Miami Dolphins 2021 Schedule

The 2021 schedule is out, and I think our much improved team should have an exciting season. I think we covered 2 serious spots that needed an upgrade. WR was the position I felt we just had to improve and drafting Jaylen Waddle accomplished that. The familiarity that Waddle and Tua have is just one small part of the equation, We so desperately needed a talent upgrade, and I think the type of receiver Waddle is is the perfect complement to our current WR corps. DeVante Parker has the talent, and we’ve seen him take over games. We’ve also seen him fight through nagging injuries and not be able to give the team his usual production. In free agency we signed former Texans WR Will Fuller. Well, Fuller has yet to play a full 16 game schedule, and hey, now we play 17! In 5 seasons, he played 53 games and missed 27. Hopefully Waddle will be the steady performer week in and week out. His home run ability from anywhere on the field will help Tua, because he can take a short pass a long way and can also take the top off the defense with his deep speed. Add in Preston Williams, Lynn Bowden Jr., Allen Hurns, Albert Wilson, Mack Hollins, Jakeem Grant, Kirk Merritt and Robert Foster and we have legit depth. Unfortunately for Jakeem Grant, Jaylen Waddle may push Grant off the roster because Waddle is an excellent return man in his own right. Grant was electric, but his bobbles on both punt returns and kick returns were hard to watch.

On defense we brought in exactly what we needed. Some say Jaelan Phillips is the best pure pass rusher in this draft. The best part about Phillips is he already has an arsenal of pass rush moves, he’s not just an “Underwear Olympics” thriller. He is fast, quick and explosive as well and did perform well at his pro day, but his technical skills are what separate him from some of the others. The trade to bring Benardrick McKinney from the Texans solidified the middle of the defense. Both he and Jerome Baker can stop anything in front of them or chase to the sidelines just as easily. Andrew Van Ginkel and Jaelan Phillips will bring the rush from the outside, and our young talented D-line with one more year of experience under their belts, Christian Wilkins (LDE), Raekwon Davis (NT), and Emmanuel Ogbah (RE) should be even better this season.

Our secondary which was already formidable, got an early present in the form of S Jevon Holland. The Dolphins released S/DB Bobby McCain last week, so it’s clear the Dolphins felt they needed to upgrade. Holland will probably play some safety and slot corner, places where over the years McCain played both. Nik Needham filled in last season and held his own pretty well but the Dolphins are looking for better. With CB’s Xavien Howard and Byron Jones the Dolphins already have one of the premier CB tandems in the NFL. Holland will solidify the coverage both tight and deep. McCain often gave far too much of a cushion which led to easy shorter completions and also struggled covering deep as well. Holland should help there.

As far as the schedule is concerned, we open in NE to face a better Patriots team than last year’s version. Whether the QB is Cam Newton or Mac Jones, this team is getting a few players back that opted out due to C-19 last season. OT Marcus Cannon, LB Dont’a Hightower, S Patrick Chung and at least 5 others are back with the team. Then we face the Division Champs, the Buffalo Bills at home. The Bills went hard on defense in the draft bringing in 2 pass rush prospects, Gregory Rousseau and Carlos Basham Jr. Like the Dolphins, I expected them to draft a RB but the Bills passed altogether. Then we travel across the country to face the Vegas Raiders in a game they will undoubtedly be looking to avenge a tough loss last season, the Ryan Fitzpatrick game save with the unforgettable head twist pass to Mack Hollins. We follow that with a home game against a very tough opponent, the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts traded for QB Carson Wentz and drafted defense in their first 2 picks. They were a good team last season with Philip Rivers and have potential to be even better with a healthy Carson Wentz. We then stay in state to face the SB Champion Tampa Bay Bucs. The Bucs managed to keep everyone from last season plus added LB Joe Tryon in the draft. Tough game. Hopefully the lack of travel helps us here as we then have two road games in a row as we face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Road games but short travels in both. The Jaguars were awful last season but were rewarded with one of the best QB prospects in a decade or so, Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence will have to be extraordinary to help this team.

