Our offensive line going forward, assuming there are no cuts or trades sets up relatively economically. The highest paid lineman is last years big FA acquisition, LG Ereck Flowers. As expected, he was somewhat overpaid as free agent pickups usually are. I thought Flowers played well, especially in the run game, he is a mover, often getting the best of his man and getting a good push downfield. The big question will be who plays center in 2021. Ted Karras was signed to a 1YR deal last season and is an UFA. Third year OG/C Michael Deiter played 2% of the snaps and played in all 16 games as a ST’s player and backup. He did play most of the backup snaps at C. It’s possible he’s the answer at center next season or perhaps we acquire a center in the draft. Deiter did play 93% of the snaps in 2019 at LG The Dolphins got a first hand look at the Senior Bowl at 2 potential draftees in Oklahomah’s Creed Humphrey and Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Quinn Meinerz. Humphrey could be one of the earlier centers off the board, probably not until RD2-RD3 while Meinerz would be a later pick. It’s also possible Ted Karras gets re-signed.
1st RD draft (#18) started 12 games and played in 13 games missing a couple due to injury. He was acceptable, not dominant in any way, but consider he had just turned 21 and has a lot of growing to do. I think he clearly has his best football ahead of him. A full offseason of working out and training camp will have him in better shape to start the season. The other 2 draftees that played a good amount of the time on the O-line were 4th RD pick Solomon Kindley who played 70% of the snaps at both RG and then LG when Ereck Flowers was injured. Robert Hunt (2nd RD) played RT and played 68% of the snaps. Both of these guys are veritable mountains. Kindley did have trouble pulling which is expected from such a large man (6’3 340). Hunt while not as heavy as Kindley is still a big man at 6’5 330. Those 2 guys provided some nice run blocking when they were both on the right side.I’d say they were adequate at pass blocking. I never felt like the O-line was a sieve as I have felt in many years watching this team play.
My preference would be to draft a center, and he would compete with Michael Deiter for the starting job. The aforementioned Creed Humphrey could be one the first centers off the board. Other top center prospects are Alabama’s Landon Dickerson, Ohio State’s Josh Myers along with Trey Hill from Georgia. If T Penei Sewell is available at our pick, and he should be at #3 if we stay there, he’d be an upgrade over Austin Jackson or Robert Hunt but I don’t think we go that way. Weapons for Tua come in different packages and top OT to protect him wouldn’t be a bad thing but my feeling is we’ll continue to let young Austin Jackson develop at LT and go forward with big Robert Hunt at RT. I think we’ll be looking for playmakers for Tua with our first pick whether at #3 or later. Think Ja’Marr Chase or DeVonta Smith.
GO DOLPHINS 2021!!!

