A Proposed Watson Trade To Spoil Your Life

King Go ScrewYourself

Gather around Dolfans, this Piggy has a fairy tale for you. This one is about a wise old expert who called himself King

A man dressed as a King stands up in downtown Miami

“Dolfans everywhere gather around. I am King Go ScrewYourself. As King I also declare myself an NFL Expert capable of reminding the Miami Dolphins how much I hate them. “

A crowd of Dolphins fans gather around the King.

One screams “Arghhhh! We missed the playoffs!”

A second angry fans screams “No more losing!”

A third raises a torch “Stop the losing”

The King tries to calm them down. “I know my subjects, and as many of you know Tua Tagovailoa did not pass for 5,000 yards.”

The fans all raise their fists angrily. One yells “ how dare he!” A second screams “One year is enough!”

The King continues to speak “This is not the time to sit and wait to see what develops. This is the time for action! We must move on from the Tua era of the last”. The King checks his notes “The Tua era of the last few months”

The crowds roars in agreement.

The King continues “A Quarterback is available. His name is Deshaun Watson. And we can have him for cheap.”

The first fan speaks up “Give up a first round pick”

The King replies “We shall! We shall give up two!”

The second fan yells “two is not so bad…”

The King replies “…..this year” the King continues “and our first round picks in 2022….and 2023”

The first fan declares “Watson is worth it. He passed for 4800 yards last year!”

The King interrupts “Which is why we must add more! We will add all the second rounders too”

The second fan declares “We don’t need second rounders…go for it…”

The King adds “ For the next 20 years…and the third rounders too!”

The first fan pauses a moment and then says “Well….its been a while since Dan Marino retired”

The King interrupts “ yes…so very long have you suffered. Let’s add some players….”

The first fan insists “how about that guy who hurt Preston Williams”

The King excitedly replies “Wilkins is outta here!”

“And what about that other guy Howard” The Second fans yells “ he was arrested!”

The King adds “he shot a puppy….and ate it….I read that”

”Get rid of him!” The fans scream. “That should be enough to get Watson”

The King says “It’s a start!” There is more though….

The first fan says “As long as it fills the stadium”.

The King replies “about that stadium….um…we have to let the Texans use it from time to time….”

The second fan asks “okay, no problem, how often?”

The King replies “just Sundays”

The first fan speaks up “Done!”

The second fans turns to him “This is going to be great, I’m going to bring my kids to see Watson throw for touchdown after touchdown”

The King interrupts “oh….about those kids…”

The fans turn to the King “what about them?”

The King explains “so take a look at this map…if your kids are born in zones A1 through A3…then those kids will have to go to Texas”

The first fan yells “What?”

The King explains “How else will maintain the lawns of Houston….that’s part of the deal….but only Zone A. Zones B and C are responsible for washing the cars in Houston, Zone D cleans their homes”.

The second fan explains “Well, it is Watson….and we still have our wives”

The King replies “Yes you still have your wives and girlfriends….on every other Tuesday anyway. Pretty good deal right?”

This first fan says “well we do get Watson”

The King explains “and the details of the trade will be delivered through the rectum”

The fans begins to walk away depressed.

The King tries to stop them “Where are you going, I didn’t get to the part about your mothers”

The King completes the deal. By 2023 Watson opts out of his contract

I hope they roll with Tua.

  2. New Age says:

Pretty funny Piggy. I could also see Watson opting out if we dared to let the GM decide who we draft, and the coach decide who plays. He might get mad if Ross didn’t hire his mom either! She wants to help! How dare they! At least we’d get Watson!

  3. ElephantRider says:

    Lol Piggy! Pretty accurate!

  4. Watson is awesome, but Houston wont even take phone calls on him, who knows what they are thinking

  5. very funny story Piggy, lol

but Kings, politics? i thought,,, lol JK

great job! and yes, the fans need to be careful what they wish for. the same fans calling for Tuas head were excited that the fins drafted Tua

obviously not everyone is management material, lol but the Fins have great management, IMO

cant wait to see whats next

  6. its a little bit ironic, that Tiger woods rolled his suv into a sign that said rolling hills,

luckily he survived it, and no word if he was being chased by an angry woman with a bat this time

  7. Krishna says:

    Lol! Stay the couse.