Our next home game is against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Defense has been Atlanta’s weakness but their offense got a whole lot better after drafting TE Kyle Pitts. Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Hayden Hurst and now add Kyle Pitts. Tough to defend this team. Then comes the rematch with the Bills at Orchard Park, so no breaks for the defense with the Falcons and Bills back to back. We then play the Texans who may be without their QB DeShaun Watson, depending on how the NFL rules on his conduct. Then we face the Baltimore Ravens, a team we always struggle against. For some sobering perspective, the last 3 times we faced the Ravens we have been outscored 137-16 in 3 truly embarrassing losses. This is followed by a very late season first game with the NY Jets. The Jets will be led by new QB Zack Wilson and likely an improved O-line. We then travel to Carolina to face a former Jet in new Panthers QB Sam Darnold. Jets and former Jets.

For the last 1/3 of the season, the Dolphins host the NY Giants. The Giants made a big splash in FA landing WR Kenny Golladay and then doubled down in the draft with WR Kadarius Toney. QB Daniel Jones should be smiling. Week 14 will be our much needed BYE Week. We then face the Jets again. That’s 3 games against NY teams in 4 weeks. Then we travel to Nawlins to face the new look Saints. For the first time in 15 years, it will not be Drew Brees behind center. Taysom Hill be running the offense now. A difficult game follows that as we travel to Tennessee to battle the Titans and former Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill. We finish the season off with a home game against the New England Patriots.

Hard to say right now how we end up this season. If QB Tua Tagovailoa improves as I believe he will, I think our team can play with anyone. Sure, I wanted an upgrade at RB and still do, but with better QB play and what I believe will be a better defense than even last season, we should be able to scratch out 11-13 wins. It’s not inconceivable. Our offense will be better and that should also take some pressure off our defense. 2021 is a going to be a playoff season for us. How far we go, I can’t tell you but I do believe we will be making the playoffs for the first time since 2016, when we got stopped by the Pittsburgh Steelers with Matt Moore at the helm for our Dolphins with Ryan Tannehill out with 2 torn knee ligaments. Time to get back on that Playoff horse!

GO DOLPHINS!!!

    fist!

  2. sb7mvp says:

I wish the Giants game had been an away game. I would have liked to come up for that.

  3. steveccnv says:

Since we play both Souths travel will be light this year, but we do play the JAGS in London

  4. pheloniusphish says:

Why does everyone assume Pitts is going to be otherworldly and impact the game? He is still a rookie TE who has never played a down in the NFL.

  5. D says:

Phish all rookie have to prove themselves but when it comes to a player that everyone prepped for and put their best players on, and with him still seemingly unstoppable. You have to say the likelihood is high that he will be in the NFL. If you can’t say that about him then your a person that pretty much can’t say that about anyone who is a rookie.

Again you are probably right pragmatically, to think about it that way, but then again it makes that comment worthless in regards to an evaluation because you would have to say that about all rookies.

    • steveccnv says:

I can say that about Waddle too😉

    • pheloniusphish says:

I would agree he has a high ceiling. But outside his workout, he didn’t exactly light up the SEC last year (see above reply to Steve). I think he is probably going to be a good TE, just don’t get the hype.

  6. David Collins says:

Pitts was the first non QB to be picked, the NFL loves athletic mismatches, no matter what position they play

    • pheloniusphish says:

We’ll see how much of a mismatch he is when he starts playing against NFL defenders and coaches.

      • David Collins says:

        yea thats how it works

but no secondaries in the NFL are his size , or strength, hes bigger than most linebackers, lol
he remains a size and athletic mismatch until the NFL can figure out a way to stop him

      • David Collins says:

we see successful rookies and not so successful ones every year.

You are correct he has a big challenge in front of him, but the same could be said for NFL defenses, lol

but most figure when the light comes on for this guy, he will be a impact player

  7. herdfan says:

“Time to get back on that Playoff horse!”

    Giddy-up!

  8. David Collins says:

I think Waddle is going to tear it up in the NFL, his speed will get him open over the top, and hes one heckufa punt and kick returner too,

11 of his 20 career touchdowns went for 50-plus yards.

in the national title game, he wasnt fully recovered from a broken ankle, but played anyway and had 3 catches

tough, fast, and smart route runner, He should make our offense more explosive, and put more points on the board

  9. son of a son of a shula says:

    Waddle has signed his deal

  10. steveccnv says:

Looks like about 7m net to sign our 5 draftees, so 6m over afterwards

  11. D says:

You are a Gators fan and don’t think he destroyed teams last year. We had to be watching different games then because I’m a big UG fan don’t miss a game and he was by far the most dangerous part of our offense. Grimes and Toney benefitted from the double and triple teams he was getting. Don’t get me wrong I think a lot of Trask, I think a lot of Toney and Grimes but you could have taken them out of a game and we still win, regardless the same can’t be said about Pitts.

