I look at this game as either the “Road to Redemption” or the “Road to Ruin”. I can tell you from my perspective, the final score as to whether it’s a win or loss is not what will decide this for me, but rather whether we show up and play a solid game of football, a competitive game, or once again we look totally outmatched.
The Dolphins and Bengals are 2 teams going into this game at 3-1. The Bengals earned their 3rd win in a thriller over the Atlanta Falcons, while the Dolphins were thrashed and embarrassed in the Devil’s Lair, Foxborough Massachusetts. The good thing for the Dolphins is momentum only lasts until the next game, and the Dolphins have a chance to rectify certain things, that they aren’t pretenders, they’re for real. The Bengals on the other hand, are riding a high, but that can be obliterated quickly if the Dolphins get the offense going.
The Dolphins made some personnel changes as recently as yesterday, cutting former 2015 2nd RD pick, DT Jordan Phillips. The Dolphins also promoted DE Cameron Malveaux from the PS, The Dolphins also signed OC Wesley Johnson, who started 15 games for the NY Jets last season, after signing OC Travis Swanson last week, now that former starter Daniel Kilgore is out for the season with a torn triceps injury. At the moment, the Dolphins are evaluating a number of veteran DT’s, to fill the space vacated by cutting Jordan Phillips, but have not yet signed one. Right now, we have only 3 DT’s, and only 3, because of the loss of DE/DTWilliam Hayes, so we’re left with Akeem Spence, Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor.
The offense just didn’t work last week, and you can assign blame to Adam Gase, or credit to Bill Belichick, and both would be appropriate. Since our offense has been predicated on speed, getting our speedy receivers in space, Belichick countered that by putting 5-7 DB’s, switching from nickel to dime to quarter depending on our offensive formation, and it completely shut down our offense. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that I wasn’t extremely disappointed with Gase for not having an answer to that strategy. Still, Gase has another chance this week to get the offense going. The Bengals have allowed 113 points in 4 games, for an average of 28.3 PPG. That got a little bloated from last weeks game against the Falcons, who put up 36, but the Bengals have a decent defense, but not a dominant one by any means.
We all know we have to do a better job running the football. On the other hand, I think it’s important to recognize that all those short passes at or near the LOS are truly just an extension of the running game. Some refuse to see that, but it is, nonetheless. The NFL is evolving, and very few teams hand off the football to a feature back 20-30 times a game. Almost every team has a committee of running backs, and very few backs in those situations get more than 15-20 touches, and that includes runs and pass plays. Even the teams that have elite RB’s don’t run as much as teams used to. Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley are the only premier backs that have gone to 20 or more carries at least once, and the Cowboys are 2-2, while the Rams of course are undefeated. It’s about playing to your strengths, and unfortunately, here in Miami, our strength is NOT rushing the football. Our O-line has already taken 2 big hits, both of our offseason acquisitions, OG Josh Sitton and OC Daniel Kilgore are on IR. LT Laremy Tunsil has struggled with consistency, as has RG Jesse Davis and especially RT Ja’Wuan James. Our O-line just isn’t our best asset, but we need to get it to be serviceable at a minimum. I don’t think we can come out week after week and not run the football, that’s a recipe for failure. We cannot be one dimensional, as NE was so kind to point out to us.
Last week’s game tipped our PF/PA into the negative side, so we’re now allowing 22.5 PPG, not bad, considering we got blown out 38-7 last week, and we’re scoring only 20.5 PPG, also off kilter due to the lopsided score last week. Forget about all the stats, all of them, because this game our team has to show up and play competitive, physical football. I’m not going to dwell on the Phillips release, but the team showing poorly in 2 consecutive weeks will not be boosting this teams morale, or Adam Gase’s value to the team. We need to rebound, even if we don’t win this game, although winning it would be ideal.
Some have said Devante Parker could be the next guy to have his exodus from the team, and if you look at how little he’s been used, you would be hard pressed to notice if he was here or not. If the Dolphins would like to extract any value for Parker, it would be in their best interest to showcase him, and hope a team might be interested when his value is higher after a good game, rather than an all-time low as it presently is.
It looks like Bengals RB Joe Mixon is not likely to play this Sunday, which leaves veteran RB Giovani Bernard as the starter. They have remarkably similar stats in any case, but they lose the depth w/o Mixon. WR Tyler Boyd has recently become a favorite target of QB Andy Dalton. Talented TE Tyler Eifert is healthy (for now), and is beginning to round back into form. (OOPS! Eifert broke his ankle last week and is on IR) Tyler Kroft will replace Eifert at TE. The Bengals of course also have superstar WR A.J. Green, and newcomer, speedster John Brown. LB Nick Vigil, who I recall some liked here, is the team leader in tackles, and they also have DT Geno Atkins. The Bengals also have their starting OC injured, 1st RD pick Billy Price is out with a foot injury and he will be replaced by Trey Hopkins.
So which road do the Dolphins take this week, redemption or ruin? I should have been born in Missouri (The Show Me State), because until this team shows me they can compete with a better NFL team, I just don’t see it happening. Let the boos begin, and I hope I’m wrong, but . . .
CIN 30 – MIA 16

