I’d say we had what most of us here at FU believe was a very successful draft, and for those of you have been here a long time, which is most of you, to get any kind of consensus on our drafts is normally impossible. Despite that fact, along with the return of our starting QB, Las Vegas oddsmakers have us winning only 6 games. In Tannehill’s worst season we were 6-10, not coincidentally, that was Joe Philbin’s last year as Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins. I’m sure there are 3 major factors as to why they have us so low, and I believe first and foremost it’s the health of our QB Ryan Tannehill, and how long he’s been away from the game, 19 games to be exact. When we cut Suh, we lost one of our best defensive players. When we chose not to pay Jarvis Landry $15M + per season, we lost one of our most productive offensive players.
We know the losses, but I feel like they don’t consider the gains we’ve made strongly enough. I think we finally got the back end help we’ve been missing here in Miami, and I’m pretty confident that Minkah Fitzpatrick will be playing a lot, right from the start. He will instantly prove he’s better than anyone else we have as a deep safety, or even a LOS cover man on a TE, or bigger slot WR. He will have a ton of opportunities, and will make the best of them. I think Ryan Tannehill is healthy and ready to go, and although there is so much worry his wretched knee can’t hold up, look at Frank Gore who shredded his knees in college at U of Miami, and is still playing in the NFL 14 years later. There was nothing special or unusual about Tannehill’s injury, and I say once again, it wasn’t two separate injuries, he had a slight tear that he tried to rehab without surgery, and then it finally tore later on. Not devastating, it’s like a button on your jacket that’s loose, and then one day it just FALLS OFF! It’s still just one button, and yes it was disheartening when Tannehill went down, it was a run of the mill knee injury,
In addition to Fitzpatrick and Tannehill, we finally drafted that receiving TE that gives all NFL DC’s nightmares. We’ve been terrorized for years by them, but now we have one of our very own. Mike Gesicki will make a difference here from day one. I know they say TE’s historically start slow in the NFL, but if you watch the NY Giants, you’d know that Evan Engram, a smaller version of Gesicki had 64 receptions and 722 yards and 6 TD’s last season. I think Gesicki can easily duplicate that or better that. He will additionally open the offense for everyone else. Once he’s out there tearing up the middle of the field, he will garner more attention, which in turn will open things up for the run game, and our perimeter receivers, Parker and Stills, and also for short passes and screens to Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant.
We have had lots of problems covering TE’s, and RB’s and we’ve seen LB Kiko Alonso burnt far too often. The addition of Fitzpatrick and also LB Jerome Baker gives us flexibility. I think we’re going to try and figure out who our primary LOS cover guys will be in both nickel and dime formations. It might change a lot, but they have to identify which guys can get it done. Fitzpatrick, Baker, McDonald will all get the chance to be on the field more, since in today’s NFL, offenses operate with 3, 4 and 5 receiver sets so often that teams are in the nickel and dime more than ever. We know what the issue is, and they drafted talent to combat it, in addition to signing T.J. McDonald last year. You could even throw LB Stephone Anthony in the mix, big, fast LB who can cover.
We didn’t replace the huge hole in the DL after releasing Ndamukong Suh. The fact is, even if we took Vita Vea or Da’Ron Payne, we still wouldn’t have filled that hole. Suh was a beast, he played a ridiculous amount of snaps throughout his entire career, and easily led the Dolphins in that category. The philosophy has changed, and we’re going to rotate fresh players in more often from now on. At the moment, that’s Jordan Phillips, Davon Godchaux, Vincent Taylor, Gabe Wright and also DE/DT William Hayes. Also keep in mind the cap money we get after June 1st, and I won’t be surprised in the least if we pick up a DT in FA at that point. After the draft, veterans are often cut, so we’ll have some choices to bolster the DL.
I love the Kalen Ballage pick. I know I’ve said it a bunch of times, but watch the kid play, and he’s a lot like Arizona’s David Johnson. He’s a very reliable receiver, he has some giddyup running a 4.46 40 at 6’2 228. He’s a tough short yardage back, but also one who has the breakaway speed to take it the distance. Ditto on the pick of Durham Smythe, TE. He’s the blocking TE to replace Anthony Fasano, and he’s a decent receiver as well. When we’re running the ball, Smythe will be the in line blocking TE, and I’m sure there will be formations with both Smythe and Gesicki, with Gesicki split out. You can run or pass from that formation, and also keep in mind that although Gesicki wasn’t asked to block much at Penn State, he will block here in the NFL. He won’t be Durham Smythe, but he will block.
We also bolstered special teams in the draft with the selections of LB Jerome Baker, Cornell Armstrong, Quentin Poling, and K Jason Sanders. In addition, I think we also got some help on the offensive line. Acquiring Josh Sitton, one of the best pass blocking OG’s in the NFL, we definitely improved. We got an OC we can count on being there the whole season, and who will be able to practice with his linemates when we traded for Daniel Kilgore. LT Laremy Tunsil will be a better player having LG Josh Sitton next to him, teaching him his responsibilities and of course, having better play next to him. If Ja’Wuan James is healthy, he will be a good player playing for his next contract, a good spot for us to be in. Hopefully we both benefit by that, and we re-sign James after a great season. Right guard is a question mark, but we have promise in up and comer Jesse Davis and veteran Ted Larsen. Between those 2, they should be able to hold down that spot. Also, maybe last year’s draftee OG Isaac Asiata enters the mix and surprises.
6 wins? FU Las Vegas!

