Last night was fun! Admittedly, I didn’t watch from start to finish, I vowed not to do that because it was really frustrating me to waste 3+ hours while twisting myself into knots. I care, we all do, that’s why we come here and talk. What happened last night was unexpected. No way in hell did I see that coming. Considering the fact that we were outscored 137-16 (I heard Aikman say that near the end of the broadcast) the last 3 games against the Ravens, there was no reason to expect a good result.
A few questions that need to be answered . . . If Tua is healthy enough to be the backup QB, is he not healthy enough to start? The next question is does Xavien Howard have to force a fumble and recover it in order for us to win games? He has done just that in two of our three victories. The next question is, do we buy into this team after 2 straight victories?
Here’s my take on questions one through three. It’s like this in my mind, either Tua should be playing or he shouldn’t. If he’s hurt and can’t play, he’s OUT. If he’s healthy enough to play, he STARTS. It’s confounding to me the way they are treating Tua and I honestly think it’s inexplicable. If he truly is our QB, then he’s the QB. To be clear, there’s no reason that Tua shouldn’t be our QB, Brissett is clearly the lesser of the two and Tua gives us the best chance to win. When people say “I already know what QB Tua is/will be”, I scoff at that. Players evolve differently. Specifically, this team’s roster has been in such a state of flux, I don’t know how anything on the offense can be evaluated properly. We have different WR’s lining up each week, and the truth is, our two best WR’s Parker and especially Will Fuller haven’t been 100% and in Fuller’s case haven’t been on the field. Preston Williams has also missed extensive time. It’s been a revolving door, and then add in the constant shuffling of the O-line. Deiter, Mancz, Reiter, there’s a different offensive center every game and sometimes during the game. You know what helps players the most? C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y. We’ve had none of that. No offense to anyone who said that they know what Tua is, but I couldn’t disagree more after just 14 games over two totally different seasons.
So we get a big win in prime time, and man, that was enjoyable. I say savor it because you never know when the next win is going to come. I know we play the Jets at MetLife next and some people are going to get ahead of themselves, although most of us here won’t fall into that trap, we’re seasoned Dolphins fans and we know better. The Jets also had a shocker when they knocked off the AFC North upstart Cincinnati Bengals 34-31 in Week 8. Who knows which Jets team shows up, the one that beat the Bengals or the one that gave up 54 points and 45 points to the Patriots and Colts respectively?
Our schedule for what it’s worth appears a little easier with games against the Jets, Camolina Panthers and then the NY Football Giants before we hit our BYE week in NFL Week 14. If we can duplicate last night’s effort the next 3 weeks is it possible we go into the BYE 6-7? I wouldn’t bet on it, and I think Brian Flores is really showing a lot of signs of WTF? lately. I expected growth from him and it almost seems like we’re seeing regression instead. This team has developed a pattern of being strong in the first quarter and then falling off a cliff. We’re pretty successful on our first drive but then the offense just disappears after that. That’s coaching, not on the players. That needs to be addressed.
Some interesting stats to digest. In the 1st Quarter, we are #7 in scoring. In the 2nd Quarter, we’re #32. In the 3rd Quarter, we’re #30. In the 4th, we’re #18. If that doesn’t point to coaching, what does? It says when we go by game plan we start out well, but as soon as we have to adjust, we completely deteriorate. I know Flores is young and inexperienced. You can be a great positional coach and teacher but when you’re responsible for running the entire show, well that’s a different story. I think Flores needs at least one very experienced coach to be his right hand man. I know Jim Caldwell was supposed to be that guy, and I think it’s a big loss that never materialized. Game management is a difficult skill to learn. You don’t want to step on the toes of your coordinators and you have to watch everything, managing time outs, challenges, substitutions all while watching the game clock and managing that as well. Having someone who’s done it but doesn’t threaten to take your job would be a welcome addition here. I think Flores has a good foundation, but I’m not 100% convinced he’s capable of running the whole show right now.
It didn’t count, but man was that fun to watch when mammoth RG Robert Hunt intercepted the screen pass intended for Myles Gaskin and rumbled towards the endzone and then made an incredibly athletic twisting leap for the goal line that Barry Sanders would be proud of. It didn’t count because he was an ineligible receiver, he didn’t report as an eligible receiver which is required but it was so crazy and amusing! I’m happy we won but the only thing that can keep me happy is more wins, and lots of ’em. Let’s hope we can be focused and keep the positivity flowing in New Jersey against our division rival NY Jets.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

The play they got Coleman for holding the replay showed Phillips get held without any call and don’t even get me started on the roughing the passer on Holland oy! Baker despite how it looked was pulling up too but I “sort of” get it. The refs and certainly the network wanted the ravens but we were just too good last night to get fucked over.
🐬💪 🖕
I knew seeing Boulder yesterday was a good sign for our Fins. Glad you checked back in Boulder sorry you have/had shit going on man stay strong. Fins up!
🐽
Y’all I told you about the movie Dolphin Tail yes?
Winter the Real Dolphin died last night as our Fins whooped the ass of the Ravens. Poor Winter RIP sweetheart.
Sacrificial Dolphin?

