2021 Position outlook – WR

Since the Miami Dolphins own the #3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, a lot of speculation has the Dolphins selecting Alabama WR Devonta Smith to add an important offensive weapon to help speed up the success of QB Tua Tagovailoa. While this is certainly possible, let’s take a look at who’s actually on the roster at this time and under contract in 2021.

DeVante Parker, Jakeem Grant, Preston Williams, Lynn Bowden and Malcolm Perry will all be returning players from this year’s roster. Two players who opted out due to COVID-19 are set to return, Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns. We sure could have used these guys this season. I’d be willing to bet that if we had Albert Wilson, the Lynn Bowden trade never happens. In any case, it’s good to have a young player like Bowden and I think he showed us some potential as well as some limitations. Allen Hurns is a solid possession type receiver who benefited greatly when paired with superstar WR Allen Robinson in JAX. Neither Wilson or Hurns are guaranteed a spot on this time, especially with the current youth movement, and although like I said, if Wilson was here, Bowden probably wouldn’t be here, he is, and now he threatens the possibility of Wilson coming back.

Let’s look at what our WR’s did this season statistically . . .

DeVante Parker – 63 / 793 4 TD’s 12.3 YPR

Jakeem Grant – 36 / 373 1 TD 10.4 YPR

Lynn Bowden Jr. – 28 / 211 0 TD 7.5 YPR

Preston Williams – 18 / 288 4 TD’s 16.0 YPR

Malcolm Perry – 9 / 92 1 TD 10.2 YPR

Isaiah Ford before and after he was a Patriot totaled 28 receptions for 276 yards and Mack Hollins had 16 catches for 176 yards, none bigger than the 41 yard completion from a twisting Ryan Fitzpatrick. As per the norm over DeVante Parker’s career as a Miami Dolphins, nagging injuries hampered him most of the season and as per usual, when healthy, he showed us just how good and dominant he can be. Just look at the numbers there and tell me we don’t need to make a serious investment at the WR position. Once again, we do have Wilson and Hurns potentially coming back next season but both are stopgap guys, and are not here for the long term. There’s not one player on this team at the moment that can be counted on for significant production. That’s a problem.

Devonta Smith, Ja’Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Chris Olave, Rashod Bateman, Kadarius Toney and some other WR’s, we will be selecting at least one or maybe 2 in this draft. We also may look to FA which would then almost guarantee that at least one of the 2 returning WR’s from the COVID opt out won’t be back. We need playmakers, and my guess is we will be seeking a RB who can do that as well, but right now we’re discussing WR’s.

In the 2021 Free Agency class, the list is headed by guys we won’t be looking at. A.J. Green, Allen Robinson, Larry Fitzgerald, T.Y. Hilton etc. We’re not going to pay that kind of money but a guy like WR Marvin Jones who played for the Lions and is 31 and should come in under $10M might be a target. He’s been good for 60-70 receptions and in the neighborhood of 700-1000 yards a season and close to 10 TD’s. I think we need consistency and Marvin Jones is that guy. There are a lot of other talented and younger WR’s available, like JuJu Smith Schuster but the cost will prohibit us from looking at them. A lot of who we look at will depend upon who is hired to be our new OC in 2021 as former OC Chan Gailey decided he’s had enough.

I’ll be looking at different segments of our roster each week, I just felt that Wide Receiver was so hot right now I may as well run with that. I suppose fro some of you readers I should be looking at QB’s next but sorry, not going there! I’ll probably look at RB’s next. After all, this is about getting Tua weapons to succeed, so the team succeeds, right?

GO DOLPHINS 2021!!!

We truly don’t know what Tua will become based on his half-season performance. And, one cannot and should not make comparisons to other rookie QBs. They weren’t rehabbing and could work on their craft. It’s comparing apples to oranges.

For me, it comes down to a 5 year starter, probowler, and the compensation.

    Vs.

Continue to build your young team with a “rookie” QB already in-house with a head start for next year.

For what it’s worth, I don’t like ‘The Atlantic’, for obvious reasons. What’s more, I don’t want to lose our R1P3 this year, being we can parlay that for more picks.

