Less than 2 weeks away, and the closer it gets, the crazier it becomes. I’m willing to eat some crow here if I’m wrong, but those of you fawning over Micah Parsons or any other defender for that matter, are barking up the wrong tree. I mean no disrespect, but no matter how good our defense is, if we don’t surround our QB with premium weapons, why would you expect the offense to be premium? Let’s face it, the NFL is an offensive league, and the Kansas City Chiefs have proven that to be the case by making back to Super Bowl appearances, winning last year in 2020 but losing to the offensive powerhouse Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this past Super Bowl. Did TB have the better defense? Yes, but their defense was a compliment to their own high powered offense. The TB offense put up 492 points (#3 in the NFL) and allowed 355 points (8th in the NFL). The Miami Dolphins on the other hand were #15 in the NFL on offense, and to be fair, a lot of that was a decline in the offense after Tua took over for Fitzpatrick. The Dolphins averaged 26.6 points with Fitz at the helm and only managed 24.4 with Tua, including a couple of relief appearances by Fitz which helped that average. On defense, the Dolphins were #6 for points allowed at 21.1 PPG. My point is, if you think we’re taking a LB at #6, THINK AGAIN!!!
The Dolphins have to improve this offense and that could be done a few different ways. I’ve made it clear and will continue to reiterate that our WR corps is shaky at best. The top 3 are all health question marks, Parker, Fuller and Williams. The next 3, depending on what order you believe the depth chart is would be Bowden, Hurns and Wilson. The latter 2 haven’t played in over a year and were both recovering from serious injuries, Wilson with that terrible hip injury which he seemed to have finally shaken off by his last season’s end and Hurns who suffered a gruesome ankle injury with the Cowboys in January of ’19. Add Jakeem (No Hands) Grant and Malcolm Perry, Mack Hollins and Robert Foster and I’m sorry but you just can’t expect Tua to improve with this crew. No, they need TOP SHELF talent, and being at 6, we will get it. One of the following players will be there, Chase, Pitts or Smith. I had dismissed Smith for a while because once we acquired another WR who can’t stay on the field, my thought was the last thing we need is a 170 pound WR at #6, but there is familiarity and a super high level of talent there, and in spite of his smallish stature, he knows how to stay on the field and is a superior route runner who gets separation. I still believe if Chase or Pitts is there, we will go with one of those guys but if the Falcons don’t take a QB and the Bengals don’t go OL , potentially Pitts and Chase could go respectively.
While the O-line was much improved, from terrible to average, it’s not yet become a force. I think it’s pretty clear that both Solomon Kindley and Robert Hunt are our guards for the foreseeable future, and Austin Jackson is one of the bookends, most likely our LT. Penei Sewell could be that bookend that really pulls things together. I think the way we handled the center position in FA leads me to believe we’re going to draft a center, which would mean a 2nd or 3rd RD pick, because the acquisition of former Ravens C Matt Skura was underwhelming. The Ravens are a first class organization, and when they let a guy walk, there’s a reason. Add in the fact that he’s here on a 1YR deal makes me feel like Skura is here to start unless the rookie we draft beats him out or if the rookie isn’t ready to start. Sewell would be an upgrade over swingman Jesse Davis who has been wonderful filling in anywhere and everywhere. Giving Tua more time and confidence that he has ample time makes him a better QB.
I do think one of our first 4 picks will be on a LB/EDGE player, but not at #6, we just have to give Tua a chance here, and nothing we’ve done in the offseason despite a couple of potentially good signings in Will Fuller and Malcolm Brown have really elevated the talent here. Fuller is too often injured and Brown is a committee type RB, not a bell cow back. There are LB’s and tweener LB/EDGE guys that could help at #18 like Jaelan Phillips, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Kwity Paye, Gregory Rousseau, Azeez Ojularia, Jayson Oweh etc. I get the Parsons love, I do, but with the state of our offense, I think that needs to be the focal point for a premier player, just the way I feel. We simply can’t wait to see who’s available at #18, unless we trade up from #18, which is possible, it’s about getting great players that impact the team, not about quantity. Quality over quantity every time, especially where we’re at in the rebuild.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

One last comment before getting house back in order:
I don’t think Grier/Flores see any of these ‘elite’ pass catchers as the “one guy who puts us over the top”. We outplayed our roster last year, so this roster is still being built into the team Flores can compete with at the top end of NFL for years, not just the immediate future.
With that in mind, building around ‘franchise QB’ means completing the OL build and developing a run game (look at the kind of OL we’ve drafted so far… road graters).
When we slow down and look at it, we have several positions that need upgrades and/or depth: RB, healthy WR lol, OL, LB, Edge, depth at Safety … taking a pass catcher in top 10 still ‘feels’ like a luxury pick in the context of the rebuild progression AND how the 10 wins is a cheap way of evaluating the talent/depth of the roster. Get your QB and then Winning the trenches on every play (both sides of the ball) is still how to Rebuild a team.
IF we go pass catcher, we need to make sure we get another OL that can step in and excel immediately. I think I read Steveccnv taking/reaching Jenkins at 18 … which I think is the right logic IF we go pass catcher with our first pick.
