The 2021 schedule is out, and I think our much improved team should have an exciting season. I think we covered 2 serious spots that needed an upgrade. WR was the position I felt we just had to improve and drafting Jaylen Waddle accomplished that. The familiarity that Waddle and Tua have is just one small part of the equation, We so desperately needed a talent upgrade, and I think the type of receiver Waddle is is the perfect complement to our current WR corps. DeVante Parker has the talent, and we’ve seen him take over games. We’ve also seen him fight through nagging injuries and not be able to give the team his usual production. In free agency we signed former Texans WR Will Fuller. Well, Fuller has yet to play a full 16 game schedule, and hey, now we play 17! In 5 seasons, he played 53 games and missed 27. Hopefully Waddle will be the steady performer week in and week out. His home run ability from anywhere on the field will help Tua, because he can take a short pass a long way and can also take the top off the defense with his deep speed. Add in Preston Williams, Lynn Bowden Jr., Allen Hurns, Albert Wilson, Mack Hollins, Jakeem Grant, Kirk Merritt and Robert Foster and we have legit depth. Unfortunately for Jakeem Grant, Jaylen Waddle may push Grant off the roster because Waddle is an excellent return man in his own right. Grant was electric, but his bobbles on both punt returns and kick returns were hard to watch.
On defense we brought in exactly what we needed. Some say Jaelan Phillips is the best pure pass rusher in this draft. The best part about Phillips is he already has an arsenal of pass rush moves, he’s not just an “Underwear Olympics” thriller. He is fast, quick and explosive as well and did perform well at his pro day, but his technical skills are what separate him from some of the others. The trade to bring Benardrick McKinney from the Texans solidified the middle of the defense. Both he and Jerome Baker can stop anything in front of them or chase to the sidelines just as easily. Andrew Van Ginkel and Jaelan Phillips will bring the rush from the outside, and our young talented D-line with one more year of experience under their belts, Christian Wilkins (LDE), Raekwon Davis (NT), and Emmanuel Ogbah (RE) should be even better this season.
Our secondary which was already formidable, got an early present in the form of S Jevon Holland. The Dolphins released S/DB Bobby McCain last week, so it’s clear the Dolphins felt they needed to upgrade. Holland will probably play some safety and slot corner, places where over the years McCain played both. Nik Needham filled in last season and held his own pretty well but the Dolphins are looking for better. With CB’s Xavien Howard and Byron Jones the Dolphins already have one of the premier CB tandems in the NFL. Holland will solidify the coverage both tight and deep. McCain often gave far too much of a cushion which led to easy shorter completions and also struggled covering deep as well. Holland should help there.
As far as the schedule is concerned, we open in NE to face a better Patriots team than last year’s version. Whether the QB is Cam Newton or Mac Jones, this team is getting a few players back that opted out due to C-19 last season. OT Marcus Cannon, LB Dont’a Hightower, S Patrick Chung and at least 5 others are back with the team. Then we face the Division Champs, the Buffalo Bills at home. The Bills went hard on defense in the draft bringing in 2 pass rush prospects, Gregory Rousseau and Carlos Basham Jr. Like the Dolphins, I expected them to draft a RB but the Bills passed altogether. Then we travel across the country to face the Vegas Raiders in a game they will undoubtedly be looking to avenge a tough loss last season, the Ryan Fitzpatrick game save with the unforgettable head twist pass to Mack Hollins. We follow that with a home game against a very tough opponent, the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts traded for QB Carson Wentz and drafted defense in their first 2 picks. They were a good team last season with Philip Rivers and have potential to be even better with a healthy Carson Wentz. We then stay in state to face the SB Champion Tampa Bay Bucs. The Bucs managed to keep everyone from last season plus added LB Joe Tryon in the draft. Tough game. Hopefully the lack of travel helps us here as we then have two road games in a row as we face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Road games but short travels in both. The Jaguars were awful last season but were rewarded with one of the best QB prospects in a decade or so, Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence will have to be extraordinary to help this team.
Our next home game is against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Defense has been Atlanta’s weakness but their offense got a whole lot better after drafting TE Kyle Pitts. Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Hayden Hurst and now add Kyle Pitts. Tough to defend this team. Then comes the rematch with the Bills at Orchard Park, so no breaks for the defense with the Falcons and Bills back to back. We then play the Texans who may be without their QB DeShaun Watson, depending on how the NFL rules on his conduct. Then we face the Baltimore Ravens, a team we always struggle against. For some sobering perspective, the last 3 times we faced the Ravens we have been outscored 137-16 in 3 truly embarrassing losses. This is followed by a very late season first game with the NY Jets. The Jets will be led by new QB Zack Wilson and likely an improved O-line. We then travel to Carolina to face a former Jet in new Panthers QB Sam Darnold. Jets and former Jets.
For the last 1/3 of the season, the Dolphins host the NY Giants. The Giants made a big splash in FA landing WR Kenny Golladay and then doubled down in the draft with WR Kadarius Toney. QB Daniel Jones should be smiling. Week 14 will be our much needed BYE Week. We then face the Jets again. That’s 3 games against NY teams in 4 weeks. Then we travel to Nawlins to face the new look Saints. For the first time in 15 years, it will not be Drew Brees behind center. Taysom Hill be running the offense now. A difficult game follows that as we travel to Tennessee to battle the Titans and former Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill. We finish the season off with a home game against the New England Patriots.
Hard to say right now how we end up this season. If QB Tua Tagovailoa improves as I believe he will, I think our team can play with anyone. Sure, I wanted an upgrade at RB and still do, but with better QB play and what I believe will be a better defense than even last season, we should be able to scratch out 11-13 wins. It’s not inconceivable. Our offense will be better and that should also take some pressure off our defense. 2021 is a going to be a playoff season for us. How far we go, I can’t tell you but I do believe we will be making the playoffs for the first time since 2016, when we got stopped by the Pittsburgh Steelers with Matt Moore at the helm for our Dolphins with Ryan Tannehill out with 2 torn knee ligaments. Time to get back on that Playoff horse!
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Mike, Mostert doesnt even get warmed up until the playoffs
he broke some NFL records for a rb in a playoff game, big time players step up when the super bowl is on the line
Harris can only dream of this someday,,, and good luck to him
but In the NFC Championship, Raheem Mostert became the first player with 200+ rushing yards and four rushing TDs in a playoff game, and easily gave San Francisco the win ..
Just one of those games where the OL of SF dominated the game and Jimmy didn’t have to throw.
Most decent backs would thrive in that situation, see our games against the cheats last year
our backs can only dream of breaking NFL records in championship games, maybe someday
The article was just a projection let’s not assume anything about Najee not doing it, because he hasn’t yet.
Chances he’s at the least on the verge of Pro Bowl in his career are probably closer to 100% than 50%.
Sure he ran for an elite O, but to be the starter on that team you have to be pretty damn good, as they frequently turn out great RBs and are loaded at the position yearly
agreed, and its tough to say a rookie is better than a NFL record breaker in a championship game as well
the rookie has not broken any records and hasnt played in any championship games yet, most rookies never accomplish it
the Dolphins have hundreds of RB drafted since 1966, and only one did it in championship games, so its ridiculous to think Harris could do it behind pittsburghs OL IMO
but the Lone Dolphin that did it? his name was Larry Csonka #39
actually Miami has two if You count the time That Mostert was a Dolphin in 2015
but Miami cut Mostert
Chances are not many Dolphins fans had San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert on their minds when they tuned into the NFC Championship Game.
Mostert, on the other hand, had the Dolphins on his mind.
