The preseason finale game won’t mean anything to the starters, but it will mean everything to so many players desperately wanting to show enough to secure a roster spot. The Dolphins at this moment have 90 players on the roster and they must cut that down to 53 by Saturday. Think about that, 37 players will be removed from the roster. There are a couple that may end up on the 8 game IR, and still others will eligible to be placed on the practice squad. For all the others, this is at least temporarily, the end of their quest to be on an NFL roster. Some will get picked up by other teams quickly, and others may get picked up when a need arises.
Another factor involved in the cut downs is the strategy by the FO and coaches as to how many players they want to carry at certain positions. I’ll start on offense with the QB’s. Historically, we have carried only 2 QB’s, and I expect that to continue. I think David Fales will get the #2 spot, and Brock Osweiler will be cut. At WR, it depends on whether we carry 5 or 6WR’s, but last year it was 5. If we stretch it to 6, then it’s between Leonte Carroo, Francis Owusu, Rashawn Scott and Malcolm Lewis. When we drafted LC3, and tried to look at the bright side, I hoped maybe he would be like Anquan Boldin lite and maybe push Parker for a starting job. Now, LCIII is on the cusp of getting removed from the roster, and it’s real. My hope is if we do carry 6, Owusu gets the nod.
The RB’s will most likely be 4, and I expect those to be Frank Gore, Kenyan Drake, Kalen Ballage and Senorise Perry. I know Langford has history with Gase, but Perry plays ST’s as a KR and he has shown some ability to make some tough runs, so he gets the edge.
At TE, the obvious 2 are the recent draft picks Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe, and I personally like Gray for his ability to block both in line and also as an H-back/FB, and I believe they like Derby’s potential, so that makes 4 TE’s.
On the O-line, the injury to Ted Larsen will probably open a roster spot, unless he’ll be OK for the opener. We know it’s probably not serious, but still may keep him out for a weeks. Guys that were on the bubble like C Mike Matthews and OG Connor Hilland may get a shot if Larsen will be out for a while. Asiata definitely just moved up and should make the roster.
On the D-line, there will definitely be some tough cuts. With the trade that brought us Robert Quinn, and the draft pick of Charles Harris last season, we have a lot of DE’s, but at least one of them (William Hayes) can slide inside in rush packages, which gives us more flexibility, and may bump a potential DT off the roster. We know Quinn, Wake, Phillips, Godchaux, Spence, Hayes, Branch, and Taylor are in, that’s 8, which leaves maybe 2 more spots for any combo of Malveaux, Langford, Pittman and Woodard. Tough cuts indeed!
In the secondary, it won’t be easy either, and ST’s may play a big part as to who gets to stay. X and Good Ole Bobby are IN, Reshad Jones, T.J. McDonald, Minkah Fitzpatrick IN, and then I’d have to think Maurice Smith and probably Cordrea Tankersley and Torry McTyer, but Tony Lippett’s health may put him on the IR (8 game), and Walt Aikens and Jordan Lucas are both excellent ST’s players, so that’s maybe one or 2 more roster spots for guys like Cornell Armstrong, Jalen Davis and Tavese Calhoun.
At LB, it’s a little muddled, with Stephone Anthony not really showing up, he could be in danger of getting cut. We know Kiko Alonso, Raekwon McMillan and Jerome Baker are starters, but Mike Hull’s availability, or lack thereof may open up an opportunity for someone else. Garvin is a solid vet who is a ST’s ace, so he’s in, Chase Allen was a former starter for us due to injuries, and he showed well enough, but the injury to Hull could possibly open the door for either Frank Ginda or Quentin Poling.
The final battle is ST’s, where kickers Jason Sanders and Greg Joseph have squared off all during TC and the preseason. I think Sanders is in, and then we have P Matt Haack, LS God John Denney.
So that’s what I think about the roster, and Preseason Game IV is tomorrow against the Falcons in Atlanta at 7PM, the game will be replayed on NFL Network on Saturday morning at 6AM.