I knew I was getting old when my ADD turned into partztimers. (I don’t quite have Alzheimers yet) What was I saying?
Anyway
I am not a fan of Bryce Petty, but we can pick his brain.
Of course, their whole offense will change with Darnold under center.
Also we really needed another camp arm cuz you always need two pairs of QBs to make all the reps to give the defensive backs and WRs enough practice.
OK so Stanger, Sir, put me down as a maybe for the Fest and maybe a me +1.
There is a chance i can make it this year.
Depends on if it’s really smooth, as in no hurricanes, AWOL LBs, or shutouts pitched against us.
YOOHOO….or maybe small case yoohoo. Just a two-hour drive my friend.
DO it! C’mon Naples – You’ll have a great time, I guarantee it
Everything really did line up last year
Clear skies ahead
HULKFEST — Sunday 10/21 vs Lions

“Seat draft” is next Tues and I need to put in a rough number then. No obligation to buy now and you can back out till the seats have to be paid for, but please help me figure out how many to reserve.
Based on what folks have said on the board am figuring the following (but confirm even if I have you as “In”).

Mike E (+1 or +2)
Pig
Doggy (+2 or +3)
Son (+1-3)
Rock
stanger (+2-4)
OD (sitting with the crew?)
Phelon (+1 and own seats)

Choose the game yesterday and the list is already that big. And if you haven’t been to a FEST…..nothing better.
And Naples (+1) as possible as well.
Yup

They had just lost India.
Oh man what an honor it would be to meet Naples.
Sure hope you are there to watch our Fins stomp the Lions and we’re high fiving with You in our group! Good times man good times
Petty was in a bad situation when in NY, a new team should help him. Looking a his strengths and weaknesses in college he seems to be worth a look. Im sure he costs nothing or at most 150,000K against the cap.
Naples, the cover over the stadium makes it a MUCH better fan experience. Unbelievable difference.
But the sun blasts on the visitors the entire game!
Man we died in the sun heat before the shade roof was there. Remember all those Ravens fans huddled in that one bit of shade?
Yeah it could get brutal in there ask Piggys head

A certain ignorance involved here cockiness perhaps.
Hulk.. Glad to hear your done with your last treatment !! You will feel better soon 👍
This is a part time Mets board after all…..really sad/strange.
“The long and turbulent marriage between Matt Harvey and the New York Mets has finally ended. The one-time ace and former All-Star will be designated for assignment after refusing to be sent to the minors.”
Lol@part time
Wow
He never rebounded from his injuries. Not the same guy who was once the Dark Knight.
Celebration jig for Ken!

Well the “gravy” helps too!

