  2. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I know you guys are all thinking the same….but I will be the one to say it.

Gase needs to be fired NOW.

Did you see how many points we left on the board (red zone was pathetic), all the penalties, how the Steelers scored late? Did you catch the couple stupid schemes on a couple plays too? And don’t get me started on the blocked field goal.

And Tunsil went out with heat cramps????…..he’s playing for the Phins. Time to burn the house down…….Ross are you listening?

  3. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

FFR__YOU may throw beer(s) at televisions. But I prefer to DRINK BEERS rather than throw them! And you can bet yer ass I would NOT waste a good Colorado Kool-Aid on Steve Ross’s ugly mug!! (ESPECIALLY IF I PAID ROSS’s PRICES FOR BEER!)

AHHH my first Coor’s Light of the day is gonna taste GREAT!!

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

OD — put your tix for the Fest game up for the big money and join us in the nosebleeds.

You have time. Ryan will help. Just makes sense (DRG ain;t coming), and got one or two for you on the cheap.

  4. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    stanger

you rant was dumb. everyone knows if you are going to have a serious hate felt rant about the fins you have to include the qb or every one knows you are just bsing

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

LMAO — did I forget to mention that Tanny missed that TE on that one play so bad……he’s gotta go. And his wife is too thin. 🙂

  5. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

From James Walker: “The Dolphins pick up their most impressive win of the season by beating the Steelers, 30-15.”

Well, the only OTHER win was 30-24 OT vs Browns. So, yeah, any non-OT win would be “most impressive…of the season”. 🙂

  6. herdfan's avatar herdfan says:

I hope Howie decided to watch.

  7. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Having a healthy OL does make a difference

  8. Rockphin's avatar Rockphin says:

Howie is not allowed to watch the Dolphins anymore.

  9. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I saw more 2 TE running formations than I’ve seen in awhile. Was I imagining it? Lots of misdirection running plays. It sure would be nice to see them commit to this going forward.

  10. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Well I saw something I didn’t anticipate I would ever see again – another Dolphins win this season

  11. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Excellent team win today. Lots of mistakes were overcome but we made big plays all day.

Ajayi gets the game ball. 🙂

  12. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

This is the best I’ve felt at 4PM on a Sunday since the season began

  13. Ken's avatar Ken says:

So committing to the run game does matter

  14. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I am enjoying it Tim. I just keep thinking can we do something like this every week for the rest of the season.

  15. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We could of blown the Steelers out today sans a few bad penalties and dropped TDs. We were the better team today by far.

  16. 81Howie's avatar 81Howie says:

    GET THE FUCK OUTA HERE!
    How did this possibly happen?
    MikeE
    ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!!!

  17. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    Ajayi gets the game ball.

    or the entire o line

  18. D's avatar D says:

I know OL played better and I know that Tanny played better. We had better play calling, stuck to the run, all around better.

Still a little skeptical and a little concerned that it takes 100 % healthy unit to beat a so so defense. We gotta have some depth so we can sustain this kind of play.

I’m more impressed defensively because this offense is high octane. I know big rape was out, but still the defense bounced back from a shaky start to play pretty solid.

We need to play like this the rest of the season, and win or lose, that will be something to hang on to for next year.

Proud of our team, solid play both sides, really loved what Ajay did. Every time he carried the ball even in previous games he looks explosive and powerful.

Amazing how dead the board is though……think everyone is freaked out.

it is always dead right after a game. it usally picks up a few hours from now. but like your wife always says……fucking premature once again

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

You actually think if the score was reversed that this place wouldn’t be blowing up right now.?

And btw — the premature days are long over. There are at least some advantages of getting older.

  20. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Well, the only half this year I didn’t want to miss…I missed. Glad to see that not only did we beat them, we beat them with Big Rapey playing the second half. Amazing how much better this team looks with a solid OL. Next week is the big test and I hope everyone has a blast down there too. Maybe Fest luck will bring a much deserved ass whipping to the Ryan Bros.

  21. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

wow carolina is 1-5 good damn thing they have one of those elite all world qbs

  22. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Offensive player of the week candidates:
    Ajayi
    Beckham
    Brees

  23. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

This projected starting 5 OL despite James’ struggles is real. This is the offense I envisioned for this team. Not 200+ rushing yards for Ajayi, but a solid running game. The defense played very well today as did the STs despite missed kicks. Franks has some work to do.

    • manitobafinfan's avatar manitobafinfan says:

We overcame one unit not pulling their weight. Good solid 60 mins. Most games even if one unit is off we lose.

  24. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    D

We kinda forced them to become one dimensional, much like we’ve been a lot of the season

It’s supposed to be in the high 80’s here in NJ this coming week. Any idea what the weather is in your area this week?

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Mike E — I don;t even check the weather anymore. Unless they are calling the storm things it doesn’t really matter. This time of year will be like 78-84 during the day and early to mid 70’s at night.

And it very well might rain, but that is something you can’t call till like a couple days before, even if then. Sometimes it rains buckets like a flash flood twenty miles away while we are dry as a bone….and other way around.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I hear ya. I understand. Just hoping for some nice weather this week, would love to relax a lil on the beach and unwind. Work has been a biatch lately, I really need it. My wife too, she’s been getting hammered lately with work too, this is good timing to escape

  43. D's avatar D says:

This win was a breath of fresh. However, lol, reality is its one game. I want to see more, luckily we have enough of a season left we get a chance to see if there will be more.

