For many players still currently on the 2017 Miami Dolphins Roster, this final preseason game, and how they play in it, will determine if they remain on the roster, or are removed from it. Some bubble players may have already done enough to stay, but others have to fight tooth and nail, and try to show something extraordinary in their last opportunity, preseason Game #4.
Some of the decision comes to down to how many players can they carry at any certain position. Do we go with 5 or 6 WR’s? How many OL do we carry, 8 or 9?We’ll probably have 4 RB’s, but are those 4 RB’s currently on the roster now, or do we pick one up? Do we take 6 CB’s or 7? I wrote a list, and man, it gets tough. I figure we only bring 2 QB’s, we did that the last couple of years, so figure we do that again. I can see us carrying 6 WR’s if they fear Stringfellow would get poached, but I’m not even sure they’re enamored with him enough to feel that way. I would like to keep him though.
On defense, we know who the likely starters on the D-line are, and I say likely only because there’s still some doubt as to whether it’s God-show or Jordan Phillips. The guys behind the starters are muddled. We know William Hayes and the loser of the 2nd DT spot are in, but then there’s Okoye, Williams, Fede, and you know Charles Harris is in, but the depth at DT and DE are somewhat up in the air.

So who gets cut next?
Also remember, we have 2 players who are eligible to come back after week 8, OG Ted Larsen (I/R), and S T.J. McDonald (SUSP) Both can make a positive impact for our team. Hopefully the O-line is doing well enough that Larsen isn’t so missed, and the same for Nate Allen at S, that T.J. McDonald isn’t desperately needed. If all is well, both can slowly be integrated back into the team.
Will Matt Darr hold off Matt Haack? Will God-show hold onto the starting DT spot next to Suh? Is Jesse Davis for real, and will he start at LG? Is Maxwell really in danger of losing his starting job? Is our 4th RB currently on the roster? Questions that may or not be answered after Preseason game #4. Some of them may have already been determined by the coaches and front office, but while this last game is meaningless to some, it’s life or death (Dolphins roster life) for others.

Is car bomb a cocktail? with Jameson Rum in it?
Jamison Irish whiskey as a floater on top of a Baileys shot that you drop in a mug of Guinness dark and chug
Tastes like chocolate milk
well I love Bailey’s in cold weather and drink Guiness Stout at least once a month, but i’m not familiar with Irish whiskey at all.
I don’t like chocolate milk, though.
It’s actually spelled Jameson. Jamison I think is the rum.
Maria Sharapova is grunting in my living room

I have this one Mexican recipe I really like to drink and watch football.
Tres morochos
It’s one jigger each of lime juice, cran juice, OJ, rum, vodka, tequila, Cointreau, almond brandy, and any really high quality hot pepper sauce or Texas Pete if nothing else. Over crushed ice.
That makes a Long Island iced tea seem like a kids drink
What the fuck!
Why don’t you just swallow gasoline
Shit.. That will straighten out your pubes and put lead in your pencil at the same time.
That will take the lead out of your pencil!
Mando has Phins keeping only 5 WR. He’s also got them with 11 OL…..but Larsen will be going IR.

Hope they can grab something at LB after the cuts. That group prob is weakest on the team.
great HS game last night #1 vs # 2. Now #1 vs #3 in college game. What a weekend of football
LOL – That was funny, mostly because it was almost as long as D’s posts. 🙂
LOL
Armando is reporting that the Dolphins are working on a contract extension for T.J. McDonald because he has impressed them that much.————
That’s why I told you douchebags we weren’t looking for a safety in the draft. Lou was right about you guys😁
And EVERYONE is getting a new contract but Landry. Interesting.
Speaking of…
The Eagles cut LB Don Cherry. … didn’t he intertcept a pass with a long run back aginsyt us this preseason? I don’t think he’s any better than Hull, Allen, Reilly, but FO might bring him in if Hewitt is really done.

