  1. Pead’s got a hammy. Phins could be keeping him around until he’s healthy enough to waive without a settlement.

Obama would rather see a person like Kaep do what he’s doing, instead of just sitting on the sideline, so instead of bringing it up in a different way he’s ok with this platform. What a deuche, so he’s ok with issues that divides the country brought up in sports. Yet he does nothing about the issue himself, except make things worse, just to keep the black vote.

  3. In his career, Pead has 19 att for 78 yds. in ’15 he had 2 att for 3yds and fumbled on 1 of them but he’s this great addition. LMFAO!!

  4. Phins fans always complaining we don’t develop our own guys and yet are willing to part ways with a young, developing player for someone who’s never shown any ability in the four years he’s been in the league and is injured AGAIN. Simply don’t understand the logic behind this.

    • D says:

Because Williams has never shown anything either in his 3 years.

      • D says:

It’s devil you know vs devil you don’t. Most of us here know Williams isn’t anything special, we haven’t been as closely involved with Pead so there is more hopeful optimism

  5. D says:

It’s nice seeing all the guys I liked that were part of the 53 cuts made their way back to the team on the PS. If you combined the guys on the PS with the one I put us down as keeping, I’d have 100% lol

    This is interesting

  7. D says:

Steve politicians are all pro dividing the country instead of uniting them. Dems in general use this tactic to place an us vs them game with their voting base. It’s sick because it’s destroying thus country for the sake of a selfish power struggle of an elite few who have not real attachment to what we suffer through on a daily basis.

    • Tim Knight says:

Well said. I’m so sick of it and a lot of people don’t even realize that it’s going on.

    • steveccnv says:

Couldn’t agree more, that’s why I’m anti politician. The phony stuff some of them do is beyond belief. A member of my family is in the navy, he said his ship was down in Haiti after the earthquake, and what Hilary did was so over the top despicable, not to mention if he had done 1% of what she did with the handling of docs he’d be in prison.

I asked, then why doesn’t anyone do anything about it, and he said they’re scared, those that have are dead.

  8. D says:

If that was over the span of past 10 years. Then that means 48/64 1st and 2nd rounders are still on teams, where as 48/256 UDFAs are still on teams. That makes things look really really different doesn’t it

  9. Tim Knight says:

It’s not about what Pead has done in the past, it’s what can he do in the present and future?

Look at a guy like Justin Forsett, he didn’t do much early on in his career and then has a career year with almost 1,300 yards in 2014. It happens.

    • D says:

I agree and I think what I saw in PS with Pead is a little of that coming out. I mean technically we are arguing the quality of the table scraps at this point but I just feel there is a higher ceiling and better skill set with Pead.

    • steveccnv says:

Come on Tim, we all know the only thing that matters are the stats. You are what your stats say you are 😉

A guy runs for 10 yards, but it’s called back for a holding call that had nothing to do with the play isn’t important as a guy that ran for 4 yards on a play he should’ve busted it for 60.

    • Tim,
One could argue Forsett is a one year wonder too because that one year is all he did. I guess we could make the same argument for Williams then. I saw what the kid did at OU and he’s got the ability. So, maybe he’s a late bloomer as well. All I know is you don’t take a kid who’s still got upside and has shown nice hands, nice ability to run after the catch and has been a major st’s contributor and cut him in favor of a guy who’s a huge ??? at this time.

  10. D,
Williams is only in his 3rd yr and is a young, developing player who HAS done things to help this team. We know what we’ve got with him and I don’t believe he’s hit his ceiling. People want to make all kinds of excuses for RT when it comes to the o-line but look at the run blocking for a guy who comes in to carry the ball once or twice a game and can’t even get back to the L.O.S.
I don’t know how anyone can say Pead’s got a higher ceiling when he’s been in the league four years and has shown shit. boggles the mind.

    • Tim Knight says:

Williams is a core STs guy who plays on all the units, he’s a very good receiver, word is he’s improved his blocking but he’s only and average runner, but that’s why he’s on the team. He can do a lot of jobs on game day and that’s important to coaches and that’s why he keeps making the team even with a new coaching staff.

      • steveccnv says:

I’d agree with that, but saying he’s an average runner I’d like to break that down further. He’s better than average running outside, on a scale of 1 -10 I’d say 7 with decent speed and good vision, running inside I’d say he’s a 2 with horrible vision being his only problem, unless he’s afraid to get hit by the uglies.

      • steveccnv says:

The only real problem with Williams is at times we need someone to run inside and no one last year could do that, so he didn’t compliment what we already had.

      • but that’s not on him. that’s on the fact that we didn’t have someone who could run inside. his best attribute is his speed to the corner. if you give him hole thru the line and he hits it he could be gone for a nice gain but the fact that the o-line can’t open holes for anyone is more of a problem than anything

      • steveccnv says:

Unless the hole is 9 feet wide Williams can’t run inside, which is very infrequent. When watching tape of Foster and Pead I see guys that setup the defender, then juke to create their own hole, Williams just runs up the gut maybe hesitates, but he doesn’t know how to create any space or find the hidden hole.

      • Pead has done nothing of the kind.

      • steveccnv says:

Go back and look at Pead’s long run in game 1. He’s also done it in the regular season with the Rams. He does less good things than Williams, but what he does the team needs.

  11. stangerx says:

Our new Samurai Justin Hunter is 6’4″. I could see a red zone scheme with him and Parker at wideout. And both Parker and Cameron are an inch taller. Might make some shortish dbs very worried.

  12. steveccnv says:

I hope Devante plays, even if he doesn’t do anything in the game, just to keep Sherman occupied.

  13. Yet, come Sunday, Williams will be active and playing st’s at least and Pead will be inactive shining the bench with his injured ass.

  14. stangerx says:

Guess we never had a chance on him anyhow. Given the contract, does make me wonder that the Pack knew and the Bears don’t. Dude just pretty much blew his chance at the next superbowl at least.

15 Rookies on Seahawks opening roster? 8 Draft Picks and 7 UDFA- I doubt that ever happened even in 2012