Eat lots of apricots, avocados, blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, and strawberries.
Those’ll get you back to freshened up pronto. Rinse all those toxins right out.
Hey thanks Son and Stanger.
Can’t see it as anything special for you guys if I do make it. I’m the one who’ll be the beneficiary.
You are the awesome hosts to be honored, along with the folks who run this blog.
I just feel lucky that I stumbled upon it at the SS right after the 1-15 season.
It’s been 10 years now that I have been blessed to have this place to go to listen in on expert discussions about my team. I have learned and laughed so much; what a privilege!
Cool post. 🙂
Here here
That’s about the time I got in too. Got in, lol
“You can check out any time you like but you can never leave”
all those pretty pretty boys we call friends = the Dolphins
Relax said the FU man, We are programmed to receive.
I actually think Bryce Petty will be good competition for Osweiler and Fales. This might be his last chance to prove he belongs in the NFL even as a solid backup, or he may become a low end journeyman who bounces around the league for awhile and then out. So he should give it everything he has to push the other two guys. May the best man win. I wonder if we keep 2 or 3 QBs this year.
They’ll always have Fales in the Rolodex he’ll always be available
Seems that way.
Fales = fodder, so while Petty may not be much better, he’s still better, so if we keep 3 and they want the best 3 Petty has a chance. Big camp for all 4 QBs.
This is true.
The big argument of the day back then was Ricky and his weed.
Ricky was always one of my fave players. Not because of the weed, per se … just his whole persona. I hated it that they drove him away.
This is another guy I really enjoyed watching.
Big Tony Nathan fan here. As a Mets fan he was like Mookie Wilson. Not a great player but made some big plays and was fun to watch.
btw
It’s still 90 degrees here today, although the gulf breeze makes it feel nice anyway.
It’s been high 80’s in NJ the last few days. If it snows again, we have a problem. LOL

That is a huge honor ! I mean do you guys realize how big the Miami lakes sports Hall of Fame is? I mean do you guys realize how big Miami lakes sports Hall of Fame is ……….
I mean they don’t actually have a building or anything
Ken glad to hear the last treatment was today. You’ll be feeling much better soon.

I don’t actually live *IN* Naples, although the eye of that hurricane did definitely pass right over my balcony.
Only about 21,000 people actually live in the city of Naples,
as the city limits are just a narrow strip of land roughly 8 miles south to north right on the coast, no more than 2 miles east inland from the beach. It’s just 16.4 sq miles.
Tim
Heyyyy Mookie Wilson. One of my favorite guys. Went to University of SC almost the same time as I did. (Ok he’s a little bit younger, but most living beings are).
He’s from the tiny town of Bamberg which is in the farm country a little west of where i am from.
They have produced a bunch of pro athletes for a city of 3000 people. Da’Quan Bowers DE and Ricky Sapp to name a couple.
Also the ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley is from there. She might become our first female president.
Pass his exit in Lakewood, NJ on the way to the shore house. My friends and I aways loved the Mook.
Ken,
I’m not on here much and this is the first I heard about this…my thoughts are with and I’m happy to hear that you went through that last treatment today👍 I’m just happy that everything is moving forward in a positive direction. Bless you my friend.
Thank you Dbolt. Been a rough go. Surgery was on 02/19. They took 4 teeth, a portion of jaw bone and lymph nodes in the neck. Followed by 6 weeks of radiation. The good news is they got clean margins and the lymph nodes were negative. So I am hoping that this is the end of it. Keep coming by. Don’t be a stranger we always appreciate your insights
Glad to hear about that clean scan bud!
It’s “May the 4th”: Happy Star Wars Day to my Star Wars-loving friends here! 21 more days until “Solo” is in theaters!!! 😀
And speaking of Star Wars-loving friends… Ken(!), I’m REALLY glad to hear that your last radiation treatment was today! Now, add some weight (I saw some REALLY good suggestions from others here, today), and you’ll be on the fast-track to full recovery: you’re going to get physically stronger each and every day from here on out, buddy.
Cancer (Darth Sidious) tried to kick your ass… and though he’s not nearly as big as the Hulk, he’s every bit as GREEN as the Hulk… his name is YODA… and you just knocked the S#!T out of it after enduring radiation!!! Just take a look at it’s face!!!

