Hulk and a Flying Pig go to a Dolphin game what happens next will astound you…
Getting a deja vu feel on that one……..but looking forward to having it happen again.
Encouraging stat from the PBP:
“Quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been sacked on 8.4 percent of career pass attempts. This preseason, Tannehill has been sacked once in 53 pass attempts, a rate of once every 1.8 percent attempts.”
Yeah like a bit over a game of stats to draw from…..but you have to like that.
Tannehill now getting sacked less, see what he’s doing with his new found time and it isn’t throwing touchdowns…
Why so much love Son?
This is what happens when a Mediocre White attacks…
Steelers cuts:
Cuts to 79: LB Jordan Zumwalt, LB Mike Reilly, WR Issac Blakeney, WR Levi Norwood, TE Michael Cooper, DE Giorgio Newberry, DT Khaynin Mosley-Smith, CB Julian Whigham
Son for Media relations but not as the head of the Tannehill fan club
Son I actually love the idea of putting that type of teasers out on FB and Twitter
and as you may have noticed they (the click bait) don’t really have to do anything with the actual story.
Why don’t all you admins do a joint twitter account with all sorts of stuff, but always of course with a link to this place?
Are you selling ads here Stanger?
nope — but wouldn’t mind some fresh blood coming in.
I’m not buying in. New coach who’s a QB guru, new friendly offense, new O-line, new this new that.
All I see is the same old.
Same old offense that can’t get down the field except once a half.
You can’t win like that.
I don’t know I liked what I have seen last 2 games. Pass protection is much better. The run game is still a work in progress. It’s hard to project how this correlates to regular season games because there is more experimental plays and no real game planning. Overall I am pleased in what I have seen from the passing game, not sure about the running game and I am very worried about the D in particular the LBs and CBs
you don’t have to buy into it or drink the Kooaid if you don’t want to. I’m one of the biggest Tanny detractors there is; especially over his first four seasons and I’ve some things from this coaching staff that I’ve not witnessed in a long time.
Like their constant communication with the players on the sidelines, constant involvement in the game and you can see a different attitude with the players. There’s been no quitting on their part, no slacking off like I’ve witnessed from them in the past.
As for Tannehill, his accuracy has gotten way better than what it was. His ball placement so far has been pretty darn good compared to what we’ve seen in the past. His decision making seems to be getting better, he’s reading the D better, seeing the field better and making quicker decisions.
It’s still a work in progress with the team because it’s only Gase’s first season with the team but you can see some things that are starting to work. Tannehill had a low avg yards per play vs Atlanta but he made some nice throws that weren’t his usual dink and dunk type stuff. The running game is a work in progress. Can’t deny the pass protection is looking better.
All in all there’s reason to be optimistic about this team this year. I’m sticking with my 10-6 prediction. Gase and his staff has this team wearing their big boy pants.
Guess poor Mark never got over losing that special colonpokey love.
——————————–
Rookie first-round pick Paxton Lynch was the second quarterback in against the Rams, at the start of the third quarter. Sanchez did not play. That’s an indication of where Sanchez stands, and there’s not much time left for him to change it. In the unlikely event Broncos coach Gary Kubiak doesn’t name Siemian the Week 1 starter it seems Lynch would get the call, not Sanchez.
During the game they were talking about cutting Stinky, but team with SB aspirations is going into the season with 2 rookies as their top 2 QBs.
Says a lot about Sanchez….don’t it?
Believe it or not, we have a twitter account and facebook. I tried at the beginning to post links to articles, but didn’t get any response from it. Maybe we should do click baiting…can’t hurt.
I do like the click bait idea
Are you trying to drive traffic?
It’d be fun to do if I had the time
I try to avoid driving in traffic -oh wait a minute
We have the FB and twitter linked to here in place we’re just all too busy (and old) to actually get it firing on all cylinders
But that’s why a combine account works — whoever has had a few drinks can just pop it out under one name. You’ll get some followers and some folks coming in. A bunch of busy old farts could equal one dynamic tweeter.
LOL (to self Arthur-in-bathtub-style) — would be interested to see how long it took you guys to get blocked by Omar though.
