It’s always a great day/game when I send my Pats friend home with a loss ESPECIALLY when a NE home game
MANITOBA–Hit him in the nuts with a hockey stick for me, will ya??
X already did. lol
M13, it was this:
TM is genius in his word play but he went further with his new album cover. The name is “US AGAINST THE WORLD”. If you look at the “US”, it’s written in a way that it looks like the # 45. As in, you know who against the world. lol
https://www.hangovergang.com
WOW! Nice notice, as I see it too, only that you mentioned it!!!
To be quite honest, I wouldn’t be caught dead in any of this attire for sale! LOL
Mac Jones did all the things you want from a QB. He saw the field, recognized pressure, had an almost uncanny sense of the rush and saw the field so well, and threw an accurate pass almost every time. It was shocking to me how composed he was. Truth is we didn’t rattle him much because our pass rush was toothless this week. That doesn’t mean the Patriots are better, but if Jones plays like this all season they are going to be a tough out. I think we can much better than we were today so that’s the upside.
I am sure if our resident SEC expert, D, were to chime in. He would probably say he was not surprised by Mac Jones’ composure.
True but for the most part the Pats were dinking and dunking all day. They hardly went down the field and I can’t remember them throwing in X’s direction once
Nope didn’t do it!

My only retort to your nonretort. Stop living in the past!!!!!! Lol…
————
I am not living in the past. I simply understand why some fanatics get frustrated, even if I disagree with them. It’s a new day under Coach Flores, IMO, and I believe our future looks very bright, Dr. Giggles. LOL
We embrace ALL Miami Dolphins fans… those who are glass half-full, and those who are half-empty. So long as one loves our Phins, HELL YEAH!!!
If you are comparing last year’s Tua to this year’s Tua, if you are comparing last year’s team to this year. You used a 2008 reference. WTF?
This is living in the past. So much for my understanding….lol.
I said I “understood” those who are glass half-empty. I also said I didn’t agree with those who are glass half-empty.
Do you understand my understanding of those who don’t understand that which I understand?!! LOL
Seriously, I’m a glass half-full fan today.
I know I’m complicated, but I’m not THAT complicated. I simply understand, yet don’t agree.
What does 2008 have to do with anything? I’m baffled and let’s end this semantic whatever the fuck you said.
Last I checked it was 2021.
You know they only scored one TD today and it was after we stopped them on 3rd down and they got a bogus call
They were only 1 for 4 in redzone TD efficiency with a TO.
I had to delete my last post…..lol.
Agreed and was aware.
We are #1 in the AFC East
We are the only undefeated team in the AFC East
We have the #1 defense in the AFC East
We have the #1 offense in the AFC East
Total domination

Obligatory post of undiluted optimism and positivity brought to you by Kong 😂😂 😉
LMAO……you have gone ape shit! Love it!
😎
Ken – he wasn’t throwing screens, he was throwing a ton of first downs. I have to say he was great. Even when we were about on top if him he made the right throw, didn’t panic and got the first down. I was so mad Tua made that throw that got picked, it was desperate and dangerous. He should have got rid of it, threw it away.
But was not going down the field either. No doubt he made some nice plays but the way he was playing was not going to lead to a lot of points and they were not going to score quickly. Conversely we got chunk plays against a good D. Yes that was a bad decision by Tua on that one throw although it should have been caught
Ken, one of the TEs caught a pass against Howard late in the game. I honestly think it was the only time he was targeted all game.
I wouldn’t be surprised if an element of the Pets gameplan was to identify pre-snap who Howard was on, and to disregard that route or area, i.e. avoid throwing his direction by design.
and he still got his T/O
I absolutely think they were actively avoiding having a rookie throw X’s way.
If frogs had wings!
It would be harder to eat frog legs
Yep….lol!
They would be a lot smaller! 😉
It’s bad enough I have to share the skies with birds
You ever see Dan the Man throw a dumb shit pass?
I have!
Tua will be just fine!
^
Giants QB Daniel Jones throws 22-37 and records 294 total yards and two total touchdowns in New York’s loss to the Broncos
—————————————————–
His team lost!
That’s the story!
Ok, never mind. We can’t be objective so I’ll just drop it.
I can be objective!
To say we need to play better in about 3 phases of the game, I’d buy that!