  8. Mike E. says:

Welcome back Piggy! Funny stuff. You know how I feel, I’ve said it a hundred different times. Tua is our QB, build a great team around him. That’s what we’ve been doing, no reason to subtract talent and draft capital to add talent. I really would be upset if we traded for Watson. I’d get over it, but I like the direction we’ve been following and feel we should stay on it.

  9. i dont believe in giving up on first round pick QB’s after their rookie season, unless
    something fundamentally changes.

the FA should be able to scout and select talent worthy of a top pick, but it usually takes time to properly evaluate the upside of an NFL QB

  10. Mike E. says:

Back to the Aaron Jones FA signing potential. Aaron Jones is a product of the GB offense. He has Aaron Rodgers as his QB. Excellent O-line. Anyone see what Le’veon Bell has done since leaving Pittsburgh? Please don’t spend $11M + per year on a running back. Draft a RB or two, but spend that money elsewhere. He had one season where he had a ton of TD’s (16). It’s an aberration. He’s an 8-10 TD a season guy who may give you 1000-1200 yards, and catch about 50 passes. You can find that in the draft.

  11. sb7mvp says:

I don’t have a problem using the draft capital to obtain players, but overpriced QB’s and RB’s is not how you use them.

  12. i still am amazed that Matt Breida didnt get more carries, he did an incredible job for san fran, and he had a decent yards per carry average with the fins.

he must have pissed Flo off and got in his doghouse, smh

  13. bailbondmike says:

If they were to do that Watson trade it would kill our cap space and the ability to bring in any body else worth a crap. That is a big no for me.

I am with MikeE on Aaron Jones. No need to pay that money on a RB unless it was Derrick Henry. Then again, both those teams have really good OL and ours is not there yet.

Save that money and resign some of our F/A’s and sign some cheaper F/A’s who will be upgrades or give us better depth.

  14. Mike E. says:

David – Aaron Jones is a FA, we’re not discussing trades. Also, Travis Henry is a pretty obscure example and basically doesn’t have anything to do with a similar situation to signing Aaron Jones as a FA.

    • i hear ya on Henry, but why is he obscure? just curious as to why You feel that way.

there are other examples of booms, and busts too, Ricky Williams was not drafted by Miami, but he was a fine addition to the team, and maybe the fins best rb they ever had
im sure glad he was brought in.

and he also, ran into trouble with the marijuana testing, smh

    • steveccnv says:

Well they’re both in the NFL🤪

    • steveccnv says:

Mike quit while you still your sanity

      • steveccnv says:

You prove my point every time you come on here.

Mike says, he doesn’t want Aaron Jones, because he believes he’s a product of the system and you respond with an example of a random TE, then go off on this mj rant and bring in RW, because he also smoked…

You did the same thing yesterday with Cruz. You kept going off about him that no one was talking about or disagreeing on.

When you were in school did you ride on the short bus

      • you need to get your act together , You are lying to yourself, among everyone else

i caught you red handed lying yesterday, to deny it, would be just another lie for You,
its pathetic why you feel the need to deny reality, and lie to everyone, that is not the way i choose to live My life, so butt out
i was having a nice convo with Mike, and you had to make trouble? serious? suks to be u, cancun cruz sucker liar and denier

      • btw, Henry is not a TE, hes a RB

just butt out of my convo, you are undeserving of My time and i have huge gains to make in the market today, its a strong bull day

      • steveccnv says:

Looks like short bus has been confirmed

      • if you were lying yesterday, You are lying today , thats been confirmed

for your info, i drove to school with a car, never saw you on the bus

  15. we dont know what the cap will be yet, the NFL is currently working on TV coverage fees, which will change that .
the NFL is attempting to double the fees for TV networks to carry games. and meeting resistance, especially from Disney, who is already grumbling about paying too much for MNF.

if, and when, the tv contract fees go up significantly, then so will the cap

  16. New Age says:

l’m also with Mike on this. We already wasted a ton of money on two terrible RBs last year. That should have been the lessen even if there aren’t dozens of lessens littered all over the NFL the past two decades. Use a pick, pay very little money, and get value at a position that is highly dependent on the OL and QB to produce anyway.

Jones came from a great team with a great QB and OL to work with. His production wasn’t all on his team…but a lot of it was.