My ‘wish-list’ is comprised of only one thing: find a BIG-BODY/ANCHOR to spell Jordan Phillips. Everybody else on our D-Line is 305-ish (is that a coincidence? LOL).
————————————————–
There are 4 bonafide studs. Ed Oliver, Raekwon Davis, Derrick Brown, Jeffery Simmons (probable the most underrated of the bunch even as a top 15 prospect). Watch Mississippi States DL this year they should be pretty impressive with one of the best DE’s coming out next year and best DT’s next to him.
First, because Mikey didnt publish a link to the new blog on the old one yet.
Clemsons DL should be pretty sick too,
They must be really liking Kiser
I’m curios why we didn’t / haven’t pulled the trigger?
Maybe we are waiting for cuts?
I know what Gase said!
But I don’t believe him!
D – FYI – We don’t publish the link to the articles, we just publish the articles. For some reason, there are times when the article is published, but the link isn’t generated immediately. I (We) don’t have any control over that.
Yes you do, you blog Nazi! Dont lie to make friends lol 🙂
I actually knew you didnt publish the link i was being a shithead lol
🙂
So what do you guys/girls think? 2 QB’s? Fales or Osweiler? All the other positions too, let’s hear it!
2 QB’s but im not sure about the second one, or even if the second one is currently on the roster. When all is said and done, it might be someone the pick up after cuts.
4 RB’s Drake, Gore, Ballgag, Perry
4 TE’s Gesicki, Smythe, Gray and Derby
9 OL’s Kilgore, Sitton, Tunsil, James, Davis, Asiata, Young, Larsen and Sterup.
If Larsen goes to the IR to give him time to heal, i think they also bring Mike Matthews. I dont think that Brendel has participated much the PS to have confidence in him being ready.
6 WR Stills, Parker, Wilson, Amendola, Grant and Ford.
———————————————-
DL 9/10 Spence, Taylor, Godchaux, Phillips, Hayes, Harris, Wake, Quinn, Branch
The last spot im kinda torn between Langford and Malveaux or no one. Im still not sure if we bring 9 or 10.
LB Alonzo, McMillan, Baker, Allen, Poling, and Garvin
DB 9/10 Jones, McDonald, Fitzpatrick, McCain, McTyer, Howard, Aikens, Tankersly, Lippett.
If Lippett goes to IR to get right, or they bring 10, then Smith makes it, and if both is true i think Armstrong also makes. it.

Either he is sticking with these terds and hoping for the best, or year i think he is going to look for a vet once cuts happen. I keep hearing Matt Schaubs name as on potential vet backup to get cut. A young guy who is pretty consistent and may get cut could be Nate Sudfeld in Philly. Paxton Lynch is supposedly on the outs in Denver, but i dont think he would be a reliable backup option, maybe a developmental project, but definitely no stability from the backup kind of security. The Saints are probably going to cut Tom Savage, he isn’t a starter but he might be good enough to get you through a couple games in a pinch. So far that’s all i found other than the Teddy Bridgewater trade scenario. I dont know how long the Jets would be willing to hold on to he and McCown before finally cutting one, but you can bet they are going to try to get something for one or both of them.
Anyone here interested in taking over a team in a keeper FF league? Not much of a buy in, just 8 dollars, and then $25 if you want to win the big prize at the end. If so, please let me know. We need at least 2 teams to be taken over, and if you’re interested, I can show you your team roster as currently constituted, which you would get to cut down to 9 before the draft which will happen before the season.
Thanks!
I’ll let you know after the season is over
LOL
Did my roster projection Pre-TC,
and not much has changed other than Hull/Larsen setbacks,
Baker overtaking Anthony,
and Minkah & BMc switching CB positions…
Like Matthews (if need be) for Larsen),
but see Sternup as a possibility also
GOFINS!!!
Was hoping to keep 3 QB’s but probably too many good guys elsewhere
that’ll be bigger contributors than whoever QB3 might be…
Hoping for 4 TE (Derby or Escobar),
4RB (Langford or Perry)
and WR6 (Owusu)…
Maybe have room for QB3, TE/RB5, or WR7
If say, Hull, Larsen, & Lippett/whoever else
begin season on 8 game IR???
Offered up Patrick’s new piece/link yesterday,

Kenny – I don’t know what’s up with the links not going thru for your site. Weird thing, at work, I can’t even get the comments on the articles, it says the site is not safe. You know how your web browser will show you a “lock” next to the site heading, Dolphin Shout doesn’t have one, so my PC at work won’t let me see it, which is really annoying. Anyway, I put up the link for Patrick’s article.

Rob – How is Rex Burkhead (5’10 215) or Sony Michel (5’11 215) a munchkin?
________________________________________
I was thinking more of Gilislee and the other munchkin…..forgot his name….
Gills is 5’11
The only two guys i see on their roster at RB thats really small are two guys who are basically just camp bodies. Some Farrow guy thats 5’9 and a Muhammad guy who is Grantman’s size
I guess they just look like munchkins to me not a big Pats fan, watched them play the other day not impressed, no speed at WR.