I bet in an afternoon we could have him freaking out
Stanger
#6 – RB David Johnson
#15 – WR Brandon Marshall
#26 – RB Devonta Freeman
#35 – WR Jarvis Landry
#46 – TE Greg Olsen
#55 – QB Eli Manning
#66 – WR Allen Hurns
#75 – RB Chris Ivory
#86 – DEF Arizona Cardinals
#95 – WR Devante Parker
#105 – TE Martellus Bennett
#115 – QB Kirk Cousins
#126 – K Chandler Catanzaro
#135 – RB Justin Forsett
#146 – Tevin Coleman
Cousins 🙂
LOL – Knew YOU’d like dat one
Devonta Freeman at 26 is nice. Parker was a steal. And looks like both of us are rooting for Landry (even if you overpaid…no offense) and Eli….and Devante.
Overall a very balanced team. And I ave to say good cause a lot of the same guys I have. 🙂
You’ll be a fool if you keep more than one TE or D on your roster except for bye week.
So you have slots to develop.
Is there a clear handcuff for David Johnson? I’m keeping Jerick McKinnon to back-up AP. And I’ll drop him when the need comes up and pick him up the next after whatever need is past. Doubt anyone will snag him (but won’t do other than in the weekly waiver wire stream when people have other things to worry about).
I say there’s a good possibility Dallas Thomas is traded to the Colts in the next few days.
What makes you say that?
Colts are in dire need and Philbs loves Thomas
Right I forgot Philbin was there
I heard they have some spare horseshoes they are looking to get rid of
What would the co.pentatonic. be? We give DT63 and a 5th, for the right to get rid of him?
Lou
You mean the O-line guru Philbin loves OL on roller skates?
No he prefers OL with bull fighting experience
Poor Snatchez looks like he will be out of work pretty soon
not with me

He will be out working the corners hustling to support his gerbil habit
crap that didn’t work
Stanger
Could be Chris Johnson (David Johnson’s handcuff). I don’t think he was drafted, so I could pick him up if I wanted to.
You don’t like keeping more than 1 TE? What if you have an injury?
TE’s are so either deep or mixed together (your choice) that it just makes no sense given that you have the guy you will play every week in Olsen. Even if Olsen gets hurt….how much better will the TE you pick up now versus the one you could then?
Just checked him out on ESPN……his ownership percentage was surprisingly low. It is an option, but if you go that way make sure he is the clearly the guy that will step in .
Son
You’ll like the name of my team too. From Scarface “Look at Suh now!”
Nice, but not – Suh’s your Daddy?
I just saw Scarface yesterday, it was fresh in my head, and I do really love that line in the movie. It cracks me up every time I see it. The guy’s brains are on the side window of the car, and he’s taunting him with “look at you now”. Hilarious!
Stanger
I think Bennett should have a solid year as a TE this season. He has the talent, and Belichick finds a way of getting these mental cases in control. He’s one of the more talented players, he’s a head case though.
I do see your point though. Just checked the waivers, and there are some decent guys available, so maybe I’m overthinking.
Bennett might not be a guy to grab though that goes against what I said cause his value will sky rocket if Gronk goes down. But you have Olsen. So even then would only make possibly make sense if you can put a TE in your flex.
Stanger
So you think it’s more important to have the handcuff than the backup TE?
It is all about what you can pick up. So say your stud RB goes down…..you are shiot outta luck unless you are at the top of the waiver wire, but if that is the case doesn’t matter so much does it?……..least later in the season.
But the key thing is that there are five WR/RB slots, including a flex. Why waste a spot on a back-up TE when there is only one slot for that? Would be different if you were going two TEs and pick the match up each week.
Also would be if you could hand-cuff Olsen, but my guess is if he goes down the next guy up won’t get nearly as many looks. Different with at least some RBs. More plug and play when you are talking run heavy Os.
Bucs cut Storm Johnson and Major Wright. I’d sign Johnson to PS if he clears waivers, he be a better stash than keeping Williams on the active 53.
Also think Wright might be a decent vet backup, but I think we would be better off keeping Aikens, and/or Thomas
Tanny’s lone mistake of note came against the Falcons on an Int that was tipped at the line of scrimmage, but what has put a real dent on his numbers are the slew of dropped passes he has endured.
Jordan Cameron has dropped 4. Landry and Parker have dropped 3 & 2 respectively, and Jay Ajayi bobbled a pass that was nearly picked off. Worse still, 4 of those drops came in the end zone. Yet Tanny still has a 64.1% comp in preseason.