Essentially, I don’t think pass catcher is the ‘lock’ pick the media is frothing over. I love all those players, but my gut keeps saying that Grier/Flores understand where we our roster REALLY is compared to where everyone else ASSUMES it is. Patience.
Think Grier is more in love with trading down, which means he likes a lot of players and the comp, more than 1 player
Could Grier be unsure about this year’s draft class with no combine and weird college scgedule, so to minimize the inadequacy he wants more picks instead of a top 6?
Think Top 6 or not will be about what player is there and/or what kind of deals are being offered. That more picks for safety in uncertain times factor might more come into play at #18 and below.
Another guess
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/miami-dolphins-top-target-is-kyle-pitts-but-could-move-down-in-top-10/
I don’t see the point of the trade we made to get back to #6 if Grier didn’t wanna be there. We could have simply stayed at #12. I don’t think we see another trade out of #6 unless they get a great deal and don’t drop too far.
He’s put us in position to play the draft, if someone you must have is at 6 take him, if not trade back.
After the trade it was written that we may be blocking NE from moving up to take a QB, by being at 6.
If 4 QBs go top 4, the cheats may be fucked, if Philly was still at 6, they could’ve done a cheats trade, we won’t
Whatever he was thinking when we made the trade, we are at #6 and should do whatever makes sense after picks #4 and #5 come out.
Who knows — maybe he wanted Smith all along no matter what and knew for sure he’d still be there at #6 and wasn’t 100% on after that. Just a possible example there.
Who is responsible for the back button right below where the next line button is.
I don’t know how many deleted posts I’ve had, because I hit the wrong key😈
If you just got forward, won’t it appear again?
It’s not about it disappearing
I think I’m in comment mode, and I’m not, the 2 buttons look similar and are in relatively the same place
Fluker and Hunt graded out basically the same last year. Who do you trust more as a coach? Also, like I said several times, last year after Kindley went out they played Davis at RT and moved Hunt to RG often. Why do that if you’re sold on Hunt at RT? Davis could have easily been put at RG, and Hunt stays at RT.
Every move isn’t made for some particular purpose, sometimes they see a vet they can pick up for cheap and they do it
MikeE,
I have read most of Feist’s fantasy stuff. His Krondor books are some of my favorites. He has no problem killing off characters, so I like him. Lol
NO, We could have not stayed at 12!
it was a 3 team trade,
just ask Tim!!!
He could be right if Grier wouldn’t have done the 2nd trade without the first.
Any way you slice it was 2, 2 team trades intertwined, so that one doesn’t happen without the other. A faux 3 team trade, without Philly and sf in contact with each other
At least the Philly trade doesn’t happen without the San Fran one. Don’t think the Niners could have cared less.
Kong posted an article of Grier explaining the trade last night. That’s all I was trying to tell you, what our GM said went down. So you can disagree with him if you want. LOL
steve,
Anything is possible, but I doubt they made a trade with the idea of blocking another team from doing anything. That’s just weak. Besides, bellicheat has no problem taking a QB in any round and developing him.
If that were true we would be open to trades within our division, like they were out of division trades
Yeah it’s weak, but how weak is it when we cut someone right before we play the cheats, they sign him, then cut him the next weak?
Lots of gamesmanship happens, that we don’t hear about
steve,
I don’t really care about the Fluker signing. It was that they played Davis at RT and slid Hunt inside to RG. If you truly feel Hunt is your RT of the future, you don’t do that. And it wasn’t just a play here or there. I’m just reading the tea leaves and guessing, but that indicates to me that they are still trying to figure out where he fits best. Davis ain’t much better at tackle, but he does give you a little more consistency than a rookie, if you’re the coach.
Based on what Fluker got paid with the Ravens, his contract should be light. Like say $2 mil. That’s a top back-up. And Fluker and Davis being 6th and 7th in makes for real nice dept on the OL.
Notice how Najee reacts when Max mentions him going to us Phins. His face lit up and he started playing with his hair.
Like you are on a dating site. 🙂
For future folks that reaction about the Dolphins is at 5:00.
I like the kid. Humble and smart. And can’t complain about an athlete RB who can catch passes and is 6’2″ , 230. Might scare some DBs.
Sat up straight, pulled his hair back, smiled…..total change in affect.
He’ll be a true professional
If he was on any other team he’d be talked about in top 10
^
Agreed on both accounts, Steve.
Phelon, I missed this one last week about gun control.
Dude is funny.
I really liked the interview, too. There were a couple of times where I thought Najee was going to step into it ($#!t), but he didn’t. He’s charismatic, honest, bright, thoughtful, and has awareness in the moment… he’s a great interview.
Najee is my #1 RB now, and I endorse him @ R1P18.
Think I get too locked up in the values sometimes. If Harris is supposed to go in the mid-20s and you like him….. worse things than taking him at #18.
+1000000000000000
1 week away! Here’s what I’ve got for our first 3 rounds…
R1P6: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
R1P18: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
R2P4: Greg Rousseau, DE, Miami
R2P18: Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama
R3P18: Richie Grant, S, UCF
— IF Greg Rousseau can be what he’s projected to become — and under Coach Flores’ leadership/mentorship — I’d feel safer taking him in the 2nd, should he last that long. He’ll be a project being he’s so young without much college experience, but he could be incredible down the road.