OFFENSIVE LINE (8): Laremy Tunsil, Ju’Wuan James, Josh Sitton, Jesse Davis, Daniel Kilgore, Ted Larsen, Sam Young, Zach Sterup
Rob – They used to have those 2 small backs, Dion Lewis and James White, but Lewis is gone. Burkhead is a FB playing RB, and Michel is a talented RB who has good size, and they also have Mike Gillislee and Jeremy Hill from Cincy. Now they just have the munchkin WR’s in Edelman and Dorsett
I think their balls will be deflated this year.
Just the way Brady likes ’em!
Stephone Anthony may be in danger, they will save 1.5 dumping him.
Plus, he hasn’t shown a damn thing since he got here, last year or this year. Very disappointing to me.
I’m willing to bet (not literally) that Mychal Kendricks has been under investigation for a while. I’m also willing to bet that our FO knew about this… which is why we wouldn’t trade for him, nor sign him when the Eagles released him.
As a result, we got Jerome Baker early. We even passed on Mason Rudolph for Jerome Baker.
Could be, and likely the Eagles did too, which is why they were so willing to get rid of him
Indeed!
Haack hits some long punts against the Ravens, a Big leg punter is crucial to field position.
Agreed!
I prefer a guy who can always pop it in btwn the 5 and 10 every time with no chance for a catch from closer in even if can’t boom it, but maybe that just me. 🙂
So after looking at ‘this and that’, I think we can conclude that Stephone Anthony hadn’t done enough last year — nor this year in camp or the preseason — to consider him being starter material.
We were, after all, looking to add a LB within the first 3 rounds of this past Draft, REGARDLESS. Had Minkah not fallen to us @ R1P11, our FO already came clean and stated that Tremaine Edmunds would have been our selection. Instead, we got Jerome Baker in the 3rd round, passing on what many perceived as an almost need at the QB position… whether it be to start in the event Tannehill didn’t rebound, to push Tannehill, or to simply be a QB of the future.
Did Anthony even do enough to remain with us as a backup? I doubt it.
Nope! I don’t think so man
Not that I’ve seen!

My only issue with Haak is his accuracy. He doesnt seem able to drop the ball right where he wants to and kill kicks like putting just the right spin on it to have the ball stop dead doesnt seem to be a strong suit. No doubt he has a big leg, he just need to polish up those other things and he could be a really good punter.

Hopefully everyone already saw the compensation given up. Sorry if I ruined it for anyone.
Wow, that was a smart move by the Jets to pick him up, they essentially get a free 3rd RD pick for nothing. That also might give them more trade stock to possibly offer in a trade to get Khalil Mack from the Raiders, should the Raiders even consider trading him
Yep, savvy move by the FO.

Mike E : do you think Spence over Malveaux ? I thought Spence was kind of like Anthony, not doing anything to stand out…. Or maybe in my mind i get them mixed up..
as for teddy … Wow Saints Really ?? whoduthunk
Spence is a DT, so not expecting him to necessarily do a lot, but Kocurek the DL coach knows him well from Detroit, and brought him here, so I think he’s pretty safe. As far as Malveaux, I think he should make it too.
okay.. likely I just mix them up in my head.. I tend to have two players a year on our team that I cant keep straight..
TOBA !!

From Patrick’s Article… The entire starting defensive backfield is cheaper than Suh… << That's some funny Shit…

I can eat it!
But I”d rather not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fair enough. I wouldn’t eat it until a friend of mine made a batch that was so delicious, I started ordering it in restaurants, and I’ve only had one as good in about a 2 years. Some places are too lazy when they make it, they don’t season it well enough or use the right ingredients.