I don’t understand all the Facebook posts?
I use facebook to see Pictures of all my friends and family eating lunch.
The “blocked” button discourages the posts I don’t want to see!
Works the same on Twitter
Hell I come if I want to here a bunch of whining! 😉
I love the finger pad sometimes. SMH
I realize a lot of people (not just here, but Phins fans on social media) want us to draft Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama. I’m sorry, but his injury history is bloody fugly. I wouldn’t touch him unless he falls to the 4th or 5th round.
I’d just re-sign Mongo’s great nephew, Ted Karras. Who knows… perhaps Landon Dickerson actually falls into our laps in the 4th or 5th round, where he’d be a far safer pick.
Season ending health issues for Landon Dickerson:
2016: 6 games + ACL injury
2017: 4 games + ankle surgery
2018 (RS): 2 games + ankle injuries
2019: Healthy
2020: Knee ligament
Only ONE year of health over the last 5 years doesn’t scream reliable… and people bitch about DeVante’s health. Know what I’m sayin’?
The streaker at the super bowl last night bet 50k that there would be at least one streaker at the super bowl
And he made 375k on the bet
And got out of jail for 1k
So he made 374k for that
i made a years salary in the last 24 hours on BTC< Doge coin, and Ocugen, and some other outperformers, the markets are on steroids!
Ocugen was the number one gainer in the nation today, 248 percent, and for the last week almost 800 percent !
i had OCGN as a penny stock, 2000 shares at 20 cents, and it it passed $18 today
Ocugen has a new vaccine that doesnt need refrigeration, and works against the UK variant.
totally blowing away moderna and pfizer, both expensive stocks that are ok, but not top performer in the nation like Ocugen
You only made it if you cashed in and incurred tax consequences. Facts.
o contrare , i have limit buys that cash out some of the peaks, and when it dips hard the next day or two, i buy a few back
im making enough profit to build a new house from it
correction, limit sells that cash out some of the volatility peaks
im holding ocugen until it hits $40-50, i have held it for months, it wont go below 20 cents again, ever
I think Krishna means if you turn the stocks into cash
Even if you don’t, you have to report interest gains for tax purposes don’t you?
I DO believe that Penei’s stock rose with us after the smoke cleared from last night’s Super Bowl. If we really do like him, we’d have to take him @ R1P3. Most of me wants to trade down and get an additional 1st rounder next year, and surround Tua with weapons instead.
However, I think Penei is certainly on our radar now, more than ever before last night. As I stated a few weeks ago… YES, Penei has played RT in the past. That muscle memory is likely still there, so moving him to RT to protect Tua is in play, as far as I’m concerned.
if he was a penei stock, i would buy, lol
agreed, Mahomes had NO time to throw the ball
Correct… if our O-Line can’t do anything for Tua, the same will happen to him.
Michael Deiter… it’s time for his balls to drop. As a day 2 pick in ’19 out of Wisconsin, this guy had better get his $#!t together. He was supposed to be a starting Guard for us, but he’s slumped to the tune of our backup Center.
T’will be interesting to see what we think of him in the 2021 Draft.
So are they going to trade to get him back?
He played very week for them
If SF is tired of him it makes sense
cam newton has little value, but fig newtons are good, lol maybe they will take fig newtons in a trade,,,,
I think you’re confusing him with someone else, maybe Garo Polo🤔
yes Piggy, have to pay federal taxes on gains this year, next year
but im in FL , no state income tax
I mean at the end of the day you have to pay taxes on any profit whether it’s stocks or not, so I guess if stocks are you thing – why not
I personally don’t love the stock market but if that’s for you – go for it
I just thought for a minute you meant there was a way not to pay taxes on Income…
this is my work from home job, lol so yea, im into it
there are ways to avoid some of the taxes, but i always get a hefty tax bill
Piggy , $OCGN has a $60 price target , its still undervalued, and has plenty of rise left if You are interested
Nope
Sorry, but I don’t dabble I’m the market
There is difference between unrealized gains and losses (some say these are profits) which is the difference between cost and market value, and realized gains and losses upon selling debt or equity securities which becomes taxable short or long-term capital gains.
You don’t avoid taxes unless you’re cheating. Legitimate deductions can help reduce taxable income or lower your tax liability.
Language makes a difference. Tax avoidance is frowned on by the IRS.
Exactly. Stocks don’t become taxable until you sell. And when you sell (long-term/short-term) impacts the tax rate.
M – It’s funny that you say Penei Sewell has become a bigger target on our radar because I’ve been seeing that all over twitter. Question, do you think Grier and Flores needed the SB game with the Chiefs being undermanned on the O-line to know the value of having a competent O-line with depth? If we take Sewell, it had nothing to do with the SB and everything to do with he’s a great player. If we don’t take Sewell, do you think they just don’t get it, or do you think they just feel confident in what we already have? What I’m saying is, the SB affirmed what can happen you lose valuable depth for a unit. If they had their 2 tackles healthy but lost Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman or Demarcus Robinson they would have also been in trouble. Tough to overcome stuff like that.
^
People like to go from one extreme to the other. Not sure how going from Fisher to an incompetent tackle means the blueprint is there we must draft Penei.
Agreed, it’s just an overreaction
Kansas City didn’t lose because they couldn’t protect Mahomes. They lost because they didn’t bother adjusting their offensive plan nor did they commit to establishing the run game. That and the defense couldn’t stop getting flagged for holding and interference. When they did find something that worked, they went away from it quickly and back to the same crap that wasn’t working.
They lost because of all of the above.
correct, d, all of the above
the calls were going against the chiefs too, what is it with brady and refs cheating , SMH
krishna, i pay my taxes every year, are u with the irs? lol
its ok, no need to cheat the tax man, its a bill like any other IMO
the key is to make enough money so u can afford to pay them
i could push shopping carts at publix and have to pay taxes too, but theres no money in that,
if u work at publix, u cant afford ANYTHING, let alone taxes
i do know that a stimulous credit can be applied to the 2020 returns,
but i havent filed taxes yet and not sure what line its on . ill find it
Technically, stimulus payments are an advance on a tax credit for the 2020 tax year. The IRS calls this credit the Recovery Rebate Credit. Unlike a tax deduction, which reduces your taxable income (and therefore your tax payment), a tax credit reduces the amount of tax you owe, dollar for dollar. Even better, and unlike most credits, the Recovery Rebate Credit will give you money back even if it’s more than the tax you owe or paid. For example, if you owe $700 in federal income taxes for 2020, a $1,200 stimulus tax credit would net you a $500 tax refund.
You need to file federal tax form 1040 or 1040-SR for 2020 to claim your Recovery Rebate Credit. You’ll also need your IRS Notice 1444, the letter the IRS should have sent to you a few days after you got your first stimulus check, and IRS Notice 1444-B, which you would have gotten after your second stimulus check. If you didn’t get a stimulus check, you don’t need either notice.
SMH, you haven’t made anything in the stock market until you take it out, I believe was the point.
his point does NOT apply to my portfolio, because i sell some DAILY
and its none of Your business when i sell or buy
come talk to me When you know how to make 800 percent in 3 months, and put 6 figures in the bank too

Those that can, just do and others tell them how great they are, those that can’t have to tell everyone how great they are.
The SB was the perfect storm for Brady. It was played in their home stadium, the Chiefs for some stupid reason didn’t get there until Saturday, then the storm over night furthered their jetlag, 2 tackles out for KC, def holding loosened up the KC secondary enough to give Brady enough room to do what he wanted, Reid was atrocious in clock management, Mahomes leg injury didn’t allow him to avoid rush, the KC receives seemed uninterested or unfocused…
the missing OL were key, because Mahomes is one of the best at getting off a pass in the face of a rush, and a few times he was almost horizontal and made a pass
of course, these passes wont be accurate, the man needed more time IMO
didnt mean to sound blunt with ya Steve, but i dont take advice from anyone, unless they have an outstanding portfolio to show , for a minimum of 3 years, preferably 5

