A healthy Jay Ajayi/Kenyan Drake combo could be a great combo, but unfortunately, there are now concussion concerns with our star RB. What happens if Jay Ajayi is out for a prolonged period of time? Do the Dolphins have enough talent in their backfield w/o Ajayi to make a playoff run? Let’s take a look . . .
At Alabama, Kenyan Drake was never “the man”, and was always 2nd fiddle to big back Derrick Henry. Drake had the talent, and was thought to be the guy, but nagging injuries always stole the opportunity for him. In his Sophomore year in 2013, Drake had a nice season, carrying (his high) 92 carries for 694 yards, an impressive 7.5 YPC, along with 8 rushing TD’s. Drake also caught 12 passes for 135 yards and 1 TD. In his entire college career, spanning 4 seasons, Drake had a total of 1495 yards rushing. That’s good and bad. Bad, because he was never asked to carry the load, and good, because he should have a lot more miles left on what should be fresh legs.
Last season as a Miami Dolphins RB, Drake was used sparingly, carrying the ball only 33 times for 179 yards with 2 rushing TD’s. Drake also caught 9 passes for 46 yards. In comparison, Ajayi had 260 carries, so Drake was just in to spell Ajayi, no more than that. The Dolphins also have Damien Williams, who was used in a few different capacities, as a FB, and also as a solid receiver out of the backfield. Williams actually had 2 more carries than Drake, 35 for 115 yards and 3 rushing TD’s. Williams added 23 receptions for 249 yards and 3 TD’s. We also have Storm Johnson, who is on his 3rd team in 3 years, taking the full FLA tour, playing for the Jaguars, Bucs, and now Dolphins. Also on the roster is Senorise Perry and De’veon Smith. De’Veon is probably the only other back here with a fair amount of carries, although in college, at Michigan. De”veon Smith finished his career at Michigan with 495 carries and 2235 yards, 22 TD’s, and a 4.5 YPC.
There was a report that the Dolphins may be interested in well traveled RB DeAngelo Williams, who was a long time Carolina Panthers, and then Pittsburgh Steelers RB. Williams, now 34, can’t be expected to carry the load Ajayi did last year, or more importantly, was expected to carry this year. Williams had less than 100 carries last year, and shouldn’t be expected for much more than that. The Dolphins really need Ajayi, and then we need to pray that he doesn’t have any concussion issues. You can always find a running back to help out, but it’s not likely to find one that can give you what Ajayi gave us last year, or was hoped to give us this year.
Do you think we’ll be OK?
Go Dolphins! Zero in!

I really think if we need to bring in a QB Kaep is our best option, you don’t have to give up anything for him however with the Cuban population in Miami the Castro thing looms large and for that reason if we do bring in another QB i doubt it will be kaep, Ross may think it would hurt his brand in miami.
With our receivers you’d be doing them a big disservice, Kaep is erratic at best.
IMHO he’s the best available without giving up future picks
on the other hand winning cures all!