— I keep going back and forth on Landon Dickerson, due to his injury history. There a few other Centers who could work, but I like the familiarity of Dickerson snapping it to Tua. I’ll probably change my mind a few more times before next Thursday.
— Richie Grant is a STUD! Have him sit for a year behind either Rowe or McCain, and watch him flourish. He’ll replace one or the other in 2022.
Chase is a good call. Probably most likely player we pick at #6. Think Pitts goes before him, including with Cincy.
Thank you! Yes, I’m figuring that Pitts is going to somehow be off the board before we pick. If he’s there for us, I think Pitts is the pick. But realistically, I think Chase will be there.
Cincy is LOADED with weapons, and Reilly Reiff is only there on a 1-year deal… they should take Penei Sewell and count their blessings for saving Joe Burrow’s career.
* Riley Reiff
R5P12: Chauncey Golston, DE, Iowa
Randy should like this one.
Heard it said Jerry ( Dallas) has a hard on for Pitts… if he’s still there at 6, Take him to the cleaners, and pick at 10 🙌
Nothing would surprise me in “Jerry World”! But if they don’t improve their Defense (namely CB), Pitts will be a wasted pick for them.
^
If Pitts is at six we take him….. but then haven’t heard Jerry’s offer yet. Any player is tradeable so long as you offer enough.
#10, #44#75 & 22 first for #6
You got me thinking Jerry, but come’on….. Snyder gave up a whole lot more for RG3 and your balls are bigger than that little guy’s. 🙂
if you figure we gave up a 22 first to move to 6, i doubt they can justify moving to 10 without at least that haul.
they have to make a profit moving off of 6, otherwise they won’t look too intelligent.
Sorry ORob…. it was a reasonable/good trade scenario. 2nd, 3rd and 2022 first to move up from #10 to #6. Kind of deal with a QB seeking team could see we take if Pitts and Chase are gone. But if Pitts is there depends on how much they value him.
If you are a GM, what you don’t want to be is the GM who passed on Kyle Pitts unless grabbing a QB. But trading out of your spot would give you cover on that.

I’m picturing Kramer saying this!
LOL — never thought of myself as Kramer, but think it fits. Would have to ask Bookman. 🙂
LOL, it fits! Kramer (the character) is one of my faves. Yes, even I enjoyed some Seinfeld back in the day. 😀
One week until the big day and all the speculation is over. 🙂
That’s right! Time to speculate away, while we still have the chance.

Yessir! Makes me wonder if he knows something… !!!
Or at least, his true preference of teams… !!!
Him and Tua are tight as you know.
Indeed! Former roomies at Alabama.
And to be sure, it was Tua who changed Najee’s mind from Michigan to Alabama… as seen on the first video I posted about a week ago.
They knew each other before that. I didn’t know that until you posted that video.
Reading all the draft articles, one thing comes out as strange. They talk about the Falcons trading down all the time but almost never the Bengals. Anyone know why? Bengals could pop down a few spots and still get Sewell or one of the top 3 WRs.
If Sewell is their target they should stay put. That pick makes so much sense for them.
100% agreed, Tim. The Bengals should not over-think it.
The mental gymnastics about the draft the draft crack me up. Grier set this up perfectly. Let’s wait and see…lol.
1 week away! Here’s what I’ve got for our first 5 rounds… (re-post from above, including our 5th rounder this time)…
R1P6: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU
R1P18: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
R2P4: Greg Rousseau, DE, Miami
R2P18: Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama
R3P18: Richie Grant, S, UCF
R5P12: Chauncey Golston, DE, Iowa
I would love too see Najee here, too….lol
And, that’s why his play at AL and schooling beyond his talent, and his recognition of the that, wanting to compete and go against the best.
Good kid….
See what happens when I hurry through a post. Oh my.
^to
Right there with ya, Krishna. Najee is worthy, IMO, @ R1P18.
Huh? I don’t know what i did there…
who wants to go skiing at seal island?
LOL
😀
Krishna, I hear you’re going to Seal Island this year to go water skiing?
With Ocean Ramsey, right on!
Witnessed live, Orca tossing a sea lion with Mrs. K off Vancouver Island. Wanna go?
Lmao!
That’s cool! I love Killer Whales, too.
So cool, so amazing, it was Omg!
LOL, I’m actually being serious with ya, man. To see things in nature like that is incredible, and rare to see. I’m truly fascinated by nature, the vastness of it, and how small we truly are as humans.
Seems like you get it….
Random…had an experience when I really felt like fish food when I was snorkeling off the coast Maui and staring into the ocean abyss. Amazing!
Didn’t need any paste….lol.

Oh, I get it, alright. I love wildlife like you wouldn’t believe, Krishna. I’m not a hunter, I’m a preserver. We see eye-to-eye on a great many things, man… we should try to focus on that, not that which we disagree upon, ya know?
And by that, I’m NOT trying to talk politics on this board, MAN! LOL
I think your perception of my politics skews who I really am.
Fair enough…..i get along with a lot of people who are polar opposites of me politcally as long as they’re straight up and not full of bullshit.