  17. ocalarob says:

i would never do the Peter King trade for Watson, i would be hard pressed to give up #18 for him even though i think he’s great.
Watsons value will come down, Miami has a lot going for them to make this deal without giving up the farm, first Watson has to approve any deal which would eliminate a lot of teams right off the bat. if he does not get moved before the draft that reduces more teams as most of them are set by that time. then we all know how Miami owns houston in any trade deals as they were fleeced in the last trade.
I may give up 18 and a 2nd this year, that’s it! oh yeah and dump Tua on them for the finishing touch.

  18. bookman11 says:

    Piggy,
LOL, nice write up. It reminds me of the witch scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. and that is how I imagined it when I read it.

I know Tim will appreciate that reference, LOL

  19. bailbondmike says:

We could use our cap money to sign a good WR. I mean there are 6 really good F/A WR’s out there. Two of them are from the Lions so I am sure they resign one of them.

    Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Probably resigns w/Tampa)
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers (Just say no to this one)
    Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions
    Will Fuller, Houston Texans
    Marvin Jones Jr., Detroit Lions

What about Will Fuller? He is not a tough receiver. Kind of like a Kenny Stills 2.0. He does bring that elite speed. He ran a 4.32 40 at the combine. Fuller was the only one of this group to have sub 4.4 speed. Godwin and Jones were very low 4.4’s but Jones is going to be 31 at the start of next season.. The others ran over 4.5 40’s. I think if we add a F/A WR it should be Godwin or Fuller.

  20. Ken says:

At last a worthy ruler to follow

  21. bailbondmike says:

We could also use that cap space to sign stud OLB’s Bud Dupree or Haason Reddick. I think Reddick is really going to get paid though.

    • steveccnv says:

I don’t think we really have any cap space, unless it goes up to last year’s level.

26m or so depending on the site, but we have a couple of our own guys to resign, then we have 6-10 or so M for the rookies.

I think it’s foolish to sign FAs at this stage of the rebuild.

Would you rather sign a couple of guys to get you to the playoffs, then when it’s time to make a title run they’re gone or use the 2021 cap dollars in years you’re actually a title contender?

  22. steveccnv says:

In a ponzi scheme the schiester lies to you, takes your money, uses it to get rich and powerful, and promises you a guaranteed rate of return, but you’ll never see your investment money again.

A politician lies to you, takes your money in the form of taxes and campaign contributions, uses it to get rich and powerful.

In the end what’s the difference?

    Twain was right.

    That’s some ruler we have

  23. steveccnv says:

Texans don’t want to trade Watson, and why would they with 21m in dead cap?

Texans know better than anyone, you can’t let the inmates run the asylum

  24. bookman11 says:

New Age, that is one of my all time favorite movie scenes.

  25. Mike E. says:

David – Obscure because he had one decent season for the Titans. There are probably hundreds of better examples. Don’t worry about, it’s not really important.

  26. stangerx says:

Good to see our Royal Pig talking to his people. Yeah the price of the Watson trade would probably be too much…… but we don’t know what it is yet. The guys on the Texans ain’t even answering the phones, which means the people suggesting this or that don’t know either.

  27. stangerx says:

“I may give up 18 and a 2nd this year, that’s it! oh yeah and dump Tua on them for the finishing touch.”

ORob — in that case you don’t want Watson. Guess you prefer riding with Tua as your man. 🙂

  28. mf13ss says:

    —————
As I said a few weeks ago, Big Ben isn’t going anywhere. And as I posted all of the potential QB moves a few nights ago, I never mentioned the Stealers* and Big Ben.

So, what does this all mean? Big Ben will probably sign a cap-friendly extension, saving the Stealers* around $15M for the 2021 season. In doing so, the Stealers* could probably bring back both JuJu and Bud Dupree.

In the end, I’d probably cross out JuJu and Dupree on our FA wish lists. I really would have liked Dupree on our team.

    • steveccnv says:

Steelers are 19m over the cap, and Biggie has a 22m deadcap #, with 19m cash due for the year.

What they can do is give him the 19m in cash, but set it up as a bonus, then the vet min of roughly 1m, so his cap number would be 22m + 1m + 18m/# of years in New contract. So a 4 yr extension would mean 27.5m cap hit this year and…ah FU MF😉 15m is correct as cap savings

  29. mf13ss says:

I’m also hearing rumors that several of the top WRs hitting FA may be slapped with the Franchise Tag. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but I don’t think we’re going to get the prized WR we want via FA. There may be one, maybe two FA WRs we might pursue when the smoke clears, but it’s possible that there will be no ‘elite’ WRs left when it’s all said and done.

