The difference between Tannehill and Tua to me.
    Accuracy – Tua

    Clutch – Tua

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

He’s a guy who needs a few steps and a crease to run through. He’s not a shifty back. The Titans OL is not blowing the Bills off the ball. The Bills have a very good defense.

Our Oline performance is even more impressive when you consider how often we were throwing the ball downfield, it wasn’t short, quick passes all game to protect the line.

Hoping we see something similar next Sunday against a really strong Bills pass rush.

  19. randydolfan1947's avatar randydolfan1947 says:

STEVE CCNV: I THINK I SAW that controversial play thar resulted in a serious neck injury the same way you did. A Bills player was trying to deliver a cheap shot to Burkes (?) but, instead, he hit HIS TEAM MATE with the blow to the head. That SHOULD have been a 15-yard penalty, based on the obvious intent to due harm!!
    ————
ALSO, just before Buffalo scored their last touchdown, the Titans appeared to have intercepted Allen in the endzone! But the NFL replay officials in the booth decided NOT TO CHECK THIS PLAY FOR AN OFFICIATING GOOF!!
    ————
SO-O-O, Buffalo got a touchdown they didn’t deserve and a possibly serious neck injury to one of their players from a team mate!!
    ———–
IS there a penalty for failure to use available replay?? The officials really fucked this up!!!

  34. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

You know what’s wild, yesterday might have been the best stat game trailing by that much Tua ever has in his career. Nobody can project that type of performance from any QB. Hopefully he’ll have some more important performances and comebacks to make the playoffs, win in the playoffs and the Super Bowl. But what he did yesterday is rare to repeat.

  35. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

The Bills might be the most complete team in the league.

I THINK BUFFALO got TWO humongous breaks from the officials while this game was still competitive. Now that the Bills are ahead 24-7, we can say this game likely is in the win column for Buffalo. But they didn’t earn it the old fashioned way, did they?? But fear not, Dolfans. 93 degree temperatures and 100 degree heat indexes are waiting for them on sunday. And this promises to be THE NOISIEST CROWD at Hard Head Stadium in MANY YEARS!!

ONE FINAL THING. In the 1973 Playoffs, the Dolphins won the toss and elected to TAKE THE BALL in ALL 3 Playoff games (including the Super Bowl). Coach Shula wanted to get his adversaries down 7-0 AS SOON AS HE COULD. THAT STRATEGY WORKED PERFECTLY as Miami scored a touchdown on their first possession in all three games (which Miami won by lopsided scores).
    ———-
SO-O-O, if Miami wins the coin toss, let’s TAKE THE BALL RIGHT AWAY and hope Tua connects with one of his speedsters early in the game!-It’s all about momentum!

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

I love deferring to the 2nd half, but the Bills offense is so potent and so quickly pressures teams to keep up, I agree, it might be a good idea to get the ball first and hope we can flip that script.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I think their defense will test our blocking schemes early to see if they can continue to do what they’ve been doing to us for the last few years. If we beat them, they back off and say okay, maybe we have a game here.

I went back yesterday to retrieve this for a reason, and not for the reason you may think… but perhaps ya do. Nikola Tesla was obsessed with 3-6-9 (Vortex Math). It’s rather extraordinary in nature.

Check it out if/when ya get the chance. Tesla knew something that nobody else could see, but Edison had the $$$ and won that battle (AC vs DC). Edison was a complete asshole and pirate, in a great many ways… and even had Tesla jailed.

  64. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I feel the exact same way, honestly. The Bills are the Super Bowl favorites of the AFC, so to beat them is even more meaningful than yesterday’s majestic win against a very good (but not GREAT) team.

As players were probably watching Buff/Tenn last night … I’m sure it provided the impetus to End the “victory monday” after the big win and get them refocused about the challenge ahead of them.

Cannot get down 21 to Bills because they won’t go an entire half with only 3 pts.

However, perhaps that 2nd half showed them the confidence and aggressiveness it will take to win a Shoot Out. I really think that’s our only shot. Our defense has been steamrolled by Buffalo repeatedly, but with teams where our offense was not equipped to play fast, aggressive, and vertical. We will score 24+ but it may take 35 points and a key TO from our defense. This will not be a ‘slow’ game like the Pats game… or how we tried to play that first half of Balt.

    Urgency from the get-go!!

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

Defense has generally hung in the first halves of Bills games. They fell apart when the offense scored nothing and repeatedly went three and out.

  70. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

    Power Poll USA Today

    5. Dolphins (11): You’ve got to hand it to QB Tua Tagovailoa, who went deep Sunday – half of his six TD passes covering at least 20 air yards, which doubled his career total entering Week 2. But when you’ve got WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (11 catches, 170+ yards, 2 TDs apiece), the 21st century version of The Marks Brothers, that’s the way to go. No pair of Dolphins receivers had at least 150 receiving yards in a game since Clayton and Duper in 1986.

  73. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

The Bills’ best CB is on IR. I think Miami wins. May be a brawl, but Miami wins. Neither Tennessee nor LA generated pressure or covered for shit. And T-hill and Stanford are not as good as Tua. This is a different Miami team. Believe in it.

    • pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

And take away Diggs, the Bills’ are a one trick pony.

    • CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

And the guy who injured his neck last night was another of their CBs. Their secondary is vulnerable. We need our oline to have another game like they did against the Ravens.

I think it was Tim that said it yesterday, this game will be won or lost in the trenches. The Bills Dline has dominated us for the past couple years. We can’t let them get consistent pressure with just their front 4.

  74. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

Maybe the humidity helps us to not have a bad 4th quarter on D.
And Tua is really good in the 4th.
    So is Hill.

So maybe if we can keep it close for 3 quarters, we might have a chance.
Home field cheers plus crowd noise during Bills possessions might help a little.

I hope so, think it’d all on the OL

Also something MM said about Tua, he told him to put the previous play behind him Tua did that in 2nd half

Think that will be huge in this game, can’t worry about the past and let it effect future plays

      • boulderfinfan's avatar boulderfinfan says:

Steve, I agree. To beat the bills every aspect of our team needs to step up. I’m glad. We have a coach that can come up with a great game plan. If we can run the ball and get them tired in the heat that would ideal.

I’m so happy Pitts didn’t fall to us last year and we picked Waddle. He’s only had 4 catches in 2 games for the falcons

  83. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

Waddle is really the same player Hill is, generally that doesn’t go together, but speed is different

Think they compliment each other well

Pitts would match well with Hill too, just not sure the overall effect

  84. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

We were in a hole on the drive, that Waddle caught his long catch and run pass, don’t think we’ve heard enough about the making of this play

It was a play we desperately needed, and was no ordinary play, MM had it setup for a critical time in the game, just as he did the fuck it play

That’s coaching at its finest, you scout a team and design brilliant plays to beat them, we’ll need about 60 of them on Sunday

  85. steveccnv's avatar steveccnv says:

The gunslinger mentality Tua found last Sunday, the old Tua would’ve been in check down mode, afraid of making another mistake

“This is huge because he stopped worrying about the [previous] play,” McDaniel said. “And he went and played and took his responsibility serious to his teammates about, ‘Hey, I’m going to lead this team confidently.’… I think it was a moment that he’ll never forget, that hopefully he can use moving forward. … His teammates learned a lot about him. And I think he learned something about himself.”

  86. stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

“Greg [Little] did a great jo. We have a great O-line group. We have a great room. Everyone is just going to step up and do as needed, and fit in where they’re needed. I think that’s O-line play at the end of the day because you never go through the 17 games healthy.”

  87. pheloniusphish's avatar pheloniusphish says:

Jeffrey Chadiha – “2) Bills had better beware: The Buffalo Bills opened the NFL season by blowing out the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams on the road. What the Bills do against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 likely will say even more about how great they can be this year. The Dolphins are very much for real. In a Week 2 filled with crazy comebacks — three teams had overcome a fourth-quarter deficit of at least 13 points heading into the Monday night double-header — Miami produced the wildest finish in Sunday’s 42-38 comeback win over Baltimore. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finally produced his signature moment (469 yards and six touchdown passes), while wide receivers Tyreek Hill (190 receiving yards and two scores) and Jaylen Waddle (171 receiving yards and two scores) went berserk. That contest turned the Week 3 Buffalo-Miami game into a must-see event. The Bills are the most talented team in football, and their quarterback, Josh Allen, is the favorite to win the league’s Most Valuable Player award. They also outscored the Dolphins, 61-11, in two games last season (including a 35-0 beatdown in Miami). That ain’t happening again. This game just transformed from one more opportunity for Buffalo to roll through a lesser opponent into a legit AFC East showdown.”

  88. CavalierKong's avatar CavalierKong says:

“The Miami Dolphins became a unanimous top 10 in national power rankings following their comeback victory at Baltimore in Week 2”

“In the fourth quarter alone, Tua Tagovailoa completed 13 of 17 passes for 199 yards and four touchdowns. Just for fun, let’s extrapolate that one-quarter performance over a 17-game season. That’d be 13,532 passing yards and 272 touchdown passes.” – LOL

To me what needs to happen for us is first we have to be able to move the ball and sustain some drives that result in points. We’ve struggled with that against them punting too often or turning it over. We’ve got to keep the dogs off and back their defense up and make them respect our speed.

On defense, stop a few of their drives and make them punt because they rarely do. We’re not going to shut them down.

I guess Waddle’s 3 drops kept him out of the top 5.

“As I evaluated the tape what I seemed to have missed while watching the game live was the amount of tight-window throws Tua made. We address these early on in the video breakdown below, but he hit a stick nod and a spear concept that both were flat-out special throws.”

“We all remember the deep bombs to Tyreek but as I dug deeper into the film I was pleasantly surprised at how dialed in and crisp this Miami offense felt compared to even Week 1, which was a quality game on tape.”

“In today’s video, I break down 15 total clips, 12 good, and 3 bad. I hope y’all enjoy it!”
