When I first heard the news that the Dolphins waived/injured our 5th RD pick Curtis Weaver I was furious. Sometimes I can’t help myself, I think “same old Dolphins”. I thought for $670K we could have put the kid on I/R and next year we’d have ready to go and see what he can do. Take a look at the picture up above, the dude is flexing and my modest biceps are bigger than that dudes, he looks soft. Still, Weaver was productive and many draft experts gave us high marks on that pick, a great value in the 5th RD. The Browns, who claimed Weaver have put him on I/R. To be fair, I thought Flores looked especially and unusually uncomfortable when asked about Curtis Weaver. Flores is pretty quick and direct and during the interview, he labored to answer why Weaver was cut which leads me to think there’s something more than we may ever find out. In any case, Weaver is a Brown now and you know what that means to me. (I’ll spare you the expletives)
Kalen Ballage’s career as a Miami Dolphin is also over. He leaves much like one other promising RB draft pick of the past left, in disappointing fashion. Daniel Thomas never fulfilled his potential and Kalen Ballage who I once thought could be our version of David Johnson “light” yet turned out to be David Johnson 20,000,000 gallons of helium. So with the waiving of Curtis Weaver and then the release of Kalen Ballage, the Dolphins signed DB Deatrick Nichols and claimed RB Salvon Ahmed, a former Washington Husky RB. I can’t blame Kalen Ballage completely because our organization doesn’t have a ton of cred evaluating RB’s. We traded away Ajayi (Gase), we traded away Kenyan Drake (who is flourishing with the Cards) and now gave up on Kalen Ballage. If Ballage does well elsewhere, that will amp up this feeling.
The camp battles so far are encouraging. Big Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley are making noise, winning some battles and losing others but making a splash nonetheless. I like that last years 3rd RD pick Michael Deiter is getting a lot of reps at center and is most likely being groomed as the replacement for Ted Karras who is here on a 1 YR show me contract. I can actually see light at the end of the tunnel with this O-line. Eventually, I see Jackson – Flowers – Deiter – Kindley – Hunt, or maybe Jesse Davis continues his elevated play at RT and holds off Hunt and Hunt moves inside to RG and then Kindley is a very nice depth player to have. The QB’s have all had ups and downs and rookie phenom Tua Tagovailoa is not immune to that. This is expected, anyone who thought Tua was just going to ride onto the field on a unicorn and throw rainbow TD’s every throw was due for disappointment. He’s just getting started and I’m sure there is a lot the kid is trying to absorb at this point. He’s got talent, let him get up to speed. Honestly, I expect some play from mostly everyone with the limited amount of work players and coaches are able to get in. Hopefully as the season progresses, things will look better. If that happens, that’s a good thing. I think teams that have mostly the same personnel and coaches back have a clear advantage over teams with many new p-layers, new coaches and new systems. The Dolphins check all of those boxes so keep your early expectation low.
GO DOLPHINS!!

If I was the cop would have grabbed him and put him on the ground.

That’s easy to say in hindsight, turning this incident into a wrestling match would not be a smart thing to do if you are a cop, especially with a gun in the middle of it. i’m sure the cop didn’t count the number of times he shot the guy, he was eliminating the threat. the cop didn’t know if he was going for his coffee or an assault rifle.
If the guy reaching in his car was a severe threat….. the cops could have stopped him. That is clear from the vid.
LOL
LMAO Cav! Now you got me trying to figure out which billionaire is Dr. Evil???
Piece of cake! LOL
I’ve seen that Facebook has it’s own fact checker (Almost always on Conservative posts BTW) that corrected the fact that Jacob Blake is a pedophile accused of raping a minor. He was accused and I believe arrested for sexual assault on his girlfriend (as if the Democratic fact checker thinks that’s cool). LOL
I just talked on the phone with a friend of mine of 47 years because on social media we get caught in f’d up traps. Within 3-4 minutes we get each other about anything. Social media and the network news takes days and then people unfriend each other. Totally stupid.
Facebook and Twitter are now part of the MSM. It would be akin to Hilllary saying in the debate go see my fact checker. So Facebook’s fact checker might be slightly partisan.
Just finished watching tonight’s Rays @ Marlins game in Miami. About the 3rd inning or so one observer said “The official attendance tonight was 12 cameramen,” which is only a bit short of the all time average total attendance for Rays games played in Miami!” His partner replied “Hey, they didn’t even bother to count us guys in the booth!”
The Rays won 2-0, their 17th win in their last 21 games, moving them 4 games up on the Yankees. Star of the game was Marlins pitcher Sixto Sanchez, starting his second game of his major league career. He struck out 10 and allowed no runs over 7 innings. The Marlins bullpen gave up single runs in the 8th and 9th innings to spoil Sixto’s evening.