Other than the hangover I’d be sure to have that sounds much too complicated to mix up when I’m drinking. 🍹
I’ve never had a hangover. I just don’t get those.
I don’t actually do the headache thing at all.
The drink is a bit labor intensive I’ll agree, but really it’s just opening all the bottles because there is no mixing or measuring or knife-work needed.
It’s very tasty.
Dolphins could solve part of their reserve offensive linemen issues by bringing back OL Mike Liedtke who was released by the Bucs today.
Why is it so difficult for this team to cut the panty waste known as Sam Young?
I know right? I think Eric Smith hits harder, but Young knows a lot, so there’s that.
I hope he doesn’t play a lot.
Shades of Turnstyle Columbo. Same player.

I detest Home the psychopath blog poster full of hate.
Naples don’t feed the trolls. I have been blind to whatever that retard posts for years now . Is tiny little dick probably got hard because you reposted that on here.
yeah you are correct, but sometimes my emotional response to his mental illness gets the better of my rational judgment. If he even just stuck to football, I could tolerate it better.
I got your back, Rock.
So eight yesterday and we started at I think 88 cause of a couple IR moves . Should mean 27 to go….if Gase is meeting with all of them it can’t be too long with each.
———————————————
NFL rules mandate the Dolphins slice their roster from 90 players to 53 by 4 p.m. Saturday.
They got a head-start on the process Friday, when they waived or released at least eight players: punter Matt Darr; defensive linemen Julius Warmsley, Nick Williams and Lawrence Okoye; cornerback Larry Hope; linebacker Junior Sylvestre; offensive lineman Avery Young; and wide receiver Rashad Lawrence.
Every year we see bubble scrubs make the team and think WTF. This year let’s be more prepared as the final roster won’t be decided until next weekend. Gase has already said as much.
Those head scratchers might not last, but being one of them is a sure sign of someone they are thinking of for the P-squad though.
Naples
Do you like spicy Bloody Mary’s?
I love Bloody Mary’s but not too too hot.
I love Ocean organic vodka in those, from the lava fields of Hawaii.
I also love real potato vodka from Poland.
I try to use really high quality brands. I think that helps combat hangovers.
I also love Mimosas for brunch. Fresh Florida OJ and ice cold Prosecco. Simple!
I don’t kill them, I like a little horseradish, black pepper, crushed red pepper, and if I’m feeling I want it just a bit spicier, I’ll add a couple of dashes of Frank’s Red Hot, but that’s not my norm. I use Tito’s Vodka
Hyde put out ten over/under bets for the team out of one of the on-line sports places. He predicts over the 7.5 win total. And based on the two about Culter……seems he is predicting the offense might just be a bit exciting this year.
————————————–
Jay Cutler: 23.5 TD passes. Prediction: Over. The fact he likes to attack downfield coupled with receivers who allow him to do that puts me over this.
Jay Cutler: 13.5 interceptions. Prediction: Over. The fact he likes to attack downfield coupled with a career of sketchy decisions puts me over this.
All 10
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dave-hyde-blog/fl-sp-hyde5-vegas-dolphins-odds-20170902-story.html
If Cutler throws for 30 TDs, I’ll suffer the 15 INTs,
cuz that would mean over 3000 yds as well due to throwing downfield that much.
Could happen cuz he has 2 more deep weapons than Tannehill did in Jakeem and Julius.
In a lot of ways this team is set up better for Cutler than it would have been for Tanny. Not saying we are going to be that good but think our O is going to remind of the Giants Bowl team with Eli Manning at QB.
I think it’s going to be more like the Rams w/Warner at qb
I think Tannenbaum said he and his staff meet with the guys they cut, not Gase. That would make more sense … as if to say, “Coach wanted all of you, but the suits upstairs had to follow the NFL rules.”
That would make Gase’s inspirational enthusiasm seem more sincere.
They can’t all be suits upstairs, some have to be jr suits
agreed….I think guys like Hope got the word from an under-assistant jr. intern suit …
but maybe not … something down there in Davie is making guys love to play there, and word must be getting out that they treat people right.
To me that is what is wrong with the Matt Darr cut. I think that sends the wrong message, since I do not recall any reason to bring in stiff competition for that player.
Possibly he was no fun in the locker room or something like that.
I do think Landry’s legal issue is a huge reason he has not been extended, and he knew that all along, which is why he did not hold out or make any noise about it.
I think he showed flashes of immature temper tantrums on the field, and although you may want to overlook that in the heat of a game, it does hint at character.
Mike E.
Bloody’s with horseradish, yeah man. I like your recipe
I had one at a wine club brunch like that with 2 rashers of bacon in there.

