I want to play Cincy!
I want to bury Burrow and plant a Tua headstone above him!!!!!!
————-
Wyoming wins the internet
Waddle is to Tua as the blanket is to Linus
Without Waddle against the jets Tua threw 2 ints and felt uncomfortable
Against the jets it didn’t matter, but last night it might have
I want to play the bengals too
It can happen
If the playoff teams stay as they are, it’s wild that 3 of the AFC teams will be from our division.
AFC East and NFC West are the best divisions in football
The Jax game is galling because we had them 3rd & 20 and then 4th & 8 on the last drive and let them convert to get into FG range. (53 yarder)
There was another game this year we lost because of officiating. On the same drive they called a phantom roughing the passer on 3rd and long and then a phantom PI on 3rd and long two plays later.
Hopefully, these do not wind up mattering and are forgotten in the “incredible comeback narrative” after we win the next 6 games.
Let Eich continue to grow at LT. Sign Trent Brown to play RT. Draft upgrades to LG and OC like Thayer Munford from Ohio State who can also backup LT and an OC like Jarrett Patterson, ND.
Like much of the draft, this is not the best of years for OC’s. A good number of them are too light in the pants for the NFL (under 300 pounds). Only exception to that is Linderbaum who has elite talent. It will depend on which juniors declare for the draft.
I had my eyes on Texas A&M OC Luke Matthews who is the son of HOF Bruce Matthews and uncle is Clay Matthews but he had a season ending injury (right shoulder) in the beginning of the season and may return for his senior year now. He was considered a preseason first rounder with Linderbaum. If he does decide to enter the draft and slide, he would be a steal. Dude is a stud like his dad and can play anywhere in the middle.

👍
It’s a shorter trip to Nashville from here in New Orleans than it is home.
I’m saying we should stay on the road, wife not so much.
Lol
We were not the only ones that noticed….
https://twitter.com/NealDriscoll/status/1475671633197211653?s=20
Griese couldn’t bring himself to say anything good about the dolphins. And he was killing me with tthe “Tua needs to be more consistent…” bullshit. How can you be more consistent than a nearly 70 percent completion rate?
^^^^^
well put
It was fun watching a game in the dome. I saw UCF play Tulane there about 11 years ago but there was hardly anyone there. The Saints fans packed the place last night even though I was pleased and surprised by the amount of Fins fans there. For the over all fan experience I’d rather watch a game at Hard Rock.
What else are you gonna do Son? Life’s short. Make it happen.
Was meant as a reply to your other post about staying on the road and going to Tennessee.
I’m really torn on re-signing Gesicki. I see his talent. I see what he can provide this offense, but our OC’s have no clue how to use him. I’d hate to see him go to another team and blow up, but if we aren’t going to use him properly, I’d like that money to go to some veteran o-line.
Go figure! One of the cocos is our TE coach too!
I agree. He is no good on those short routes for sure. It’s his giraffe running style. He can’t make anyone miss or run through anyone either.
I think we have plenty of money so I really really want to keep Gesicki. He gives us another weapon that is really hard to scheme against, a true match-up nightmare, too fast for LBs and too big for DBs. plus those amazing one handed catches really inspire the rest of the team…
If we can get 50 catches and 800 yards per year out of him, thus not wearing him down so he is still fresh in January (wink), it’ll be worth it, because even when we don’t throw to him, he distracts DCs and draws coverage off WRs, since he is one, sorta. And that leaves room for the other TEs to get touches in more traditional playcalls a la Smythe last night.
We’ll learn better how to use him, even as he learns better how to make TDs, but he’s a unique talent and will always be hard to find a well defined role for. But that is good as it makes it even harder to game plan him.
I want to keep him too, but if he’s not going to really be used, then the money should go elsewhere.
What you guys are missing is Gesicki’s strength of catching the downfield passes is limited, because Tua doesn’t have time to throw
Also, if the goal is to advance in the playoffs you need someone like him to make the contested catch
He must be re-signed
As you all know, I am a vigorous supporter of Tannehill, but this week I want the old bad rush awareness, poor pocket presence, holds the ball too long, stares down the target Ryan.