Superbowl teams that didn’t score a TD in the Big Show.
’71 Dolphins

’21 Chiefs
Crazy how bad the chiefs were on Sunday
At first glance yes, but when you break it down, their demise was obvious.
yea, they looked like the 71 Dolphins, lol and smh
i didnt watch that super bowl live, i watched it years later, significant plays were Griese getting sacked for a huge loss, and Zonk fumbling the ball for the first time all season
Least 25-1 is above average in a 32 team league.
———————————————
Here are the current odds for Super Bowl LVI at BetMGM:
Chiefs +600
Packers +900
Buccaneers +1000 (was +1200)
Ravens +1200
Bills +1200
Rams +1200 (was +2000)
49ers +1600 (was +1400)
Saints +1800
Seahawks +2200 (was +1800)
Browns +2500
Cowboys +2500
Colts +2500
Dolphins +2500
Titans +2500
Chargers +3000
Patriots +3000
Steelers +3000
This will change after the salary cap for ’21 is revealed and teams like the Chiefs have to purge.
Mahomes was pressured a SB record 29 of 56 dropbacks. That is an insane 52%pressure rate. And to do that blitzing only 5 times…
It’s a good point about adjustments. We talked about it in the 2nd half, why didn’t the Chiefs try some max protect, 2 man routes, or maybe running the ball.
I think the Chiefs aren’t used to making major adjustments to make their offense work. They have a gameplan and stick to it, just probing weakness in the defense and tweaking some things. It’s usually the other team that has to try to adjust to what the Chiefs are doing.
This is the same team that was down double digits in every playoff game last year and ended up easily winning most of those games. I think they just expected their offense to kick it into gear, and it never did, because Mahomes had no chance back there.
The Chiefs defense didn’t show up either. They helped some in those comebacks last year, they were awful on Sunday
Another good point. They are a defense that always plays surprisingly well in the playoffs, but not in this game. They had a number of bad penalties and got beat up and down the field. That TD at the end of the half was a real killer, their coach didn’t help them out there, but that bad long penalty was what set it up.
Like Tim said above, it was all those things that got ’em beat.
And they wonder why their OC isn’t getting an HC job
I think you have to look at Bienienemy’s body of work which I pretty good
The chiefs were really really bad on Sunday
Steve,
Do you mean that teams could see this before this game, because the jobs that he was passed up on were filled before this game even took place.
I remember watching Mahomes and thinking he was Frank Tarkenton
The chiefs really struggled to protect Mahomes
Chiefs used 5 man protection on 92% of dropbacks. What is the conventional definition of insanity again? lol
That 92% rate was during the game after 52 dropbacks, so the final number will be a little different.

So I was just sent this from a lawyer friend
It’s making it’s way around social media
A lawyer doing a zoom conference for court, must have let his kids use his computer before hand, who placed a cat filter on the computer
And he signed on and could not turn off the voter
Lmao
“I am not a cat”
Most likely suspects are the lawyer’s 8 year-old and……

Lol
Jerry was like “hold him in contempt your honor “
LMAO
“Who’s a teensy, weensy, sad, kitty face lawyer? Yes, you are. Goochy goo”
I don’t know how the other lawyer stopped himself from laughing
The cat even looks nervous….
That filter is amazing
LMAO,
The best part is when he is looking down, makes the cat look really worried and nervous!
LOL
Piggy, that’s funny as fuck!
I can’t stop laughing
Rock – The book got really good! I’m glad because I was beginning to think it was a dud. I’m in the 180’s and I didn’t want to put it down during lunch. Sign of a good book!
What a surprise
I heard foot specialist OR Nurse Rex Ryan will be assisting.
Probably bc he was on his back foot the entire game
Sexy Rexy won’t be there….. he likes another foot.

He must be a fantastic dancer! He LITERALLY has two right feet.
Why he always cuts to his left. 🙂
MikeE good to hear! I will queue it up next for when I get through WOT. (actually I will queue up book one, but you know) I am in the worst part of WOT right now (IMO) the rebel Aes Sadai are camped across the river from Tar Valon and Egwene has been captured. There is WAAAAYYYY too many scenes with the different factions of the ajahs and the forsaken and everybody is whinging blah blah blah Every character in the first half of this book (figuratively) could be edited out.
If Egwene has been captured, at least you’re getting into Sanderson now and are past the worst part of Jordan’s writing which was the writing of the women characters his last few years.
The last couple of books Jordan himself wrote, the women are horribly petty and communicate almost entirely in sniffs and harrumphs. Between the Aes Sedai, the Kin, the Windfinders, and the Wise Ones, it almost drives me mad trudging through the constant, deafening cacophony of sniffs and harrumphs.
Amazing series I’ve read over and over, but good grief, lol