We had this OL, minus Pouncey for first three games, so either it’s time to say Pouncey us the obvious leader of the OL, or we still have a while before we think they are past their instability.

Also let’s hope they all stay healthy because I don’t think Young is going to be able to replace BA with any sort of a chance to be equivalent. Maybe they would move Tunsil back out and put Steen in at LG where he played in college.

Still feels like we should take a shot at a top FA OG, and maybe draft another kinda high. When our depth is not far off out starters, that’s when we are going to feel our OL is great.

  44. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    ken,

nope and have told you for the last year. the door is unlocked if you want to leave all you have to do is push it open.

The energy and effort was there all game. It manifested as stupid penalties early on, but you could see the players where giving everything, they just needed to do it smarter.

    Tanny looked great.
    oline looked great.
    Maxwell played excellent.
Ben is the 3rd QB we’ve damaged this year.
Franks needs to get these FGs inside the 10 higher. The block was all on him. The defender could have not jumped and still gotten the block. That’s two inside the 10.
    Darr is Fields 2.0.

Good to see ya man, er ape! O-line was MVP, got Ajayi going, Tannehill looked comfortable for the 1st time all year, and both made the O-line look even better. That was great to see! Also made the defense much better, they weren’t on the field all day, although just like Solomon Wilcots said, sometimes that’s they’re own doing, because they can’t make a stop.

Damn I was wrong. I really though Pitt was going to manhandle us today.

  81. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Who’s the super genius that said this? LOL

We simply need to run the football. We have 2 young backs who would love a nice workload, and we should give it to them. Heck, we have an old RB that would love to get a lot of carries, and revive his career, and show the NFL he can still play. Play the game like teams who don’t ask their QB to win games. The Denver Broncos are one team like that, and the Houston Texans are another. Both teams have over 500 yards rushing at this point, and neither team relies heavily on their QB’s, Trevor Siemian for Denver and Brock Osweiler for Houston. Both teams have better defenses than we do, but if we ran the ball, and granted, you have to run effectively. I think if you make a commitment to run, odds are you will have success. If we can start running the ball 25-30 times a game, I think the defense will be better, and I think Ryan Tannehill will be better too. Ryan Tannehill won’t be Aaron Rodgers, and our defense won’t be Denver’s defense either , but the team would likely be more effective with that approach.

  82. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    mike

i agree, i am just sick and tired of all the nfl darlings like the hags and cheats getting these obvious bs calls.

  83. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I have to tell you, I thought they were going to a late hit on the Falcons on the last scoring drive for the Seahawks. Wilson got hit after he threw and was knocked down, I was totally expecting a flag. It was pretty close to being a late hit.

Only good part is if some fool trys to take it out of there like one of our guys thought about weeks back.
    Put Grant on punts

I don’t have my heart behind a team, but it would be cool if either the Cubs or Indians won

  95. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    herd,

i am so sorry. that was kind of who i was pulling for, which means they are doomed. and mike, so sorry for you too that was probably the second team i would pull for.

So… for a shuttle from La Quinta to game and back we have.
    Brian (1)
    Son (4)
    Toba (2)
    Bookman (1)
Anyone else Rock ? Piggy? Hulk? Markeyh? Al?
Please Confirm or adjust #’s for me to book. Looks like will be a short bus 🚌. Should be about 20.00 each return trip
    ————————–
Toba — to the game stuff is one I am leaving on you guys, but will tell you what I know.

Will be at La Quinta. (like you said)
Brian (1) (least pretty sure…will be here just not sure where)
    Son (4)
    Toba (2)
    Bookman (1)

Pretty sure Pig will be too. Rock has said he might be. (DRG is out).

Al and his bro as well as markeyh am not sure of, but even if they don’t stay might be in for transport to the game..

Hulk and me will be with Chef Warren early setting up the tailgate before ya’lll show up.

Mike E and his lovely have a car that can take three more (although he might have got folks into those). He is not staying at La Quinta but says could stop to pick up.

Phindog, wife and big pup are not staying at La Quinta, but will not be too far away. Not sure what their plans are for game travel but you would know better than me.

Would be awesome if you figure out this aspect of it, even if with the other folks. Either Ken or I can get you contact info for everyone.

And not throwing this on you so much, as saying up to you guys to figure out for yourselves.

Stanger: wasnt trying to push onto you either, was just asking if you could copy that onto any agenda posts ya put up this week and i will monitor and arrange said transportation.. The Phindog trio are jumping in with Mike E. As they are staying a block away from each other.

“The Phindog trio are jumping in with Mike E”……that helps me understand.

So seems we are down to Piggy and Rock as well as (less likely) Markeyh and Al from La Quinta.

Will add in the info going forward. You have a deadline on it?

  98. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    stanger,

dont worry about that. by looking at that list i doubt that will be the first time some of them have been on the short bus

I already have 3 passengers, a few canines, if you follow. We will come by the La Quinta and be part of the caravan though
