I usually don’t complain about the Ref’s. But I will leave this game feeling that they controlled the whole outcome!

More great complimentary football played today…

The names on the jerseys change but it really looks like the same team year in and year out.

We win this game with Watson

  21. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Did any of you expect to win in Buffalo today? It was a game for most of the game. The Bills are much better than us and took charge late. Nothing has changed.

This regime can do whatever they want. They shit the bed in all phases this year. We already know that. I have no idea what’s going to happen. But 1-6 to 1-7. Oh no! LOL

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

It was a game but we looked like the Keystone Kops all too often. To be honest, this was a game that we should have stole, but we came up small time and time again. I hate this fucking team, we don’t do anything well, we’re a boring ass shitty team that is now the worst team in our division.

I’m tired of watching 8-10 guys trying to rush the passer and all of them getting swallowed up. The other team rushed 4 or 5 and we’re overwhelmed. It’s so frustrating to watch this over and over again.

  28. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

Ken, i had seen all the weak ass throws by Tua that allowed the D to recover, I also seen how he wasn’t in charge of his offense, had a rec lined up in the wrong place, Mack Hollins had to correct the rec, it caused a fumble and a took a score from us.

  29. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Vegas put us at 14 point dogs and we lost by 15. The bookies know more than any talking head does…. and their money is on the line instead of searching for clicks after all.

    • Wyoming85's avatar wyoming85 says:

This game is the first one I’ve ever watched that I left with the feeling that the ref’s controlled the whole game!

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

But a lot of the calls went our way. Maybe when we play the Bills that is not such a bad thing.

  30. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

We had the game in our grasp until late in the 4th QTR. Once again, we melted when it counted.

  31. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

When you are 1-7 you look for the bright side. Was a whole lot better than the first Bills game. And actually looked like last year’s D.

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The score was better but I didn’t feel like this team played well today. That’s what bothers me. If we played well, we win this game. We tripped over ourselves so many times, couldn’t get the ball in the endzone when we should have and then eventually as per usghe, the defense finally unraveled. I see nothing positive in this game. Buffalo was off, we had a chance but failed. That’s all I take from this loss.

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

We were down by 6 in the 4th Q. OD and I left the first one in mid 3rd Q cause was way out of hand. Hard to put up a 35-0 game as any kind of standard, but yes this one was better.

  32. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Yes, DeVante was intentionally put on display early and often, because he’s about to be traded. We wanted him to look good for better compensation… then he dropped a crucial catch, once again. SMH

  33. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Rob – It wasn’t Mack Hollins, it was Gesicki twice who tried to correct the receiver, I believe it was Waddle twice and Smythe once.

  34. ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

tua snapped the ball with the team out of position, that’s what caused the fumble

  35. bookman11's avatar bookman11 says:

There is No silver lining. This offense is awful. Either tailor it to Tua or fire these coaches. I am getting be be where ORob is. Tua showed me today that he is NOT able to command the pocket and offense

  36. ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

This team is poorly coached top to bottom. How can you continue to invest in the OL and come up with nothing. Just by the law of averages you hit on player acquisition at worst. It doesn’t matter if they keep picking 1st rd OL or signing FAs….same old shit.

Tua is 100% not the problem. I don’t have any idea how anyone thinks that. Go ahead and trade for the POS (if any of the accusations are remotely true) and I can move on from this franchise. Lol

There is no one this board that wants Stanger or anyone else to answer that. This is Fins fan football blog. Let’s not lose sight of this
    ————
With all due respect, Stanger and I are talking about Republican/Conservative matters. You are a Democrat. I will NEVER disrespect Stanger as a friend, a cool cat, or great person. I’ve great admiration for Stanger, and I should think the whole board knows as much.

In other words, Ken, I think you should stay out on these matters. What’s more, Stanger is the one posting the political material… let’s not lose sight of this. I respond, being I don’t believe he represents the whole of the Republican party or Conservative movement, that’s all. That’s why he gets retorts from Republicans and Conservatives on this blog.

And I really like you, too, Ken! But if we’re to see eye-to-eye (any/all of us), I don’t think you should get involved in Republican/Conservative matters. I say this with kindness, and I know Stanger can hold his own without a Dem coming to his defense… know what I’m sayin’?

