Who will be the Miami Dolphins workhorse RB?

We all know Kenyan Drake is a HR hitter, a big play waiting to happen on any and every play. However, is he the proverbial cowbell running back that you can feed the ball to 20+ times a game and control the clock and have long productive drives? To be fair, he hasn’t been a given a huge opportunity to do just that. He was given a small audition, but with future HOF RB Frank Gore at his disposal, Gase chose Gore over Drake to get the slight majority of carries over Drake, and start drives on 1st and 2nd down. With Gore gone, there is no other proven NFL back on the roster.

Ballage showed some nice things last season although in a very small sampling. Ballage had only 36 carries for 191 yards last season and also added 9 catches for 56 yards.Ballage did have one huge run for 75 yards, which makes up almost half of his production, but we shouldn’t punish him by detracting that from his stats. I think Ballage may have some potential, he seems to be a solid receiver out of the backfield, and possibly offers more in the power department over Drake.

Myles Gaskin is probably the closest thing to Frank Gore in this backfield. I’m in no way saying he’s as talented as Gore, but he’s more of the low to the ground bowling ball type that that run either inside the tackles or to the outside. Gaskin had a wonderful, productive career at Washington. His 945 carries i9s actually more than both Drake and Ballage’s college carries combined! His 57 rushing TD’s is also more than Drake and Ballage combined at 57-46. His 5323 yards rushing is almost 1.5X Drake and Ballage combined. So what does this all this mean?

I think we’re going to have a backfield by committee. I don’t think we’re going to have a feature back, and I think if we’re keeping along with the New England way, we will feature a back that best fits our particular game plan that week against a particular defense. If we we’re playing a slow plodding defense we may feature Drake more to exploit their speed. If we’re playing a fast defense we may feature more a power set with double TE sets and a FB and either Ballage or Gaskin getting more carries in a power rushing attack. Just like we will be on defense, we will use personnel on offense to match up better with our opponent that week. The Patriots constantly changed like a chameleon using James White, rookie Sony Michel and RB/FB Rex Burkhead so that each week, their opponent couldn’t nail down a game plan against their offense. It was pretty effective in that regard. It’s like a baseball team trying to gameplan against 3 pitchers in one game, very hard to accomplish.

I like the different skillsets each back brings and as a unit, I think it’s a pretty solid one. This is the final year of Kenyan Drake’s contract so I would imagine he will be hungry for a nice contract next season which will give him some incentive to play his best. Ballage will want to add more of a workload from last season, and Gaskin is really the wild card. He has a lot of miles on those legs, but he might get a fair amount of carries if he can do for the Dolphins what he did for the Washington Huskies. As far as our 4th back, that’s too much up in the air right now to go into depth about it. It will probably be either Kenneth Farrow, Mark Walton, Patrick Laird or possibly even a player on another roster that gets cut once teams cut down to the 53 man roster. No matter what, I’m confident in the 3 we currently have.

GO DOLPHINS!

“…we need the meanest toughest guys alive, so we can finally start winning the division again…”

How are Mike Tyson, Butterbean, and Brian Boitano going to help us win the division? 😉

  2. Tim Knight says:

Good write Mike! It should be fun watching how it all plays out. There’s plenty of skill on offense to make plays and score points. The offense needs to build chemistry and cut down on penalties which always set us back the last few years.

  3. stangerx says:

Well done MIke E — and last thing am worried about is our RBs. But you did just convince me not to take any of them in FF.

And LOL at — “but we shouldn’t punish him by detracting that from his stats.” No one special in mind with that one I hope. 🙂

  4. what Gase thought about our rb is irrelevant now
Gase got fired because he didnt do a good job here, sorry if i dont agree with his evaluations on our RB,s

we have capable backs now, like any backs they need blocking and better coaching, hopefully we give that to them

if Flores is doing his job, and my bet is he will, he will utilize our backs to the best of their abilities, and give them the best chance to succeed 🙂

  5. im not certain we will employ a single workhouse RB, there isnt a need for it

we have more than one capable back, and they will all contribute

the Dolphins went undefeated with a trio of RB carrying the ball,
it was a long time ago, but the running games then and now share one thing in common, we will not be expecting one guy to do all the heavy lifting IMO