Dolphins fear Ryan Tannehill will need season-ending knee surgery, but no decision on it has been made, sources tell @JeffDarlington and me.
———
Svucks
Yeah he should’ve had surgery back in december, what a huge mistake!
He wouldn’t have been ready for this season if he had the surgery last year. Maybe the last quarter of the season. He went down on Dec. 11 last year – 9-12 month rehab.
The injury is what sucked, not how it was handled. They tried and it was looking good for awhile. By the way, how he got hurt last year will now be enforced this year. No defender can target the QBs knee area in the pocket. But it can still happen, it’s just not legal. Tough game.
kaep is better than moore
I’ve been TRYING to prevail hope and with a “glass half-full” mentality for y’all… but it’s possible that Tannehill is in serious trouble. 😦
Do NOT underestimate the power of Matt Moore, good peeps. I’m audi for the night.
if Moore wins the job so be it but who is his back-up??
http://larrybrownsports.com/football/report-ryan-tannehill-may-need-season-ending-surgery/386072
Cutler is another moore with a stronger arm, Pittsburgh man handled moore last year, osweiler has a 6 inch defect between his ears and would cost a pick and big money.
Kaep is 6’4″ 230lbs amd runs like a deer, maybe gase can do some whispering to him to bring up his accuracy. from where i sit he looks as the best option.
Hell I’d rather have RGIII than the KeaperSniffer!
If and only if there is a seeious injury to RT would i consider any of the names being passed around, and only as a back up to Moore at this point … cutler would be my last choice , hes a moody petulant little prick and is not that good of a QB. Kaepernick ? Not thrilled with that idea either but better choice player wise than Cutler, my wife would love it!!! May be that push she needs to be a full fledged Fin Fan.. Keenum i will admit i dont know a ton about but have heard his name bandied about, mostly i think by M13… if he is /can be a decent QB then he prolly makes the most sense as he could become our next Moore. a cheap longterm back up who can win some games if pressed into duty If Moore decides hes done after this year, i believe he’s getting up there in years.. just my .02🤔
Mike: as for the RB article, nicely done as usghe.. i like the stable we have with Ajayi being lead dog … if he is suddenly prone to being concussed i am good with what Drake and Williams bring to the table, not often you have to go that deep in a season but id feel comfy with another RB brought in if Ajayi is not going to be a large part.. id say talk to Jags about Ivory, or their other guy whos name escapes me but seems to becoming a forgotten man there
TJ Yeldon now that they have Fournette
NFL Radio saying it’s nearly certain that Tannehill will have season ending surgery, but he’s getting 2nd and 3rd opinions. He may decide to rest for 6-8 weeks and see how it is, but more likely will do surgery.
For those of you that love Moore, which I can understand, you have to realize the cupboard is bare behind Moore, so you have to bring another QB in. The guys in the locker room want to win, and they’ll deal with whoever we bring in as long as we have a chance to win. Whether that’s Cutler, Osweiler or Kaepernick, or someone else, these guys want to win, and understand the situation.
Late yesterday it seemed as though Tanny would NOT be out for the season. NOW, today, the opposite may be true. Let’s send Tannehill a dose of the Old Dolfan’s luck and hope that he avoids surgery as I did at the last moment. He deserves a bit of good luck. THE FANS deserve a bit of GOOD LUCK, too! It’s hard to believe we’ve already had injuries to our two most important players!!!
Good morning OD – I don’t think we’re dodging this bullet. I think even if he waits the 6-8 weeks, it’s just a short matter of time before he’s down and out for the season. Really unfortunate, but it’s a physical sport, and he won’t be able to hold up without repairing that knee.
the sad part is this should have been done last december
Same net result for the team though. He would be out for most of the season if not all of it anyway. He’ll be fine for next season. We just would have had more time to plan on our QB depth chart.
it takes 6 to 9 months to recover from that surgery, he would now be in his 8th month post surgery.
Right, but you don’t go straight from recovery to the football field.
i researched it and this is what i came up with
_________________________________
It takes 11 months, on average, for an NFL player to return to play after anterior cruciate ligament surgery
if i had a partial tear of a ligament in my knee and the doctors told me it would not reattach without surgery i would have it done right away, and i dont play football for a living.
at this point he might as well wait and rehab the 6 to 8 weeks to see if he could return this year, no point in going under the knife now.
If they determine his knee is unstable, he should have the surgery now. Stability won’t improve, so no point in delaying either.
i agree now, in 11 months it will be july again so he better get it done now.
what happens if we do get a veteran to come in and he plays lights out, he may take tannys job as was the case in dallas
It was a little different in Dallas since Romo was 36. Tannehill will only be 30
I was talking with buddy from old neighborhood who is Cuban and he told me Cuban people which amounts to about 50-70 in South Florida would quit being fans of fins if Kaup was to be signed and they would boycott everyone of the official sponsors of the team. He thought it would be a good idea to stay with Moore and the backup qb Marino personally recommended. This is the guy who I would see daily working out with several other players at American Heritate HS. Now, who was the QB that played and had a great career who started on practice squad.
Winning cures all.
I don’t know if winning all their games the next 10 years can improve relations with a Cuban community that is very loyal. Getting a gut punch like this is very breath taking for anyone.
Personally I think they should stick with what they have and go with the kid marino thought was good enough. He knows the system already and he has 1 yr of working with it. Tanny contract is minumum next year so we can see how he progresses plus we might have a good chance of picking up QB from next years draft rich QB class which will give the fins more cap money since he will be getting rookie 5 yr contract.
I’m getting on the Kaep bandwagon. I think Gase can do wonders with him. His run pass option will be RG3ish
Look what Gase did for Tebow, who has no accuracy.
i’m definitely on the kaep bandwagon
Kaep runs like my Chevelle
I’ll take Kaep. He nearly beat this team last year…remember? Almost 300 yds and 3 tds with over 100 yds on the ground.

Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Compares RAVENS Owner to Slave Owner…

Great! Is Kap’s girlfriend related to Miko Grimes?
Have to learn about my amphibians……didn’t even realize the tortoise was a female. 🙂
LOL
OMG, right, like Ozzie would put up with that all these years. We know why she made that comment. She will make the same about Ross if we don’t sign him.
Cutler won’t come out of the booth/retirement to be a backup. Would not mind Kaepersniffer but his comments about castro would cause a lot of backlash in SF. Plus, he would probably want to much $$ for a backup as someone already noted. Maybe not. I don’t know this really sucks. They should have done surgery back in Dec.
Jeff DarlingtonVerified@JeffDarlington
Here’s where it gets interesting: I’m told Cutler is interested in delaying TV gig to play for Gase but it’d need to be starting job/money.
4:23 PM – 3 Aug 2017
I’ll take Moore..thank you. Would take a cheap Kaep first too. Cutlass is a punk.
Part of how Gase got our HC job is what he did for Cutler as his OC though. Obviously Cutler’s price would be the highest, but it would also only be for one year.
My father in law always fuxks up players’ names. called Peyton – Teyton; calls Cutler – Cutlass; and Kaepernick – Pepperdick. Too many others to mention. It rubs off. He calls a dvd player a VD player, WIFi is HiFi, and Alexa is Lexis – she never answers him. I honestly don’t think he does any of it on purpose…running joke in our family.
Seems the three main vet names out there are if Tanny goes the surgery route are Kaep, Cutler, and RG3. But don’t read as much about Griffin. Know he got injured, but is something else up with him?
OMG, right, like Ozzie would put up with that all these years.
———————————————————————————–
Now that brings back memories—–remember the marlins coach Ozzie who was suspended 5 games because of his remarks – the South Florida cuban almost brought down the marlins franchise to where the owner had to act to save it. This may be worse with someone who isn’t in the organization right now and they bring him in knowing his bad castro situation already.
LOL, I just said the same thing below, jetssuck! I owe ya a beer! 🙂

100% agreed, Brother. And being Ross already went through it once before with Miko Grimes, I highly doubt he’s ready for another dose of BS with Kap and his girlfriend.
The whole Castro t-shirt fiasco sealed the deal for Kap never playing in South Florida. And speaking of Ozzie’s… remember when Ozzie Guillen spoke highly of Castro a few years back? He ended up getting suspended for 5 games and he alienated the Marlins fanbase. The Marlins lost a TON of money over that matter.
Kap is not welcome in Miami… it’s never going to happen.
If Gase wants it think it will still happen, but sorta ironic that of the reasons Kaep does not come to Miami the kneeling the country was fixated on might come in at #3 after a Castro T-shirt and one MIko Grimes.
What could possibly go wrong what with 3 major red flags, right?!! LOL
are you originally from south florida?
I also failed to mention that Armando has MAJOR, MAJOR beef with Kap.
I remember the attendance at games were less than 1000 and was dropping every game. The sport casters were counting how many were in attendance. That was a powerful message.

Not sure why mando keeps saying tanny will miss significant time no matter what. I’ve heard no one knows it could be 2 weeks or it could be surgery and out for season.