    • steveccnv says:

      Traitor

    • pheloniusphish says:

LMAO – I honestly don’t watch a lot of college ball and am going on his stats. He had a great game against Alabama in the SEC championship, but they lost. A lot of his stats came against the easier opponents:
“Caught eight passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns against Ole Miss… Caught four passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns against South Carolina.. Recorded a touchdown reception along with 47 yards receiving on five catches against Texas A&M… Tallied three touchdown receptions and brought in five catches for 99 yards against Kentucky… Caught seven passes for 128 yards against Tennessee… Caught seven passes for 129 yards and a touchdown in the SEC Championship Game against Alabama.”

Don’t get me wrong – I think he will do well, but he is way over-hyped.

  12. David Collins says:

Waddle was clocked at 21.9 mph on a 90-yard touchdown catch against Georgia last season.

  13. David Collins says:

Waddle was the SEC killer, lol he feasted against the best conference in the nation

  14. stangerx says:

Great write Mike E…. hard not to be a little excited, except….

“In 5 seasons, [Fuller] played 53 games and missed 27.” And we lived through Parker’s leg/foot injuries. Plus Waddle went out for the rest of the regular season in his sixth game. Preston Williams did similar last year.

Our WRs look great on paper, maybe cause they are made out of it.

    • David Collins says:

disagree on Waddle, he is tough, and he did not go out for the rest of the season, he came back and
he played in the national title game, even though he had not fully recovered from a broken ankle

  15. David Collins says:

Waddle never got injured at WR, he got his ankle broken on a return

    • stangerx says:

OK. He still go injured though.

      • David Collins says:

        yes, they all do

      • David Collins says:

you also said he is made out of paper, and thats not what i have seen from Waddle

hes a tough guy IMO not to be lumped in with parker, Williams, part time wilson, etc

      • stangerx says:

I like Waddle from what have read and unlike the others he doesn’t have a long injury history, but then he hasn’t played as long either. We’ll see .

  16. David Collins says:

Stanger, WR always get hurt , its the nature of the game, they just have to be well conditioned, and able to come back

Jerry RIce, hands down the best WR ever, went out after only 2 games in 97, with a torn ACL

but he worked himself back in 98, and ended up as the top WR in the NFL of all time

not all WR are Jerry RIce, thats for sure, lol but most all of them have to deal with injuries

    • stangerx says:

Fuller hasn’t completed a full season. We all know about Parker’s injury history. Maybe some wideouts get injured more than others. Sure knew some guys on my rugby team got hurt more often. Lot of times was the guys who played balls out.

      • David Collins says:

no doubt some get injured more than others, but it may be worth giving Fuller a try, he didnt cost us any picks

Waddle cost us the number 6 pick, im guessing the FIns think he is a upgrade or they would have selected someone else at 6

I think Waddle will be Miamis best WR, and ill be excited to see him play, hes healthy and ready to go!

      • stangerx says:

Waddle better play well or we made a big’ol mistake in the draft. I would have gone with Smith, but then he has his own injury potential.

Love Will Fuller the player….. but that is when he is healthy and on the field. Mike E pointed out how often he has not been.

      • David Collins says:

Smith is also a great prospect, but i was always hoping for Waddle and like him better for the Dolphins

i think he is everything that grant wasnt

  17. sb7mvp says:

German sausages are the absolute wurst.

  18. Mike E. says:

David – You can defend these guys all you want. The fact is, our WR corps outside of Waddle has been injury prone. especially the main guys. Parker, Fuller and Williams. If that continues this year, we’re gonna struggle. Stanger isn’t nitpicking, he’s being realistic and so am I. If you think this season will be different and the backs of their football cards don’t count this season, I’m all for it happening, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

    • David Collins says:

im not defending anyone but Waddle, i mentioned he isnt to be lumped in with the rest of the guys, and that he came back for his team in their national title game

Waddle is tough, healthy, and ready to go, and im ready to see this team in action!

    • stangerx says:

Didn’t read the piece but saw a headline about Cowherd hating Tua. Why am I not surprised the vid of the segment popped up on the board? 🙂

      • David Collins says:

because Orob thinks if he posts Tua hate for the next 100 years, we might be convinced and join him as a jets fan

    • Rhino says:

I get the point your trying to make, but Cowherd’s ‘premise’ is critically flawed.