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I figure Ken can say whatever the F he wants like anyone else on this board. But then I’m a free speech guy. And I bowed out of that convo cause seemed to be going like others before. Not sure why that mood hits but it does.

ORob, what would you say this team does really well because I don’t know?

  40. mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

Tua isn’t given the opportunity to go deep. Most of which one can attribute to the O-Line, the other part is the poor Offensive calling by committee.

  41. Orob, leave Ken alone, its not his fault you are ignorant

If Steve Ross had an ounce of football intelligence he’d fire a few people after this incredible run of failure by his franchise. But, alas, Little Stevie Blunder is a football doofus. He’ll let these guys hang around until thee end of the season, collecting checks they haven’t earned while alienating what little is left of Dolphin Nation.
    ————————–
HARD HEAD STADIUM will look like a ghost town by season’s merciful end. There were barely 20,000 seats with fannies in them at kickoff of the Fest game. There will be way less than 20,000 for the rest of the season (and most of those will be rooting for the other team). Boo-Birds with nasty signs will be seen as never before. And those trying to sell there tickets on the internet may get 10 or 20 cents on the dollar. A person I used to go to the games with told me “I wouldn’t go to another game this year IF THEY PAID ME TO GO!”

This is TOTALLY UNCHARTED WATERS for this franchise. Not even during the 1-15 season was morale this low and dislike for the owner this apparent. Ross has reaped what he has sown. And if you think THIS SEASON was bad, wait until next year!! The shit will REALLY HIT THE FAN as the media rips him to shreds!!

Next season will be the worst in the history of the MIAMI DOLPHINS, assuming Little Stevie Blunder maintains ownership of this sinking franchise.

    We need a new owner.

Tua can’t go deep due to his weak arm.
    ———–
My Bro! I posted Tua’s college highlights, and he’s got the arm to throw 50 yards in the air. He’s probably got an even stronger arm now after rehab, his mechanics are much better (including footwork), and he’s unflappable.

I fundamentally disagree with ya, my guy! What’s more, we’ve seen Tua go DEEP in practice to the likes of Albert Wilson… Tua just flicked his wrist and BOOM!

  54. New Age's avatar New Age says:

Tua is not making a strong case for himself. I know the issues with the OL and always broken WRs but the only two games he’s looked really goos were against awful teams. The Jets looked far better than us today and scored more than we have during any game Tua has started. It’s time to end this farce and start anew. I don’t think Tua is the answer though after watching 13 games starting. He just doesn’t look like a #5 pick. He looka like a 1st round bust at this point and while I blame the coaches for a lot of it, it doesn’t matter at this point.

Ya in the first half when the Bills were driving. They got some really ticky tack shit called on them!
That kept it to3-3 (actually our ineptness kept it there).

Then in the late 3rd the calls started going the other way.

100% agreed. If Watson –at his very BEST — could only lead the Texans to a 4-12 record, it tells me that QB wasn’t the problem there.

What’s more, he’s in DEEP POOP what with all of these accusations. Until he’s cleared, I wouldn’t even think about touching him.

You two can go at it as much as you want via email or some other means. The internet is full of options. But I think it’s clear the group is frustrated with this.

    • ElephantRider's avatar ElephantRider says:

    • mf13ss's avatar mf13ss says:

I do NOT have this ongoing “beef” with Stanger. I respect that man more than he or you guys apparently even know.

I merely disagree with him and his politics, being he calls himself a Republican. That’s it, short and sweet. If he takes umbrage with that, I don’t know what to tell him. There are literally thousands of other things where Stanger and I probably connect upon… yet he’s the one who is upset for bringing up politics and getting blowback: it is what it is.

I KNOW Stanger is a good dude! And it’s also alright to disagree on one mere matter, without becoming enemies… just as you and I, Tim, don’t see eye-to-eye on Jesus Christ. That doesn’t drive me away from you, bud, for example.

It doesn’t drive me away from Stanger, either. As far as I’m concerned, there is no “beef” from me toward Stanger. I realize I have a funny way of showing it, but like you and I, he and I have MUCH in common.

Politics and religion… we really should steer clear of these things on this football blog, though it’s inevitable to come up, especially in the doldrums.