What you call “bullshit” is a mere opinion… and vice-versa. So long as we stay divided by opinionated “bullshit”, we can’t come together as one. I mean, somebody is going to call YOUR opinion “bullshit”, in their opinion as well. NOBODY WINS!!!
That’s why I’m only talking football here anymore… and even then, some people are going to call “BULLSHIT!”! LOL
Life is too short, Bro. If you really want to laugh at life, watch “History of the World, Part I”, by Mel Brooks! If you’re still on your high, you will LOVE IT!
You don’t get it! And, it’s sad.
Most on this blog have an agenda and a side.
I try to see the whole picture. Some do, most don’t.
I really don’t care and love to watch.
Have you ever people watched? Mrs. K and i did all the time and compared notes. Not being judgemental, just watching, musing, and witnessing.
So many ways to express oneself. Mine has been bitter and angry for a while. Facts.
But there is bullshit in the world too. Stepped in that a time or two.
Oops, probably shouldn’t have sent that.
Least shouldn’t have put out the sad part. But-hey — think I’m even-keeled and objective but maybe I’m not. Who thinks otherwise about themself?
I am at home in nature, mf13ss. Most nature. The desert is not my thing.
Did i spell that right?
Nor is an igloo!
Yeah, deserts and igloos aren’t my thing, either! LOL
Does anyone know about Central America, Belize specifically, or surrounding expat communities? Lol…another random thought.
Lol…the 100th iteration of the draft leaves me bored.
Dolphins, Orcas, fish food is my best….
I work with multiple Central Americans… and I consider them to be very close friends of mine. And yes, I’m well educated about Central America. Why do you ask, I wonder?
I might add… ALL of them waited, by coming through the front door to America. Not a one of them jumped the border. As such, THEY are our fellow Americans.
Don’t know why I capitalized “THEY”… that was poor on my part. WE are fellow Americans.
You thinking about a place to retire? No doubt your money goes a lot farther in Belize.
Costa Rica, too.
* Rico
Yes….the money works I think and close enough to “home”.
Just going a step beyond why I retired in Florida. How can anyone ignore cost of living?
I love the beach. Total beachcomber.
Randy – Feist seems to love him some blacksmiths. His best characters are smithys. Let me know if you felt this one started slow but then really got a head of steam. I enjoyed it once it got going and I also really liked the 2nd book.

You can either choose to wallow in misery for the rest of your days, or you can choose to look at the happier/funnier/lighter part of life. It’s a choice we ALL have to make, ya know? This isn’t about you, it’s about all of us, as humans.
It’s alright to be VERY compassionate about what ya believe in (see ME!), but if it leads one to misery, that’s not a place I choose to dwell. Stay FIRM in your beliefs, but don’t allow it to consume you, mi amigo.
Grief vs wallowing. Please don’t judge me. You haven’t a clue!
And, I’m being nice.
Not trying to judge, by any means. I don’t know you personally, all I can go by is what you say on here. And I’m certainly not going to judge you by giving you pity, either. You are strong, Krishna.
Krishna — Mrs K was a gentle, lovely and interesting woman. Really liked her. Time to move on though. She would want you to.
I actually care about my fellow human. Contact me if you’d like: mf13ss@hotmail.com.
I think you should drop it, mf13ss!
Do not question my strength or fortitude! I certainly have not seen much of here.
As you wish, Krishna.
Prediction, Atl takes Trey Lance or Mac Jones at 4, then trades Matt Ryan to the cheats for 15 and 1st rd picks the next 2 years
Interesting. Kinda hope that doesn’t happen. I think Ryan would thrive in that system.
Would you trade three 1st round picks for Matt Ryan at this point in his career?
wouldn’t trade three 1s for Ryan at any point in his career, but Belicheat probably only has a couple of years left. He’s all in to win now.
LOL, me neither. That’s not really the Patriot way though. That would also send Cam into another meltdown.
The Pets have gone away from their way this offseason. I really believe it’s for a final run or two, so I could see that trade happening. I agree though, it won’t be for three 1s. Maybe just one 1 and a couple of 2nds or something.
Whatever the comp, it’s an interesting scenario because it instantly fixes the Pets biggest problem, which is Cam.
And Cam having another meltdown would be fun for us to watch, lol.
Just for clarity, I wouldn’t put money on that trade happening, but I see it as an interesting possibility lol.
I think the idea is interesting too, but not at that price. The Pats will probably get him for four 7th rd picks over the next few years. LOL
LOL
Everyone has their views for a reason, and the disagreements are often not what the other person thinks it’s about. I have found politics programs people who are staunch in their views. So certain topics or opinions stir up automatic responses and that’s not healthy. Oh and the typed word is the worst way to do it but I admit I fall into that hole more often than I should.
Okay let us get back to the cool stuff. 🙂
Who do you want at 6?
I like a few prospects and we all pretty much know who the top guys are. Based on pure value and upside I don’t think you would be wrong with Pitts, Chase or Sewell. On defense I think you know who I like. He played for the same school M13 went to. 😉
Pick one! Lol…who do you want??? Lol
I’d actually be cool with any of them. They all make sense to me and each one of them sets up the rest of our draft in a different way.