Moore is the best prepared guy right now to run this team. Regardless, we need much better depth, and honestly, I’d like it to be a starting caliber QB. Kaep could be the cheapest option. You get a player for your team that helps you win. He didn’t say he hates Cuban people, he just said Castro did some good things, and pointed out specifically those things. He is definitely a polarizing figure, there is no question about that, or else he would be currently employed. It would be controversial, but I’m for winning. He’s a saint compared to some of the thugs and murderers that have helped other teams win, so I’m personally not worried about it in the least.
I’m not Cuban, but I am a native Floridian. I’m also a retired Marine with many ties to the law enforcement community. I just emailed my season ticket team rep and told him if they sign Kaepernick I was one and done as a season ticket holder and done as a Miami fan after 47 years.
Guessing yours wasn’t the only e-mail sent to the Phins about that today. And all Kaep had to do was not where a frick’n T-shirt or at least not cop an attitude about it after. Only so many teams in the NFL.
Hey – Guess what!!!! There are DOLPHINS FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!!
It’s not just the South Florida Community that needs to be appeased! If the Dolphins had to rely only on the South Florida community for support, they would be in LA right now.
They will be in LA Sept 17th Silly !!
LOL–maybe scouting for new location..
I guess the Dolphins orgANIZATION would have to consider how much of the S.Florida base they would lose and what sponsors they would lose since they pay for official sponsorship of Dolphin organization. The sponsors will have to consider the lost sales also. Merchandise sales would probably be affected with stores possibly taking dolphin merchandise off of shelves. Like someone told me once everything has consequences.
I have seen my fair share of people in Dolphin gear here in Punta Cana
Another thing that will bother me about signing Kaepernick is it will always be about him and not the team. Not into that as a fan.
Another thing about not addressing the QB position (Kaepernick or otherwise) is LOSING. Not into that as a fan either.
So you think he’s the key to us winning? I do not.
Getting another capable QB in here could be the key to winning, especially if Moore isn’t playing well or gets hurt.
Hey you know Stephen Ross, that NYer, he’s not loyal to FLA anyway, maybe he’ll move the team to NY, who knows?
Season ticket holder right here if he does but I am not holding my breath on that one
One thing I got about Ross is that he does not like controversy……thankfully that also means he is not the guy to be the next Irsay. But heck — the Phins are his hobby rather than his business.
He’s from South Florida and he has a lot of money invested in Stadium and community.
I believe Nat Moore is VP of community relations. Moore is from UF and Ross is a 1 drop out of UF. Moore might have more say than others if its in any way a consideration of signing Kaep.
I am okay with Moore at QB. My expectations are lowered a little bit but I still think we can be good. I like the idea of bringing in Kaep for depth/competition to Moore. I would be disappointed if we made a trade for a QB
So now he’s from South Florida? How many years did we have to hear about the clueless NYer? LOL.
+1
Yes, Ross is from S.Florida…
You’re confirmation of this is only 9 years late, but it’s never too late . . .
The possibilities are endless
lol….thats Rapoport’s way of saying…..I’m the guy who gets the inside scoop, but got no scoop.
It’s taken quite some time to build the positive culture we currently have in place. Steve Ross has finally learned from his many, many miserable failures of the past. I’m actually HAPPY that Ross is our owner now.
If one would like to see just how quickly we can destroy this franchise, go ahead and sign Kaepernick and his wife. We’ll be making the front page for all the wrong reasons. We’ll become a late-night punchline once again. We’ll be scrutinized like we were in the BullyGate days. The country will tune in briefly just to see if Kap is sitting for the National Anthem.
Why is he still unsigned? Because NOBODY wants to go through what we’ve just gone through over the last half of a decade… from Brandon Marshall making headlines for a stabbing involving his wife and his mental issues, to ‘Ross-1’ getting turned away by another HC, to Johnelle Martin and Richie Incognito in BullyGate, to Miko Grimes making headlines in trying to undermine the whole team.
NO MORE CIRCUSES. We’re finally becoming one of the more respectable franchises in all of sports again.
One has to ask yourselves just what would a franchise like NE or Pittsbugh do without all the other bad things considered.
Great post MF13. One of your best!!