Air yards was 45.8 yards and if you watched it was pretty clear he could have thrown it longer if he needed to. It was a strong throw.
_______________________________________
LOL at .8, way to count every inch, was there a fraction in there? the ball floated, i wouldn’t use the term “strong” with that throw. he made one deep throw out of 100s of passing attempts and you are annointing him johnny unitas.
he came very close to giving the Ravens life with an interception, an ill advised throw for sure.
I hope he can take the reins to this team.
the jury is still out.
You just can’t admit your wrong lol
a deep throw to a wide open rec, would he have the confidence to make that throw to a covered rec? we shall see.
WHO’S YOUR DADDY?

my prediction was 21-17 Miami, if the Ravens had scored that final TD it would’ve been 22-17.
at least piggy had it right.
now everyone’s on the train!
I didn’t find Rock to mean at all, at least at D&B. Quite pleasant he was. Son must have done something.
M13, yeah I saw the TM new release. Deep! Looks like he is struggling with celebrity status and really wants nothing to do with it, mainly due to social media. Must be even tougher for someone who all ready has mental health and addiction issues.
He is not afraid to say how he feels. His chorus/hooks are usually not that good or just ok but that one was probably his best.
LOL, Son kept touching me. Putting his arm around me, touching my belly like a luck Buddha, he’s a huggy guy.
It was more of an inside joke, because he and I for years were smoking buddies at D&B but I quit smoking. At the end of the evening he jokingly complained that I didn’t spend enough time with him.
Waddle was tightly covered. C’mon ORob say it: I was wrong.
Why did waddle have to jump, leave his feet and twist to catch that “Accurate” deep pass?
who’s your daddy?
I am your daddy say it lol
I came across this mock draft this morning, not every round though. I’m not crazy about it. Really like 2nd round pick. Really, really hate pick 99.
10 Tyler Linderbaum, OC, Iowa
35 Kenneth Walker III, RB Michigan State
99 Justyn Ross, WR Clemson
105 Dawand Jones, RT Ohio State
124 Matt Araiza, P/K San Diego State
I don’t know about taking an OC at #10. I like Linderbaum but his size worries me at under 300 pounds. Kenneth Walker III at #35, sign me up! Justyn Ross is so over rated. Yeah, he’s 6’4 but he ran a 4.87 at the Nike Combine, though they project him to run in the mid 4.5’s. RT at #105, I’m good with that.
Lastly, a punter/kicker in the 4th round. I was like “NO WAY”. So, I had to look him up. This dude has a bionic leg. He’s not the most accurate of kicker’s but would be a solid backup if your regular kicker went down. Still not sure if I would draft him in the 4th round.
Kind of like many of your posts, hot air from the dryer. 😉
don’t forget all the clanks
Our punter sucks. This kid from San Diego State is their punter and kicker. I said above he is not the most accurate kicker (3-8 on 50+) but would be a solid back up. He averages 51.8 on punts and longest 86 yards. He also loves to hit and is usually the 5th or 6th man down field.
Would you spend a draft pick on him and where?
Can he pass protect on the blind side?
Maybe, seems to be a tough little dude. lol
Look at his second punt in the highlight where he launches the ball 2 yards deep in his EZ and the ball finally hits the ground at the other teams 18 yard line. That’s 84 yards in the air!!!
I would rather spend a 6th or 7th round pick on a guy like this than use that pick to move around in the 5th round! Like you say good backup for the K while holding down the P position.
Did you hear the hook at 6:37:19?
Nah, it ended at about 4:38. ???
the next game we lose, the number one hit will be……
Is that a herpes sore on his lip? Just askin. Maybe that’s why he knows why he is losing someone.

———————–
I was thinking our first pick in the 6th if he was still there.
It could be a roach burn and not a cold sore?
BBM, you probably don’t pay that much attention to my 100’s of mock drafts posted every year, but I always take a K or P in the late rounds and not always in the 7th. I think a TOP kicker is worth soooo much more than a developmental LB or S or OL
Rock, I look at everyone of your mocks. Even when you go all tradypants. lol
and I do notice you taking a K or P a lot in the late rounds.

