It’s not just the addition of Jordan Howard, the physical type of back we haven’t had here for a while. It’s the commitment to being capable of running the ball. The offensive line has been revamped and in almost every case they are big strong run blockers. Oddly enough, the exception is our second 1st RD pick, LT Austin Jackson. It’s not that Jackson isn’t a good run blocker, he is, but he’s not a road grader. Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley are. Ereck Flowers can be. It’s painful to look back at the depth chart early on last season after trading Laremy Tunsil. Jesse Davis at LT, Michael Deiter at LG, Dan Kilgore at C, Evan Boehm at RG and Isaiah Prince at RT. I don’t know for sure what the line will look like but my guess is it will be Jackson LT, Flowers LG, Karras C, Hunt or Davis at RG and the other at RT. Michael Deiter may give a fight for a guard spot but whoever wins this year will be locked in a tough battle.
Trading for Matt Breida puts the speed back into the depth chart at RB after trading away Kenyan Drake. Breida is a similar player, he’s a HR hitter with his speed and is a good receiver out of the backfield. Having Jordan Howard wearing down opposing defenses will make Brieda even more dangerous. I can almost guarantee you we will be a better team on the ground than last year. Of course that’s not saying much considering Ryan Fitzpatrick was our leading rusher with 243 yards. We’re going to be a much more physical team. Whoever is on the O-line is going to be a punishing run blocker. No finesse offense, that’s off the table. Just think of how much more successful our offense could be with a legitimate rushing attack. With more push from the line our backs, all of our backs will look better than their 2019 counterparts.
The only damper on my enthusiasm is the lack of OTA’s and practices which potentially 6 new starters in the run game including the RB will need. What a shame. The bright side is that opposing defenses will also be missing the time they need to jell so it works both ways. I’m thinking that by the end of the season we may actually have one of the better running attacks in football. Certainly by next season we will be even better. Well OK, to be fair, it’s not just the lack of practice and workouts, there’s the possibility there may not even be s 2020 season, although I think that’s a slim chance.
I still think Ryan Fitzpatrick will be running this team, at least early on. If he plays well, there’s no reason to change that. He’ll be glad to have Jordan Howard and Matt Breida, and Myles Gaskin and Patrick Laird will all look better, even Kalen Ballage should look better with better run blocking. I’m eager to see impose our will on opposing defenses, much like we did when Jay Ajayi was a threat to do that every game. He didn’t do it every game, but the fact that he had some dominant performances kept the defense honest, even if he wasn’t successful on the ground. We need that edge back, we need teams to respect our run game in order to be an overall better team. The best teams all can run the ball, we need to be one of them.

The convo began with a friend of my wife’s who has a son who is transgender. He said if anyone supports Trump you can’t be my friend. because he just repealed transgender patient protection. I suppose there are doctors that won’t treat transgender patients but would you want to go to one that wouldn’t want to treat you anyway? Best case on Oct 31st 2021, we’re 6-1 and leading the AFC East, Tua’s playing great, but the D is the main reason.
Average, Tua has missed a couple of games, but we’re 4-3 and tied with the Bill’s, who we play in Miami week 8.
Worst, Tua has only played 2 games winning both, and we’re 2-5, but he’s ruled out week 8 at game time, also Howard is still having knee problems
I have a problem with them thinking Rosen can’t win 1 game out of 5 on a good team, so a very poorly written article.
What they do see is Tua being what we thought he was, with his lack of success only due to injury.
Also they see the rest of the team being 6-1, meaning the moves we’ve made were good, a little iffy with the running game and OL at times being what’s kept us from perfect 7-0, but good enough with Tua.

Yall see that the cops in Atlanta walked out yesterday, refused to answer any calls, basically in protest of the murder charges brought up on the cop who shot/killed the guy in Atlanta?
I did, and that’s a dangerous situation. Don’t be surprised to see more things like this happen. Police are going to revolt because in general they are being punished for a few bad apples.
My belief is that In life there are cycles, and in each cycle you have a way of changing the cycle to grow how long you loop around in it. The choices are work on thing, put the effort into making shit better, therefore extending the time before the loop occurs, or 2, let it burn and the loop begins again.
Not to sound melodramatic about things but i think we are at the crest of this loop, and im afraid we are past the point of repairing it so we can move forward, it really feels like we are about to hit that reset, which means shit is going to be very dark over the next little while.

