In the 2020-2021 offseason, the Miami Dolphins signed free agent C Matt Skura, who was not re-signed by the Ravens. I wasn’t a big fan of that move, I didn’t really have a lot of confidence in the Ravens castoff. Twofold reasoning here. When the Ravens let a guy go, there’s a reason. They are one of the best run franchises in the NFL and when they make personnel decisions, they’re usually correct. Unlike the move last year of bringing in former Patriot Ted Karras, this one smelled of we missed out on who we really wanted but we need to take someone. In walks 2019 Miami Dolphins 3rd RD pick Michael Deiter, #78 overall.
Deiter played all 16 games of the 2019 season at LG with 15 game starts. He played 93% of the offensive snaps that season. You have to go back to 2018 for Skura where played 100% of the snaps and each year his play has decreased. Of course it’s easy to say that Deiter didn’t play much at all last season, but 2020 is a mulligan due to COVID-19. There’s no official status yet that Michael Deiter will be our starting C but it seems clear that they wouldn’t mind if it worked out that way. The former Wisconsin road grader will be given every opportunity to take the job, and I hope he does just that.
Coming out of Wisconsin, Deiter played both left guard, right guard and center with the majority coming at center. Deiter is a bit tall for a C at 6’5 but the Dolphins had Mike Pouncey here for years who was also 6’5. Deiter can win at the LOS but has some trouble with second level blocks. I’ll take winning at the LOS for now. Deiter’s draft rating was “Good backup who could become starter” OK Mike, take the job and run with it! Deiter is signed through next season so we can get a good look at him this season and then we have next season to either decide whether he’s our future center or whether we need to look for another. Skura has a 1 year contract which to me says he was just an insurance policy that the team would use if necessary for one season.
As far as the other camp battles, Austin Jackson appears to be a shoe in for the LT position while at LG, my choice for RT Liam Eichenberg has been getting lots of snaps. I wouldn’t read too much into it, I still firmly believe that Solomon Kindley will be the starting LG. Robert Hunt has been at RG where I feel he will be the starter and Jesse Davis has been getting reps at RT. All this is very fluid though, guys need to get reps in and once again, I feel it will be Jackson – Kindley – Deiter – Hunt – Eichenberg when the dust settles. I do think there’s an outside chance that Jesse Davis starts at RT early but I think/hope that Eichenberg takes the spot.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

I find it interesting when fans constantly rag on our players even when they’re performing well. Go team!!!!
^
Which players are getting ragged on? Think folks are pretty happy with this squad.
Well one guy is a part time player and the other doesn’t care about his teammates. 😉
Have no clue who the part time player is. The other one X? If so that part is over at least. Still hear nothing but praise for the team overall though . Hasn’t been like this for years.
X is the only one I’ve heard throw any player under the bus, and Wilson is getting it from everyone’s fav poster🤡
My guess is Wilson and Shaheen
Bears have some good DB’s. Will be fun to see how they defend all our speed. Though things will be kind of vanilla. Of course, run game as well.
I wonder who will even play in this 1st PS game.
This isn’t the HOF game and we only have 3, so I’d expect all healthy players to play
Tua is going to play 1 series, first play will be a crossing route to Waddle and he’s going the distance, he’s going for speed…
And he’s having his Cake and eating it too.
Not sure if this will pop up, but first depth chart is out. Doaks as the last RB and Wilson ahead of Waddle among other things.