Thoughts on Ryan Tannehill from @ProFootballDoc, who recommends reconstructive knee surgery:
http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/profootballdoc/sd-sp-pfd-tannehill-should-have-surgery-0804-story.html
Good read. This parallels some other recent reads. It would seem logical for Tannehill to have surgery and end this now before it becomes a very serious, career-threatening matter.
Little depressing actually……but can’t blame Tanny for getting a bunch of opinions before he decides. I’m betting we read that Tanny is on the plane to see that one specialist in Alabama sometime soon.
you think not many teams would want him without the surgery for his next contract. His cap hit would be ideal for team next year to pursue other avenues also. Mean business but everyone knows it’s a business. He might have to play a “prove it” contract with a minumum if he wants to play in NFL ever again.. He’s a smart kid and wants to pursue a medical career so he’s set with money he saved to pay for a medical career.
The New England Patriots could sign Kaepernick in a second, and no one would say a thing, because the Patriots are beyond reproach at this point, due to their dynasty status. I get all the issues that come along with Kaep if he were to come here. It’s just not fair, I’ve wanted him to be on this team for so long (before he lost his mind), and now we could really use him, and he’s available (because he lost his mind), and now we can’t touch him. You have no idea how frustrating this is! lol
It ain’t over yet. Our new god is pondering the whole situation…even if the answer could be Cutler, Moore or RG3 instead of Kaep.
really… LOL you should do some research about what many cubans suffered from castro’s regime. These are real stories of people who had everything they owned taken from them. Thousands upon thousands have died in the oceans trying to escape Castro’s regime. They came here with nothing but they wanted to be free,it took 4-5 decades to regain their economic status in a new community and nation. These people have suffered a lot and to think sports team loyality is more important than a community who suffered what these people have suffered is living in a another delusional stratosphere When Castro died the town took to the streets with pots and pans celebrating his death and by by some estimates there were more people in the street than calle oucho (sic)
^^^
^^^ What does any of what you said have to do with my post?
NE has proven they would not do that several times by going with what they had on roster. I think they even did that last year with a third string QB. They coached up these people and I believe several years ago they got a first rounder with trade and the player was not what many thought he was…Can anyone say coaching.
We need to have a streak of good fortune at the QB position OR at the OL position so we can run the ball 35 times a game. lol and 😦
I think they should draft every year a OL in the 1st or second round. Rookie contracts end and we have another good OL waiting to prove himself for that second contract.
Brady on Gisele’s report of his concussion last year when facing reporters for the first time since. Just a bit defensive about it……and no denial either. You think she doesn’t read stories about CTE?
“You know I don’t want to get into things that happened in my past, certainly medical history and so forth. I really don’t think that’s anybody’s business, you know, what happened last year. I’m focused on this year and improvement and working on things I need to get better at.”
So we’ve got roughly $15.7M in cap space right now and we want to re-sign Jarvis Landry. Ted Larsen has a biceps injury and is going to miss some time into the regular season. We’re just waiting for Mike Pouncey to go down again. Camp is not yet over and I’m sure we’re going to see someone else get injured (let’s hope not). And I’m certain (as we have in the past) we intended to roll some cap space over to next year.
Enter the injury to Ryan Tannehill. I’m going on logic and will now assume he’s going to need surgery: lost for the year. What do we do?
A) Matt Moore is our starter and Brandon Doughty is our backup [keeping our $15.7M for other important matters (ie: Jarvis Landry)]
B) Trade for another QB (starter or backup to Moore… mind our money and what we’re trading away)
C) Sign a FA QB (starter or backup to Moore… mind our money)
Option “A” is self-explanatory. Option “B” is something I’d only do for a cheaper, backup QB (minding our money)… I’m not making a blockbuster deal with our money situation, knowing Tannehill will be back next year. Option “C” is where most are going, so here’s my $.02…
Kaepernick- OUT (South Florida nightmare)
Cutler- OUT (he wants to be the starter and get PAID starter $$$… and we only have $15.7M to spend)
RG3- POSSIBLY (he won’t break the bank and fits our Offense… but is he healthy?)
Shaun Hill- MEH
Thaddeus Lewis- MEH
Zach Mettenberger- POSSIBLY (cheap, plus Ken and I have always liked him since his LSU days)
Aaron Murray- POSSIBLY (cheap, plus Gase could make him into a SOLID QB. Good talent)
I’d additionally offer the following option…
D) Wait for the Vikings to cut either of Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Bradford, or Case Keenum. Keenum is the likely cut here, and he’ll cost a song (roughly $1M/per).
Now some will say, “there goes M13 about his boy Casey Kasem again!”, LOL. Hey, he checks ALL the boxes for us (and has for some time): fits our Offense scheme, will come cheap, has been the starter for two different NFL teams (Texans and Rams), sent Andre Johnson to the Pro-Bowl in 2013, plays with a HUGE chip on his shoulder, he’s a 4.0 GPA grad of Houston, student of the game, and he’s as clean a character as there is in the league.
To me, we want a price-friendly, capable, high-quality, former starting QB in here to compete with and push Matt Moore. Thus, my top options would be RG3 (if healthy) and Keenum. Coming in behind them would be Mettenberger and Murray. That is, IF we make any move (see option “A” above) at all.
If Moore can play like he did at the end of last season, we’ll be fine. He ran our offense quite well. But, he’s gotta play within himself and not try to be a gunslinger sort of QB. He gets in trouble when he tries to just wing it. If our OL can protect him…yes, I know that’s still a concern….he can get points out of this offense. I would definitely not start giving away assets in a trade. I think that would be short-sighted.
***
And I’m bummed for Tanny. The kid has worked really hard and done all he could to be our starter. This has got to be frustrating as hell.
A) Matt Moore is our starter and Brandon Doughty is our backup [keeping our $15.7M for other important matters (ie: Jarvis Landry)]
———————————————————————
I like this more than the other options.Moore has always played well in past situations like this also. Imagine Doughty might be real upset if they get another QB like they did last year. He knows the system very well by now so mental mistakes would not be a issue.
It will be interesting to see what we end up doing. I’d be cool with “option A”.
I don’t want the franchise giving away draft picks like they did several years ago. I can remember the second round was non existent for us for years. I believe we can be good with moore and this will be a good proving point for the type of coach Gase is.
AMEN!!!