I feel like we can contain his speed and running ability as we have several good running QBs.
With 8 sacks padded on last night the Dolphins now lead the league in sacks.
You don’t need to apologize. Some teams got to play Baltimore and Cincy twice, who gave up the most sacks of all.
We had to play Buff twice and NE once so far, as well as TB, Indy, and even Jax who are all among the top 10 hardest of all to sack in the NFL. 6 of the top 10
(Shit, we lost all but one of those.)
Brian Griese is a spoiled child, as in calling Godsey the OC and other lazy commentary, which is also why he failed at QB.
He is bitter, because he thought Dad’s legacy was going to ensure that he would have a secure career in Miami. Pathetic.
Daddy and a pretty face are the only reason he has a commentator job.
Without the threat of Gesicki, I don’t think Waddle would have as many opportunities to be open that early,
Most teams are using a CB on Gesicki rather than a LB.
This is exactly correct. He’s so fast that the D has to “waste” a CB to stay with him on any kind of depth route. This means no double team on somebody else .
Notice the Hollins and Ford catches are almost all single coverage. Or “blown” coverage, same thing, D is paying attention to Gesicki and Waddle.
Meh, Waddle can actually get separation on his own.
true
but the better teams always have that “can’t double them all” factor.
If we only had a traditional TE, we’d sure better have a deep threat WR, or they’d just smother Waddle with coverage and take him out of the game.
So let’s go out and force espn to invent another excuse, this one for the Titans.
Lol, was going to write the same
Naples, I want to keep Gesicki also. I just hope we can do it without paying him top 5 TE money.
If we add another WR weapon who can get separation like Waddle (Jameson Williams) things will really open up for Gesicki.
I also want to resign Smythe. He is turning into a solid all round TE.
Hopefully Long comes around.
Gesicki, Smythe and Long would be a good TE room. Cethan Carter is also on the roster next year for 2.5 mil which is over priced IMO.
cut Carter, keep the other 4
Yep!
Tua came in at the highest comp rate in the league (69.9 I think) and did BETTER in this game (73 %).
Against what the announcers called the best DBackfield in the NFL, coupled with the best pass rush DE in the NFL, who together destroyed Tommy the GOAT just last week.
Tua looked great last night avoiding the rush
If we switched Tua for Tannehill on Sunday we’d have zero chance to win
bite your tongue
^
That arrow up was for Steve’s response. lol
When I think of what our offense could be, I look at the Chiefs.
They have Hill, we have Waddle. They have a dynamic, hard to cover TE in Kelce, we have Gesicki. They have a staple of RB’s where none are bell cows. We resign Duke Johnson, Lindsay along with Gaskin, we have the same.
Missing piece is that other WR that teams have to worry about. KC has Mecole Hardman. He is fast and teams have to account for him. Answer Jameson Williams! Second choice would be Garrett Wilson. Plus, we will have Parker and Lynn Bowden back next year. Hopefully, so is Hollins.
Then, the big chore, fix the OL. After winning SB, KC’s lost some OL and it really showed up last SB. They fixed it in the offseason. We can do this by signing RT Trent Brown and maybe also a LG. Also draft a LG no later than 3rd round like Thayer Munford.
I think our offense is on the verge of being really good, if not great, if we can do the above.
Cutting Cethan Carter would not hurt us a bit. He has zero dead money the last 2 years of his contract.