What does that even mean?
It means Omar still loves us. 🙂
“The NFL is a copycat league. Baltimore’s next opponent, the Chicago Bears, would be foolish not to follow suit with what the Dolphins just showed the world: Baltimore can’t handle pressure looks. The Ravens will have a long week to make adjustments. Baltimore needs to utilize tempo, throw to iso receivers as well as produce after the catch….”
“It’s better that the Ravens had their faults against pressure looks exposed now, while they still have five divisional games remaining. However, if they aren’t able to make adjustments, defenses will continue to reign hell fire with blitzes from all angles until Baltimore’s offense proves they can make their opposition pay. If they’re unable to, then the Ravens may find themselves missing the playoffs for the first time with Jackson as their quarterback while negotiating his contract; which will be the biggest (both monetarily and in terms of impact) contract in Baltimore sports history.”
— baltimorebeatdown, which Flores seems to have gotten nervous and seemingly didn’t watch tape of the Texans game.
Not sure what the last sentence means?
Same scheme often against Houston.
Why did Flores get nervous and not watch tape of the Texans game?
Flores seems to have made baltimorebeatdown nervous. Read the quoted. Talking about maybe we don’t make the playoffs.
Oh okay I gotcha. I didn’t read it that way. Thought it was baltimorebeatdown saying that.
It worked as written, but maybe should have been less complex in the clause structure.
The em dash leading off made me feel it was a quote.
When I put out the em dash after a quote means my words.
I got it now. LOL
ORob,
You’re dropping some old-school musical BOMBS today, sir!!!
LOVE the music!!!
Thanks mf 13. Those songs seem fitting. Everyone is on the love train currently.
And it worked VERY well!
It was a very impressive performance.
One of my very favorites…
Love this one, too. DJ Quik is the nephew of this group, El Debarge
M13, this is a beautiful song with keys and guitar. The chord structures in this tune are amazing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxK1Mf6_yBw
DUDE! You weren’t kidding about the chord structuring! I very much like this, and I THANK YOU for sharing! Hey, those strings in the background were a beautiful touch, as well.
I thought you’d like that and the strings because I know you dig that. Unfortunately Lyle Mays (keys) died in 2020 at the age of 66. It’s always sad when such a talent leaves us. He and Pat Metheny wrote and performed together for over 4 decades. I saw them live probably 4-5 times and they are probably one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen. The musicianship is on such a high level.
Here’s a more upbeat tune from the Pat Metheny Group. One of my favorites from them.
That is funny from Omar. I wonder, other than our little sub sect how many people actually get the reference. I believe WE (don’t remember who to credit exactly) came up with that quasi-insulting moniker. Like the HDS.
I wonder if Omar remembers that Patience Brigade came from us. Not like he came up with it. And Omar was real involved with us on the SS. But then twitter came and he was gone. He liked that world a whole lot better.
That is a good question I bet he has twisted it in his mind that HE created it.
I think it was Bat.
I was one of the founders of the patience brigade. LOL
I remember! I was right there with you.
Tim and ORob, love this one
The intro is REALLY good… as is the rest of the song.
This is one of the only funk groups I’ve never had the chance to either interview/talk with/make acquaintance with. I LOVE ONE WAY!
That was very good.
M13, when you get a chance check out the breakdown of the tune I posted that you dug. This dude Rick Beato is really good at doing this. He does this for a lot of tunes.
Thank you for sharing, my guy! I appreciate this vid.
Yeah man, it’s always interesting to “see” how music is composed and why it works beside what you hear.

Wilkins is on the list every week. He’s a very underrated player.
Not sure how accurate this is, but I’ll share it anyway. I post this because this might have been part of the plan all along. That doesn’t negate the bad start we had this year at 3-7 and the way Tua has been treated with the Watson trade rumors over his head constantly. But we have a very new and young team so trial and error and ups and downs were likely. Even if we had pulled off two more wins and were 5-5, that wouldn’t change the issues we see.
“The Dolphins projected to have nine draft picks in 2022, including a top-10 selection and two more first-round picks in 2023. And they are projected to have the most cap space in the NFL (more than $93 million) this offseason.👀🐬”