SON-OF-A-SON; Absolutely LOVED the “COWBOY vs. CONGRESSMAN” STORY!!! I’ve seen that the current issue of ATLANTIC monthly magazine has a scholarly article on the GOOD and the BAD impacts of technology on the current “Tekkie” generation! As you’d expect, the news IS NOT GOOD for the most part.
NONE of my kids, grandkids or great grandkids are permitted to bring electronic devices to the dinner table at our house. And that’s NON-NEGOTIABLE!! SHOCKED, aren’t you???
It’s an addiction.
You are right to try to set such a rule, but I bet they resent it like crackheads.
Actually, Naples, I’ve had no negative feedback so far. They understand that it’s impossible to change the minds of stupid old farts, so they don’t even try.
OD — I hate it when go out to dinner with another couple and everyone else (including my wife) has their phones face up on the table but I can’t set the rules like you can. 🙂
Now we’re talking. Medium spicy Bloody Mary with a stalk of celery. With Titos. I just buy Bloody Mary mix…Major Peters is my go to. Yum!
I love Tito’s. I drink that stuff neat, straight out of the freezer into a champagne flute.
I pretend I’m in a 60s Bond film. I pretend to be suave.
Nobody sees the Dolphins tee shirt and 5 o’ clock shadow, so it’s fun.

WHY ALABAMA will defeat FLORIDA STATE: Last season, ALABAMA led division I in SACKS, while Florida State was among the worst in GIVING UP SACKS!!! tHERE ARE OTHER FACTORS THAT COULD BE DISCUSSED, but, to me, the sacks issue dooms FSU to defeat.
But a lot of those DEs and OLBs getting those sacks for Alabama graduated into the NFL while FSU’s young OL has hopefully matured.
Chapman, Duarte, Faciane, Fales, Griffey, Hendy, Hickey, Johnson, Lewis, Malveaux, Pantale, Pitts & Watts. And Matthews
De’Veon Smith, Saint Fleur
Are these cuts?
No surprises on any of these except I thought Pantale showed out well, but still too green for the 53, as we need that roster spot for OL or LB or DB as all have injury issues.
Jelani Jenkins cut by Raiders
De’Veon Smith was surprising in how bad he played.
Hendy and Pitts made leaky errors, so if you can’t trust them deep where points happen, you gotta cut ’em.
Doughty cut. Good kid, but not good QB. I guess he isn’t as good as some would have you believe
But he still might end up on the PS. If anything the preseason meant that.
I’m sure he will. Gotta have somebody and Fales isn’t eligible.
But I’m referring to some thst say he is better than RT17. Yet he couldn’t beat out Moore……
And if the team felt Landry was anywhere near as good as a lot of fans seem to think he is he would be signed to an extension by now
With Hewitt headed to I/R, the team will be searching for another LB.
Barry Jackson
Barry Jackson @flasportsbuzz
Dolphins cut DL Joby Saint-Fleur, per source.
Nobody of note being but anywhere else, other than Ward from DEN
Elijah Lee cut by Vikings
Least trust Brian Miller enough to believe that these have been reported by someone.