Rays starter Ryan Yarbrough went out in the 7th inning with an apparent arm injury. If he goes on the IL he’ll be the 10th Rays’ pitcher to do so in this shortened season.
Gotta get my ugly rest tonight. It’s Lightning vs. Bruins at high noon tomorrow on MSNBC.
Holy shit, Chadwick Boseman just died of colon cancer. He’s the actor that played Black Panther and Jackie Robinson. 43 Y/O. Damn, I don’t know if I missed that story or if they kept it quiet till now, but that came out of nowhere.

I agree on Mando. Fitz is a gamer, we already know he doesn’t have a great anything, that would show up at the combine to wow. What he has is vet savvy, pocket presence, and grit, none of which he’s really going to show in camp.
All you look for from a vet in camp is, is his arm holding up or if his game depends on his legs, has he lost a step.
Post my response on Twitter, but start with Mando you’re a dipshit😉
Raekwon McMillan gone? Wow.
Sure hope we got something….pay wall makes it hard to see more.
Brian Flores…I’ve had guns pointed at me. Fake news….
Oh. By police officers. Fake news, white apologists. So sorry.
Doc Rivers is clueless, Kenny Smith is a dick, let’s not mention Kaepernick…he’s a real dick. Lebron is an asshole.
On and on….so tired of this. Fake news sucks.
Floyd a criminal, Blake’s a criminal, Aubrey, Brianna, Trayvon Martin, etc, etc, etc…..any black man shot in the back or choked is a criminal. Let’s get this shit right. I’m proud to be white because my values support/justify the righteous.
I would love to see white guys running or sitting in the car being shot by cops. Priceless.
Where is the coverage on that? I want to see it. Let’s be fair about this.
Then, and only then will things change.
The only domestic terrorism is perpetrated by white guys….why is that? Fake news, got it.
Wow McMillan is gone. I wonder why for real not the bs we’re libel to hear. He was a young productive player that we drafted.
So Baker, Van Noy, Roberts, Van Ginkle and Egouvin(sp) at LB
Stanger, something to think about, you mentioned you’re not a conspiracy theorist, like that was a good thing. Back when I was 7 I wasn’t either. I thought football and other sports were on the level, but I know better now.
When you have some facts to back it up you should consider conspiracy theories, otherwise you’re just a conformist.
I do think not being a conspiracy theorist a good thing, but guess that may just be me. Even think sports are on the level in my 50’s, even for sure there has been cheating at times. And I do look at conspiracy theories, hard not to these days. Maybe one or two turn out to be true but most are not proven and many are ridiculous on their face.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins will receive a 2021 fourth-round pick in the trade, while also giving the Raiders a 2021 fifth-round pick.
They dumped him. Isn’t that interesting.
Shocking, if you don’t think about it and smart, if you do, and interesting, because of what else we have at LB, that Flores mught like better.
Before we drafted Raekwon I watched his game tape and said, I hated him, then after we drafted him i tried to like him, but he’s just a square peg.
The Belicheat way is, trade guys after their 3rd season, that you don’t intend to resign.
That sounds good when you say it fast but this team and this coach haven’t accomplished a freakin thing yet and he was a starting talent. We’ll see obviously.
I don’t like it one bit on the surface. We’ll have to see how it works out, but that guy could tackle!
When you trade a 4th year player for a draft pick you don’t win the trade in the current year, it’s all about the future, but doesn’t mean you don’t care about the current year, just that you’re doing what’s best for the future.
All he was worth was a move from a 5th to a 4th?????
WTF!!!!! McMillan and a 5th for their 4th in 2021. Did we hate McMillan? Giveaway!
Not to cast any doubt and I’m happy with the direction of the team for the most part but why is it that Dolphin executives love to give away talent? This has been going on for a long time and I don’t get it.
You always have to remain objective. If you don’t like something, you don’t like it. Right now I don’t like it. If they prove it was the right move, I’ll like it. He was a good LB that we spent a 2nd RD pick on and we basically gave him away for nothing. What’s to like right now?
Maybe nothing is to like, but one thing unique about this year is the cap going down next year, so does this trade factor that in? Maybe, but even so I just don’t think Raekwon was someone that fit.
I’ll one up you Krishna!
Instead of just wanting to watch some video’s of some dumb ass white folk getting shot by the police (by the way there are plenty out there)!
Why don’t everyone today say “we are not going to break the law”!
Make this the most boring day in history!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cops won’t have anything to do!
Nobody to arrest!
Not speeding tickets!
No shoplifting!
ETC, ETC
That’s what I want to see!
Me, too! But, I don’t think you should be shot in the back or choked to death to make your point.