^
Not sure what to say you to you, stangerx. Let’s drop it! No one knows where I’m at. And, no one is in my shoes.
Offered with the best intentions. Saw what it was like for my Dad after Mom passed.
Cards pitching finally had a good day pitching where we didn’t give up any runs. I mean, we didn’t play today, but I guess you have to start somewhere, lol.
Pitts, Parsons, and Najee would be a wet dream…lol. Is that even possible?
I think our defense needs needs someone special. JMO.
I think it is if the draftniks are right that RBs may not go 1st round. We’d have to do some trade ups though or at least one for Parsons. Najee could be there at #36 but I’m not confident in that.
You know how I feel about defense. I’m with you on that.
I do agree with you on D! I don’t see any other game changer in the draft on that side of the ball. Everyone else seems like fillers. Lol.
Bill Belichick negotiating trades.
LB is one of those most instinctual positions on the field. That’s why Nick and Zach were exceptional.
If Parsons is close, give me that.
Our defense is being set up to be LB heavy. That’s why Parsons makes sense.
Yep.
Undersized Nick and Zack made a difference, don’t you think same motor on Parsons with his size would?
He’s 6’3″ I think with speed. WTF? Huge dude that loves to take people out. Lmao.
Krishna – Belize has some of the best diving in the world, including the “Wall.” Drops straight down, 1000’s of feet. Primarily English speaking country, great rivers and rain forests. Real estate is more expensive than Costa Rica. Stable government and society. Pretty laid back, but Has gotten a little more dangerous the last few years. Costa Rica is a bit less stable, Gets an influx of the cartel traffic. Primarily a Spanish speaking country although many speak English. Still pretty inexpensive.
Thank you! I’m in research mode…and need all the help I can get.
I think the numbers work either place…..
I want to see a killer defense.
Yep!
I have a friend here in ATX and he has a container business/home in San Ramone, Costa Rica (thinks that correct). Definitely, CR. He’s visiting as we speak. Deceased wife’s family there…big party for his return last week. Can’t wait to see him when he gets back.
Two old fuckers scootering through Austin on Tuesdays, weather permitting, eating drinking, smoking! No wallowing!
He buried his wife 5 years earlier.
To be clear, don’t judge me. Doing the best I can.

My man and mentor Shock-G has passed away. He was found dead in a Tampa Bay hotel room earlier today, in seemingly the same fashion as Vincent Jackson.
Needless to say, I’m in heavy-flowing tears right now… I’m so saddened by this, dammit…
Talk to you guys later
Sorry to hear
If they can’t score they can’t win. I’m so glad we have a HC in Flores who is a defense guy.
Bucky Brooks made a good point today when talking about if the Pats stay at #15 what do they do. He said CB is a priority with their defense because they play so much man. Same thing we’ve been doing. Now we need more pass rush; whether off the edge or blitzing from everywhere. We need more closing speed from the front 7. We have really good talent in the secondary.
I was always impressed with the fact that Shock G once got busy in a Burger King bathroom.

Was listening to WQAM and they had frequent guest Mike Florio on, Florio says the Dolphins are going to take Jaylen Waddle. Sorry fucknut, the Dolphins didn’t trade back up to #6 to take Jaylen Waddle.
I think there’s a scenario where it might happen
If chase and Pitts are off the board – then what happens?
I’m guessing g they would take Smith or maybe parsons or seiwell
But if they insist on a weapon, they are choosing between Smith and waddle
I’m not sure waddle isn’t the better prospect
But it totally undermines the trade up
I wouldn’t be happy
What Waddle does is fit with their trades and MO.
He’s for sure going to be there at 6 and maybe 9 with another trade.
They like to maximize draft picks, by moving down and getting value.
They like guys that play multiple positions.
It would make Grant expendable.
Everything leads to multiple options, so they can’t screw something up royally.
Not sure I’d take him at 6, but I’m fine at nine
Krishna – Hugs my man, plenty of hugs to you. Sorry to see you hurting, but completely understand why. The short time I met Mrs Krishna it was easy to see how special she was.
Ty……….
Piggy – I don’t see a scenario where both Pitts and Chase are off the board. I know it can happen, I just don’t see it.
Me either. Even if Atlanta sits and takes one of them, I just don’t see Cincy taking anything but a Tackle.
^
And if Cincy does take anything other than a Tackle, they should all be fired on the spot.
I think it’ll be really hard to screw up this draft, but stranger things have happened. Should be entertaining either way.
That’s what they try to avoid at all costs, and a benefit of trading out of 3, more options, less eggs in 1 basket.
Krishna, When checking out some getaways, put Roatan, Honduras on your list. It is very secure as far as crime. Not like the mainland. It is a 30 mile long island but very wide so you get ocean views from just about everywhere with superb beaches, fishing, snorkeling, and diving. Laid back beach living. If you are looking at purchasing real-estate, it is very reasonable also. You can probably still purchase a condo for under 200K or a nice home for under 400K.
The island has a major airport and can get a direct flight from Houston, TX.

Roatan has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world.
Several people I know have gone diving there, nice over the water huts too
I meant to say the island is NOT very wide.