To say we sucked and got lucky?
That I’m not buying!!!!!
I never said we sucked and got lucky. Not even close to that
I agree with you. Jones was extremely composed. There were numerous plays we were half a step away from making a play in the backfield and he stood in there, made the right read with pressure bearing down, and made the throw. He handled our blitzes very well.
It was a lot of short stuff because that is what we were giving them, but he had a few downfield passes, and that throw to the RB on 3rd down was a beauty and a killer. I was sure we had them that 3rd down. I think even with the loss, the Pets and their fans have to be very optimistic about what they saw from Jones.
As Ken said, we’ll see once there is some tape on what he does well and what he struggles with, how he adjusts to defenses adjusting to him. But he did not look anything like a rookie in his first start to me.
Wyo, Patriots didn’t lose because of Mac Jones, that much is absolute. I’m happy we won, I can also see that Mac Jones played really well today, not just for a rookie, he played well period.
TUA 185 YaRDS passing 16-27-1 PICK
TEAM RUSHING 74 YARDS
We were lucky to get that win, they out rushed us, out passed us.
they killed us in time of possession 23:17 to 36:43
just goes to show how important winning the turn over battle is.
You just said we were lucky! LMAO
I didn’t feel stressed, I actually felt really good about running the clock when we got the TO!
yeah, that was a nice pass to parker on that slant, put us in a great position to run the clock out
Whoops my bad! thought that was Mike E’s thread
He was over 200 yards passing and was responsible for both TDs we scored
https://www.espn.com/nfl/matchup?gameId=401326313
That is subtracting sack yardage. He is officially credited for over 200 yards passing. Nice cherry picking though
And NE was unlucky to get that loss….lmao!
I can say Mac played well! He did!
I was impressed with his poise!
To be quite honest, I wouldn’t be caught dead in any of this attire for sale! LOL
——————————-
yeah, not my thing lol
I do think Matt Jones play well but I am not ready to anoint him the second coming of Brady after one start that he didn’t win. For all the good things he didn’t do in particular get the ball in end zone
who’s matt jones?
i really like the qb sneak with brissett, bread and butter. we’ve needed that play for years.
Yeah, they waived to Belichick and told him what the play was and they still couldn’t stop it….lmao.
Great play and use of personnel!
^waved
Several times….lmao. Guess he wasn’t waving back!
sprinkling in the wildcat was also great
I hope it made Belicheat and the fans get kind of queasy seeing us run 3 or 4 effective WC plays, lol.
If you are a QB and two of your receivers have clean chances on a ball before a defender catches it…… was it really an INT?
YES! it’s a pick and it is the QBs fault
Technically you are correct so you win…lmao
Shhhh….it ruins the narrative.
It should not be considered theQBs fault/ minus stat, but it still is an INT
Geez….and I thought I was the curmudgeon. Great divisional road win! Far from perfect, but I’ll take it. Interior OL actually played fairly well. Our Tackles did not. Tua was efficient. Tried to throw it away but didn’t quite do it. Other than that, I thought he was fine. I still think he puts too much air under his deep balls, but he still completes some. Parker looks more explosive than he did last year…maybe he’s healthy. With missing Raekwon for most of the game and having a short rotation, I thought the defense faired pretty good. Jones was great at beating pressure, but we need to find more of it. NE is a good team. We beat them at home on opening day when it seems home teams always win.
Lol at OD talking to us like we’ve never heard of the heat advantage in Miami 🤪
why did we have a ready austin jackson on the sideline and eichenberg at LT?
Tua – 2
Patriots – 0
👍👍 Tua thumbs up
Shhhh…..doesn’t count.
there’s an old saying, when a QB throws a pass, it’s like writing a CK, he’s responsible no matter the circumstances.
3 possible scenarios, every time and two are bad
Yep, but it’s not an old saying, it’s a statistic.
You can evaluate success or failure on stats or on Ws and Ls.
In this case, I don’t give a shit on a bobbled ball for an interception. I care about the win.
Focusing on baby bullshit is just being a baby….lol
To those talking up Jones
Didn’t hear anyone saying 1 good word about Tua’s 350 or so passing yards against the Bills, when Buffalo ripped us a new one last year
When you lose stats don’t mean shit, unless you get similar stats when you win
Maybe the 3 INTs have something to do with that, lol.