We can be more creative than this, with the Texans receiving better compensation.

go fuck yourself is the answer to that trade

  3. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

It boils down to the evaluation they made on him at the end of the year. They have a much more detailed report than we do. Lol

Any trade made for Deshaun is about opportunity it has nothing to do with Tua. He’s top 5 (really top 2 young ) QB in the league you only get that from draft luck or golden opportunity and Deshaun potentially being available is a golden opportunity.

Bienemy is interviewing with Houston remotely if he gets the job he’ll get Deshaun all happy again.

Mike, if they were shopping a deal for Stafford or Goff then it would be the kind of ugly you’re describing but Watson is different level people would understand.

GOTTA AGREE with Mike E. and those who oppose giving away too much to get Watson. I believe TUA will give a measurably better performance in his next season, ESPECIALLY if we get Smith at R1P3 and either Harris or Barmore with R1P18. I expect both of our second round picks will also significantly improve the team. STICK with the PLAN and “GO WITH THE ‘FLO!'”

MANITOBA: Watched as the NYI beat Boston 1-0 by scoring late in the final period. Also watched as clown Brad Marchant, one of the absolute worst cheap-shot artists in the NHL, took a cross-checking penalty with about 7 minutes to go. Cross-checking can, and has, ended many a hockey career. It should be A MAJOR 5-MINUTE PENALTY in all cases (and a game misconduct if the injured player can’t return to the game). One of these day I’d like to see Pat Maroon or some other Bolts’ player “take out” this filthy rat and hit him so hard he lands back in Quebec!!

Where’s Gordy Howe’s twin when you really need him??

  11. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Watson is a very good QB but he is not top 5. He is not better than Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, Wilson. I don’t think he is better than Tannehill right now. I would take Kyler Murray over him right now. Watson is on par with a talent David Carr who is a damn good QB but not top 5

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I know you like Allen a lot but I think it’s a little crazy to say Watson isn’t better than Allen.

Two guys have really separated themselves: Mahomes and Rogers

I think Wilson is probably number 3

But after those three, Watson is probably a legit contender for 4

No way Murray or Tannehill are in the same class

Watson was good as a rookie. And he’s passed for 14000 yards and 100 TDs in 4 years
He missed 1 game in the last 3 years
He lead the Texans to the post season in 18 and 19
And he’s a 3 times pro bowler now

You really can’t ask for much more from a QB

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

Allen is the 3rd best QB in football right now. If Rodgers wasn’t there he would be MVP. Watson has put up numbers and I am not saying he is not a good QB. He is good, real good but I would take Allen over him in a heartbeat. The other thing is he had some great talent around in the past but has ultimately not delivered. The Texans thought they were a player away and pulled the trigger for Tunsil and that wasn’t the case.

      • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Allen had a great year so far. That’s it. Over the course of their careers Watson has done much more so far.

      • Ken's avatar Ken says:

At the moment Allen is the better QB. I actually don’t think it is even close now. Allen is bigger, stronger, faster and his passing skills have caught up to his physical skills. He is a freak. He is the closest thing to Mahomes right now

  12. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

Tua actually passed for more yards as a rookie than Watson did as a rookie

  13. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Why is everyone talking about Watson? Oh right never mind. LOL

  14. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Son – What people? You draft a QB at #5 and you knew he was coming back from a horrific injury. You decide you want to play him in a season where there was no preseason and since he wasn’t going to be the starter, he never got 1st team reps until the week before he was going to play. You make the decision to go all in with Tua and start him for the rest of the season after Game 7. Then the Texans QB says he wants out because he was butthurt about some personnel decision he wasn’t given an opportunity to sit in on, and he was promised he would be, so now he wants out. So we’re supposed to ditch every machination we have made the last season plus to try and get this QB who is among the most talented in the NFL by surrendering not only a cache of draft picks, probably 3 + 1st RD picks and the very same QB you drafted at #5 last season and began to build around. I’m sorry man, there’s no angle I see from which the Dolphins can possibly look like an organization that has direction or leadership. The fact that they’d be willing to do a 180 and trade the QB they just drafted for a disgruntled QB from another team to me looks like chaos. I understand he’s a great player and we didn’t know he would be available, there are probably about 25 other NFL teams that can say the same thing, but that doesn’t mean they will be trying to get him. Now nothing has been said that the Dolphins have even picked up the phone to talk about this and I doubt they ever will. They may answer a call from HOU, but we won’t be seeking out this trade. Truth is, my best bet is Watson stays put in HOU and I hope I never find out that we tried to get him.