I know it’s early for 2019 draft, but my first round choice this year is the same as last year, Josh Allen. Lol
Only this Josh Allen isn’t a QB, He is a Athletic LB from Kentucky, a possible Jason Taylor in the making IMO.
He’s a pass rusher from all positions, and covers the edge against the run. kEntucky didn’t ask him to cover TE much because he’s so good at pass rush, but he’s athletic and fluid enough to cover TE
With today’s passing rules, We will need to stock the pantry with pass defenders and playmakers
It’s not alway about sacks but pressure. 🙂
True that pressure can ruin the pass, making it more likely to be incomplete or intercepted.
For 2020, I might have to pick someone besides another Josh Allen, can’t do that 3 years in a row, lol
He’s slotted somewhere around the middle of the first, but I’m not sure where we will pick yet, I’m hoping we get pick 32 😎
David, my daughter and her boyfriend just asked me what I want from Taco Bell and I put in an order. Soft Taco Supreme combo and a Mexican Pizza. If You don’t hear from me again, I died. LOL
Awww. Man! Lol. You won’t die tonight, but You might not sleep good, lol
I actually love the mexican pizza.
🐖💨
Tim your not suppose to eat Taco Bell 2 days before the game, it’s bad luck!
X Howard is the reason we are 3-1, right now he’s the MVP,
i believe the simple fact that we are +4 in turnovers is the reason we are 3-1
It is really amazing we are 3-1
we’ve been outgained in total yardage by our opponents 1144 to 1581.
we’ve had 200 offensive plays to our opponents 279.
our opponents are beating us in passing yardage 792 to 1139
rushing yardage 352 to 442
They have outgained us by the equivalent of an entire game…not good
It’s a combo of inefficiency on offense, having too many failed 3rd down conversions due to too many 3rd and longs and our inability to convert those, and the defense being left on the field too long and wearing down.
Yeah, other than that we are fine….lol
Maybe if we would run the ball more
Bookman – Oh yeah, and our coach cuts anyone who looks at him the wrong way, and with those crazy eyes, well . . .

I like him better with a hat on, he looks crazier then.
Bookman – Here ya go . . .
he looks bewildered

__________________________________________
that’s it in a nutshell!
our play calling is the main culprit, you run the ball 65% or more of the time on 1st down, even if you are not successful, you keep running until you are.
you can’t be successful until you can be effective running the ball on 1st down, so you keep doing it until you are successful, practice makes perfect.
we run the ball 13% on 1st down.
with that said i think Gore would be successful on 1st down it’s just not in their game plan.
picking up 4 yards on first down which BTW is what Gore avgs will leave you 2 downs to pick up 6 yards.
at that point the LBers are up and the playbook is wide open.
I don’t think Gase understands this and if he doesn’t get it straightened out it will lead to his demise.
we have a run and shoot type offense, and we shoot way more than we run, it is a known fact that you can not win with this type of offense. teams that make the champ games and sb run the ball! the worst teams in the league are those that lead in passing attempts.
i think jordy nelson would disagree
we need Rashad back!
we pick up cheap 1st downs, just like the play to start the NE game when thill hit stills, great it was a first down but it was cheap, their offensive scheme was identified at that point, bellechick adjusted his defense to pass pro and the rest is history.
Rob, I think our running game is the reason we are 3-1. 😉
M – What’s up with Rashaad Penny? Ge keeps falling down the depth chart in SEA. First it was Chris Carson, and now Mike Davis. He must not be working hard, or maybe absorbing the playbook. They must be disappointed after spending a 1st RD pick on him
^ He keeps falling
David, I went to Mellow Mushroom and thought it was high priced and not that great. We have a place here called the Tuscan Oven that is best pizza I have ever eaten.