Yeah, he sucks….time to move on….Smh
It’s a bit ridiculous based on PS games where he’s actually looked good the last 2 games but whatever. This will be an ongoing thing all year even during good games because people tend to critique every damn thing about him and how it could have been more perfect. LOL
No, Tanny’s not perfect, never will be. But yes, it is ridiculous for longtime fans to keep beating down on the best damn QB by far, that this unstable franchise has had since Marino & Shula days.
One of Cameron’s, 2 of Landry’s, were not really drops. One of Landry’s was not really catchable. Tanny threw it to the right spot, Landry did touch it and we are use to him pulling those in. That one though should count against either. The one drop in back corner was a throw away pass that stayed in a catchable spot. Landry and Tanny
Were caught off guard, blame on neither. One of Cameron’s was a PI, he had a guy on his back pretending to be a winter coat, again there was no blame there. So far Tanny has played well and put passes in good spot and I really don’t see anyone arguing against st that, well not many at least
Who all here is in tobas FF league?
Fields Forever is one of the teams.
We won’t challenge for the playoffs scoring under 20 points a game. Gotta figure it out. One scoring drive a half don’t get it.
You’re absolutely correct, now if the preseason directly related to the regular season you’d have a real point.
If I had to rank QBs we have had since Marino and maybe even prior, I’d probably have Tanny tied for second. A healthy Pennington would probably rank slightly higher but as it stands Tanny is about equal to him now and likely will surpass him if he continues to improve from now.
Griese and Marino are 1-2, 2-1. How does number 2 suddenly open for a career under .500 QB?
He said since the Marino/Shula days, not the 70’s teams.
When people go off on these type of rants, why do they conveniently omit words from what they’re debating? Sinice Marino.
Here dummies here’s a quote
“since Marino and maybe even prior,”
And there you go again, omitting maybe.
The 49ers refuse to stand and watch while Colin Kaepernick is playing, will not support a QB whose play horribly oppresses his team.
WTF is up with the Kaepersniffer. He’s gone and lost his shit.
He’s getting killed on social media. He’s a smug dumbass with his priorities and intentions all fucked up.
He wants to be traded.
Anyway it would be
Marino
Griese
Strock
Pennington
Tannehill – who has a chance to move up
Honorable mention to Earl Morral.
And nothing else matters
So after removing the pre Marino QBs you guys agree, how bout that😉
Quote from prior post:
“since Marino and maybe even prior,”
The maybe is a thought in his head and not open for debate.
Oy
I need to come up with a better name for my FF team. Team 5 just isn’t flashy enough!
How bout my 2015 team
“Airing our dirty Landry”
You Herd I Was returning Champ
We Are Marshall
I’m one guy.
All day I’ve been “People”, “when idiots”, “They”…
I’m the one tanne-bashing, I’m the one reading “since Marino and maybe even prior”
you can call me son!
Son, really? Dummies?
I’m going by this. Didn’t read what you read. Sorry, I must be a dummy for missing it. Geez!

Didn’t read what I read? You were the first to comment.
Sorry I was commenting on GDP’s post, not D’s even thought it was D’s post. My bad. But even then that’s right because Tannehill is better than Woodley ever was. Those teams won with the Killer B’s and a running game, not dynamic passing.
Why do we have to get so hostile though?
I never said even prior.
I also think Earl Morral deserves a ton of credit. Without him, there is no Perfect Season. I think he could’ve won the SB game as well. My dad was pissed at Shula when he put Bob in after Earl was the man that got them there all season long….lol
I hope for all of us fan’s sake that Tannehill continues his upward progression under Gase and everybody can finally get behind the kid. He deserves full fan support.
Playoffs or bye bye. no pressure just bizness.
Takes a TEAM on both sides of the ball to make the playoffs.
Fiedler with this cast of receivers — fuggetaboutit
That’s a joke btw…
sheeeesh
Jay was gritty, he has some good games for us. One of my favs was the diving into the endzone for the win vs Oakland.
I remember that, that was his signature game.
Jay Fiedler was a good QB!
He was good and so is Tannehill but that’s about where it ends up.
AND that’s how it’s DONE!
You know, I never saw a single game with Fiedler as the qb.