  30. mf13ss says:

Regarding the potential signing of Aaron Jones…

Some of y’all have made outstanding points so as not to sign him, citing our O-Line isn’t equivalent to Green Bay’s, a big cap hit, and he’s operating behind arguably one of the best QBs of this generation (A-Rod). I cannot disagree with any of those points… PROPS!

Should we not sign A Jones, we’d better be selecting a RB fairly early in the Draft… no later than the 3rd round (I’d prefer the late-1st to early-2nd): we can’t be left out of nice RB again, as we were last year.

    • Mike E. says:

I agree! We need talent at that position, someone who must be accounted for by opposing defenses, someone who needs to be game planned against. It’s been a while since we had that.

      • mf13ss says:

Absolutely. Should we trade down from R1P3 (just a bit now, not far), the resulting compensation in draft draft capital should allow us to be able to trade back up into the late-first to take the first elite RB off the board.

Once the first RB goes, there will undoubtedly be a run on the position, and we will have missed our chance by the time we select again.

    • stangerx says:

Aaron Jones is a mighty fine RB. Gonna be the most expensive one signed though. Not sure if we are at that point. We do sign him and that is pretty much it though except for some low-to-mid-level stuff.

  31. The Flying Pig says:

I generally just think, at the RB position, it’s wise to use the draft

They don’t have very long careers and the position is the most likely to lend itself to making an impact as a rookie

    • stangerx says:

Like the Broncos way — just keep drafting them low to mid and see who works out.

      • mf13ss says:

Correct, but a team must have an established O-Line to make that work. Alex Gibbs (Godfather of the zone-blocking scheme) and Gary Kubiak are the ones who made it happen in Denver. I hope we get there soon with our O-Line.

      • stangerx says:

Seems we did a bit of it with Gaskin and Ahmed and the OL we got. One was a 7th and the other an undrafted pick-up.

    • steveccnv says:

That’s pretty much every GMs thinking, but every once in a while game changer comes out and someone takes him high, and in 3 years or less isn’t still elite.

To get one of the to 3 backs we can wait until 36

  32. stangerx says:

Not sure how you came to that conclusion, unless he’s dealt, Watson value will drop when the draft gets here, there will be less teams to be able to pull the trigger and the Texans are draft starved.

    • stangerx says:

Just don’t think his price will drop that low.. And your ” unless he’s dealt” before the draft figures into that majorly.

  35. mf13ss says:

    ICYMI…

Deshaun Watson made official a few days ago a list of teams he’s be willing to be traded to: the stej, the Panthers, and us Phins.

    • mf13ss says:

      *he’d

    • steveccnv says:

That no trade clause he has doesn’t mean anything. He can say I’ll only play for those 3 teams, but if they don’t want him he has to update his list.

A no trade clause really only works in the other direction. Texans might want to trade him to the cheats, but he says no, the Texans could say FU, then we aren’t going to trade you

  36. Tim Knight says:

That was funny, Piggy. I didn’t get to read it last night.

  37. Tim Knight says:

    Happy Birthday Coach Flo!

  38. stangerx says:

Was reading some Watson trade speculation pieces. A number of them pointed out we have to pony up more cause our future picks aren’t worth as much as say those of the Jets or Panthers.

Not the “Tank for Tua” days any more. Sorta nice.

  39. steveccnv says:

Looks like everyone’s favorite whooping boy is in more hot water. Cuomo now being accused of sexual assault. Lock him up

      • stangerx says:

Allegations not of proper conduct, but then Trump has been accused of the same or worse more than a dozen times. And I’m against all of them. So not sure how which party becomes involved.

      • Mike E. says:

Stanger, sure, Trump was accused, and he was probably guilty too, but he wasn’t in office when it happened.

      • stangerx says:

Think it wrong whether a guy is in office or not, but might just be me. Goes for cheating too.

  40. mf13ss says:

Oh boy… here we go again with more political rhetoric!

  41. Mike E. says:

Stanger – It’s definitely wrong either way, but if you do it while in office, you’re not getting another political spot in your lifetime.

    • stangerx says:

And don’t think you should get another political spot. Just don’t see the big difference from before in office.. Think same should apply.

      • steveccnv says:

Sure Stanger impeach Trump now from being a civilian. That’s how ridiculous what you wrote sounds.