I like 5 Guys bergers but my arteries can only handle that grease a couple times a year (usually when hungover).
When was first dating my wife, the original Five Guys location was like a mile away from her condo building in Alexandria, VA. Never even ate there (but have tried since). She’s not a burger fan. Looked sorta dumpy, but guessing it is a company landmark at this point.
Yeah David, I mentioned OLB/DE Joshua Allen last week. He has put on more muscle weight since last season and is like 6’5″ 260 now with speed and quickness. He would be a 4-3 DE for us, IMO. After watching him play last weekend, dude has a motor.
Mike E., Last I heard, Rashaad Penny had a bad hand injury coupled with a broken finger right before preseason. Think he had surgery but was supposed to be ready by week 1. Maybe that caused him to be behind the others at the start, but now we are going on 5 weeks in so I am not sure.
He’s never been on the injury list, I have him in my keeper league in FF, Carson just outworked him early on, and now Mike Davis jumped ahead.
Anyone know who Stevie Scott is from Indiana (freshman th)?
It’s my friends nephew
We are going to watching Ohio State v Indiana today to scourt…lol
I haven’t seen too many rookie RBs have much of an impact this year and that surprised me bc I thought it was a good class
Freeman on Denver has been having a big impact
Freeman and Sony Michel – are playing well
Guice tore his acl
John Kelly has been inactive in every game
It’s starting to look like a nick Chubb is getting worked in for the Browns
Barkley is good, but the Giants O-line and offense in general sucks eggs. They’re a little like us to be honest. Guice tore his knee up, and Sony Michel is just starting to get into the groove. Freeman is doing well for Denver, Kerryon Jonson is doing OK in DET, CLE has been using Chubb sparingly, same goes for the Bucs and Ronald Jones. Phillip Lindsay has been a nice surprise
Kerryonn Johnson is pretty good
I haven’t seen Jones
I have the mind set that rookie RBs should make an impact early bc their careers are generally short
So I’m. Not overly impressed with anyone yet
The broncos were pretty desperate for a back and Freeman was defintely nfl ready
I like freeman a lot but as wedge pointed out – he has a lot of miles on his tires
And Phillip Lindsay has been showing it for the Broncs as well.
Ballage also hasn’t really been given a chance, but then again either has Drake or Gore. LOL
Lol
13 more days until I arrive in Florida for the fest. Looking forward to seeing everyone
Me too man, gonna be a lot of fun
I think you mean
“Smashing everyone”
Good for the Tanny clan….. but if had my way would have scheduled the birth for the off season. 8 other months to choose from. 🙂
He had too much time on his hands recovering from the knee injury
I don’t think it was his hands that were the problem
For Mike E it always comes back to the hands
Wake didn’t travel to Cincy…
Time for Harris to step up.
Sure as hell is!
That sucks. Should have Reshad back though.

I’ve not been keeping up with Rashaad and the Seahawks, but the last I’d heard, he’d ballooned to 236 pounds after suffering that broken hand. I’d presume he’s back to his standard 220 pounds, but I’m not sure.
We’re only a month into his rookie season, he suffered a set-back in TC, he comes from a smaller school in San Diego State, he has a fantastic attitude, and he seems to be bright. Have no fear for his long-term future, bud.