McCourty ahead of Holland too.
Nothing that crazy at this time. Lots can change over the next few weeks.
I was going to post this yesterday but I got busy and lost track. Anybody hear Isaac Bruce’s HOF speech the other day? He was talking about some of his imaginary friends growing up in South Florida…
Start at the 6:50 mark and hit play 😀
Click the “Watch on YouTube” link on the screen above.
Stanger, it’s Wilson and Shaheen.
What did Shaheen do? Seems like a good guy to me, especially since with was cool doing the health prevention protocols cause unvaccinated. He bad mouth a teammate or two?
No it’s all David’s perception. Wilson is a waste of space and Shaheen not getting vaccinated means he doesn’t care about his teammates. It’s the world according to David. LOL
Wish I’d known we were just talking about something David said from the start on this one. He obviously has a most unique and different view on things.
I thought it was obvious from his recent rants about the same thing over and over. I root for all of our players so it’s strange to me how some fans harp on the negative even if they’re performing well.
You assumed I read David’s posts. Wouldn’t tag his thoughts to all fans.
I didn’t assume anything about you, I put it out there for everyone thinking it was obvious to most or all that at least saw it and knew what I meant. It’s not really a big deal though.
And that’s cool… wasn’t blaming you for anything at all. Just saying didn’t read David’s posts on this.
M , I really enjoyed Isaacs call out of the unnamed voice that called him pre draft telling him was not good enough … I pray God has left you on earth for this day , How Ya Like Me Now ….
Me too, bud! It was an excellent speech, all around by Isaac!
M13, the other day after Hunter Long was carted off the field you stated that you didn’t think we needed him anyway. I think the reason we drafted him is we have roles for multiple TEs in our offense so you need depth. Let’s say we keep 4, if we lose one we’re down to 3 and if another guy gets hurt and will miss a few weeks, we’re down to 2. Now we can’t do some of the stuff we wanted to run and we now need to go to the scrap heap for depth. That’s just the way I see it.
Yes, you’re talking about the ‘Ace’ package (or ’12-personnel’). I didn’t try to minimalize Hunter Long (as I said, hopefully, he’s going to be alright), and I do see the vision for having drafted him.
I’m a HUGE fan of Gesicki, so my thoughts dwelled on re-signing him ASAP. I see a lot of fans thinking that Long is going to be the replacement for Gesicki, wanting Gesicki to walk into FA.
That’s all that was about. Can’t change who we drafted, and I hope Long didn’t suffer anything too serious. If we want our ‘Ace’ package to work (that’s probably why we drafted Long), we need him back sooner than later.
The thing is Gesicki is a receiver, that’s his bread and butter. He’s mostly a vertical and red zone guy though, not a savvy route runner like a Travis Kelce. He’s not a blocker though he has to do it at times, even WRs have to block at times. Then you have guys like Smythe and Shaheen who are more prototypes that can block, run some short and intermediate routes, play H-back and fullback roles. You need TEs like that. I believe the team thought Long can also be one of them but a better overall receiver as well.
I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything about Long’s injury yet. I almost feel like that might be a good thing though. If he really tore up his knee you would think we’d know already. Maybe it’s not that severe but could miss a few weeks. Hoping for the best like all of us.
Agreed… if it were anything serious regarding Long, I think we’d have heard something definitive (ie: ACL, MCL, etc) the day after the injury. I think that’s a positive sign as well.
For those who didn’t see/hear Issac Bruce’s HOF speech I posted above, his imaginary friends back in the day were Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, and his man, Dan Marino!
That was SO great to hear him say that! Props to Issac Bruce!
Issac Bruce was – Clayton, Holt was – Duper and Warner wearing #13 who recently put Marino in his Mount Rushmore of QBs was – Marino. What made them the greatest show on turf was Marshall Faulk. He was Tony Nathan 3.0.
^
BOOM!
Several of us wanted to draft Najee Harris for this very reason, Bro. He can run, he can block, and he can catch… just like the greats (Marshall Faulk and Edge James).
Just food for thought, nothing more. NOT trying to get into a political discussion about COVID, but every side should be heard, in order to make the best and most informed decision possible… am I right? I happen to agree with this doctor’s assessment, as it concurs with my own independent thoughts, prior to hearing this gentleman for the first time today.
Not only did I learn something from this speech that I hadn’t previously considered/understood, but it generally reinforces my idea that we’re actually causing the virus to mutate via the vax. Gee, who would have thought? LOL
Please watch…
Impressive. Impossible for me to discount anything he said.
I agree with him also. Thanks for the info M.
Hes completely misrepresenting what the cdc is saying to make an argument
He’s actually parroting some of their statements
The cdc doesn’t say a vaccine is like a magic wand that makes the virus go away. First and foremost the cdc pushes vaccines to stop the spread of a virus or disease not to make it go away.
We still have polio breakouts every year. And that vaccine has been around for 100years now. The vaccine stops the spread when it gets to heavily vaccinated areas.
I think some of you need to spend more time reading what the cdc actually says, instead of listening to some guy tell you what the cdc says, then repeating what the cdc actually says like it’s his own
https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/adults/reasons-to-vaccinate.html
https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vac-gen/why.htm
If you believed the vaccine was some kind of magic trick, that’s on you, not the cdc
But the data out there unquestionably demonstrates positive results from the vaccinated
Also, When he’s talking about the high % of people who had the vaccination who got the varian in MA, he’s ignoring that MA has a highly vaccinated population, bolstering those numbers (same as UK)
The conclusion he made about vaccinated people giving unvaccinated people in the MA covid is absolutely ludicrous. He doesn’t know that. He wasn’t their doctor. He’s a doctor in Indiana talking about hundreds of patients he never met with in MA. He knows very little or nothing about interactions before they contracted covid, he didn’t do any contact tracing and he’s jumping to the conclusion that the vaccinated population caused the unvaccinated population to be infected. That’s not even close to credible. And it’s illogical. We had massive covid outbreaks before a vaccine was ever introduced – why is MA any different post-vaccine. Its almost like you guys forgot 2020 happened. We had covid before there wasn’t a vaccine, now some one is arguing that the vaccine caused the unvaccinated to get it…wtf
But worst of all take everything he said as fact and recognize how bleak that is and what it means. The idea that covid is never going to eliminated and the new normal means you should be wearing masks all the time, and avoiding other people – and i guaranty some of the people celebrating this guy don’t want mask mandates or closures either. But that’s what’s going to be necessary if vaccines are not successful at slowing down the spread of the virus so that 9t is as a practical matter eliminated
I seriously wish you guys would approach skepticism about his argument with the ferocity you apply to your skepticism about the vaccines
Word for the night: anti-Stratfordian.
Generally, I’ve always held a similar position on vaccinations for the flu. And, more specifically why would you knowingly put a virus, a deadly one at that, in your body.
I also would agree that if you have COVID why would you need to be vaccinated, too. You already have the antibodies and your body is typically smarter than science.
However, I’m pretty certain he didn’t say the vaccine causes the virus to mutate nor did he suggest it.
Viruses mutate/adapt to survive all by themselves. When it runs out of hosts to infect/propagate it “disappears.” It’s pretty simple, in that regard. They mutate in vaccinated, as well as, unvaccinated hosts. One’s vaccination status is irrelevant to the natural order of virus evolution, imo.
I will leave it at that for a 3 AM post after waking up at 2 and can’t go back to sleep. I guess I can do a little work without interruptions…..lol.
Lost my follow up comments on why I never got the flu vaccines. Not sure how it got deleted. Oh well.
Had to do with the nature of viruses, a mismatch of vaccine to current strain of flu, fear porn, and money grab. It was well written, too. Lmao!