Or maybe it’s the difference between throwing out a stat vs saying someone looked good…and Tua didn’t look good in that game. Jones looked good this game. He did enough to take the lead very late in the 4th against a good defense. It was the RB that fumbled.
not to mention Tua threw that ball under duress, it looked like a wounded duck.
he should have taken the sack,
And I’m sure he will hear about it film sessions
overall, i wasn’t very impressed with tua, however i did see improvement over last year.
^
He was “meh”
I said months ago he doesn’t have to be much better, than last year to win, because of better wrs, his knowledge of playbook, his health…that’s what we saw today, not much better passing, but better job of running the O
Not worried though, he just needs to keep progressing
however you cut it, that was a very big win @ NE
Kudos
good night all
Night sir

Last I checked it was 2021.
——————-
You’re becoming a buzz-kill, Krishna. I’m talking about others (NOT ME!) who have cited 2008 and 2016 as one-and-done Wildcard experiments of the past. Yes, some posters here have recently talked about it, DO YOU COMPREHEND?!! Perhaps you don’t read everything that’s posted here? If not, I think your anger is misplaced at ME.
I respectfully disagree with them, yet I can understand their frustrations. Is it really that difficult for another to understand another’s frustrations (maybe been there and done that?), yet disagree?
It’s not semantics, and it’s certainly not about anything the “fuck” I had stated. Get some reading comprehension and get back to me when you wake up after a good night’s sleep.
The vibe was relatively good here until this personal attack from you. The funniest thing of it all? YOU AND I 100% AGREE on our Phins after today!!!
Get some get right, man.
LOL! I killed the blog again!
No, you didn’t, man. I actually care about ya and have reached out in the past to you.
And my buzz keeps expanding! …lol!
It’s not a joke, my man.
one more thing, that call against elandon roberts for roughing the passer was bs.
agree he had no choice/chance to change trajectory
Important thing is Jets lost and tomorrow we get to hear the lamentations of their women on local talk radio
Lmao!
BOOM!
Cav Kong with the LIGHTSABER version! NICE!
End of the night we’re 1-0 in the standings and in the division.
So why can’t we relish it, learn our lessons, and move on?
I’m certainly relishing it, so I’d say we can if we want to.

—————-
That’s what we’re doing, my friend. 🙂
I’m audi for the night.
GO PHINS!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
Going back to the last 4 minutes of the game- our defense, passing offense, and rushing offense all had a hand in sealing the win. We executed in all phases when the game was on the line and it counted.
These are the kinds of games NE has been so good at winning over the years. They have been the ultimate grinders and they won more often by making fewer mistakes than their opponent as the game moved into crunch time.
We weren’t the team with 4 personal fouls. We weren’t the team that fumbled in a crucial moment. Today, we were the team that executed when it counted.
The thing that made the Roberts roughing the passer look bad is he was off-balance, because the OL was grabbing at him to hold, after getting blown the fuck up
That’s Tua out of the last 3 we won in NE
I had to look that up. I can’t believe I already forgot Brady’s last regular season game as a Pet, lol.
We’re starting to feel right at home in Gillette.
Waddle looked great out wide, we should put Waddle and Fuller out wide and Parker in the slot
Big ass dude like Parker, big close target for Tua
Just rewatched the Davis injury replay. Thank you football gods
What’s his status?
I’m going to verify on my rewatch right now, but I’m pretty sure he played in the 2nd half.
I know he came back out to the sideline with a knee brace and was only listed as questionable, not out, so whatever the actual injury, it’s not too serious.
They said he didn’t go back into the game, precautionary measures, but looked like he could have
He was on the sideline wearing a brace
I just read that as well about him not going back in. I thought at some point in the 2nd half the announcers said he was back, but then again they also called Jones Tua, said the Pets would take the lead with a fg they made when they were still down 4, and the Dolphins were out of timeouts, or something like that- so it’s not like they were a paragon of accuracy, lol.
I’m moving into the 2nd quarter now, so I’ll confirm it in the next hour or so. He was on the sideline holding his helmet and they said he was running to show he could go back in, so it looks like he’ll be fine.