I have Penny as a backup on my FF team too and I’m just glad I don’t need him yet. The same goes for Drake. 😦

What happened to Woodard?
Ah, I see Barry corrected himself with his ensuing tweet. Thanks for posting, as I was on the phone.
You can get by with 7 DL but another way to help a defense when they’re down a few guys is for the offense to sustain drives and score points. We need to convert more 3rd downs so we can continue to run the ball more. You can’t keep going 3 and out, punt and then try to mount a comeback one dimensional passing only. The Bengals can score so we better play well on offense or we will lose. I don’t expect a 13-10 game. Probably need at minimum 24 to win this one.
I can’t believe how decimated our D-Line has become. I mean, we were DEEP and loaded with talent. Now, in a key game in week 5, we’re down to Harris, Quinn, Woodard, and Malveaux… with the latter 2 players not even having made our original 53-man roster. Sheesh!
Injuries happen….. and guess so do Phillips blow ups. Sorta respect Gase for standing his ground on that one though.
Some respect Gase for his stance, others see a TREND over the last 3 seasons. The only thing that will be ultimately respected is our final record, of course… and that has yet to be seen.
The trend is he doesn’t want players who don’t buy in.
That’s what happens when one (Hayes) goes down for the year, Wake is out this week and probably Branch as well. That’s why having depth on the DL is so important. At least Malveaux and Woodard have been with the team so it’s not all new for them. They know the defense and what’s expected of them. It could be worse. It has been worse in the past.
And most obviously, I’ve always felt we weren’t adequately prepared for ANY injuries to our O-Line… and now we’re down 2 starters for the year, this early in the season. Sheesh!
Any team that loses two starters for the year on the OL is going to have issues especially this early in the season. We actually were and did prepare for it you just may not like the choices. Early draft choices are no guarantee as a solution.
On defense we could also do some different things like 3 DL, 3 LB, 5 DB and disguise blitz schemes if we feel some DL need a breather. Maybe even 4 LBs with one off the edge as a rusher. There are ways to help keep the DL fresh if you’re down the optimum amount you prefer to play the game with.