  15. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

    Mike E

Looks like your Mets hired a fine on for their new GM! Lmao.

Seriously tho….what fuckwad sends dick pics to someone that obviously doesn’t want anything to do with them? I just don’t get that shit at all.

  16. sb7mvp's avatar sb7mvp says:

Aside from the fact that Watson is garbage, this team doesn’t have the roster to make that trade. It’s subtraction by addition. Stay the course, continue building the lines, and add weapons. This is the long game.

  17. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

You don’t win a SB by trading away the farm AND pay a running QB with marginal arm talent 40M.

Are people on dope? Just say no.

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I think Watson’s arm talent is top shelf

I don’t want to pay him the salary he’s about to take on though. Eventually though in this league, you are going to pay your QB big money. So if you have a good QB it’s a matter of time

My main issues are a. Giving up on a rookie QB so soon; b giving away our draft picks

I say just say no too, but for different reasons

Watson is a very good QB in my view. One of the leagues best. But we need to stick with our plan and with Tua

      • steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

I agree with all of that, except on Watson.

Why has he been dangerous? Because he scrambles around and makes plays.

What happens in 4 or 5 years, when he can’t run like he does now? Cam 2.0

If we trade for him we won’t have the talent around him. The window might be 1 year.

I’d even have to think about Mahomes for the compensation that’s been floated for Watson, but I’m not giving up ridiculous amounts of assets + pay Watson 40M.

  24. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Ok, I am done with the video’s…after this one. lol

We need to roll with Tua next year. That will be the real test for him. If he is not the guy then we need to draft QB Sam Howell in 2022. He is the real deal. He has it all. Leadership. Strong accurate arm, there isn’t a throw he can’t make. Great foot work, always setting and resetting. Very good pocket presence and mobile.

The video is long but worth watching him and also watch WR Dyami Brown, wears #2, who will be in this years draft. Brown will be gone by the 3rd round though, IMO. If we were to double down on WR early, it would be DeVonta Smith at #3 and Brown in top of 3rd for me. He had back to back 1000 yard seasons averaging 20 yards per catch and 20 TD’s.

I don’t know how that posted.

Most of his throws are short and accurate, but I don’t see a big arm. On throws downfield most are underthrown.

I did like what I saw live this year, but really not much more arm strength that Tua, if any.

  25. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

I saw an interesting Mock Draft where trades were allowed…

Dolphins trade back to Carolina’s #8, getting this year’s #73, plus Carolina’s first AND second rounders next year (giving us three years in a row with 4 picks in first two rounds!).

With 8th pick Dolphins take Waddle (Smith was taken a #7).
Dolphins then trade up from 18 to 13 (giving up their #72) to take Micah Parsons.

So Waddle and Parsons, PLUS an additional 1st and 2nd next year. Well done, IMO.

Only bad part of this mock was the Jets (who traded back to 7) got both Smith and Harris.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Yeah, that would be a good deal but would suck with my main 2 guys going to Jets. I almost puked! lol

I have seen a few mocks having us trade down with Carolina. The latest really sucked by CBS Sports. They had us trading down to #8 and only had us getting their 2nd and 4th round picks. No future picks. I didn’t even look at who the writer was.

      • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

ugh, no future picks. Hell with that. #3 is a primo pick. If no future picks I’d just stick at #3 and take best non-QB player available. If we really want Smith, and not Waddle, then #8 might even be too late (I see lots of mocks where Smith doesn’t get past Eagles at #6).