Comparing Tua to the height of the opposing QB as the premise for why Tua “isn’t the guy” is ridiculous. He just took the “QB vs QB MLB pitcher argument” and said the height of the pitcher (to continue the analogy) means the Fins have the wrong QB.

Baseball vs Football (SP vs QB) is a tired faulty argument. An ACE on an MLB team has far more impact on the result of that one game then a starting QB in the NFL.

Then he goes on to compare Hebert to opposing coaches. What about the complete rosters of the teams that are playing each other?

Cowherd has kicked off the “we are out of things to talk about so I’ll make up a controversy” part of the off season. 🙂

      • David Collins says:

Cowherd has coached how many championship teams? lol

and to make a height argument , he proves his ignorance, Murray is the shortest QB in the NFL< and hes feasting on NFL defenses

there arent any 7 foot tall QB for a reason, this is NOT basketball

    • stangerx says:

Now I actually watched Cowherd’s segment and am so glad I did. Never realized that Tua was shorter than other NFL QBs before. Did you guys know that?

  19. Rhino says:

Isn’t it funny that when we signed Fuller and knew he’d miss week one, there was a consensus here that it meant we’d be playing NE in week one. LOL and so we are.

  20. David Collins says:

if height was all that mattered at QB, then Manute Bol would be a super bowl champion

  21. sb7mvp says:

Cowherd’s job is say ridiculous stuff for ratings and generate discussion/arguments in order for views and internet clicks to increase ad revenue. He’s not something you reference to make a point.

    • stangerx says:

But he said bad things about Tua. That is important to at least one of us. Sorta felt like 7th grade though.

    • The Flying Pig says:

      100%

      But at some level
      If he’s not correct

He’s the one failing at his job

Honestly don’t know why he’s still employed

      • steveccnv says:

Your definition of failing isn’t the same as his company’s.

Look at all the ridiculous crap that comes out of AOC’s mouth…

      • David Collins says:

nothing ridiculous comes out of AOC mouth, and she was elected TWO more times than You were

  22. Mike E. says:

Piggy – any chance you can put up a poll for the Fest?

    • sb7mvp says:

Legend tells it that Rockfin is still voting for the fest from 3 years ago.

      • stangerx says:

That’s not legend….. pissed me off (cause needed to move on and get the tix). Turned out all the votes for the Jets game were just one other guy and a whole lot of Rock finger.

      • David Collins says:

what comes around goes around stanger, You really pissed me off one time about the fest, just gotta move on, You didnt care, why should i?

      • stangerx says:

How did I piss you off? Am really curious. Have put a lot of time in making the Fests good. We’ve only been to 3 together.

      • David Collins says:

its water under the bridge now, im not pissed off anymore, but havent been back to the fests

    • The Flying Pig says:

I can try but I have to try to remember how…lol

I’ll try later today or sometime this weekend when I get a chance

      • Mike E. says:

Thanks man. I’d take a whack at it but I’d probably delete the blog

      • steveccnv says:

Or you could do it the same way we drafted, or do the weekly Howie pick, with everyone copy and pasting after they do their pick and Tim posting his on another thread😉

      • stangerx says:

steve — the Fest takes a bit more care. Talking people flying in from all over the country. Plus have to get it done fast. First in gets the best seats. After we select a game will be figuring out who is in.

      • steveccnv says:

My post Stanger was in reference to a poll to pick the date for the fest. What does people flying in, seats, care have to do with method for picking a date?

      • Rockphin says:

False, But I am not going to rehash it.

      • David Collins says:

thats probably for the best Rock, i had a similar experience

      • stangerx says:

steve — was just saying an autopoll probably wouldn’t work.

  23. The Flying Pig says:

The weird forces are with us

what comes around goes around stanger, You really pissed me off one time about the fest, just gotta move on, You didnt care, why should i?
    ——————–

Now that you have mentioned it twice — what did I do to piss you off? Cause I honestly have no clue. Assume we are talking 6 or 7 years ago (last time I saw you), but you wanted to bring it up.