I speed all the time….shoot me!
so that’s where he went last week missing practice
How does everyone feel about these democrat run cities encouraging protesting which leads to rioting? are there any republican cities that encourage that?
why are they the only ones? people are dying as a result!
IMO it’s for political gain, They point the finger…look what’s happening under Trump…as they encourage it.
what’s even more amazing is some of you are considering voting for these lunatics!
they have committed crimes trying to get Trump out of office. now their killing people.
meanwhile Trump forges ahead running our country.
Status Quo, re elect TRUMP!
They’re
Yeah, but you have to consider that Trump doesn’t always use the right words when he tweets, so…
It;s appalling!
Uh…the Senate intelligence committee (those are Republicans) just affirmed the entire Mueller report and more…..then stopped short of calling it collusion. Lol…
McMillan was a liability in coverage, he couldn’t stay on the field all 3 downs
And his run stuffing ability wasn’t good enough to make up for it.
You gotta take a Lb out to go into nickel anyway
The problem was when teams passed on 1st down.
Raekwon, I have a room for you to rent, until you find a place😉
Lol
Dead money is less than 400k for Raekwon, with a cap savings of 1.1M.
Besides, you can’t have 2 Raekwons on your team.
The 2nd sentence makes sense.
That’s true, the writing was on the wall and we missed it

————————————
When we drafted him I was not excited about the pick. I thought he was too one dimensional. In the right system I think he could be a good player, but he isn’t a multiples kinda player. He’s a hammer when we want a scalpel.
Moving from a mid fourth from a mid fifth is a low fifth in value, so we essentially traded him for a low 5th if that helps eval the trade.
Losing a parent is almost inevitable but it’s really hard. I’m sure a few of us on here can relate. I hate it for him, tough loss. Prayers and love to the Fitz family.
Losing your Mom is a tough thing. Had trouble when my Mom passed even though had had months to adjust to it was coming. My Dad gave me a list of close friends and relatives to call (he had mine and his ready for the time). Broke down crying about every other call as people saying nice things about her or they cried themselves. Sure wasn’t a day to play football.
Krishna – It’s all relative. Sometimes there are reasons for these things happening. George Floyd was loaded up on fentanyl and he was having trouble breathing while he was sitting in the car, it’s on the video if you want to watch it. That doesn’t excuse the treatment that happened after, but he may have died either way. This latest killing could have been avoided by simply following commands. I ask you as a friend, if the police tell you not to do something, do you listen, or do you comply? It’s not just that they’re criminals, they don’t follow directions. Bad combo.

Krishna, I want to speak to you as a friend here, someone that truly likes you and appreciate you. I empathize with all you have been through and continue to go through, as my mother describe losing my father, its the worst of anything she has ever experienced, worse than losing a parent, worse than losing a sibling, and probably only secondary to losing a child.
Thats said, this person you are right now, isnt you bro, i mean i know you have always had a more liberal stance on thigs but this is venom, and its a rare and anger inside you that isnt healthy its not productive and it only seeks to alienate those around you. You are part of this family and i believe im speaking for everyone here in some respect, we love you. We are not angry at what you are saying as much as we are deeply concerned for the way it flows out of you.
If you need to talk to me, ill be glad to share my email with you, or phone number, whatever ya need. I will sau, i have hit points in my life where i was unable to bear any extra load, and in those times i fought through the issues only to find i was not being a good father or husband because it was making me someone i wasnt, i had to disconnect, find my center and come back to who i was. It might be a good thing to consider. Take time to find yourself again man. I cant make the pain go away, but i can say that the current trajectory or your healing is very self destructive and i wanna spare you hitting rock bottom before realizing it on your own.
Again, much love and respect for you, and wishes for you to find the real Krishna again.

Can’t argue with that…except never had children and cannot relate. Thank you.
Mike E so what you’re saying it’s relative for 8:46 kneeling on ANYONE’S neck is ok. Too bad he was drugged out. It comes across as barbaric and inhunane, too me. Judgement/execution doesn’t fit the crime.
I have had cops bump me, but I have never shut my mouth and “obeyed”. Who would be afraid of a small white guy??? Lmao!
No, not saying that at all. Actions have consequences, we all know that. I’ve always been very careful with police, I don’t give them lip service. It’s not barbaric, it’ life and death for both the perpetrator and the cop. You tell a guy to stop and he not only doesn’t stop but reaches into his car. I understand you think pumping 8 shots was excessive, but if it was just one shot and it killed him we’re in the same place. I would never want to be a cop, and the decisions that they have to make I would never want to make. In any case, compliance certainly would have made a big difference in both cases. Floyd wouldn’t get in the car and this guy didn’t listen to the officer and reached into his car. It didn’t have to happen that way
It didn’t have to happen in either case. Both “sides” were wrong imo. How can we make this better for everyone?
