Week 11 – Game 10 – Bucs @ Dolphins

92bucs-dolphins-story

Forget the matchups, forget who’s playing where, forget how many PPG we have or they have, forget about all of that.  I’m not wasting my time researching that crap when this team does one thing consistently, underdeliver. NO ONE on this team is living up to the back of his football card (You can all debate that if you like)  What this team needs to do, and I don’t care how Gase has to get them to do it, is come out, and smack some team in the mouth.  As soon as they get on the field, impose their will, and show that team this is not going to be their day.  Not once this season has this team beat up on anyone.  We haven’t enjoyed one victory where it was a clear cut win where we were firing on all cylinders.  Instead we’ve had to endure at least 2-3 quarters of WTF! football almost every game.

Sunday we host a team playing as poorly as us.  I know the ANY GIVEN SUNDAY deal, but it’s time for this team to show a sign of life, and kick someone’s teeth in!  We have been beaten down and shut out and embarrassed and undressed and tied to motorboats and have the fishes eat at us, but ENOUGH!  Time for this team to give us a game where they kick ass from start to finish, a good old fashioned ass kicking BLOWOUT!

I’m not going to post the usual slogans on the bottom, GO DOLPHINS!  Zero in!  I think they  take that too literally, and they’re trying so hard to get zero.

That’s weird, I had read he was promoted to the 53.
    ———-
Yup, he was promoted to the 53. Now that he’s cut, we’ll likely re-add him to our PS… if he clears waivers, that is.

  3. Forget it. I’ll go away. It doesn’t matter. Not worth it.

It doesn’t bother me that he is sticking With cutler I don’t think he is making or breaking the offense – despite the fact that I don’t like cutle

Those penalties at this point of the season is a real problem

In order for us to have landed Wentz below is really what we would have gave up, Hindsight being 20-20 maybe it’s worth it but last year wentz wasnt that great, this years greatness could have a lot to do with the guys around him. not sure but from a (at the time stand point) this is a huge commitment in one guy especially when you have your QB whom you believe in.
not sure why this is the current topic, it’s more of a fantasy.

Laremy Tunsil, Charles Harris, Kenyan Drake, Leonte Carroo, Kiko Alonso, Maxwell and this years 2nd rounder

  11. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

i would go with Matt Moore for the rest of the season, Cutler wont be here next year why not give the guy the reps who will be here? the worst case scenario is; it improves our draft status.

  12. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

SO GASE BELIEVES CUTLER should still be Miami’s starting QB??
    That’s utter bullshit!!!!!!!!
    ————————————–
IT IS NOW APPARENT that young Mr. Gase is bull headed in the face of massive evidence to the contrary. He picked Cutler and, by God, he’s sticking with Cutler no matter what. Well, folks, to me, THIS WAS THE LAST STRAW. Gase’s tender ego won’t allow him to admit he “MAY” have made a mistake paying $10 Million to a guy who, for good reason, was already retired and headed for the broadcast booth!

GASE is no longer interested in playing “the guy who gives us the best chance to win.” He’s ONLY interested in playing the guy he picked, come hell or high water, to bolster his own very fragile ego.
REALLY GOOD COACHES are capable of admitting their mistakes and moving on to someone who gives the team its best chance to win.
NOT ADAM GASE!!!!!!! In the case of Gase, personal egos come ahead of the best interests of the team!
    ————————————–
This Sunday, the Gase/Cutler team plays AT NEW ENNGLAND (if Cutler gets the medical OK). With Cutler starting, we should keep the Pats’ margin of victory below 40 points. THAT would sure prove Gase right, wouldn’t it???????? –There’s an old football saying that says “If you’ve got 2 starting quarterbacks, you don’t have any.” And, certainly, Matt Moore’s 40 point loss at the Ravens confirms that saying. But, this isn’t about sayings. It’s about winning football games. And, right now, Matt Moore gives Miami its best chance to win.
    ————————————-
TO HELL with Adam Gase’s ego. And to hell with this organization’s fucking up our O-Line BEYOND BELIEF!!! ADAM GASE SHOULD BE FIRED and STEVE ROSS SHOULD SELL THIS FRANCHISE ASAP!!. But, until then, Miami fans should get ready to endure more years of frustration and failure.