      • stangerx says:

steve — only said such is wrong whether a guy is in office or not. You think that is ridiculous?

  42. Tim Knight says:

Piggy, I think the general consensus these days is to draft RBs. Just because there are reports that we’re interested in Aaron Jones doesn’t mean it will happen. But he’s a really good RB and still young.

  43. steveccnv says:

Biden now trying to make China great again by his new executive order on removing loans for fossil plants around the world.

Can he be any more in the tank for China? Dumbasses excuse was it will embarrass China

  44. manitobafinfan says:

I do like Fuller when he is on the field… but like our own 2 starting we, he misses LOTS of games

Godwin has displayed bad hands, and is a slot type guy , so no thanks …

    • manitobafinfan says:

M Jones is pretty much best option out there , agree with just say no to JJSS…

      • manitobafinfan says:

Oh , I just reread and he’s 31, so he will be a possession guy , solid pro but we need more 👍😊 draft some speed

      • Tim Knight says:

Marvin Jones just seems like the right guy. He’s not going to a top paid WR but he’s a very productive vet WR.

      • manitobafinfan says:

I liked him back when he was Bengal with Sanu. Did not realize he was already 31 , but I guess it makes sense…

Robinson and Hurns were a great pair as well back in the day , I always thought Hurns was the better of the two.. maybe we can catch lightning again

  45. olddolphan says:

    TEST

  46. Tim Knight says:

What I think this needs to do to take the next step.
    1. OL continue to improve and build chemistry which is huge for an OL.
    2. The running game becomes more explosive and consistent.
    3. Tua takes the next step in his game.
    4. Add speed to the WR position.
    5. Add speed to the front 7.

  47. olddolphan says:

Finally able to get back on the board. Don’t know why I couldn’t get on yesterday or just a few minutes ago.
    —————–
YOUNG STANGER: Pleeze ignore my “help” phone call message I left you a few minutes ago. Hope y’all have a great day tomorrow. Here, we had highs in the mid-70’s and lows in the 50’s. But the heat returns in a couple of days.

  48. steveccnv says:

    OD, why does it seem like it’s harder to score 5 v 3, then 5 v 4?

When there’s 3 skaters they pack it in, why don’t they do more of that, when there’s 4 skaters?

  50. sb7mvp says:

I hope everyone’s doing well today. Life is short. Praise the Groundhog.

  51. Mike E. says:

Toba – Robinson was always the much more explosive receiver of the two Allens. Hurns was more of a possession type receiver, but he was solid. They were quite a tandem

    Stanger Allegations are not proof.
reading your posts it would appear that you are accusing & convicting trump of wrong doing without any proof of anything. you’ve stated your Allegations and have given your verdict.
i just wonder how that shoe would wear on your foot?

    I think it’s very lame.

    • stangerx says:

I used the word allegations. Never said there was proof of anything. That such conduct was wrong was in terms of Mike E’s distinction about in office or not. If it appeared otherwise to you then suggest you read the stream again. Might not seem so lame after that second read.

  53. ocalarob says:

I’m not down on giving away multiple early draft picks for any one player, i’m exactly the opposite, i want to get more early picks.
as much as i would like to see Watson in Miami, no way am i following the stafford/rams philosophy.

  54. ocalarob says:

2.5 weeks till FA, that may tell a lot who we will be targeting in the draft.

  55. ocalarob says:

did i mention that Mac Jones is way better than Tua?

  56. ocalarob says:

Jones has way better throwing mechanics than Tua,

  57. ocalarob says:

how do i post a picture? can anyone explain that to me?

  58. Rhino says:

my 2 cents on all the Watson talk …

    1. For all of his amazing stats and awards, Watson is a clear example that not all QBs can carry their teams to consistent playoff appearances.

    2. Rebuilding teams (legit rebuilds, not the illusion of rebuilds that the Fins were stuck in for a decade), but real rebuilds are most successful with a QB on a rookie contract.
A trade for Watson absolutely blows up this current rebuild, and we become the new Texans… a great QB but without the ability to build around him over the foreseeable future.

    3. If the Fins are unhappy with Tua’s rookie season (!!) AND want to continue the rebuild, then it makes more sense to use the #3 pick on a QB and continue the rebuild with guys that fit Flores’ philosophy and character.

    4. Only way Fins get close to a deal for Watson is if Watson sits out or some other thing that dramatically drops the price.