“UPDATE 5: Jesse Davis makes his first NFL club and will likely start week one.
UPDATE 4: According to Armando Salguero Drew Morgan, Sean Hickey, and Malcolm Lewis have all been released as well as Praise Martin-Quike.”
And “It’s being reported that Terrence Fede will make the roster.”
https://phinphanatic.com/2017/09/02/miami-dolphins-2017-release-tracker-update-1/
he plays all the special teams also.
anyone watch HS football last night? great game #1 vs #2? St Thomas has a streak of 3 games without giving up TD and two are against nationally top 7 ranked teams. Next week is very possibly a shut out against a division weak oppt. They may have a good chance of being National HS champ with this defense. Jason Taylor and Sam Madison are asst position coaches on defense.
I appreciate it Naples.
The Jets are being cut from the NFL’s 32 team roster
rotflmao
Looks like String is still hanging in there. I hope he makes it.
Yep — especially with Morgan getting cut but he could end up being one of those scrub bubbles they are hoping makes it to the squad.
I hope he does, I think he has that it type ability and drive to be a really good slot receiver some day
He got overthrown on almost every pass his way. If he had been in there with the ones I think we would have seen some good numbers.
Riley Bullough, jelani Jenkins, Quinton dail, Matt Jones, are all guys I would consider for adding to our team before the dust settles this afternoon.
Jenkins on the cheap would not be a bad add as a depth and passing downs backer.
Wyoming,
Did you just see that punt? Oh my gosh.
The only two guys that I thought had a chance to make the team that were cut so far are Lacey and Lucas. No big surprises though.
Wow. Hewitt is waived
Armando SalgueroVerified account @ArmandoSalguero 4m4 minutes ago
Dolphins waive LB Neville Hewitt.
I guess his shoulder injury is more serious than originally reported and won’t be available this season. That sucks! If healthy he would definitely have helped us.
Interesting reason why we might not pick up some of the names we know and are interested in for depth until after the opener — “Under the NFL rules the contracts of vested veterans are guaranteed if they are on a roster for the first day of the regular season.”
Yep!
I think that’s only for vet minimum contracts. Contracts other than that are off their own contract language, otherwise what would be the point of guaranteed money vs non guaranteed.
Pretty sure you are right, but we were talking about guys like Jenkins that got cut. They might get a look, but that has to be a factor.

Can confirm @JamesWalkerNFL report that T.J. McDonald has signed a four-year contract extension with the Dolphins.
And, meanwhile, Landry is still waiting.
Talk about turning things around and winning over the organization.
Ian RapoportVerified account @RapSheet 4m4 minutes ago
More on #Dolphins deal for TJ McDonald: The 4-yr, $24M deal with $10M guaranteed is the largest ever for a player on a multi-game suspension
If they think he is a keeper it’s smart to get him while he is not in a leverage spot for demanding a ton more. There is probably a good bit if language in that contract that he has to stay out if trouble
Stay away from the prescription drugs. I think that was the only issue with him.
Man I will take that in a second. And don’t care if we end up with the two highest paid safeties in the league.
That’s the point if that contract, we won’t. That’s pretty cheap for a S with any talent
I’m kind of shocked by praise being cut. Not that he was tearing the roof off things, but I think he played well enough to have earned a spot.
It was probably just a numbers game with him. He did play well.
Rumors out that winner of FSU – Alabama to replace Jets in AFC East.
Patriots blocking the deal due to increased competition.
From the Miami Herald.
1:34 P.M. UPDATE: Instead of IR’ing Hewitt, they simply cut him. The linebacker had been dealing with a shoulder injury since the second week of training camp and still appeared to be a ways off from returning.
Knowing they were cutting Hewitt I would have kept Lacey as well. They must have sights set on someone else, a vet they expect to get cut as a money trim down
Or Allen and Reilly impressed them enough. But I agree, I could see us adding a LB.
Scooby Wright cut.
I saw that. Piggy is flying around in circles oinking away. LOL
Kind of shocking, he was in games for them last year but they drafted for lb last year and probably got a surprise guy off UDFA
Jesus, the Colts are sending Dorsett to the Pats for Brissett.
Pats WR aresenal is getting rediculos
dammit that hurts us and helps both of them.
DE Bryan Cox cut and LB Sean Spence cut …
now there’s a guy, Spence. What happened with him?
Not the Spence you ate thinking if I think. That guy has never really lived up to expectations
oh ok
The Spence I think you are thinking of is the DE with the bucs, the first round guy from a couple of years back.
Cox Jr is a high motor Hayes type DE. I’d put him in the OS but he wouldn’t replace any of our guys this year I don’t think.
PS
Omar cut by Sun-Sentinel … never recovered from concussion several years ago.
This team is in desperate need of LB help & that trade I’ve been talking about to get a LB is becoming more realistic and more of a possibility. We’ve got more than enough reserves at LB.
McDonald must have REALLY wowed during the preseason, and now we have him locked up. If he stays out of trouble, this could end up being a steal. I love the way this front office operates.
He’s still just one suspension away from a year out of the league, but somehow guessing that part of it will not be guaranteed. But yeah he has looked like exactly what you want…..
D
Sean Spence is the guy from Miami of Florida which is why he is in front part of my brain, but not the high draft pick Spence who is with Tampa Bay, right?
That would be Noah, a guy who got in trouble in college and had to transfer to a smaller school I think.
Good Call, D.
Ian Rapoport
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
The #Cowboys are releasing G Emmett Cleary, source said. They had received a few trade calls about him earlier in camp.
LeVeon Bell applied for a job at Dairy Queen yesterday.
Seriuosly.