  6. bookman11 says:

I would make Albert Wilson our workhorse running back

  7. TIm, i agree we have to cut back on penalties this season, too many penalties is a sign of an undiciplined team, and that is what Gase had

i cant wait to see this team in action, its a much better team with Flores at the helm,

Gase is a horrible HC, he lost the players

“we do NOT have the best WR;s in the NFL, there is tons of room for upgrade”
    ————————————————-
Sure there is, im not claiming we have the best, but its a pretty solid group to work with. We will see how it goes, but Parker has stud potential, Stills is a guy who is difficult to cover, so is a healthy Wilson and Grant. this is a slashing type of receiver corp, which is pretty much what they have in NE. We will have to see how it turns out. Worst case and you are right about Wilson and he isnt recovering well, we draft a WR in 2020, add through FA, or both. with our cap situation next year and draft capital, there isnt much room to worry about it now.

    • well said, we DO have some role playing WR on the team, and we have no choice but to try and work with them,
we just dont have a WR capable of cracking the top 40 this year, unless someone just seriously steps up their game.

but yes, we will be , and should be drafting WR in 2020

  9. D says:

Wilson 8mil per, Jones 12mil per. Wilson 27, Jones 31. Its a matter of money, and part of the rebuild. I have argues plenty of times for reasons Reshad should be considered part of our rebuild future, but there are reasons to argue he wont be. Wilson, the only argument against is one injury. At his 8mil per its not a throwing him the vault keys by any stretch of the imagination. Infact we can part ways with him if things aren’t working out for no dead money next year. The contract he has is a perfectly fine one for a player of his ability. He and Stills both. The argument has deviated into just a bunch of chaotic deviations so i think im out for now, but i dont see the big fuss, we are fine and we aren’t overpaying anyone. we are actually in a pretty good spot right now. Its time to just start or moving forward.

    • the point was wilson will count 10 million against the cap in the 2020 season, this will likely be his last season
he is not part of our rebuild, hes an expensive FA pickup

teams are built through the draft, many teams add a FA here or there because its tough to fill a roster with the draft only

wilson was also brought in under a different regime that isnt here now, there isnt a sense of obligation to keep him,

unless he scores 10 TD and has 80 or more receptions yards next year , he just isnt needed for the rebuild
however, if he can do that, pay the man, but im not betting he will

    • stangerx says:

D — what’s it really matter? Wilson’s contract is what it is, he will be on the roster this year, his age fits with our future widow and we can cut ties or keep him next year depending on how his season goes. All we can do as fans is hope that he makes it look like we got a steal. So no need for a fuss….. except what else we have to do till camp opens?

  10. if we draft a guy like Michael Thomas, Deandre Hopkins, Adam Thielen, or Julio Jones, to take the double teams, then our role player WR may work out

we need an alpha WR in a passing league, we brought in Rosen , lets give him something to succeed with

  11. D says:

I dont see any reason Drake cant be the workhorse back, though i also dont understand why you really want him to be. The RB’s in the NE system have always been rotational, and a lot of them did have more specific roles where they excelled but they would be asked to do any role that was called for when they were out there. Thats said i think Ballage and Drake are very similar backs, and with Gaskin, Cox and Walton you have a combination of guys who fill out other roles while still being able to be receivers, blockers, and run both inside and outside. I dont know if i see us having a workhorse back, but Cox could be favord in short yardage situations, or a combination of him and Ballage, or Drake. I do tink that the coaching staff consider Drake their RB1 if thats what you were really asking.

  12. Albert WIlson was the NFL;s number 167 receiver last season,

166 receivers did better than him, in a league with 32 teams, this is NOT worth 10 million in 2020

he is lucky to even have a job this year

    • D says:

He’d cost us more to not have than to have. 2020 is the year to talk about him. Im for drafting a receiver in 2020, but i dont think it has to be a 1st rounder. Ill have to see whats out there. I haven’t really looked at WR for 2020 yet.