Mostert carries a list of all the teams that cut him and, yes, Miami qualifies, thanks to a 28-day stint involving one game, two kickoffs and 57 return yards in 2015.
Sunday, Mostert carried more than a chip on his shoulder, rushing 29 times for 220 yards and four touchdowns to shred Green Bay’s defense in a performance that, on its own merit, would have come within 24 yards of qualifying him as the Dolphins’ rushing leader for the entire 2019 season.
A lot of teams cut Mostert, but he’s a fine back. He’s also under contract to the Niners and — if it came to it — he’s 29. Have you been a fan of his for a while?
he played High school ball near where i used to live, and it was a shocker he didnt take the traditional way to the top
from UDFA to the Super bowl, lol even though teams cut him, he had something to prove and did
i DO feel he has accomplished alot in the NFL, alot more than every rookie that guy had on his list will ever accomplish.
,but that list is his opinion, and i disagree with it
That is exactly the argument why you don’t spend high picks on RBs.
good point Ken
but how does a guy like Mostert not get drafted, and teams dont see his potential, until the 49ers got him?
its a strange way to the top, it always seemed like nobody was patient with him, what could he do on 2 kickoff returns in Miami? he got 47 yards and was cut
seems like he should have gotten some carries also, kick the tires on a guy that ran a 4.4 and see what happens
David — so you got the hometown hero thing going with him. Have had that with a few players in the past.
True Ken, but for an RB the scheme, OL, QB..it’s a team effort like in SF and Dallas. Zeke wasn’t great once the line deteriorated, Barkley can’t stay healthy, and hasn’t exactly tore it up after his rookie season.
Good catch Stanger you figured out why he has a woody for Mostert😉
Ken – – like what at least used to be the Broncos way of doing it. Draft a lot of them and draft them low. Whoever has it will tell you they do….. sorta like Gaskins.
If all they have to do is tell you they have it why not just ask them before you draft them😝
Stanger you may be on to something, does it work for other positions
steve — I meant tell you by their play. Some positions the translation from college to the NFL is harder. Would also use a 2nd-4th on a QB every so often, even if doesn’t seem like you need it.
Joe Philbin was the coach that cut Mostert, SMH
it figures
Think everytime Mostert was making a play Regis was picking up a gum wrapper😉
His OCD cost us a good back
lol agreed
There’s an SBNation article talking about us having the O and D rookies of the year and what it might take to get Waddle and Phillips the award.
What he fails to mention is, if this were to occur we’d probably have a pretty good record and team
https://www.thephinsider.com/2021/5/18/22438704/miami-dolphins-could-have-both-rookies-of-the-year-in-jaylen-waddle-and-jaelan-phillips-2021-nfl
Waddle is still 11th in the odds, Phillips better cause the D players came later (and no QBs involved). But if you pick twice in the top 18…. heck yeah your guys should be in the convo.
Being on Jax and Jets respectively, the top 2 QBs likely don’t win the award, what I see against Waddle is a crowded WR room and our tendency to spread the ball
If Waddle wins it our games sure will be fun to watch, even if Parker and Fuller will be real unhappy.
Favored in 16 of 17 games are the Chiefs. Exception is Week 3 with a pick ’em line for a Sunday night game at Baltimore.
That’s what it is like to come into the season as a Super Bowl contender. How many games will the Phins be favored in? Point is we ain’t quite there yet.
Steve, im not one of Mosterts biggest fans, lol but i do watch playoff games and this is something that rookies dont remember, they can only watch and hope to make a team, never mind rewrite the record books and help their teams win championships
its hard to imagine to me, that that guy would put unproven rookies on the list, and leave off record breaking championship guys, but hes not here to ask why he did it
Mostert is 29 and has run for a bit over 1,500 regular season yards in his career. Made his living as a complementary back. Never for more than 700 yards. Picked him up in fantasy a couple times when the Niners lead back got injured.
You seeing a work horse set-up for him this year? Niners did draft a couple RBs. Wanna bet about whether Harris gets more yards?
im not a niners fan, and dont really keep up with what they are doing, unless they come on TV during championship games and super bowls
im not advocating the fins bring him in, i just noted they DID bring him in, but cut him
if harris has yards, good for him, im sure he will get some yards, but he will NOT be breaking any records in championship games
the first round pick Harris, will not be able to break the UDFA Mostert records in championship games, is my prediction
So basically your point is that Mostert had a great playoff game or two a few years ago plus that he had a cup of coffee with the Phins? I could see him on the team if the price was right (he’s not getting paid that much), but then he’s on another one.
Thought you were going for something else, but that’s my bad.
im ready to move on to the next subject please, lol its been hours on the same subject, lol
i made My point, even if though coffee wasnt part of it, im sure You got it
If you want to end your own subject then fine by me. Surprised you don’t know what “cup of coffee” means in pro sports terms, but maybe Mostert was with the Phins for longer than I thought.
Who would you rather have in 2021 as your lead back Harris or Mostert?
have a cup of coffee, i have some things to do besides talk about niners and steelers RB anymore today
RIP Charles Grodin

He brought a fun twist to every role.
thats the dad in the movie Beethoven, he was a funny guy
Ah man, that sucks. RIP Charles
Bummer he was one of my favorites
The article was an opinion based on which RBs are the best right now.
To say Mostert broke a record 2 years ago is irrelevant to the article.
You can disagree with what he saying, but its just his opinion.
When was the last time a U75 came up with some good material everyone agreed with?
its not irrelevant, because there is no guarantee that rookies will attain the same level of success in the NFL as someone that has already accomplished much
remember Kijana Carter? he was a number one overall pick by the bengals, and never played a single down in his rookie season, he got injured in the first preseason game
he was never really that good when he came back his second season either,
there are no guarantees for rookie rb, no matter how high they are picked
Do you have comprehension issues, or do you just not understand the meaning of the words written here?
neither, i dont want to spend the next 3 weeks on this subject, im trying to get some work done for my road trip tommorow, lol
when Harris gets to a championship game and breaks Mosterts records, we will find time to talk about that
He was most often not the star, but you grew up with Charles Grodin.
Rosemary’s Baby

He was great in Midnight Run.
Yeah he was, but then was great no matter what. Putting that list together made realize haven’t seen Heaven Can Wait in like 15 or 20 years. He’s funny as heck in that….. about time to find.
Seems like Old Times is a really funny movie and he was great in the movie
He was a real jerk in one of those movies…
The NBA playoffs have the 7th seed playing the 8th seed and the 9th seed playing the 10th, for a play-in round.
I thought what genius thought this up, but its not a 1 game round, like I heard mentioned.
Winner of 7v8 gets the 7th seed, the loser plays the winner of 9v10 for the 8th seed.
Not sure what Lebron is crying about, it could be just a 1 game series like baseball
SMH bash Lebron time, You really dont like guys that do well in championship games, lol JK
What is Lebron upset about? Hadn’t heard about this.
“I don’t look at our seeding. It doesn’t matter. Obviously, we know we wanted to play a lot better this season, but the injuries took a toll on our team,” James said, alluding to his ankle woes and Anthony Davis’ nine-week absence because of a calf strain and Achilles tendinosis in his right leg. “But I look forward to the challenge. It’s another challenge for me in the postseason. I’m looking forward to it.”
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31459442/lebron-james-touts-stephen-curry-mvp-lakers-ready-play-showdown-vs-golden-state-warriors
he doesnt really sound upset to Me, ive heard much worse, lol
If that is what steve is talking about then don’t get it either. Doesn’t match up with his comment though. Maybe he’ll explain.
Don’t like players, that know nothing about politics, then run their mouth ignorantly.