Yeah I saw it, but not sure what the cops were supposed to do. Their lives were in danger. The DA said 2 weeks ago a taser is a lethal weapon, now he’s charging this guy for murder, when it’s clearly self defense.
He said a Taser was a lethal weapon? It is designed to be a non-lethal weapon. I mean that someone determined it is that……. what was made to be.
The same DA said that on camera 2 weeks prior. It is designed to be non lethal, when used by a trained professional, but if you hit someone in the wrong spot it can kill.
You can’t punish the cop when a criminal acts in that manner, everything is moving so fast, that it’s really hard to make a decision in a split second, the cop acted by the book.
Guess self defense or not hinges on whether that Taser is a lethal weapon. If was a gun would be a no-brainer.
When in doubt tie goes to the guy trying to do the right thing, not the criminal that chose to resist.
I’m sure the defense attorney would like you on that jury. My take is that cop is getting something though. Not sure exactly what…..but there will be a something.

Regarding the taser being a lethal weapon. In my opinion, if it is used on a cop it is. once a cop is incapacitated the criminal now has access to his handgun and whatever is in his car, which could be a fully automatic rifle. Plus the cop is now helpless and in the hands of a criminal that he can identify.

You could do the same with a rock, but now there is no doubt you are attacking the cop and a rock is a straight up lethal weapon. Don’t know how the other cop being there affects it. In the split second he had to make that shoot/no shoot decision, I doubt he even remembered the other cop was there.
Other cop was an armed guy who had his back. Agree on the split second decision part, but that comes into play in a lot of these situations for cops. Not supposed to shoot a fleeing suspect though. What they taught cops in my county at least (and law is clear). Only difference here is the taser.

Its funny at my job we have two breakrooms int he main building, and up at the front, closer to the executive hallway, its generally on OAN or Fox, in the back near the programming area is almost always on CNN or MSNBC. Interesting study in sociology there im sure.
Ill watch whatever one is on, i parse out the information from the doctrine, but they have their little wars with the TV and the channels, especially in the front one. where you do have more of a mix of people there. The back break-room is generally similarly minded individuals lol. They have even resorted to some of the executives, and upper management at the front breakroom actually child locking out CNN and MSNBC on the front TV lol. Its kinda funny.

Rowe, Jones, and Evans would be an awesome trio for us. Let McCain be a guy who plays a little bit of everything in the secondary and then X, Jones and Iggy Mahogany playing the more defined CB roles, and thats a little hornets nest of a secondary.

Must be something in the pork lately, did one yesterday and it was the absolute best one ever.
I’ve had so much pork, I may be turning into one of piggy’s cousins. I had BBQ sandwiches with pickles and coleslaw on that night. Grits with sautéed smoked pork on top with eggs for breakfast the next day. Then had smoked pork with rice and black bean burritos with some toco bell chipotle sauce. Then made smoked pork quesadillas today at work. lol
I farted a little while ago and could swear it sounded like “Oink”! lol

Watched Coppa Italia yesterday, thank God, from a taped broadcast with FF.
It was the championship game with Ronaldo’s Juventus team vs Napoli. Napoli sat back and played D the entire game. The score was 0-0 after regulation, then straight into penalty kicks, which Napoli won.
It was the stupidest form of determining a champion I’ve ever seen. I think the NFL and other things in our lives should be careful with change. Be careful what you wish for.

I’d say CB, WR, LB, and even QB 4th (Dolphins Wire had QB considerations too), but having controversy, when I believe the 3 I listed are legit deep strengths is a good thing. Any team can have controversy with this topic, but if you don’t really have good depth, it means nothing, like are past several years rosters.
TE is our weakest depth position, but Gailey isn’t a big TE user. Safety is deep, but not great quality, RB has quality at the top, but no depth. OT depth is rather weak, but if Hunt starts and plays well I’ll change that.
We may have depth on the interior line but we don’t know if we quality depth yet. I freaking hope we do

I didn’t realize he lined up in the slot that much. He could actually excel in this offense instead of flounder. I can see empty backfields with Parker, Williams, Wilson, Gesicki and Grant or Breida.