Gisecki Smythe and Sheehan are a pretty solid trio of TEs. Don’t need the other 2 imo
i only like Gesicki and Smythe, shaheen doesnt belong on the roster,
but havent seen enough of Long yet,,,,,
except none of that addresses his enormous talent,
and if Grier got him at 6 , instead of taking him at 3, like You suggested, then thats all the better value
sb7mvp says:
December 28, 2021 at 9:28 am
None of it needs to address his talent. Trading two first round picks for a player you could have gotten for one isn’t gettting value David.
when drafting a player, the talent HAS TO BE ADDRESSED.
also six is better value than taking him at 3, seems like You just want to bitch when Grier nailed the fuck out of the draft, and Waddle is a big part of the 7 game win streak
these factors, and his talents, cannot be ignored now, or draft day either
BTW, if you want to continue arguing that none of it , needs to address his talent, i wont be able to participate, because talent is extremely important when drafting
and scouts evaluate talent to figure out where players should be drafted
I don’t get what 7 was trying to say either
We traded 3 for 12 and 2 future 1sts, then traded 12 and our 2022 1st for 6, we got Waddle and a 2023 1st for pick 3, why isn’t getting a 2023 first considered getting value 7?
Waddle baby Waddle baby
(To the tune of The Wobble, you know it from the last wedding you went to)
Where would we be right now without Waddle?
He’s allowed Tua the luxury of throwing the low risk short passes
Sure Tua has been very accurate and had very good ball placement, but…
without Waddle, the team would most likely be well out of any playoff consideration
Fuller was NO HELP
And Waddle hasn’t come close to meeting his potential
He’s sacrificing his big play ability for the betterment of the team
FU Chris Simms
Ian Book obviously wasn’t ready
Was Herbert ready, when they told him 5 minutes before the game, he was going to start?
Well one was the #6 overall pick the other was not
And FU too Florio for perpetuating the lie about Watson
He won’t stop with our win streak started once the trade deadline was over
Tua got healthy and the schedule got easier, once we won a a game the moral changed, had nothing to do with Watson
👍
And the D getting into form had nothing to do with Watson
Get into the playoffs and make a run and the Watson trade rumors will hopefully disappear
It’s going to depend on us. Grier already admitted we looked into it and it’s a fact our owner requested permission to talk to Watson right before the trade deadline.
If we do shyte like that this offseason then the rumors will keep on coming.
Hopefully our FO gets their collective heads out of their a$$es on this matter and we forget all about Watson. Then the rumors will stop and if they persist, we can just categorically deny interest.
With the worst OL of all of them. By far!
And least weapons
Tua is a winner, a football shaman
Mack Hollins reminds me of Jim Jensen
and maybe a little of Oronde Gadsden
Physically yes but the role he plays is that Jim Jensen jack of all trades type of role.
And another thing, our 7 game losing streak included 4 without our starting QB.
So if pundits whine for other teams like that , then they should excuse us also.
Wentz on the COVID list. He’s not vaxxed, so he’ll have to miss the Raiders game.
idiot (but thank you)
👍
Well I haven’t seen Hollins either run the ball or throw a pass, but I bet he could, and he might yet do that, too.
Well maybe not that but he is an ace ST guy and plays WR and TE. He can do just about a little bit of everything
Tannehill is the most sacked QB (3 per game and 4 per in the last 4 games), and we have the most sacks, including 7 per in the last 2 … hmmm.
I can’t believe I don’t know the answer to this, but does the NFL reseed each round or does the bracket reman the same?
It remains the same
Cheers, Ken. For some reason I can’t get that to stick in my head. I was thinking we would want to move up to #6 so we don’t draw the Chiefs in rd two, but it looks like it doesn’t really matter. At 6 or 7, we’re on the good side of the bracket…although we’ll find out something about the Bengals this weekend when they play the Chiefs.
that is the current seed. It can and most likely will change the next two weeks.
But not once the playoffs start
The BRACKET remains the same, ie 7 vs 2, 3 vs 6 & 4vs5 but the teams seeding will change is what I meant.
What a crazy season and now it all hinges on our defense getting pressure on Tannehill. Have to believe that if our D can stuff the run the pressure should bother him. Will be interesting to see if they are ready for it and if Tannehill can find his outlets or escape the pocket. We won’t survive a shootout.