——————-
THANK YOU!
I’d like to discuss this, more civilly than ever before. I don’t care for FA fixes, and that’s what we’ve done over the last 15+ years with our O-Line. Draft status means nothing, as we’ve seen the likes of Luke Joeckel go from a “can’t miss” prospect taken @ R1P2 in 2013, to possibly retiring after a failed and short NFL career.
Conversely, we’ve seen the likes of Brian Waters, who went undrafted in 1999, to potentially becoming a HOF Guard.
Now… I REALIZE that we’ve drafted O-Linemen early over the recent years (yes, we all know), but exactly NONE of them have panned out short-term, or even long-term (Big Jake was the exception, but even he was not for long).
It would seem our FO’s (past and present) ‘Achilles heel’ is drafting O-Linemen. We need to draft for QUALITY, not quantity (nor does a high draft pick equate to guaranteed success). And despite the numerous quality O-Line coaches we’ve had in the past (Hudson Houck and John Benton, HELLO!), we’ve never been able to establish a formidable O-Line… that’s truly strange.
I would task our FO to bring someone into either the scouting department or otherwise, as one who KNOWS a quality O-Lineman when they see one.
Our backups need to be ‘up-and-comers’, not mediocre, journeyman FAs who we pay bigger coin to employ. Thus… when a starter goes down, the torch is passed to the next generation of QUALITY backups… who one day may become starters themselves.
Yes, there ARE teams out there who can withstand O-Line starters going down (and it happens to EVERY team)… it’s just that we aren’t one them.
In the past, I’ve tried to eloquently (or maybe not so much) state that O-Lines don’t rotate like D-Lines do… and in the most violent part of the NFL (the trenches, were more concussions happen than ANY other place). IMO, it’s MOST important to have adequate O-Line backup. I don’t care if it’s an UDFA, a 5th round Draft pick, or otherwise… we were NOT adequately prepared for the injuries that were bound to happen… and we haven’t been, for a LONG time.
Look at it like this: we CAN/WILL survive if… D-Linemen go down, DBs go down, WRs go down, RBs go down… we’re DEEP with quality, not so much quantity.
But we’re in deep poop if an O-Lineman, LB, or QB goes down for us. We can do better… I KNOW we can. JMO, as always.
I hope my thoughts here were conveyed in a non-combative form, good peeps. 🙂
Easier said than done. You can go to every other team and do this if they lose key players. The salary cap does not allow you to have superior depth at every position. Some teams are deeper than others at some positions than others.
Another problem is college does not prepare OL these days to be day one ready in the NFL. Sure some are but the majority are not. The way college offenses play they need to pass pro for about a second and then they throw the quick stuff to a superior athlete who most opponents can’t match up with. Many of them also have running QBs and that’s part of the game. That’s why I’m down on the college game, mismatch opponents and not much good overall defense. That’s why building a foundation first and then drafting guys to develop and waiting in the wings is the best way to sustain long-term success. But there is a lack of patience in sports these days.
Everyone wonders what Belichick’s magic is. This is it. Set the foundation, and then you can mix and match over the years. Lou Lamoriello did it with the NJ Devils. They always had players ready to come up and play the same roles when other players moved on. The team always looked the same just like the Pats do with different personnel every few years. Then add a FA here and there to supplement and be even better.
There is no patience in Miami and in many other cities, and they go through the same wash, rinse and repeat cycle constantly.
Saban 2 years – he left.
Cameron 1 year – overmatched.
Sparano 3+ years – fired.
Philbin 3+ years – fired.
The foundation was never set properly. I think the one we have now is the most cohesive we’ve had since and they’re in year 3. It sometimes takes longer than that to get it right.
I’ll say this, if I’m the owner not Ross, me, I’d give Gase his entire 5 year deal and then evaluate whether it’s time to move on. We have not had a HC last here more than their 4th years over the last 11 years. How’s that been working for stability?
Gase is currently 19-17. He didn’t inherit a juggernaut playoff team. Just because we’ve been suffering Dolphins fans all that time would not matter to me as owner. I’m going to stick with it for 5 years and then evaluate.
Correction, we have not had a HC last here more than their 4th years over the 11 years prior to Gase being hired. None of them completed 4 years.
Just to get it on the record here.
Wow, the Santana concert in the House of Blues in Las Vegas was totally awesome.
tI was basically the perfect concert.
Vegas surprised me in several ways though, as I had never been there.
The buildings were far more beautiful and substantial than i thought they’d be.
I thought they’d be kinda cheesy and the themes kinda corny.
Every one we went in was very impressive and way more upscale than I thought they’d be.
The food was great, although somewhat expensive.
We stayed in the Venetian, which is probably the most beautiful places i have ever stayed, tied with the chateau de challain la potherie..
I stayed there when wife was on a conference. Nice place. Never took the gondola ride though…… seemed a little silly. 🙂
But the casino parts themselves were tacky and cold and boring to walk past.
There were no suave gentlemen in tuxes. Neither were there any sophisticated babes draped anywhere. The dealers and croupiers were sour-faced frumps and made no attempt to engage me.
I guess I am spoiled by 007 movies, or maybe i needed to find the high rollers tables.
It was over 100 degrees and so dry my lips blistered. I’m used to air that is half water down here.
Let me guess, this is a Hollywood movie and most likely a porn movie that will be nothing but everyone lapping Obama’s balls. LOL
The timing of this is so easy to see I feel like a prophet. 😉
With Wake officially out tomorrow I hope Harris finally shows his colors.
ICYMI, my Avi is making fun of the people wanting to blow up a 3-1team

Harris with a sack 4 hits and five hurrie but give upna big run for a TD
No one player ever gives up a big run. Defense is about all 11 all the time.
Ahem, he misses his assignment and it contributes to giving up a TD.
Okay a DE missing an assignment and that’s it. Glad you’re not the DC. LOL
😉
Naples, Santana must have been awesome that’s cool you got to see him. Sounds like you had a great time, good for you man.
On their way
It’s not Gase really. It’s all Tannehill he needs to start making plays or we’re screwed. 20 points a game ain’t gonna get it done dude. We were told for months now how much you improved and how much you were ready to lead us. Well let’s go. We need this win to stay in first place. Win it for sweet little Stella. But just win it. We need 35 go get it.
Roflmao
Yeah cuz you’ve been so right
You’ve been so phucking right
For the record: I want Tannehill to succeed. He’s a great role model for young people, he’s a family man and a good man. But we suck balls on offense and it’s on him. Fix it. Ball out muther fucker just hang it out.
Oh yeah you’ve been so fucking right