    AND THAT’s the TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

  13. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Rob – Matt Moore is only on a 1YR contract, no guarantee he’s here next year.

OD – Ross is not going to sell the team, and he doesn’t have to sell the team. That’s a right that you and others here fought to protect, free enterprise. The man earned enough $$$ to buy the team, then it’s his team to do what he likes. He wants to win as much as any other owner, and he’ll spend whatever it takes to get there. What if everyone here said you have to sell your tickets because you complain too much about the owner? 🙂

  17. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I think people need to settle down about firing this and that and blah blah blah blah

after last night the Falcons are the only team in the NFC that were in the 2016 playoffs
That’s a ton of change over from one year to the next
the AFC is at half of the teams returning from 2016 right now

None of those teams when over an overhaul this offseason
Only Jacksonville can even be argued as a new head coach as Marone was an interim coach

we had a great year in 2016
we are having a bad year now
teams should get that before you light the dynamite

overhauling the team after overhauling the team after overhauling the team is a bad cycle
We will never get out of it
    Stick with it

I have plenty of criticism for Gase too (he’s earned it) , and I would like to voice it without instantly being thrown into the same group of dynamite blow it up coddlers

Just think – you have more time on Sundays to devote to the Holiday season or your post January gym resolutions….lol

I think we will be better off in ’18 by being hit in the face with our flaws (although sometimes it seems Gase is too stubborn to see the flaws) and work on getting better this offseason for a run in ’18

teams like the patriots and steelers are a rarerity in the NFL. Seems like a lot of teams are having a good year, then a bad year

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I agree Piggy – Lots of teams went down this year. Imagine if we were all Raiders fans, I can see the 20/20 hindsighters killing the FO for giving Carr a huge contract and not going after Wentz! The Raiders are bad. I mean so are we, but we did lose our starting QB, what’s their excuse?

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Team step back and then step forward all the time

I mean I get it with Gase: the penalties, the off field absurdity, the horrible losses and the really bad stats

        He’s earned criticism

But criticizinf him and wanting to follow the lead of perennial losers are two different things

If you just watch Dolphins games as if you are watching a spoof about football with no expectations – you won’t be so angry😛

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Good post Pig. How I feel as well. Been a tough season for sure, but think about all that has happened. This year has made me realize that yes Gase is a young head coach and some of the weaknesses on this team…..but then I came in wondering whether we would be ready for a true push in 2018 or 2019. What has changed is now pretty sure it won’t be 2018.

I’m not ruling 2018 out either

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Anything can happen, but just don’t think they will be in max out the team mode going into next season thinking this is the year to make a run at the ring. We could surprise, but it would be just that. And do think this team will have playoffs in it.

  23. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Here’s how I see it. Ross isn’t selling the team, Gase, Tannenbaum and Grier aren’t being fired and Tannehill will be the starting QB in 2018 barring any setbacks from his knee injury which I doubt will be the case. So the focus should be on how to improve the team for the 2018 season. It can be done because it’s not like we don’t have any talent. The team this year just seems to be in disarray and Gase has to figure out how to change that.

The Bucs game was strange too. Despite all the TOs and penalties we tied it late and had 448 yards of offense. This team is an enigma.

“The interior offensive line class looks strong at the top and it may be the year the Dolphins address the need come draft time,” Palazzolo of PFF wrote.

Some of the top offensive guards in the 2018 NFL Draft Dolphins fans should keep an eye on as the college season winds down are Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson, Ohio State’s Billy Brice, Texas-El Paso’s Will Hernandez and Auburn’s Braden Smith. These are the top-four offensive guard prospects according to CBSSports.com.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The retooling of the OL has to start with where we stand with Pouncey and James. I think Tunsil will be fine, it’s not like our QBs are being blind-sided on a regular basis even though he has to clean up some things in his game. Bushrod will likely retire and we can’t keep rolling with journeymen and UDFAs at guard. As versatile backups, okay fine, but we need some studs inside.

We also need to get better at TE. We need to add a good young TE who can make plays as a receiver who can block some. To me that is where a lot of the work is going to need to be done.