Ken:
Just wanted to send my ❤️ and prayers to you. You’re a great guy and it hurts to know what you are going theough. I will be praying for you, your boys and family. Thankfully a little birdie came by and told me what is going on. I am so thankful we got to spend some time together and won’t forget that hilarious night watching the craziness at the Ramada in Hollywood with you and Jordi etc. and Jason Taylor’s “stewardess” had a crush on you! Stay strong and God Bless. Love you, Gigi
Rock, the Phins want to know if Tony Nathan’s HOF induction trophy can be placed on your dresser? LOL
I got to meet Tony on the Don Shula Show, really nice guy.
Is it just me or does Darnold look like Jethro Clampett?
He looks like if the tick and Steve Zahn had a baby
You guys are telling Ken all this food to eat but y’all must not have listened to the fact he says it’s painful. What y’all need to be suggesting is food he can plug…. I’m pretty sure a few of you are familiar with that terminology
🙂
That’s exactly it D. It hurts to, it hurts to swallow, I have no taste and thus I have no appetite. I am hoping that now that the radiation therapy is done and with a little healing I am comfortable eating again. The taste will return but that may not be for 6 months. However they are also right that no matter what I got to find ways to eat. I am basically living on soup, oatmeal and milkshakes now
Hey Gigi:
Great to see you here. The night at the Ramada was a classic. We have gone a more family friendly route these days at our fests. 10/21 vs Lions we would love to see you there. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi
Glad to hear that Ken as most everyone has kiddos so that makes sense. Thank you for letting me know will do my best to be there been planning to go around then. Take care!!
CaliGigi–SO GREAT TO SEE your post!!! –Hope all is well with you and your family! –DON’T be a stranger!!
All is well OD. Have a pic of you & your buddies on my Dolphins wall at home when we beatsthe Pats in 2014. Miss you!!
KEN: Congrats on completing your treatments. As for your taste buds returning, I CAN PROMISE YOUR BUDS, as in Budweisers, will return full blast at the Fest. I even have my oldest Great Grand daughter (she’s 12) praying for you.
SLEEP WELL. GET STRONGER.

So good.

How bout this, we cut Petty right before the season starts, and just had him in to learn the offense in the event RT goes down. He’d be Osweiller’s backup. We usually dont carry 3.
There’s no way in hell we’ll see Naples if Petty is playing even suiting up for that matter
The other option is we keep Petty and Osweiller gets the boot, going to be a good camp battle. We could be 4-0 in preseason, just based in QB play. Look how bad our non Cutler QBs were last, with the exception of that one great play Fales made to win a game.
Spence is taking 93. (Not crying, I poked myself in the eye)
Mighty Quinn 94
Kilgore 67
Tunsil 78 ( better do Mr Webb proud)
Amendola 80
Wilson 15
Sitton 71
Despite wearing 70 at UCF Sitton has worn 71 for his entire NFL career. A goood sign players coming to Miami seem to always change numbers.
Caroo needs to do the right thing and make sure Gesicki gets the 88. Revolutionary new Keith Jackson. 21st century edition.
Numbers? Who cares, except maybe the guy that bought the 88 jersey with no name on back.
Mike?
Phindogs are booked at Neptunes. Wife will book the flights tomorrow 🐕🐬🏈🥃🎸🎼😎
Awesome
Stanger
Yes…. I’m probable. Lol
Hell yeah
Fingers crossed. It’ll be wait and see til October, but going to work towards getting down there. You’d think being my own boss would allow me to…..lol
GO PHINS
multiple teams are furious at gruden for drafting the player with the heart condition, they think he could die on the field.
I don’t understand that. Why are they mad at Gruden? The player is all in, why shouldn’t some team take a chance on him? I’m sure he’ll have to pass physicals.
If it is HCM he can pass a standard physical easily and still die on the field
You guys got a good one in Cole, and he came from the best minor league farm system there is (aka the Pirates).
Mike cares about numbers. A little superstitious in that department, admittedly . . .
Gesicki should wear #88. Carroo won’t be in the NFL very long at his current trajectory
What about # 19?
DOOMED!
I think it was smart to claim Petty – Let’s see what we can do with him.
There’s no downside. He was very good in college, he’s started games and been more than a game manager in NFL. We’ll know in camp, if he fits.
NYJ fans can start a new chant…J-E-T-H-R-O, JETHRO, JETHRO, JETHRO!!!
Yeah, but was it of the butt variety?
High expectations might be nerves, but doesn’t he have small hands?
HANDS
9 3/8”
Tiny guy
Big head tiny hands
RT has 9″ hands
If Fitz, Raekwon, and Baker all perform at their floor this year, how will our D be compared to last year?
With a DL rotation, benefiting Phillips the most, they should stay fresh and not be what theyve been in years past.
It seems as if once an O gets that 1st first down on a drive all Ds play on their heels and wear down. Maybe our statistician put the stats out on this and that’s why Gase is going with a rotation.
Maybe it’s better to have 4 guys of decent and equal ability rotating, than 1 superstar playing 90% of the snaps.
Those 3 guys can make a major difference
But when you also throw in Anthony and McDonald weren’t a part of this team early last season, add them to the mix
They might not have a future in Miami but he fact that they get TC and the start of the season might really help us
I think we are much improved in terms of our pass defense. We don’t need the youngins to do it all right away
I was trying to set a floor of what this D might be. We/I tend to think the rookies are going to be what they were in college right away.