We’re not a 13-10 defense. Just aren’t but our D can ball if they get a chance. We need Touchdowns- bad.
We need first downs for crying out loud
Is that too much to ask?
We’ve won a crazy amount of games up there it’s like 7 of 9 so…
My heart says we win 27-23 but that’s utopian
Don Shula beat David Shula there. Remember that?
Son, you also can’t have 3rd down conversions called back with false starts or holding. It happens way too often just as when we get a stop on defense and a hold on 3rd down – automatic 1st down. We’re a bad 3rd down team. It’s not all about your whipping boy. It really isn’t.
The coaches have to find a way to stop this shit.
I equate this to hockey, less power plays against and more PP production. It’s always about talent and production. Keep grasping at new straws and you will do that forever. You have to build a core. I’m watching the PHI Flyers doing it. They are in the same boat as the Dolphins. Lots of young talent with some vet core and a GM, FO and HC they like willing to let it play out before calling for heads.
Keep calling for change and you will live in this same world forever. You don’t get it!
Oh I don’t get it because you say so. Ok. Nah I haven’t watched for almost 50 years.
We made the playoffs after a 1-4 start in 2016. Last year was a shit season. We’re 3-1 right now. Why is anyone writing anything off? Please explain at this time? 50 years is a joke! Like we’re entitled to something. Just get to the tournament. Root them on instead of this pussy I don’t like it crap. Stop!
You know what’s funny, Shula because he’s Shula was given multiple mulligans with Marino and never won. Most sports pundits find that mind boggling that they never won together. But because he won in the past 40 years it didn’t matter.
Has hypocrisy set in yet or not? We were not a good enough team during Marino’s 13 years with Shula to win big. Now we rag on every HC and QB during 3-4 year stretches. LOL
But let’s keep changing coaches every 3-4 years. Oy fucking vey! If we only had Marino and Shula!!!!
Does anyone else deal in facts or does emotion overwhelm you so much you can’t deal with reality?
Well here it is. Even two of the greats couldn’t win it all together and we all thought they would. What happened? Bad playing calling, poor OL depth? Nope! Poor defense and an incomplete team across the board. Whoa!!! Really… a Shula coached team? Yep!!!
So let’s never give another HC more than 3-4 years because you know, he might finally get it going. LOL

_____________________________________
2016 we had a running game, ” Last year was a shit season” because we gave our running game to philly.
true we are 3-1, but statistically speaking the odds are against us. we are getting hammered in every stat due to the lack of running the ball. the only thing that has kept us afloat is the +4 turnover ratio.
unless we establish a running attack this team is like the Titanic and going down.
Oh yeah…and Drake sucks!
2.0, 2.8, 3.7
That’s your power back starter average per run the last three games…..yeah it’s Drake and not the oline
Oh, and that includes all of his runs I am not baking any fake stats here
Glad You enjoyed Santana Naples!
Santana is near immortal, churning out top hits for 6 decades!
I don’t think anyone can match that.
Some have played for 6 decades, but didn’t enjoy success for al of them, just hung on to past glory.
And today we beat the Bengals, 21-20, go Miami!
IT’S GAME DAY BITCHE!!
GO DOLPHINS!!
Shula benefited from Marino racking up wins with an incomplete team. Teams with no defense or running game, made the playoffs almost annually.
Shula seemed happy to rack up the wins, but didn’t do what was required to win championships again after he did it in the seventies.
Marino was a championship winning QB on a mediocre team.
Shula was a running coach, and had success with it, and to his credit, He went after Marino, and tried to adjust to a more modern coach and a more modern offense featuring passing over running.
But Shula never got any team balance, and most of the time our defense was horrible, Marino had to outscore a crappy defense every week to win
Gase did a poor job preparing and coaching us against the cheats. He did well the first 3 games, so He definitely CAN do better , and I’m hoping We get a win today,
I got yelled at by Tim.
Sorry I don’t cheer properly for you.
Sorry you can never see any fault in anyone on the team.
My initial post wasn’t directed at anyone, it was about overall fandom and lack of patience in sports. You then made it about Tannehill. I still stayed on point about building a core team and then you took it personally. The 3-4 years model isn’t a good model.