NE does what’s best for their team over and over and over again. They don’t worry about what the media might think, if they think a particular player will help them, they get them. They only played with their 3rd string QB for a very short time while Garoppolo was injured. They had Brady coming back, after 4 games, so spare me the NE is above that kind of thing garbage.
Who has NE signed in the Belicheat* years that is a lightning rod? Maybe Randy Moss, who is one of the greatest WRs to have ever played the game. And Moss doesn’t even come CLOSE to the likes of what we’re discussing here.
Didn’t they play the second string QB when brady was out for the whole year. I believe that was the year we also won the division with tie breaker going to us. Bledso situation was the same where they didn’t try to better themselves when they had a nobody 5th rounder. They coach players up very well.
What has Kaep done wrong? United States Constitution guaranteeing the rights of free expression, what he has done is not wrong,
you are right…but the fans don’t have to support him or the entity that employs him. The fans have the same rights.
Maybe we should take him down to the square and hang his ass?
He is free to be anti-American and anti-police, and racist. We are free not to support him getting a paycheck. Either you hold to your principles or you simply have none.
something not right about black balling this guy because of his beliefs and free expression, where does this stop?
I hope he signs somewhere but not in south florida . He is very talented.

I guess you could put Legarrette Blount under consideration. Nobody really wanted to touch him after the Bucs cut him. The Steelers cut him too, not because he can’t play, because he’s an a$$, but I do realize Philly picked him up this year.
When Pitt cut him, that easily may have cost them the playoffs that year, because Bell got hurt a week before the playoffs.
Mike E,
Yes… Blount is someone who slipped my mind whom the Patsies* signed. But let’s not act as though the Patsies* just go out and sign people with problems. There are exceptions, but it’s not their rule (as if RULES ever applied to the Patsies*, LOL 😀 )
LOL – They most certainly do not
😀

