This image is still in my head. I went to sleep last night and the loss to the Bengals didn’t bother me in the least. All I could think about was that poor kid lying on the ground with a potentially devastating injury. Thankfully, Tua Tagovailoa was released from the trauma center after just a couple of hours and traveled home with his team. Sometimes you have to separate the humanity from the sport. I wanted us to win this game yet I couldn’t stop thinking about Tua. I saw the game on Sunday, saw him stumble. I was told that an independent neurologist examined Tua and he was cleared of being concussed. I believe this 100%, not everything that happens with the Miami Dolphins is a conspiracy theorist’s wet dream for Gods sake! What happened Sunday has zero to do with what happened last night. This is a violent sport, and that hit last night was evidence of that. It wasn’t dirty per se, it was a physical play that used to be commonplace in any and every NFL game but sometimes the lions bite the gladiators, it happens. Listening to WQAM in Miami, all kinds of “experts” are chiming in on the Tua situation and it really sickens me. I know Ross made the bed and now he has to sleep in it, but this is just too much.
Without any real timetable on QB Tua Tagovailoa’s return, Teddy Bridgewater will be the QB going forward for however long Tua is unavailable. It’s a good thing we’re 3-1 and already 2-0 in divisional play, including knocking off top dog Buffalo. Teddy Bridgewater will get all the snaps and will be better prepared to be at the helm and lead this team. The Jets will have their young QB ( Zach Wilson) back so we won’t be facing Joe Flacco. CB Byron Jones should be back for this game, but will he be opposite X? CB Xavien Howard didn’t finish the game and if you watched the game, I’m not entirely sure he have started it. He clearly is not healthy and was doing his best, but he doesn’t have the speed right now to compete with teams best receivers. Whether or not he can rebound after a long rest, the Dolphins now have 10 days before they play 2 Sundays from now, remains to be seen.
The game last night was pretty odd. We had 7 more yards on offense than the Bengals and Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (15-69) out rushed RB Joe Mixon (24-61) by 8 yards with 9 less carries. We actually had a good chance to take the lead down 20-15 and were driving to score when Teddy Bridgewater threw his first interception of the season with the Dolphins at the Cincy 29 yard line. We actually had a 15-14 lead as the 3rd quarter ended. Despite all that, there are major concerns for me going forward with this defense. We simply cannot get to the QB rushing just 4 or even 5. It’s shocking to me that this is the case because I expected so much more from LB Jaelan Phillips, especially when we added Melvin Ingram to the mix, and Ingram has been playing so well. Phillips has 6 total tackles and 1 sack through 4 games while playing 70% of the defensive snaps. Ogbah has also been neutralized and his stats mirror Phillips, 7 total tackles, 1 sack. With our secondary incomplete, the one on one man to man coverage is not sustainable with Keion Crossen, Nik Needham and Kader Kohou. All of these guys have done admirable work, and I’m not belittling any of them, but we had pro bowl caliber guys like Xavien Howard and Byron Jones back there, so it’s an awful lot to ask of these young players to cover the NFL’s best one on one with no help, because a safety is needed to blitz to provide pass rush help. The defense was built on the foundation of having the best cover corners back there, so you can’t substitute a couple of UDFA’s and expect the same results.
I think our offense is going to be fine, whether it’s Teddy Bridgewater, Tua Tagovailoa or even Skylar Thompson. I would like us to run the ball more, I liked Mostert getting more carries, you give that guy a little crease and he’s gone. Once again though, as I’ve said before, I don’t like our short yardage offense one bit. Not one of our backs can push the pile, we aren’t getting any push up front, and that includes C Connor Williams, LG Liam Eichenberg and RG Robert Hunt. Cincy defense blew up each and every short yardage play which thoroughly disgusted me. Good thing we have a fullback? Can we use him, and can he give a running back a crease? Like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop, we may never know.