___________________________________________________
The reason we drafted Long was to have an all around T.E., one that can be a rec threat as well as a good blocker, Gesicki doesn’t fit that mold. he’s not a good blocker therefore he telegraphs our intentions when he’s in the game.
there’s a reason Gesicki hasn’t had his contract addressed as of yet.
I agree the TE position could be upgraded, but thinking it’s to replace Gesicki and not Smythe or Shaheen is odd to me. I would replacing Gesicki v others would be downgrading the position.
^would think
the problem with gesicki is he gives away our position due to his lack of blocking ability, when he’s in there D’s play pass, which makes it harder to have offensive success. takes the element of surprise away.
he’s in the final year of his 4 year deal, i would assume they would have already tried to renegotiate his contract had they wanted him to stick around.
that speaks for itself.
add that to the fact that they took a T.E. with a top 100 pick in the draft.
i highly doubt gesicki will be a dolphin this time next year.
I highly doubt your doubt
Agree, even so it telegraphs a pass play, so what. No one can really cover him, catches everything thrown to him, high points, and opens up the offense.
Perhaps, Gesicki won’t be back. However, I believe Flores was in NE when Gronk and A hernandez. So there”s that.

————————————————————————————————————————-
WTF is your problem Tim?
i never said part time was a waste of space
and you misquoted, misrepresented my comments on shaheen as well
im correct in what i said about both players, your twisted bullshit is incorrect
do yourself a favor, and speak for yourself, and ill speak for myself
are you not capable of commenting on the Dolphins yourself?
i will not waste my time clarifying those comments, nor any others for You, because you would for sure twist that into something incorrect
TIm, are you so stupid to think that wilson starting 7 games in the last 3 years is my perception?
its wilsons part time STATS, im not responsible for part times lame stats
Gesicki’s presence in the lineup telegraphing plays says more about the OC calling the plays than it does Gesicki as a player and if anyone’s bothered actually watching the games the past season they’ll see that Gesicki is a good blocker and it’s something he’s improved on since he got here. Besides, a TE’s primary function is to catch passes, especially on downs needed for converting for firsts, or in the endzone for scoring. He’s here to move chains and catch touchdowns.
According to this website,
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/mia/2020_splits.htm
We had 732 snaps from shotgun as opposed to 287 under center. I would expect that to telegraph our intentions more than Gesicki in the lineup.
Amen
good points, i hope to see Gesicki back in the lineup soon
Tim, are You one of the editors now? adding comments by editing and misrepresenting?
are you the one that pretended to be me a few days ago, with Your comments on not posting bikini babes, pretending to be Me?
You seriously need to butt out, speak for yourself, under your own name, which BTW < really isnt your real name,
my perception is what you say, and your name, is fake
🐕💩🖕
Yep
got something to say to me phindog ? dont be a tim, grow a pair and speak up
How the fuck did you take 3 emojis and think it was about you ?
i guess it could have been about Tim, right?
just wanted to say that i have not talked of politics, because some said they didnt want to hear it.
its called respect for others.
but i can defend myself against people with fake names, like tim, saying fake shit, like tim,
if phin dog doesnt approve of that, then he needs to talk to Tim and tell him to shut up, because i will always keep it real , even when fakes like tim dont
Was watching some 80s videos yesterday and one of my favorite songs came on, Private Idaho
LOL !!
No grandpawed here
Nice! LOL!
David stop playing the butt hurt card. It gets tiring
Oh and after years of BS I am the law 🐕
The following players can play at least these positions:
Davis can play anywhere, but C
Hunt RG, RT
Kindley RG, LG
Eichenberg LG, RT, LT
Deiter C, LG
Skura C, G
Jackson LT, RT?
They seem to like Eluemunor and Pankey has been getting good reviews in camp, and we drafted Larnel.
I’m sure the FO is just trying to better the OL any chance they get, so they talk to lots of teams about OL and other positions, doing their due diligence.
If they find a trade, that benefits the team they make it, and they did have Wilson and Fluker in, so they could quite possibly be looking for another OT
DIdn’t know Skura could play guard. We have all 4 of the non-center positions covered so long as we have enough bodies. And one more we have some trust in would be good.
Full disclosure … My real name is not Naplesfan.
Sure would be cool if it was.
You big Phony😳
I was wondering why you misspelled nipples.
LOL!
Lol
Here’s the fun fact I was referring to the other day as to one of the reasons I’ve been missing off here.
After 46 years, I put in my notice, finalized everything for a couple months, and officially retired as of June 30.
lol
Congrats!
Got just under 2 years to go, then I’m moving to Naples😉
Congratulations!!
Awesome my man !! I did the same thing last month but now I need to do something to keep me busy. Naps are cool but not very productive. I need a hobby but the ones I want will make me get a full time job again 😳
Way to go Naples. And you don’t even have to move to Florida. 🙂