  29. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

We’re going to most likely have to sign an OG in FA, along with drafting a couple of OL, and a TE

    • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

That’s assuming the front office shares your concern over the existing OL on the team, from what i gather from Gase every thing is peaches and cream

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s never said that. He’s basically called out the offense not helping the defense since he’s been here. He said something to the effect that “and I’m sick of it.” He knows it doesn’t look right.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I hope they do. I really wanted us to sign Zeitler, but we trudged along with what we had.

  30. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Stanger, if we can strengthen our OL I think Williams and Drake can pickup tough yards and make explosive plays. The problem is when teams know we’re trying to pick up a couple of tough yards they have a good chance of stopping it and that’s not because of the backs. We could also add a physical RB at some point in the draft who can give us another dimension. When your OL gets off the ball and moves guys around it’s amazing how quickly things look different.

    • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

IMHO Drake doesn’t have enough ass to be a between the tackles RB and Williams doesn’t have the style, he takes baby steps and is hesitant to hit the hole.
if we don’t upgrade our RB situation you will see more of the same blow-outs in 2018

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

When you’re being hit in the backfield which happens too often there isn’t much the back can do. The same thing happened to Ajayi quite often. You keep forgetting we were shut out twice and basically a 3rd time against the Jets with Ajayi so the RB isn’t the reason.

      • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

IMO you should have two types of RB I think you need a 230 lbs+ rb to pick up the tough yards, and a scat back on passing downs, we have 2 scat backs and no 230+. I’m sure run blocking could use help also. I’m not trying to point fingers all i’m saying is what ever you do you have to be able to run the ball or you just cant win.

If pee wee herman can consistently pick up 4 to 5 yards a carry i’m all for that.

  31. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Enough ass – That’s very hurtful

  32. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

@nd Round Will Hernandez, G, UTEP
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 330.

  33. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Tell us more about he procedure SB

  34. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Our pass pro has been much better but our run blocking has been sub par. We’ve only allowed 18 sacks this year. We can’t move guys off the ball consistently enough in the run game.

  35. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Rob, Williams is 5-11 224 and Drake 6-1 211, they’re not small like a typical scat back. Neither are workhorse backs like you want and I do think we’ll add a physical back to the mix in the offseason. But even big backs get stopped in the backfield without the push up front. I don’t care how big and powerful a RB is, if there are 2-3 defenders in the backfield before he gets a head of steam he’s going down.

Not only that, even if defenders aren’t in the backfield but they’re stacked up along the LOS with no push from the OL, a RB can only get so much. How I look at is when you need a couple of yards and everyone knows you’re going to run it and you can’t, that’s upfront, not on the back. Our OL has to become more physical in the run game. I don’t think we have the personnel to do it. I mean we keep seeing they can’t do it.

  36. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The retooling of the OL has to start with where we stand with Pouncey and James. I think Tunsil will be fine……………..

Tunsil has been a major disappointment. He has sucked. Through 10 games he has 10 penalties for 63 yards. Has killed several drive. I think we need 5 new OL.

Let’s get a GOOD O-line coach who is not a coke head.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I disagree on Tunsil. Okay he has 10 penalties for 63 yards. He’s played over 500 snaps. That’s like saying a RB has 10 carries for negative yardage in 10 games so nothing else he did beyond that matters. He’s going to be the LT next year. He is not getting killing on our blind side and he has had some nice blocks on many running plays.

The coke OL coach is gone, man. We need some better players.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s gotta clean that up but false starts doesn’t make a guy a bad player. I’d be more concerned if he was getting run over or edge guys getting past him constantly and that’s not happening.

      • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Agreed. I think Tunsil will be pretty good eventually. He started as a rookie last year which is remarkable around these parts

I don’t think he’s ever gonna be a #1 WR. Maybe he can develop into Ted Ginn…….

  44. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

Tim, by no means am i putting all the blame on the RBs we have, you’re absolutely right we need some push up front as well, all i’m saying is we need a big back to go along with the push and we don’t have that, not even a big back but one that runs well between the tackles like a ladanian tomlinson or a Thomas Jones, even though williams weighs 220+ he’s not a quick forceful RB, he’s more of a screen guy/
what ever it takes we need to run the ball or we wont win.
I’m not sure Gase realizes this.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Okay agreed. I think Gase knows what he wants and doesn’t have and there will be changes in the offseason. Remember he inherited a lot of players in year one and this season we had a lot of turnover. The roster he wants isn’t done yet but it’s hard to address every position in an offseason, that’s why we went offense in 2016, defense in 2017 and it will likely be more offense in 2018 with a touch of defense. We have a lot of young players playing significant roles and this season hasn’t gone smoothly in a lot of ways.