He’s been running his mouth about all sorts of shit, a black cop in LA called him out on it.
There was a tweet he put out prematurely, then deleted, then tried to justify it.
On the playoffs he used a few hate words towards those responsible for this play-in format, but not a word earlier, when the Lakers were playing good ball
Thanks steve and makes sense now. Lebron wasn’t happy about having a play-in game and made that clear. Seems solution to that is have a better record. 🙂
some people dont like it when black athletes with tons of money speak out against injustice
Lebron is very intelligent, he has a net worth of $500 million plus, not bad for a broke kid from Ohio
David, didn’t LeBron accuse NBA owners to slave owners? His net worth of $500+ million is due to NBA owners paying him that kind of money to put a ball through a hoop. I don’t think slaves were compensated quite like that. Not sure those types of comments scream intelligence, more like ignorance. This horrible racist country has been very bad to him. SMH
Who cares? Not even sure how this turned from the basketball playoff format to Lebron’s political views. He can think whatever he wants.
Yes he can. I was replying to David’s comments.
systemic racism is still rampant, ask the George Floyd family if racism exists
he is very intelligent, published 2 books , and started I promise, helping kids get college scholarships,
he is a kind hearted man that has spent millions helping others that needed it
he has a documentary coming out as well, I promise is the name of it
he has so many projects going on, and has proven himself, but racism means that many still want to call the black man dumb, just like the slave days
we all remember when many said Black men were too dumb to play QB< but looks like the ones making the comments were dumb in the end
Okay way to stay on point.
Systemic racism is not rampant, it’s isolated. You’re a white guy right? Are you racist? I’m not either. So who is? Name names. Do you see how dangerous just broad stroking people as racist is?
He seems a bit egotistical to me, and has nothing to do with the color of his skin. If we couldn’t root for black guys might as well close up this board right now.
If Lebron is worth $500 million he’s half way to being a billionaire and is therefore an evil crook in David’s world. David has said so many times – all billionaires are crooks. So Lebron must be at least half a crook. Of course David also thinks cows and AOC are smart, so there is that.
Does LeBron have a problem cashing those checks from endorsements where some of the products are made with slave labor in other countries? Nope because he’s now part of the elite. Funny how that works. As fucked up as it is, I find humor in hypocrisy.
i dont think they are smart, I KNOW they are
Lebron does have half a billion dollars, but he isnt the billionaire that steals money, he earned his money, ddint steal it, , and gives back to the community
Lebron is a person, not a ceo of GE, big difference
So if Lebron ends up a billionaire will that mean all billionaires aren’t bad? Cause yes you have said that. How you feel about Oprah?
I never said he stole it. Who are you referring to that stole it?
was talking to Phel
i dont actually think Lebron will make 1 billion, his career is ending soon
but he did earn his money, larry culp did NOT imo
David — wasn’t a will Lebron be worth a billion Q. Was what if he is.
stanger, the billionaires i referred to before, were wall street billionaires, not oprah winfrey, she is not a wall street billionaire that manipulates the markets and steals investors money
if Lebron says something i disagree with , i wouldnt default, and call him stupid, i say we disagree
Michael Jordan is worth $1.6 Billion. Are we supposed to hate him for that?
its ok to hate the man if You want, lol i wont stop You
but hes not a wall street billionaire that manipulates and steals in the markets, like i referred to before
You wrote an absolute about all billionaires numerous times. Maybe be a little more careful in your wording going forward. Hurt me cause have met a few billionaires I liked.
The problem I’ve always had with LeBron and other NBA stars is that they have no patience to win with the team they’re with. They must go to a team that has everything in place so they can win now. That’s why the NBA is not a competitive league. It’s as close to being fixed as it can get.
Lebron does need to stand up more for human rights in China, but he did for the Hong Kong protestors and caught hell for that
and he did stand up against police brutality and murder against citizens, and caught hell for that too
so im thinking he will get hate if he doesnt stand up for Nike, who says they are doing away with it, but, yea’
but he will also get hate if he DOES stand up for them and their plight. maybe thats why he spends his time playing basketball, and publishing books and documentaries
I don’t hate LeBron, I think he’s a hypocrite. I hate people who kill people with no conscience. I don’t think LeBron kills people.
David, you go off on these rants sometimes without much thought in what you’re typing. I sometimes feel you’re on acid or something. Then I see you post more cognizant stuff so I think you’ve come down. We recently had a good discussion about water levels in below sea level areas. We both see it and it wasn’t agenda driven. It’s reality. Nobody is going to tell us what we see isn’t real. Perception is not reality though. It’s perception. You sometimes get so tangled up in your perception, you don’t see reality.
You skip past a lot of people’s questions to you and just keep rolling with whatever agenda it is that you’re on. Have you not noticed that you get challenged by multiple people often?
You Tim are skipped past…. lol
SMH
I will concede that cows are smarter than AOC.
https://metrovoicenews.com/rep-cortez-repeats-claim-that-cow-flatulence-threatens-mankind/
https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/426353-ocasio-cortez-the-world-will-end-in-12-years-if-we-dont-address
LMAO!!
AOC is correct, cows , and the feed and water it takes to raise them is destroying the planet
they take enormous amounts of food and water, and it takes so many acres to feed 7 billion people
they do put off enormous amounts of flatulence, AND waste, so do pigs and chickens
where does it all go? research it and find out
the amazon rain forest is being depleted as we speak, for animal agriculture
is the rain forest important? it takes alot of co2 out of the atmosphere and provides oxygen,
watch the documentary Cowspiracy , or WHat the Health, or the game changers, and find out what most of us dont know about the animal agricultural industry, and its dirty secrets
Phel, the baby calf that used to live in a field behind Me, is not there anymore, the rancher took her to a show, she won an award, and was sold for $2500.00, to be a show cow.
the rate for a calf for beef around here is $750.
ANY cow in FL that finds a way to avoid being a hamburger, is a damn genius, lol
That’s funny! LOL
True that.
When I was a kid we moved a fence line and left a 6×6 corner post in the middle of a pasture. Had a cow that would charge that post and knock herself out several times a day. I attributed it to the fact that she once got into our neighbor’s weed grow and ate about 20 plants.
my cows were smarter than Yours, lol
i see them do dumb things sometimes, but then i see things that are amazing all the time , like this one calf , the rancher calls her Houdini, lol
she ALWAYS escapes, nothing holds her, lol
one day she was banging on my door for carrots, lol
rancher came out and had to fix a very tiny hole in the fence that she found , and dug under it to get out
that is strange about that cow though, normally they would use a pole like that, to scratch their heads and necks on it
they are always rubbing on poles, sprinklers, fences, tree branches, anything they can find
a tale of star-crossed lovers
One of them is a genius
My youngest kid has gone vegetarian because of the whole cow and chicken thing. I say good for you, daughter, by strong in your convictions. I know I’m strong in my conviction that you’ll have to pry this steak out of my cold, dead hand, lol.
I tried an impossible burger…once.
‘be’ not ‘by’
…that isn’t the question…
I guess today is fun with butchering Shakespeare quotes day (I wonder if anyone on the board will be able to follow any of that)
Lil R & J?