A lot of bad moods out this morning, must be the moon or something,
I think this is King Tide Month , that always stresses people out with increased lunar gravitational pull
My problem with Gase is his attitude towards “taking what they give” that’s all well and good but you need to impose your will sometimes too. I agree with Rob that we NEED to run the ball to win on a consistent basis and Adam gase needs to figure out how to do it somehow rather than just giving up.
Monkey driving bus, lmao. Pretty funny, I’ve seen worse human drivers near Disney,

Yes I do believe Santana did play Jingo,
but I had 4 “customized” margaritas and
my wife was dancing in her “little black dress”
so my short-term memories and decades of listening to Santana coalesce.
LOL. ” sorry I couldn’t hear you I had something in my eye” (that little black dress) 🙂
You get a hall pass , lol
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
Howard and Fitz both with picks today
King Tide Month? It must be cause I have been catching fish like crazy. I took my kayak out to FT. McRee at the pass to Pensacola Bay. Caught 9 reds in just over an hour (7 in the slot) fishing in the same spot along a jetty.

Nice!
Yes, it influences fishing, gets them in the mood to bite!
I’m not in a bad mood this morning. Although I need good send some cease and desist letters to some you using my trademark “ph” in place of the letter f when you are telling each other to Phuck off (Son!).
We’re still just fans. We’re still not coaches or owners. We’re still just money to the NFL. It’s still just a game. Don’t let it make you miserable.
I’ll never forget My first time to Vegas, as soon as I got to the strip, I was at the front door of Luxor and this gorgeous, tall scantily dressed girl drunkenly fell into My arms , lol
I didn’t mind all that flesh draping over Me to try and stand up, she was sloppy drunk and smokin hot, lol
But i told her to sit down and shake it off because she can’t walk. I bought her a cup of coffee, I thought she would either hurt herself, or be an easy target for a bad person, and went on my way.
dang why’d you go and do that? rescue her I mean. You single-handedly morphed her into one of those sour frumps I saw everywhere..
Next trip I’m staying at the Luxor! Maybe she’ll come to her senses and return to her fun self by then. I’ll keep money for – coffee – handy. Isn’t that legal there now?
Lol, I just got there, I didn’t get her smashed drunk, and besides nobody goes for the first thing they see.. also Sloppy drunk girls are just trouble In the making IMO
Anyways I met someone else later that wasn’t so drunk, and a lot more fun, lol
Tim,
Good post @ 6:38 last evening. I believe there may be a little more to our O-Line woes than playing HC musical chairs, but you sure as heck bring forth a great point with that. We certainly need to stick with a system and see it through, for sure. Perhaps we could/would have retained Hudson Hauck or John Benton had we not been premature in firing previous HCs, thus having generated a formidable O-Line.
I definitely agree with you that THAT is part of the problem. I do not know what the other part of the problem is, what with constant injuries to that unit over the years. Bad luck? Joe Robbie Curse? Drafting fragile players? Poor drafting? It’s MADDENING to me, dude!!! 🙂
We need to stop their running game and hope Dalton chokes and throws us a couple INTs, as he is want to do. We will need all the opportunities to score we can get. That and/or a big play in the running game would be nice.
BBM, You should see what’s going on at Jupiter lately, the mullet are making their inshore and nearshore annual run, and all kinds of marine predators are slamming them, You see bait flying in frenzied panics trying to escape being fish food. You throw out a topwater and it gets trashed immediately