    • David Collins says:

you denied it then, even though i posted your own statements on it, nothing i could do then, or now

for context, i was one of the original organizers and all, and was only trying to help everyone, but for months You kept telling me its too early, no need for it or me, but then did it on your own, that felt like shit
i let You know then, but You didnt seem to care, so i figured id let You do whatever You want, its not a power struggle, its a fest, i didnt want to make trouble at the games, its all about fun and partying

i was just trying to get names and stuff organized, like i did previously
You know how it feels when someone does something behind Your back? thats how i felt, so the fest is all yours, i have not been in your way since, and have no desire to help others if im gonna be left holding the bag so to speak

      • David Collins says:

i told You then, and will tell You now, i dont care if You want to do it, thats fine

i just didnt like how it went down, it felt like trust was broken

      • stangerx says:

I was one of the original organizers as well. You did the food on the first one and I thank you for that (2nd Gigi had catered). I set up the group tickets for the 3rd fest (1st time done). Everything was done on the board (so behind your back?). I asked you multiple times to buy tickets and you and Walker refused.

You insisted on where the tailgate parking and that was where it was, even though everyone else had to walk all the way around the stadium.

You showed up with some tailgate food and so did I.

If that is a stab in the back, well then your version. You seem to think you were the king of the Fest before….. Walker and Gigi were. I’m not doubting them on that.

      • David Collins says:

that is not what im talking about, this is why i said its best to let it go

you told me on the blog for months it was too early every time i tried to do anything, and the whole time was planning things behind my back

you could have said, i want to do it, and thats fine, but you kept telling me that its too early, but it wasnt too early for YOU, then you denied it even though i posted several of Your too early comments, SMH
it had nothing to do with food, it was the attacking me with the too early , and you were secretly doing it at the same time

it never got settled, so i let it go for the sake of the fest and have not returned

but its a long time ago, not pissed off anymore

      • stangerx says:

Was too early about telling people to order tickets while I was trying to get the group section? But in any event I am sorry. One thing am sure of is you were invited as invited can be into whatever was going on.

    • David Collins says:

that wasnt it either Stanger, i told you what it was, but neither of us can change the past or go back,
But, today i accept Your apology, and the matter is finally settled and will be forgotten

  25. Mike E. says:

If I enlist my son, we could probably getterdone. Problem is trying to get 5 minutes from him to help his old man. 😒

  26. The Flying Pig says:

I posted a poll. I have to figure out how to edit it now….lol

10/24 Dolphins are our opponent….we will be fighting ourselves. Its like Hamlet.

    • Mike E. says:

I guess you figured it out. I voted. No secret vote here, I voted for the Falcons game 10/24 because logistically that game is best for us.

      • David Collins says:

You wanna see Pitts up close, admit it, lol JK

actually, its not a bad idea, but i want to see our defense throttle the guy

      • Mike E. says:

I won’t mind seeing Pitts as a by product, and I hope we shut that Atlanta offense down completely. I actually never thought we’d have a shot at Pitts or take him, I figured Chase, but I may have been wrong on that, we’ll never know because Chase was gone.

      • David Collins says:

        agreed

    • Rockphin says:

I hope we don’t beat ourselves that day! LOL

  27. Marinofan13 says:

  28. Tim Knight says:

Piggy, from the other blog article. 11 Personnel is 1 TE, 12P is 2 TE and 22P is 2 TE and 2 RB. One of those RBs could be another TE as an H-back or fullback. It’s a strong run formation.

  29. Marinofan13 says:

    Power-Ranking, post-Draft, NFL.com

    #14 Miami Dolphins

Good, good! They’ll never see us coming…

  30. sb7mvp says:

I thought Herd was the only woman on this blog. Holding 8 year old grudges? Sheesh.

  31. Marinofan13 says:

    BBM,

This dropped about 4 hours ago, my dude…

  32. Tim Knight says:

Pretty cool that #17 was available for Waddle to keep his college #.

  33. David Collins says:

cant even talk to stanger without a bunch of clueless idiots making up falsehoods and attacking, SMH says alot about their character
it doesnt piss me off, just reveals who they are

  34. David Collins says:

Bookman, You have held a grudge against Me for 6 years, You have no room to speak on anyone else

yea, make up lies on Me, ill call your fat ass out on the truth

    • bookman11 says:

I’m not even sure what you are talking about.