R&J on the first, which is fairly obvious, the 2nd is hamlet and a bit harder to follow as it was accidental, lol (to be or not to be, that is the question)
I ordered a veggie burger one time from a diner and it was made up of cornmeal, lima beans and other squashy veggies. It sucked!!! Burgers are not made of vegetables. LOL
You want to stop eating red meat, fine! But don’t try to make a burger something that it’s not. 😉
The commercials with people saying “I can’t tell the difference” absolutely crack me up. Did you have your tongue blowtorched right before eating it? lol
I think it’s great they have those options for people that want to go that route, whether it’s to save animals, save the earth, or just preference, that’s cool man. But don’t try to sell me on it being just like a real burger. I can tell the difference between horseshit and cow meat. 🤣
Grodin was great in Seems Like Old Times
i used to fish lake okeechobee in the early 70’s, before the cattle farms moved in to the kissimmee river basin that flows into lake okeechobee, and the veggies and sugar cane fields moved in.
between the cows and the vegetables and sugar cane fields, Lake Okeechobee paid the price and was ruined forever, what was once a clear lake almost 50 miles wide, is now a putrid green toxic mess thats 35 miles wide, and the water gets dumped into saltwater canals that drain to the ocean and gulf, creating huge toxic green gunk and red time that kills dolphins, turtles, fish, birds, etc
so yes, the grain that is required to feed the cows, and their waste product that leeches into canals, rivers, groundwater, etc
is destroying the environment, farmers and ranchers took the easy way out for profits, and the environment continually spirals downward into a death spiral while the beef chicken and pork industries, pay off the politicians to keep the status quo
You lived in Florida your whole life. What did you do about it? We’re all part of the human race that does stupid shit. But we also do cool too, no? Do you have a list of people who are responsible and are you on it?
we couldnt stop the big corporations, and the US army corp of engineers that harmed FL
we did what we could, river clean up days, promote awareness, class action suits were filed against corporations, rancher, farmers, and governments
and try to vote for governors that cared about FL
but had little success on the last part of it, FL governors have always been in bed with big Sugar and the beef industries, its profitable
the answer doesnt mean everyone has to go vegan, the answer is making the corporations responsible for their mess, make them clean it up, treat the waste nstead of dumping it, and redesign their operations for substainability
we will all have to pay one way or the other, food will never be cheap again
Tua…
Because he’s a lefty and not the tallest QB, I say this is a baby Steve Young. The great Steve Young we saw in the 90’s was not the rookie he was in 1984. Just saying. 😉
I’m not going THAT far… at least not yet! 🙂
I’m pointing out how many years it took for Young to reach the highest of levels. In today’s game we’ll move on from a QB like Tua before it ever happens.
he looks alot stronger and more confident with his movements than last year
hopefully this is the year Tua takes us to another level
I think he looks absolutely great. No sign of his hip injury, his thighs are THICK, he’s fluid in and out of his breaks, and his arm seems to be live again.
I know you’re not a big Parcells fan, but he always told QBs you throw with your legs not your arm.
The Tuna wasn’t wrong, either, with that thought. Parcells does — in fact — have a lot of wisdom.
So Gaskin said the offense is much different than last year under Godsey/Studesville – totally new playbook. What do you all think that means?
I think it means that old man Gailey is gone. LOL
But seriously, I think it means that this Offense is going to be built around TUA and his strengths.
^
Bootlegs and play-action under center, shotgun RPO, and play heavy TE/Rush when we want too. That’s what I think we’re building.
Agreed, Tim.
Good Morning Football’s Peter Schrager claims that the team that surrounds the former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is different on the field and on the sidelines.
The offensive coordinator for the Dolphins in 2020 was Chan Gailey, who was the coach for former Dolphins quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, in Buffalo and New York.
Gailey is now out and Schrager believes the new co-offensive coordinators, whom were promoted from inside the organization, can do what it takes to build a playbook that best fits Tagovailoa.
In addition to the coaching changes, Miami brought in Jaylen Waddle and Will Fuller
I’m not quite sure what to make of Peter Schrager. I like some of what he says, yet not a fan of other things he says. I’ll tell ya this much, Nate Burleson is a guy I VERY much trust. And dude is VERY sharp with the puns, to boot.
If one isn’t paying attention to what Burleson is saying, it goes right over one’s head. Can’t say enough good about that cat.
what i find interesting is his remarks on how Chan Gailey worked with Fitz with two other teams, but now is gone, along with Fitz of course.
that is why it seemed like the plays were designed more for Fitz than Tua, because they were
Of course the plays were designed for Ryan Fitzpatrick… that’s why Chan Gailey was brought in to begin with, having been with Fitzpatrick with two other teams. Gailey was named as our OC before the ’20 NFL Draft… when we didn’t even know who we might land in the Draft.
Schrager kind of mentioned the NO $#!t, SHERLOCK statement in that interview… I saw it too. I thought everybody (Phins fans) already realized what he’d mentioned.
Schrage’s is a good guy. But he also sells the NFL. Take it with a grain of salt.
I think so too, Tim. I certainly don’t dislike Schrager… he’s a very likable personality.

I’m pointing out how many years it took for Young to reach the highest of levels. In today’s game we’ll move on from a QB like Tua before it ever happens.
———-
Oh, man… I HEAR YA on that, and it’s ridiculous how quickly today’s NFL gives up on young QBs. Many examples out there to pick from, as well.
Dare anyone say Ryan Tannehill. Hulk waits for blog to blow up
Is it fair to mention or not mention Tannehill? We waited many years for him to become our next best since Marino… it never worked out for us.
Personally, I blame our lack of coaching for Tanny’s problems in Miami. I will ALWAYS appreciate that guy for the effort he gave to us.
Pretty sure NBC just ID’d Chris Greir as Brian Flores at the Panthers/lightning game … quite sure Grier is in attendance and they showed him and said was Flores
I just learned that Chris Grier’s brother is Mike Grier. Former NHL player. Kinda Kewl did not know that
Sorry to interrupt, carry on 🤡
I saw an interview with Flores where he said he was going to catch a Panthers game (think on local news). So that makes all the sense in the world.
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, MANITOBA!! The fact that NBC doesn’t know Grier from Flores is typical of America’s SOMETIMES laughable coverage of the NHL!! And it’s typical, so far, of the mostly mediocre play-by-play descriptions of what exactly is going on in these very important playoff games!! It seems to me like these guys aren’t even in the arena but instead are “calling the game” from a broadcast vehicle in Connecticut. WHAT BULLSHIT!!!
——————
Now here’s what’s NOT BULLSHIT! The Lightning are STILL VERY MUCH FOR REAL! Their swoon the last 3 regular season games was caused by two factors: #1) INJURIES. 6 key Bolts players were trying to get healthy for the PLAYOFFS. And #2) the salary cap, which Tampa Bay would have exceeded had they tried to plug some temporary holes with quality replacements during the last 3 games of the regular season. HOWEVER, the “CAP,” as I’ve been told, does not function once the regular season is over. So the injured players got better (Hedman, for instance, the Conn Smyth winner last playoff season) came back from a late season injury to play his ass off the first two games in SUNRISE against the Panthers. And KUCHEROV, who missed the entire regular season, was stellar in both games 1 and 2 of this series. And THAT was bad news for the Panthers!! THEN there’s team captain Stephan Stamkos who, after a couple of months on the injured list, ALSO CAME BACK HEALTHY for the PLAYOFFS!! He looked GREAT in both games 1 and 2 in Sunrise.
—————-
BOTTOM LINE?? — The Panthers are going to LOSE this opening round best of 7 series to the Lightning. Losing games 1 and 2 AT HOME is almost always a death knell to your season. After that, the Bolts most likely will play the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. And whoever wins THAT series will be the betting favorite to win the Stanley Cup.

TIME to walk the Greyhound and get my beauty rest.
The Old Dolfan is OUT for tonight!
OD. Watching Sportsdesk , they did show Flores firing up the crowd.. so he was there , but It was clearly Grier that I saw and they ID’d him as Flores..