For me, it starts at the top. Stop the derisive rhetoric. It happens here all the time., too.
When, you start comments with Dems this, libs that, you’ve lost me. Why so hateful and judgemental? I rarely if ever read from the other side start with Rep and conversative say this or do that.
Funny thing, socially liberal, fiscal conservative is where I’ve been all my life.
I hate liars by the way even if you agree with everything I believe. I will never support you. Just a thing with me.
We got a 4th for McMillan but gave back a 5th….. that’s like a 6th. He certainly wasn’t in our future plans at least. Might be cause he didn’t fit the D. He’s a 4-3 Mike run stuffer. Don’t even think we need one of those much when we play a 4 Man front.
Krishna
I’ll have to admit that we do have a basic philosophical difference when it come to resisting arrest.
Where you don’t think folks deserve to be shot for resisting arrest.
I think everyone should be shot who resists arrest!
It would make it so much simpler!!!!!!
If that was the law I’d be dead 3 times over if the cops were good shots. Ran from a bunch of “stop you are under arrest arrest” commands. But figured they weren’t gonna shoot given the situation.
I would be dead if I was Trayvon Martin.
I have run, too. Shoot me.
Iv’e always went with the “Yes sir” approach?
It’s a little old school, but they have never had to pull the guns out?
Krishna — I’m talking high school parties getting broken up and one case that is too long to describe but includes me streaking . So not exactly the same, but I for sure was resisting arrest.
A little more serious than a party…..and leave it at that, in GA, no less. Searched everything when caught, but didn’t think they would shoot me.
wyoming — never had cops pull a gun on me, but have evaded arrest when saw the chance… even if the crime was underage drinking and the main penalty my Dad’s reaction.
The timeframe i lived in Pensacola was a tim where they had several cop shootings in a row, im sure BBM knows the time frame im talking about. But i was scared of them and it very much could have made me do something stupid like run when they said stop or take off during a traffic stop, etc. I didnt and i think thats at least adds to the reason im alive. I had a gun pulled on me and a group of friends a Pensacola Breach when a few of the guys i was with got drunk and stupid. I complied and remained calm, and i think that im alive because i did.
Not every cops is going to shoot in that situation, but the ones that are afraid will. Not all guys who are being detained will run, but the ones that are fearful probably will. Either way, when that fear stpes in is when this shit happens and i dont think there is truly a racial issue at play, as much as there is a class bias where the cops really quickly go from defcon 3 to defcon 2 just when they see the guy they are detaining, there is no way to get that out of a person is the issue.
The person could be a great guy, not a racist bone in his body but when the idea of self preservation kicks in as a natural instinct, fear come in and then shit can devolve from there. Just like being in the woods, ever been there at night and you hear a noise and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, that that sensation, you know your in their territory, you know they dont like you, you becomes worried you will be attacked, you get your gun or another weapon to prepare to defend yourself.
Its a natural instinct, and when your looking at this situation, the big deal is to not be confused as to who is the animal and who is the person in the woods, because both people can be put into either character, you remain calm, you keep the fear from causing you to do something stupid, you live, or at least you have a much higher chance to. Flee into the woods, approach the growling monster aggressively, that aint helping things.
It is a fundamental difference and resisting the status quo is what this country was founded on. Some things are just wrong.
Devaluing one type of human life over another is one of those wrongs.
How can this be better?
Better interaction and communication. As a country people have been systematically isolating themselves vfrom one another for a while now. There are groups on either side that just hate the other side, they no longer listen to them they no longer trust them, they no longer interact with them. Thats why things are devolving. I can remember when i was in school, there were a lot more people who crossed the lines of the different cliques i dont see that near as much as i use to. To lose tyhat fear and to open the communication, you have to interact, so the trend right now to me says we are headed for a war, and not we are headed for repairing things.
FEAR….why is that? Different than self? Different color? Background? Neighborhood? Racism? Hate?
IDIOT BRUINS PLAYER takes 5-minute major penalty late in the 2nd period. LIGHTNING convert the long power play and now have a seemingly insurmountable 3-0 lead as we start the 3rd period. —BOLTS DON’T NEED extra help to beat the Bruins, but, as we all know, stupid is as stupid does.
Tampa Bay is just one period away from taking a 3-1 lead in this best of seven series.
Jackson’s take on why McMillan was traded. He also points out they didn’t like him in coverage. Seems they want all the LB’s to either do that or get to the passers.
————————————-
“The trade met the wishes of both parties. The Dolphins had decided they preferred to play newcomers Elandon Roberts and Kamu Grugier-Hill. And McMillan had been frustrated with his lack of opportunity to compete for a starting job this summer, according to a source.”