Jaylon is really good. I said yesterday that the Bears have a good DB group and look forward to see how well they can cover our speed and also see how well Tua does attacking that secondary.
Lol
I am envious Naples
Same here. Congrats Naples!!!
For some reason my mind read “I am envisioning Nipples”
I can’t imagine why.
Re: Chase, That is why I was not high on him in the draft. He was just a piece of a bigger puzzle. He had an accurate and smart gun slinging QB. Two other stand out receivers in Jefferson and Terrace Marshall and arguably the most dynamic RB in college football on that same dream team. Opting out last year was the smartest thing he could have done after everyone else left for the draft and only one returning was Marshall.
Do I think he is a very good receiver? Hell yeah but think he was hyped into a top 10 pick. IMO
I think Terrace Marshall may have the better rookie season between the 2.
Wonder why they are staying so quiet about Hunter Long?
It’s what they do. Belicheat doesn’t like to give anyone any info he doesn’t have to, until he has to

*****
Long, who lead the ncaa in receptions for a tight end, isn’t exactly the all around TE you are making him out to be.
I’m pretty sure the reason the Dolphins drafted Long was to add another receiving threat – I don’t think there is a concern that a receiving TE telegraphs a passing play.
It’s true that Gesicki is like another receiver out there and that Long may be a little more versatile bc in 2019 he played in a run heavy BC team – but Long wasn’t really known as a blocking TE at BC as far as I know. More like a great receiver who played in run heavy offenses before.
I don’t think the Dolphins have the same vision of our offense as you have.
He thinks we’re running Vince Lombardi’s offense
I can practically smell the leather helmet on his post
I’m sorta with ORob on this. Way I saw Long was a guy who could both pass and block on running downs and be involved in 2 TE sets. No doubt what Gesicki is there for.
Congrats Naples
Retirement party time!
That is some funny shit right there. 😆
Cuomo to resign
That was only a matter of time. Not cause of what he did but cause his top end political support had faded away. Like when Nixon was told by the Republican leaders of the Senate they would vote to convict on impeachment.
Once the AG said the accusations were credible after their investigation – he was toast
He was toast as to a re-election and his political career, but many a politician has finished out a term after some pretty bad stuff came out.

They used the cart on a knee injury and some surgery is happening. And is Long a guy we’d use an early return IR designation on? Early reports would have to be wrong for him to be back, especially since he’s a rook with stuff to learn still.
Originally I heard knee, now seems like leg injury
👍👍

Stay away from the south side men!

Well, the 1.2 trillion infrastructure bill passed the Senate today. (The Bi-partisan one, wait what!?)
Glad I will be dead already when that bill comes due….
Big fan of that bill and loved that it was spearheaded by Democratic and Republican Senators working together. Shows to me maybe they can get stuff done in the normal way.
Cause of that a lot cheaper than at first proposed and they at least say is revenue neutral. Others say no it isn’t, but there is no doubt they were pulling existing billions out of ever nook and cranny they could to help pay for it.
Either way, not over yet. House has already said will use as a political hostage unless the much larger non-infrastructure infrastructure bill is passed.
Why are you OK with a bill that is 90% fluff? One that swampy politicians get fat on from kickbacks
How Stanger sees biden
👼
steve — cause it it is not 90% “fluff” unless you count bridges and roads in an infrastructure as that. Like the last time brought up and you said price tag is 3 trillion dollars…. it is one trillion. Do you have your bills confused? I am not in favor of the 3 trillion Democrat bill if that helps.
And McConnell supports this bill and 19 GOP senators voted for it. Not just about Biden.