  13. stangerx says:

Long as we are looking at 2020 — Tunsil, Stills, Alonso, TJ, Parker, Kilgore and Fitzpatrick also have contracts where could let go if wanted without much of a cap hit. So flexible on them as well.

    • Tim Knight says:

Tunsil will likely get a long term deal unless something crazy happens. 2020 with be phase 2 of the rebuilding but we need to see what happens in 2019 first, who fits and who doesn’t.

  14. Mike E. says:

David – Why are you comparing Wilson to other WR’s who played an entire season? That’s an exercise in futility. He was playing really well while he was healthy, that’s what you should be looking at. Not sure why you continue to crucify him for his hip injury. If he’s not ready by the time the season starts, then I’ll start worrying, but we’re a ways away from that. Training camp didn’t even start. If he plays well this season, we can re-sign him at a better contract and rip up that last year, but I’m not worried about that at the moment. He’s valuable to us when he’s healthy, he’s not a guy with a long list of injuries. Let’s just see what happens.

    • i see your point, however injuries happen across the league, and for Wilson to come out 167, screams loudly he isnt what we need, not even close
its an extremely limited body of work, so limited, there isnt any argument to pay the man big contract money.

Wilson was in Miami one part of one season, we dont have anything else to look at, except for his lackluster performance in KC, 7 TDs in 4 years.

we may have one more year to look at, 2019, and if he gets 80-120 receptions and 9-10 Tds, he wont be 167 anymore, and then we should pay the 10 million for 2020 for sure.

he has done Nothing in Miami to warrant the big payday, but he has one last chance to do something

if he flames out this year too,,,,,,, dont have to finish that statement

    • Tim Knight says:

Well that didn’t go well. LOL

  15. wilson also missed part of 2017 with the chiefs with injuries.

he has not shown he is durable
    he is injury prone

what about the year before , 2016?
    What happened to Albert Wilson?

    By Joel Thorman@JoelThorman Sep 23, 2016, 11:30am CDT

Remember when we were really excited about Albert Wilson taking the next step as a receiver? Wilson moved mostly to the slot this year where we thought he was a great fit. Along with Jeremy Maclin and Chris Conley, I was actually a little optimistic about the Chiefs receivers.

The season started and … well, what in the heck happened to Albert Wilson?

He has eight targets in two games, good for just five catches for 12 yards. Pro Football Focus had him graded out as the worst slot receiver in Week 1.
    —————————————————————————————-

damn, his resume with the chiefs looks like shit too, he is the worst slot receiver in the game

  16. in 2015 WIlson was injured in preseason, but was ready for game one

    he has been injured in
    2015
    2016
    2017
    2018
2019? he isnt ready to go yet

but in 2014 , he didnt get injured at Georgia State, so we have that too look at SMH

  17. pheloniusphish says:

If Ajayi or Landry had been worth a shit, maybe they would both be here still. But alas, they’re headcases.

  18. kenny Stills is our best WR now
he even got rated number 10 Dolphin WR of all time 🙂

    2 Mark Duper
    3 Paul Warfield
    4 o j mcduffie
    5 Nat Moore
    6 Chris CHambers

    8 Irving Fryar
    9 Orande Gadsen
    10 Kenny Stills

  19. pheloniusphish says:

Stills is a pussy. Slides short of the first down to avoid a hit.

  20. Mike E. says:

Admittedly, it looks like he was playing against our run defense from last year in these highlights, but this guy can motor. It’s some of the worst defensive positioning and tackling you can find because he’s barely touched if it all on must runs, but occasionally you see his power and not just his vision finding those huge holes.

  21. Rockphin says:

    A few things;

    1. This is the same regime that brought in Wilson. Grier has been GM for 3 years

    2. GMAFB posting PFF grades for week one and saying he was the worst WR in a be league.

    3. Why am I even bothering to respond to these asinine posts?
    A. You are a masochist.
    B. You want to feel smart and arguing with a quarter wit makes you feel that way.
    C. You wanted to have a duel of wits with an unarmed opponent.
    D. All of the above.