In Full — https://www.yahoo.com/news/miami-dolphins-trade-linebacker-mcmillan-141655403.html
I think that says it all. Multiple reasons including lack of ‘multiple’ ability from McMillan. Son was right, the writing was on the wall, we just collectively missed it.
Sorry to hear about Fitz’s Mom passing away. That’s a tough one.
I also wonder why we traded Raekwon McMillan. Thought he was starting to come on.
Okay I just saw the post above about why we traded him.
Gotta admit, I had to look up Kamu Grugier-Hill. I didn’t even know who he was.
I remember when we signed him. He’s known as a ST’s ace but also has some skills at LB that I saw on some video. He seems to be very quick.
When we signed him, I must have relegated him to a depth ST signing and promptly forgot him.
McMillan was a one dimensional run stopping MLB. He really didn’t offer much else. Plus, since it seems folks have forgotten, our run defense last season was atrocious. We were in the bottom 4th of the league, so who played well up front? Oh right, everybody. Lol
***
I have no problem with this trade. McMillan gave you no flexibility in how you used him, so he didn’t really fit the concept of a multiple defense.
McMilan is a pure MIke in a Zach Thomas kind of way, or at least role. Don’t think we need that in this D.
Randy — play FF with us. Relaxed league.

I will be changing Live draft from Tuesday 09/08 to Wednesday 09/09 due to a conflict with another league live draft which I Don’t have control over … all remaining players will be FA in case something weird happens
stanger,
Thanks for the invitation, but I just don’t take the time to follow the whole league like I used to. I haven’t played FF in decades! Plus, I hate rooting for guys just because of FF when I can’t stand them or their team. Lol
***
McMillan doesn’t have the lateral movement skills like Zach had. He’ll clean stuff up in a 5 yard box at times but that’s about it. In today’s NFL, a run stuffing MLB is really a 1 down player with teams throwing 70% of the time….hard to use up a roster spot for that sort of player.
Takes about 15 minutes a week other than the draft….. but completely your choice. And you can always draft who you do like. 🙂
But agreed both that that box thumper is rare in the NFL today and that he is not Zach…. but then few are.
BOLTS WIN!! —- BOLTS WIN!! — Tampa Bay can end this series with a fourth consecutive win on Monday Night in Toronto. A victory will put them in the Eastern Conference Finals against the winner of the Philly-NYI series.

FEAR….why is that? Different than self? Different color? Background? Neighborhood? Racism? Hate?
———————————————————–
I think background and cutural differences is the biggest, but all of these factor in somehow.
Black cops kill, white cops kill, black vistims and white victims (im also including the other races but since this has been the major topic ill stick with these two). Fear and self preservation by the cops, fear and distrust of getting a fair shake by the victims, overall social animosity bred into generation by the previous, all factors. Its a huge and complex issue. I dont mind admitting to racism in this world, its all over the place and its worse now than ever on both sides, but to make it purely a race issue is to turn a blind eye to the overall problem and you have to see it all to fix it.

———————————————————————-
He is kinda that safety/LB hybrid and he has mutiple ability. Better coverage, etc. MicMillan was a thumper, an instinctive downhill thumper, but he was mostly only good between the tackles and as i have said plenty of times before, you are better off if you get the right DT’s and even pay them at a higher priority when you find the right one, than have the LB be more responsible for stopping the run. The LB’s in todays defense have a higher role and they have more responsibilities than just stopping between the tackles. You need smart, fast, coverage guys who can still assist in the middle, but again, with more responsibilities of running down people who bounce outside or keep a mobile QB from slipping out, etc. McMillan is prototype of what you want from an 80’s to 90’s defense.
The Jag’s Chris Conley doesn’t see NFL players going the way of the NBA. Other than that….interesting take on the NFL. Just ask McMillan.
——————————
“Jaguars receiver Chris Conley pointed out that the vast majority of NFL players, more so than NBA players, are replaceable; and that a similar movement would require the big names.”
“They’re looking for your replacement here at all times and they will replace you, and the show will go on without you. Until the people in the NFL who are irreplaceable decide that they’re gonna step back, and they’re gonna hang it up for a week, two weeks, whatever it may be, I don’t foresee a walkout happening.”
We have 10 LBs on our roster even after the trade of McMillan. The entire defense is being revamped. Lots of new faces. Let’s hope it’s much improved.
A lot of new additions on all three levels. Two weeks to go!
Yeah buddy! Hopefully the season survives.