A what?
A duck.
Does it quack?
No, it Waddles
If we don’t like Eich for RT, then just put Hunt back at RT and let Eich and Kindley play OG
There’s a retarded article out saying we’re looking for a starting RT and here’s 9 that would work.
Most of which are worse than what we have
it’s not a 1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill, only 100 billion goes to infrastructure, the rest goes to left wing wasteful spending
Ted Cruz is just upset the bill doesn’t include a ticket to Cancun for him
No politics. Go back to your Tua bashing 😉
Can’t blame ORob for that. Rock started and I and steve jumped in.
Orob — you consider Road safety, Passenger and freight rail, Water infrastructure, Clean water, Environmental clean-up and Power infrastructure spending wasteful?
Don’t go down the rabbit hole 🐰
You really think there’s no fluff in this bill?
More fluff than infrastructure
Just read a dem slanted article that says 550b toward infrastructure, they aren’t even trying to hide it.
And that’s just what they’re putting in the bill, let’s see howbthey actually spend the money.
Obama had 1b for infrastructure and he only used 10% on infrastructure the rest went to his programs
steve — please point out where said there was no fluff in the bill. Would be shocked if there isn’t. Only disagreed when you said was 90% fluff. For a simple reason…. it isn’t.
First I’m hearing you say there’s fluff, was under the impression you didn’t think there was.
There’s a dem outlet saying there’s more than 50% fluff, the ones I read from the other side say as much as 90%, probably somewhere in the middle.
Even at 50% why are you a big fan of the bill?
We’re back to swampy politics from some on the right, that’s a reason it’s bipartisan, others think they need to pass something and it’s better than the 3t bill biden wants
From the dem side guess they don’t consider “clean energy” or GND stuff to be fluff
steve — what I write is what I write and try to be careful with my words. Upstream for you to see. How did you get that impression?
And seems what is fluff or not is pretty darn subjective, but even at your 50% am a big fan of the bill. As are the 19 GOP Senators who voted for it. And see infrastructure as different than those Covid checks both Trump and Biden sent out. An investment in the future.
Fucking Stanger 😆
I knew you were one of the many long before. 🙂
Wow Andrew Cuomo resigned. I never thought he would because he’s so arrogant.
Just goes to show you what can happen, when the powerful people that used to be on your side have no choice, but to cut ties and condemn you to save face
I think any offense benefits from having 2 good TEs. It allows you to do more things and take advantage of more mismatches and disguise things better…especially if those TEs are truly both adept at both phases of the game. No offense to whomever said this but Geisicki is not a good blocker. I’d say he’s okay FOR a catching TE, but not overall. I would say he’s not a liability and that’s a win in the NFL these days. I think he’s been doing exactly what they drafted him to do…and he’s still learning and should get better. I’d hang onto him, if I could. You can get mismatches with him most weeks.
Well, you said that so much better than I could have….cheers.
As an ATX, pseudo UT fan, Sam Ehlinger, local HS QB, is splitting 1st reps for Colts QB.
lol…random, but news to me!
Yeah, I mentioned that after Wentz went down. I think he can win the job. He is a leader and tough as nails.
Agreed on both your descriptions of him.
Some tragic family back story on him….
Congratulations Naples! Happy for ya my man! Enjoy it all
Naples,
Congrats on your retirement, buddy!
Yeah, we really need to look at the fluff in that bill to see where the BS is. Also with these bills they stick other shit in there as well. Sen. Cruz was talking about something that would kill crypto currency. I am not into that shit so have no clue. That is unless they cut it out or whatever.
To politics…..Ted Cruz is a piece of shit. He only cares about himself and doesn’t even stick up for his wife. Total slime in my book….per my 20 years of observing him in TX.
Mrs. K worked with him and for him for an additional 20 years….he is a total scumbag.
You don’t need to look at anything now, except for winning elections by running good candidates
It passed
19 Republican senators voted for it
Most of the stuff you guys call fluff is stuff Democrats want. And that’s the consequences of losing elections. It’s not so hard to generate support from 20 senators, so when the power shifts to a party you don’t like – you kind of have to suck it up.
Democrats aren’t going to pass stuff you want when you aren’t going to vote for them anyway. They are going to pass stuff I want….lol
Instead of running candidates that try to own the libs by making inflammatory statements, run candidates that can actually win independents and moderates

Last I heard she said would not pass the bipartisan bill unless the $3 trillion bill was passed. In news articles today. Did she say something new?
Ya read what I typed… but perhaps there is confusion. Are you saying ya heard that Pelosi will pass the $1T bill on top of and only if the $3T bill passes… for a grand total of $4T?
I may have been misinformed if THAT is the case! WOW. Yeah, I heard she’d shelve the $1T bill and instead try to pass the $3T bill.
I said up above: “Either way, not over yet. House has already said will use as a political hostage unless the much larger non-infrastructure infrastructure bill is passed.” As far as I know nothing has changed on that. And yeah perhaps you have been misinformed. What is in each bill does not match up with the other. Where are you getting your info on this?
So you’re telling me that we’re potentially looking at $4T being spent on ‘infrastructure’, with (low-balling here) 50% filled with pet projects?
That is what Pelosi and the left side of the Dems are shooting for, but Manchin has already said “not at that price at least” and only way they get the big bill done is through reconciliation, which means they need all 5 0 Dem Senators on board. You can google and read some articles about it.
Man, that’s preposterous. I believe you, man… I’m just sayin’, we can’t afford to spend $4T, let alone give either side of the aisle a blank check for (50%, low-balling) $2T.
Pelosi is nucking futs.
Manchin has already said won’t happen. So it won’t. Why worry about it? Was really just a bargaining stance to start with anyhow.
Every Team’s Best & Worst Case Scenario for the 2021 Season
1:31:58 – Miami Dolphins
Click the “Watch on YouTube” link in the window above.
It’s a 2 hour video
But the greatest team on earth is on 1;31;58 and you can just click on that right below the video
Correct, Pigster! That’s why I posted the “1:31:58 – Miami Dolphins” just above the link, bud! 😀
Uh….I missed that part….lol
I’m glad some one is saying it.
Me too!
Congrats, Naples!
Still no updates on Hunter Long’s injury.
I don’t know why we, as a country, have a problem with bringing our nation, supposedly the richest on the planet, to a modern 2030 infrastucture to be the envy of the planet.
We can fly people on dicks to outer space, but can’t fill pot holes. Shameful, imo.
I’m trying to figure out the revisionist history on Obama’s infrastrucure plan that McConell promised would never happen.
I thought the fuzzy math and short memory were afflictions of old fucks like me…guess not. Lmao!
Because both parties are focused on too much other nonsense, including shaming each other. They’re like children in a sandbox.
There are general reasons to limit spending as a whole
It’s taxpayer $ at the end of the day
So where we spend it and how much we spend is always a legit topic if you ask me
I don’t necessarily disagree with your comment
But generally speaking, there are legit reasons why people don’t want to spend more as a whole and also reasons why people don’t want to spend on this topic.
the problem is screaming “socialism” doesn’t really resonate as well as people think
So the tone of politics right now doesn’t invite mature conversations about spending and where we spend
It’s not like this bill has high speed rail or anything – I tend to think the affect will go unnoticed
It’s not just about “socialism” but anti-capitalism. A great disconnect has been created by lots of ignorance.
I agree
We don’t have to a debate about what “ism” it is to make smart decisions in terms of spending
Gesicki being on the field does not tip our hand because we do run when he’s on the field.
Randy, you think he’s only okay for a catching TE? He’s made some amazing catches. He also had the 6th most yards for TEs last year at 13.3 YPCA with 6 TD. I think he’s above average as a receiving TE.
It seems the team wants to see if Gesicki can take it to another level before re-signing him. He may want that option too before signing a middle of the road contract. He’s in a play for pay contract season.
Piggy, a good name for a band would be The Fuckisms.
The Fuckisms
If Gesicki was on another team you’d all be creaming for him. Problem is, he plays for us so you take him for granted
We tend to eat our own here. LOL
Big time!
Some are creaming for him now
I always thought that girls cream and boys jizz. LOL
Here’s a fun little rating game. Who do you think are our best 10 players? I’m thinking about it too. 😉
At the moment or potentially?
I’m doing right now from what we know. No rookies. We have a lot of young players who could change my list this year.
1, Howard
2. Byron Jones
3. Tua (suck it)
4. Wilkins
5. Baker
6. Gesicki
7. Ogbah
8. Raekwon Davis
9. Parker
10. Waddle
I don’t have any OL here, I have to see how this group comes together
I picked waddle based on expectations but I didn’t want to put any newcomers here: Phillips, McKinney, Holland, Albert Wilson, Will Fuller or any one on the OL can easily shoot up this list if they contribute this year