  23. stangerx says:

David — we get it…. you think Wilson sucks. Why do you hate him so? Like you pointed out, if doesn’t work out can just let him go in 2020.

  24. Tim Knight says:

Not sure why any of us should be focused on 2020 as far as what we’ll need. We haven’t even seen this year’s team play yet.
    ————————————————————
Not focused on it, im just saying that if there is a reason to do something, ie move on from Wilson, thats a more appropriate time to talk about it, after we see what happens in 2019. We have a lot of picks and a lot of cap space to use in 2020, so im not focusing on 2020 im just pointing out its not a big deal right now.

  26. stangerx says:

David — how are you “getting censored”? Seems you have had a whole lot of posts go through today. Where there more?

  27. its alright, no biggie, i was done with wilson anyway. i spent more time on him than he did on the field, lol JK

  28. pheloniusphish says:

Stanger – I guess it would be more appropriate to say I’m just defecating in his dressing room.

  29. D says:

censorship must exist for freedom of speech to be appreciated! Sweet just isnt as sweet without sour.

    • stangerx says:

And freedom of speech there is on this board, as far as content at least. But that works in both directions too. You can say what you want, but then so can everyone else about what you say. Just like in a bar.

  30. i have to find a way to communicate with phel, something up his alley, here goes

i have all my post on a piece of paper, see it? but i cant reveal it, its a secret to be revealed later.

but this paper u cant see , i keep it in my suit pocket, proves im right, but its a big secret, see the paper?
the paper right here in my hand proves everything, You were wrong, lol

  31. CavalierKong says:

I think what is getting lost in the Wilson debate is, do past results always dictate future production? David has some valid points in regards to Wilson’s injuries and production. He was looking good last year but got injured, and he does have a history of injuries and not a lot of production in his first 4 years.

Does that mean it will always be that way?

I thought the Edelman argument was a good point of comparison and counter argument, but the point was never followed through and illustrated.

Edelman’s first 4 years in the league he had less than stellar numbers. He never had more than 37 catches or more than 359 yards. He was injured and out all of the 2017 season, and his injury history prior to that is too long to list here (see link below for the list). Yet he has had great years and in 2019 he was Super Bowl MVP.

If the Pets had given up on him after his first four years of poor production and injury riddled seasons, they would have lost out on a future SB MVP. It’s always possible that Wilson could have the same career arc.

So I agree with the idea this year is a prove it year for Wilson. If he gets injured again or is unproductive, he’ll likely be gone for 2020. If he has a solid year and stays healthy, then we’ll likely keep him. He’s got the talent, it’s just a matter of can he stay healthy. He is a Dolphin this year so, hopefully he’s lights out.

    https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/julian-edelman/192

    • stangerx says:

Don’t think there was any ever doubt that Wilson got paid mainly cause of his age, potential, and what folks saw on his tape. But then how many young back-up QBs have gotten traded for serious value or big fat FA contracts after coming in and showing a few good games?

  32. ill catch ya up to speed phel, no crayons though

Trump: I just received a beautiful letter from Kim Jong Un. I can’t show you the letter obviously, but it was a very personal, very warm, very nice letter.. North Korea has tremendous potential and the one that feels that more than anybody is [Kim].

    or this one

“In here is the agreement,” Trump said, pulling the paper from a coat pocket and repeatedly holding it up as he spoke to reporters. “Right here is the agreement, it’s very simple. In here is everything you want to talk about, it’s right here,” he said, without opening it up.

  35. Mike E. says:

I can promise you that I didn’t censor one word. I truly doubt anyone else here did either. Why would we do that? Let 99% of your posts go through but just censor 2 or 3? C’mon now, let’s not get paranoid here.

    • pheloniusphish says:

The Hand is behind it all.

    • i never said u censored me Mike, i have no idea who did what

maybe that wasnt even it, maybe it was a server problem, im not privy to the details of the dashboard for this site.

thats why i was double posting and the avatar was missing, weird shit was happenning that made it appear i was being censored

its not happening now, so we are good to go

im continuing to post now, so no one thinks censorship is ongoing

  36. pheloniusphish says:

  37. good question,,,

I think what is getting lost in the Wilson debate is, do past results always dictate future production?

always? strong word, probably not always
but how would you evaluate a player whether he fits on Your team or not? or how much to pay him?
i think You have to look at his past production, figure if he has any upside, or were there factors holding him back that no longer are?