This Sports Illustrated headline headline is what is wrong with the want a click sports journalism era.
“Could the Dolphins Make a Playoff Push?”
Team is 3-7.
Yes. 2 games back with 8 to play. 4 easy games in front of us.
Easy games? The Ravens might have thought that on Thursday night too. No such thing as an easy game in the NFL.
Bills will win the division and beaten us twice already. And our record is 4th worst in the conference. Guess anything can happen but why do you have so much faith in us?
This team has started slow and finished strong since flores has been here. I expect no difference
As for our sched. Teams that dont have a winning record ate more desireable to play at this point then the opposite. And thats what i mean by an easy sched
The teams vying for a playoff spot are a 5-4. Were 3-7. If we can get to 7-7 im sure we will be in the mix
14 AFC teams ahead of us in the standings. And 11 of them at least 2 games ahead. But anything can happen. We should be OK at 10-7 after seven straight wins
I predicted 8-9 i think i may hit that mark
6-2 the rest of the way is dooable
5-2
8-9 possible, but would not mean playoffs.
Just win the next one
That’s the way to approach it. One game at a time. Not marking off 4 wins in a row.
Words of wisdom. Did you google that?
The Jags beat the Bills 9-6.
The Phins beat the Ravens 22-10.
Did the majority of NFL fans see that coming? I bet a lot of people went down in survival pools.
No game is easy in the NFL.
There were a lot of upsets last week. Somehow the bills have fallen a little
The only way this Dolphins team makes a major run is if the OL starts to man up. Sorry, they get beaten constantly. I’m not confident that will happen this year. We have to add some proven OL through FA next year. What we’re seeing this year is ridiculous. Every game OL standing around as three defenders attack our backfield. Blame the coaching if you want, basic football skills are lacking. Okay I’ll let this guy go by and double the other guy. Do these guys see what’s happening? Getting overpowered is one thing, but cerebral football is lacking as well.
There should be more wins, but there will be no playoffs. And yeah OL is a big reason for that. Combined with our 3-7 record, which the OL can take a lot of the credit for already.
Our OL is bad too often, we’re using two QBs due to injury, the rest of the team is not cohesive but trending somewhat upwards at times. It’s been a bad year overall for everyone. 7 games to go. Just play better and build on that. The defense looks like it’s coming together. STs doesn’t kill us. The offense has to take another step.
And I am real happy the D is coming together even if was going WTF about it before. Even if we sit with it, still a lot of work to do on the O.
it’s easy to blame the OL, the thing is these guys are young, you have to have experience to play the OL and we have very little. when an offensive lineman makes a mistake it is broadcast. when he has a good play it goes unnoticed. couple that with the plays called, these little short passes and screens, opposing Ds crowd the box and make life difficult for our OL,
i blame it on the F.O. for not having a good scheme or veteran presence on the field, these same guys will get better.
Because of the OL, you know what opponents are doing to us. Don’t let Waddle beat us over the top. The handful of times except for the play Thursday night where the Ravens had coverage breakdowns all night, there has always been a safety over the top of Waddle. We’ll take keep him in front of us all day. This OL is not good enough to consistently sustain long scoring drives. The other receivers lead by Gesicki and Parker they’re willing to cover one on one. Opponents know they’ll get beat by skill here and there. But they’re not worried about take it to the house type of plays.
What is the longest play our offense has this year taking it to the house?
I LOVE music coming out of Oaktown…
Yes, the aforementioned DJ Quik (nephew of El Debarge) produced this one with the legendary Tony Toni Tone.
If you’re a fan of Nirvana, you’ll hear the undertones of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.
Quite frankly — and as a producer — they absolutely ripped off “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Don’t know if they got the clearance to do as much, but I’m betting they did.
Music has always been shared. I’m tired of copyright nonsense.

I’m not sure Parker, Fuller, Wilson or Williams will be back next year. Build it around Waddle and the TEs. Find some receivers who can play most of the time. FA and the draft. Add some more vet gamers to the mix.
I stated we should start over with WR unit last year by getting Pitts at 3. Believed he was the best WR on the board, but in a TE body. A mismatch nightmare.
Misusing Waddle this year, imo.
FO and coaching regressed signicantly this year. Doesn’t matter how many “skill” players you have if you don’t have an OL, and we don’t have an OL after 3 years of rebuild.
Seems mgt planned for half our WR unit to be walking wounded that’s why we kept so many. Bad strategy imo.
Could’ve, would’ve, should’ve…..lol
However you look at our cap numbers, we’re going to have a lot of cap to sign FAs. 2022 is the year to sign key players including our own like Ogbah. He’s a consistent presence off the edge.
How about signing two proven OL in FA, that has to happen.
Maybe a vet WR or two who is reliable and productive.
Building through the draft is great, but not all at one time.
2022 can’t be about rookies and development in year 4 of the Dolphins current regime.
The title sounded good and wishful thinking on my part, but article just ok:

I believe someone posted PFF’s 5 highest-graded Dolphins vs. the Ravens and keeping with the Defense theme, 4 out of top 5 were on defense:
Mike Masala
November 13, 2021 3:59 pm ET
The Miami Dolphins defeated the Baltimore Ravens by a final score of 22-10 on Thursday night to kick off Week 10 of the 2021 season. The win was Miami’s third of the year and second in as many weeks.
Brian Flores’ team put up their best defensive effort to this point, as they were able to shut down Baltimore’s offense. The Ravens put up just over 300 yards of offense, with under 100 of that coming from the running game.
Because of their performance, players on Miami’s defense were graded highly by Pro Football Focus with four of the five highest grades coming from that side of the ball.
Xavien Howard played very well and likely received a large bump from stripping Sammy Watkins and returning the fumble for a touchdown. Jevon Holland had the most active night, as he rushed Lamar Jackson 21 times and was making plays in the secondary as well.
Adam Shaheen had arguably the best game of his season, recording three catches for 34 yards, including an impressive play in the red zone in the second quarter.
Justin Coleman got the game-sealing interception, and Christian Wilkins continues to earn respect despite not getting a lot of love on the traditional stat sheet.
Hmmmm….since I didn’t see the game and grades are subjective…lol:

Making Sense of the Dolphins QB Situation
Tua Tagovailoa replaced Jacoby Brissett in the victory against Baltimore and now Miami has two quarterbacks at less than 100 percent
ALAIN POUPART
The day after their upset victory against the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins’ quarterback situation remains murky and a hot topic of conversation.
The Dolphins have some extra days before they face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in Week 11, but now they’re dealing with two injured quarterbacks. Make that two injured quarterbacks still able to play, which is what created a whole lot of chatter Thursday night.
Tua Tagovailoa missed a second consecutive start because of the fracture on the middle finger of his throwing hand, but he again served as the backup and entered the game after Jacoby Brissett sustained a knee injury while being sacked on third down.
Brissett’s injury didn’t appear serious because he was given the go-ahead to return to the game the next time the Dolphins had the ball, only to have head coach Brian Flores tell him he was going with Tagovailoa.
That, of course, got social media buzzing, wondering why Tua would be OK to go into the game but not OK to start.
FLORES TRIES TO EXPLAIN
Flores has tried his best — after the game Thursday and again Friday morning — to explain a complicated situation that essentially boils down to not wanting to put Tagovailoa in harm’s way, while also mentioning the ability to make all throws.
And, as fate would have it, Tagovailoa did have to deal with some pain when his left hand hit a Baltimore defender following through after a pass attempt.
“Jacoby was banged up yesterday; same with Tua,” Flores said. “I thought Tua did a good job of fighting through the discomfort. We all saw him bang his finger, too, in the game, which that’s kind of what we were trying to avoid.
“I think the situation with Tua, obviously I’ve said many times that he’s our quarterback. I said this last night, we try to protect players from themselves. (We were) trying to avoid that situation with him banging his finger last night. We’ve got to take it day-to-day with both players and see how that goes.”
TUA TIME
By all logic, Tagovailoa needs to be the starting quarterback for this team if for no other reason than he needs to be developed and evaluated as much as possible the rest of the 2021 season.
He’s also been more effective than Brissett this season in a comparable body of work, each quarterback having started five games.
Tua’s return to the lineup was a big story Thursday night, though we’ll say here his contributions to the victory were overblown, highlighted by NFL Network/FOX naming him the Player of the Game against Baltimore.
Let’s be clear, it was the defense that won the game against Baltimore, not anything or anybody on offense.
That said, Tua was efficient after replacing Brissett and made some key throws, evidenced by his 104.0 passer rating, though his 64-yard completion to Albert Wilson was more about Baltimore blowing a coverage than any great effort by either quarterback or receiver.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey suggested after the game that Tua gave the offense “some juice” when he entered, except that the Dolphins gained 21 yards in their first two drives after the QB change.
The Dolphins did get going in the third drive when Jaylen Waddle got himself wide open downfield on a deep crosser and Tua hit him for a 35-yard gain.
But that drive ended with a field goal and it was when Xavien Howard scored on a fumble return that the Dolphins got some cushion.
The bottom line is that it’s possible to acknowledge and respect what Tagovailoa did in relief of Brissett while also not blowing out of proportion.
NO DOLPHINS QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY
Flores also made it a point Friday morning to make sure everybody understands there’s no great conspiracy against Tagovailoa, that the decision to have him not start the past two games wasn’t part of some plot to keep him down.
“I think people are trying to turn this into a controversial situation where we don’t want a certain player to play,” Flores said. “I try to look out for the best interest of the players individually, the team. All those things play a role in the decisions we make and that was the case last night.”
I’m not sure Parker, Fuller, Wilson or Williams will be back next year. Build it around Waddle and the TEs. Find some receivers who can play most of the time.
—————————————–
Tim, I know you are a night owl. lol If you are up, I agree with you on this. I have been looking at WR’s. If, in fact, all the above are not back next year, we may need to bring in a vet f/a WR. I think we need to come back with Waddle, Hollins and Merritt. Then maybe sign a vet. However, I would love us to draft Jameson Williams from Alabama. Preseason, he was considered a 4th round prospect. I viewed him as a high second low first. Now, unfortunately, he is soaring up draft boards.
Williams is Devonta Smith 2.0. He is 6’2 189 and runs easily in the 4.3’s. His height/speed combo is rare. Not to mention he is also a very good route runner with great hands and a returner as well. I believe he would give us the same first year impact as Waddle and a true boundary #1.
I would pass on RB Kenneth Walker III to take Jameson Williams.
ONE OF THE BEST WAYS to improve our quarterback play is to improve the performance of our running backs. Yet our leading two backs, both from Washington, continue to underwhelm me with what they’ve shown. Admittedly, our O-Line is at or very near the bottom of the NFL (for the umpteenth consecutive season under Ross’s ownership). But, admitting that, we STILL need an upgrade in our backs. So, I’m again going to urge those lamebrains in Miami’s scouting department to COME UP WITH AT LEAST ONE stud back in the upcoming draft (something they have FAILED to do in the last dozen plus seasons).
Pretty much the same goes for our never-ending O-Line woes. ONE TIME we drafted a stud O-Lineman. TUNSIL, who, of course, now plays for Houston. Otherwise, we HAVE FAILED MISERABLY in acquiring O-Line superior talent for the last dozen plus seasons!! And there are CONSEQUENCES FOR THAT. – – – The biggest of which is the fact that our quarterbacks tend to get beaten up!!!! And THAT is exactly where we are RIGHT NOW.
Our biggest problem with this team is NOT the “fact” that our starting QB can’t throw a pass further than 10 yards with some zip on it. He doesn’t lack a strong arm, despite the claims to the contrary.
What he lacks is THE TIME TO THROW A DEEP PASS because of a leaky, under performing O-Line AND BECAUSE his blocking backs (our top 2 running backs) lack the skills necessary to consistently protect our QB’s. AGAIN, the culprit here is the Fins scouting department, which, I would argue, is among THE VERY WORST IN THE NFL YEAR AFTER YEAR UNDER ROSS’S OWNERSHIP. AND, I’ve concluded, this is NOT likely to change until we have a CHANGE ON OWNERSHIP because of Ross’s proven tendency to approve the hiring of inferior talent time after time.
SO BLAME TUA all you want, boyz. You’ve already made up your minds (SOME of you) that all we need is another QB and, presto, our problems in the O-Line and at running back will diminish or go away all together!! IN REALITY, the biggest, most needed, change we need is at the MOST IMPORTANT PLACE in this franchise.
WE NEED A CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP. We need an owner who is able to PICK THE RIGHT PEOPLE to run this football team!!
OD, I agree about upgrading RB. Been harping on it. But, as Tim mentioned, we will probably lose most or all of Parker, Fuller, Wilson and Williams. Our crowded WR room (preseason) looked great on paper but truth is it is just crowded with broken/often injured players. It is easier to upgrade the RB room in the mid rounds then WR. Give me a LT in round one (move Eich back to RT) and get WR Jameson Williams at #35 and RB in 4th or 5th.
Also, I agree, we don’t need to draft to replace our QB. We do need to draft a QB prospect later in the draft to replace Brissett since we screwed up and lost Stinett.
The F.O. had a good blocking RB in Brown, he got injured. our OL has 3 drafted players in the last two years on it, and a 3rd string center.
Experience is needed, no one pops out of their mother with a scratch handicap.
and it certainly would help all aspects if our QB had more arm strength.