When my son was really young i had him completely convinced that Avacado’s were gorilla balls.
I have a few trees i have grown from pits, one is about 6-7 ft tall now, the others are new but already have about a foot an a half on them.
I like quacamole ok, but a lot of places put all kinds of filler in theirs which makes it gummy or otherwise nasty. Plus I think cilantro tastes soapy, so I don’t like tooo much of that in there either.
My favorite way to eat avocados is just get a really firm fresh one, peel it, and slice it into big chunks with a half of a fresh lime squeezed over it and a goodly sprinkle of black pepper on top.
that’s Guac not Quac … sheesh
I taste soap too, apparently 10% of people do
So Tomorrow at 7PM is our last game before regular season. Friday, there will be a bulk cut down, and Saturday we will get the ones the coaches hard a hard time choosing between and boom, back to business as usual.
Wyoming can hate avocados all he wants, but man is he lucky to live where he does when it comes to Mexican food. Its spread now, but when was younger loved the stuff until tried the real version a bunch of times. Wasn’t the same back home after that. Was like the reverse of pizza after growing up in the CT (some of you think of that as NYC or NJ) area. Good Mexican has slipped into other states now though.
I THINK we have good mexican food here. We do have a lot of good Mexicans.
But then I have never been to Mexico.
It’s hard to beat grilled chicken and shrimp, fresh sauteed onions and green peppers, and fresh salsa is awesome as well.
I also love tequila.
You probably have good coastal Mexican dishes where you are if its not also some sort of overlap with Bahamian and Cuban styles. I doubt you have good or true Mexican dishes. I have had some authentic dishes in Texas and it doesnt compare to many things i have eaten elsewhere. There are 2 places here in Mobile that have legit Mexican dishes, one of them has two menus, one thats in english for the Americans who are there to eat mexican and one in spanish for the locals that dont hablo. I read spanish pretty well so i usually ask to order off that one and its really good stuff, well some of it, some of it is on the fringe of things that you probably would try but not want to eat on the regular. We also have a coastal Mexican restaurant downtown thats really good but its a fancied up fusion kind of place, targeting wealthier businessmen and local artsy fuckers.
sorry that shouldnt have read good, the places probably are good, i should have left it as true mexican dishes.
Hey D
Where did you hear that there will be a mass cutdown and then a few more later.?
I think I remember Philbin used to wait until the last minute to announce his cuts.
It seems last year we heard from Gase in groups of 3-5 at a time over about 10 hours.
Seriously, I eat an avocado daily. I’m not big on guacamole, but I LOVE avocados… and yes, we pay big time for avocados here in PA: I bought 4 for $8 just last week.
Avocados are a ‘super-food’, if y’all didn’t already know. I’d grow an avocado tree (along with kava) if I could… but it’s not possible here in PA… unless one owns a greenhouse.
THAT there gives me an idea!!! 😀
My wife LOVES Mexican food!
But she’s from California so its hard to get her Mexican food in Texas!
Me I’ll eat everything! But I think I like the Cali Mexican over the Tex-Mex!
Chile Verde is my favorite!
Calimex is just a cleaner fresher mexican, flavors seem to be crisper and not as heavy. I like it, but sometimes i like the others. Good food is good food, and crazy thing is as much as im talking about Mexican food its not a real favorite of mine. I like the Asian, Middle esterner/Greek, and Indian spice palates much more.
Stanger
Actually I’m really lucky on the food seen
Tex-Mex
Seafood
Cajun
Now I really should have made dinner!
I’m hungry!!!!!!!!!!!
Place that spoiled me off of east coast Mexican food was when spent a summer in New Mexico (which has a right to be up there with Tex-Mex and SoCal). Find a place that asks do you want red or green chili on that and figure found the right spot.
New Mexico usually serves the Cali_Mex style!
i do love some Pablano’s!
Wyoming — Don’t tell that to anyone from New Mexico., but hence like the pizza debates. 🙂
You have to be in the Houston or Galveston area if you think that the seafood in Texas is good. Corpus Christie, Port Lavaca, etc all have good seafood, but Dallas does not have good seafood, at least the places i have been, nor San Antonio. Cajun is much better a few hours east of you too, Texas isnt bad for Cajun though. Tex-Mex, BBQ and steaks, True Mexican, and earthy vegetables (no green shit) is Texas to me. I had some of the best BBQ i have ever had there, and their Steaks are both delicious and gigantic, huge thick cuts of meat. Outside of New Orleans i think some of the places in Texas i have been have had some of the most awesome food i have had.
Bridge city!
Which is 26 miles from LA, on the gulf coast, and in Texas!
Center-Punched the food Plethora!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive been through there before, its right across the state line from Lake Charles. Havent ever stopped and visited there before, just passed through driving out to Houston. I have been to Corpus Christie, Port Lavaca, Houston a bunch of times, Woodlands, Limestone (over near Waco) San Antonio, San Angelo, Brownsville, Galveston, Bay Town, Beaumont, and a bunch of other little areas over there.