Guess “most likely” puts you guys in the possible category, but my stricter half will miss the woman that keeps you in check if you guys aren’t there. She really got a kick out her.
Grant is wearing #19 and let’s hope he continues where he left off last year and is even more of a factor on offense this year.
I forgot, maybe he will bring the # good juju
Hope so. He did some nice things down the stretch last year. Hoping we now have 3 of those small pesky WRs to give opposing defenses fits with Amendola, Wilson and Grant. Wilson and Grant can also take one to the house at any time.
Congrats to OD Bolts and Steve’s VGK for being on the brink of advancing.. Git Er Dun Sunday …. Jets need a much better game tonight than they played Thursday .. at least Liane finally scored this round so he should be more a factor going on .. Perrault (shit disturber with speed) back in lineup tonight as well could also provide a much need Spark.. Go Jets go..
Go Hulk GO !!! hope ya feeling better each and every Ken, always in our thoughts…

We’ve added new players to every position group this offseason except punter. Not counting long shot type guys, but significant players who are expected to contribute. Maybe that’s not that rare but I don’t remember it being that across the board in some time.
This was not a rebuild in the normal NFL sense….but think it sure as heck was in an Adam Gase sense. We’ll see if it works out.
To me a rebuild is when a new HC comes in and turns over everything and moves on from vets and starts over. We’ve done more tactical additions here and there each year so the turnover has been more of an evolution, not a blow it up scenario. But this season, Gase has made quite a few coaching and personnel changes because he was tired of the status quo. Like you said, we’ll see if it works out. We all hope it does. 🙂
Yep — it is a Gase rebuild of the team we have, not a blow it up and we’ll be good in three years thing. Other teams might have done it before, but never the Dolphins so long as have been following.
Stanger.. my “Most Likely” is unless something goes sideways i will be there.. if that means Possible for yer planning purposes that is okay fine with us.. 🙂
Get your priorities right Toba !! We’ll see you and Darlene at the Fest 😎
Right on Doggy!
I’ll go with the consensus. A Canadian “most likely” means “for sure will be there you hoser.” 🙂

Just like the Pets. A small quick WR corp to take apart zone coverages, and hopefully with Gesicki a big TE that creates mismatches in man.
Yeah man, those zone screens where it’s like letting a jar of flies lose. Where the fuck are they going? Then like you said we have that skilled TE now in Gesicki. Then you have guys like Stills in the Parker in the mix. We have much more vertical threats now. Our backs can all catch too. The offense has talent at the skill positions. The biggest thing is the OL plays well and Tannehill gets back to where he was before he went down.
Yep. And we have a stable of RBs, each with slightly different skill sets and combinations of speed and power in the run game as well. I am really excited to see the offense in action this year.
Where do you guys stay for the Fest?
(hotels I mean)
Hollywood
Doggies and Tobas are at the Neptune, Brian in NY and my crew were at at the Margaritaville, and Piggy was next door
I think Sonny and crew are staying at Neptune also this year, not sure
Hollywood Beach has become the new stay spot, especially since Dog performs there on Sunday night. Lots of different places to choose from, and they always figure out how to get to the game together on a big old shuttle/bus (don’t ask me how….not part of my job description.)
^ Dog on Friday night.
When I went to the Giants/Dolphins MNF game in 2015 we stayed at the Marriott in Hollywood right on the boardwalk. Cool vibe!
Yeah, I really like it there Tim