I could see them bringing back a healthy J. Jenkins but we need to see who else gets released.
unfortunately, there’s no such thing as a healthy jenkins
I really don’t think this team is interested in revisiting the past. I think they’ve moved on from players like Jenkins and Sheppard and others and would rather keep moving forward. JMHO
But they are connecting back to people with system familiarity when they are getting stop gaps, so I wouldn’t count it out unless the previous player burned a bridge or something
Maryland is whomping Texas.
Patriots trade QB Jacoby Brissett to Colts for WR Phillip Dorsett
Alex Collins, sio Moore, ben boulware are some others I’d look at
Boulware is a bad combination of slow and small. I am grateful for the effort and plays he made for Clemson, but I think that was his ceiling.
I felt same way but I never count out guys who play with heart. As a PS stash he wouldn’t cost anything to see if he can develop.
Guess we have not released anyone other than Darr who would clear some cap, right? Misi should retire so we can clear some cap.
Misi is on the books for this year. He might retire but if he doesn’t I doubt he’s back with us 2018.
Brandon Weeden got cut. Not surprising , but still …
Alex mccallister I think was someone who was going to get cut or already cut. That’s another OS worthy sign for us
Colts are idiots, why didn’t they just wait until the Pats released Brissett? The pats weren’t gonna keep 3 QB’s. SMH
It’s just to keep someone else from scooping him up first
They probably were going to cut Dorsett anyways like pats were brissett
Redskins only cut on NFL.com is RB Matt Jones.
They hate their own guys. They should’ve kept Morris before.
They need to cut their RB coach.
Phins final 53, for now: 1. Aikens 2. Ajayi 3. N. Allen 4. C. Allen 5. Alonso 6. Asiata 7. Branch 8. Brendel 9. Bushrod 10. Carroo 11.Cutler
12. Davis 13. Denney 14. Drake 15. Fasano 16. Fede 17. Franks 18. Godchaux 19. Grant 20. Gray 21. Haack 22. Harris 23. Hayes
24. Howard 25. Hull 26. James 27. Jones 28. Landry 29. Maualuga 30. Maxwell 31. McCain 32. McTyer 33. Moore 34. Parker 35. Perry
36. Phillips 37. Pouncey 38. Reilly 39. M. Smith 40, Steen 41. Stills 42. Stringfellow 43. Suh 44. Tankersley 45. Taylor 46. M Thomas
47. J Thomas 48. Timmons 49, Tunsil 50. Verner 51. Wake 52. D Williams 53. S Young
I thought they cut both Williams and Young
Damien? They cut Avery Young, not Sam.
NM on Williams, they cut the DT Williams
Ah both were name mistakes
Yes Nick Williams.
bubble guys off that list incl. OT Young, RB Perry, C Brendel, LBs Reilly and C. Allen, CB McTyer, WR Stringfellow, S MSmith,
I would keep them all, but we probably won’t.
Chase Allen looks like a better prospect than Hull at this time but he’s a rookie so there’s that
No doubt the roster will be churned a bit over the next few days with a shortage of LB’s and OL.
So do we try to improve the QB on our PS or just go with Doughty? Kaaya is out there.
Joe Webb, but he might no longer be PS eligible.
Really Tim, on the books even if he retired? Damn, that’s not right.
Maybe not all of it but I think some of it was guaranteed when he restructured.
The Colts cut Akeem Ayers. I think I had him as mock draftable once upon a time.
edge rusher LB
Barry JacksonVerified account @flasportsbuzz 10m10 minutes ago
Dolphins are releasing RB Storm Johnson, per source.
Shoot I like that guy, so keep him on the practice squad.
Isn’t Lou’s list final 53?
I don’t know.
well, considering Johnson isn’t on that list…………
9rs cut Jeremy Kerley, not that we care, but can the 9rs afford to lose that guy? Who else do they have?
We are really blessed with our WRs.
I defy anyone to find a team with a better first 6 WRs.
I am less worried that the patriots will snatch up Drew Morgan, now that they got Dorsett.
I hope Drew can hide on our Practice Squad.
They prob told Doughty to throw over his head so he would not have gaudy PS numbers.
At least that was what it looked like. Or doughty is a noodle arm.
Morgan wasn’t all that impressive in the PS. He was good earlier in the offseason but faded as TC went on.
But with Edelmann hurt ….
They have Amendola and Hogan.
More “announced”: Malveaux cut, Duarte released, McTyer sticks.
He’s got the size, strength and athleticism.
https://herosports.com/news/nfl-draft-southern-illinois-chase-allen-fcs-prospect-ajaj
We saw him suck in game 2, then look pretty good in game 3, so…
boy the personel managers are working 3x time right now.
these punters get no respect…