Also X needs to take away Tannehill’s security blanket in AJ Brown
Agreed, that would be nice to have him follow, but seems like they prefer to keep everyone in set positions due to coverage schemes.
Cav:
My hope is with a playoff run the urgency that Ross and or Grier felt to explore a trade for Watson will have dissipated
I’m fervently hoping we’re already there regardless of the outcome of these last two games. I’m going to be pissed off if we have to endure that crap again this offseason.
I am guessing we are going to hear it again if for no other reason Watson wants to come here and will be pushing for it
Kong, we are on the “good’ side of the bracket, unless / until we win the division which is still a possibility.
Lol, love it. Hey, this season has shown anything can happen.
Falcons and Jets COULD (possible but unlikely) beat Buff and Jax COULD beat NE next week.
I’m rooting for it anyway. LOL
I really haven’t watched the Titans play this year, except for the Niners game. If X eliminates Brown, what other weapons do they have?
I know they have one of the best olines in the league, so they’ll have a decent rungame even without Henry. And they have a solid defense.
They have decent TEs especially Firkser. A lot of their success will ride with Tannehill and ball security. Julio Jones is there too but he has not done a lot this year
I forgot about Jones. I didn’t even remember he was on their team until the Niners game.
Biggest problem we will have is Titans have a decent pass rush this season
Ken, you doin aiight?
The division winner with the best record from each conference receives a bye which automatically advances them to the second round, dubbed the divisional round and hosts the lowest-remaining seed from the first round, and the other two winners from the wild-card round play each other with the higher seed hosting.
You also posted an old video saying we won 6 in a row and are back in the playoff race
Do you mean conference winner?
I think only 1 team in the afc and 1 team in the nfc gets a bye now
Exactly
The 6 in a row video was just some comic relief but I stand by what I said about the seeding
Well you’re wrong, because it does reseed
Should we get the 6th or 7th seed, who we play if we win the first game, would likely be the same team, because if we’re the 6th seed, the 7th seed would also have to win or we’d be the lowest seed left
Based on if it does reseed, I should have said if we’re the 6 then maybe we don’t get the Chiefs understanding the 7th seed would have to win for that to happen. My point was whether or not to care about moving up to #6.
So now the question is whether you or Ken are right. I honestly cannot remember.
Use the cabeza
How is it possible to not reseed with 7 teams?
I wonder if Brian Griese will be the commentator when we play the Titans, he does a good job.
I wonder, if he’ll be back on MNF next year
Let’s say we’re the 7th seed and we beat Tenn, with no reseeding or reseeding we’d play the Chiefs in rd 2
With no reseeding it would also mean if Tenn won they’d okay the Chiefs in rd 2
Not sure how it’s possible to not reseed with 7 teams

Coach says Jeffery Simmons is one of the best at his position in the league. Says it’ll be a big challenge while also acknowledging the strength of the Saints up front and the challenges they provided, how Miami has to play better there.
Travis Wingfield
Coach says on top of his talent, Jaylen Waddle has shown a desire to learn the structure of the offense, defense, how to attack double teams (which he’s facing more of), different leverages, routes, multiple positions. Mentions the speed and hands as physical skills.
Travis Wingfield
@WingfieldNFL
Coach on A.J. Brown – He’s one of the top receivers in the league. Tannehill is doing a great job of getting him the football and they are scheming it up to get him involved, which they should.
Travis Wingfield
Coach on rush without blitzing: You really can’t rush unless you stop the run, doing a good job on early downs. Opportunities to pressure, there’s a lot that’s involved there. There’s a lot that goes into it. Score, situation dictate it. If they’re running there is no pass rush.
Travis Wingfield
@WingfieldNFL
Coach says Tannehill is a very good player — good arm, mobile, command of the offense, makes checks at the line… he’s a very good player.
Mobile meaning he can run
We know about his lack of pocket presence, that’s where we need to be them
Stopping their rushing attack will be huge
Yep! Mostly because nobody believes in us and it’s us against the world, lol.