KRISHNA,Mike E,Son-of-a-Son, etc.; ONE THING you guys missed in the seemingly one-sided trade with the LV Raiders on Raekwon McMillan: In addition to the Raider’s 4th round pick, we also get the rights to STEVECCNV’s Golden Knights season hockey tix!! And if you doubt me, just watch next season and see if Miami’s head coach and also their GM are at a Golden Knights game with big smiles on their faces!!!
It’s all part of the conspiracy theory concepts that govern our society.
LOL — that’s gotta be worth at least another 7th. And won’t be hard to spot Flores and Grier in the crowd. 🙂
YOUNG STANGER: Vegas is one of those cities that SCREAMS multi-ethnicity!! ——–So it DOES make a certain amount of “sense” if you think about it. –And, you know, after a hard day of scouting NFL prospects at UNLV, Flores and Grier certainly deserve a good “Knight’s” entertainment every now and then, right??
YEP, ole STEVE might be on to something here.
Krishna – I say those things because about Democrats and liberals because IMO this Democratic party in no way resembles the party that my parents so strongly supported. They are trying to appease the socialists that are in the party. If you’re fiscally conservative, how can you want the healthcare system that guarantees healthcare for undocumented immigrants? Student loan forgiveness? Who pays for that? WE do! Also, don’t assume we all want the same crappy government run healthcare system, give options! Why are they so worried about supporting undocumented immigrants? What are they doing for our own homeless that ARE American citizens? I know you’ll come back with Trump is a monster etc etc.
As far as these police issues, just the fact that you’re saying both sides are at fault puts you lightyears ahead of the people who blame only the police and wish to demilitarize and defund them and weaken them and allow assaults against police to be made a lesser charge. WTFF is that? Listen, I know the police aren’t perfect, but it amazes me that BLM are more worried about the 3-10 deaths at the hands of police (even if the police aren’t totally at fault) as compared to the thousands of deaths at the hands of their own in the inner cities each year. It’s OK for them to kill each other by the thousands but are enraged over the 5-10 questionable police involved deaths. So let’s tear down the entire fucking counry and eliminate police. Yeah, that makes a whole lotta fucking sense. That’s where my anger comes in Krishna. These cities that are ruins are all Democratic run cities, Mayors, Governors, etc. Democrats say Trump wants to fix his crumbling America but it’s crumbling because of the Democrats. Trump wanted to bring in the National Guard and each Democratic Governor bristled at that idea, you can’t take over my city! Sure, it’s fine for a bunch of lawless morons and thugs to take over the city, but not the Republican President and the National Guard.
This is what gets me hot Krishna, it really does. If the Democrats want to ever be successful, they need to move away from that socialist crap and far too left values. Maybe if they lose again in this election something will happen, we’ll see. Trump isn’t even a true Republican, I think he’s closer to the Democrats of the 60’s and 70’s as far as policy. Sorry for the long rant, but you asked, and I answered.
I have nothing but respect for you, which makes it strange that we see stuff so differently. And I’m a life-long Republican. Think those issues have been there all along. Why always went GOP. Will vote for Biden cause want Trump out. Simply cannot stand him and see him as dangerous. Will vote GOP on the other tickets though. And unless is Don Jr will vote GOP in 2024 .
Which part do you see differently? Do you not blame Democratic lawmakers for allowing cities to be overrun? Am I wrong about the healthcare issues? Student loan forgiveness? What?
” Think those issues have been there all along” was my way of agreeing with you in each and everything you said. And why been GOP my whole life. Explained why my presidential vote will not go that way this year.
OK Stanger – I hear ya. I don’t want to vote for Trump, but I can’t cast my vote for that party, it kills me the way they think. It goes so against the way I do. I do understand why people can’t vote for Trump though, I totally do.
Your vote is yours and so is mine. Can’t stand how much he lies. He does it even when clear he is like with 3-5 million illegal voters in the 2016 election cause he hated that Hillary won the popular vote. He then set up a Presidential Commission that couldn’t find any of them.
Biden lies too though, so whomever gets your vote won’t be an honest guy, maybe the slightly less dishonest guy who is more likeable.
Biden has also said some pretty racist stuff. He even got called out by Kamala Harris about second class busing in the primaries. Now they’re two peas in a pod. One of the reasons I hate politics. LOL
Mike E — if Biden has put out a bunch of lies, maybe haven’t followed him enough. Guess “slightly ” is relative though. Cause Trump sure lies a lot more than any Pres in my lifetime, or at least gets caught at it more.
I just wrote a 2 paragraph rant on politics but deleted it. I don’t think I’ve been this proud of myself since I didn’t need any help taking a shit. Lol

McMillan traded
We got a 4th but gave a 5th
I don’t think we did well in terms of compensation
But I don’t think Mccmillan fits and I’m not seeing him as a valuable commodity right now
That was his market. The team was actively looking for trade partners and McMillan wanted out as well because he realized he was not at the top of the depth chart. He was going to be cut if not traded.