When you don’t get excited about players who are being cut by other teams today; you’re a Miami Dolphins fan.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
LMFAO!
Cowboys cut QB Kellen Moore and QB Luke MCown and RB Ronnie Hillman.
Chargers cut QB Kellen Clemens and QB Mike Bercovici and RB Kenjon Barner and one of my Clemson guys WR Artavis Scott.
But we have better players than all of these I think. We are stacked with talent.
9ers cut that guy Will Davis who washed out for us. Bad draft pick.
To be fair he blew his knee twice. Never got a chance to develop early on.
Clarification: Team appears to have gone with a 2nd reserve tackle (for the time being) in Eric Smith but not sure who the casualty was. Possibly Brendel because Steen can play both G and C.
Was announced that Stringfellow was actually cut.
bummer
Sam Young was actually cut and the team decided to go with Eric Smith
So they did release OT Sam Young after all.
From the Herald crew:
“The Dolphins’ full list of roster moves has been released. Along with what we previously reported, here are the rest of Miami’s cuts: tackle Sam Young, guard Isame Faciane, receiver Trey Griffey, safety A.J. Hendy, tight end Chris Pantale, running back De’Veon Smith and wide receiver Damore’ea Stringfellow.”
Too bad string got cut. I hope we can add him to PS
I’m actually wondering if after that one play they went out of their way not to get him tape for just that reason.
Or people are making too much out of that one play.
From the official site.
http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/press-releases/article-1/Dolphins-Make-Roster-Moves/6e2a4fb4-c259-4543-947d-0c866ce56319
It’s being reported that Sam Young could be re-signed after week 1 so his contract is not guaranteed. We cut and re-signed him last year.
He’s a colonblow.
He did struggle for sure. I’m just reporting what I read.
Here is the roster breakdown by position.
DL 9
LB 6
DB 12
OL 9
TE 3
WR 5
QB 2
RB 4
K 1
P 1
LS 1
12 DBs sure standout, but that won’t stick when game 1 comes around. McTyr won’t make it to the start of the season.
McTyer looked really good. I think one of the safeties could be cut first if we add an OL or LB. We kept 6 CB and 6 S. I think it was a matter of grades on the talent we had, the fact that Gase has said he wants as many corners as possible, and all the nickel and dime teams play these days. I doubt the DB position ever goes under 10.
Long way from 12 to 9.
6 CB and 4 S is a common secondary for a lot of teams.
I’d bet we see Maualuga on the field on D week 1 or 2. He won’t play a lot, but…
I don’t think it will be week 1, he’s barely practiced. We could definitely be looking to add another LB and drop a S. Do we really need 6 S even with McDonald out half the season.
Maybe we make a depth for depth trade with a team needing help in the secondary and we want to add another LB.
That’s near impossible.
What is?
Trading a db to a team for an LB. Those kind of trades are draft compensation, no way will you find a team that needs a safety or CB that thinks one of our bottom guys will help them now, that just has an LB sitting around that we can use.
Lol, he looks like a 2 year old punting for the first time. He got a little nervous game one and bobbled the ball.
Fa hagget
With McDonald being suspended won’t that open up another roster spot at some point?
Say what?