The only thing I can figure is even though it looked like his foot was planted and his knee bent sideways, because his foot is partially hidden, we can’t see it actually moved enough to not tear the knee.
Oh yeah, suck on that Van Noy- your redemption game…fail…lol
Green saying Williams was the fastest guy we have until Waddle got here. He really did his homework
Right, lol Also, one point in the game he referred to Mac Jones as Tua.
The one time I’ve seen Howard ‘targeted’ was complete to Meyers, not a TE. It was a quick pass at the line of scrimmage to Meyers who motioned across the formation. Howard was playing off on his primary, his primary went inside, Meyers towards the sideline, and the coverage on Meyers was passed off to Howard on the motion. It gained 3 yds.
I’m on the Pets last drive in the 4th, and Davis hasn’t returned since his injury.
Hope he is ok. We need him against Buffalo. John Jenkins came up big! Next Man up!
We will know more in the Wednesday Injury Report and/or also if they bring up Benito Jones from the PS.
Victory Monday Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!! No Monday morning hangover! On to the Bills. One game at a time.
You know, I feel bad for knocking on Tua a little last night.
The Pats defense is really good on all levels. They were able to apply pressure with their DL and not have to blitz much. Maybe an extra LB rushing here and there. That left 6-7 in coverage most of the game. They were able to take away Gesicki because of that. Parker was great but still can’t get separation against good CB’s except for a quick slant. Pats were also able to tap into a smart former QB, now WR, in Perry.
I think it was obvious they did not tap into the whole playbook as I did not see any jet sweeps that I can recall or many WR screens. We did not utilize Waddle, WIlson, or Grant in that way really. I think Wilson was only targeted once and I don’t think Grant got any.
Leaving out Tua and Brissett. We only ran the ball 17 times with our RB’s. Gaskin averaged 5.4 a carry and, as a whole, our RB group averaged over 4 yards a carry. Not bad.
Not saying we were vanilla in the play calling but we didn’t throw anything at them either.
Also, believe Gesiski and Parker had a drop or two. I was surprised. Then the bobble for the inteception…..if I remember correctly. I thought he had one wtf moment. And, got the 1st down at the end of the game to keep the ball to the end the game. 3 kneel downs for last 2 minutes.
We game planned against NE’s O and D and won in their stadium.
Buffalo is next, time for a new game plan.
Lots to learn and clean up.
It was a team win, for sure, imo.
I saw Davis on the sideline later in the game, looked like he was going to come in, he went to talk to another DL, maybe Jenkins. He was definitely still in uniform, so I’m guessing it’s not a serious injury
it wasnt the Phins greatest game ever, and the shortcomings of our defense almost cost the win, but its a great road win, ill take it happily
Tua got a TD passing, and one rushing, and may have gotten another if the refs didnt call off that free play situation when NE jumped offsides
the INT was not his best decision, but 2 different Dolphins had their hands on it before it was picked off, and Gesicki had hands on it twice before tipping it up to a db
if a receiver can get two hands on a ball, it should be caught
But Tua and the team gets the W, in NE, so all is perfect in the standings
Aside from a few errors in judgement when he was rattled, I thought Tua played really well and looked much better than the whole of last year. That ball was really being fired out there and accurately.
Mac Jones looked really good as well. He wasn’t just dinking and dunking. There were plenty of times where he had guys in his face or people falling on him and he stood there and delivered a strike to the open man.
Our O-line needs work like most of us suspected as our run D. Defensive coverage was suspect most of the game. Getting turnovers saved our team again. Our pass rush was getting to Jones, but we needed that extra half second of coverage to finish with a sack or a hit. There were plenty of times where we had a lot of men in coverage and people were still wide open with Jones finding them right before we got to him.
Jones also had errors under pressure, he fumbled the ball after a sack early on
the dolphins didnt get much pressure on Jones , i would expect MORE pass rush than what we had
where was Phillips?
You need to re-watch the game David.
Waddle had a great debut. Wasn’t expecting such an Impact this early
Next week we get Fuller back
Hopefully we can get Gesicki involved
agreed, im not sure what hap to Gesicki, but we need him back to speed against the bills
Ok, I did as Krishna suggested and took a cool off period. I am really happy we won and NE is tough. Belichick knows how to screw up an opposing game plan and he did. We won in Foxborough and we beat the refs so that’s impressive. We did some good things.