Roatan is on my list, thanks.
My friend has suggested taking a few extended (3 to 4 weeks) vacations and visting a few places on each trip for a about a week at each locale and check out the vibe, tour guides, government, locals, etc.
My partner’s dad went to Roatan for 3 years after his spouse died. Said due to the poverty there, he felt like a target. Hmmmm
Fans and analysts believe the team is looking to add one of the top offensive weapons with the #6 pick, but what if we have been wrong? Perhaps the Dolphins are fooling everyone and are going to add a top defensive player instead. If the Dolphins do select a defensive player it would shock the entire NFL world, but I just don’t see it happening. Too many good offensive players that they could take at #6.
SBNation
Don’t have a problem taking D, but highly unlikely at 6, maybe 9-12
SBNATION via SS
Roatan (the waters around it) are absolutely beautiful! The water is so clear is is MORE clear than bath water. You can read the name of the ships floating overhead in 120′ of water. The reef was pristine (2008) with little die off. I love going to Cayman because the waters there are so clear too, but they have had polution / water temp die off on the reef this past decade to the point that it is obvious from one year to the year after. It has been a long time since I was in Roatan, but it was fantastic. The people were nice, many spoke English and it was cheep at the time (as compared to Cayman or Cayman Brach which set’s their Dollar at 20% over US dollar in value. your US$ is worth $.80 C$ when you get off the plane. 😦
I recommend Roatan if you DIVE. Not much else to do there though. (fishing is good too)
Me, my buddy and his wife “Roughed it” in jungle tree houses for 4 days. It was awesome. Like our own private jungle resort and went diving every day / dining every night.
Piggy, Philyor?
Did Colonpokey make that pick?
😂😂😂
Philyor Butts, Tight End, FU
I’m surprised that No one commented on my selection of Safety Nick “Pickett” last night
I can’t resist a safety named after the interception
I really hope Nick Pickett chooses “6” as a number and has a successful nfl career
Mile E
I hope you are right about there not being a scenario
But I keep hearing “experts” say the draft starts with Atlanta, in fact Chris Mortenson was making an argument that basically states that Atlanta was very happy with Matt Ryan and might want to put weapons around him
I think that’s crazy. If I’m Atlanta, even if I don’t want a QB, I’m taking a DB like Surtain. That team blew so many leads last year
Tim,
Another thing NE doesn’t do is go after high end sack edge guys. We do it like they do it. Pressure from everywhere and 4 or 5 guys getting 6-8 sacks. I would bet NE hasn’t had very many double digit sack guy for years. Chandler Jones was their last consistent 10+ sack guy, and they let him go. It’s why I don’t see us going after a pure edge rusher. An all-around guy who does everything well and can move up and down the DL is more inline with how NE and we do our defense. Solid coverage on the back end and consistent pressure up front.
They do like their LBs though and we seem to be going after them too.
Parsons, Owusu, and Collins seem to fit.
I like Rousseau too, but he really doesn’t fit the mold in the 1st for the reasons you stated
I think that’s why a guy like Kwity Paye could be a target of ours.

Me either. Even if Atlanta sits and takes one of them, I just don’t see Cincy taking anything but a Tackle.
*******
The thing is Burrow is public pushing for Jamarr Chase
I think it’s crazy too
Their OL was horrible last year
And their rookie got hurt
Ordinarily that screams – “build your OL”
But I’ve seen teams so dumb things before
If I were the GM I would take an OT (as would most of the people on this board)
But teams do dumb things from time to time and Chase is a special talent
Nick Pickett our new #6
He actually wears 16 now…lol
Make it happen in the 7th round Dolphins
Be cool to have a safety named Pickett, “Pick it”. lol
Pickett 6
A lot of media people like C Quinn Meinerz for us the Wisconsin White Water C/OG
He didn’t play center until Senior Bowl practices, where he shined, and Flores was his coach.
He didn’t play in the game, because of a broken bone in his hand. Flores wouldn’t let him in until winning formation, but he should know if he fits for us
He’s in DJ’s top 50. I’d say he’s probably the 4th or 5th rated C on most things I’ve read.
steve,
I’ve been looking at LBers lately, and there are actually a fair number in this draft I like. I’m not sure if all of them are good fits for us, but this is a good draft for LBers, in general, I think. Cox and Davis can be added to your list too. Cox is almost more of a S/LB kinda guy, but he’s a good fit for how the NFL works these days with having LB in coverage more and more. He’s like Baker but maybe not as good a tackler. I brought him up 2 years ago when he was at NDSU as a guy to watch. He had no problem playing with the big boys when he transferred to LSU.
Not sold on Cox, but there are a lot of LBs in this draft that fit what we do and are good prospects.
The draft is light at DE, but we really need a do it all OLB-Edge, more than a DE-Edge
Piggy,
It’s bad form for a QB to lobby for OL help. It’s basically a slap in the face of your OL group. Not cool. Burrows is smart not to do so. His life may depend on it. Lol
That’s a good point
Imagine if the QB said “you have to replace this OL. They suck!”