      • David Collins says:

im sure, btw , sorry i said fat ass, just tired of hypocrisy and was too harsh

but You do know what im talking about, im not playing this game
you have been nothing but hateful to Me, holding a grudge for 6 years, when i have never done anything to You, and dont plan too ever
You arent my enemy, but You treat Me like I am yours? i dont understand You

  35. Mike E. says:

Kinda hard to have a “private” convo on a blog. Take it to email if you can’t hack people putting in their 2 cents, which invariably happens all the time

    • David Collins says:

fair enough, but the good thing is Stanger and Me are now good, its good for Him , and for Me
he got My respect , Hes a good Man IMO

  36. Mike E. says:

Tim, not cool that Jaelan Phillips keeps his though. I hate the new number rules

  37. CavalierKong says:

Yeah wolf is where I draw the line in an unarmed fight. Above that, good luck. I’d also move an eagle above the wolf.

I’m not sure what is funnier, the fact that 7% of men and 6% of women like their chances against a grizzly, or that only 74% of men and 64% of women think they can take on a f^cking housecat.

And the elephant…what the hell are you doing to that thing if you’re unarmed? Stomp on its foot? Kick it in the nads? Really harsh language?🤣🤣🤣

    • Marinofan13 says:

EXACTLY, Brother!!! That is just CRAZY to me!!!

    • Mike E. says:

I think about shit like this often. Like if a bird swoops down on your face the best we can do is swat at it, while they’re tearing our eyes out. I don’t like either of our chances. I’d probably win but end up blind and maimed. Even when insects attack, all we can do is swat or stomp which seems mostly ineffective

      • Marinofan13 says:

And then there are Dobson flies… that’s a whole different ballgame, right there!

      • CavalierKong says:

Yeah, a regular bird you could take out with maybe some scratches and/or losing an eye, but I think an eagle would kill you if it was trying to. It would be like being being sliced up by a six 2″ blades. You might take it down too if you could get your hands on it and start breaking shit while having your face and neck sliced up, but I don’t like the chances of surviving that (if eagles attacked humans).

With the cobra, you could probably kill it pretty easily, but you’d almost certainly get bit and die without treatment.

The only animal I wasn’t sure where to place in my own list was the kangaroo.

      • Marinofan13 says:

You do NOT want to mess with a kangaroo, CavKong. If they kick you, it’s over. Read somewhere that the kangaroo’s kick is more explosive than whatever it was. Let’s just say more explosive than Mike Tyson in his prime hitting one with an uppercut. It’s RIDICULOUSLY powerful.

Secondly, I can tell you for a fact that when most of us have had it with your incessant bullshit, Stanger has been the one to defend you over and over. I don’t normally interact with you, I’d be happy to keep it that way, but you interjected yourself into a post that I was specifically mentioned in.

Reading back, it sure does seem like you brought that on yourself. WTF do you expect? Bring something up from years ago, apparently you are irritated over it and blame Stanger for that, then say it really didn’t bother you. Make up your mind if you’re upset or not. We can all read and I think we have excellent comprehension. If it didn’t bother you, you’d not be bringing it up years later.

Resorting to name calling in an argument indicates a lack of anything valid to say. Just sayin…

Not knowing a lot about its mobility and core strength, I wasn’t sure if maybe I’d be able to maneuver around it, avoiding the kicks and punches, and maybe strangle it.

    • Marinofan13 says:

I see you and I are were thinking the same thing regarding the kangaroo. I actually went back and corrected myself. Nah, you do NOT want to funk around with a kangaroo, Brother! And yes, they can box. They used to be trained in some cases, and we see that in the old cartoons.

no way i stomp one and give it a chance to climb my leg and hit an area I’m quite protective of. You seem to think they would just sit there and let you stomp lol. Same for a squirrel, id rather grapple with that bitch than let it near my legs and have it have a chance and incising my nuts.

    • CavalierKong says:

IDK, maybe you and I just have different physical capabilities. But Kong vs housecat goes like this:

Cat attacks, Kong wallops cat with kick. Cat is dazed. Kong stomps cat. Cat is dead. IF cat somehow climbs leg while Kong is kicking it, Kong ignores scratches and breaks cats neck.

    • CavalierKong says:

I did the same thing with a crow once. It was defending it’s light post, lol.

Any of the big eagles. I think even a golden eagle which is about 10 lbs could kill a human straight up if it was inclined to. 6-8 ft wingspan and 2.5″ razor sharp claws. One cut on the neck and you’re done.