LOL Kong
Tannehill 15 tds, 14 ints, 45 sacks, 84.8 rating
He’s regressed
It’s wiki, but I’ll take it.
“The NFL does not use a fixed bracket playoff system, and there are no restrictions regarding teams from the same division matching up in any round.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020%E2%80%9321_NFL_playoffs
Sometimes I wonder about you guys😉
Don’t worry, the feeling is mutual, lol.
I couldn’t picture it in my head and you said this:
“Let’s say we’re the 7th seed and we beat Tenn, with no reseeding or reseeding we’d play the Chiefs in rd 2”
“With no reseeding it would also mean if Tenn won they’d okay the Chiefs in rd 2”
And that makes no sense based on this bracket I put up:
But there is reseeding, so the question is answered, lol.
I still want Burrow and Cincy!
I saw a post from Ken with no content and the replies were #StangerStrong and a thumbs up. Was that an update on Stanger?
It was a pic of a gal whispering “Dolphins win again” into an ear.
Nice! Thanks.
▪ Tight end: Durham Smythe started for the 10th time this season and played 51 snaps. Mike Gesicki also started for the eighth time this season and logged 49 snaps. Adam Shaheen played 19 and rookie Hunter Long 4.
This tells me that we open with two or more TE sets a lot.
▪ Wide receiver: Jaylen Waddle played 58 of the 65 offensive snaps, with DeVante Parker logging 46, Isaiah Ford 20, Mack Hollins 11 and Lewis 3.
Preston Williams was active but did not play.
Monday marked the first time that Parker wasn’t thrown a pass in a game (excluding one nullified by a penalty) since November 2015 and the first time he didn’t have a reception in a game since a loss to Kansas City last December.
Baker, Holland, Howard and Jones all had 50 out of 52 defensive snaps. Van Ginkel 45 and Wilkins 43 had the next amount of snaps (+1 on offense of Wilkins)
Rewatching last night’s game. Still cracking up at the wilkins/ Kamara thing. After the personal fouls, it stopped completely. You know flores told Wilkins no more of that crap. And I have to wonder if the phantom holding call 3 plays later had something to do with that previous pf.
Personal foul singular

LOL
So Wentz might still play sunday
Nvmd, I can count, lol
would be cool if the Dolphins could win the super bowl this season, been awhile, lol
there is no doubt in my mind the defense is good enough, and also that Tua will be a champion someday
Kong, is there a scenario that we still make the playoffs if we lose 1 of the last 2?
There is, but I haven’t worked it out yet. If I have time tonight and no one else has posted it I’ll figure it out and post it.
last year TB was a wild card, won three road games in the playoffs, then won the super bowl
it does happen, just have to go 4-0 in the playoffs
The 2000 Ravens and 2007/2011 Giants won the Super Bowl as wildcard teams.
He’s gifted, humble and having a blast
he isnt humble, hes outspoken, a team leader
Holland, nicknamed “Snowman” because he wears jersey number 8 and is from Canada, has been seen running around the field with a Dolphins flag after wins.
I think he’ll be all-pro in the not so distant future.
Steve, I really want a throwback 8 jersey. I’m confident he’ll be here for years.
Why do I care if Colin Cowherd is sold on anyone?
Is he on our schedule?
lol. someone needs the ad revenue.
Tua took about 5 or 6 big shots in this game . Don’t want to see that, but good to see he doesnt get injured every time he gets walloped.
that one guy hit him hard, i think he was trying to run him over like the Jet he ran over.
Lol, that is the play i just watched
He’s tough and he’s a competitor. Lots of really good QBs have dealt with injuries. I’m happy to see him holding up well during this streak coming off of broken ribs.
I’m not sure if they said it during the game or on NFLN but the commentary was Tua is helping this OL that is ranked last in pass pro by PFF and ESPN. Getting the ball out quickly and escaping pressure has saved our OL from complete embarrassment.
Lol @ Book throwing it away on 4th and 1
Jalen Phillips didnt show up on the stat sheet, but he was close a few times.
I couldn’t even find him on the field for awhile. That’s why I asked last night if he was active. Then I saw him. But our entire defense was balling so it was just like this white wash assault. LOL
We were swarming. It was awesome
People say well Ian Book was thrown into a really bad situation. Yes he was, but we confirmed that instead of having an unproven QB beat us. When the Pats do that it’s Belichick’s genius, when we do that it’s we haven’t played any good QBs.
Right? We hear all the time how good belicheat is against rookie qbs. And we’ve also seen crappy qbs beat us over the years (Geno Smith perfect qb rating anyone?). If you’re a good D you handle business, that’s what we did.
Stanger update:
He had a feeding tube inserted this week. He is breathing better now that he has had the tracheostomy. He is still not verbal but he did smile at the news of a Dolphins win last night
That is the best news from Last night … thank you Ken

You need this due to all the lolipops and roses around here. Just an objective point of view. you’re too high, you need to be drug back to reality.
I get it, right now he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, it won’t take long to kick him to the curb if he starts to struggle though
Are you even enjoying what’s going on with this team?
Do you really need attention that badly? You must be a sad, sad, lonely man. Pitiful.
No i don’t, so quit giving it to me.
Thanks
He’s not objective. He’s motivated by ratings. He’s trying to create controversies
We also don’t need that.
Winners are settled on the field not in a studio
Credit to John Breech… I like it 👍👍
The “Teal Curtain” dominates the Saints. I have no idea if the Dolphins defense has a nickname yet, but if not, I think we need to go with the “Teal Curtain” after the way it played in New Orleans.
RIP John!!!
Wow you scared me there for a sec…
That sucks .. I enjoyed John Madden.. at least he got see his show come out on XMAS
Bummer! RIP
Ah that sucks. I always enjoyed him doing the games because he brought a coach’s perspective and he was a character.
RIP John.
Great news on Stanger!
Thanks for the updates
Colin Cowherd is dumb as shit. The year the Colts won the SB he said the Colts can never win with that defense and predicted they would not make the playoffs. The year Patriots went 16-0 he said there was no way the Giants could beat them and it would be a blow out win for the Patriots. Cowherd is like Omar take what he says and believe the opposite.
Keep getting stronger Stanger. #stangerstrong 💪🏻
Happy news on Stanger! 🙂
Sad news on John Madden, RIP 😦

________________________________________
I’m not enjoying it yet Tim, if we make the playoffs i’ll look back on it as enjoyable but i still have my doubts. not sure why? after all It’s only been 21 years since our last playoff win.
the fact that we have to beat @Tenn & N.E. two contenders back to back has me concerned.
Defense is playing great, Offense is suspect. in our 7 game run the only good team we beat were the ravens and even they are not that great. the saints were banged up.
having been rooting for this team year after year only to get fooled has me gun shy. no more, they suck until they prove me wrong.
Enjoy the moment. That’s all any of us can do. The past has no bearing on now.
M – I’m so past Rashaad Penny. He’s a depth guy. He’s not a guy you can count on. I wouldn’t mind if he was in our stable as a RB3 or RB4 or RB5, but I’d never put all my eggs in his basket
I’m with ya… don’t think I’m advertising him as a bell cow RB. He’d come relatively cheap and could add some thump as a power back. He’s also a very good receiving threat.
M13 has the hots for Rashaad Penny. LOL
LOL
I love when M13 takes a shine to a player. He goes all in. I don’t always agree with him but I love the enthusiasm and excitement he genuinely has about that player
Agreed. I was just giving him the business. 😉
You big meanie, Tim! LOL
Thanks, Hulkster! I appreciate it.
Rob – I totally get your pessimism. Honestly, I don’t pay attention to any of the playoff scenarios other than us winning every game we play. I don’t care what the other teams are doing, just us. It’s a very tall task to win 9 in a row. Tennessee is a tough team but I think our defense is better and our offense is not far off from theirs. One game at a time, but I’m enjoying every win big time. I never belittle any win when any team can beat any team at any time
The NFL is not like Alabama beating Colgate or something like that. LOL
There is a disrespect that floats around about NFL teams and how difficult it is to win games in this league. This year has really shown us that.
Here is their way in if they lose one.

PHELON; I COULD NOT access the Barry Jackson article. Mind telling us HOW the Fins could lose a game and still make the playoffs?–Thank you.
▪ The Indianapolis Colts beat visiting Las Vegas on Sunday. ▪ Cincinnati loses at home to Kansas City on Sunday but then wins at Cleveland. ▪ Baltimore loses at home to Pittsburgh in its season finale. (The Ravens’ result at home against the Rams on Sunday wouldn’t matter in this particular scenario.) ▪ The Chargers win at home against Denver on Sunday but then lose at Las Vegas. ▪ Cleveland wins at Pittsburgh on Sunday but then loses at home to Cincinnati. This scenario — with Miami winning either of its final two games but not both — would result in Miami finishing 9-8 and claiming the last playoff spot. That would be a four-team tie among Baltimore, the Chargers and Las Vegas if the Ravens beat the Rams in this scenario, with Miami winning that tiebreaker and going to the playoffs. It would be a three-team tie with the Chargers and Raiders if the Ravens lose to the Rams in this scenario, with Miami still advancing to postseason. No other results would affect Miami’s chances in this scenario.
You can read the whole article if you open it in an incognito tab.
We’re 8-7 and the #7 seed. Who would have thunk it? LOL
I know, right? So WTF happened for us to lose 7 straight games? Yes, we got it ironed out, or so it would seem.
It kills me to think that we could have/should have/would have won at least 2 of those games if not for unforgivable, foolish mistakes. And I really hate to say it, but Jason Sanders has cost us dearly. 😦
The entire organization was not on the same page. Too much drama, mistakes and injuries early. Can’t blame one person.
I have to give Coach Flo a ton of credit for keeping it together through all that. The team was making mistakes and was out of sync for all sorts of reasons but he never lost the team. That speaks volumes.
John Madden: I was told you can’t win the big game, tell me when there is a little game?

The entire organization was not on the same page. Too much drama, mistakes and injuries early. Can’t blame one person…
————-
100% agreed that one person (I’m talking player) cannot be blamed for the collective failures of an entire organization… thus, Jason Sanders gets a pass in my book.
However, WHY was the entire organization not on the same page early on? And actually, that could possibly be placed on an individual in a leadership position.
I can’t answer that. I really don’t know. But there was a dark cloud over this team early in the season. Maybe the Watson stuff affected everyone. The moment the trade deadline ended we won 7 in a row. Just saying. 😉
Good point, and perhaps that had something to do with it. I’m not sure myself, but I still don’t like the idea of co-OCs, the power structure of the FO under Ross, and how our Defense didn’t show up until we hit rock bottom at 1-7.
Happy it eventually got corrected(!), but man… we never should have fallen to 1-7 to begin with.
And I’m with ya regarding Coach Flores… it’s AMAZING he’s been able to keep it together.
Your maze sucks!

PHELON; I COULD NOT access the Barry Jackson article. Mind telling us HOW the Fins could lose a game and still make the playoffs?–Thank you.

Instead of clicking on the link with the usual left button on your mouse, click it with the right button. Once ya do that, you should have the option of opening the article under ‘incognito’. Left click on that option and you should be able to read the article, my man.
NO DICE, Bro! Thanks for trying to help, though.
NICE!
THE REASON there was a cloud over this organization was because the owner said NOTHING in support of Tua and many media types were speculating a trade was imminent. This theoretical trade would bring a NEW GUY to the Miami QB position, so-o-o, Tua and the other players wondered if Tua was a traded man walking out of the Miami tunnel for the last time. This is absolutely NO WAY to run a football organization!! By letting TUA twist in the wind, Little Stevie Blunder played a big role in spreading doubt and confusion about the future of the team he owned.
THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED during the Don Shula era. Everyone knew Robbie had given FULL CONTROL OF THE FRANCHISE to one man. And THAT MAN was NEVER bashful about who ran the team or who the quarterback was. The difference between the forceful and direct SHULA and the spineless Ross couldn’t be greater.
SHULA would NEVER have allowed a situation like we had during the 1-7 start fester for 8 weeks!!
BET YOUR ASS ON THAT!!
KEN; Thanks for the update on Young Stanger. REALLY appreciate that!
Time to walk the Greyhound. Y’all have a great tomorrow!
I’m not going to disagree with any of this post! It seems spot on about Ross this time.
Here you go, OD:
▪ The Indianapolis Colts beat visiting Las Vegas on Sunday.
▪ Cincinnati loses at home to Kansas City on Sunday but then wins at Cleveland.
▪ Baltimore loses at home to Pittsburgh in its season finale.
▪ The Chargers win at home against Denver on Sunday but then lose at Las Vegas.
It would be a three-team tie with the Chargers and Raiders if the Ravens lose to the Rams in this scenario, with Miami still advancing to postseason
THANKS, Cav.!
Very SHULA-esque of YOU!!
Watching Nevada in the Quick Lane Bowl. Their regular starting QB Carson Strong opted out of the game because he is projecting to go pretty high in the draft. They started a junior transfer from a JUCO Nate Cox. Dude is 6’9” 230 lbs. He is very athletic with a very strong arm but looks raw. I will be very interested to see what he does next year. Tallest player to ever start at QB in CFB history
6’9″ QB? DAYUM!
Going strictly by QB height studies, he’s never going to make it in the NFL as a QB. Nevertheless, all it takes is ONE to break the mold, right?
Going to have shorten the wind up
He’s actually pretty athletic. Played basketball and baseball. Actually runs pretty well
Sorry should have said played in the Little League world series.
Yessir, and that’s something many of the tallest QBs need to overcome. And clearly, it’s something that Mike Glennon has never overcome at 6’7″.
Damn, who was the Seahawks QB that was 6’8? Can’t think of his name
Dan McGwire
He was Mark McGwire’s brother, was he not?
Yes, he was

Hey, Mike E, Hulkster, Pigster, and several others of you who are Star Wars fans…
“The Book of Boba Fett” drops in about 1 1/2 hours on Disney+!
I’m not staying up to watch it tonight (though I stayed up past midnight last night to watch our Phins and post-game coverage), but I CAN’T WAIT to watch it tomorrow when I wake up!!!
Temuera Morrison is reprising his clone role from Jango to now Boba… WINNING!!!
I plan to watch it tomorrow night as well
Ill probably watch it in the next couple of days
In football I think too tall is not a good thing.
Yeah, well you made a comment the other day saying, “it’s a trap!”. It’s not a good thing to quote something from Star Wars without having watched it… LOL 😉
You lost me.
Man, I’m totally just busting your balls regarding Star Wars, LOL
You had replied to Herd, regarding a weighted blanket with, “it’s a trap!”.
“It’s a trap!!!” is one of the most classic Star Wars quotes EVER!
I merely played into your “it’s not a good thing” and took it from there, being I know you aren’t a Star Wars nut like some of us… yet you QUOTED from the movie! 😉 😀
Are you going to be watching Boba Fett in the near future?!! LOL
Oh okay it’s all good. LOL

Alright, without a really bad Star Wars joke interrupting and failing to nail it with a transition… my bad(!)…
You are absolutely correct, and that goes without saying. I viewed a study about a week ago, SPECIFICALLY regarding the mean production from various heights at the QB position. There will always be exceptions to the rules, but the best production ‘generally’ comes from 6’2″-6’4″. 6’1″ and 6’5″ are close, but there’s a huge falloff outside of those numbers… again, ‘generally’ speaking.

LOL, I’m a geek when it comes to Star Wars, Bro! I readily admit as much! 😀