    • CavalierKong says:

Very logical response. I would completely agree.

If we were looking at signing or resigning Wilson this year, I would probably be more in agreement with your stance on him. I just think we’re having this Wilson debate a year too early. We’ll get another year of data before we have to decide on him.

We have another year to kick the tires on him. It’s a prove it year for him, no doubt.

      • Tim Knight says:

He was balling last year and got injured just like any other player can. He showed what he can do already. Staying healthy is all he has to prove.

      • CavalierKong says:

Well, what if he stays healthy this year and for some reason doesn’t produce? Then it raises questions on a 10 mil salary.

So in my mind he has to stay healthy and show he wasn’t just a gimmick player with us last season.

For the record, I think if he stays healthy he will produce. The combination of strength, speed, and escapability he showed last year was impressive and not fluky IMO, but it was a small sample size. Plus he has to show he still has those same skills after recovering from his injury, which honestly may be the biggest question. Hence, prove it year.

  40. Tim Knight says:

Kong, even though Wilson was a 4th and/or 5th option in KC, he produced there too. You saw his game last year, that’s what he brings to an offense. Explosive plays!

    • CavalierKong says:

I never saw his play in KC, so can only go by the numbers. But I can’t argue your last point, as a Dolphin he was explosive.

That injury was an awkward one, and there was momentary talk of his career being on the line, similar to what happened to Bo Jackson. I’m just hoping that when he comes back, he’s got the same power and speed. If so, then he’s a weapon for us.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yeah, and he didn’t need surgery. He needed rest and rehab. He already said he feels 100% and just needs to be cleared by the doctors. The team took precautions in OTAs and minicamp to have him ready for TC which gives him another 6+ weeks.

  41. CavalierKong says:

Here is another thing to look at when you look at Wilson’s contract. Back-loading the money, but front-loading the guarantees makes him a free cut in 2020, but its also very open to be extended at a rate that matches production. In 2020 if they decided to extend him for maybe 3 years additional years, then they give him a 4 year extension which would take 2020’s 10 year and allow them to structure it so that cap hit is less (if they wanted to) and back-load the money again, front-load the guarantees and then reset the point at which he is free to cut. I mean his contract IMO was really well designed for a player with limited production but high potential.

People have been suggesting it’s some kind of organized crime hit

It is there lol. Thats damn near enough to retire down there lol.

Congrats Cav — bet you were almost as happy as that sweet little girl they took on as their superfan.

    Some interesting tidbits.

Blues won 3 of 4 in Boston for a total of 10 wins on the road in this playoff run. 3 in Winnipeg, 2 in Dallas, 2 in San Jose, 3 in Boston.

Blues were 10-3 on the road and 6-7 at home.

In all four series, the Blues were a dominating 8-2 in games 5-7.

In the 4 Blues wins against Boston, the Bruins scored 2, 2, 1, 1 with their only goal in game 7 coming in the last 3 minutes when the Bruins went empty net down 4-0.

Binnington set a rookie goalie record with 16 playoff wins.

O’Reilly scored a goal in 4 straight Finals games. Last time that was done? The Great One in 1985.

Since the wife and I moved into our new house in 2006, I have seen the St Louis Cardinals win 2 championships, the Celtics win 1 championship, and now the Blues win 1 championship. Perhaps a Dolphins Super Bowl is on the horizon…..

    WOOOHOO BLUES!!!

  66. CavalierKong says:

I have a friend with a lot of ties to the Dominican Republic. He says word on the street is Ortiz was messing around with the wife of a Boss, and that Boss put out the hit on him. Take that with a grain of salt, no idea about the veracity of that story.

    • Mike E. says:

That story is all over twitter. They were talking about it this morning after a caller mentioned it on WFAN in NY. She’s apparently an big hit on Instagram, I think they said she’s an Instagram model, whatever that is.