    5. Finally, Flores has shown that he does not tolerate players wanting to dictate what the team does, no matter how talented they might be … see Minkah Fitzpatrick, Pro Bowl and First Team All-Pro in both of the last two seasons. I just can’t see Flores agreeing to bring in a guy who is forcing his way out of a team because he was part of front office decisions… no matter how talented. It doesn’t fit the character of “team first” guys.

  59. ocalarob says:

i have a JPEG of Tua, i can’t post that pic, when i drag it on it just shows the pic???

    • pheloniusphish says:

I copied the pic and pasted it in paint, then saved as a jpeg on my desktop, but cant post it on the site

got it, look how low and wide the ball is, Tua being 5’7″ tall, imagine trying to get that ball off in a crowd of 6’6″ tall DL & OL with their arms up?
this is why he can’t get the ball down field, his brain knows at times he can’t get the pass off so he holds it

  63. steveccnv says:

It’s exhausting looking at Fins new these days. Too much speculation disguised as fact on all the FAs and Watson.

I’d be surprised, if we sign anyone in FA over 10m per year avg.

  64. ocalarob says:

Wow Tiger woods suffered severe leg injuries, his right leg compound fractures in two places, i sure hope he recovers and can play golf again.

    Orob

    Google whatever image you like
    Click on it
    Copy it
    Then paste it

But make sure you copied the photo not the link
If you copy a photo it should end in jpg or some other format

If it doesn’t, you didn’t copy the photo you copied something else
If it starts with “google” you copied the search you did….lol

Here is an example of a photo I copied of the greatest QB of all time….lol

    • The Flying Pig says:

In order to find that photo I googled “why is ORob wrong”
      Then I clicked on images
Then I clicked on the image I liked
Then I tried to copy that but I copied the link.
So I went to the link and copied the photo
And then I copied the photo by clicking on the photo

When I pasted it I knew it would be the photo bc it ended in jpeg

Steve- Really? Debating isn’t allowed here? How do you figure that?

  68. Mike E. says:

Rob – Tell me, why do you think the Dolphins, Brian Flores included in this, decided to draft Tua? Give me your best idea as to why that happened?

Looks like perfect mechanics to me

I see pictures of Marino in his later years and he reminds me of Darth Vader. He had so many braces and pads. I wish he could have played in this era, he’d throw for 5,000 + yards every season

USFL passing yards were just as hard to come by as NFL yardage

  83. steveccnv says:

With the salary cap likely to go down, and with no one really knowing how that’s going to affect FA, it would be wise not to pay a high price for FAs, when FA opens.

    3. If the Fins are unhappy with Tua’s rookie season (!!) AND want to continue the rebuild, then it makes more sense to use the #3 pick on a QB and continue the rebuild with guys that fit Flores’ philosophy and character.
    ——————
I’m surprised that hasn’t been mentioned more. Was a lot when we first got #3. And if not sold on Tua is a logical move. Gonna be there even if Watson stays with the Texans or goes to a team other than us.

  85. Mike E. says:

Steve – Everyone gets to say what they want. How it’s received is up to the person who reads it and how they react is also up to them. I don’t see any censorship happening here, although occasionally when things get heated we try and steer the convo to something else. I don’t think it’s such a bad situation, so I don’t feel bad about how we handle things here in the least.

    • The Flying Pig says:

I feel good about the way we handle things

The reality is you can’t please everyone – that’s just the way it goes

Unless everyone gives up pork – that’s utopia

    • steveccnv says:

Mike, don’t take it so literal. It had nothing to do with sensorship. I was referring to people not wanting to debate and instead lecturing.

Don’t worry, you still have your A grade for free speech here🙃

  90. Mike E. says:

Rhino – Gotta be honest, if we draft a QB at #3 I’m gonna lose my shit. There’s not one prospect in this class other Trevor Lawrence that was a better prospect than Tua. Unless Tua has a medical issue that will hamper him his entire career or severely shorten, it just doesn’t make sense to take another QB. Flores was here when we drafted Tua. His IS one of his guys.

    • stangerx says:

It’s very unlikely, but if you are one of the guys who think Tua is a ball & chain rather than a springboard makes sense as the out option. Just one year later after all and we can trade Tua….. or the guy we pick for that matter.

I don’t want them to take Smith at three. Don’t really want them to take anyone at three. rather slide back a couple. If they do take a WR at three, let it be Waddle. Feel the need for speed.