————-
And Manchin wouldn’t sell out if the price is right, via lobbyists and special interests… or peer pressure/threats from his own party? C’mon, Bro, you’re smarter than that (being quite honest, giving you due respect).
Agreed that it was a bargaining stance to start with, but we’re talking about the lunatic Pelosi, who is also under pressure from the youth movement in her own party to over-deliver.
Yes, it’s something to worry about, being the Dems have the White House, the House, and the tie-breaking split in the Senate.
I think(?) I like Joe Manchin… but I don’t trust politicians in general: they can be bought.
X, Jones, Baker, Sanders, Gesicki, Ogbah, Parker, Fuller, McKinney, Wilkins
I forgot about the kicker…lol
Xavien Howard
Jerome Baker
Byron Jones
Emmanuel Ogbah
Benardrick McKinney
DeVante Parker
Christian Wilkins
Mike Gesicki
Jason Sanders
Myles Gaskin
I thought you were a fan of Davis
I am but one season in the league. Davis and Van Ginkel would be my next two.
I also have confidence in Tua to take it to another level just hasn’t happened yet.
I just went by the players as they are now. If I was going by potential, Davis, Waddle and Phillips are on that list

———–
I’ll play, with no rookies… and not necessarily in the order I’m listing them…
1: X
2: Baker
3: AVG
4: Tua
5: DeVante (healthy)
6: Byron
7: Wilkins
8: Fuller
9: Gesicki
10: Wilson
If Ogbah can repeat his performance of last season, he belongs on our top-10.
Tua, waddle, Davis, Eichenberg, Jackson, Hunt, Kindley, Phillips, Holland, Jones (the safety), Iggy
The future is now….lol
Crazy that we have these 11 players from the last 2 drafts
Pretty unbelievable, and our future looks VERY bright.
I think we all are pretty on top of it with a few different views. It wasn’t the only good players we have, just the top 10 as of now. There is plenty of good young players where the future looks bright as well as some vet role players that make us a better team.
IF our O-Line can gel — and as young as the unit is collectively — we could be in for a pleasant surprise this year.
I really like Gaskin and Ahmed, but I feel we lack a true game-changer at the RB position. We’ll see what happens…
Most teams don’t have that true game-changer at the RB position. There aren’t many of them.
Gaskin 3rd year drafted under the Flores regime 7th round in 2019 and Ahmed 2nd year signed as UDFA both from the same school – Washington. They both have similar builds in that 5-10 200 range. Gaskin seems to be tougher between the tackles and Ahmed quicker and faster, but both can run and catch. Pass pro is key for both of them. They seem to be a fit for the offense we’re building around Tua. Then you add Brown, Scarlett and Doaks as the bigger more physical backs. Not to leave Laird out, but he’s kind of a tweener receiver and STs guy. Not sure if he fits, but maybe he does.
I suppose what I’m getting at is this: if our O-Line rocks, we don’t need to pay a RB $10M/year. I’m really liking Gaskin and Ahmed, but their success is contingent upon the success of our O-Line.
It would be GRAND if our O-Line is so great that we can plug any RB behind it and expect spectacular results.
By the way, RIP to Alex Gibbs, who passed away last month.
We’ve got two players on our team who ALWAYS get more yardage than the average man could get. They FIGHT HARD for every single inch they can get: Myles Gaskin and Albert Wilson.
^
I don’t see any game changers at RB….lol.
You DO realize that you’re approaching troll-level posts, right? If not, I’m here to tell you that you are.
Rationale: we had the #22 rushing-Offense last season.
Please try to pay attention in the future, and realize that if our O-Line becomes great, so can Gaskin and Ahmed.
If I read you the wrong way, my apologies. But that ‘lol’ seemed to be a stab at me, being I said I don’t see any game-changing RBs on our roster.
To mf13ss,
Seriously with the troll comments…..ok, i’m your troll. Deal with it.
Every time you say or put some stupid shit out there, I will “troll” you…lol….like I do with anyone.
WTF, you’re the scientist…lmao.
In general or on our team?
At RB…..no game changers. You see it?
M13, agreed on the OL. If they can do their job where it’s solid – they don’t have to be dominant, this offense will make plays and score points.
One thing we know for sure, we’re building around a lot of young players and that has been Grier and Flores’ approach from day one. They know it’s on them. That’s the job.
This season should be fun, there is so much new that we really don’t know yet. LOL
100% agreed, Bro!
The Dolphin game changers will be the aerial aspect of this offense with help from the OL and a better scheme, imo.
Just don’t see the run game as a strength…..show me.