  26. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Rhino and BBMike

If we do a draft like that one, we have to make sure we work in the RB position in round 2

Will Harris or Etienne be there I’m the 2nd round – we pick early enough in the 2nd to have a shot

But if they aren’t, I’m not sure the drop off to Javonte Williams is that huge
Some people think he’s a better RB

  27. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

You can see a really good blend or power, balance and acceleration now

  28. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

If you guys are set at Harris or bust, you better settle in with the idea of taking him at 18, bc waiting for him to drop to 35 is quite a gamble

    • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

I agree. Having our coaching staff around a lot of these guys for the Senior Bowl will be a HUGE plus…. ‘hands on’ evaluation of temperament, work ethic in practice, etc, etc.

They should go into the draft with an idea of who to go after. We know they are NOT afraid of “reaching” cuz outside of Tua, most of the rest of last year’s draft were considered ‘reaches’…. but they fit what Flores wants to do.

  29. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

We have enough $$ to solve one or two positions in Free Agency. PFF has us signing both Aaron Jones AND Bell. LOL $11m for Jones, $5m for Bell.

Wilson and Hurns may also be back in the mix.

There are also some good OL in this FA class.

Is there any player in this draft that Fins would say “we’re gonna suck for a long time if we don’t get this guy” (?).
Rather than “doubling down” on one position in the draft, I can see the doubling down with 1 FA and 1 draft pick … that way you for sure have the vet in case the rookie struggles. (They tend to hit a wall 2/3s through the season… Those extra 5 to 6 games BEFORE playoffs can be taxing on rookies).

He’s always been a huge proponent for him getting in. If you have a chance, listen to it. He did a real good job. How the hell he isnt in is just crazy.

  34. bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

I know he got stopped cold by Notre Dame … 11 rushes, 28 yds and 2 rec, 10 yds.
    ————————————————–
Javonte Williams did better than Travis Etienne running the ball against Norte Dame.
Etienne 18 carries for 28 yards and 1.6 average.

Neither compare to Harris but I would take Williams over Etienne. Williams was the leader in forcing missed tackles and in yards after first contact. He is a bull. He is a good receiving threat and really good in pass pro. He runs with a low pad level and always leaning/falling forward for extra yards when finally being tackled.

He is the best well rounded RB after Najee Harris. I was harping on him months ago.

If we miss on Harris for whatever reason, I hope they go after Williams.

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

Also, Williams got dinged up in first half of game before ND game. He was not at 100% vs ND.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I wouldn’t just look at one game.

Najee Harris is not going to last to the 2nd round like I’ve seen him ranked on some sites and others who are hopeful for that. I think #18 is a prefect spot for him but I wouldn’t be surprised if he went before that. He’s not just a big thumper RB who breaks some big plays, he’s a great receiver. He can play in every situation. He’s a gamer!

  35. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

FYI, two of the best WRs in the game today were drafted in the 2nd and 5th round. There used to be a phrase that RBs are a dime a dozen. That’s changed in the last decade, WRs are a dime a dozen. Most college teams utilize 3 WRs just like the NFL most of the time. Throw some TEs in there too. There still is such a thing as a special RB.

  41. Randy's avatar Randy says:

I really hope we don’t pick a RB in the first round. I’d much rather draft OL and WR if they go offense in the first. You can still be successful in this league if you don’t have a great running game. You don’t have much of a shot if you don’t have a pretty good passing game. That’s typically where your points come from today.

Also, you may get a special guy, but you’ll probably end up with just a good RB…not a game changer…..there are very few of those, ever. Nobody in this draft looks the part. And, you can pretty easily get comparable production from guys much further down in the draft. Lots of the top backs now weren’t taken in the first. Sure, the cream of the crop is usually in the first couple, but again…you can get very comparable output from guys drafted much later.

RB has always been a position that looks so much better in college than they do in the pros. Projecting them can be tough. Plus, teams are trending towards RB by committee more and more these days. It makes sense financially, for ST, offensive trickeration and health-wise. I won’t be upset if they decide to go that way, but I don’t think it’s necessary. 2nd round would be okay.