As for the “offsite” broadcasters… you are likely correct .. up here, through regular season , with Covid the home team TV crew is in the building, the visiting teams crew is actually at their home arena doing the play by play off the broadcast…. we have a few broadcast crews that are painful to listen to … they are almost emotionless… good luck to everyone’s Faves , unless there are Canadiens, Oilers , or Bruin fans in the house
Believe this is one I watched yesterday, they explain why Flores wants all those DBs.
It said, to match up with different styles of O.
With that said, can see why we took Holland and picked up McCourty
Has to make you feel good to watch that.
ck this crap out, this guy had concrete in his boxing gloves!

Re: impossible burger
“The commercials with people saying “I can’t tell the difference” absolutely crack me up.”
—————————
That is because they used people who had COVID to be taste testers. lol
just wanted to say,
its impossible for those putrid smelly slabs of swamp cabbage to be called burgers
they dont smell good at all, i know the old saying is once your past the smell , You got it licked, but i dont subscribe to that theory, lol
imagine if you scraped off some green mold and barnacles from Your boat, and mixed it with some cauliflower and okra that expired 4 months ago, and fry it up and call it a hamburger,
yea, just like grandmas home cooking, lol not quite
My post 2021 draft no trady early 2022 mock draft:
26. Tyler Linderbaum OC Iowa
52. Brenton Cox EDGE Florida
90. Kennedy Brooks RB Oklahoma
116. Ty Fryfogle WR Indiana
120. Isaiah Pola-Mao S USC
152. Phidarian Mathis DT Alabama
181. Jack Sanborn LB Wisconsin
184. Chandler Jones CB Louisville
216. Brian Robinson Jr. RB Alabama
PFN had us picking #26. I don’t think SF does that well. Our pick to Philly was #20.
Brian Robinson won’t be there this late. He may be top 5 next year.
SF had the good year, when injuries weren’t a factor like last year and the year Jimmy was hurt.
They have the talent to make a run, but that division is brutal, any of the 4 could win it or finish last
Feel like a lot of people are going to be on the Linderbaum train
It would be wise to keep adding to OL next season but not sure about a first on a center
Of course if we are drafting in the back end of the first, it’s more plausible
By midseason im sure we will have a better idea of our needs but for now, early on looking at pass rushers, OL early – basically the fundamental stuff. An offensive playmaker is always welcome too 🐷
I’m sure Flores is eyeing all the DBs….lol
Just got a Costco membership
Just bought bulk toilet paper
Should have enough through 2022 now
I bought coke and yogurt too
Not sure if there is any connection
But whatever you think of me – if there’s a zombie apopcolypse, and you think you can survive on yogurt and cola, my home is ground zero
Coke isn’t a good deal at Costco, but yogurt can be, especially on sale
Now that you got Costco squared away find your other place that you pop in to buy the expiration stuff for the next couple days’ meals. But then that’s assuming Costco is a hike, wherever I lived the bulk places were for me.
I use 2 bulk, 2 regular, and Walmart.
The 2 regulars always have ground beef, chicken, and beef on sale, along with other stuff I use
Sounds like you are the multi-site shopping sensai. I always just had bulk and not bulk. Headed out to the bulk every 3 or 4 weeks and in btwn hit the local supermarket.
They say the TP is a good deal there, but don’t agree.
The 2 stores I go to have apps and it’s on sale a lot.
Last week bought 2 12 packs for $5, not top quality, but good enough.
This week they have the good stuff 12 pack $3.
You must live out in the sticks now
If Pig lives in the sticks now only relative to where he was before.
That was what I was referring to
what buy and not buy at costco
Watch those sometimes to get ideas, but too far out there most of the time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXg8J-kliIk
Heck yeah the Dolphins showed up to support the Panthers last night…. Flores even voiced a promo video.
—————————–
“Flores and general manager Chris Grier were among roughly 40 members of the team’s coaching and personnel staffs who packed a couple of suites.”
— Beasley
Doing everything the right way.
Davis and Gruden were at a VGK game, that I attended, before the pandemic, but no speech the PA did mention them and put them on the screen
BBM – we don’t need no stinking RB’s, don’t you read this blog? 🤣
It’s not that we don’t need them, it’s that you wanted someone else. 😉
We’ll see how it plays out. Maybe the guys we have will be productive.
Gesicki is going to Tight End U in Nashville. Worse coaches for him to have than Kelce and Kittle.
What is this?
A bunch of the tight ends were invited to come to Nashville to work out together and share tips on playing TE. Kittle and Kelce the marquis names who seem to be at least part of running it. Not sure why they are trying to help the competition to tell you the truth, but if they are gonna share glad our TE will be there.
Oh okay. Lots of players from different teams workout together though.
That is true. This does seem something different though. All the same position and flying in to do it. And claim it is about learning that position.
Interesting!
Got the second vaccine Monday afternoon. Still feeling horrible 2 days later.
Yeah i have heard almost everyone that has had the shot say the second one is a mother fucker.
My wife had similar and today talked to an aunt who did as well. Not all do though (me being one). Sorry you pulled the wrong card….. still nice after it is over.

As soon as i saw that list the first name that stood out to me was Ty Fryfogle. That name is an odd one most places but not here in Lucedale MS. That’s a fairly common name, big family clan here with that name. Looked it up and yep, Lucedale MS is his hometown. I think i remember them talking about this kid around here when he played HS football here. I dont have any kids who play, so i don’t attend the HS games, but looks like he had done pretty well for himself considering he is being rated a 4thish round pick.
I will have to say Lucedale does produce some good talent occasionally. Most of us will remember one of the last WR’s to really make it big from here. Eric Moulds, former Buffalo Bill WR.
Donte Moncrief is also from this area, just about 20 minutes from here
Hey D, not sure if you discussed him before but what do you think of RB Jordan Scarlett with you being a Gators fan?
I’ve been a fan of Marcellus Wiley for a while… and he’s speaking the truth here on Tua.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDcHBoH17QE
Yeah that’s how I feel. I don’t really care about some of the stats they were putting out there with a limited body of work. It’s about the jump from year one to year two. We’ll know a lot more about Tua this year. The entire offense has a chance to take that next step with so many young players taking that next step individually. Not just last year’s rookies but 3rd and 4th year players too.
We’ve heard Gaskin say the offense is very different. I think that’s all about building around the talent we have, not just Tua even though he’s a big part of it being the QB, but what we think we do well. Play to our strengths. I’m looking forward to it. 🙂
The hate Tua consistently faces is illogical
Being sick prevented me from posting this yesterday but it’s never too late!
⚽️💚🦬🥅🏆
Congrats
Congratulations!!!!!!!
Cool! But what about Parcheesi? 😉
Video captured from about a week ago. DB training with some really good ones around the league. Xavien, Iggy, and Jamal Perry are in this.
As your resident DB enthusiast, I really dig this video…
And might I say, Iggy looks poised to take the next step in his young career.
That vid is half a Big Bang theory… lol. What did you see about Iggy that you liked?
There is going to be heavy competition in our secondary this year. Iggy battling for more playing time will be one of them.
D, Ty Fryfogle caught my eye last year when IU lost @ Ohio State 42-35. Fryfogle had 7 rec for 218 yards and 3 TD’s. He is one to keep an eye on.

That vid is half a Big Bang theory… lol. What did you see about Iggy that you liked?