I think our rushing and screen game from the backs will be productive this year because of the speed in the receiving game. We all know it’s about staying healthy but on paper – Parker, Fuller, Wilson, Waddle and Gesicki is not an easy cover. Stack the box and take your chances in man coverage, opponents will have a difficult time matching up. Then the quick twitch backs Gaskin and Ahmed tear you up both rushing and receiving. 🙂
I think that’s the plan from Flores and his coaches. RPO with Tua but also morph into a power rush team when needed. The multiple, it’s not just on defense.
Ok…lots of thoughts on that, but bottom line our go to, unfortunately, short and 3rd and 4th should be money. Is it with a run play?
We shall see.
Krishna, Flores doesn’t coach stats, he wants to win. He cut his teeth winning in NE. If a player or two has a great year, fantastic!!! But he’s coaching winning as a team in all three phases. That’s what I’m seeing so far.
Tua is the key though this year. QB always is.
TK, I agree, he knows how to win. He participated and was instrumental in developing a dynasty. I hate saying that he did that for NE.
Let him do his thing…..we’re watching you Flores. For me, I like what I see and the progress.
Remember this, Benardrick McKinney is playing for a big payday too. We’ve got a few guys doing that. This season will tell us what this team is now and in the future.
This 17 game season is new. We could start off 5-4 and finish 7-1. Not impossible. We don’t know what this team is yet.
I think the OL is key as many have said.
I’ll just say this… Gaskin seems like a guy who will be productive, he always has been when given the opportunity.
The OL is key to the extent Tua can perform. It starts up front, imo.
Last year went 10-6. 6-3 with Tua as a starter and 4-3 with Fitz. The OL struggled a lot of the time. We lacked speed. Uh-hem!
Uh-hem….I would submit our D and ST deserve more of the credit for that record.
I know you know there are 3 phases of this game…2 out of 3 ain’t bad…..lol.
Forget about defense and special teams, forget our fast wr’s.
maybe a great run game may help.
This season will come down to the QB play, that will determine the success or lack thereof, it his Flores 3rd year with the team, no coach in recent memory has lasted more than 4 years.
after watching Tua get stymied last year with the defensive rush blocking him from getting the ball to his rec, (see the 3 sub 100 yard passing games) not sure how you fix that?
opposing DC’s know this.
they will crowd the rec’s and make Tua spend time waiting for a rec to get open so their rush can get up field to block Tua’s throwing motion.
he’s too short and to add to that his release is too low, he can’t throw the ball over the people in front of him.
I know, let’s get back to politics
I feel like these Tua criticisms are just angle to get a date with Joy Taylor
I think every team has weaknesses and maybe the run game will be ours. As long as Flores can work around the weaknesses, we should be ok. The players say the co-OCs are working around what they have so let’s see how it goes. Brady’s Bucs had weaknesses and they really were fortunate to win. GB should have beat them. KC lost their OL at the perfect time. Tom had some rough games. They pulled it all together though even with their weaknesses. Lots of talented teams but only one can win.
It’s not just that we don’t have any game breaking RBs
It’s that our OL was bad in the run game last year
But this unit has plenty of upside to make a dramatic 180
Plenty of upside to get better, but 180 is a little much
One problem I have with a dominant RB is teams force it with said back too much.
It’s great when things are rolling like we saw with Ajayi, but 10-6 and now 11-6 seem to be the result.
Titans are a good example of this.
With that said, if we can get a little more consistency running the ball, we can use it to keep teams honest, then pass as we want without teams pulling their ears back rushing Tua.
Saw a stat yesterday some maroon put out there about Tua when pressured, it wasn’t good, but that was last year and most QBs do a lot worse under pressure, so it really wasn’t a news flash.
We play 3 phase football with good and not great players, that stay focused, and use the scheme to put guys in position to succeed, and have the ability to win high scoring games as much as low scoring
I guess first round of cuts should be Tua, Wilson and Shaheen. lol
Looking at the lists of our top 10 players was really depressing
Guess we’re really thin at the top, more than I thought
Good thing our system isn’t based on having a trio of stars
Look at KC with Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, and Chris Jones at the top and it makes me cringe
Buffalo and some other teams do the same
Joe Schad
@schadjoe
I spoke with one source who said Dolphins TE Hunter Long’s injury is not believed to be season-ending. So it does sound as if it may not be as bad as appeared when Long was carted off with a lower-body injury Sunday.