The team still has a lot of offensive issues and I worry about our ability to win except through the defense. That’s not going to get us in the playoffs in an offensive league though. I watched Bosa and Roberts get called for roughing because they didn’t hit in the new batter box. It’s ridiculous but just another sign the NFL will reward offensive play over defensive. Defense may win games once in the playoffs but you’ve got to be able to lean on the offense some games. I hope we do better this week.
The Bills were completely shut down so I hope we can do the same next week. That final game last year showed the flaws in expecting your defense to carry games though. The Bills are our primary thorn and they’ve beat up on us a lot lately. They have a good coach and a lot of great players. Hopefully we find a way to pull it out. I may have to do a Piggy score this week.
Dolphins 65 Bills 0
Pittsburgh also had alot of offensive issues, they looked like crap on offense for most of the first half and ben had a pick and fumble
but the steelers defense was solid all day, and wouldnt let Allen beat them
the key to winning is defense, not offense, even the dolphins defense pulled out the win, when the offense had some struggles
at the end of the day, its NICE to see great offense, no doubt we need better offense, but defense is the key to winning games in the NFL
if you have a play making defense, You have a shot to win, if You dont, u dont
Don’t let other posters dictate that you live in fantasy land simply because they choose to themselves. There’s nothing wrong with recognizing the gravity of the win in Foxborough, while also pointing out shortcomings that will bite us down the road. Coaches will be pointing out the same things we are pointing out during the week in preparation for Buffalo. That’s what adults do. They can see the good and the bad and be objective when speaking on subjects.
Lol, I’ll still be pointing shit out Sunday and I put that score out in jest I’m hoping the game is a back and forth win and I don’t want to judge us too harshly or them after the first week. I think it will be close and I don’t see Tua imploding like last year.
The Bills seem to have our number though. They have won 7 of the last 8. We’ll have to do far better to start going the other way. My best guess is 27-21 with the Bills pulling it out but I wanted to have some ridiculousness this early in the week.
Wilson had a target in the end zone, lol what a great job!
i must admit, trying to stay positive with Wilson is extremely difficult, he just seems totally useless
I said it in my article, Belichick is the master of taking away a certain player, and I said he was going to make sure Gesicki didn’t hurt them, and he succeeded. I knew they would clamp down on Gesicki and take their chances with everyone else. They blanketed him all day. Only way that changes is if someone else really steps up and has a big day.
You were right, but i was hoping u would be wrong, lol
yea, Gesicki was not a big threat as usual
As I perused the summary of games yesterday, almost every match up was described as ugly, ugly game, ugly win, ugly whatever…..
Hmmmmm, I wonder if 1st game of season has anything to do with it?
Jones also had errors under pressure, he fumbled the ball after a sack early on
—————————
We never sacked Jones.
yes we did, he fumbled after being sacked early in the game
we also sacked him later but the refs blew it and called a penalty
He threw it at the feet of his tight end for an incomplete lateral.
thats a different play, im referring to his FUMBLE, not any of his passes
the point was Jones, ALSO made mistakes under pressure
fortunately, for him, his teammate covered the fumble, but the fumble still occurred under pressure
saints beat the packers by 35, lol
things could be alot worse than a win in NE
all i wanted was a W on the road for game one, so im very happy with the W
I know about the penalty one, but when was the other? None of our players have a stat recording a sack. I checked 3 different sites and none have us recording a sack.
thats because the refs stole away BOTH sacks with bullshit calls
but, the point was Jones, made mistakes under pressure also
he just rarely had any pressure, SMH
Not one person said he didn’t make ANY mistakes under pressure. You’re arguing a strawmen and you’re not even providing support.
I understand what you are getting at. He didn’t play a perfect game, but for his first game in the NFL against a division rival, anyone would take his performance yesterday.