  42. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

We’re 10-6 in 2020 with a very young team and fans still act like we’re years away. Okay! It’s about playmakers. We’re not that far off. Tua is our QB and two more impact players make a big difference on both offense and defense. Oh we have so many holes. Not true! LOL

Do you look at other rosters?

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

      Scoring points helps. Lol

Tua needs to take a big step and the OL needs to come together. They’ll bring in new ball handlers so I’m not too worried about that part.
The defense is ahead of schedule and they are only going to improve it.

They went out and won the games they were supposed to. That hasn’t happened in a very long time!

  43. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Aaron Rodgers is a great QB. But without RB Aaron Jones and WR Davante Adams it’s not the same. Difference makers!

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Rodgers makes his receivers. None of them have amounted to anything outside of him. GB has given him absolutely nothing for over a decade now.
He finally has a competent OL and now you’re seeing the difference. RB is is average and when they dont sign Jones he’ll be average somewhere else GB doesn’t win 5 games without him…

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Really… he is why what Jones and Adams do? They do awesome stuff too.
Don’t get me wrong Rodgers is the most talented QB, and he also lost his LT in Bakhtiari. LOL

Those three can change a game if you have a good team.

How are the Dolphins that far off if that kind of stuff starts happening?

      • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

Rodgers is simply on another level. Plain and simple.
Again, what WR has done anything since leaving GB?

        Dolphins don’t have that luxury.

  44. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I can’t wait for 2021 with no trade for Deshaun Watson and it’s Tua and a new offense.

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

I agree. Keep to plan and keep going.
If Tua doesn’t clearly show he’s the man next year, they’ll look to upgrade. No biggie.
But giving everything up they worked to acquire would be a mistake imo.

  45. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

  46. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

ER, it’s all about playmakers. We act like we need so many positions. No we don’t. We need a difference maker on the front 7. I don’t care what you call him – Micah Parsons fits that bill at #3. Then you add a RB like Najee Harris at #18. How does that not change the dynamic of this team?

Parsons chases players down that the average guy cannot. Harris is a mismatch a lot of the time against LB and S. These two players change everything. On both sides of the ball. 🙂

  47. Krishna's avatar Krishna says:

“l think we are pretty far away on terms of overall team talent. We need a lot more pieces….”

We need at least 2-3 core pieces on offense and much better depth. We need at least 1-2, probably 3 more core players on defense. Again, with more depth. We are not a top 10 defense, for sure, especially if you give up 50 plus points in the most important game of the season.

And, we have a “rookie” QB starting (has a head start) next year as far as I can tell.

    Come on? Let’s be real.

Close is 1 or 2 pieces, not 5 or 6 with questions at QB.

We overachieved in my opinion this year and that’s a GOOD thing. It’s more a testament to the coaches, culture being created, and staying the course management has set us on, imo.

How quickly we forget after ONE unimaginable season under unforeseeable conditions.

  50. The U.S. death toll from the coronavirus eclipsed 400,000 on Tuesday in the waning hours in office for President Donald Trump, whose handling of the crisis has been judged by public health experts a singular failure.

The running total of lives lost, as compiled by Johns Hopkins University, is nearly equal to the number of Americans killed in World II. It is about the population of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Tampa, Florida; or New Orleans. It is equivalent to the sea of humanity that was at Woodstock in 1969.

“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,”
“This is their new hoax,” Trump

“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

“My administration has taken the most aggressive acts in history to prevent the spread in the United States,” Trump golf and tweeting are aggressive acts?

“We have to have law and order.” Trump the king of lawbreaking and chaos

Once upon a time, there was a non-conforming sparrow that decided not to fly south for the winter.

However, soon the weather turned so cold that he reluctantly started to fly south. In a short time, ice began to form on his wings and he fell to earth in a farmyard, almost frozen. A cow passed by and crapped on the little sparrow. The sparrow thought it was the end, but the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy, able to breathe, he started to sing. Just then a large cat came by, and hearing the chirping, investigated the sounds.