—————
A) Participation (he’s serious: only a handful of league-wide DBs participated in this get together)
B) He’s chiseled like never before, looks like he gained a few pounds of muscle
C) His reaction-time in these drills (very good reflexes, very good and fluid hips)
D) Movement: very seamless, no wasted motion. We can see why he was drafted in the 1st round last year
E) He’s rocking a heavy beard in the HEAT: he’s fully acclimated to the HEAT (conditioned)
Iggy is a great athlete. He also seems like a very motivated individual. Put the two of them together and you usually have a good player. He’s only 2.5 years into being a CB.
Absolutely agreed.
He’s also only 21 years old. Grier and Flores used a late 1st round pick to draft him last year because they see something in this young man.
One thing I liked that I saw from him last year is he competes and plays aggressive even if he didn’t know what he was doing. The sky is the limit for him if he learns the finer points of playing corner. There is no shortage of tutelage in the secondary room and watching the top guys play last year. He’s in a great situation in Miami.
Absolutely agreed for a second time, Tim.
Thanks M13…. hope you are spot on with that.
YW… and me too. But if there’s anything I’m good for, it’s evaluation of DBs. I think Iggy’s going to be a good one.
David Amerson will always be held against me, but I couldn’t predict injuries ending his career.
Did I miss the ticket count on the Fest? I didn’t vote so maybe it was there. I believe I can be at any the dates this year, especially since there will be herd immunity from what I can tell….lol
I don’t think we sr\tarted a ticket count. There’s a poll on the date so you can vote
Not going to vote but want to be there whenever it is. Full disclosure, probably will not be vaccinated….so there’s that.
Should I vote for all three games since it doesn’t matter to me?
I like it…Krishna say fuck being zombified.
Funny….i was thinking about life as a zombie today. Not for me!
Jaelan Phillips’ upside is as big a deal that drafting Jaylon Waddle was on the other side of the ball. We didn’t have a guy with his skills on the edge. Ogbah can be a beast as a DE but that hybrid OLB/DE with Phillips’ size and speed ratio we did not have. 🙂
I do like the balanced approach with the draft. Lots of holes to fill on both sides of the ball. Hopefully, we’ve started filling them in.
Love the speed, love the competition, love the culture being built. It’s about fucking time.
I wanted Micah and Najee so I totally get Mike E. on RB, at least.
Stay the course and I’ll enjoy the view!
Who do we have to beat in the AFC to get to a championship game? How do we compete against and beat those teams? The AFC is deep and competitive, much more so then the NFC and we play the best of the NFC this year in TB and NO.
From what I saw us do in the offseason was not about a premier RB, it was about defense and explosive plays on offense. Continuing to build the OL as well.
Our schedule will show us where we stand this year. It’s a really good test.
Well said.
I thought we were bad (not awful) on both sides of the ball in spite of our record. The last game of the season exposed much of the charade of the season.
I believe we have made needed improvement on both sides of the ball to be competitive in the AFC. Now, show me, as OD would say.
Lol….I guess I killed the blog last night. Oh my, oh well.
Your unvaccinated status scared everyone away. You have electron cooties.
My thought bubble surmised as much….lol.
I think we should make the call sooner than later as to what date the Fest will be and I would love to get a head count as to who’s coming as well. I know that’s Stanger’s job, but I would like to try to get things booked ASAP while the rates may still be reasonable. Once everything opens up I bet the rates jump quite a bit.
We should call it today, there’s a clear winner
It sure looks that way. Then we just need the head count

Hey D, not sure if you discussed him before but what do you think of RB Jordan Scarlett with you being a Gators fan?
——————————————————–
I think Scarlett is a really good RB, more true downhill guy with some giddyup. Decent receiver, as most of the UF RB’s will be, and a well rounded back that’s not just crazy stand out in any one area. Comparing him to others backs, remember Gills? Mike Gillislee, id say he is comparable to him in the rounded skill set, but he is a more powerful runner. A chance to be a really good pro,

My wife had similar and today talked to an aunt who did as well. Not all do though (me being one). Sorry you pulled the wrong card….. still nice after it is over.
————————————————
All the ones i have heard talking about the second one being bad have been women, i think Herd brought up something about it typically hitting women harder. Maybe that explains your luck and that of the several i have spoken with.
I plan on attending the fest
Hulk must inspect his newly renovated accommodations. 🙂
My wife got her second shot yesterday. Down hard today.
Got my second yesterday too, I feel fine, I’m at work
I will be at the Fest. No tickets required.
Getting my second dose tomorrow.
I will be there and will sit with everyone unless there is an unvaxed section and i need to get my own ticket. Just let me know the rules.
I won’t wear a mask outside, especially tail gating, D&B, or walking the boardwalk on Hollywood beach. Full disclosure.
Just let me know the date please…depending on the weekend will determine if i do a week vacation there before or after.
And yes, flights are still cheap. RT from ATX to Tampa this summer was $240 bought yesterday.
Liberals are always causing problems 🙂 JKBB and whatever else i need to do/say to show I’m joking lol.
Still, this is my plea for people to still treat it like its not over (that and because its not) is that we will always have a mixture of people, who by all freedoms they are allotted choose not to get vaccinated and though its politicized as hell, to each their own. Your feelings on it aren’t theirs and vice versa. I think the sooner the world starts co-existing with one another, no matter the case, the better we are.
For me i believe in the vaccine, I’m not a vaccine denier, but i also don’t feel anyone should be belittled, chastised, etc because of their belief in not getting it or waiting a little longer. I justam irritated with the group of people who are like Your cousin…..from Bahhhstun. Who had the shot and then had his dream of ok yay all done back to normal. This shit came on fast and has held on for a while, its not going anywhere in a fast manner, hell I’m not convinced it does ever.
Id say do what you feel is right and if there are consequences…deal with them. That goes for those that don’t get the vaccine and remain at risk, and the ones that get it and very foolishly believe they can return to normal putting themselves at risk. I mean its been over a fucking year, what’s the fucking rush lol.
I don’t have an issue with any one being vaccinated or unvaccinated. Up to the person. I wasn’t going to get it but then the guilt kicked in, I’m around my mama quite a bit. If I thought I passed something to her, devastating.
Not sure being happy about no side effects is the correct thinking. The immune system response is what makes you feel bad. If you had no side effects, did it really work?
This is a good point, but then again, everyone’s reaction to the virus itself varies in severity from asymptomatic to death so its bound to have a range on the effects of the antivirus People have reactions to the standard flu vaccine too.
I don’t even care if it works I have my stupid little card that says I got it
Well yeah and for some its as simple as that. I want to do functions a, b, c and they require the little card. So i got the card.
Herd — your question about if no side effects did it work a good and logical one. Saw a doc on the news say not to worry about that.
And yeah worrying about your Mom was the right move, as with everyone else you run across.
Tomorrow will be my 2 week anniversary from my second shot
And let me tell you, I’ve been a wild boar since being vaccinated
First, not only have I’ve stop wearing pants, I went next level and burned any pants
Also I’ve used foul language in public settings more often than before
Finally, I’ve decided that it’s too early to judge rookie QBs after one year
The vaccine has really allowed me to live my life freely
Been fully vaccinated since March 31. I still wear a mask when required and have no problem doing but I am returning to a more normal existence again. I have returned to dining at restaurants. I am back to regular workouts at the gym. We have made plans to travel. None of this would have been possible without the vaccine.
But did you burn your pants?
Hulk only wears ripped and tattered purple pants
What happened with the lederhosen?
Poll on the Fest date is 9-2-1 Atlanta. Makes sense to call it Falcons on Oct 24 to me.
I’ll just let our Phins guy know the date and put a deposit down.
Then I’ll have a couple of months to lock down the final number before final payment due at the seat draft.