What ever happened to this thing called CONTINUITY? There’s going to be quite the learning curve this season.
When you suck on both offense and defense, is continuity really what you’re looking for?
It’s not like nobody is left for continuity, but we weren’t very good in a lot of areas either. 6-10 doesn’t scream stay the course.
The learning curve is definitely a concern worth mentioning. But if the players come together as a team quickly, I love the potential of this offense. I’m less enthused about the defense, but the potential is there.
I think this year will tell us a LOT about Gase and the coaching staff.
Agreed! Do your job and make plays when the opportunity is there. I don’t see any disgruntled snap count or touches issues this year. I see more of a results oriented team approach. Whatever works.
thanks Mike E … am looking into it
Anytime Naples, it will be a true pleasure to meet you after all these years. Looking forward to it!
and Tim
wow Dogs and Toba must be bringing half of Canada. The Neptune and my next 2 choices are all booked.
I think Piggy stayed at the Sheldon
Naples….will be no problem finding you a place to stay this far out. We are talking October. What places where you looking at?
“Foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.”
Not that anyone on here is small-minded, but what Emerson (my favorite philosopher) meant by that was the tendency of people to hold on to cherished beliefs in the face of new evidence to the contrary just in the name of “sticking to your guns” as a metaphor for holding onto one’s principles.
Any number of classic examples can be found throughout history, such as the earth is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, Carmelo Anthony doesn’t suck the life out of a franchise, etc.
I have omitted ones related to Dolphins players so as not to infuriate my fellow FU bloggers.
^^^
Just remember that change for the sake of change is EQUALLY as foolish. As such, we’ve eliminated ALL of the players who took us to the playoffs in 2016… minus Tannehill.
So you are liking what Gase is doing….and I agree. And what a most high-brow way to express it. Man you gotta come to the Fest and enjoy. Some folks are more Hegel or even Von Clausewitz (but Rock is fun) but philosophers a plenty you will find.
For next year…lol
You’re a nutcase. LOL
Let’s see what Ballage looks like. Drake and him might be a nice combo moving forward, Gore with us this year should be a nice influence on the young backs and also be productive.
Gore probably won’t be playing in 2019
We don’t really ninow what will happen this year – it’s just an early look at a good RB
I said as much. But looking at next year already is strange to me. LOL
M13, I think suggesting Gase made changes for the sake of change and not for particular reasons can be looked at as being negative for the sake of being negative. He’s the HC and didn’t like the makeup of the offense and some other areas on defense. It’s his job and his call. So three players minus Tannehill is what lead us to the playoffs in 2016? I guess you don’t believe in ultimate team game.
If Neptune is full , good chance we go back to La Quinta Ft Lauderdae airport.. will confirm once we book something … can cab back and forth to Beach and walk to Dave and Busters
Doggy said he is already booked into Neptune…..and lots of other places on Hollywood Beach within a short walking distance. No reason to make a jump at this point, especially so far out.
I would rather stay at the beach personally
I don’t think I’m the only one
Nope you sure are not LOL. I am the weirdo in this mix .. 🤪🤡
Naples : as Stanger says lots of places around …. we can keep ya abreast of where we all book in..
Maybe Naples just got confused on his searches. Didn’t call but yes you can book a room at Neptune on line.
Ok Piggy, you started it. This is a back I have my eye on who should be a mid to late rounder next draft. He is only 5’9″ 200 but his goal is to add at least 5 lbs of muscle and enter the draft after this season.