Yeah you can’t just put the entire season on Tannehill regardless of what else goes on with the team. If that’s the case we can blame a whole lot of QBs for that kind of stuff. Yet many times you hear excuses for other QBs like their OL sucked, or they had a ton of injuries or their defense stunk. But nope, it’s all about one guy in Miami. I don’t buy into that and never will. We need to become a better overall team, period!!!
Go Gase & Co!
Personally, I’m finished with the Tannehill debates. I’ve seen what I needed to with this coaching staff in place and think we’re going to make some noise this season. I think that you look at the people who are looking at this team from the outside and they also think this team is going to make some noise.
I think there’s some expectations that a lot of people aren’t talking about with Gase as the HC and the staff he has. People from all over the media are visiting the team’s practices/camp and they’re impressed with what they see and there’s a feeling the team can be something it hasn’t been for awhile; a possible playoff contender.
I don’t know if 10-6 gets us there but I still say that’s what we’re looking at and, yes, we’ve not moved the ball on every single possession in preseason but you can see things look different this year, they feel different this year and I think there’s definite reason to be optimistic if you’re a Phins fan.
Vikings look like they’re going to have a pretty decent offense this season. Teddy’s going to have some nice weapons to work with.
Have had AP for years but became a playoff team with Teddy – interesting what one guy did.
sorry — missed GDP already going there.
I truly believe this offense is going to average 24ppg this season and, if they do, we’re going 10-6. We only scored 17 pts or less in 9 games last season but this offense is so much different from what we’ve seen in the past in terms of where the ball is going on the field, who it’s going to, how many times we’re rushing the football and that’s why I’m expecting the offense to be that much more effective than it was last season.
Coupled with the fact that the offensive weapons we’ve got and 24ppg should be achievable
Drake playing in final preseason game definitely excludes him from the PUP
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero · 26s26 seconds ago
RB Kenyan Drake and CB Xavien Howard will play Thursday, per Adam Gase.
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero · 3m3 minutes ago
Isaiah Pead is going to be out at least two weeks, per Adam Gase. So that makes roster decision in him tougher.
Must be a crusher for him. Normally not a big deal, but this comes at a crucial time for him.
I’d still take him over Williams, especially if Drake looks fully healthy
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero · 42s42 seconds ago
Based on what I’m hearing, Xavien Howard will be starting vs. Seattle in the regular season opener.
That’s probably speculation, Armando can’t know that. Now it is likely true because no one else has played well enough to secure it while he had been out, but still i hate reports doing that crap. “Based on what I am hearing”, isn’t reporting, it’s speculating or opinionating
How is that not reporting? They talk to coaches, get the inside scoop, and tell the world.
Looks like Drake and Howard will play PS game 4. Looking forward to that. Looks like Pead might not get that last spot. May wind up being Williams. Pead going to be out first couple of games of the RS. I’m kinda hating then cutting Hazel, and really from what I saw from Whalen it’s kinda splitting hairs. Still it since it’s splitting hairs ya have to give way to coaches opinion over your own.
Lou, it wouldn’t prevent them from IR with designation, though if they only get one of those I bet they put it on Jordan. They could fully IR him though, if he doesn’t look health. Those kinda decision are going to really paint the final picture for the RBs
Lou, 24 is exactly what I put for my point avg projection
Stanger, I was talking about that shit from Kaepernick yesterday morning. It’s a disgusting display, no matter the excuse he gives. There is a way to make social statements, but thumbing you nose at this country shouldn’t be it. Get up off your ass, honor this country, and then use some of this massive amount of money you have earned as a citizen of this country, that provides the freedoms for you to be in this position, and do something good to make this situation better. What he did was a pussy action that didn’t require much effort in his part. People who are claiming he is bold and brave for this act don’t know real bravery. Man this world has devolved so far for people to be talking about Kaepernick like his MLK who really did sacrifice for his cause. Fuck this showboat society.
It was a BS move, even more so after I learned for the first time after that he had a white mother and then was raised by two white parents who adopted him. He could have just sent out a tweet, made a statement to a reporter or something.
I think it mostly came about for the same reasons why he has had problems with his coaches and won’t be starting……emotional.
Hell, he could have go dropped a million in an inner city program that organizes sit down with cops or social education programs that could benefit the community and police relationship
Lots of ways to do things, he chose a weak ass way to do it
I wish I had the means that these guys have I would make a big change or go broke trying
These athletes that use their work platform to give their perspective on social issues is wrong IMO, their league should reprimand them. Go on social media and talk all you want, just dont associate with your profession. I agree with some of the issues, but their vehicle is wrong.