  45. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

as for this OL i don’t think they work much on run blocking, There’s a skill to that, it’s very complicated, they are more into pass protection as our coach is pass happy.

we need a good run blocking OL coach that doesn’t snort cocaine.

  46. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

You can revamp this OL all you want but if you don’t have a blocking scheme the results will be the same no matter who you put in there.
I guess what i’m trying to say is i don’t see the personnel on the OL as the problem, i see the coaching scheme as the culprit.
just like Bum Phillips said “he can his’n with your’n”

  47. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

If i was running this OL i would be embarrassed for them, i would let it be known that they are the laughing stock of the league, that they are a bunch of pussy’s,
and we would work on run blocking all fuck’n day long, and if someone purposely misses a block which i’ve seen, i don’t care who they are they don’t play, i would want head hunters looking for pancakes! these guys are soft premadonnas

  48. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Tim – It would be cool as hell – Just get me to the playoffs, we’ll worry about what happens when we get there.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I know it looks dire and I’m not all positive about it happening or anything. But did anyone think we’d go 9-2 after a 1-4 start last year? That’s the only thing I can look at as how it’s possible and 8-8 might get you in this year. If I had to choose our record and I don’t like to predict records, I’d say 6-10 or 7-9 is how we’ll finish. Just too many mistakes consistently and a lack of big plays too often. Though in recent weeks we have shown signs of more big plays but still not good enough.

If we beat the Pats in NE this Sunday wouldn’t that be the sort of thing this team does to draw us back in even if only for a week? LOL

    This will make everyone happy

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

      No shit!

Completely changed the game. Oh well…….

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We also got robbed on a phantom PI call on Fasano’s TD. We settled for a FG. That’s 6 points lost right there between both calls. Also after the safety we get the ball back. The refs have to stop changing games at their whims.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

It was a legit call Fasano pushed off

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The call was on Julius Thomas, not Fasano, and Thomas didn’t do anything that deserved a penalty

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Mike I think the ref screwed up the number when he made the call

      • D's avatar D says:

Ken I went back and looked at it several times I never saw Fasano push off and the fkag was thrown just after he performed a legal pick, which is what I think they called him for. It was a bad call regardless of which they were suggesting and they didn’t make and really clear explanation as they normally do when they call something like that. I’m just going off when they threw it and where

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Not sure about that. The announcers clearly thought the ref meant Julius Thomas, so I don’t know

  50. D's avatar D says:

Arm chair coaching and making decisions on if the coach needs to go should be off limits to fans. No one here has an idea of what is or isn’t going on on the field.

You guys are pissed I get it, we all had high hopes for this year but blow it up, change coaches, etc is kinda rediculos one year removed from a 10-6 season we should have never had (credit Gase for that) and still only slightly less than .500 now with 6 games to go and coming off two losses that we stayed in until the end.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know what our problem is this year, but I’m looking at the rest of the NFL and I’m seeing a lot of teams like us. This has been an off year. I think distraction took a historical high point this year, teams aren’t playing like teams, and no coach seems to really be in control over it. I’m hoping we survive this year, I’m no even concerned with the playoffs anymore, we just need to get through without cannibalizing ourselves anymore. We can regroup and put this year behind us.

Fans have loyalties that put them as bad judges of things that happen. They have players the like and don’t like and it stays their opinions. I’m in same boat but I do recognize I may say things should be this way or we should make that move, but ultimately I’m no pro and people who are would laugh at what I sit here and proclaim my way to be the ONLY way.

Ajayi is gone, our OL is what it is, Pouncey is a player who is good enough for professional coaches to deem him their best guy, coaching can’t control offsides, the FO isn’t deliberately sinking us, Ross isn’t trying to tank the team so he can sell, yada yada yada.