A good looking prospect
We can switch to WRs 😛
The Sheldon – where I stayed last year was pretty good
Naples.. Toba…. Yesterday when my wife was looking into Neptune’s Travelocity showed them sold out. She went to booking.com and chose through Kaya and it showed four rooms left so she booked one. Hope this helps. You can always stay at Magaritaville with the high rollers.. It’s a really nice place and closest to everything on the boardwalk. Hope to see you there.
M13, I also have a BALL HAWK to put on your radar from Memphis. Freshman All American CB/FS TJ Carter 5’11” 180 runs about a 4.4 flat. This kid is good! He should add some weight but seems like he plays bigger than 180 (looks).
You love Memphis too much. Find a real team lol.
LOL, I started following them when I was stationed there back in 2004. Went to a game for the heck of it (ok, for the eyeball liberty) and watched a RB named Deangelo Williams carve up a 14th ranked (I think) Louisville team. They almost upset Louisville. It was the best live game I have ever seen in my life. One of those games where whoever gets the ball last was going to win. I will have to look it up but stats for total yardage was ridiculous. Also they have this dead on kicker who is still haunting us to this day.
LOL @ next year’s draft. Let’s not talk about the potential of this year’s draft class which was pretty damn good, let’s look at next year because…?
Sun beach inn where I stayed last year is essentially part of Neptune. Right there in front of it. I’m staying at Neptunes this year. Booked a room last night. Booking dot yeah!
Effin Awesome Son !! Hope you still have the guitar strap I gave you. If not I’ll bring another. 😎👍
I have it. I’ll be sending a song list soon so you can prepare.
Need to find some bongos at least if not something better.
Sounds good. Just remember I’m playing an acoustic guitar so there won’t be much Van Halen or Metallica. 👍🍻
Pig, AJ Brown is good and someone we could look at if Davonte turns out to be a bust. This is a make it or break it season for him IMO.
Ok so it’s the 10/21 game, right?
got it
Yes
Not trying to be a hopeless homer, but if DT is our weakest position and one we are plugging stop-gap guys into this year, then we should be drafting a Clemson DT in the first round next year.
In fact i’d do what ever trade-up is necessary and get two, that guy Ferrell at DE and whichever DT seems best. After all our DEs are getting old.
I love Clemson players
Wish we had Deshaun.
The entire Clemons DL is pretty good
My brief 2018 draft evaluation.
1. DB Minkah Fitzpatrick – great pick and addition to our secondary
2. TE Mike Gesicki – the big, fast and athletic TE we needed
3. OLB Jerome Foster – a fast Will/Nickel who can cover ground
4a. TE Durham Smythe – prototype TE as a solid blocker and receiver
4b. RB Kalen Ballade – big, fast and good receiver, KRs
6. CB Cornell Armstrong – backup and STs
7a. MLB Quentin Poling – backup and STs
7b. K Jason Sanders – hopefully wins the job
Jerome Baker?
Yes no idea. LOL
He’s whacked like that
Are you drinking the ballade already😉
Wow.. I just realized that I don’t know anyone that is a Lions fan. 🤔
They say even Matt Stafford is a little shaky … roots for the Falcons.
Naples, Those Clemson DL could all end up being top 15 in the draft. Lets hope we would have to trade up that high next year to get one. LOL One DT I have my eye on also is DT Jerry Tillery from Notre Dame. I was mocking him to us as a mid round pick at the end of last year then, in January, he decided to return to ND for his senior year.
Reboot! LOL
1. DB Minkah Fitzpatrick – great pick and addition to our secondary
2. TE Mike Gesicki – the big, fast and athletic TE we needed
3. OLB Jerome Baker – a fast Will/Nickel who can cover ground
4a. TE Durham Smythe – prototype TE as a solid blocker and receiver
4b. RB Kalen Ballade – big, fast and good receiver, KRs
6. CB Cornell Armstrong – backup and STs
7a. MLB Quentin Poling – backup and STs
7b. K Jason Sanders – hopefully wins the job
How about reboot 2.1, still drinking the ballade.
LOL
Not sure what that was all about. Might have been some weird Reuben Foster deja vu. LOL
Is Ballade like one of those nasty skunky beers?
I bet Ballage is a bit nutty. 😂
Now that Ken is done with radiation are we back to personal avis?
Okay I see I typed Ballade. Simple typo, can we move on? LOL
We are also confirmed into Neptune through Trip advisor/ booking.com. Dar will pack a Tambourine
Awesome
You kidding me ??? Took me 4 days and 3 computers to change to this !!!!!!
🤡😡🤡
Wrong spot. Was a smartass reply to Tim 6:36
For the record, NFL Draft Tracker doesn’t even have our 2nd and 3rd rd picks listed. Strange!
http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?teamId=2700&type=team
Wow the track at the Derby looks like it’s a mess. My horse is My Boy Jack. Easy choice for me. 🐎
That’s cool
Phindog, no heavy stuff for me.
Something like this:
Impressive run by Justify
Tim. I’m coll with keeping our Hulk Avis until after HulkFest.. What say you all ? We honor our own and he went through some serious shit.
Cool ^^^^[
No prob
Cool with me, I just saw some changes. Gotta support the team! LOL