Good. Let him take his time to recover and maybe we will see him get some playing time by November or December so we can get an idea of what we have
Rob, you’re too focused on last season, Tua’s rookie season, one with no training camp or preseason. Can you wait until he plays this season and we see how he looks?
can you help me with posting that record player? i don’t know how to do that.
Well i’m running down the road try’n to loosen my load….i’ve got seven woman on my mind.
four that want to sue me….two that wouldn’t do me…one hopes i do major time.
Andrew Cuomo’s new hit song
Lol
I have more the 7 women on my mind
No shame in that
The problem is shitting where you eat at the workplace
Also, here’s one for Matt Gaetz
so if he shit on other woman that are not in his workplace….. that’s ok?
No. You know That’s not what I said
If you want to be a dick, be a dick on your own
This conversation is over
The Gaetz stuff started in a flurry but then not too much at all. Wonder what the pause is about. Could be can’t be proven or could be has turned actual criminal. Funny how the pause means each extreme more likely .
It would appear you’ve narrowed down his problem, what else is one to assume with that statement?

ORob — guess it could be that as well, but some of the info that came out about Gaetz least wasn’t warm and fuzzy. Seems criminal or not depends on the ages of some of the girls. Nothing illegal about paying the expenses of a young woman on a fun vacation even if questionable.
Feel no need to put out a music video…. and not sure why you encouraged me to do that.
half the reply was to you, the music video was directed at my good friend piggy
The OL will be a big reason we have success running the ball and why think they moved Hunt to RG, but even bigger reason will be the affect the receivers and Tua have.
Think Gaskin and Ahmed are mostly who we saw last year, with Brown and Doaks being the newcomers, we don’t know yet what to expect.
Flores has mentioned the speed at WR will help the run game.
Running the ball is a team thing, at least it is with our stable of backs, it will only be as good as the team allows it to be, we aren’t going to see someone breakout to make it substantially better.
One of our backs may have great numbers, but it will be the result of the team effort
My main reason is that box will not be stuffed except in short yardage situations. Makes a huge difference. Waddle starts moving around and people will be following.
Yeah, that’s the hope, but going to be a collective effort.
Just keep them honest, Buffalo didn’t worry about the run
Drink diet Mountain Dew and drink beer. Maybe only need to drink one thing starting in early 2022.
———————-
“Boston Beer Company is adding another drink to its portfolio, a spiked version of Mountain Dew.
On Tuesday, the company announced its partnership with PepsiCo to deliver HARD MTN DEW, with 5 percent alcohol. The boozy beverage will come in three flavors: original, black cherry and watermelon, and is expected to hit shelves in early 2022.”
Sounds great, but too much sugar
Forget the Hard Mt Dew. You should try Double Dew. It has twice the sugar and caffeine of regular Mt Dew. And if that is a little too much for you, try new Diet Double Dew, it only has half the sugar and caffeine of Double Dew!
Been drinking Double Dew for years, even if in the diet version. Get it shipped in from SouthPark. 🙂

If you were a smarter person, you would be able to assume a lot more than what you did
I cant speak to your capacity, but it is consistently lesser than others, and your assumptions about what another person meant are a reflection of your stupidity rather than what that person actually meant
This is a you problem ORob
Don’t ask me to explain how not to be a narrow minded jerk – you need to work on that on your own time
Don’t need a flame war…. goes to him as well.

Clueless is telling people that Trump would be President August
You really knocked that one out of the park

Matt Gaetz was implicated in soliciting underage women for sex after his associate Joel Greenberg plead guilty to trafficking and admitted providing those women to his associates
You can read Greenberg’s guilty plea here
It doesn’t exactly fit the mold of a political witch-hunt
It most certainly does as far as Gaetz goes.
They’ve been trying to frame him on shit for a while now, just like they did with Trump.
You go against the left and they use whatever means they have to take you down.
100% witchhunt
No one is saying Andrew Coumo was framed. Why do you assume that’s what they are trying to do to Gaetz?
This isn’t a new story, and not an assumption, it’s from Gaetz he’s said reasons why they’re trying to frame him on FoxNews
Cuomo was like AL Capone, who killed people, but was brought down on something else he did that wasn’t as serious
Didn’t know Gaetz had said did nothing wrong. If a politician accused of doing something says he didn’t what better proof is there? That federal prosecutors started looking into under the Trump administration is obviously a witch hunt at that point. Wish had your certainty in life at times.
I guess I’m the only one in the world that thinks that slide is dumb, lol.
I’d ride it with Sami! 🙂
No, I was like WTF also. Why a f-ing slide? Where’s the swings and teeter totter?