The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping bird, and promptly ate him!

    The moral of the story:

    1. Everyone who shits on you is not necessarily your enemy.

    Dolphins get SF 12th overall pick (2021); 43rd overall pick (2021); 1st round pick (2022); 2nd round pick (2022); 5th round pick (2022)
    Dolphins draft:
    #12(SF) WR Devonta Smith
    #18 LB Micah Parsons
#35 OT Tevin Jenkins (Not a big fan of this pick but he is a RT)
#44(SF) RB Javonte Williams (Najee went #34 to Jets, boo)
    #50 OC/IOL Landon Dickerson

At 35, I think I would have taken DT Jay Tufele, Edge Carlos Basham, Edge Hamilcar Rashed Jr. or even WR Rondale Moore (WR Kadarius Toney was Jags 2nd 1st round pick)..

I barely go on Facebook anymore. I don’t want to engage with people on politics on that forum bc it’s crazy and a lot of the people I’m friends with on Facebook go back to grammar school

On Twitter, I have different accounts. One for sports where I can just mute politics. And another account devoted exclusively to politics – so I don’t get frustrated when politics comes up , I expect it…. lol It’s a good outlet for me.

But Facebook is a nightmare bc it usually includes friends from decades ago that I might not see eye to eye with. It’s very hard to tone down the politics on Facebook IMO

You can pull that off on Twitter though by just muting or unfollowing. Or you can engage like I do if that’s your thing

My political Twitter account keeps me from waking up in the morning and posting unsolicited politics before 10am on this blog which seems to be a reoccurring theme lately here

You can definitely navigate some forums more than others or you can shut them down like Randy suggests. I have effectively shut down Facebook (I haven’t closed my account) and don’t engage in politics there . Twitter not so much, but one of my accounts exists solely for that purpose. That works best for me. To each their own though.

  70. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Randy – It’s not that it makes me unhappy, just disappointed to see people I like with such strange views. I suppose it frustrates me to a point, so you’re not wrong. I do like other aspects of FB, like talking to certain people I don’t see often, it’s a good forum for that.

with 32 mil under the cap, who do we dump?
Ogbah? Fins will save 7.5 mil if dumped
Bobby Mcain, dolphins save 5.66m if dumped
Eric Rowe, if dumped saved 4m
    Fedgelim saves 2.53
I would try to restructure Ogbah, Mcain gets the hook, save Eric Rowe and dump fedgelum.

I think we have had safety issues, we need to get a good safety in FAcy and get away from Mccain

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

      Am I missing something?

If we are 32m under, why do we have to dump anyone?

Restructuring I kind of get, but aren’t we better off taking cap hits in 2021 for those guys?

I actually think we should start extending people now if it helps open up cap room in 2023 and beyond. We are a young team, we are getting younger too. If our young players work out we are going to get hit hard with cap issues in 3-5 years

    • bailbondmike's avatar bailbondmike says:

BBM – I use whatever i get in the charcoal section to start my smoker. They are all some version of paraffin and sawdust and food safe (Green Egg makes some). Definitely don’t dump burning charcoal in from the top of your hopper! It’s meant to burn from the bottom up. Just stick the lighter(s) in the little slide out rack under the hopper (bottom door) and light them. It catches really easy – I used paper the first couple of tomes.

Be sure to season it per the instructions per the instructions. If you use lump charcoal (I prefer 100% hardwood lump) watch that any bigger pieces don’t get wedged sideways and keep the charcoal from dropping (you will lose your burn if it does). I like to put a single layer of wood chinks, then a thin layer of charcoal, followed by a thin – medium layer of wood chunks, then fill it with charcoal. This allows you to get your smoke going early, as soon as it hits temp (which it does really fast).

    Good luck!

I worked the rest of the morning and when I got back from lunch said “let me check me stock” LOL Well it had doubled in 3 hours. I sold 1/2 and held it for another 3 weeks at which point I sold it at 6.76 a share. I used the 120K I made on that trade as a down payment on my first house.