it got hulkified, and now is Lederfettihosen
10/24 it is and I’m in. Now do I want to start my vacation the week before of the game or kick it off with the fest and stay an extra week. Decisions, decisions.
Loved the Wild Boar comment. Our Piggy is growing up sans pants.
We’re away before and after the Falcons game so you can’t turn your trip into a twofer but being it’s already late October the week prior will likely be nicer weather. Unless you want to be in Key West for Halloween 🤷♂️
Only if he drives to Key West. And fantasy fest will probably be epic this year.
Oh yeah it’ll be insane I bet
Piggs would fit right in
Fantasy is something to see. Wanna call it Marti Gras for aging hippies, but was a whole lot of partying young folks there when was there 2 or 3 years ago. Locals parade is better than the main event.
You guys are hilarious! Lol.
It’s going to have to be after as I just remembered I have work commitments, IRS and state Q3 reporting. Can’t mess with the man on these….lol.
I was so excited about getting to a game, I forgot about work. LOL!
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/timon-parris/32005041-5264-3168-c4ec-5884e065c3b1
Why not?
A lot of our guys are poised to do that this could be a hell of a ride this year.
I sense a very strong energy and eagerness from this team. Ten wins and no playoffs is hard to accept these players are hungry.
As long as he doesn’t fall asleep under a tree, I think he’s got the right stuff to take the next step
LOL
“The Athletic” reported yesterday that the Atlanta Falcons are trying to trade Julio Jones… don’t know why they’d do that, being they seem to be in ‘WIN NOW’ mode with Matty Ice (could have drafted his replacement), and the R1P4 selection of Kyle Pitts.
I’m not interested in trading for him (though I love the player), just PLEASE don’t end up in the AFC East.
If we did get him Parker is toast. I don’t see us being in the Julio market either but I’d be psyched as hell if we did get him.
Agreed, on all accounts. Love Julio Jones, but he’s not the future for us at his age.
Don’t think Falcons are in win now mode at all. Look how they did last season. Makes sense to get something out of Julio and maybe do him a favor do him a favor by sending him to a contender.
That’s cool, just don’t trade him to the AFC East! Him opposite Diggs in Buffalo would be horrible for us, him helping the stej new QB would be horrible for us, and just imagine Belicheat* getting his hands on him… *gulp*
While a number of religious groups are supportive of LGBTQ inclusion and equality, the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas is not one of them. Its members believe that homosexuality is a sin, according to the church’s website
They must have loved what the gay guy who moved in across the street did. In an official statement the Westboro Baptist Church referred to the guy’s house as the “Sodomite Rainbow House.” And the place has been tagged a lot with many hateful words….. even if no proof the minister did it.
I think that’s the same church that protests military funerals because being a soldier of war is also a sin.
They are shit stirrers and they aren’t Christians, that’s not the all inclusive love that God intends.
Lap siding lends itself nicely to that rainbow paint job. With vertical lined siding he would have needed to tape lines.
Think it looks neat. And not like the guy next door wasn’t going bold with his color scheme, but then he went red, white and blue.
I would be pissed if either of those houses were in my neighborhood. I certainly would not buy one there if I was looking for a house. Ridiculous
Guess it just a matter of taste, or maybe have gotten used to the Florida tropical color schemes. We have aquas, oranges, pinks and bright oranges all over the place. And that includes if you take the tourist boat tour of the big money mansions. But for sure not like those either.
Looks some houses in some of the neighborhoods in ATX. Awesome $1M properties. I love it!
^Looks like….
I’m terrible at this….lol.
Good dude. I do think he’ll be even better this year.
D, thanks for the comments on Scarlett. The highlights that I think David posted showed some good stuff and like you said, a downhill type of runner. I forgot about Mike Gillislee. I thought at the time he was going to be better than what his career ended up being.
He was under utilized by us, got out went to….Buffalo wasn’t it? had some success there for a short time until they got LeSean then he stopped getting touches, and i think fizzled out. Gills, was never a world beater back he was just a very rounded player. Scarlett has more potential to hit the highly productive back status, so im not trying to kill his ability to be great by comparing him to a guy who ended up with an somewhat average career, even if not a little short, but its more the rounded skills set that normally comes with a UF back because of the offense they generally run.
I remember Gillislee fumbling a couple of times after nice runs, one being a 50 yarder so that will get you a seat on the bench.
Florida had Scarlett and LaMichael Perine in the backfield being a tandem, Scarlett was more the bruiser, downhill type and Perine more one-cut with burst acceleration.
Both were interchangeable though so they could run pass plays with both, get good pass pro out of either, but as runners they were a little bit different skill set. Look at Perine’s highlights and you will see what i mean. Couple other guys who are solid well rounded backs, are in the NFL right now having decent just not flashy careers. Matt Jones (was the Washington Football Teams starting RB.
He was pretty good in NE for a little while too
^Looks like…
Herd, are you going to Vegas for your BD? If so what dates?
No she’s coming to Miami like you should
I honestly don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been looking to buy a house. I’ve been leasing since I made the big move out. But now, I can live anywhere. Don’t have to go back to the office to work so I’m expanding my search. My kids are grown or nearly so, I don’t need the size house I’m in, I really didn’t need this size with them both here.(This is me trying to convince myself to NOT buy the house I’m leasing, which I LOVE). I don’t even have to live in WV anymore but I doubt I move too far away. But I could…. Too damn many options now!
As far as Vegas, we might go to Vegas, even though the schedule messed up my plan. I could come to the Fest. I’m trying to find out if my sister and other friend are interested in tagging along…good grief, not sure I even want to bring them. I’ll be seeing both of them Memorial Day weekend, so hopefully can figure out a plan, but doubtful. Not really how we roll.
LMAO…..what’s a girl to do? Awesome!
You sound like my wife. Make a dang decision already. We really don’t have to be here 20 minutes just to figure out if you want fries with that, lol. 😉
Buying a house is a huge decision and an expensive trip can be too, so obviously I’m kidding around, lol. But you never know how these things might read differently than intended, so I’ll state it clearly 🙂
It’s ok, I understand. I’m just providing the most honest answer I have! It literally is what my thought process is….scary huh?
Herd, the ‘trying to find out about sister and friend, but not really sure if you want to bring them’ had me rolling, and was what actually got me to respond.
My wife’s sister is…well she’s her sister, so of course she wants to do stuff with her, but at the same time she requires a lot of maintenance, so it’s always a back and forth in her head about whether to include sis or not. Not saying it’s the same thing with your sis, but that is what went through my noggin 😂
Omg…it’s like you know her already! 😂
LOL
Move to FL, lots of good priced neighborhoods, but not sure you can get the value or lower prices, like in WV
CK….right on! For me, it’s always been fun to watch. I love it. You need to empower the choice quickly….so there’s that.
We have an understanding about these things with the kinks worked out carefully over the years. She’ll try and order as quickly as she can, and I’ll suffer patiently or regret it if I don’t, lol.
The best part is when a woman asks your opinion because of all the choices. Then, the challenge begins. Again, I love it because you feel part of plan and you know you have some say. Lol….
Lmao….yep. It’s beautiful.
Miss Monalisa Vito is soooo freaking hot.in that spangled purple dress.
{stream of consciousness}
Ha ha I’m watching too. She is hot and she aged well too.
You saying spangled sounds kind of gay…
Starting @ 2:04… those eyes are bloody weird. I mean, WEIRD.
Otherwise(!), I like this cat, and think he’s going to be prolific in our future.
Anyone else think Austin at 21 years old speaks like he’s a 30 year old vet?