what was the other side of the coins name, i know we had a name but i forgot, i certainly wasn’t a fan of the PB.
it’s an excuse to continually suck!
I can’t remember either. I was in the PB.
Wasn’t that the HDS? Henne _____ Society? Something like that? I forget the middle. I could be wrong.
i think it was but i doubt the H stood for henne.
Henne Disbelievers Society
RUNNING STRATEGY
to have a good running game the play has to be called at the LOS, you have to know where the D is loaded, does the right side have more defenders than the left?
how are the DL lined up? are they favoring one side or the other of the ol in front of them.
you have holes, the 3 hole would be between the center and guard on the left side, the 5 hole between the g & t, on the right side the same except the numbers are even. hence 4 & 6.
when the qb is lined up he calls the running play based on his assessment of how the D is lined up.
we use to have 2 rbs, #1 & #2,
so at the LOS the call was, the qb would yell “31”
that would be the #1 back going thru the 3 hole. the qb analyzes the play prior to the snap, the ol knows where the play is going by the call and blocks accordingly.
at least that’s how we did it.
the center was zero, so the FB up the middle in short yardage would be “20”
in the #31 call, the center and left guard know the play is coming to their hole so they know they have to open that hole, and have an advantage as the qb made the call based on where their opponent lined up.
It’s so nice waking up on Sunday, knowing we aren’t going to get our asses kicked today, we’ve already won. I can be on the weekly zoom meeting tomorrow at work and not get harassed for my Dolphins coffee mug.
True that !! 🐬🏈🐕
Herd, I believe you are right. It was the HDS but can’t remember now what that stood for. lol
Derangement?
Parker has 5.4m in dead cap next year, so he may stick, Bowden and Hurns also under contract in 2022 should stick too
Hollins probably does as well, but is unsigned past 2021
Waddle of course stays too
There’s our not too expensive, 5 player, WR group for 2022, but unless someone like Merritt can be counted on we’ll likely need to go get someone in FA
RB must be a priority in the 2022 draft
Bring in a good vet C to captain the OL
Find a quality backup QB
TEs staying the same can carry WRs, when they get hurt
Front 7 thumper needed to stop the run
Then of course Flores will add 10 1 yr contract FAs to fill the rest of the holes
I am hoping that the large amount of 1 yr contracts were due to decreased cap limit , and and expected large increase next year .. it was a league wide thing with contracts… I was hoping Fuller was a 10 M this year, he stayed healthy, with a promise of an extension/ new long term deal after season(as well as others) as he CAN be dynamic ..
Now I don’t want him back regardless
In a nutshell, I think MOST FA contracts next year will NOT be just 1 year deals
Actually, if we move on from Parker, Fuller, Wilson and Williams next year our WR room will be:
Waddle, Hurns and Bowden under contract for 2022. THAT’S IT.
We must resign Hollins and Merritt.
Go into draft with Waddle, Hollins, Hurns, Bowden and Merritt. Sign a mid tier f/a and don’t over spend on Adams or Robinson.
Draft one early (Jameson Williams) and one late.
Owe you a beer Steve. lol
I brought up the Patience Brigade a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t remember the antithesis at the time.
I believe the HDS was named first and I think it stood for Henne Derangement Syndrome. Then Bat countered with the Patience Brigade, and the rest is history, lol.
In my mind the H was for hate like in below, but guess then the letters don’t fit. Worked that way functionally though. 🙂