Lol, great minds…. I mentioned the Clemson DL when we didn’t draft a DT in the 3rd/4th round last week.😉
…Wilkins and Bryant are the 2 top dogs.
We’ve already seen what a great DT means to a team. Sure I’d like Suh back, but he was taken out of our D far too often, by double teams. We’re trying the DL rotation this year, maybe having depth 4 or 5 deep can be just as effective without a big salary or 1st rd pick.
I don’t know the answer, let’s wait and see. Maybe we just need a big space eater to keep the OL off of the LBs. Phillips needs to do his job, if he does he may be rewarded a 2nd Fins contract.
As for DE, I’m not sure we’ll need one next year in the 1st, it all depends on Quinn.
Remember that position called “Rover”? That’s what I see Fitz as, he will lineup all over the place.
In softball, college football? I think we just got rid of the guys that were freelancing, I’m not sure Gase likes it.
With Minkah playing FS roving needs to be controlled.
That’s not what I mean. He can play man, off as a zone DB/S, blitz or box.
Toba booked at Neptune’s… Cool.. Stanger put him down as in. 😎👍🥃
Rich0322. Where do you live and can you make it to the Fest ?? Would be an excellent way to introduce yourself with this great group. You would have the best time in your life with your clothes on.🐕😎🐬🏈
If im not mistaken that is RGS and he from yer necko the woods
It what if you are mistaken.. Just saying.🐕
Then that will be the first time this year 😎
We need to get Tim and MF13 to the Fest. Make it happen. We want to meet the real people. And Tim can shred a guitar.😎
If he comes I’ll bring an electric too
No man..we will somehow get another acoustic for Tim. Keep it simple. He can shred an acoustic as well.
Phindog, thanks for the shred comments. Problem is I’m not well rehearsed these days and my fingers don’t move like they once did. Most likely a lack of practice but age plays a role too. I still know the chords and notes, but what my mind says to play I can’t physically keep up with and it frustrates me. It sucks! I still love music in so many forms. Listening to music is more joyous for me than the frustration of playing.
I might be going through what a pitcher goes through when they lose their fastball and have to adjust. It’s not easy.
Well that was NOT a good period of hockey for Jets.. no score but better pick up their play or it could get ugly..
There we go !!!!
This is the team i expected to see. Woohoo
Tim..I don’t play a structured list of music. I just play what people ask me to play. Most the time I can figure it out.. sometimes I can’t .. I just go with the flow. I can usually play 4-6 hours without repeating a song. Almost always covers from the 50’s to present… Not so much present but I just wing it to have fun. Make up my own words to most popular songs because im 50 something and can’t remember shit. 😎👍
I get it and wish I was like you and so many friends of mine, just do it. I can’t, I have this fucked up standard that I never lived up to. Always strived for it though. I feel inadequate even when people say dude that’s awesome. It’s not to me. I created a web of despair that I’m trying to get out of but it’s been a real thing for a few years.
Football and the Dolphins has always been a release for me. I can focus on something else I enjoy with no control over but can have hope and joy. LOL
Well the day I have dreaded for a while finally came. My father’s 10 year battle is over. Even highly medicated and as prepared as I could be this was one of the hardest things I have had to endure but more so watching a man who has fought for life so hard finally lose his fight. I will say I was very proud of him at the end, they told us when they finally removed the respirator that he would likely go in a few minutes, and he lasted for an hour plus. He was the same tough dude and fighter he had been all his life all the way to his last breath. I’m going to miss him so much and I love him so. Rest in peace Dad, you don’t have to fight anymore.
Condolences to you D , both mine have passed as well and it is a very tough thing to go through..
My condolences D, I know it can be a difficult time. God bless.