      Bravo

    • Ken's avatar Ken says:

I agree that the second guessing of the coaching is premature. Gase was dealt a bad hand at the start with some terrible injuries at the start of the season and not just Tannehill

Now I don’t have to say it. We’ll all known it’s been a rough season in many phases. Now people are looking for scapegoats. The company had a bad year so far. There are ebbs and flows in the NFL. The AFC is sub par overall.

  51. D's avatar D says:

I counted a 21 point swing in that game. There was a score by them because of the penalty on Alonzo, they might have gotten a FG but that was no helmet contact call. If a QB is a runner they get no benefits of the protection calls they get while in the pocket. Fitzpatrick didn’t slide, he dove head first and he was a runner when he did it not a scrambling QB

  52. D's avatar D says:

Btw, I think Drake is exactly the RB Gase is looking for and he is a balance back, he isn’t a scat it speed back only. I watched him at Alabama I know what he can do, when he gets going you will see what I mean. I think we have a good power back on the PS in Smith, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we added a back in the draft if we got a value selection fall to us. I think out RB though aren’t nearly as off what he wants as TE is, maybe WR as well.

  53. Ken's avatar Ken says:

    D:
I saw Fasano clearly push off.

    Mike:
The announcers thought the refs confused the numbers on the call. That is where I heard it and I agree with them

    • D's avatar D says:

I believe you, I know you are standing behind what ya saw but I’m just in disagreement I think, and I’m going off what I saw too.

    • D's avatar D says:

Yeah, they definitely got the number wrong the flag was thrown right at Fasano.

      • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

OK, I saw them show the replay of Thomas running his route on the oppo end of the end zone, that’s all I remember

      • D's avatar D says:

Nah, Fasano ran a pick, but he didn’t interfere with the defender but as he same out of that pick he did a curl at the back of the end zone with no one covering him. They threw the flag before he did the curl and it wasn’t until after that that the defender was close enough for a push off. That’s why I think they were calling him for a pick, but it was legal. Ken and I I think disagree on what part of the route the penalty occurred on and what it was called on. I’m looking for a replay to see if I can clear it up

  54. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Let’s not forget the Bucs lead at the half 20-7 and we shut them out until their last drive for the FG. We had too many points and opportunities taken away from us in the 2nd half despite our own mistakes. Moore did spark the team and refs pissed on it whenever they could. The holding on Bushrod on McCoy was phantom. The refs eliminated big plays we made. We should have had over 500 yards of offense and at least 10 more points.

Let’s leave out the 30 pts for TB for argument’s sake in case it comes up. That was a 4 second last ditch effort to try and make some crazy return which was our only chance to win. We fumbled and it got recovered in the endzone. That score for TB was as useless as our end of game TD against the Jets.

At the least I feel TB should have been trailing us 26-20 and needing a TD. Could they have pulled that off, sure, but let the game be what it is, not refs dictating how the game will be. That’s not sports, that looks like business. I’ve seen it too many times. The SEA/PIT SB looked rigged. I’m starting to feel like I did when baseball got too slow for me. I don’t want to watch the stripes play chess in football.

How often do you look for a flag after every good play we make? I thought the Stills TD would be called back. LOL

  55. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I thought all Fasano looked guilty of was a pick.

    • D's avatar D says:

You have to intentionally interefered with the DB running into them in a clearly blocking their way way. Like stopping your route in front of them

      • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

And crazy thing is…. Looked like an oh shit just toss it over there…..

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Agreed. I don’t think a penalty should have been called. It was a TD and yes ER I had no idea that pass was even playable. LOL

  56. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Smith was brought up last week. Got waived. I think he’ll be back on PS if he clears waivers.

  57. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I’m sure the ref screwed up the number on the Fasano TD

But it wasn’t a push off IMO

  58. Ken's avatar Ken says:

I remember Fasano pushing off the db to get separation. That is what I remember.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I think he launched his feet back to catch it. The play was broken and now a sandlot game. The refs are too involved.

  59. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Rob – Just to make ya laugh – The Patriots, with their little squirt RB’s have 7 rushing TD’s, we have 1, and it wasn’t even Ajayi. 🙂 It’s not the backs, it’s the O-line, playcalling, and balance on offense.