———————–
Allow me to reframe my point (no I’m not lobbying for anything, at least not yet)…
YES, the Super Bowl opened the eyes of everybody that if your O-Line is not adequate, you’re going to have problems. Yes, if you’re missing your two starting Tackles, you’re going to have problems. Yes, many Phins fans immediately thought of Penei as KC was getting their azzes kicked.
Now, let’s look at it like this… would Penei — supposedly a generational talent at the Tackle position — be a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over Robert Hunt or Austin Jackson? If the answer is yes, he’s worth his weight in gold. Are Robert Hunt and Austin Jackson slouches? I don’t believe so (and they are only going to get better!), but God forbid we lose a Tackle (or TWO!) as KC had, we now have significant depth to replace the starter in either Hunt or Jackson. And I cannot understate the importance of positional versatility.
I think many Phin fans had a knee-jerk reaction to KC’s O-Line demise in the Super Bowl, without really thinking about who, what, where, when, and why: “Oh, we need Penei now to stop Tampa Bay’s pass-rush!”. They are right, but for all the wrong reasons.
As we all saw, significant depth is most important on the O-Line on any team… where you most assuredly are going to lose somebody over the course of a season.
So the question becomes… are we truly satisfied with our O-Line depth and quality of our current starters? My answer is: we want the ball to be out in 2.x seconds, so I’m not all about building a WALL around Tua. But dammit, we lose 1 guy on the O-Line, and all hell breaks loose (same as any other team).
Do we want to be ahead of the curve and make an ELITE O-Line with depth… or do we surround Tua with weapons (and possibly trade down from R1P3 for more/future picks) instead?
Like most, I’d prefer the latter… but there’s nothing wrong with the former, either. I’m just trying to keep an open mind, man. Cheers!
My reaction was more tongue and cheek. But it does show you that talent and quality depth on the OL is very important because we’ve seen what can happen to really good offenses when they can’t block their plays, even with great QBs.
Too right, Tim. If a team’s depth in the trenches (either side) is lacking, that team’s season inevitably falls apart. We’ve seen it over-and-over-and-over again. It’s ‘Football 101’ at this point.
Years ago, I used to SMH at you when you wanted to continue to beef up our trenches… I get it now. There’s overkill (you never advocated for overkill), but then there’s wisdom. I cannot rule Penei out totally, though I’d like to… for shiny new toys for Tua to play with. But if Penei is THAT GOOD, we’d be fools to write him off altogether.
Bucky Brooks’ first mock draft (1st round) of the season. I don’t dislike it, either. No tradedowns in these mocks, just so it’s known…
M13, the one thing about playmakers is we see over and over you can find special WRs and RBs outside of the 1st round. Special lineman go early and we all know that.
Damn right, and that was a staple of the Kubiak/Gibbs scheme of the Denver Broncos, and then onto the Houston Texans. They made it so that MANY UDFA RBs would perennially go over 1,000 yards rushing.
Special lineman make playmakers out of many.
And on the other side of the ball, the G-Men ran the “NASCAR” Defense… something that beat the Tom Lady*-led Patsies* not once, but twice in the Super Bowl. Gotta have the special linemen, who make playmakers out of many.
Yep and yep!
Tim,
What do you make of a DT who goes 6’2″, 320, and can run a 4.87 40-time? He’s solid at stuffing the run, and has emerged as a pass-rushing ‘shoot-the-gap’ type of DT.
Can’t wait to see his Pro Day, and I mocked him to us about a month ago. His name is Alim McNeill, DT, NCST. I don’t want to overdraft him, but that ceiling is HIGH.
Some guys are just really good football players. We like to run multiple so just add good football players. That’s what Grier and Flores are all about. Players who show up on film, love football and are selfless. It’s important to them. That’s how you win.
M13, another thing is hopefully we won’t be drafting at #3 for quite awhile so we must take advantage of that.
Ah! But that’s where I’ve a plan. I’d LIKE to trade down from R1P3, and acquire a future first-rounder (maybe just a future second-rounder) in the process. I feel we have the ability to kick the can down the road, and continue to acquire early future talent for a few years, at least.
And THAT is my issue… continue to run the ‘cash cow’ (reaping more milk by trading down), vs taking a generational BPA. I’m currently stuck!
That’s very possible but if we stay at #3 we need to land a franchise type player. Obviously Grier and Flores are going to make those decisions and our opinions don’t mean much, but just add special.
I LOVE this song! The instrumental is fabulous, and something I’d do. Funky bass line, nice drum track, STRINGS (that’s me!), and just a smooth groove…
Yes, there IS a disco groove to this. LOL
Interesting you posted this band. It was many years ago when I was 17-18 years old but my guitar teacher at the time was either a fan of ABC or he played bass on some of their songs as a studio musician because he did that too. But ABC really rang a bell for me. He could play anything – guitar, bass, drums and keys. But bass was his specialty. Super talented guy.
My guy from Cali who used my studio to produce his album introduced me to ABC. After listening to some of my music, he said that I’d like ABC… he was right.
Cool! You really brought me back many years. ABC jumped out at me. Back when he (Neil) was a studio musician mostly in NYC but I know he also did stuff in Europe, they got paid for sessions with no credits. They were hired hands because the guys in the band couldn’t play the parts. That was quite common like when Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin was a studio musician in the mid 60’s. He played parts on The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks and many other artists including Joe Cocker where he did get credits.
AFTER FALLING BEHIND QUICKLY TONIGHT, the Tampa Bay Lightning ripped THREE quick goals past a befuddled Nashville goalie and, just like that, the BOLTS are up 3-1 end of period one in Tennessee. Last night, the Lightning beat the Predators 4-1 with their BACK-up goalie (Curtis Mcilhenny in for Vasilevskiy). A win tonight will leave Tampa Bay at 9-1-1, all this WITHOUT their best player (Kucherov) who lead the league in scoring two seasons ago. “KOOCH” had off-season hip surgery and hopes to be back for the playoffs. Adding him to this high scoring offense almost seems unfair to the rest of the league!!