As a founding member of the HDS along with my lord and master Bat HDS stood for Henne Disbelievers Society
That sounds right too. I’ll take your word for it, lol.
And you guys were harsh to nice guy Chad. Like Orob to Tua. Was he around then? Would have made for a high-powered member.
I was looking at the CAP space for next year and OT f/a’s. I think we should sign a top LT and move Eich back to RT where he feels more comfortable at.
Terron Armstead, LT, Saints. He is 31 and still a beast. Saints are broke as fuck. With 37 players under contract for 2022 they are still 51 million over the CAP. No way they can afford him.
Orlando Brown, Jr., LT, Chiefs. He is only 26. Chiefs have 32 million in CAP space but only have 26 players under contract for 2022. They are tied with the Texans for having the fewest players under contract. That 32 million will disappear fast if they resign Brown then try to put together the rest of the team. Hopefully they don’t get a deal done before free agency signings begin.
Eric Fisher, LT, Colts. He is 31. Colts have 58 million in CAP space (34 players) and probably resign him.
I didn’t look at any of the other OT’s available who might come a little cheaper.
As a reference, we have 77 million in CAP space with 36 players under contract. The 36 is about average for the NFL as a whole. There are 14 teams with fewer players under contract than us and 3 others tied with us at 36.
Q — what are Ahmed and Gaskin?
A — a real nice tandem of backs behind a stud #1 RB.
Looking at all this cap stuff this morning I came to realize the Bills don’t have much to build on. They have 38 players under contract for 2022 and only have 14 million in CAP space. On top of that, those 38 players rank as the 7th oldest in the NFL.
I know teams find ways to make the cap work with restructures and cuts, but still.
What a crappy choice of games. Ata vs Dallas or Clev vs NE. I want all these teams to lose, lol.
I got Saints/Titans
I have Browns/Pats, Steelers/Lions. Wish I had the Tampa game. Brady has 2 Ints in the 1st Q. That would be worth seeing. 😂
Baker Mayfield is horrible
I’ve got Lions @ Stealers*. Minkah Fitzpatrick just got dragged into the endzone by rookie RB Jamar Jefferson for a TD. 7-7 at the moment.
The memorial fountain will be turned off today as it is every year on this day. I’m old enough to remember when this happened. 11.14.70. Never forgotten. 💚🦬🏈
God Bless