      • CavalierKong says:

Ah, I hadn’t seen it published anywhere yet. I don’t have a twitter account anymore. He told me that story the same day Ortiz was shot, and I tend to believe him because he isn’t a BSer. He’s from that area, has friends there, and visits regularly, so I figure it could be true.

He was also friends with the Boston Red Sox grounds keeper that was shot and killed last year in Puerto Rico.

  67. stangerx says:

Maybe Ortiz was messing with a mob boss’ woman, but remember the days of the urban myths? Talking people dying of pop rocks, fingers in coke cans and such. Would talk to relatives and such from other parts of the country and they had all heard about them too.

Guessing the spread of those things took months. In the social media age more like full saturation in 3 minutes.

  68. Mike E. says:

Kong – The story was that Ortiz bought this woman a $70,000+ Lexus, and the boss guy didn’t like that, so he put the hit out on him. No idea if there’s even a shred of truth to it though . . .

    • CavalierKong says:

It kinda makes sense it would be something like that. He’s a hero down there, so somebody with some juice had to have a reason. but like Stanger alluded to, it could just be the rumor mill down there.

      • Mike E. says:

If he (Ortiz) gets served divorce papers by his wife, we’ll have an idea it was probably true. 🙂

  69. Tim Knight says:

    The Ortiz rumors are crazy.

Usually with vets like Branch, they’re still available because they don’t want to play for cheap but teams aren’t willing to pay average players what they’re asking for.

Wives stand by them these days because of prenup papers. They woulnt get as much in the divorce than they would staying in it an holding the shit over their heads.

    • stangerx says:

Guess depends on the situation. No pre-nup in mine, but best money ever paid was getting that one done and over.

    • D says:

Pre-nups arent for peeps like you or i.

      • stangerx says:

Why not D? Pretty simple documents actually. Would for sure have one if lived in a community property state, but then don’t.

      • D says:

Im sure but most people dont guard themselves that way. It actually is becoming a seriously smart move imo, but you dont see pre-nups in anything where the income you have isnt one a lot bigger scale than most any, if not all of us.

  73. Mike E. says:

As Yoda would say . . . “Judge Stanger by his size do you?”

  74. stangerx says:

Mike E — loved the Yoda reference. One of my favorite posters ever. BTW — 98% sure that was M13 (and think about the why, even if only part of it). Ahhh the good old days.

  75. Mike E. says:

Phelon – That just might do it – Boy loves him some Amerson

  76. stangerx says:

We all want M13 back, but where has Prof Lou been? Something about those posters who keep things rolling along. Anyone still follow him on twitter?

  77. son of a son of a shula says:

    M13 come back bro
Come on man it’s all good we’d harness that pig if we could but he’s a wild bore with TDS he’s out of control, lol.

What an arm on Wilkins, I couldn’t hit that shit

    • Mike E. says:

He can pitch, I’m sure he did at some level, either HS or maybe just LL, but I’d bet he played after that.

  80. son of a son of a shula says:

Lou’s a good dude he said he was taking a break

  81. Mike E. says:

I’m suppose to be pitching this Sunday but fuck man, I’m still not right. I’m not sure how it’s gonna work. Sucks!

    • son of a son of a shula says:

Get right mother fucker the team needs you.
I bet putting on your underwear is the hardest part of your day, I hope you’re doing better pal that injury sucks.

BACK FROM THE HUMAN CHOP SHOP, otherwise known as the Operating Room.
I spent over an hour at the nuclear med department then it was on to surgery to remove a malignant tumor near the upper edge of my right scapula. They also removed two of my lymph nodes in my right armpit area. Further testing will determine if further surgery, radiation therapy or immunology is required.
    ———–
This arduous day started about 3:45 AM and, right now, I feel like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. The medication is helping some. We’ll see how much sleep I get tonight. But my major worry is my wife. Mrs. OD can barely walk with a cane. Tomorrow dhe meets with a lumbar spine surgeon. A fourth lumbar spine surgery is a distinct possibility. The challenges keep coming. But we are determined to move ahead and get better.