      • David Collins says:

ive been buzzed by red tail hawks, but never directly engaged

  68. David Collins says:

  69. David Collins says:

last week i saw a 7 foot eastern diamondback rattlesnake, they are highly endangered now, and this one was flattened by a car and getting eaten by buzzards

the snakes are deadly, but not as deadly as cars on the highway, they dont stand a chance

  70. Marinofan13 says:

I suppose what I’m trying to say at the end of the day is this: I LOVE life, especially animal life. Let’s not hunt anything down to extinction, out of mere fear.

I feel I can communicate better than most (like Steve Irwin) to our animal brothers and sisters. I don’t fear like many do. Appreciate the life around you, respect the life around you, and don’t try to funk with life around you.

  71. David Collins says:

according to Nick Hicks, his South Florida-based trainer.

Appearing on the Miami on the Rockets podcast, Hicks said: “Tua is an amazing person. I’ve never met anybody like him. He’s an insanely hard worker. He’s all gas, no brakes.

“I show up at his house super early; we put in work. Little break, then he leaves me at the field and he works some more. Then he goes home and watches film. He’s on a mission. He’s different.”

Asked specifically what he and Tagovailoa are doing, Hicks said: “I’m not allowed to talk too much about Tua, because we had a specific ideology of what this offseason is going to be. There was so much doubt… We’re trying to keep things under wraps.”

But Hicks noted strength and confidence are areas among the keys for his success.

“A healthy Tua is a confident Tua and a confident Tua is a Super Bowl contender guaranteed,” Hicks said. “And that’s our goal to make him healthy. And we’re doing a damn good job right now.”

  73. Mike E. says:

Watching “The Son of Sam, A Descent Into Darkness” on Netflix. Wow, it’s riveting, and it brings back so many memories as I was 14 living in Brooklyn at that time. This alternate theory by Maury Terry is fascinating!

    • CavalierKong says:

I really enjoyed that show. You guys in NY probably already knew a lot of the details, especially if you lived it, but some of that stuff was new to me.

The kid killed in Brooklyn who was only there at his parents request (to get him away from Queens where the previous killings went down)…utterly heartbreaking. The guilt those poor parents had to live with the rest of their lives, I can’t imagine.

      • Tim Knight says:

You never know where a psycho will loom.

      • Mike E. says:

Yes Kong, that was painful to see. The father recounting that his son told him he promised he would stay away from Queens because he told his son it would be safer. I don’t remember any of this stuff that he didn’t act alone. I think it wasn’t just the police and newspapers that were happy to have it all just end, the people who lived there wanted that so badly too.

    • Ken says:

I am watching that too. Interesting theory but ultimately I don’t think I am buying it

      • Mike E. says:

The only reason I have to disbelieve it is there were no further similar killings. That park was crazy though, with all those underground tunnels and the “Devil’s Den”. Also the fact that it seemed impossible by that eyewitness account of when she saw Berkowitz take the ticket off his car and when the murder occurred. That’s tough to figure unless she had the timing wrong.

      • Ken says:

Witnesses often are mistaken and or conflict each and or memories are not always exact so the part about the timing on the ticket is a red herring to me. But I think you hit on the big issue for me. It was one gun and we know that through forensics. Berkowitz had the gun and the killing stopped after he was arrested. Was Berkowitz part of a cult? Probably. Was the cult involved in the killings? Doubtful. Did the cult know Berkowitz was SOS? Maybe. That is my take on things

    • bailbondmike says:

“Have you read the gospel according to Saint Fauci” lol

    • David Collins says:

cant watch this, anyone with fear worshipping on their t shirt seems like a waste of time

if hes afraid, thats his problem, lol

im not afraid of this guy unless i find him in my underwear drawer, lol that would be creepy

  74. Mike E. says:

Ken – The other guys (The Carr brothers) might have lost their edge when Berkowitz was captured. There’s that angle too. Once that happened they got spooked and lost their resolve. I think the reference to John Wheaties is too much to overlook, in addition to Son of Sam (Carr) who was a crazy fucker who abused his sons. That’s also very difficult to overlook.

  75. steveccnv says:

What should you do when you have a QB, that doesn’t have the strongest arm? Get him a WR, that can play to his strengths. SF got Montana – Rice.

Waddle is fast, but the reason we chose him over Smith is, because of his YAC.

Tua will have 4+ passes a game where he hits Waddle on a bubble screen, shovel pass or slant. Easy completions, that can payoff big.

Bring the S up for pass support and Tua throws deep to Fuller or jump balls to Parker and Williams.

Brady’s biggest strength may be his accuracy, Tua can be just as accurate, if put in the right situations.