I was definitely old enough to remember! I still remember my reaction when I heard about it. Disbelief mostly……then, sadness.
First time for me this season to be able to sit down and watch the Stealers*. Najee really looks good: he had a TD run called back due to a ticky-tack holding call from their rookie LT.
He had a slow start , but has been a large percentage of Pitts offence
On the year ..
We should have drafted him, Manitoba! And to know that he’s running behind one of the worst O-Lines in the NFL.
Agree
4th and 1… Minkah Fitzpatrick messes up yet again, allowing DeAndre Swift to break the tackle for a loss, gain of 5! MFF!
Lol tripped himself to allow another one
Ironic when being held to no catches on 7 tries can be seen as a sign of respect, but Dolphinswire may have a point.
——————————————————-
Teams are starting to respect Mike Gesicki.
The Dolphins’ offense has been predicated on passes to rookie wideout Jaylen Waddle and tight end Mike Gesicki throughout 2021. In this game, however, Gesicki was held without a reception despite being targeted seven times.
This can be explained by some of the matchups that the Ravens were using on him. There were numerous times when Baltimore’s top cornerback, Marlon Humphrey, was tasked with taking Gesicki out of the play.
When a team’s best defender is assigned to a tight end that shows a massive sign of respect. That’s how teams are starting to view Miami’s tight end, so the Dolphins will have to find more options to throw to.
Trevor Lawrence always seems to either slide or go out of bounds 1-2 yards short of line to gain .. he should have at least 3 first down runs today that he made business decision to go short
I miss Bat.
My dark lord and master 👹
Miss your captor as well
Maybe he feels some sort of guilt for the virus???
I know you all are watching football but I am bored as F at work. So, you get another mock. LOL I did this with the mindset we signed free agent LT Terron Armstead or LT Orlando Brown.
I traded down twice from #10 in 1st round for the extra picks.
24. Kenneth Walker RB Michigan State
38. Jameson Williams WR Alabama
56. Jarrett Patterson OC Notre Dame
88. Sam Williams EDGE Mississippi
99. Haskell Garrett DT Ohio State
104. Sevyn Banks CB Ohio State
108. Cade Mays OG Tennessee
124. Calvin Austin III WR Memphis
148. Isaiah Foskey EDGE Notre Dame
179. Amari Gainer LB Florida State
199. Brian Robinson Jr. RB Alabama
222. Brennan Armstrong QB Virginia
Need more OL
What? I got you an elite veteran LT, a stud OC, and a very good OG.
Ok, insert best OT available at #99.
I want 5 new OL if we spent our entire draft on OL I wouldn’t have a problem
Ok, you got LT through F/A, drafted an OC at #56, a RT at #99, a LG at #108, so plug in another RG at #148.
You still got 2 RB, 2 WR, EDGE, CB, LB and a QB prospect to replace Brissett.
The Browns look like shyte
Mayfield looks like shit
The whole team does. NE is doing whatever they want on offense.

One of them by good ol’ Bobby McCain!!
Steelers game has prime spot, Tampa/ Wash splitting time with Saints/Titans, and Dallas /Atlanta << fantasy reasons..splitting with Ne/Cleve
I was hoping for a good snow game with Seattle vs GB, but checking the weather it looks like the snow has stopped.
Field was snow covered prior to early kickoffs
Mayfield sucks
Mayfield hurt
MF’s boy Keenam in
Thank you! They finally switched to Nawlins vs Titans
Matt Ryan has me .68 fantasy pts
Josh Rosen now in for Atlanta, on to Saints game
Congrats to Darlene. She has owned me this year. 🥴
You guys are in a tight game
Goff has 40 yds passing 8/14, and Lions are tied with Pitt
Jax within 3
Mayfield does great commercials though . . .
Yes , they are quite amusing
Bucks about to lose to WTFs
Another example of running the damn ball no matter what.
Not counting QB yards. Washington only averaged 2.55 yards a carry but they kept running the damn ball 31 times and won. Beat the Bucs and sent Brady home crying to his wife.
Bills making sure we’re out of the AFC East basement
Cam Newton rushing TD for Carolina, then gets a PF for taunting …
Thus Detroit/Pitt game is entertaining..
Was that Minkah FF with the critical holding penalty?
Didn’t announce, not sure .. prolly
No, Devon Bush. No matter, INT doesn’t count, so fuck Minkah FitzFuckFace!!😡
LOL.
That run should do it
FG are tough there.
you have to be kidding me
Was reading an article about how Covid myths spread, but this caught my eye. Podcasters rule these days.

“A recent survey from the National Research Group, a consulting firm, found that 60% of listeners younger than 40 get their news primarily through audio, a type of media they say they trust more than print or video.”
LOL, this game is fun
Right ?!😊
LOL, man, that should have been an INT. This is a blooper reel
Every Play is an adventure LOL
Yep
I hope this game ends with a D’Andre Swift run on which he runs over MFFF on his way to the endzone
Lmao….god you hold a grudge!!!
Ya think???
LOL!!!
Lol I have mixed feelings about that.. Fantasy FB and dislike of Steelers says yes please.. son has Pitt last survivor pick for the family says no 🤷♂️