One interesting aspect of Dolphins-Cutler contact: It was actually Cutler’s camp who initiated with team yesterday. Still nothing imminent.
how bout Gronkowski? Kraft had to have a sit down with him for questionable behavior
how about their coach bellicheat on the large scale cheating operation?
it’s a slippery slope when you deny work based on anti 1st ammendment freedom of speech, and what i hear about the castro thing was his comments were taken incorrectly
#1A is not in question here, man. Everybody has the right to voice their opinion. Problem is, it might get you in DEEP trouble… especially in these days of this irrational political correctness nonsense. Live by PC, die by PC. Seems Kap wrote his own epitaph, and he has only himself to blame.
for saying he agrees with free universal health care as well as the involvement in helping end apartheid?
Kaepernick reportedly praised Castro for investing in Cuba’s education system, as opposed to the American investment in the prison system
remarks, which he said were taken out of context.
“I agree with the investment in education. I also agree with the investment in free universal health care as well as the involvement in helping end apartheid in South Africa,” Kaepernick said.
“I would hope that everybody agrees those things are good things. And trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things that he did is just not true.”
I mentioned that his remarks were taken out of context earlier, but I don’t think anyone cares enough to read it.
If Kaep plays well no one will care if he wears a Castro shirt or kneels for the national anthem
this Marine will care,,,,,just saying
I am betting you will still watch the team
Pig would have a better feel for it than me……but Castro ain’t a good sell for the Cubanos down here. A good chunk of them got burned by Bay of Pigs and others came over in the Mariel boatlift…..even if they didn’t go Tony Montana after. The younger ones take it less personally, but talk about a flashpoint topic.
I can tell you that I won’t.
Ali was bashed and sent to jail for his stance on Viet Nam
Ali was a coward.
from simply a football talent stance only, who would be the best QB to bring in?
I would say there’s no doubt kaepernick gets the nod.
Depends on what Gase wants, but from a price/talent perspective…..Kaep does make sense. But then seems no matter what goes on Tanny will be back next year and Moore is one of the best #2s in the league. But from pure QB for one year without any other worries like salary…..I bring in Cutler.

Geez, Kaepernick sounds JUST like the communist Fidel Castro… even without the oppressive things, WHICH, of course, had to be done in order to achieve Casto’s utopia known as communism. For the love of humanity, can’t people like Kap learn from the past? Has he ever read a history book?
Does Kap even know the names of Joseph Stalin and Mao-Tse Tung and their death tolls in trying to make communism work? Does he really feel that Che Guevara was a hero? Does he think Karl Marx was a brother of Groucho Marx? Has he even heard of the “Marx Brothers” and the comedic — yet serious — message they brought on the heels of World War II and the Nazi WAR MACHINE, backed by Benito Mussolini before he was betrayed by Hitler? Does he even realize that Hitler and Stalin were allied for some time?
Kaepernick has been INDOCTRINATED. His current girlfriend is a BLM sympathizer (see Miko Grimes and Omar Kelly). Man… Kap wasn’t this way when he played at Nevada under Chris Ault, nor when he first came into the NFL under Jim Harbaugh.
I STAND with my Brother Pheloniusphish and his 12:03 PM post this afternoon… even though I’m not a season-ticket holder myself.
FOR THE RECORD: BLM started as a legit and NOBLE cause which I had originally backed. However, it was quickly hijacked by the uber-leftists and essentially turned into the NBP (New Black Panthers). It is now a racist faction which is hellbent on the destruction of America via communism and hatred. 3 things I can’t tolerate: racism, communism, and hatred. Colin Kaepernick has joined the “Dark Side”. I’m sure his adoptive parents are most proud of him today. SMMFH at Kap.
It sounds like cutler wants to start. I like Moore more than cutler. I’d rather keep Moore as starter and bring someone to back him up. With this schedule I think 8-8 would be a good season and Moore can get 8 wins.
KEN……trust me bro…….if Miami signs that piece of shit “krap-on-dick”…..my word as a MARINE……I will NOT watch another dolphins game until he no longer wears a Miami uniform….so you might not want to bet against my stance on principle…..when we had a couple doosh bags joining in and taking a knee…..I publicly denounced their action and privately wished for a career ending injury to all who participated.
Kaepernick the great savior! I’m pretty amazed at how so many people feel he fits that role. He’s a guy who has struggled learning offenses and basically survived with his legs. We’d likely have to water down the offense for him. That’s fantastic!
this is the real truth. I’ve never liked him and that’s well documented so I’m happy to say I don’t want him. BUT I don’t want Cutler either, never liked him. I’d rather have Cutler and less nonsense than a commy, girlie throwing, huge afro, circus act.
Muhammad Ali……..biggest Muslim COWARD in history……period !