He was probably out anyway, so we got something for nothing. And it wasn’t a conditional pick so maybe we can get a 3rd rounder for him! lol
Grier is doing a good job getting some kind of compensation for players who were not going to make the team. When the draft comes around all of you draftniks are going to be happy we have a 4th instead of a 5th and possible extra 7th for players who were not going to be a part of the 2020 team. 🙂
5th RD used to be our sweet spot! Reshad Jones, Godchaux, Van Ginkel,
Yep, I agree. There should be some in that 4th range who can play LB, Edge and drop back in coverage if they have to. Snowden of UVA comes to mind but he could go earlier or Chris Rumph, DUKE.
Also, I think McMillan is a good though football player, just not a fit for this defense.

Jesus you have the stamina of a teenager!
I think what’s so disappointing about McMillan is that the constant coaching carousels here in MIA have just totally destroyed all of our previous drafts. A 2nd RD pick who is a quality player shipped off for very little compensation, considering we had to throw in a 5th to get the 4th. We need some damn stability here for a change. Flores needs to be here a decade or more so we can stop purging players from previous systems that have been disposed of.
I don’t know…is it weird to part ways with a 2nd rounder after a few years
I get in theory you want to get value out of the 2nd round but it’s not like McMillan didn’t see the field or was wasted pick
If you think about the situation objectively it starts to make sense and its actually not a bad move at all. First like i said, dont think of the giving up a 5th part, in essence just look at it as we got a 5th for him because thats the overall value of moving up. Also when thinking about losing a player we developed and one that had some talent look at it as, he was talented in ways that weren’t strongly appreciated by the new system, and he was a FA next year. So since they were likely not to sign him next year anyways, and if they did it would be at a significantly higher rate, they decided to move on now before getting backed into a corner where they couldn’t do it.
You guys ever do the, “oh man i wanna say this, but if i do that person will walk three block around me just to not cross paths ever again?” thing when parsing what your about to say?

I don’t want to bust everyone’s bubble here but say we let Raekwon walk after this season. Couldn’t we in theory have gotten a 3rd or 4th RD compensatory pick if he’s a starter in 2021 with a decent contract?
For sure not a 3rd, and as each year goes by you lose a round, so we could in theory trade the puck for a 2022 3rd anyways.
Not so sure we couldn’t get a 3rd. Depends on the contract he signs, he’s a starter for sure somewhere.
It’s not really as bad, giving up in 2nd rounders, as you might think, because in one more year to keep you have to pay. It’s much worse to keep and pay someone you really don’t want.
Piggy, if you’re the HC and/or GM and you know a player doesn’t fit what kind of team you are today, what would you do? It’s not about draft status, it’s about the results of the team.
I like McMillan as a player but this defense is being transformed in the view of Flores with Grier’s executive assistance. Like I said the other night, these two guys are attached at the hip and success and failure is on them and they know that. They’re doing what they feel they need to do to become a better team. Trading a McMillan and a Ballage means someone else is replacing him.
Stanger – Google Joe Biden lies. There’s a video out there, I don’t want to put it up here. H said he was in the top 1/3 of his class in law school (he was in the bottom 76 out 85). He said he got arrested with Nelson Mandela in S. Africa (He was never even with Mandela and only Mandela got arrested). He said he marched in civil rights demonstrations (he didn’t). He said he was shot at in Iraq (he wasn’t). There’s more if you want to find it.
Biden has been a massive liar and corrupt his entire political career, not to mention what he’s done for the 5 or so family members, but Stanger hates Trump so much, that he’s willing to oversee everything Biden and the left has done, and that’s his choice. It’s not what I’d do, but its his choice, let’s leave it at that.
Thanks Mike E — couldn’t find the vid but those for instances were enough. And bad instances for Biden. You guys do get that only way am a fan of his is in a relative sense though. Like a lot of people these days.
MikeE,
Why keep a guy on roster who may not play much and really doesn’t fit your system when you’re trying to rebuild? I don’t think he’d have brought a 3rd as a comp…..maybe not even a 4th. If you don’t play him much, are other teams actually gonna sign him to a big deal in 2 years? I’m not so sure he’d bring a 4th in any other scenario.
McMillan would have been cut if we couldn’t trade him. Like you said he wasn’t a fit.
Like the Pig said, “ Sometimes it’s good to state your opinion
Other times it’s a headache.”
Alrighty then! Flyers/Islanders time!