Are you talking about the fish or my pecks? LOL
Actually I’m jealous of your fishing spot!
LMAO Naples – That’s a great answer!
I’m not in a bad mood at all right now. That will come some time around 1:30-2PM, when we see where we’re at in this game against the Bengals.
After our 3rd straight three and out. Oy
Probably
I don’t live in Jupiter, I drive down from Disney area. I just keep my boat in the
Jupiter Marina. It’s the best fishing place in FL I have ever seen for inshore or offshore
I wish I could go out today, but it’s very windy, o well
Phelon, phine you can have your Ph even though it clearly isn’t spelled “Dolfins”. I just try not to be offensive (something Tannehill wouldn’t know anything about) with my language. Have phun with it.
Anyone notice the Saints cut Mike Gillislee? I know some folks here still like Gills
Why did they cut him?
Probably because Mark Ingram is healthy now.
Son – You can discuss with Phelon at the Phest
I’ll get in his phace lol
That’s phine just no phighting. lol
Not with Phelon he’s like phamily
This thread was phunny
Santana’s new wife is his drummer. Well they’ve been married since 2010, She did an amazing drum solo and definitely contributed to a great show throughout. Her name is Cindy Blackman.
She’s 58 now and he’s 71. They live in Vegas and are an inspiration to all of us elders to keep on keepin on.
She was the drummer for Lenny Kravitz for years in case any of you caught them on tour.
Oy ye coma va
Burrito
Okay you phinicky phops…my attorney will dephenestrate the two of you…as soon as the phlatulent swine shows up.

Loss of Cameron Wake is the final straw!! A mediocre Bungels team blows out the Fins in another ugly defeat. WHO to blame??? Those ripping Tanny, Gase, or someone else are missing the big picture. THE BLAME lies with the man at the top. The man who retained or hired those charged with RUNNING this team!! That would be none other than “Little Stevie Blunder” himself, the one and only Steve Ross!!
Ya, Ya, I know. He’s ONLY been the owner for 10 seasons!! Maybe if we give him 25 or 26 years he’ll prove he is a winner!! Well, I’ve got news for you, Ireland Breath! In 26 years, Ross, T-BOMB and most of Ross’s critics will be dead or in a nursing home!! At some point, patience no longer is a virtue!!! ONLY ONE THING can turn this franchise around. And that’s a change at the top. A NEW OWNER CALLING THE SHOTS!! Whether we KEEP Gase and TANNY, or get rid of GASE AND TANNY, it WON’T make much of a difference if ROSS is still the owner!! And I DEFY SOMEONE, ANYONE, to prove me wrong!!!
You know what you know.
LOL OD — take it you are saying you think a new owner would be a good idea. 🙂
I’m just not sure how to get the 2nd richest owner in the NFL to sell his team. So figure it will be what it will be on that front.
THANK YOU, Mr. Phelon!

YOUNG STANGER: What do Father Time and the ’72 Dolphins have in common??
ANSWER- – They’re BOTH UNDEFEATED!!! Sooner or later, Ross (or his estate) will have to sell the Dolphins. I just hope we are still alive to see it!!
————-
Cue the song “PLEASE RELEASE ME, LET ME GO!!!” –Which I haven’t heard since I was in basic training!!!
He very well may sell, but it will be part of his estate planning. He’s pledged to give at least half his billions away to charity and far as I know he has not kid interested in the team. Or the day he dies he could set up a structure to put the team on the block when he passes.
Checking first round draft picks at position of Offensive Owner.
hmmm
There won’t be a change at the top unless the owner decides to sell and someone decides to buy.
I don’t see either happening soon.
I also don’t see why this team cannot win games with Ross as the owner, We are 3-1 in first place so far
He just put $500 mil into Hardrock and now is building a state of the art tennis facility as part of it. Think we can at least assume that putting it all on the block is not in his short term plans.
X Man has to be a true superhero today protecting the good citizens in mid to deep homeland territory of Phinsopolis against the evil AJ Greenman.
The fans are more than welcome to make an offer, lol
But it will need to be at least in the high hundred of Millions to be considered, close to a billion maybe? I’m not sure of the Fins exact worth , but it’s more than I have, maybe Stanger could afford it
Sunsentinel claims Miami is worth 2.38 Billion dollars, wow
Gonna go check under my couch cushions to see if an extra 2+ billion slipped down there.
The city or the Team? Just kidding, David,
WELL, at least, some people are TALKING about an eventual change in owners. If Gillum gets elected governor. tax-wise, Florida may eventually become less friendly to billionaires looking to avoid taxes. How this might impact Ross is hard to say. Might make it HARDER to sell the team.
Let’s go Dolphins!!!!!
🐬🐖🐬🐖🐬🐖🐬🐖🐬🐖
your pig dolphins centipede is disgusting.
We sustain the each other