At 3-1, I should be elated, all of us should, and it’s not like last night’s team loss was so disheartening. I think to me it’s the uncertainty of Tua’s health, and my concerns about our defense that have me feeling down, and mostly it’s Tua for me. I feel so bad for the kid. Finally, the kid has someone in his corner, and he balled out with tons of confidence, and now this. As we all know, concussions seem to manifest more concussions. We’ve seen it happen with so many players in the NFL, I just hope Tua doesn’t become one of those players and become one of those statistics. Teddy Bridgewater has had some bad luck in his own right and now takes the reins of a very potent offense. I’m happy for him however long it lasts, and hope he prospers and enjoys success here in Miami.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/protester-tackled-by-bobby-wagner-after-running-onto-field-at-rams-49ers-monday-night-football-game-files-police-report/ar-AA12DO8W?cvid=83c1c66451b642339ee21091f3919166
I was wondering when this would happen. Very curious to see how it plays out. I actually expected a lawsuit to be filed as well.
I don’t know why players decide to tackle people who do that
But it’s not like he was invited on the field
Yeah, I wouldn’t go near them for exactly this reason. They are probably looking for it. When I saw the headline yesterday about the hit Wagner put on him, my first thought was lawsuit.
He should sue, dude stopped the game for a minute, but that doesn’t give Wagner the right to clock him
If I’m working and someone disrupts my work I don’t have a free pass to knock him around
That’s a good point. Security is there for a reason, let them handle it.
I’m sorry…if a “protester” gets too close to player, that’s on the protester…..you’re too close if the player can take you out…lol
Especially if you’re too close with an incendiary device! Lol
That will probably be Wagner’s defense. The guy was carrying who knows what, but it’s smoking and could be a danger to everyone around, so he helped security to get the guy secured and taken off the field.
I’m curious to see how this plays out.
I thought they fired the culprit already?
lol, right?
It’s all PR now.

The first to come out and imply that the US was behind the Nord Stream incident was Russia. Don’t believe Russian propaganda. Or Tucker Carlson’s – he is not a geopolitical expert. Here’s a decent article that lays out some of the ramifications of the sabotage and some of the potential actors who would benefit. Hard to see how it would be in the US’s best interests to be involved.
https://carnegieendowment.org/politika/88062
———-
I appreciate your feedback, man. However, why would Russia bomb its own infrastructure? They turned the spigot off to Europe, so there was no need to sabotage itself. That fundamentally makes ZERO sense, while it had the option to make $$$ from Europe at its choosing in the future.
I dislike Putin like the next guy, but he’s not THAT stupid. He resists the NWO, just like Saudi Arabia, and he’s now become a target of the propaganda machine (as has MBS).
In the meantime, OPEC has decided to reduce its production by 2 million barrels a day, and Biden has all but emptied our oil reserves.
Geopolitical? With no offense to you, I’m not sure you recognize what’s really going on, man. And Tucker Carlson has absolutely ZERO to gain by pumping propaganda. Believe you me, former VP candidate Paul Ryan (he’s on the board at Fox News yet HATES Fox News) would find a way to fire him.
Now then, read this with an open mind…

When you really think about it, regardless of where anyone stands politically, real life stuff is going on. Someone did it. Right?
EXACTLY! Problem is, Phelon went directly to politics, trying to fault one party for the problem. It’s BIGGER than that at this point in time. It’s become a GLOBAL incident.
You basically reiterated what I said. LOL
It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, it happened and someone did it. Now what? Current events are more important than theories which take too long.
I agree with you that this is a global thing. If you want to call it the NWO that’s fair too. The elite will always rule the planet. That’s the order of nature and humans too often forget that. We’re part of nature. 😉
“Andor” (latest Star Wars online @ D+) is becoming most captivating. Can’t wait until next Wednesday!
I am NOT trying to make recent world news political, nor have I. The record should reflect as much.
I’m talking about why people’s opinions don’t matter. The truth is what it is. We debate truth as a society when we know what the truth is. That’s kind of fucked up don’t you think?
YUP, absolutely.

Thank you, my Brother from another mother! 🙂
Hoping X is healthy and ready to go after a long week off. What’s up with Byron Jones?
No matter what happened, either Putin did it or we okayed it/did it, Putin knows the truth
The left said, in Feb, that if Putin invades we’re going to stop the pipeline, and we must take advantage of Putin invading Ukraine to reduce fossil fuels, well…
Biden may have setup the world
for a nuclear attack or WWIII
“The second I start doing things because I think it’s some answer that somebody else wants, that’s to me, that I’m failing at my job,” he said. “My job starts and ends with what’s the best thing for the team and everybody involved.”