BBMike and SB
I am pretty sure we sacked him and he fumbled early in the game. The patriots recovered but I remember hearing Wilkins get credit for half a sack
We also sacked him later but it didn’t count bc of the roughing penalty
yes, thats the play i was talking about
ESPN has Mac Jones being sacked once for 13 yards but doesn’t have any of our defenders getting a sack….wtf
Not sure how they score this one
This is why I might have difficulty watching this year. Bosa had a very similar sack that turned into a free first down and made that game closer when the Redskins backup was playing. I hate when refs decide games and it will happen a lot this year.
before the game i was mentioning a couple times if the FIns can pressure Jones, he will make mistakes
but we seldom could get any pressure, wtf happenned to our pass rush? it was terrible
i watched the steelers chase down ALLen all day, and even when they couldnt get to Allen, they knocked down a half dozen passes
that is what i hope to see from Miamis defense, MORE PRESSURE on the QB
Once again, you need to re-watch the game.
no, i dont, the dolphins did NOT pressure Jones enough, i dont need to see that again
You do if you didn’t see us get pressure on him.
i watched Miamis game twice, and the steelers game once
guess how the steelers won? they pressured Allen, and took him off his game, i feel that is what the Dolphins need to do to beat Buffalo
that is not what we did, we had a shitty pass rush for the most part, that will not stop Allen, he HAS to be pressured
once again, you are wrong to start arguments over nothing, IMO
its not about Me watching games, or You either
the Dolphins did NOT pressure Jones enough, You should watch the steelers highlights if you want to see what i consider adequate pressure on a qb
SB 7, IF You somehow think the Dolphins had excellent pressure, You should say so, and give examples to back it up
telling me to rewatch the game, doesnt do anything to validate Your opinion the dolphins had great pass pressure, when they clearly didnt
The examples are in the game film that I told you to re-watch and I gave a summary of what happened in my original post. The game film backs up what I said, if you want to ignore it, then go right ahead.
We didn’t sack Jones, we just missed sacks numerous times, and Jones looked like a pro calmly standing in the pocket and delivering strikes. Seemed almost every time just missed getting to him he made us pay. He got hit a bunch, but we were always a step late.
Exactly, which is what I stated in my original post. The pressure was there, but the coverage to compliment it wasn’t.
Mike said it seems we were a step late
thats about right,
but step late isnt adequate, and isnt how the steelers beat the Allen led bills
the steelers showed us how to beat the bills, pressuring Allen is key
David,
It doesn’t matter what you call adequate pressure. Pressure isn’t subjective. And I’m not going to watch a game that didn’t have anything to do with our game. This is a Dolphins board. We are discussing what happened in our teams’ game. If you didn’t see the pressure after watching the game twice, then no one here can help you see what was in front of your face.
You keep making the pass rush about Me, when it clearly is not
MY idea of adequate pressure would include several more sacks, one INT or more, and alot of hurries to mess up the play
the example i gave was the steelers game, the dolphins did not do what the steelers did,
I witnessed Jones dismantle our defense, and he had too much time to do it IMO
If you feel the Dolphins rush was adequate, then we have to disagree on this, rewatching it, doesnt change the fact we have to agree to disagree
From the PatsPulpit:
“Frustrating loss: The Dolphins won the opener in a fashion that the Patriots used to. New England outplayed Miami, and while it feels like they should’ve won by 10, they lost. The offense moved the ball up and down the field, but were only able to score 16 points. The Dolphins certainly didn’t play great, but they forced two turnovers, one of them in the closing minutes, and that was enough for the visitor to hold on. It was one of those games that leaves you shaking your head wondering how you possibly lost, which is exactly what the Patriots did for 20 years. You just can’t make a habit out of it.”
We have been saying for years “NE shouldn’t have won that game.” Now it’s Miami’s turn. Lots of things things to clean up, but that’s true after the first game any year. Difference this year is that Miami made the fewest mistakes and were solid when they needed to be. They played a better game against a division rival on the road.
Causing turnovers and having few penalties is a huge advantage
100 %. This is the kind of game we have found ways of losing for years. Except this time we won on the road in New England.
Agree completely….just breathe…lol!
In a way, a “frustrating loss” for the Pats seems better than if we were to beat them by 2 scores. lol
Going back to your comment yesterday, “HA…JUST HA!”
What a bunch of horse shit from a Boston reporter, shocking huh
If you can’t put the ball in the endzone, doesn’t matter too much how many times you go up and down the field
Bellicheck may have taken away Gisecki but the difference this year is we have Waddle and a healthy Parker. Bellicheck could not take away all our weapons
Wait until we work Fuller in
👍😃
I think the big gap in communication here is the interpretation of pressure. Pressure is when you get near the QB, he has to either move to avoid the rush or get rid of the ball to not get sacked. We did that all day. Sacks are sacks, two different things.