It is at least wrong when you purposefully sit during the national anthem.
Son, I didn’t mean, Griese, he is from a completely different era of football and I have consistently said I don’t believe different eras of QBs can be completely compared. Strock sort of alike as well though I never thought he was a”great” QB. Still be is pretty much more comparable to Griese than Marino forward. im also too young to truly know those guys. I guess I should have left it at Marino forward because that’s really only one I have any business evaluating.
BTW way I feel about Griese is he was a great field coach. The dominated game I. The old school smash mouth football ways, not off the arm of the QB, Again hard to compare that kind of guy and a Marino type or even a modern QB like Pennington and Tanny
They dominated the game the old school way I meant
Osweiler looks good today, but they only kicked an FG on the last drive, so he’s not all that
Tannehill is #2 behind Marino when you look at physical skills, but when you look at overall skills, he ranks behind Griese, Morrall, Fiedler, Pennington. Give Fiedler or Pennington Tannehill’s arm and you have one great QB.
That should change this year though, he should be all alone at #2.
The AZ back catches the ball, takes 5 steps lunges forward to get the extra yard, and ball comes out as he hits the ground, incomplete. Review confirmed incomplete. What a bunch of BS, the rule needs to be fixed, back to 2 feet down = catch.
I would think lunging forward would constitute a football move. If the asshole didn’t call it incomplete there wouldn’t have been a challenge the other way. We had an incomplete similar to this overturned this preseason, and this one was a clearer catch.
Then right before the end of the half a Texan catches the ball on a deep sideline pass, ball isn’t secure, after securing it he gets one foot down, second foot is out of bounds, catch confirmed. I give up, these guys just make the shit up as they go.
Pretty interesting being a Bucs’ fan this year.
15 games back and third in the division.
0.5 games out of a playoff spot.
I was like WTF, then realized it was the Pirates😉
On Kaeppersniffer, if the liberal media wouldn’t make such a big deal about it, it wouldn’t mean anything.
I typed just Kaep😉
He’ll be out of football very soon. I give it less than a week.
Steve I don’t think he got that from coaches. Coaches haven’t been able to eval Howard officially. They also don’t know for sure he is 100%. Reports, if ya want to call them that these days have catch phrases they use to legitimize their reports when they are at best loosely associated with fact. You see it all the time with these guys. “A source close to the situation has told me” “Based on my observations”, etc. Why not say, conversations with the coaching staff says they are leaning towards Howard as the started. 1) that’s a lot more accurate IF he even has real info from coaches, which agai, I doubt anyone privately spoke with him to divulge this. He didn’t even fully commit to it so he could wiggle out of it later if it doesn’t happen. Mando doesn’t do it as much as Omar but this sinks of that kind of bullshit reporter tactic.
Steve,
Issue with the refs is more the rules than the refs. If the rules were defined better they couldn’t have the wiggle done on their “interpretation” of the rule. I also they need to start levying fines on the refs for getting it wrong, especially in game changing calls, so there is some sort of accountability for fucking the call up.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see. You can also say they do get inside info, so…
This last post should’ve been on the previous post.
I’m all about making things fair, I’m tired of the cheating, that’s why I hate hilary.
I like the fine idea, but it will never happen.
Damn I didn’t realize, Titan’s traded Green-Beckham already, and for a swing OL man, not even a decent draft pick.
Now Foster is jumping in. Fuck it cut the old man, keep Williams
Arian Foster on Kaepernick: ‘I understand 100 percent what he’s doing’ https://t.co/yjj6ukt9dA
OK after reading the article attached to the tweet, Foster did say he didn’t think he would take the same approach. That’s better. I actually agree with Foster, you do take a stand, i just really think his stand is from the wrong place when he has much better opportunity to do it otherwise
Man, I’m re-watching a bucs game and their entire receiving corps is retarded big. I don’t think any of their starters are sub 6’4….
D,
Jordan can stay on the NFI thru the first 6 games.
Oh, then maybe they can use it on Drake if he doesn’t look completely healthy.
D, Walker reported Howard and Drake to play game 4.