Gee I wonder why we drafted this kid so young at #18 last year. Oh right, he’s also talented and 6-5 325. 🙂
Have you all noticed that when Grier was given the top dog job he hired Brian Flores as HC who is not a specific guru of one area of football, but an overall football coach? Not only that, but how they went about acquiring draft capital and cutting cap for a complete rebuild. That has become a trend. The Giants Joe Judge, the Jets Robert Saleh and the Lions Dan Campbell to name a few. They all did the same thing. The genius coordinator has given way to a leader of men and a guy who coaches every phase and play, not just his speciality.
Yes, he’s an overall coach, but he is a D guru, and that has made him a good head coach.
Where would we be without him being a D guru?
He’d be just an average coach
Meaning that’s not his only focus like Gase sitting by himself on the bench with his tablet of plays while the game is still going on. You’re a HC not just the OC now.
Man i wish i had applied then, i mean i know D better than any of them.

Move to FL, lots of good priced neighborhoods, but not sure you can get the value or lower prices, like in WV
————————————————————–
Plenty of places that might not be in the bigger city markets where the real estate is really reasonable. My target retirement/self-employed/working from home all the time location would be in the Orlando area, some of the towns around there are quaint and affordable and still in the range to travel to Disney to walk around Epcot World Showcase anytime id want.
Orlando just seems too big city (traffic) but being off the coast the prices are decent, cheaper than LV
Yeah thats why im thinking like something outside the city, in one of the suburbs where its quiet and reasonable for day to day thing but you can venture into Disney as needed. Im big on Disney and would love to have a season ticket and come ang go as many times as i cared to. I think it would be almost surreal for going to the Parks to be weekly thing just to chill out and learn to experience Disney as at a lot slower pace. When its a one week visit you have to cram in as much as ya can in a compressed timeframe, im sure just bopping over for a lunch at Fran in the world showcase, or grab a beer or two at Germany, enjoy the fireworks, head home would be really neat.
Also, retirement dollars go further without a state tax.
Maybe get an adopt a geezer job at one of the parks lol.

Probably hotter out of it, just saying. She has always had a quality to her that was sexy.
The never ending talk of Fins/Tua taking the next step.
In year 1 we started as the worst team in the history of the NFL, then finished with 5 wins the last 9 weeks.
Isn’t that taking the next step year 1?
In year 2 we started 1-3, then turned it around winning 9 of 12.
Isn’t that taking the next step from the year before?
In year 3 it all depends on if Tua can take the next step.
Isn’t that true for every team not named Chiefs and Bucs, can they take the next step?
Yeah i was about to comment that it was a fluff piece just to bring that discussion back up again and get clicks. All players at all position need to progress, and it needs to be at whatever pace if good with the coaches. The coaches have shown they aren’t worried about moving on from a player if they feel its the right time or they can get better from others, so im not worried about putting fan expectation on a player and being pissy when they don’t reach it. Ever considered your evaluation and expectations aren’t exactly professional grade?
Thats how i was with Tanny i waited patiently for several years until it was pretty obvious it wasn’t happening. I mean you can debate all day if it was the coaching or the player or whatever, but end of the day, even if it was the coaches, it wasn’t working and we held on WAY too long. People bitch and complain about him now doing better (ill stop short of great because that success is largely on the running game), but the same people are like year i think year 2 is all we should give Tua lol. I mean come on, listen to your self people its ridiculous.
RT still hasn’t progressed to where he can win an SB. His pocket presence is just too poor and his check down mentality doesn’t get it done.
The stats thru 3 qtrs aren’t that important, when you can’t win the close games at the end.
The year KC won it all Majomes was below par for his standard, but got it done when it mattered. The year before and last year he was lights out, but didn’t win the SB.
Small sample size, but I’d rather have the can’t stop at the end of the game version of Mahomes
Man no one bit on the joke i made above…so disappointed, but maybe its just because today’s posting has been pretty slow.
I thought Armando’s article was interesting. He showed what the league averages are from year one to year two for the average QB… from 2010-present.
If Tua can just make an ‘average’ leap from year one to year two, we’re talking playoffs, based on his play alone. My expectations are far greater for Tua, so I certainly wouldn’t call it a fluff piece, but that’s just me.
Yes, we’re going to be seeing some garbage articles from now on and for awhile, being we’ve reached the doldrums, but I liked the above article.
I think my expectations for Tua would be the following…
32+ TDs, 8- INTs, 3,500+ passing yards, 66+ completion%, 105.0+ passer rating
No, I didn’t plug the first 4 stats into a passer rating calculator, so maybe his passer rating would be higher if he achieves the first 4 stats. Plus, I’m not going to guess sack totals being the O-Line must be factored.
These are just baseline and ballpark expectations coming from me, and I do believe they are attainable.
Oh yeah, I just based those numbers above on a 16-game season. Add a couple/few more TDs and yards.
If that is your baseline can I lock it down right now? Whole town would be happy with that.
Baseline expectations, hence the + after each stat. If Tua hits my expectations, yes, the whole town should be proud.
I think the TD prediction is a bit too optimistic. I feel 24-26 would be more in line with Tua’s second year. If he gets 28-29, then I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
4-1 TDs to Ints would make Tua elite
5 QBs achieved that last year, but a lot had to do with holding penalties way down.
Allen broke out in some part due to this holding stat.
How they call it this year will determine a lot of how the stats go
But Tua doesn’t throw many picks. Only 5 last year. So wouldn’t be that shocking if he got 20 TDs….. it’s what we want.
5 ints in half a season doubled is how many?
But he threw 3 in the last Bills game, which doesn’t count. Double the 2 before and add a bit and we are back to 5. 🙂
His INTs don’t concern me….. his TD total does.
Lol his 3 Bills ints don’t count.
He doesn’t throw many ints, until he does
steve — are you one of those guys who counts runs over 9 yards?
“He’s competitive. He’s tough. And he’s going to do exactly what the coaches ask of him. I expect Austin to make a big jump in his second year.”
— Andrew Van Ginkel on Jackson, and sorta admitting there is room for a jump up.
Traditionally rookie OL suck in year 1, and many nake the jump in year 2, but may be harder this year based on officiating

I hear ya, SB7. What made me a bit too optimistic? My lack of faith in our ground game. Truthfully, 28-29 TDs would be fine by me, so long as it translates to wins.
Should Tua not meet my lofty expectations, that would not mean he didn’t ROCK for us. I just have a very good feeling about that kid!
The above should read: My lack of faith in our ground game is what made me a bit too optimistic about Tua’s TD total I’d projected.
I don’t want the typed word to be misinterpreted solely as me questioning you as “What made me a bit too optimistic?”. I’m sure you understood what I meant, though!
I was thinking same about Tua’s pass TD’s not being that high but only because our rush TD’s may be up. So I am thinking the opposite of our ground game. Our rookie OL from last year got a ton of snaps and experience. I see them to be much improved this year. Add in the threat of our new WR corps and Gesicki and our running game will be much improved. If Tua has 25+ pass TD’s and our rush TD’s are up, we will be in a great position. I feel our rush TD’s will be up to include a healthy scrambling Tua in that group.
Can’t argue with that logic, either… I hear you too, BBM. I think I (and others) may be a bit hung up on not getting a stud RB early in this Draft.
Not many teams have stud RBs, and do the teams that do win championships? I believe the last team to win the Super Bowl because they had a “stud” RB was Seattle over Denver in 2014 with Lynch. But they also had a badass defense and a playmaking QB.
We all know that an offense starts with big boys up front. So any production we have in the pass and run game starts with their performance. We saw a great example of that in the Super Bowl. You can be loaded with skill players and struggle to move the ball and score points if you can’t block the plays.