I think mcmillan was on the last year of his contract anyway
Rosen scored a td and fg . tua 2 fgs. Defense dominated todays scrimmage
Tua was pulled on the finalvdrive
I heard Hunt is getting abused by raekwon davis and kindley is playing great
Rosen hit ricardo lewis in tight coverage on a corner route for a td
Rosen hit malcom perry on a go route play of the day
Over all sloppy day on offense
I cant wait to see malcom perry in action
It’s ridiculous how people can sit behind their computer safe in the comfort of their home and point fingers at the cops in the Blake situation. It’s ridiculous cause those pointing those fingers have never been in the cops shoes. You are watching a video over and over coming to your conclusion. On the street, you don’t have that option. You can’t replay the course of events. After you watch the video, you say they could have done this or should have done that. That is a joke. You don’t have time. It’s a life or death situation for those cops. They didn’t know what was in that vehicle.
My line of work puts me in their shoes at times. I have gone out on close to 100 arrests. Every time my heart is pounding 100 MPH and adrenaline pumping whether we are going to arrest a male or female. Scared not knowing what I am walking into. You don’t know who else is in the house. Hell, we barely have a tiny fraction of training compared to what the cops have but we have to do this. We don’t know if they’re armed and wacked out on meth. I can be talking with the defendant and all is cool. You think they are going to come quietly. What they are really doing (in most cases) is sizing you up. Feeling you out. Getting you relaxed. They are thinking how they can get to that gun, that knife, baseball bat or how to get by you and run cause they know this old MF probably can’t catch them. They don’t care if they have to hurt you in the process. I have come back on quite a few arrests bruised, cut and scraped up.
There were a couple arrests I went on where defendants had guns on them or in the residence. Three years ago we went to arrest a guy who was set up by his ex girlfriend. We had to react quickly cause she called us while on our way and said she locked herself in the bathroom after he beat the fuck out of her. Prior to getting her ass kicked she told us he was there and he didn’t have any weapons and never knew him to have a gun (we always ask). We announced our presence and for him to come out. Went on for a while. We were stalling until the sheriff’s deputies showed up to assist since they would need to file more charges for battery on him. She started screaming as he was trying to bust into the bathroom to get her again. My boss told me to go in. Him though the front me through the back door. My boss was doing all the talking at the front door so the defendant headed to the back door when my boss started to come in. I came in and he met me face to face in the kitchen. Our guns were left in the vehicle and only had a taser. I could of been toast had my boss not caught up to him and tackled him from behind as he pulled a fully loaded .38 out of his front pocket. He also would have shot my boss had I not jumped on him and secured the weapon.
I can tell you this. When I saw him pulling that gun out and if I had my gun on me, I would have started shooting and not stopped until I pulled that trigger at least 4 times. Maybe more, cause you don’t know where or if you hit them. I don’t want to die. I want to go home.
After going through that, if I was that cop in the Blake shooting and I already tried nonlethal and now he is reaching in the vehicle for something, I am sorry, but it is his unlucky fucking day cause I am shooting your ass. I don’t know what your reaching for and I don’t want to die. I want to be able to go home.
Go ahead and keep critiquing the cop in the Blake shooting. It’s your right to voice your opinion. All I have to say is that cop did not know what he was reaching for. That cop did not want to die. That cop wanted to be able to go home that night.
None of this has anything to do with justification. A cop shot a black Male, that’s all it takes to get the SJW crowd to react into protests, riots, looting…its all political BS to bring an uprising in an election year, if you think the left cares about any of us, think again, they just want power.

———-
There’s been a lot more than 1 or 2, but you have to look at what brought it about too. The clinton cash video talks about 120 deaths of people associated with them. 75%+ of them were declared suicides, really? Pretty sure they had something to do with some of them.
There’s Benghazi, Uranium One, the guy killed by MS13 that was headed to blow the whistle on the DNC, the whistleblower on Ukraine being a dem operative, Obama staff spying on the Trump admin, Durham investigation…you can’t actually believe any of these conspiracies have very little truth behind them. There’s plenty more of these too, that fall in the same category. There’s some conspiracies on the left too, that have some teeth.
Our govt all over the country (Chicago didn’t get an Olympic bid, because of corruption) is so corrupt, not sure how anyone could not be into many of these conspiracies.
I’m not familiar with all of those and you mention almost exclusively political ones. How many have been proven right by arrests and convictions? They had days and days of Benghazi hearings and Trump has been head of DOJ for over 3 years.
Good hockey tonight!
I was watching Trump handle the CNN media LOL, I believe it was prior to the covid situation and this CNN reporter said that Trump said “americans should fear democrats, that democrats would unleash a wave of violence and crime that endangers families everywhere” . WOW was he ever right, that statement was before all this crap happened.
Do you throw your panties at him like the lady folk did for Tom Jones?