ST. Louis’ Stanley Cup achievement certainly brightened our day. It’s high time obnoxious Boston fans were brought down a notch or two. The Blues’ comeback from the worst record in the NHL on Jan. 2 is a truly mind-boggling achievement. In my book, it rivals the Dolphins PERFECT SEASON!! –CONGRATULATIONS CAV-KONG!!!

Get Well OD & MRS OD.

OD, wishing you and your wife all the best.

    • olddolphan says:

MY thanks to Mike E., Tim, and all the great people who wished me & Mrs. OD a speedy recovery. Your wishes have already produced results. My surgeon prescribed me some heavy duty pain medication and said “Absolutely NO driving while taking this medication.” So I decided NOT to take it so I’d be able to drive my wife to HER surgeon’s appointment today. Now I’m NOT going to tell you it doesn’t hurt. I’ve got about a 7-8 inch groove in my back that was removed 24 hours ago. But the pain IS TOLERABLE with a couple of acetomeniphens. SO it’s off to the surgeons we go!

    • D says:

He’s to you recovering like a ND instead of an OD. Hope you get well soon.

  87. D says:

From personal experience, you need a break sometimes to really realize what is an isnt important. You come back to the board with a new callous and a lot less prone to having things get as deep under the skin as it sometimes does. Thats what im hoping M13 is doing.

Also Mikey, wasnt talking about the law side of Stanger’s knowledge. I realize h practiced law, i was talking about wealth. None of us here are celeb status wealthy, so what i was saying about pre-nups is generally thats the realm of those guy. Maybe he is that kinda wealthy too lol, but i dunno, i never picked that vibe up from any of us. Some of us obviously do very well, all of us do comfortably well but i dont think any of us are celeb rich.

    • Tim Knight says:

I believe Stanger did very well for himself but he’s modest about it.

      • stangerx says:

Tim well is all relative. Put my car in the players lot in Davie and then look like a UDFA. But then drove past shanty towns in South Africa that make all of us look like Warren Buffet.

    • stangerx says:

D — my only point was that pre-nups don’t cost that much. And in certain situations make sense as part of planning…. main problem is giving the ring, getting a yes, and then asking her to sign. What’s it matter how much is in play. Am sure $100,000 to me is like 20 cents to Bill Gates.

  88. Tim Knight says:

Stanger, a friend of mine worked on a documentary about shanty towns in Africa. Horrible conditions that make any tough times we go through seem like nothing. Very sad.

    • stangerx says:

Tim — seeing how people live in some other places makes you humble. Long story why, but walked though some Mexican slums when was in college (talking people living in cardboard boxes). Talk about a wake up call.

  89. wyoming85 says:

    • stangerx says:

Guilty on that one…. seems NFLs Ds have left a lot of us behind.

    • Mike E. says:

Eh, that’s nitpicking. It’s a base defense because that’s what you’re in when you’re not in a multiple DB formation.

      • Tim Knight says:

Yeah the main difference is just that teams don’t play base anywhere near as much as they did in the past. But we do know we’re playing some 3-4 because the DTs have talked about the switch.

OK.. Who broke the blog ?

    • Mike E. says:

I read that this morning on Yahoo – What a garbage page. They also had an article why Trump should be scared of Pocahontas (Elizabeth Warren) Leaning left much?

      • Tim Knight says:

Funny thing, Mike. A cousin of mine recently let me know that my father’s side of the family was 97% Irish and 3% Spaniard after doing one of those ancestry tests. I said to him so we can now identify as Spaniards? He said sure why not, if Elizabeth Warren can do it why not us? LOL

RE: Tim’s 5:06 post. If you haven’t seen this South Park, it’s one of their best ever

    The background:

Randy sees this commercial which give him the idea he too can be a ‘victim’:

So randy ‘rigs’ his test by kissing a Native American man right before doing the cheek swab figuring then his DNA will show as part Native American.

When the results come back ‘odd’ the company has him do a blood sample. So Randy then sneaks into the lab to rig the results again, and this happens:

    PURE GENIUS!!!