There are a dozen or so players on this team that are the key to a good season. Not #45 thru 53. Just saying! LOL
Why are you stating the obvious? Did someone say otherwise?
Yes! 😉
Luke Joeckel, 1st rd draft selection, pancaked by Atkins. Let’s not be so judgmental when it comes to Steen.
He’s mostly been a bust. I saw the play it was ugly.
Kansas City Chiefs
Cuts to 75: DB Bryce Cheek, DL Niko Davis, OL Curtis Feigt, CB Malcolm Jackson, WR Seantavius Jones, LB Jonathan Massaquoi, WR Kashif Moore, C Drew Nowak
Howard expected to start
Take it easy there, you already owe a few beers😉
New York Jets
Cuts to 75: OL Deion Barnes, DT Shelby Harris, DE Helva Matungulu, RB Lache Seastrunk, RB Terry Williams, WR Kyle Williams, TE Jason Vander Laan, K Ross Martin
Tennessee Titans
Cuts to 75:S Lamarcus Brutus, T William Campbell, WR Donte Foster, LB Amarlo Herrera, WR Reece Horn, LB Deiontrez Mount, CB Tyler Patmon, OL Nick Ritcher, DE Mike Smith, CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson. Additionally, the team waived (injured) C Andy Gallik.
Seastrunk….somewhere a Pig weeps.
I know it’s only preseason but there’s not a single offense I’ve really been that impressed with. Our O isn’t perfect right now but if you watch it compared to other teams executing their offenses in preseason we’re right about even with most of them.
I wouldn’t place too much emphasis on the negative right now. We’re moving the ball. The drops, tipped passes are things that get worked out.
FYI: If you’re watching the Jags/Bengals right now you’ll see what I mean. Jags ain’t lighting it up right now
I am and I’m seeing the Bengals doing whatever they want, running and passing.
You’re the one saying how great Steen is and how bad some of our other OL are, so maybe you should take your own advice.
Steen’s been solid thru three preseason games with a couple plays where he got pushed back but still hasn’t given up a sack. Not so with the others. Not even close.
You said John had a horrible game against Dallas, and you mentioned 1 sack, a batted ball, and a running play that Damien went against the direction of the play call, as the reason. Steen has a batted ball, gets pushed back on every other play and he’s been solid. You can’t evaluate with bias.
I guess the Snickers didn’t work
we’ll see what happens when the cuts are made who makes it on the o-line. fair enough?
Does the google doc autosave, or is there something I need to do? Stand on my head and drink a gallon of Tito’s Handmade Vodka?
Not sure about that but I like the Tito’s!
Me too. Thankfully it did autosave, there was no shot I was doing it again. Did you have any problems getting into Toba’s FF league? I still can’t get in, it says THERE WAS AN ERROR, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO VIEW THIS PAGE
Unlike the US govt docs, you try to cheat here and it’ll shut you down😉
Do we need to be right on with positions like RCB, LCB, etc in the final roster picks?
Not sure who’s doing the judging
We better not be, because the list of guys on the roster now isn’t very accurate.
I’ve said Steen is good enough, but he’s not replacing Pouncey. I’ve also said I liked Young, Urbik, and John, and you blasted them all.
why you taking it so personally? I see what I see. It’s my opinion.
Because you act like your opinion is word, just like you did when evaluating RT months ago.
I’m not evaluating with bias. I knew what Young was when he arrived because he’s been what he was with JAX for the past 3 seasons and he’s not done any better since getting to Miami.
I have no special interest in seeing someone not play well or fail. I don’t root for certain guys to make it and for others to be cut. We need help on the o-line. We need some solid depth and I don’t see it from the other guys we’ve been discussing.
I don’t see Steen getting pushed back on every other play. That’s a huge over-exaggeration and when I made that observation about John it was pretty much almost on consecutive plays; not just what may have happened during one game or over the course of him playing in two games. That’s pretty bad. He’s not been good.
and by the same token, I said we should have kept Donald Hawkins as a backup T and developed him and we decided to keep Fox instead, going with experience, and that didn’t work out too well. So, now Hawkins is with Carolina as the 2nd team T, playing both RT and LT, and he’s doing extremely well. Much better than anyone we’ve got on our 2nd team.