Me and my wife’s recent fights with the corona virus have distracted us from the sporting world a bit. But the Buccaneers’ blowout win in the Super Bowl brought back into focus the unbelievable run this area has had recently in the pro sports world. The Rays won the American League pennant. Then the BOLTS rolled Dallas for the Stanley Cup. The Bucs crushing of Kansas City was the topper as all the big time lights were focused on Tampa Bay. But is winning the Super Bowl the ultimate for this area?
I don’t think so. For me, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups would be the numero uno achievement!! Yes, I know, the Lightning are a LONG WAY from achieving that goal. But, eleven games into a 56 game season, this Bolts team looks UNBELIEVABLE, with quality depth at almost every position!!!
Well, gotta walk the greyhound and get my beauty rest!! You guys have a great evening and a better tomorrow!
I watched the last 2 Lightning games, the 4-1 game a couple of nights ago was much closer, than the score shows, since they had 2 open net goals at the end, but the passing by Stamkos and others was phenomenal last night leading to open goals.
Last year when Stamkos was out you said he was their best player. After watching both play I believe Stamkos is their top player, but both are great.
The last 4 championships have been decided by 2 cities, LA and Tampa. My Dodgers and Lakers finally got one.
VGK hanging right there with the Lighting at 8-1-1 after an odd game last. Leading 3-0 and 4-1, then got a late goal by a defenseman to pull it out 5-4. Hope to see both in the finals.
M – That’s the stuff that WLIR in Long Island starting playing in the late 70’s, early 80’s. They basically brought that music to the USA. Great documentary if you’re interested called “Dare to be Different”. It used to be on Showtime but you can probably find it elsewhere. My wife and were really into all that music in the 80’s, so many groups from the UK, Australia, all over Europe. Check it out if you can.

The one I just read had us at 10, KC 1, and NOLA in the bottom 3rd.
I agree with the Saints being bottom 3rd as they’re in cap hell and all signs point to Brees being gone.
Those first Vegas odds had the Phins at 10-14. Sounds about right to me.
After receiving 4 mail in TD ballots last night at 4am, The KC chiefs are now the superbowl champs,
Tom Brady has hired Rudy to go to the supreme crt, he’s devastated!
Brady would hire better legal talent than Rudy.

You get it! It is a chore to read it. Half of the characters could be left out and not detract from the overall story line.
It’s why I could never read the series again. I never could decided if Jordan hated women, was submissive, or had an Oedipus complex.
Social media went into a frenzy after the Superbowl cause CBS didn’t show the Gatoraid shower. Not cause a tradition was missed but cause of all the people who laid prop bets on what color it would be.
Winning color was blue…. paid out at 8-1.
Those gas pump prices are creeping up faster than Joe Biden on a twelve year old!
How much have they gone up? Filled up today and didn’t see much difference. But then as the world economy gets going post-covid prices should be ramping up too.

NFL 2021 Important Dates
Feb. 23: The earliest day teams can place franchise or transition designations on players in advance of free agency.
March 9: The deadline for franchise and transition tag use is 4 p.m. ET.
March 15-17: Legal tampering window commences.
March 17: The 2021 league year officially kicks off at 4 p.m. ET, and so does the start of free agency.
April 5: This should mark the date when teams that have hired new head coaches can begin offseason workout programs. However, COVID protocol will likely affect these arrangements. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell indicated last week leading up to the Super Bowl that the NFL and NFL Players Association could agree to modified offseason program formats. Last season, teams held virtual workouts rather than in-person conditioning programs. People familiar with preliminary discussions expect the same this time around.
April 19: Teams with returning head coaches can begin offseason workouts. But again, these workouts are likely to take place virtually.
April 23: The deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer streets.
April 28: The last day for clubs to match offer sheets for restricted free agents.
April 29-May 1: The 2021 NFL draft is slated for Cleveland.
Isn’t legal tampering like an oxymoron?
Yeah right?!
how is tampering like a stupid drug addict?
My brother-in-law is an oxymoron.
Actually he long graduated from that. He’s a speed baller now. Gets high as hell shooting meth then comes down shooting heroin.
BBM, that’s messed up with your brother-in-law. Yikes!
Oh my. How did we go from oxymorons to meth and heroine addicts?
ORob playing on Oxy the drug and being a moron for using it.
Ah….like Rush?
Limbaugh
Not sure where the Rush Limbaugh reference came from?
Rush is addicted to Oxy not sure if it was contin or codone
Thanks Ken….i thought everyone knew Rush was an addict.
I was just trying to play along with the addict theme that someone else brought up. Shame on me!
Oh okay. I do remember hearing he had some drug addiction. Didn’t he have back issues or something? I don’t listen to him or follow him so I really don’t know much about it. I doubt he was shooting or smoking it though. LOL
Seriously, Tim? He’s over weight, sits all day bloviating, and has back issues. Perfectly, good reason to be an OXYwhatever addict. Hmmm.
Those addiction issues were a long time ago as I recall
But he’s actually having real serious health issues lately
Like I said, I don’t follow him. Obviously you know more about him than me.
Like i said, i was just trying to follow the humor and chain from oxymororn to drug addicts. LMAO…..Rush was a drug addict and people glommed onto his rhetoric as a drug addict. I know, too subtle for most.
How did the blog miss the Drunk Tom Brady story