New Mexico has their own style too but its a lot like Cali style to be honest. Usually New Mex places have a huge fresh salsa bar with a ton of different varieties of salsas.
I think Mikey took it there talking about Guac. Avacado is in tons of other ethnic foods.
You’re supporting cartels if you buy avacados.
My neighbor has tons on his tree’s?
I’m gonna have to ask him if he can hook me up with an AK?????????
OK I’m gonna say this even though it sounds racist?
If your in the south and the restaurant has a big woman cooking in the back!
Order you some food! It’s going to be good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe that was sexist not racist???????????????????
Big old woman. Younger ones aren’t great around the kitchen anymore. The Grandma’s are where good southern food comes from. My generation the guys are better cooks than the women more times than not.
I think avocados originated in Mexico.
I’m aware of the soap-cilantro phenomenon, I think that’s a shame. I freaking LOVE cilantro, It adds such a wonderful fresh flavor to salsa and guac. It’s great in a lot of Mexican dishes actually.
Agreed I love it too.
I didn’t equate avocados with Mexican food, Wyo said he hates avocados, and I told him I love guacamole. Not sure how in any way, shape or form could be racist . . .
I don’t think any food discussions are racist. Ethnic foods are just that, ethnic. How does that mean you think a certain race is inferior? LOL
Lol i dont see the racial component either, i was just saying you took us to the mexican food discussion because you mentioned Guac. My comment has nothing to do with you being racist lol.
I know, I’m not insulted or mad, I just didn’t see how saying that could possibly be racist. It’s like if I said I like tandoori chicken because it has curry in it, it would be racist against Indian people because Jamaican food and many other foods also use curry.
You’d have to ask M13, i think he was the one thinking it was a little racist, i just assumed he was joking around.
Wyo, that’s not racist but a politician saying this is. How stupid can you be? SMH
Ron DeSantis Tells Florida Not To ‘Monkey This Up’ By Electing Andrew Gillum, who is black.
The more of a public figure you make your self the more you have to be very aware of what you are saying and how you are saying it. Some things get blown WAY out of proportion but that above was on a level of stupid i feel like he should be seen as having meant it that way no matter if he did or didnt.
Agreed. There were so many other ways to say it. Who even uses “monkey it up” as a phrase?
I have seen it used in harmless ways down here, like M13 its a colloquialism here and i dont know of any origin story that sets it as having been a racist one, though there are other colloquialisms here that do make use of the term money to be racial.
“Monkey this think up” is a colloquialism in the deep South. DeSantis didn’t mean ANYTHING by his comment, and we can be ensured that he wasn’t trying to lose the ‘black vote’.
It is, but its also pretty damn retarded to say that knowing that in this day and age that’s all it takes to get you pulled into a racial debate.
It was a fucking stupid thing to say. Look at what happens when politicians don’t use their brains when they speak, now it’s all over the news and social media. I agree with D’s statement.
LOL, I’m a dude who will cut open an avocado (bisecting, getting rid of the ‘pit’), and eat both sides, raw. Add just a bit of salt and pepper, and they are delicious… it’s almost ‘buttery’ in it’s taste. Now if you eat them too soon (before ripe), they suck and are essentially tasteless. And if you eat them too late, it’s too ‘mushy’ to the mouth and gross.
Eat them on time, and they are delicious, IMO! An avocado a day keeps the doctor away.
I let it ripen until its completely soft and scoop it out with a spoon and eat it like yogurt lol and year its a buttery nutty flavor. I love them and they aren’t too expensive here and once mine start producing fruit its going to be on!
NICE, D!!! I wish I lived in your neighborhood, Bro!
Well I was originally going to say if there was a large black woman cooking!
Order you some fucking food because it’s going to be great!
So there is that???????????
And yes that is racist in a good way!
I’ve GOT you Wyoming… and I know you weren’t saying anything racist to begin with, Bro.
OK M13, were you kidding that it was racist, or serious? If serious, please explain . . .
I’m about half serious with that. Somebody mentioned avocados, and then a lot of people seemed to go MEXICAN on that… particularly, guacamole.
Look, avocados are enjoyed throughout the entire WORLD, and grown in MANY places! I’m not sure I like that people equate avocados solely to Mexican guac. That seems just a wee bit ignorant, in my opinion.
Avocados aren’t inclusive to Mexico (our good southern neighbors), nor any other ONE country in the world. I just find it ignorant to pin ‘avocados’ to Mexico… that’s all. I see racist sentiment there.
Well the conversation did start out about Guacamole!
There is that??????????
HOLY GUACAMOLE, BATMAN! 😀

I think avocados originated in Mexico.
There are things people say that is in bad taste and can stir up thoughts for people of why would you choose that way to say something? Why even go there? Call it PC or whatever but we also have taboos in a civil society.
The avocado (Persea americana) is a tree, long thought to have originated in South Central Mexico, classified as a member of the flowering plant family Lauraceae. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avocado)
Well then gat dam Trump for getting an equal trade agreement done with Mexico. Maybe I can eat my avocados now with equal trade, instead of paying $8 for 4 of them. SMH
Wikipedia is also racist! lol
Right and there is nothing racist about saying a fruit or vegetable is native to a certain land. Ethnic foods come from what the people have to make it. It has nothing to do with superior or inferior intellect. LOL
M – I gotta call you out on this. You’re employing a very PC liberal stance with this. Are you saying that when discussing tomatoes, if I say I like marinara sauce is racist to Italians? That’s beyond PC man, it’s insane. Please rethink this. It’s not a big deal, but the fact that you feel that it might be racist is odd to me. If you think “monkeying the thing up” is OK, because they use it in the south, even though the person that was in play in this particular political race was black, then you can’t think it’s racist to associate guac with Mexican food. It’s not ignorant either, it’s just “normal”.
Mike E, I AM having fun with this, Bro!!! 😉
Ok, thank goodness. I was getting worried an anvil fell on your head or something . . .