MIKE E: Just read your comments on my post this morning where you accuse me of violating Ross’s rights to free enterprise (which I absolutely did NOT say) and that I also, somehow, wanted to force Ross to sell the team even if Ross doesn’t want to sell the team. NOT TRUE.
    ——————-
What I DID say, quoting verbatim, was “Gase should be fired and Steve Ross should sell the team ASAP!!” (End of quote.) Nowhere did I say to involuntarily rip the franchise from Ross. That’s WHY I finished the paragraph with, and I’m quoting again,”Miami fans should get ready to endure more years of frustration and failure” close quotes. I know very well Ross likely will milk this franchise and abuse season ticket holders for many more years. It WOULD be best for the franchise and the fans IF ROSS SOLD THE TEAM SOONER. But my closing comments that “Miami fans should get ready to endure more years of frustration and failure” should put to rest any ideas that I’m against free enterprise and against any man’s right to spend his money as he sees fit.
    —————–
Mike, I will gladly take any criticism for what I actually said. But I will not lay down and blindly accept blame for something I DID NOT SAY. I know, I know, many think I should stop being critical of Ross and the people he has selected to advise him (metamucil Carl Peterson), his football czar (Bill Parcells, who Ross urged to stay on board after his purchase of the Dolphins) to GMs Ireland, Hickey and T-Baum and to a never-ending streak of failed head coaches. I should just lay down and take it. My response??–“NO FUCKIN’ WAY will I ever do that!” I expect quality in all aspects of my life. If the quality is NOT THERE I will either say something or do something about it. That’s a right I have EARNED by serving my country for a total of 6 years and by being a Miami season ticket holder for 51 seasons. If some of you DON’T LIKE THAT I urge you to please, please, skip by what I have to say. BELIEVE ME when I say you WON’T hurt my feelings.

Something I didn’t already know: Billy Price, C, Ohio State, has already earned his degree.

Price has played Guard at Ohio State until his senior year (just like Pat Elflein). He’s a system fit for our ZBS as well… if we keep the ZBS in ’18. Quenton Nelson is the next Richie Incognito (road-grater) while Price could be the next Pouncey: both players are QUALITY.

Can’t wait to see what type of blocking scheme we’ll employ in ’18… that will dictate a LOT on our O-Line.

Well, I can’t vouch for ALL of football but I can tell you Dolphins football absolutely causes brain damage. My brain has been crushed this season watching this team.

I turned the Bucs game off with 2 mins to go and we were tied. I read the next day that we lost by 10 points. I had to go back and read the play by play on NFL.com to see how we gave up 10 points in less than 2 mins.. SMH.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

That’s really funny you say that, because Dolan is another owner that would spend anything to win. Doesn’t mean he always makes the right decisions, but he certainly is willing to do anything he can to win. Dolan=Ross. I guess some people hate an owner until they win. There are probably about 20-25 teams that haven’t been successful in the NFL for a good stretch of time, but there are the handful that seem to always be competitive and near the top year in year and year out.

  79. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Least not all football experts are down on our QBs…..and you know who said this. 🙂

“The Dolphins have very good depth at quarterback. Both players are outstanding players. They can throw the ball well, they’re smart, they can handle the different looks that Coach Gase gives them to make the defense declare what they’re in and then attack it. So, I think they have a very good and healthy quarterback situation. They have two guys that can come in and play at a high level and move the ball and score points for their team.”

GM M13 has officially hitched his wagon to Toledo QB Logan Woodside.

    MY notes
    — Very quick, compact release
    — Doesn’t lock into one receiver; scans the field
    — Throws a VERY pretty ball
    — Stands in pocket and isn’t afraid to take a hit
    — Excellent composure
    — Has some zip on his throws; ball seems to explode out of his hand
    — Very good pocket presence
    — He can scramble
    — He’s got a deep ball that seems effortless
    — System fit for Adam Gase
    — Takes chances when throwing on the run (coachable)

Being he plays for Toledo (MAC), he doesn’t play A+ teams to garner HUGE attention. IMO, if he played for a major conference, he’d be a 1st Round consideration. 6’2″, 210, right-handed. 45 TDs and 9 INTs (183.3 RAT) last year, 22 TDs and 2 INTs (170.7 RAT) this year.

If Woodside makes it to the 3rd Round, my temptation would be very strong to select him there.