Not sure why everyone thinks Cincy goes with Sewell at #5. There are some good OT’s who will be there when they pick again at #38. This is actually a good draft for OT’s
After, Sewell, Slater, Darrisaw and Jenkins you have:
Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State
Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama
Samuel Cosmi OT Texas
Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame
Jalen Mayfield OT Michigan
Walker Little OT Stanford
James Hudson OT Cincinnati
Jackson Carman OT Clemson
Spencer Brown OT Northern Iowa
Stone Forsythe OT Florida
Brady Christensen OT BYU
The top 5 of this list will probably all go in 2nd round. Another may sneak into 1st. The top 3 are studs/solid and could probably go to Cincy at #38. The rest of the list will probably go in 3rd to top of 4th.
Wishful thinking
I’m not sure why, but I’ve always had a bias against Missouri players. I just don’t like them usually. But, Nick Bolton is a fun guy to watch play. He’s not the most athletic guy in the world, but he hits like a truck at around 230 pounds. I’d be a little worried about his ability to cover, but for some reason he kinda reminds me of Lavonte David. I don’t think I’d draft him in the top 3 rounds, but he’s a fricking hitting machine for a smallish LB. You just don’t see big hitters much anymore.
TEAM PICKS

TRADES
Trade Partner: Jacksonville Jaguars
Sent:
Round 1 Pick 18
Received:
Round 1 Pick 25
Round 2 Pick 13
I think I have a trade addiction problem. I can’t help myself.
So does Grier, so if you do a mock without trades it’s carrap
BBM,
Why? Because Cincy could use about 4 new OL. They could spend their first 3 picks on the OL. lol
Never forget
It’s not April 1st, so this is a bunch of crap, smokescreen 101
it was from 2020
This was for last year guys
It was a smokescreen last year
It’s just a reminder r
Lmao
Historical, just wish we saw more logic like this with other things
Hi, my name is Rock, well “Rock Trady Pants” actually, and I’m addicted to trading in NFL Mock Drafts
I keep wanting to comment on his drafts and say “good draft” until I see 16 trades that defy the laws of physics
I keep it ton two trades or less! LOL
Of course sometimes I even say “this will never happen” but who thought Tunsil would fall to us.
I was about to say good pick on Ossai in the 2nd round before I saw “pick 13” and I was like WTF is with pick 13 in the 2nd….🤷♂️
This guy, hiding in his basement for a year is going to make the draft very uncomfortable the first time he sees a live person since March 2020
He’ll be like the male dog at the dog park, that doesn’t have much interaction with dogs his size
Have I mentioned today that Colin Cowherd is a moron?
I refuse to even repost the video that made me want to post this. He is just a frigging idiot who tries to get clicks by saying stupid shit. Kind of like some basement dwellers on this site.
There’s a couple media personalities like Cowherd and Skip Bayless who will always work the clickbait angle
It doesn’t matter how many times they are wrong
They have jobs bc they have ratings
And they have ratings bc controversy drives ratings
So it’s more important for them to say something controversial than it is to same something accurate
“Smith or Waddle would be the smallest player ever taken in the top 10 of any NFL draft.”
Why is that in quotes? Who said that?
In quotes cause it was a quote. 🙂
And from a Hyde piece.
Times are changing, but I’d bet that wasn’t true. In the ’60s or ’70s there may have been some little guys selected early or at least close to their size.
Warfield rd1 pick 11 1964 6′ 188, so he’s bigger
Jerry Butler 6′ 178 in 1979, is all I could find, but he’s bigger, so I’m going to say that’s accurate
There’s no doubt smaller guys have played in the NFL. Not sure if any have ever gone top 10 though….. and would take a lot of research to find one who was.
Piggy, I think most media today want to be the next Cowherd, Smith, or Bayless. They are paid outrageous sums to never care about facts, or honesty and never are really called out for it. He’s just a personality. A contributor.
People love drama, the more outlandish the lie, the bettet
That’s Stephen A Smith?
Those are the three I had in mind when I mentioned it
If you think about it, it’s really hard to keep long radio shows on sports talk radio interesting. It’s basically all they can do
In a way you can blame 24 hour cycles for sports news and that there’s a ton of channels to choose. It’s just a ratings game. You have to search for substance scouting reports on YouTube. There are people that do a good job breaking things down and being informative – but some of the people that really are in the spotlight a lot are the worst and have the worst s most uniformed takes
That’s fine
Some people like controversy and it sells
But it’s like no one ever holds them to account when they are wrong. There ought to be a tipping point when you realize some is wrong more often than not. They never have to answer for being wrongs. Anyone can generate controversy. Generate controversy and be right too. Let’s look at your numbers then…lol
Sounds an awful lot like MSM
steve — why MSM and not just media in general? You’ve watched Hannity and Tucker. I get the need to keep people interested.
Fox is Main stream Stanger…..
Technically Rock, but when Trump folks call MSM fake news do you think they really mean Tucker Carlson?
Stanger I completely agree with you and Steve I disagree
But let’s just NOT approach it from a political posture
My post is entirely about Sports Media
It’s nonpolitical
Let’s make an effort to keep one thing apolitical
Waddle is Brandon Cooks size
And Cooks has had a really good career. Cooks went 20.
Tyreke Hill and Stefan Diggs are good examples of smaller receivers who excelled in the nfl. Neither was a first.