When Jordan was suspended he wasn’t on the active 53 and we always discussed who we would have to release if we activated him.
Nor is McDonald on the 53, but seeing who we have to release week 9 doesn’t open up a spot, except for McDonald. Not sure what you’re trying to say.
Take a breath Tim, you’re fumbling like the puntet above 😉
It’s opening up a roster spot now.
Steve, I was talking about a depth player trade, not starting level DB for LB. Some team might be really light at DB and solid at LB – say they kept 9 DB and 8 LB but they’re still not comfortable with the bottom end of their secondary. I don’t find that to be that outrageous. That said it is more likely that we just scour the waiver wire for OL and LB. It was just another possibility.
Patriots continue to make trades to improve their roster but the Phins aren’t supposed to do it. SMH
Steve, I don’t think you’re understanding a thing I said. LOL
McDonald is on the 53 as of right now. When he goes into suspension mode whenever that starts, we’re at 52.
http://www.miamidolphins.com/team/player-roster.html
Ha! They just updated with McDonald now on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner.
I guess the technicality was he has to make the initial cutdown to 53. Then the suspension began. We now have an open roster spot without releasing anyone.
We could sign back a guy we released.
He wasn’t considered part of the 53. There’s 53 on the roster now with Larsen on there and when he’s officially on I/R then it opens up a spot.
I don’t think so, from your link it shows 53, then at the bottom McDonald suspended.
Raiders cut Shilique Calhoun after just one season. Just never know I guess.
When I did the 53 roster breakdown using the official site, McDonald was part of the 12 DB and Larsen was also on the team. Then it changed. Now the roster is at 52. Larsen will open up another spot.
It’s at 53 with Larsen
The site definitely changed since I did this an hour ago. Now we have 10 OL. Maybe someone was left off the first time when I counted 9 OL. McDonald was part of 6 S and now there is 5.
Okay, we’re at 53. When Larsen gets designated IR we have an open spot. All I wanted to figure out was where we’re at and the site played games with me. LOL
The site actively changed all day and I think the web guys didn’t put McDonald as suspended and left off and OL. That’s how the difference was made up. My first roster added up to 53 with 9 OL and 12 DB. Now it’s 10 OL and 11 DB. Not uncommon to make a mistake like that live as it happens.
We’ll see if it happens, but ain’t this the most interesting report of the day.

And now there are multiple reports that the Broncos are primed to sign Osweiler, less than 18 months after the Texans had offered Osweiler $72 million over four years in free agency.
Yeah I saw that. It’s like a guy and girl getting back together after a scorn. LOL
Too bad Storm didn’t make it.
Who’s the fourth back?
Ajayi
Drake
Williams
?
Perry. He’ll KR and play other STs roles. I doubt he gets the ball much on offense unless there are injuries.
There is no doubt that we’re building even younger. If it’s close, young guy wins. This team will do everything they can to compete as far as they can go, but I do not think they really believe they’re a championship team yet. I think the youth shows that, but they’re trying to become that. Start with the DL around Suh and Wake, mostly all young and 3 rooks.