Avocado tequila sounds amazing
Ew
To all you Lawyers.
I have a client who came to me in peril, she contracted with this res contractor to build homes, she got a bank loan and gave him the drafts, she paid in full and the contractor hasn’t been back to the home since may 2020, other trades pulled permits such as the plumber and the electrician. they are not finished, The plumber has been paid in full and has not finished because the Res Contr owes him 18k on other jobs. meanwhile the victim has no way out of this, her new home just sits there.
I am a Lic General Contractor in the state of FL, she wants me to pull additional permits to take over the job and finish, however I fear that in doing so i have to warranty this other guys work which is out of the question.
I was just wondering how i get around this dilemma so i can help this woman.
Give her oxy…
I think that’s lame asking for free legal advice. Seriously?!
It’s not free, I pay dearly having to put up with your bull shit!
I’m sure she can sue for breach of contract and have the contract with the original invalidated and start all over
And probably get any money invested back as part of the same suit
It really depends on the language of the contract, there might be state and local laws relevant that the contractor breached too
There’s usually a lot of relief available when some one doesn’t perform under a contract
But she should hire a local attorney to look at the contract she signed to look at the relief
Thanks Piggy
My senior project in college was testing the addictive properties of nicotine. I shot up a bunch of rats with pure nicotine and ran them through a bunch of tests and kept track of their physical response and changes. Weeks of testing and watching rats run around and I showed no significant data. If vaping had been a thing back in the mid ‘80s, I would’ve accidentally forgot I walked off with a few vials of the stuff. Maybe I could’ve sold it for a lot of money. Lol
Sigh, the historically low oil prices in April of this year (US Crude actually in the NEGATIVE price range) due to the price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia combined with the world wide drop in demand due to covid and the easing of that price war and the increase in demand has nothing to due with the still very low gas prices. It is all that damn communist’s fault. SMH Ignorance
I don’t get it. You’re saying in your reasearch with rats, nicotine had no effect on their physiology? Or behavior? Wow? Not sure i can grok that.

Please DO NOT make fun of people with drug/alcohol addiction. It’s not funny, it’s not cool, and it’s HELL for any/all who know somebody who’s gone through it. I know people (plural) who have died from addiction… NOT FUNNY.
Refrain from being a fucking asshole, please.
Clueless….you should address your anger at your boy, Orob, who started it. Still a pussy.
That’s funny. Make sure you give Biden all the credit too 3 weeks in. Lmao….
Seriously? Lmao…. please. Your kidding me, right?
Krishna, there needs to be balance. Some people get trapped into BS, especially the poor and disadvantaged. If you believe in what you preach, you need to be supportive in helping those who have addiction problems, sir.
You just want to fight. I would never put Rush, your hero, in that category. That’s why you missed the humor that Orob started.
I want to fight? Uhhhhh… NO! I’m trying to tell ya that we need to reach balance. I don’t wish death on anybody, man.
Just PLEASE don’t disrespect those who have or have had addiction problems.
That’s for mf13 who can take a joke…lmfao!
Cannot
Wow shit is getting ornery here tonight.
My grandma always said i was ornery. Lmao.
At 5!
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
I love this place.
There was nothing wrong with your posts Krishna
I enjoy reading your posts
I AN OUTRAGED AT THE AMOUNT OF OUTRAGE HERE!

Thats outrageous
Except the tequila post
That was unacceptable
True. What kind of animal puts avocado in tequila!