Diggs was a 5th rounder
There were people (ehem Pigs) saying positive things about Diggs potential in the nfl when he was at Maryland
I just remember Diggs being on Omar’s crush list the year he came out.
That’s the only real good scouting job I ever remember from him.
If that draft was redone today both would go top 10, so doesn’t mean it will never happen, but if we don’t take one in the top 10 I think both will fall
I can tell you both D and I mentioned Diggs on this blog well before the draft he was drafted – like a year before it
I think Diggs was injured in his final year at Maryland if o remember correctly so he fell off the radar
I have done a minimum of 50 mock drafts on Fanspeak and draft network and from my experience I can guarantee one thing. There will be very good players available at #6 and potentially at #18
If we can’t get a good player with at worst the third non-QB on the board…… NFL might as well just cancel the draft.
Am wondering how different #18 is from #24 though.
Chad Reuter from NFL.com has a 7 RD mock out. Has us getting Ja’Marr Chase and Jaelan Phillips in RD 1, Travis Etienne and Landon Dickerson in RD2. (Jovonte Williams was still available but Najee went RD1 to the Jets)
This is pretty much what I think we’ll do, but you can mix and match players. I think we might choose Jovonte Williams over Etienne although Etienne is more polished. I can definitely see Phillips or some other EDGE/LB at that spot too.
That makes sense
But that’s the thing about the 18 slot
It might be just out of range for some one like parsons and maybe a little too early for a Najee or the edge players
I can tell you who is the best edge rusher at 18. They all kind of seem like the same quality to me
I wouldn’t mind trading down at 18 and then maybe using the extra ammo to trade up in the 3rd round so we end up with a late first and 3 second rounders (in addition to the 6 pick)
Brown is 33. Looks like the Chiefs are playing in the now. And can’t blame them for that.
They get a young, proven talent, but it makes you wonder what they think of the tackles available beyond Sewell
Stanger – Brown is 25
LOL — shows you the perils of a quick google search where you take the first stat you see. 25 makes the trade more interesting though. Will be curious to see what those unnamed picks are.
🤣
Brown is HUGE, 6’8 345 and has true OT bloodlines
Dated 3 women for a while once…. tired the F out of me. Not sure how this guy did it. But hell yeah he had to work part time.
Disclaimer — 2 knew exactly what was going on and the 3rd just never asked (and no promises were given).
————————–
A Japanese man has been arrested after reportedly dating more than 35 women at the same time.
Takashi Miyagawa, a part-time worker, is being investigated for allegedly defrauding dozens of women by pretending he was serious about each of their relationships and receiving hundreds of pounds worth of gifts from them.
He was apparently caught out when the women joined forces to create a victims’ association after discovering his extensive infidelity and reported him to the police.
Phillips has those concusion issues, so I’d go Owusu, like Williams better too.
Can’t complain about Chase
I don’t worry about the medical side. If we take Phillips he was cleared
It’s not all that huge. Piece it together and maybe like pick #22 or something.
——————————————-
“Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs have acquired offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., a 2021 NFL Draft pick (58th overall) and a 2022 sixth-round draft pick, in exchange for their first-round 2021 NFL Draft pick (31st overall), as well as two others in 2021 — a third-round (94th overall) and fourth-round pick (136th overall) — and a fifth-rounder in 2022, sources confirmed.”
I agree didn’t really give up that much
Assume is cause he’s going into a contract year and the Ravens didn’t plan to re-sign.
ESPN just showed the jets projected starters before the draft, and they’ve got Becton and maybe a wr, doubt they take an RB in rd 1
Orlando Brown, Jr. has been asking for a trade because he wants to play left tackle like his dad. Ravens have Ronnie Stanley at LT and just gave him a 5-year extension.

Piggy – Burrow said two days ago that he wasn’t advocating for Chase or Sewell. Said the team management knew far more about that kind of stuff than him.
LOL
Why ORob? One thing he was good at was not throwing INTs, but you wanted to show 3 of the 5 he did.
Just tryna to let your let down be an easy transfer
My let down? I’ve been the guy most Tua concerned on this board after you….. even if a huge gap btwn 1st and 2nd.
and Kick’n off Friday night music with

Take good care of yourselves guys. Stay healthy and eat healthy. And stay away from the $#!t that rots your body. I fear my man probably OD’ed, but he’d been looking as thin as a rail as of late.
best cover, and personal tribute ever IMO
this is awesome
I like Heart, and I like Stairway to Heaven. Nice! Thanks for posting, David.
that song is awesome, love how its backed up by a huge orchestra and choir, lol
wow
Phel, I know You are somehow involved with the wounded warrior project, but i dont personally care for how that one is run.
but, i do feel strongly about helping the homeless and forgotten veterans, i remember the vietnam vets coming home, and getting hit with tomatoes, and even as a child, i knew that was VERY WRONG
this song motivated me to do something about it, and donate to the cause of forgotten soldiers.
I have that version of STH on my iPod, I need to take it off. I find her voice gets shrilly and it just doesn’t sound right for that song. Don’t like their cover of the Righteous Brothers “Unchained Melody” either, but love Heart.