Flores has found the answer to well what about Tua’s arm strength

    • David Collins says:

thats a good point, but from all indications , Tua is much stronger this season and we will see how that works out as well

but yea, Waddle is the real deal IMO

  76. David Collins says:

fuller will miss game one, but when hes back,

with Fuller and Waddle on the field, defenses wont be able to stack the box for the run, and if they do, then go over the top to fuller and waddle for the score, and make them back off the next time

  77. David Collins says:

What makes the Dolphins’ additions of Waddle and Fuller so dangerous are the possibilities they provide to open up opportunities for the rest of the offense as well as themselves.

“If you’ve got guys who can run on the perimeter, if you load the box, there’s more opportunity for one-on-one matchups and opportunities downfield. Defenses have to make that decision when you have those types of players on the field,” Flores said. “If you don’t load the box and you play for those big plays, then there’s less people in the box and less people to block, and I think it really becomes kind of a numbers/math game.”

“When you have guys on the perimeter and guys who demand some attention — that kind of attention — then there could be more space. … It’s a chess game and obviously the run game and how you attack the run game, that’s part of it.”

rumours are Tim Tebow, who hasnt played in the NFL in 9 years , is going to sign for the jaguars to be a TE

lol cant make this stuff up, jags should have selected Pitts if they wanted a TE

      • David Collins says:

not too old, i read an article about it this morning talking about Urban Meyer doing Tebow a big favor
and that Tebow isnt really an NFL quality TE, thats agreed, he will not make a great rookie TE at 33 years old

    • bailbondmike says:

and, um, they needed a QB in Lawrence more than a TE. Can’t blame a team for giving him a look. All teams do this.

      • David Collins says:

all teams have a look at old Q Bs from years ago and try em out later at TE? all teams? how is that possible?

i had forgotten about it, but there was one game where the fins were playing the jets, and tebow played TE for a snap

he rolled out to the left, forgot to look back for the ball, and a Miami defender knocked it away

he looked stupid at TE< lol

i cant imagine he is doing anything but milking the jags out of some money, and urban meyer helped him out with it

  83. David Collins says:

truth be told, i am kind of hoping that Tebow sees the field, when the Dolphins beat the crap out of the toothless jaguars

he will help our defense come up with some easy turnovers, lol

Jaylen Waddle looks explosive at Dolphins’ minicamp and is excited to be back with Tua Tagovailoa

Jaylen Waddle looks explosive at Dolphins’ minicamp and is excited to be back with Tua Tagovailoa

  85. David Collins says:

the Falcons/Fins game is being touted by USAToday, as one of the best NFL matchups this year

The NFL is a matchup-based league. Offensive coordinators spend all week designing up ways to get favorable matchups on Sunday, and defensive coordinators spend their weeks trying to come up with ways to erase those matchups when the games kick off.

That fact is part of the reason that the Atlanta Falcons made Kyle Pitts, the “tight end in name only,” the fourth-overall selection in the 2021 NFL draft. Pitts has the ability to be that matchup nightmare in the pro game. When you see him on tape running away from safeties and linebackers, or even cornerbacks, you can just imagine how that skill-set will be used in the NFL.

Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores knows a thing or two about matchups. If you look at the secondary he is building down in Miami, you’ll see how Flores is trying to assemble coverage players that put him in a position to erase those kinds of mismatches. Players like Zavien Howard, Byron Jones, Eric Rowe, Nik Needham, Noah Igbinoghene, and even new faces such as Jason McCourty and Jevon Holland. Flores is putting together a secondary with a number of different options, and players with varying skill-sets, to try and negate those types of mismatches offensive coordinators try to create.

  88. stangerx says:

“When you’re standing up, it’s more advantageous being able to see everything, like trying to take a snapshot of what’s going on, Then, when you’re in the three-point, obviously you’re having more leverage because you’re coming low to high. But yeah, having played both, I’m definitely comfortable doing whatever I need to do. But that’s just kind of the basis of Football 101.”

    • Marinofan13 says:

So long as Jaelan’s injury history doesn’t come back to bite him/us in the tail, he just may have been the steal of the 2021 Draft: his game is truly elite.

Over the years, I’ve learned that injury history means a LOT when evaluating players. As such, Jaelan wasn’t even on my board. I’m rooting for him BIG TIME, and happy he remains in the 305. There’s no doubt he’s a BEAST!

      • stangerx says:
