Here is the 3rd down throw to Waddle. Tight coverage on the sideline outside the numbers
Another very encouraging step forward from Tua today. To me this was the pick of his throws: 3rd down to Jaylen Waddle and dead eye accuracy to move the chains in the only place the ball could go. Couldn’t have walked over & put it in his hands any better pic.twitter.com/0kNTCBus7K
If Tua tried to launch more of a rainbow throw he likely gets his arm hit from behind which could be a sack and a fumble or it gets deflected for a possible pick. He had to throw more of a bullet with less arc to make that play. Less arc is less distance. It’s pretty simple.
Yes you see it on the replay that he knew he had little time to get rid of that ball because of pressure and while Hollins was still wide open. It was a great play.
we are all just fans, the guys that run this team and the owner know way more than we do, they see these guys on a daily basis.
so it begs to question????
if tua is all that…….why is the owner talking to watson?
your reply is outlandish.
the reason ross is talking to watson is because grier and flores want him too, and they know they made a huge mistake with tua
I recall stating back in ’19 — regarding Tua — that it’s so difficult (at least for me) to evaluate a lefty QB… it just looks plain weird, and I’ve always felt that way when even seeing the likes of Michael Vick throwing.
When ya see Tua throwing ‘right-handed’, it puts things into a better perspective… again, at least for me and probably many others.
Brian Daboll said this about the accuracy of QB’s and Tua,
“All of them can drop back seven steps and hit a house with the ball. Some of them can hit the door. A few can even hit the doorknob. Tua can hit the keyhole.”
Yeah it’s really a 2-TE set with Gesicki as a Receiver. I’ve also been saying Gesicki is a receiver. Everyone knows that. He’s not the only TE in the league like that either. But that doesn’t mean when he’s on the field he tips off the defense on what we’re doing. And he’s not the guy responsible for our offense not imposing our will on teams in the run game. There are 5 other guys who play a big role in that. 😉
Yep — given that stat sounds like Gesicki in or not tips the other team as to what is going on no more or less than whether you have a slot wideout in or not. And that “what if” is there for every single team in the league.
Yep! Gesicki is not an easy cover for opposing defenses. He’s big, he has long arms, can jump and high point the ball, and he can run. We all know he has good hands and can make spectacular catches. Those are his strengths.
His weaknesses are he’s not very physical blocking and he’s not a quick twitch guy. So on short routes, he’s not going to make too many moves to turn a 3-4 yard catch into a 10 yard 1st down. He needs to get more vertical in routes. He runs like a horse, not a quick cat.
I do not think we’ll make the playoffs even though I’d love to see something special like that happen. So heading into next season, this team regardless of any FO and coaching changes, has to decide who their future QB is going to be and build around them. If it’s Tua build around him. If it’s Watson (don’t want him) or someone else, make the decision and build around them. Do not allow trade rumors to linger on and on and especially into the season. It’s not healthy for anyone.
Gesicki was giving away our position when he lined up as a T.E., because Gesicki’s lack of blocking skills signaled pass to the opposing D.
when that happened teams would blitz and dare Tua to beat them, just like the 2nd game where Tua was body slammed.
it was a cluster fuck! we got killed!
That’s why after the Buffalo game you didn’t see much of Gesicki, they didn’t know how to insert him into their game plan, then they moved him to the slot in passing situations.
bottomline, you cant give him 59 mil, you can’t franchise him for 15 mil.
he’s not that valuable to this team. and that’s what he will be asking for.
Tua got body slammed because Jesse Davis didn’t even touch the edge rusher. We do run when Gesicki is at TE. But it’s not just him when we struggle. We struggle to run the ball consistently with any TEs in there because the OL struggles too often.
Teams aren’t daring Tua to beat them, they’re daring the OL to block them. They also don’t worry about being beaten over the top because we can’t block it and none our WRs scare them deep other than Waddle. That’s why he’s never single covered on deeper routes. There is always a guy over the top. They take there chances with giving Waddle the short stuff and umbrella him. He has the quickness and speed to get the first down or get to the pylon for a TD here and there. But teams don’t want him running one on one in the open field. So they don’t allow that.
Nobody else on our team makes them pay for that except for what looked like broken coverages on the deep passes to Ford, Wilson and Hollins. Other than that, we haven’t beaten anyone down the field. We don’t even attempt them often because they’re not open and we rarely have time to throw them.
Seems to me that Goedert’s contract might be a good indication of Gesicki’s market value without the franchise. Last year’s TE tag amount was less than $10 mil.
I don’t think Flores likes Gesicki’s game, he was benched earlier and made no effort to resign him last summer in a contract year, i doubt it matters what the cost is, Gesicki is history.
so how much do you pay gesicki as a slot rec? is he more valuable than Robert Woods? ceedee lamb? Cooper Kupp?
if you are going to pay a slot rec, get a real one.
All three of those guys are more than just slot receivers. Gesicki also lines up wide on the boundary. He plays the slot, H-back and goes in motion inside too. It’s not just one set position. Gesicki is not the reason this offense isn’t consistent. It’s too young and too new simultaneously with lots of other nonsense hanging over this team. He’s actually bailed us out of some tough down and distance situations.
ORob, I don’t think Gesicki is going to get Goedert money and agree Goedert is a better overall TE. And I don’t really don’t know how our team views Gesicki moving forward. But he is going to get a nice contract. Goedert got a 4 year $59M extension with $35.7M guaranteed. I can see Gesicki getting 4 years $45M with $25M guaranteed. It might not be with us but I can see him getting that somewhere. His market is for teams that want a big pass catcher. Everyone spreads the field with pass catchers.
So does Jevon Holland look like a traditional FS or what? He has the instincts and speed to be a deep safety, but he also plays a role as a LOS guy and blitzer. I think we hit on him for sure. He’s just a rookie but his upside is nice! 🙂
Like Waddle and Phillips too. The 2nd season will be huge for all three.
I do not think Grier and Flores will be fired. Unless we finish the season 0-6 or 1-5 or something like that. At 4-7 I can see us going 3-3 the next 6 games. 7-10 is not a good look but it’s hard to come back from 1-7.
The 4th year of Grier and Flores cannot be the same as the 2021 season. If you wanted to bring in a new GM and HC who would they be? I have no idea who the answer would be.
It’s hard to come back from 1-7, but why is it acceptable to get to 1-7 in the first place? You have to look at the whole season. I think they both deserve a lot of blame. We’ll see how we finish, but that 1-7 has to be taken into account just as much as the 6 out of 9. We started shitty last season too. You can’t keep digging this huge hole and expect to have a good season.
we have a young team, they have to get use to playing together as a unit, you just don’t come out of the gate competing with vets.
a lot of rookie and 2nd year starters on this team,
you also don’t keep a revolving door as far as coaching is concerned, if you feel a guy is doing his job yet your record doesn’t reflect that do you fire him? who’s to say the guy you bring in to replace him will be any better, doing that sets your team back.
Rob – No doubt starting over hurts, but if you don’t think the guy you have is right, you don’t keep him for 10 years to have a stable team that doesn’t win. I have my doubts about both Grier and Flores. I think Flores needs better coordinators and I’m not sure he has the connections to get them.
Orob,
The coaches are responsible for the fact that this team is young and inexperienced. They’re the ones who made the call to move on from valuable vets on the o-line and defense. They’re the ones who promoted inexperienced OCs and let them rule by committee.
You can’t ignore the coaches are the biggest reason for the failure of the beginning of the season followed very closely by not having a proper backup for Tua.
That being said, I’m not one to say fire them. I even said so earlier in the season before the light came on for the team. They need to take a long hard look at what they did wrong and correct it. So far on defense it looks like that happened and it’s starting to show on offense, but barely. There’s only so much this team can do with this o-line and they still haven’t done that. The thing that is going to take this team to the next level offensively is if Tua puts in the work and makes this team his, and becomes the leader it needs him to be. He’s barely put in a full season worth of games. The things that are holding him back are poor coaching, the speed of the game, command of the offense, and confidence to lead the team.
I don’t think speed of the game is affecting Tua. Maybe the first couple games, but his decision making has been pretty stellar the last couple games. He made one bad throw for an interception last game but I was just that…a bad throw. Even Tom Boy makes those occasionally.
He’s good when he can get those first couple of reads quick, but he still struggles when he has to let plays develop and it’s not because his o-line isn’t giving him protection. He’s not at his peak yet and he’s still making certain throws late. I’m not expecting him to be because I know he hasn’t gotten the playing experience. He’s definitely improved from last year, but he’s still got work to do in that regard.
Those plays where Orob claims the ball is taking forever to get to the receiver due to a weak arm are because Tua is making the read too late and then making the throw. Even Kurt Warner has pointed it out.
ORob – I don’t have the time or inclination to engage in circular debates with someone who is either (a) trolling, (b) saying things just to be contrarian, or (c) makes shit up to fit his unfounded narrative. I think you are probably (a) because you do occasionally, when you’re not being an ass or playing victim, say something that is accurate, factual, and pertinent.
as for the coaches/ flores, it’s up to ross to hire these guys, he’s consistently failed, and the one thing all the coaches have in common that ross hired was, they were all rookie hc’s. if we do get a new hc, i sure hope that trend doesn’t continue.
that said i think you have to stay the course with flores. ross always gives a minimum of 4 years to hc’s, flores is in his 3rd year, one could argue that the first year shouldn’t count.
that would give him till the end of 23 to produce.
So if i don’t like a player on this team that someone else likes, say for instance Tua, and i criticize him. The person who doesn’t agree with my position on the matter feels somehow insulted and in return attacks me personally and calls me names.
Is there something wrong with this picture?
I don’t like a player’s ability on the field of play and I voice my opinion on the matter and that makes me a troll? And open for insults.
That’s a very stupid way to think, I just cant phathom why someone would feel that way?
As far as the continuation of the subjects, there are other posters who are reasonable who challenge my position in a polite manner. Am I supposed to not reply back to them?
I’m trying to learn what I’m supposed to do so that I don’t upset the nuts around here.
As for Tua’s lightning quick release, he has to do that due to the way the offense is designed. Teams are crowding the LOS on him, they are coming after him and daring him to beat them deep. That’s why there’s a misconception that the entire OL needs to be replaced.
I think that’s why the recent long balls have been successful, recs wide open deep. DC’s are giving up the deep balls because they don’t think Tua has the arm. Due to the recent success I’m sure there will be a small adjustment to their scheme. but still it looked as if Tua put everything he had into those throws and they were far from impressive.
“that said i think you have to stay the course with flores. ross always gives a minimum of 4 years to hc’s, flores is in his 3rd year, one could argue that the first year shouldn’t count”
O Rob, there has not been a coach under Ross that has made it a full 4 years. .
i think that’s his number, 4 years, sparano 08 to 11. philbin 12 to 15, gase 16 to 19, sure there were a few interims but i think that’s his procedure.
Sparano, 2008, 09, 10, did not finish 2011. Sparano, 12, 13, 14, didn’t finish 15. Gase was only 2016, 2017, 2018.
It may be semantics, but my statement was that nobody has made it 4 full years
he did start the final year, i think Ross was chasing harbaugh and harbaugh wouldn’t talk to him until he dumped sparano.
i think sparano was the best coach we had since shula.
I was just pointing out that Ross has given 4 years and Flores is not even finished with his 3rd year. i doubt he will be fired this year regardless of what the team does.
it doesnt line up with rosses past method of operation.
I will agree with you that it is unlikely IF the Dolphins continue to play well and win games the rest of the year OR if a shiny new name (like Harbaugh was) is available to him to pursue. You can never trust him on that part IMO

I don’t think Flores likes Gesicki’s game, he was benched earlier and made no effort to resign him last summer in a contract year, i doubt it matters what the cost is, Gesicki is history.
Here are the targets to Gesicki by game 3, 6, 12, 6, 7, 9, 8, 4, 8, 7, 6. Seems pretty consistent. In which game(s) was he benched?
I’m not sure i’m allowed to coninue the debate about Gesicki around here, the local nuts don’t like this kinda talk.
but since i respect you here goes.
he wasn’t on the field that much early, The local media were wondering why Gesicki had limited playing time. then the started using him in the slot.
that’s not to say he was not playing at all.
I just think he is a weapon that is hard to defend no matter where you put him. He is a talented player and seems to be a good football player who brings energy. The Dolphins have gotten rid of good players in the past and I would hate to see them let this guy go.
He has a place on this team, IMO, regardless of what position you want to call him. He has balled when given the chance and is one of the few assets to a team that has struggled offensively. I would love to keep him, it is up to management to decide at what cost, but as a fan, I really don’t care, i just want him on our team..
No doubt he’s made some great catches, the thing is that comes with a price, for me players like Gesicki are not conducive to winning.
I’m of the pro set play action smash mouth football mindset. He’s too timid.
and now i have to negotiate a contract with him that will strap me to a situational player as IMO he’s not an every down player, he comes in only in passing situations.
I can get a real slot rec instead of a converted T.E. due to his lack of blocking ability.
and it would seem the people who make the decisions are not buying into him either.
If you have a player who you think is one of your best, you don’t let him hit the F.A market, you resign him early. and that’s not the case with this F.O.
IMO we need weapons, and he is a weapon who plays every week and defenses have to account for no matter the situation. For me that is valuable to this team, and I would franchise him. Not my decision though, obviously, and I am not sure I trust this organization to make good decisions anymore.
He is a part time weapon, he’s also a liability, our running game has to account for him also.
weigh that against resigning him to a multi year deal or a franchised massive cap hit.
if he was all that you’d think they would’ve made an offer last summer.
I think this team has already demonstrated their position.
They may make Gesicki an offer after the season, i doubt he’ll accept it, he’ll hit the open market and get a better deal elsewhere.
i hope he goes to the jets
Biden offers 50 million barrels of oil from our reserve to combat the ridiculous price of gas, that’s like being invited to thanksgiving and bringing two triscuits with you to share.
I can’t go my whole life never buying a jersey again – and no, I don’t want to buy a retired jerseys player. If the curse is real, the retired player will die in a fiery car crash a week after I buy the jersey and I don’t want that on my conscious
O Rob,
We will just have to disagree on Gesicki. I believe he was drafted to be a weapon in the passing game, not as a blocker. He has to be accounted for on Defense whenever he is on the field. if the D has to cover him with a CB that weakens their coverage elsewhere and also can weaken their run defense, if they use a linebacker, it is a mismatch for us. Even above all that, he has shown to be uncoverable at times, and with Tua’s accuracy he is even more of an asset.(Plus he is available every week) This is JMO, but I don’t think we will ever see eye to eye on his value specifically to this team.
But he’s not a good run blocker and ORob wants a power running game. Simple as that other than he knows a lot of Gesicki fans on the board (which is the bonus of going after him).
This isn’t a running league anymore. Nobody builds an offense around power running anymore except maybe Tenn. Gesicki is exactly the sort of weapon teams are looking for right now. They may decide not to sign him due to the cost, but it won’t be because he isn’t a good player or telegraphs anything, which is just dumb for so many reasons. If the OC can’t figure out a way to use Gesicki, then they shouldn’t be an OC. It’s not that difficult. Franchise him if necessary, but you definitely want to at least try to figure out a way t9 keep him if you can.
Gesicki is an awesome option. You are really lining him up instead of that nifty quick slot receiver but he’s 6′ 6″, 250 and an awesome athlete on top of it, even if not as good at the quick cut catches close in as a typical little slot guy. But he thrives in the deep middle and who you gonna cover him with? LB won’t do it. A 6 foot safety? He must be a nightmare for DCs to scheme against.
It’s fuck’n pure stupidity to think you can win without a balanced offense, you have to be able to run to win.
and to use Tenn as an example is even more confusing?
it’s a passing league yet Tenn has the number 1 seed and is a running team.
Houston, Miami, Atl and the jets are the 4 bottom rushing teams, I wonder what else they have in common…Hmmm?
Randy didn’t say you could win without a balanced offense. He said teams aren’t generally building around being a power running team and it’s true. You can still rely on an effective run game, show balance and be a top contender. Randy didn’t refute any of that.
you also have teams that can run the ball but due to the great QBs they have they tend to pass more, take the Bucs for example, Fournette is a great RB but Brady his rifle arm and his rec’s trump that.
unfortunately we are blessed with a water pistol, so running the ball would be very helpful to say the least!
i’m done talking about the wimp, you know where i stand, we shall see march 16th where the team stands in reference to him.
If it goes my way i expect all of you on your knees begging for forgiveness.
Makes you wonder why we complain about Tua so much.

“Tagovailoa is already near the top in several Dolphins career passer charts. He is second in completion percentage (65.7 pct.), third in passer rating (88.8) and tied for fifth in 300-yard passing games (3).”
I wouldn’t classify 2 people as we, but you also have to look at his competition for these stats. It’s not like we’ve had a steady group of QB’s who have gone through this franchise.
bunch of outta touch outta towners,
oh yeah, Thanks Home.
Home was a great friend of mine, never had a cross word with him.
most of you don’t know the whole story why he went rogue.
I find the information presented and the opinions of those that are “out of towners” every bit as knowledgeable and relevant as those that may chose to live in Florida.
And by the way, the person who writes all of the excellent articles on this sight is an out of towner.
this guy name jet fan crucified home, he had his minions who by the way were fin fans join in, mf 13 was there.
home took it to heart and went ballistic. he was never the same after that.
he is a smart dude with great insight, i never had a cross word with him, i don’t think mf 13 did either.

Criticizing Gesicki’s blocking is like criticizing Padma Lakshmi’s looks because she has scars on her arm.
***
Lmao
Good analogy
I love Padma
I never noticed her arm
But I did notice that she is a really slow talker which drives me crazy
I honestly have a moral objection to talking about people who aren’t here to defend themselves or give their perspective or point of view so I don’t really want to engage in talking about some of the names mentioned today
Most of you know me as a confrontational piggy – which I don’t deny
But I don’t like to talk about someone who’s not here
Who are you talking about? Home and Jet Fan are two of the only three people to get banned from the board along with Walker (back in the fighting with Gigi days). Seems they didn’t earn much right to not be talked about.
I seriously have no idea what you are referring to stanger. I don’t want to discuss anyone who isn’t here to defend themselves. It’s just that simple to me.
Sorry Pig — that was to Ken who was at the sit down. And cause you are one of my favorite people…. glad not to talk about the banned guys, or at least won’t bring them up.
The Florida rains drench the native Floridians with Miami Dolphins knowledge. It is known. It is also known that some native Floridians get soggy brains. Just the way it works
Guess this becomes the reverse of the RIttenhouse verdict, except maybe the circumstances were very different.
————————–
“A Georgia jury decided Wednesday to convict the three white men accused of murdering 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed Black jogger.
Father and son Greg and Travis McMichael and their neighbor, William “Roddie” Bryan, faced nine felony charges during the trial. All defendants face a minimum sentence of life in prison.”
He also brought up the rittenhouse verdict when it happened
He’s not being one sided on this
I think the 2 things have nothing to do with one another as you do – but stanger brings up all the latest controversial news. That’s his style and good for him. Every time you guys suggest he’s only doing it to one side it totally undermines how many times he has done this to my side of the fence which goes unnoticed bc I don’t confront him about it
I was interested in how both cases coming out in the last few weeks involved self-defense. And one verdict went one way and the other the other. Interested the lawyer in me.
And in both cases I broke the news of the verdict. Are both of them about the right? They are huge national cases. For the left and right. If it is national headline news should I not pay attention cause the right is interested?
Thanks Pig — I appreciate. And for the record when I bring up good pro-right news I get hit on for not being as enthusiastic about it as I should. No good deed goes unpunished. 🙂

ORob — I got a kick out of home too, except for when he spammed the SS board. Saw him once at a Dolphin’s practice. Did you ever meet him in person?
______________________________________
No i never did, he said he had seen me at the first fest i went too, but i had never met him before.
I remember that Fest well. He said he met/saw/talked to a bunch of people that day. Was even sending us long e-mails about it. Regret he just wouldn’t join us since he put in the effort to be there. But we all have our own issues in life.
I use to go to a dolphin bar in pompano, i think it was Brus room, Bob Brudzinski owned it. there was this guy that came there before and after games, he was dressed to the hilt in a dolphin get up. i always thought that may be home.
I just started with this Broker, i had been with him before and he pays for leads, he charges his agents for leads, so as soon as i get there i have a deal. it closes, when i go to get my ck it’s $450 short. i ask the sec why? she said it’s because i owe past lead dues.
from June of 2020 to when i quit him in April 2021.
in June of 2020 i sent her an Email to remove me from the leads. she didn’t respond to that email and i have not gotten the balance.
kinda pissed me off, $450 is not much to get upset about but it’s the point of the matter.
not sure how i’m going to handle this as i have other interest with this broker, i may get to a point where i minimize my interest and file small claims against his co.
i would probably lose more pursuing this crap it’s just the point that the sec put her little grubby hands on my funds and even though it is clear as day i’m not responsible she or the broker doesn’t move to correct it.
you can’t chase down a guy and invoke a citizens arrest without proof he has committed a crime, they violated his constitutional rights created a situation and the victim was killed in the process.
even if he was tresspassing? that was not against the law, tresspassing the owner of the property has to give you an order to stay off the property. then if you come back you’re subject to arrest.
They were both about self defense. One case it worked and the other it did not. 911 call in the Arbery case was literally “black man running down the street.”
call it what you like, when you are ran down by 3 men in trucks pointing guns at you just because you looked at a const job, you get in a tussle and they shoot you.
that’s not self defense. they had no right to detain the man. they created the incident.
Tim — Arbery ran at the guy with the shotgun who killed him. Just based on that instance self-defense. But self defense goes away if you created the situation. And that is what the jury found.
He’s not telling you his opinion of whether it’s self defense ORob and Tim. He’s telling you that both cases used self defense as a defense to excuse the murder
Obviously the juries make those decision on whether it actually is or not.
I think most rationale people would agree that the facts of each are much different. And in the Arbery case – self defense seems absurd. But the reality is – on 2 high profile cases, that was the defense that was plead
Okay, understood. I felt that Arbery was trying to disarm the guy so he wouldn’t get shot. But those three hunted him and got what they deserved. If they felt he was up to no good just call the cops. But I think they had other things in mind.
I also don’t think those two cases should be looked at as right or left, but that seems to happen with everything these days. The white supremacist narrative about Rittenhouse was fucking stupid though. Even our president said that which was totally irresponsible. But I’m not sure he even knows what’s going on anyway. He’s really losing it and that has nothing to do with politics either. It’s true, he can barely talk coherently. It’s sad whether you agree with his politics or not.

I hear ya, but he isn’t here to defend himself at this point… I think that’s part of why Pig posted what he posted above, and I know for a fact that Son doesn’t like people talking about others when they cannot defend themselves (in the moment or otherwise), either.
He said some really nasty stuff about people both on whatever board we had and at various others places on the internet. Guess all depends if he went after you or others as far as how much you liked him.
I didn’t bring him up, a bunch of you did. Your opinion of him baffles me. Maybe you forgot how rude, racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and downright disgusting he really was/is. I guess I’m not sure what your guidelines are for cool people.
I merely stated that we never had a cross word and we were always respectful to one another. While everybody else was playing WW3 with him, I was Switzerland.

That might be a good pick up
But his production has seriously declined recently and That’s always an eyebrow raiser for a RB.
—————-
Agreed, on all accounts. Don’t know why Lindsay declined, but I’m assuming an injury of sorts? Haven’t looked into what happened, but he topped 1,000 rushing yards twice in Denver (for those who didn’t already know).
This hasn’t been updated for over a year, but here’s this on Lindsay…
Sep 14, 2020 NFL Pedal Toe Sprain Lindsay suffered a toe sprain in Week 1 game against the Titans. He missed 3 games
Oct 25, 2020 NFL Head Cranial Concussion Grade 1 Lindsay suffered a head injury in the first half of the Broncos’ Week 7 game against the Chiefs. He was available for the next game
Nov 29, 2020 NFL Knee MCL Pull Grade 1 Phillip sustained a minor knee injury during the Broncos’ game against the New Orleans Saints. He was active for the next game
Dec 15, 2020 NFL Inguinal Hip Strain Lindsay was questionable for 15’s game against the Bills as he suffered a hip injury. He was active in that game
Dec 19, 2020 NFL Knee Strain Grade 1 Lindsay suffered a knee injury in the Broncos’ loss to the Bills. The knee and then aggravated hip injury put him on the sidelines for the 2020 season.
Dec 24, 2018 NFL Hand Wrist Ligament Tear Lindsay suffered a wrist injury during the second-half loss to the Oakland Raiders. He missed the Broncos’ season finale against the Charger
^ It amazes me the cuddly feeling some have for him. I don’t think some people remember how disgusting he was. Like really fucking disgusting.
Some of you here say stuff like I know he gave you a hard time, Tim, but he was always cool with me. Fuck that! I gave it right back to him that’s why he would go after me. I got under his skin. It bothered me more what he said about others.
Just to answer your 2:14 PM post up the board, I’ve never once had a cross word with him either: nothing but respect.

Home was nothing but a disrespectful lowlife to me and others here spewing antisemitic comments the last time I had an interaction with him on Tin’s blog less than a year ago. Do you have any idea the latitude we give people here and there’s ONE who is banned. I’m sure Hitler was a swell guy to some too. To others, not so much
Maybe it was posted here earlier, but not sure. Eric Rowe said he gets FIRED UP when he hears Cam talking smack… that only Cam and Phil Rivers triggered him the way they talk in-game.
I think that FIRE is going to carry our Defense… not to mention, our Defense would love to stick it to Cam.
He said horrible things about many people including attacking family members. He got to see pictures of fests and made fun of everyone while the coward he is would never show his douche bag face. But if that’s cool, ONE LUV!!!
Isn’t jetssuck banned as well?
that poor guy had a stroke, it definitely affected him mentally, he was kool then all of a sudden he went off the deep end, it was most definitely the stroke he suffered.
Yes he’s banned. He also at one point was in a big old fight with OD and was calling OD’s work, which really wasn’t cool. He went away after that but came back a couple years later and started going after Momma Bear. Attacking Herd is a guaranteed ticket out.
i’m not sure i was around for that, he changed after his stroke. it really fucked him up, when he was in the hospital he was trying to post but the letters made no sense. badly miss spelling shit
Rob, as far as I’m concerned there is. He showed me no respect at all, he’s not a good person. I’m just going by any interaction I’ve personally had with him. If you like him feel free to put up posters of him in your room.
I don’t know him, no need to get testy, i was just conversating, i wasn’t aware the stain they both left behind, it clearly bothers you so i won’t bring it up again.
i like you way better than both those guys.
Be THANKFUL!!! It’s in the name of the holiday!!! Safe travels to you and/or yours who may be traveling, enjoy yourself with fam and/or friends, and may y’all feel the spirit of the holiday.
San Francisco is looting it’s stores, i hear more looting to come in Dem run states.
these people are crazy, these stores are all closing, pretty soon you wont be able to buy a bar of soap in san francisco.
I’m expecting a flood of people leaving calif for FL
I paid $95 for a 10 lbs honey baked ham at honey bake store, you’re getting too high priced, but since it’s one of your relatives i didn’t mind the cost.
Here is the 3rd down throw to Waddle. Tight coverage on the sideline outside the numbers
very weak
LOL you are funny when you are in denial
People are fooled, by his quick release, accuracy and anticipation, into thinking his arm is strong
If Tua tried to launch more of a rainbow throw he likely gets his arm hit from behind which could be a sack and a fumble or it gets deflected for a possible pick. He had to throw more of a bullet with less arc to make that play. Less arc is less distance. It’s pretty simple.
It also looked like a broken coverage and safety was coming over late. Had to get it to Hollins as quick as he could.
Yes you see it on the replay that he knew he had little time to get rid of that ball because of pressure and while Hollins was still wide open. It was a great play.
Didn’t see Waddle wide open on that throw.
was a different game, they were breaking down waddle
look at the effort tua has on that loopy pass. he’s giving it all he has and it looks weak
Okay 😆
we are all just fans, the guys that run this team and the owner know way more than we do, they see these guys on a daily basis.
so it begs to question????
if tua is all that…….why is the owner talking to watson?
Based on Ross’s track record he was probably ready to make another bad decision mean if Ross is your measuring stick your analysis is in trouble
do you realize that all your post support your agenda? and your agenda is supporting a 4-7 team?
i feel bad that Tua has you brainwashed.
you’re in need of rehabilitation
your reply is outlandish.
the reason ross is talking to watson is because grier and flores want him too, and they know they made a huge mistake with tua
Mental gymnastics gold once again. When you can’t argue the facts try something else
Who is the owner of the team that has been mired in mediocrity for 13 years since Ross has taken over and that is your measuring stick lol
I like Tua
But on that 3rd down throw to waddle – I was really impressed with waddle
Don’t forget the receiver on catches like that
Absolutely. Great play by both Tua and Waddle
Waddle runs really good routes and has has excellent hands. Tua is very accurate. That’s how you get a play like that.
The Flying Pig says:

Some one on Twitter is flipping plays so you can see how they look if Tua was right handed
—————-
THANK YOU, PIGSTER!!!
GREAT THROW by TUA!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
It’s a common problem and misconception.
I realize that, Ken… I even admitted it regarding myself. Yet, I’m STILL a Tua supporter.
Dare I say… that looks like a Dan Marino-esque play to me!!!
Alright I have had enough fun. I am off to the gym
Now just imagine if we had a legit O-Line and a legit running game!
Who moved all those green dots over the sides !!! That can’t be true 🤯
As much shade as is thrown our QB’s way these days reminds me of good times in the past….. and this guy.

LOL
Brian Daboll said this about the accuracy of QB’s and Tua,
“All of them can drop back seven steps and hit a house with the ball. Some of them can hit the door. A few can even hit the doorknob. Tua can hit the keyhole.”
Tua is accurate as anything. And close in has the velocity to bust the door down.
Interesting from Joe Schad — “The Dolphins used three tight ends at least 64 percent of the time on Sunday.”
Never even heard of such before, but might make ORob’s case that Gesicki is really just a receiver.
Over The Cap is projecting the 2022 TE franchise tag amount to be $11 mil. Why are you thinking will be so much more than that?
https://overthecap.com/franchise-transition-and-rfa-tenders/
Goedert contract, i heard 14 to 15 mil to franchise
Seems to me that Goedert’s contract might be a good indication of Gesicki’s market value without the franchise. Last year’s TE tag amount was less than $10 mil.
either or
I don’t think Flores likes Gesicki’s game, he was benched earlier and made no effort to resign him last summer in a contract year, i doubt it matters what the cost is, Gesicki is history.
so how much do you pay gesicki as a slot rec? is he more valuable than Robert Woods? ceedee lamb? Cooper Kupp?
if you are going to pay a slot rec, get a real one.
All three of those guys are more than just slot receivers. Gesicki also lines up wide on the boundary. He plays the slot, H-back and goes in motion inside too. It’s not just one set position. Gesicki is not the reason this offense isn’t consistent. It’s too young and too new simultaneously with lots of other nonsense hanging over this team. He’s actually bailed us out of some tough down and distance situations.
Goedert is a much better T.E. than gesicki
SBJ – Why are you guys engaging ORob? He is baiting you like you’re fuckin’ guppies.
I find it fun to counter him. Some of us also discuss other parts of the team than just Tua and Gesicki. 🙂
I know right? they should be engaging you and discussing your occasional pot shots, how interesting your posts are, what was i thinking?
so when will your guppies be free agents? just curious.
Fricking groundhogs day in here
So does Jevon Holland look like a traditional FS or what?
You can’t keep digging this huge hole and expect to have a good season.
we have a young team, they have to get use to playing together as a unit, you just don’t come out of the gate competing with vets.
a lot of rookie and 2nd year starters on this team,
you also don’t keep a revolving door as far as coaching is concerned, if you feel a guy is doing his job yet your record doesn’t reflect that do you fire him? who’s to say the guy you bring in to replace him will be any better, doing that sets your team back.
where’s wyoming been?
In Texas.
By speed of the game, SB means how quickly defenders are on his ass after the snap. lol
My guppies are always free agents.
if the content bothers you that much why not just scroll by it?
I would never engage you in a reasonable conv, that’s not what you’re here for.
i talk football, you take pot shots, and i’m the Troll?
you’re backwards
you’re being Davidesque
as for the coaches/ flores, it’s up to ross to hire these guys, he’s consistently failed, and the one thing all the coaches have in common that ross hired was, they were all rookie hc’s. if we do get a new hc, i sure hope that trend doesn’t continue.
that said i think you have to stay the course with flores. ross always gives a minimum of 4 years to hc’s, flores is in his 3rd year, one could argue that the first year shouldn’t count.
that would give him till the end of 23 to produce.
Lmfao!!!!
I need to write forever!!!!
Can one of the Admins remove the spam please?
Careful what you ask for lol

LOL
you’re as funny as a peaceful leftwing protest
“that said i think you have to stay the course with flores. ross always gives a minimum of 4 years to hc’s, flores is in his 3rd year, one could argue that the first year shouldn’t count”
O Rob, there has not been a coach under Ross that has made it a full 4 years. .
Facts scmacts.
i think that’s his number, 4 years, sparano 08 to 11. philbin 12 to 15, gase 16 to 19, sure there were a few interims but i think that’s his procedure.

I think Flores and Grier get one more year. I’d be surprised if either is let go. Then, next year is no excuses; it’s playoffs or changes.
Ken, i need to know where to send your christmas gift?

I have to give an LOL on that even though we all have some football knowledge. Send me a copy while you’re at it. lol
They may make Gesicki an offer after the season, i doubt he’ll accept it, he’ll hit the open market and get a better deal elsewhere.
i hope he goes to the jets
He will get franchised at a minimum, even if like any player he could get traded. He won’t just walk.
Biden offers 50 million barrels of oil from our reserve to combat the ridiculous price of gas, that’s like being invited to thanksgiving and bringing two triscuits with you to share.
It’s not spoken about a lot
But did you know that the infrastructure will probably lower the cost of gas
it’s expected to boost demand for oil immediately and production of crude oil

Think of the biscuits as appetizer
I don’t know if this plan will work – but, we will know before the election of 2024 whether it did or not
So serious question guys
Should I buy a waddle jersey
The curse is over isn’t it?
I can’t go my whole life never buying a jersey again – and no, I don’t want to buy a retired jerseys player. If the curse is real, the retired player will die in a fiery car crash a week after I buy the jersey and I don’t want that on my conscious
Buy that jersey and I am buying 10 pounds of bacon 🥓
If you buy 1o pounds of bacon
That will increase demand for bacon
And then the price of bacon will drop
And I will be less valuable as a grocery item….and I’ll feel a little safer
Baconomics?
Safest jersey on the team to get right now, except maybe a Holland.
Criticizing Gesicki’s blocking is like criticizing Padma Lakshmi’s looks because she has scars on her arm.
O Rob,
We will just have to disagree on Gesicki.
Everyone knows this…well almost everyone
again, try (football for dummies)
Randy didn’t refute any of that.
you also have teams that can run the ball but due to the great QBs they have they tend to pass more, take the Bucs for example, Fournette is a great RB but Brady his rifle arm and his rec’s trump that.
unfortunately we are blessed with a water pistol, so running the ball would be very helpful to say the least!
i wonder why shaheen starts over gesicki?
“The Dolphins used three tight ends at least 64 percent of the time on Sunday.”
You really worried about the opening snap formation? There is no doubt that Gesicki was not lined up on 36% of the plays for the game.
i’m done talking about the wimp, you know where i stand, we shall see march 16th where the team stands in reference to him.
If it goes my way i expect all of you on your knees begging for forgiveness.
Cool by me. Can’t speak for everyone else, but then you’ve been known to bring up Gesicki at times. So maybe that will chill down convo on him.
again with the subtle shots, you have that mastered
Don’t even know what the subtle shots are there, but even assuming they are there isn’t it better than being overt and in your face?
Makes you wonder why we complain about Tua so much.

“Tagovailoa is already near the top in several Dolphins career passer charts. He is second in completion percentage (65.7 pct.), third in passer rating (88.8) and tied for fifth in 300-yard passing games (3).”
I wouldn’t classify 2 people as we, but you also have to look at his competition for these stats. It’s not like we’ve had a steady group of QB’s who have gone through this franchise.
If one of those 2 people isn’t me, make it 3. Was not pleased last year. But yeah looking lot better this year.
he’s as good as marino!
bunch of outta touch outta towners,
oh yeah, Thanks Home.
Home was a great friend of mine, never had a cross word with him.
most of you don’t know the whole story why he went rogue.
Why are you insulting me? I am out of town.
By the way, this post will not help your cause any.
present company exempt, the out of touchers know who i’m referring too.
Ocala isn’t in Miami either, so he’s included.
I find the information presented and the opinions of those that are “out of towners” every bit as knowledgeable and relevant as those that may chose to live in Florida.
And by the way, the person who writes all of the excellent articles on this sight is an out of towner.
O Rob, which section are your season tickets in?
exactly, however i was born and raised in miami so wherever i go doesn’t count, i know the people who know.
the couch section
to keep going on about gesicki shows they are not in touch with what’s really going on in S FL. it’s quite the opposite
this guy name jet fan crucified home, he had his minions who by the way were fin fans join in, mf 13 was there.

he is a smart dude with great insight, i never had a cross word with him, i don’t think mf 13 did either.
Maybe the chemtrails caused him to go ballistic.
ORob — I got a kick out of home too, except for when he spammed the SS board. Saw him once at a Dolphin’s practice. Did you ever meet him in person?

Criticizing Gesicki’s blocking is like criticizing Padma Lakshmi’s looks because she has scars on her arm.
***
Lmao
Good analogy
I love Padma
I never noticed her arm
But I did notice that she is a really slow talker which drives me crazy
Just me?
I honestly have a moral objection to talking about people who aren’t here to defend themselves or give their perspective or point of view so I don’t really want to engage in talking about some of the names mentioned today
Most of you know me as a confrontational piggy – which I don’t deny
But I don’t like to talk about someone who’s not here
Can we stop that?
Who are you talking about? Home and Jet Fan are two of the only three people to get banned from the board along with Walker (back in the fighting with Gigi days). Seems they didn’t earn much right to not be talked about.
I’m talking about the mention of home and jestssuck
The only 2 people ever banned from this site
LOL — this site yes. But then we had the Fest sit-down conference on Walker. Was like the Cuban Missile crisis. 🙂
I’m not gonna tell you what to talk about. But for me -I don’t like to speak about people who aren’t here
It doesn’t just involve “banned” people. People keep bringing up why some people aren’t here and it’s a little outrageous.
I just don’t really care for those conversations
And I am cool with that and will not talk about unless come up. But then wasn’t the one who brought them up today either.
I know
The Florida rains drench the native Floridians with Miami Dolphins knowledge. It is known. It is also known that some native Floridians get soggy brains. Just the way it works
I can see Hard Rock out my window. I know more about the Phins than any of you. 🙂
“Brian Flores revealed Wednesday morning that Vince Beigel would be signed to the 53-man roster off the team’s practice squad.”
When he hears about it
Guess this becomes the reverse of the RIttenhouse verdict, except maybe the circumstances were very different.
What does it have to with Rittenhouse?
Both big cases. In one the defendant got off and in the other the defendants did not. Biggest case in the last weeks.
I ask, because you only bring up events like this of things that happen to the right
He also brought up the rittenhouse verdict when it happened
so just stick to bashing the left, they are more bashable anyway
That might be a good pick up
But his production has seriously declined recently and That’s always an eyebrow raiser for a RB.
nice!

Not the Home I know. But who knows…… maybe there are ten of them.
i don’t know if it was home, just speculating, i did ask him if he’d ever gone there and he said yes.
Mike, I wasn’t excusing the 1-7 start. Just what I think might be the case moving forward.
Omar says Twitter is buzzing about Tua’s weak arm, shaking his head he doesn’t think Tua has a weak arm.
The Rittenhouse case was more about self defense. The Arbery case was about murdering an innocent guy.
correct, unlawful pursuit.
you can’t chase down a guy and invoke a citizens arrest without proof he has committed a crime, they violated his constitutional rights created a situation and the victim was killed in the process.
even if he was tresspassing? that was not against the law, tresspassing the owner of the property has to give you an order to stay off the property. then if you come back you’re subject to arrest.
guilty, hang their asses!
They were both about self defense. One case it worked and the other it did not. 911 call in the Arbery case was literally “black man running down the street.”
How was the Arbery case about self defense? The three shithead racists murdered him.
call it what you like, when you are ran down by 3 men in trucks pointing guns at you just because you looked at a const job, you get in a tussle and they shoot you.
that’s not self defense. they had no right to detain the man. they created the incident.
Technically they both plead self defense
But you can see how a jury applies facts to those circumstances in each.
“Anybody can go look at my naked body without my consent, any time of the day.”

I want to look at her naked body
Well she says you can, even if was brought up in the context of getting hacked and naked pics hitting the web.

No doubt he’s made some great catches, the thing is that comes with a price, for me players like Gesicki are not conducive to winning.”
And one of many comments from you that are in complete disagreement with you and seriously question judgement…lmfao!!!
It’s not attacking you.
You’re a pussy!!!
Oops, I meant to delete that! Oh well. It’s true! Lol!
Be nice — have to keep in mind he’s a very sensitive guy. So what you say to him isn’t the same as to others. Think kindly.
And, one of our best players!
I have to go back and see where the Jennifer Lawrence discussion started…
wow. carolina opens as a slight favorite over miami
i like the fact we have a bye late, it will give us a rest to make a final push
Not much for error if any.
Gotta insert ^room in there. LOL
need to stop their running back
mc caffrey?
Yeah and he’s not an easy guy to contain. He has really good quickness and shifty moves. Cam is also riding a new high so we have to contain him too.
they also have some decent outside rush
i’m certainly glad we have homefield
You mean the 20,000 fans?
ORob,
Just to answer your 2:14 PM post up the board, I’ve never once had a cross word with him either: nothing but respect.
Except for the disgusting shit he said about many people, he was just swell. SMH
I hear ya, but he isn’t here to defend himself at this point… I think that’s part of why Pig posted what he posted above, and I know for a fact that Son doesn’t like people talking about others when they cannot defend themselves (in the moment or otherwise), either.
He was particularly hard on Tim
He said some really nasty stuff about people both on whatever board we had and at various others places on the internet. Guess all depends if he went after you or others as far as how much you liked him.
I didn’t bring him up, a bunch of you did. Your opinion of him baffles me. Maybe you forgot how rude, racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and downright disgusting he really was/is. I guess I’m not sure what your guidelines are for cool people.
I merely stated that we never had a cross word and we were always respectful to one another. While everybody else was playing WW3 with him, I was Switzerland.

Agreed, on all accounts. Don’t know why Lindsay declined, but I’m assuming an injury of sorts? Haven’t looked into what happened, but he topped 1,000 rushing yards twice in Denver (for those who didn’t already know).
I sure hope he works out for us.
Yeah, Home gets all the respect in the world because he’s not here. Hitler’s not here either but the both of them can eat a big bag of dicks
It bothered me more what he said about others.
look at the abuse i put up with, and the posters are still here, you should forgive and forget. after all it was just words
The one part could never forgive for was spamming the SS board. That was just a hissy fit that ruined it for everyone else.

Remember the topix days when Jet Fan was going at him hard? i think that’s when he had his meltdown, there were a few other people as well killing him. prior to that he was just your average poster. the abuse he took changed him, now he was going after anyone who had the slightest hint of BS towards him.
the imposter was killing him!
I do concur with ya, man… that’s my recollection as well.
Now I believe it’s best we move on from the topic, meaning EVERYBODY.
M, do me a favor, and yourself a favor, keep your advice to yourself. To others, not so much
M13, so while someone is attacking people, you prefer to offer them tea and biscuits? LOL
Exactly, this amazes me.
Sorry Pig, but Home deserves no respect and just hammered on long time posters here
MF 13, how bout them dolphins? are we going to shut down cam this weekend?
Maybe it was posted here earlier, but not sure. Eric Rowe said he gets FIRED UP when he hears Cam talking smack… that only Cam and Phil Rivers triggered him the way they talk in-game.
I think that FIRE is going to carry our Defense… not to mention, our Defense would love to stick it to Cam.
tomorrow we need,
Buff at N.O., we need N.O. to win,
LV @ Dallas Go Boys
I didn’t know that was such a touchy subject for some
He said horrible things about many people including attacking family members.
Ok, so TWO, Hitler and Himler.
dude please, there’s no comparison!
Mike E,
Any thoughts on the signing of Phillip Lindsay?
I hadn’t heard about it. Very busy day today. I used to really like him, he’s a tough, dirty runner, but injuries have always hampered him
That’s my take as well… injury-riddled.
LOL, darty not dirty
LOL, sharty not shitty! 😀
Phillip Lindsay doesn’t excite me. I think he’s done.
A healthy Phillip Lindsay does excite me, but guess can say that about a number of guys on our team. And like you suggest, he did just get cut.
I tend to agree… maybe just seeing if there’s anything left to salvage, leaving no stone unturned. He didn’t even cost us a song.
You think that’s testy?
In fact you’re not that far behind Krishna 🙂
everything was great accept “feel free to put up posters of him in your room”
If you saw him you’d just feel sorry for him. There but for the Grace of God. My guess is he just likes as much attention as he can get.
————–
Is this FINALLY the year Zach gets in?!!
Hope so!! I definitely think he deserves it
HAPPY that you had the privilege of actually meeting the man!!!
GO ZACH!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
Fuck Home. Fuck Jetssuck I don’t care if they are here or not to defend themselves. Actually glad they are not here.
Agreed
The posters were tongue in cheek. Don’t be as frail as Gesicki now Rob
it really hurt
LMAO! You’re good Rob
Lindsay is another 5’8”, 180 shifty RB. Need some beef back there.
Prayers up to Everson Griffen, that he gets the help he needs. That’s some crazy stuff, whatever he’s going through again (mental health issues).
M – meeting Zach was such a great experience. I felt like a 10 year old at times during our long conversation.
I can relate (music) to meeting a hero of mine for the first time. YES!!! I felt like a 10-year-old, too! Great analogy. Star-struck, I was!
It’s something that one will NEVER forget!
Absolutely, starstruck was I
I must run.
Be THANKFUL!!! It’s in the name of the holiday!!! Safe travels to you and/or yours who may be traveling, enjoy yourself with fam and/or friends, and may y’all feel the spirit of the holiday.

You got a full on snowstorm or just flurries? Are you traveling?
Just some light snow showers. At home
Eat Turkey
They are jerks
Don’t worry there’s sausage in the stuffing
I paid $95 for a 10 lbs honey baked ham at honey bake store, you’re getting too high priced, but since it’s one of your relatives i didn’t mind the cost.
Those are great! Having that also.