There we’re tow plays that could have been easily scored as sacks and may not have been
Lol….you know those don’t count in the rules. Just stop it!
They need to clean this stuff up
Looks like Kindley got the right call and Hunt got it wrong.
Imagine if we beat a Buffalo nest week a home and we send them to 0-2 and we are 2-0
That is possible now. I love tHat we escaped New England with a win and have a lot to work on. Let’s go Dolphins
It’s not good enough Piggy
This is to funny not to share!
LMAO!
That is the best. Too funny 😂
Ken – That’s exactly what I said. It’s not a foolproof game plan. BB always takes out the player he feels is most dangerous and won’t allow that player to beat them. It’s up to someone else or a few someones to step up and make him pay for that.
Agree and I was just making the point in years past we didn’t have as many weapons but we have more now
I think our defensive game plan was focused on not necessarily pressuring Jones but stopping the run and taking away anything down the field. It is hard to get consistent pressure in that scenario. I think we wanted to force the Patriots into 10 to 12 play drives and hopefully create opportunities where the Pats would make mistakes. We did some blitzes but not as much as we were doing last year
That did seem to be the game plan as almost everything Jones hit was underneath. His longest pass was to a RB being covered by a LB. It was a perfect throw to White just over Baker.
That and one throw down the middle to Agholor that was contested by Jones were about the only times I remember Jones trying to go down the field
Yeah, that was the second longest completion.
I feel really bad for Ryan Fitzpatrick. This was going to probably be his last big shot and now going to be out a couple weeks with a hip injury.
Agree
I thought Jenkins did a great job subbing for Davis. I thought Van Ginkel looked lost yesterday especially when he was exposed in coverage.
I did see one time where I thought he got picked but not really looking back at it. We were trying to keep them doing anything deep which we did. Though, their game plan seemed to be running a lot of rub routes underneath where the defender had to run around the other route and lose coverage a bit. It worked well for them but our secondary also did a great job tackling and not giving up much YAC.
I thought Jones played really well in the secondary. I was worried because Agholor ate him alive in Vegas last year. Agholor got his catches but they were all contested and kept everything in front of him and as you said little YAC
Victory Monday!!
Jones 1st drive he fumbled when he threw a backwards pass at the ground under pressure. They called it incomplete at first, then changed it to a fumble. It was actually the one time he looked like he didn’t know what he was doing, but he settled down after that.
It was gratifying to read what Phel posted from the Pats Pulpit. Exactly what I said yesterday, the Pets have been winning these games for two decades, and for the past season+ we’ve been winning them, including now against the master.
I’m done breaking this game down, it’s on to the Bills. We get Fuller back this week, and this is a measuring stick game. Their offense ate us up both games last season, especially game 2, and they are going to be angry and looking to bounce back knowing they don’t want to go down 2 games in the division. Time to see what’s what.
1-0 Baby!!
Well this makes me feel better!
It looked horrible live!

I didn’t see a lot of missed tackles yesterday, did you?
Low penalties and finishing plays – that’s a good way to win
Not many at all
At the end of the season, this is all that will matter!

Stop funny that 17 points was the high score in the division yesterday
We also gave up the least 16
👍😃
Domination lol
I wound up calling the score of the Bill’s game in Howie’s list. LOL
This is a great catch but this works bc of the ball placement
We can do this with Parker all day against anyone
That was a beautiful throw and catch
I am not being very productive this morning
Me either!
Although it’s raining it’s ass off right now!
From what I saw on the int, Tua was trying to throw it out of bounds but was hit as he was throwing and lost velocity on the ball and it stayed inbounds causing the int. He was not looking at any receiver.
Agree
Yeah, he said as much in his post game interview, while laughing about it
Humor = tragedy + time
Shit man, I didn’t see his post game interview, I was partying after the game and then carried it over to the neighbors house 😎👍
If you want to take someone away, I’m fine with it being Gesicki, especially in a contract year
But Gesicki looked soft yesterday, he needs to muscle up these guys covering him and play to his size
Belicheat kept the score close, but taking away one of our weapons was meh
He was only on the field for 21 snaps
Can’t really expect some guys to come out game 1 firing on all cylinders with not a lot of guts playing extended PS minutes
Very true
I’m glad Waddle got his 1st TD in his 1st game on the road against a divisional rival. He’s going to be good for us.
