We will need to play a nearly perfect game today to win. 160 yards+ rushing, win the turnover battle by at least 2, no critical turnovers from our team, and limit the big 3 on the Steelers. Pass rush HAS to be at it’s best this season or Big Ben will pick us apart. Look out for LaDarius Green if he plays- he’s a nightmare matchup for our D.
I think you’re giving the Steelers a little too much credit Bri. They’re not a juggernaut, they’re a good team, with a so-so defense. Much like ours, you never know which defense will show up, or IF it will show up.. If we execute our game plan, we can beat them.

Their defense has been playing MUCH better during the last six games. They have been getting a lot of pressure on the QB, and have gotten players back from injury and and getting healthier (Shazier and Dupree), while we are sustaining more injuries . It just seems that we are going in opposite directions. 3/4 of our starting DB’s ante out as well as 2/3 of our subpar starting LBs. I hope I’m wrong, but I just can’t see us winning this game unless everything goes right for us.
Their D is not that good. I am not saying ours is but theirs is nothing special

One of the analysts on the NFL net had a great point about Bell. With the way he way he sidles and waits for holes to open up……you have to attack him and penetrate, stop him from laying back. Seems Suh is the man to force the middle of the line and bring the action to Le’veon.
You know what Stanger, I was listening to NFL radio, and they said that’s precisely the problem for the Dolphins against Bell. Best way to defend against Bell is not to get penetration upfield, but to stay in your lane and clog all the cutback opportunities. They actually said Suh getting upfield leaves a hole, it would be better if he just stayed there and clogged the running lanes. It was pretty interesting.
Unless of course Suh gets to Bell , and actually brings him down, then that’s another story
Guess that means that NFL on TV and Radio is just like this board…..every one has an opinion, but not always the right answer. But Bell is just so different. He’s waiting for holes that open up two seconds after whatever a typical back looks for. Maybe the answer is turn Suh loose in the middle and have everyone else fill the lanes.
And maybe Suh can just make Bell choose his burst before he otherwise would instead of actually tacking him down. Almost like making a QB throw before he wanted too

Actually checked out the stub hub prices on the game just for fun (and this was before the real cold weather forecasts)……tickets were not all that expensive. They weren’t cheap, but this is the playoffs.
Not sure if that meant that prices aren’t as bad in Pittsburgh or if their fans are just taking this game for granted.
Should have added — prices were actually less than for Steelers fans seeing the regular season game at the Rock.