RIP
Larry Flint
Holy Crap! He was still alive!!?
RIP I guess.
I thought he was dead too
Not kidding
Limbaugh is dying from advanced lung cancer. He can do do whatever oxy he wants.
Agrred! No problem here!
That’s what smoking does to you.
Yep
NO! FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS!
Faux outrage is contagious in today’s world… until it truly hits YOUR world. THEN, you wake up.
Yeah, this place never ceases to amaze me!
Dude, your faux compassion is old.
I don’t even know how to answer your reply, Krishna. If you truly think my compassion is faux and old, I don’t know what to tell you. If you are the judge and jury right now, then I guess I’m guilty without a trial.
If I use the *force*, I’d ask you to put your drink down right now… you’ve been drinking too much, my friend.
Seeing as Rush has stage 4 cancer. You won’t have to wish for his death much longer!
I think most of us know that. Pretty sure somebody here saw my tweet about Rush, and decided to make something of it.
Wait…you think Krishna follows you on Twitter? C’mon man…does Krishna strike you as a Twitter user.
Get over yourself. I was referring to Orobs oxy jump from oxymoron to drug addicts. It had nothing to do with you until you interjected. Promise!
I read that today and referred to it a little earlier
Never wished your hero for death. Facts.
I didn’t take it like
It the real issue is you mocking tequila which is unacceptable
Not tequila which i love and avocados which i love. Putting them together seems like an illness. Lol!
Sick
If you have a margarita with your guacamole, aren’t you doing the same thing?
Krishna,
My degree was in psychology and my studies were more focused on the psychological aspects, but I monitored their physical aspects of it too. My results showed no statistically significant impact over time in the things I measured. Sorry, but I tried to say what I did without going into a dissertation.
***
There are definite physical responses to nicotine being introduced, but they disappeared fairly quickly after you stopped giving them the nicotine….physical addiction. The other tests I did that looked at the psychological impact or addiction during that period of “physical addiction” phase and how it changed after the detox process didn’t show anything statistically valid. That doesn’t mean there were none.
So if you quit smoking
And 10 years pass
Does that mean you removed all the harm the nicotine caused?
Psycho-pharmacology was one of my top two favorite courses.
Well rats are one thing. I have lived with several people, dad, wife, best friend who were all heavy smokers and the “changes” were real when they tried to stopped. One out of three did stop, 2 could not. Not sure where that fits in with your study.
I think fot humans there is much more than the physical addiction.

You said someone was reading you after Krishna posted. Bread crumbs led to the conclusion you were talking to him.
You are far smarter than that, Phelon.
Lol…apparently not.
WOW!
Sorry I interjected about a man on his deathbed in Rush Limbaugh, as he’s attacked for having been a pain-medicine addict in the far past. It’s kind of like impeaching a President who is no longer in office, just to pour salt in wounds.
WOW!!!
Let’s get back to football, instead of insulting people who are near death. Is that a reasonable request?
What’s a good high end shooting tequila?
I’m actually kind of a mezcal 🐖
I like this brand a lot

Social media has really had an affect on how people behave with each other. We’re in crazy times and most people seem to be on edge. It doesn’t have to be like that. Each individual can change that. It’s not society, we as individuals make society what it is. Not the other way around. People are born into shitty situations because of the actions of individuals. Change that for the better and you change society for the better. Be Kind. 🙂

You’re hilarious. I just put my cat to sleep less than a month ago. He was my buddy.
I also pulled the plug on my wife and ended her 5 year suffering.
Oh my, let me send sincere condolences to your hero, a drug addict with all his excuses.
Kinda like your excuses for Paterno. You’re something!
Clearly for mf13ss.
To be honest with you, I NEVER liked Joe Paterno as a person. And the way he shied away from the entire Sandusky event, I disliked him even more.
What’s MORE… I never ONCE defended Paterno. I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Perhaps you’re mistaking me for somebody else, but that’s not me.
I KNOW/KNEW that Paterno was complicit (albeit passively) with Jerry Sandusky.
Once again, you’re confusing me for somebody else.
I could be wrong about your position, mf13ss. Penn State should have received the “death” penalty, imo, for their lack of institutional control and protection of “our” children. You did not, as I recall. Correct?
piggy,
Ok, so, what most people call physical addiction is actually physical dependence. “addiction” is usually more used to describe the psychological impact. Dependence is defined by certain physical changes and then the withdrawal symptoms related with it.
***
Physical dependence doesn’t take 10 years. It starts to happen fairly quickly. Smoking will very likely have long term health concerns depending on how long you do it, but your physical dependence…what most call addiction…on it doesn’t exist anymore. And again, I only did this research for a couple months. I wasn’t looking at the long term physical impact of nicotine abuse. I should’ve never brought this up! Lol
Oh….I missed that you were referring to addiction
I thought you were referring to cancer from a lifetime of smoking
Gotcha. Now it makes sense
Avocado margarita
It does look a little gross
Green pudding anyone?
So gross!
Imagine being hungover and puking that up…
I tried crack once, loved it so much, and have never done it since because i loved it too much. What’s that about?
You tried crack but give me a hard time about avocado tequila?
At least my effort was pure….you are mixing avocado and tequila. Maybe, i’m a racist…lol.
LMAO!!!!!
I’ll be looking at what some family and friends are posting about on FB that is positive and fun. Then some curmudgeon will jump in and find a way to inject Trump or Biden into it. WTF is that?
Next time they do that this is the proper response
Offer them an avocado margarita
LOL
Lmao…..those avocado margaritas will get you every time!
It’s fucked up, agreed.
It really is.
Family/Friends: “Look at my cute grandson or granddaughter being silly.”
Curmudgeon: “I feel bad for them and where this country is headed, especially with so and so in the white house.”
Krishna,
Absolutely there are both physical and psychological changes in folks…and they change with time too…and long term use of chemicals can have long term effects. I was looking at something else, but it wasn’t really a longitudinal study. I didn’t go to Harvard or anything. Lol
I didn’t go to Harvard either and i don’t believe that’s a qualification.
Anectdotal evidence is just as valid as empirical evidence. That’s all I’m saying.
Early 80s British Funk… his name is Junior…
Krishna,
Actually anecdotal evidence isn’t as valid as empirical evidence….that’s kinda why it’s anecdotal. But, I get your point. I feel like you’re having a one sided argument.
Numbers can lie
But i agree