I’m plus 2 now if you can handle it
I’m pretty sure Krishna said he’s in. Which is awesome.
Bookman? What’s up brother? Sure hope you make it.
Krishna might be getting his own seats not quite sure on that.
Me plus three
Meanwhile Deshaun Watson is a King in Houston
Not for nuthin’ but Gabbert looked pretty damned good last night.
Yes he did.. I was very impressed with the 1st two drives. Very accurate.
Where the hell has D been lately?
Soooo…I’ve been out of the loop taking care of some things and I read a bit to see that Tannehill is injured? What happened?
He was running and without getting hit he fell and there is a problem with the same knee he hurt at the end of last year. Despite what you hear they aren’t sure yet about his status. Some reports say he needs surgery others say he may be back in several weeks.
I hope Bobby McCain shows everyone and locks down his position. I mean is there anyone with more scrutiny going in then him? Anyone who doesn’t play Guard that is. I like Bobby and I think he adds a lot to the chemistry of the team much like Michael Thomas.
At the same time I do like having All-wheel traction too. Some All-Terrain.

.@AdamSchein says there’s an obvious name for the Dolphins at QB if Tannehill is done for the year.
Video

Meh, it’s all the better that the video can’t be linked here. Adam Schein is a total moron who is advocating that we sign Kap.
I knew it’d be bullshit
Doughtey holds on to the number 2 spot. Question or statement?
Really I meant Doughty or Doubt he
Geez… it’s like toddlers. You take your eyes off them for a second and they do something and get hurt.
Yup and I think he crapped his pants too lol
Well Gase and Tannenbaum did 💩
I think I would trade a high pick or 2 for Alex Smith and just roll
We play the AFC West so it won’t happen, besides the fact that Mahomes ain’t ready.
For our Defense:
JT goes in tomorrow night. Who’s watching it?
Congrats JT
Interesting thing for Moore is that he has plenty of time to get prepared as the starter instead of knowing he’s the backup. Still haven’t played a preseason game yet.
He’s a pro who knows his role and is always prepared incase he’s needed. Now he just gets more reps.
I wonder what the stem cell community is whispering among themselves the last 48 hours.
PhinPup just scored 4 tickets through 1 of his vendors for Dolphins @ Chargers with field passes. Small venue not a bad seat in the house. What a great kid !!!
Oh man that’s awesome. I love having one of our own there. Easy win now!
I didn’t mind going to San Diego for games but I can’t stand LA…. But I’m willing to take one for the team..😎
Cousins ain’t damaged goods, just sayin’
Very nice. And yes he is a good kid.
Son!!! Looking forward to seeing you guys as week ,and yes Yeldon was who I meant.,.
As well
Qb? Pray for RT, if that don’t work Hello Matt Moore, but yes please sign an experience d someone to back up,..gawd no to Cutler, and I don’t see Keep happening with all that comes aloNg with him. I would have liked Glennon, but not taking over the contract he signed
Kaperdick is overrated…..besides that I’ll watch the Jags if Phins sign him.
Pass on Cutler….. hope Gase does too. But if they bring him in, they bring him in.
Moore has is last and greatest chance to be a starter. This team can win plenty of games with him back there. His second year in the system as well. Enough talent out there………
Ted Larsen going down could be a bigger impact
Don’t go Jags yet man. Hang in there, Moore has something to prove.
Believe in the power of the Fins history of Savior backup QB’s.
Moorestrock
no
OK how about
Moorall?
I’m good with Moore. I’m not cashing in the season…..this is still a playmaking machine on offense (if the OL does their job)
If they bring in Kapeedick I’m a Jags fan
I hear ya on the Oline, hope Asiata can take it but Urbick is getting a lot of reps so maybe he slides when Pouncey is in. We could be alright.
The Tannehaters will say the Larsen injury is bigger than RT17’s. They are half right……