John had one bad play the sack, I don’t remember what happened on the play, the batted ball he stoned his man cold at the LOS, he can’t help it, if the QB throws right over his head from 10 yards away, a little different from Steens batted ball right in front of the QB.
like I said, the opinions of the coaching staff are the only one’s that matter when the roster gets cut down.
Never mind, just figured it out. The link wasn’t working, I went to join a league, and then have you been invited to a league, and then I put in the league ID and password.
Those FF sites aren’t done very well.
Ok, but just sayin, I didn’t have any trouble. Maybe that’s how it is for the defending champ!
You in the other hand i expect tek savvy. I told him if he could not figure it out to ask you to walk him through it
I always knew you were nit exactly a tekkie. 😎👍👍 well done
Jax coming in 0-2, you’d think they’d be taking this home game serious. With that said don’t believe their hype. They suck.
Tunsil better be ready week 4 Geno is an animal. Last time we played them he killed us, then went out with an injury, and Wake saved the day with a safety in OT.
Pussygate game 1
Steen has looked good I agree with Lou there, I don’t think he is anywhere near a replacement for pouncey though. I think he would be a great RG for us though when pouncey gets back. Steen is adjusting to OC and getting off the snap into an anchor, be had give a couple steps to set the anchor but he really isn’t getting driven back, he is giving ground to get his anchor. You want to see driven back check a handful of Thomas’ plays where he gets bent back and driven right back into Tanny. Steen so has the correct bit position, he isn’t bent back, his giving ground has been deliberate and it hasn’t been excessive.
This fucking new phone is auto correcting like crazy
We supposed to say Steen has correct body position
I never said he was a replacement for Pouncey either. All I ever said about Steen is that he seemed to be one guy who could give us depth on the o-line. Never even said he could be a starter at G. Just said he’s a guy who looks like he can give us some quality depth.
Tunsil for sure seems solid in pass pro, moving guys in run blocking I think he is still adjusting to. He does get to the second level pretty fast, seems to be more straight up run blocking assignments
Like to see the improvement in run blocking like we saw between last two games in Pass Pro. I know we won’t see it PS 4. Hoping latge improve vs Seattle
I agree. He’s still “developing” as a rookie! LOL
As an OG sure. 🙂
Lou those were my comments about Steen. I was saying I agree with you about his performance. I agree with Steve that he isn’t good enough to replace someone like pouncey and I personally think he should be an OG for us, and I think he would be better at RG than the guys we have currently. Hope that is a little clearer.
I don’t see Steen as playing better than Young, John, or Urbik. Together I’ve seen all of them play pretty good. The thing I see with Steen that may set him apart is his ability to make the calls. He seems to take charge. Urbik I see with most power to run block at guard. Young gets good push too, and is so long it’s tough to get by him.
What I don’t know is how anyone other than Steen plays against the ones.
Young isn’t even playing with the 2’s
D, Tunsil will pan out to be a great pick. Not that you’re saying he won’t. I’m just saying he’s a really talented guy – at 6-5 315 LG to start and LT in a couple of years… BOOM!!! 😉
I think we all see that. He gets a little out of position sometimes, but his feet are so quick that he makes up for it.
I’d like to see Wake vs Young to see how he handles the speed rush.
I think Young looks pretty solid too but I just feel Steen is a better fit. Young is a OT backup anyway. I don’t like what I have see of John at all, and Urbik I don’t think is better and he is less versatile.
If you go back and look at Young’s play in the 3rd and 4th qtr vs Atlanta I think you’ll find your answer.
I watched Young in the 2nd half, nothing jumped out at me. I’ll take another look
Tim I’m saying he is learning to play in the box, and doing well. The thing he us weakest at right now is something that’s the difference between playing OG, and what he is use to at LT
I get it, the learning curve. I think he’ll be a better future LT knowing what the LG does now.
Next 3 that get cut may include a surprise to done of us. I figured they would have already cut them by today if it was just a given. Maybe some of these injuries have made them rethink a few, maybe Williams for one, possibly DT3 too
Williams isn’t getting cut. You have Ajayi and Foster and then Williams is by far your next most valuable player at rb with his catching ability, his speed to the edge and his st’s play.
and don’t get me wrong. by no means do I think Williams is starter material. He’s a backup but he’s a valuable backup and st’s player. Can he be replaced? Sure. But, there’s nobody on this team right now that’s taking his job.
He does a lot of jobs.
I don’t think he ever picked up the gum wrappers though