Yes, you were very wrong about my position on PSU.
Lol…so you agree PSU should have received the death penalty?
Will someone pass me the popcorn?
Fuck that you’ll piss in it and pass it back. LOL
Yeah right…lol
I disagree about anecdotal evidence is not as valid. Most evidence is anectdotal until the means to measure it allow for empirical evidence to prove the “theory” or anecdote. Whatever.
Krishna,
Well, yeah, you can start with anecdotal evidence, develop a hypothesis and then go about gathering empirical evidence to test that hypothesis. That’s how the scientific method can go. But, you don’t use anecdotal evidence to validate anything because it’s not repeatable. It’s validity can’t be tested or repeated. That doesn’t mean you think it’s worthless.
***
The validity of anecdotal evidence has been long disputed and discussed in psychological research though. Its easy to test blood pressure, for instance, not so easy to test psychological conditions or states. It’s a black hole and an interesting stream of thought.
Anectdotal evidence is the definition of repetition, just no one there to write it down, to make it scientific. An observation becomes familiar to more than one, an experience is not a one off, people or scientists start to take notice or listen when the masses grow. So….
It’s studied, tested, measured, then it’s real. Ok.
I did coke as a casual user in the late 80’s. At 23 I had a bad reaction because I did too much as it was given to me because some dude wanted to hook up with a girl who was a friend of ours. So he was willing to turn all of us on. My heart was palpitating and I could not relax or sleep. I saw cartoons at 6 in the morning I didn’t know existed. I remember saying God, if you let me get through this I’ll never do this again. I never did. Why would I ever want even chance experiencing that again? It was horrible. It wasn’t a fun high. It sucked!
I wish i could have changed places with you in that moment….lmao. sorry.
I believe addiction starts with all forms of sugar, sugar is very addictive, being insulin resistant causes addiction. if you can become insulin sensitive you can beat ant addiction.

And caffeine may be the #1 addictive substance on Earth. BIG BIZ profits over addiction.

Lol…so you agree PSU should have received the death penalty?
——————-
No, I disagree with the so-called “death penalty” for PSU. Why? It only hurts the innocent student-athletes, who worked so hard to get where they’re at. We’re not talking about a PED program that benefited the student-athletes, we’re talking about one guy who raped others in one program (football). Doesn’t make sense to penalize the innocent players of PSU by invoking said “death penalty”, my man.
Sandusky should get the death penalty, as far as I’m concerned.
Sandusky is the definition of evil.
That’s right, Tim!
PSU, Joe Paterno, Sandusky, and all who support that ilk deserve the death penalty.
I’ll smoke crack and let you call me an asshole for making fun of a dying oxy addict.
Cheers!
Well Joe died and I think that is what killed him.
your body sends a signal to your brain to crave in the form of ghrelin, this hormone is increased with insulin resistance and decreased with insulin sensitivity. the way to be insulin sensitive is to not eat any sugar products such as fruit, starches, rice potatoes, milk, strawberries have a low glycemic index.
so don’t eat sugar and you can beat any addiction.
Not to disagree with you because I’m not sure what you are saying, but the American diet is (full of carbs, sugar is a carb) is probably the worst on the planet, i.e. unhealthy and addictive.

Black coffee in the morning about 2 cups is actually very good for you or so i read
I’ve heard the same, actually. I just don’t dig coffee, AT ALL. LOL
i love my morning coffee, best part of the day for me.
For me when I first wake up? Give me a tall glass of ice-cold green tea. Green tea is also very good for ya.
That, but sugar is probably more addictive than heroine.
nicotine is the number one most addictive substance, not sure having no sugar can cure that.
Depends on who ya talk to, but YES… nicotine is very arguably the most addictive substance. Some say it’s harder to quit cigarettes than crack. Scary, right?!!
I started smoking at 18, quit at 25, cold turkey, took about a week to kick it, my friend was driving with me and i said i was throwing my full pack of cigs out the window because i was quitting, he said don’t do that give them to me, so i did. he laughed at me saying you’ll never quit.
i never smoked again, he now has stage 4 lung cancer
That’s sobering, brother.
Not true.
The NIH disagrees with you, as well as, most leading health organizations.
some have alcohol above nicotine, i disagree with that
Ok, you can say no just to say no. Seems kinda childish.
I have a biochemistry degree and doctorate. I know a little about brain chemistry and pharmacalogical, neurological effects. Addictions are typically multi-faceted/complicated. Tobacco is addictive and so is the culture.
Thanks, Piggy. I’ll take a look at those you posted and I’ll definitely be avoiding the Avocado Margarita, lol.
I’m beginning to feel more and more like Alice every time I come here. Lol
One pill makes you larger

Don’t do anything at all

Guys and gals, we all go too far at one time or another but just know I love y’all because we’re just one big dysfunctional family here. Just take a deep breath and let it go. We’ve been together a long time, and just like any large group, we can’t always see eye to eye. Just honor and respect each other