So, we could say that politics is like eating at Taco Bell? It’s cheap and easy to do but all you end up with is angry, burning assholes?

Does anyone remember when Tannehill used to throw screens all the time, and short passes galore? Was it arm strength or lack of confidence in the O-line? Tua can throw deep, but you need fucking time to do it. The whole offense is built around the fact that the O-line is weak and can’t pass protect so they play the short passing game. It seems elementary to me.

Ranked Choice voting is the answer for the next Presidential election and all of them after as well. Make a 3rd party candidate relevant and that will snap the other 2 parties back to reality. They have strayed from their original doctrines so far, both sides, that they are so far apart from each other. It never used to be that way. Any candidate that has to satisfy either party’s wishes will just be more of the same.

Depends what you want to do and what pro Bono work you are doing. Your legal resume is only good for your first couple of jobs. After that it is all reputation

They put up a graphic during the game of QB’s and their release time. I believe Tua was 3rd behind Brady and another QB (don’t remember) but it was 2.45 seconds or close to that. If that’s how quickly you’re getting rid of the football, it’s hard or nearly impossible to throw deep.

Truth is, I’m really bummed out. I still can’t believe our season crashed and burned before the halfway point. It’s so disheartening that we literally have nothing to look forward to with this team. Nothing. Ugh!!!

Oh lord, you had to think we’d be better than this. There really isn’t one unit we can hang our hats on. We have been shitty in every phase of the game for most of the season. No way I expected that to happen.

Just an observation my wife and I made not too long ago. Guys think of a weak guy, or someone who doesn’t defend themselves well as a “Pussy”. It really doesn’t make sense. Sorry for the vulgar language, but that’s what people say. Balls are so much more sensitive, while the pussy takes tons of abuse (eg: Childbirth). You can graze a ball and send a guy into a doubled over contortion in which his stomach will hurt for at least 5 minutes. We think weak guys should be called “Balls”. Thoughts?

Ken, if you win a monetary settlement, you can take 70%, seem fair?

    Mike E,

I wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t see so much improvement from other teams in the same draft range and with less picks. This team’s leadership has been a disaster. I know a few Chargers fans and they’re sad I no longer enjoy my Sundays watching football like they do. The Bills were borderline successful with Toe Lover and upgraded in all facets. The Patriots will be back to decent soon, and even the lowly Jets are beating solid teams like the Bengals. The Bengals being solid is even depressing. I see steps toward success in a lot of places but not here.

I won’t even go into the Cardinals doing everything right so far with Kingsbury soon after having a great coach in Arians. Tampa getting Arians, etc, etc. I spent my childhood in glee watching the best QB I’ll ever watch. I’ve spent my prime years watching a complete shitshow. It doesn’t look like I’ll spend the second half of my life any different than the last 20, at least if I watch football. The game has changed and I’m not much of a fan of it anymore so without a great Dolphins team, I’ve got better things to do. It’s kinda depressing but all things end I guess.

I actually think that ORob has as good of a feel for this team and the QB situation as anyone on here.

If politics is the #1 thing that rules your life, then yes, I suppose I’m an asshole for sincerely and merely disagreeing with you on that one thing. That’s life, and I thought you had thicker skin, being you had skin in the game and should have been used to it.

I’m more than willing to bear the brunt of your frustrations, just know that I’m one of MANY who feel the same way on this blog… and you’ve acknowledged as much yourself.

If you told me that one of my productions and/or raps suck, I wouldn’t hold it against you… different strokes for different folks.

Calling me an asshole, and even outside of politics? Yeah, that’s the frustration coming out of you. Let it out, I can take it. You’ll notice that I won’t go down to your level, so as to call you an asshole or worse.

Look, we can agree to disagree on politics! That shouldn’t be a problem! Yet, you seem to make it a personal vendetta, as you constantly shit on Republicans/Conservatives, and in particular, Trump.

Could we PLEASE just stick to football… as you once told me? I’m not telling you what to talk about, but once again, you WILL get blowback when you bring politics into the mix. It’s only fair, and you know it.

If you don’t care for the answer, don’t ask the question… much less blame ME for a mere rebuttal.
And lastly, stop playing the ‘victim card’… you don’t wear it well, not even on Halloween.