Hey that coyote is an animal of color and anvils come from “Black”smith shops. What do you mean by that cartoon?
No he was just being a dick!
The fact that the south uses it also raises red flags. How does the word monkey mean “messing” it up? Monkeys are animals who are quite intelligent.
See below.
Thank you…most people know the avocado is tropical and related to Mexican foods at least here in Texas. My aunt is Cuban and my sister-in-law is Columbian. I don’t ever recall associating avocados with other cultures. This is petty.
Being stupid and saying something insensitive and arcane , then defending it speaks volumes to me.
You missed the bigger joke… which I confessed to Mike E.
Sweet Baby Jesus….Do we have to find racism in everything these days. “Monkey things up” is not a deep South, shallow South, or even medium depth South colloquialism. Heard form of it in the Marines occasionally, but never growing up. Everyone is so sensitive these days that you can’t say the word monkey without someone yelling racism? How about monkey fuckery…is that racist? more fun than a barrel of monkeys?
This world is totally fucked Phelon, so to answer your question, you really can’t say anything anymore w/o fear of people finding an angle that skews what you’re saying to be inappropriate. I honestly think it’s the downfall of our society. I absolutely fucking hate the PC police
Buy ammo.
Because racism started it unfortunately. We all know that we live in a sensitive society and certain words have that effect. We all know this, so why go there?
How about “monkey shines?”
None of that now! 😉
Monkey wrench?
Know who uses a monkey wrench, a grease monkey!
Phelon – The lighter coyotes don’t fuck with the road runner. lol
Next thing we know, the Marx Brothers classic “Money Business” is going to be deleted. I LOVE that movie!!!
*”Monkey Business”
Sorry, y’all. By keyboard is due for a cleaning.
Tim – Ever see a monkey with a tool kit? would you let a monkey work on your car?
Yes to the first and no to second. But that’s not the same as what was said here.
The asshole racists who throw bananas on the field towards black players at sporting events is what causes this sensitive PC stuff. It’s always the extreme elements in our society that fuel debates. Most of us wouldn’t do that, right? You have to avoid saying and doing things in bad taste, especially in the political and entertainment arenas. That’s just the way it is.
G
Weird. I keep getting Must be Logged in to Post message, but it shows me as Logged in .. happened 3 times sunce Friday
Phish, I wish everything wasn’t always looked at as racist or bigoted or whatever either, but you have to admit that was a stupid thing to say in this instance. He had many other options to use than that. I see it as bad taste more than PC.
What if there was a political debate and one candidate was Indian and their opponent said does anyone else think it smells like curry in here trying to be funny? How do you think that would go down?
I agree with ya, Tim. But guess what? We’ve already gone down that rabbit hole, Bro. And the sooner you realize WHO is control of this garbage, the better of we’ll ALL be.
BUY MORE AMMO is correct… props to Phelon.
I haven’t actually seen what he said or the circumstances of him saying it. I would argue that he wasn’t being racist, because if he was racist he would be more careful of saying something like that when his opponent is black. Rather, I would say that the fact that he said it indicates that he is not racist.
Your second paragraph is a bad analogy. It’s more of a direct attack.
But a spice has nothing to do with the intellect of a person due to their race. But that would be looked at as racist even though I don’t think ethnic food means you think a person of a particular race is inferior due to what they eat. But you know that wouldn’t go well if someone said that.
Ron DeSantis Tells Florida Not To ‘Monkey This Up’ By Electing Andrew Gillum, who is black.
That is a direct attack as well. He may not have meant anything racist saying that, but it’s fucking stupid thing to say.
Anyways Guacamole is mostly a Texture issue with me.. couple that with the taste is nothing special enuff to have me eat anyways.. yet i like Potato Salad, which is similar in Texture after ya take the Chunks out .. okay i am weird
Na! Avocado’s just suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To each their own, I suppose! ALL GOOD!!! 🙂

Because by avoiding saying something, just because someone is offended by a word, hides a problem. And just because something offends you, doesn’t make it everyone else’s problem. Because the reason we live in a “sensitive society” is that we created it by avoiding words that might hurt a feeling.