I was very happy in what I saw from him. He did have a big drop on a 3rd down play but overall he really produced and he was a big part of the game plan
Way to show your ignorance

Jackson was getting away with a lot of contact
He would have been called for PI had a ball not been tipped
And basically he couldn’t cover Parker and it was obvious
Glad you posted the video on the sack negated by penalty. He clearly hit above the knee. Almost mid thigh. From a rules site:
Hitting Too Low
One of the NFL’s rules is often called The Brady Rule as it was added after a season-ending injury to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in 2008.
This rules states that a defensive player who hits a quarterback below the knees when one or two feet are on the ground will be penalized for a personal foul and a 15-yard penalty.
The hit must be above the knee to be legal. This penalty is often called on pass rushers who are blocked to the ground, but they continue to scramble toward quarterback and end up hitting him below the knee, exposing him to serious injury.
I hate that these fux can throw a bs penalty like they did yesterday and it not be subjected to replay
When was the last time we played the cheats and they didn’t get a bs penalty at the most opportune time?
Don’t remember the last time I watched one of their games against anyone, that this didn’t happen
Can we expect Jackson back at LT and Eichenberg at RT this week?
I would like to see that
That’s the future IMO
First drive was so smooth, but then everything there after was pretty much a struggle on O
Would like to see weapons moved around, happened some yesterday, but find the right weekly matchups, then take advantage of them in the 2nd halves
Waddle looked great out wide, Parker inside running a slant should be our bread and butter, then move him out wide and throw the deep sideline
Gaskin looked good as did Ahmed and even Brown, just keep mixing and matching until you find what you want
Brissett was huge on short yardage, none bigger than our last 1st down
Once the OL gets settled, and I believe it will by mid-season we’ll be able to run a smoother O, giving Tua some of the luxuries Mac had
Yes, your versatility won’t necessarily show up each week during the game, but it will from week to week as was suggested in the article
— On defense, cornerbacks Byron Jones and Xavien Howard were the only two players to play all 75 snaps, while Jason McCourty and Jerome Baker were off the field for only one snap.
Biggest takeaway for me is that we seem to be a resilient, gritty team that finds a way to win a lot of close games. Run defense wasn’t up to par, especially between the tackles. Hopefully, Davis is back soon. Tua did a nice job, but didn’t seem to be able to create much if the primary read wasn’t there. Giving him a pocket to step up into is going to be critical to our offense. The run game had some good moments. Our RBs aren’t flashy, but they can definitely get the job done. Loved the QB sneaks. It always frustrated me that NE has done that for years with Brady despite teams knowing it is coming. Waddle and Parker had some great moments. More 50/50 ball, please. The TEs will have their day, but they stayed in for protection most of the game yesterday. It’s early, but this game is more evidence that Flo and Co. are establishing a winning culture and a team that will be competitive every year. Doesn’t look like our guys will be blowing many teams out, but there will be a lot of fun games this year.
Big game next week!
When you have depth and don’t wear down at the end of a game, it allows you to win the close ones
Also we don’t have to win a game any certain way (Omar, take your keys to the game…up your…), we’re built to win any type of game, except maybe a shootout
drg — good to see you! Guess ’tis the season. 🙂
Because of our versatility and game plan each week and opponents game plan, we may not see some individual stats, like Gesicki with 70 catches
Week 1 shows how we intend to gameplan and stick with it, if the game goes as planned
Remember this near miss
These are the little things that can be different in the upcoming weeks
Let’s see – but this is another really close one
Wilson had him beat
That was a nice pass, but maybe thrown a little late
The QBs, like Rodgers and Wilson, that seem to connect on those long passes often, drop it in a bucket over the defender, leaving less chance of it being batted down
In past seasons, these missed opportunities were the difference in not winning
When you can beat a good team in an ugly game it shows you don’t have to play perfect to win, good sign
You owe Kong a beer. LOL
I see Cav already posted this. Out drawn by a damn, dirty ape…
That’s why Jones can’t put it in the endzone, dink and dunk
Holland looks like a keeper!