YUP!!!
Everybody gets one.
I shouldn’t get one they offend me 🤡😎
But that’s the reality we live in. I’m not saying I’m offended, I’m discussing the cause and effect of being stupid because it’s being discussed all over all mediums. There is people being overly sensitive and people simply being dumb.
Avocado’s offend me!
LOL, coffee offends me!
Coffee is a necessary food group.. i exist from 08:00 to 18:00 on Coffee and Nicotine..
Beets…ugh…I hate beets, especially pickled. Always have (which is tough growing up in the South). About every 5 years or so I think it was a childhood thing and try a bite of one. It wasn’t a childhood thing…beets are nasty.
100% agree used to like Harvard Beets, basically hot pickled in sauce, now they also disgust me
I completely disagree.
Madden tournaments are now war zones our kids live in…..yeah. the only country in the world that massacres it’s children, even in school.
Gotta love it!
I’m not sure what of the above you disagree with… being nobody was talking about gun violence or gun control.
Look… the dude… the shooter… was institutionalized for mental illness… not once, but twice. The LAW failed us, not #2A.
Please don’t turn this great site into a political forum, friend.
Not being an ass , but what do you disagree with ? Im sure beets did not steer you to school shootouts ? 🤔
Not sure what you’re disagreeing about, but if you think the US is the only place where children die, you’ve never left it. How about Norway? I can’t count the number of dead children I’ve seen in the Middle East or the Horn of Africa. China, Japan, UK (they’re on to acid attacks there these days), Central America, South America all have children die violently. Hell, our good friends in Mexico had nearly 30K murdered last year, many of them “kids.” And they’re on pace to surpass that this year.
I do like turnips or as some call them Rutabagas
Yes! Roasted, boiled, mashed, all good. And the greens on the side.
By greens do you mean you eat the leaves ?? Boiled , mashed , slathered in Butter, salt, pepper and Tobasco sauce … mmm mmm mm
Yes, eat the leaves.
Never heard of that .. thinking about it cant say ive ever seen one with leaves on it either.. i assume somewhat like swiss chard ? Or Spinach ?

Well, then… perhaps Dana Loesch can talk you into “Super Beets”! I’m seriously thinking about trying it, Phelon. Dana and Chris Loesch are GREAT people, IMO. #2A
Fuck that. I ain’t eatin’ no beets.
Nah, man. It’s not about eating beets. It’s about beet extract and putting it in water,
https://www.humann.com/getsuperbeets/
You see that part about “beet extract?” That’s beets and I’m not falling for it.
Lol
https://www.humann.com/getsuperbeets/?utm_source=yoursuperbeets.com&utm_medium=referral
I don’t like cooked beet’s!
But raw or pickled! I’ll eat my fill!!!!!!
But I grew up with a 1/2 acre garden!
I can’t stand cooked veggies! But I’ll eat all of them raw!!!!!!!
AMEN! I can eat ANY veggie, so long as it’s raw. Cooked? Not so much!
And cooking veggies depletes the nutritional value of veggies.
We had an acre or so truck patch when I was little. If we didn’t grow it or hunt it, we probably didn’t eat it.
And Coffee is the nectar of the gods!!!!
NO!!! LOL
Get off of that stuff, my man!!!
Now you sound like the world and my Smokes!
Participation awards is something totally different and I agree those are stupid. Competition is just that, you compete and somebody wins. If you don’t want your kids to be upset with losing, don’t put them in competitive environments. But that’s not going to be good for them either.
Manitoba – Like Swiss Chard.
MMMMMMMM MMMMMMM GOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Kids SHOULD learn what it feels like to lose prepares them for the reality of Life ! Screw protecting their feelings
If you ain’t losing, you ain’t learning.
Agreed!

😆
I DO hear ya! I’m certainly no fan of beets, either!
My Mom made beets a lot when I was a kid. I would eat them all first so I could enjoy the rest of my meal. I actually like beets now though. LOL
Borscht is a big thing around here due to a large Russian/Ukrainian population.. Beets and soup combined..GAG , even the dollups of Sour Cream they add to it cant save it
Tim, I’ve got STORIES to tell about my mother making beets for us! It entails a ‘beet-launcher’, engineered by my father, and some fresh painting on the neighbors’ house 😆
And like you, I’ve actually grown to ‘somewhat’ like beets today. Harvard beets are alright by me today.
LOL
Swiss chard is really good .. also slathered in buttet, salt, pepper and vinegar .. hmm im sensing a theme here LOL.. maybe i just like melted butter 🤔😎
Every things better with blue bonnet on it!
In the South we cook greens up with bacon or salt pork. Then eat them with vinegar that has been soaking with hot peppers. All kinds of goodness there.

LOL, and smokes aren’t any better for ya! Yeah… I smoke, too. TIME TO QUIT, my man!
It’s a no brainier!
AMEN, my good friend!
I would NEVER have taken you for a smoker..
Not sure what that means(?), but I’m certain you meant that as a compliment! 🙂
Wow. ..you guys are amazing. I don’t have the texting dexterity to keep up, but I will try to clarify.
I saw no racial comments on this blog until mf13ss suggested it back at 7:48. As usual you throw out a “hook” or something charged. You were called on it by a few here. Then, claimed a joke. Hmmmm.
Then, in your defense pp concludes, use ammo. You agree with more AMMO around 8:19.
I took the opportunity (probably should have ignored) to express my strong feelings against racism and more “ammo” (guns).
My kids aren’t dying because I don’t have any.
I don’t think I raised either of these issues. I just couldn’t let it go.
Just to be clear.
Makes more sense than disagreeing with beets 😎
😆
I hate beets….😐
The buy ammo comment was in response to Mike’s downfall of society comment. Your kids not dying have little to do with you not having guns. At least not unless you need to protect them from the bad things of the world.
I don’t want to have this argument with you. You don’t have or like guns. That’s cool. I do and my guns will never hurt you or yours.
That’s reassuring, And, like I said I should have let it go.
And, I don’t have kids; I just think as a society we should do a better job of keeping them safe. To be clear.
Ok so we had some racist Avocados? then the need for more Ammo?
Well Avocados suck so they are the main issue! Can’t tell is they are home grown or imports!!!!!!!!
and as far as the ammo? Well you can never have enough!
I really do enjoy the light conversations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets agree to shoot the avocados and beets !!! 🤪
OK I’m not too fond of beats anyway!Fuckem! Line them up with the Avocados!
M , you seem like a very health and wellness (mental and physical) type of person.. smoking would be SO Anti health and wellness it surprised ne us all .. so yes a compliment.. i am a well over a pack a day guy.. i know its no good for me, but it allows me to take a few minutes at work away from the hustle, bustle and noise of the office to reassess tge day and think what i need to prioritize next .. could this be done without smoking ? Likely, but also likely i wouldnt stop to take the time without a reason 😎
Surprised me is all.. not wanting to speak for Us All 👍
So Phelon : is that what i have heard called Collared Greens ?
Collards are a different kind greens. Like Swiss Chard. Turnip greens are the tops of turnips, collards and chard are just the greens.
Alrighty thanx
Oh and you all say me as a smoker huh????????
You have a Horse for an avatar Maralboro Man 🤡🤪
Well there is that i guess? 😉

No disagreement there. But we cannot wrap them in bubble wrap. Civilization is a very thin veneer over society. Doesn’t take much to rub it off and uncover the savage.
Krishna embraces the warrior. You don’t need to remind me of the world’s harshness. There’s no such thing as bubble wrap. And, we are fortunate in America.
Then you should STOP putting me on blast, what with your misquotes/characterizations of me. And why are you taking this sports blog into politics, again?
Let it go. Krishna said he should have let it go. Let’s go back to disparaging beets.
Manitoba, yes… even I have vices. I think it’s time to quit smoking. I’m a relatively healthy eater and know what’s good for the mind and body… but I do smoke (cigs, not Mary Jane).
Time to find a BETTER/HEALTHIER replacement, whatever that may be, buddy.
Mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMFAO!!!
HELL NO!!!
😆
I kicked it once when wife was pregnant with our first, apparently just needed a reason to .. stayed quit for 10 years until she decided we were done .. then i started bumming a few a day.. didnt want to be a Bum so I figured buy a pack and would last a week .. pack didnt last the day and here i am 17 years later .. find a reason and possibly a reward if ya manage a month .. good luck to you
Thank you, Mr. Manitoba! I WILL find a way.
By the way, you are one of the MOST respectful individuals on this board! I give you MASSIVE props for that.
I look forward to meeting you one day in Miami Gardens, good sir!!!
Thank you, I appreciate that and also hope to meet you ata fest as well
I quit in 1996. Put them down never touched another
Good Job man 👍👍
I quit when we were pregnant also!
Wife started smoking after she got done beast feeding and so did I!!!!!!
Little harsh calling the child a beast ?? 😮🤡
Well the little B@#$rd sagged them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMAO
That’s not a feel good story by the way!