Agreed.
I love this guy!
Article I’ve read about Joe Burrow’s appearance on Colin Cowherd Podcast that was published on Wednesday….sorry if a duplicate. ..
“Part of what we signed up for……That’s the life that we live. And we get paid handsomely for it.”
There’s more, but takes me too long….lol
M13 – I’m not sure how you got “Phelon went straight to politics, trying to fault one party…” from what I posted or how you missed the part in the first link that explained the possible advantages to the different potential perpetrators. The second article was simply the effect of podcasts on the spread of conspiracy theories and propaganda. But I guess that is what conspiracy theorists do – believe what they believe, overlook any evidence to the contrary, and gravitate to whomever supports their conspiracy. Obviously you have already decided what you think and if Sweden’s investigation doesn’t agree with that, you will wrap them into your conspiracy as part of the cover up. You go girl.
I thought both articles were good reading.
Ape – Spot on about Wagner’s defense.
Besides the horrible response of saying nothing in so many words I agree
Wagner though should be held to what ever conduct they expect a cop to be held to, if its ok for a cop to layout the idiot, then same for Bobby
It’s one thing for some drunken fan to run out on the field for his 15 seconds of fame, but a protestor can be much more dangerous
Just be fair and keep the innocent safe, it’s all I’m saying
I thought he was a football player….silly me…lol
Fair? You’ve lost me….and I am the ultimate rule breaker….lol
Wagner was playing pseudo cop, he was policing the field
Whatever the law say, just abide by it, enough of the double standards
Not saying there is a double standard here, just treat everyone the same and keep the equity out
Another one on the board into double speak….A protester who kneels vs a protester bringing an incendiary device on the field….smh….lol. You despise one, but not the other. Geez, loueez….
It makes enough sense…even if he really just wanted to level the guy, lol.
Citizen’s Arrest!
Honestly could give a shit about protesters who do shit like that.
Right there with you
Skylar is ready to go, PBP pay wall
Hope he gets in the game at some point
Yay…we have two girls on the board..lmao
You go girl
LOL…..really?
Who is the 2nd girl?
pp was pretty clear!!!
Oh sorry, thought it was directed at me
It wasn’t directed at anyone. It was an observation…lol
Cautious with Jones
If Jones returns to practice he would have a 21-day window where he’d have to be activated, or he would be out for the season.
Which is your favorite Teddy?
Hmmmm, let me see…..
I can tell you which one it’s not, would rather have seen 2 other Betty’s
ok
Zappe played for Cheats Sunday, why not Skylar?
MM needs to get his head out of his ass on playing rookies
I don’t have any major problem with what Bobby Wagner did from a legal point of view. You have a right to defend yourself and others from imminent danger. Practically speaking when you have as much money as does you should probably avoid taking actions like that. However, I don’t see anything illegal or tortious about his conduct
This guy was protesting something. The longer he can extend his 15 mins of fame for this by filing a police report etc, that’s what he’ll do. A lawsuit will be next.
I hope the fins don’t underestimate the Jets. They’re a good team. Sneaky good.
Not sure how it’s possible, without your QB, buy yeah hope they don’t
Half our team is nursing injuries, QB1 is out, our top 2 CBs are out or playing injured. I wouldn’t be shocked if we lose, but if we do I don’t think it’ll be overconfidence or unpreparedness.
I’m just hoping we don’t see our Special Teams unit let us down for a fourth week in a row.
week 2 – KO return for TD
week 3 – butt punt safety
week 4 – blocked fg and missed extra point
That’s 13 points in three games. Can’t keep doing that.
Complimentary football is especially important this week and going forward….for sure
Florio picked the Jets to beat us. What a douchebag
WTF? My daughter was driving to class this morning and someone threw a kitten out of their car in front of her. She almost hit it.
In related news, my daughter has a new kitten.
That’s horrible! But I’m glad the kitten found a good home.
I’d your daughter got the license plate i will put out the word in the animal kingdom to look out for them…lol

No need to resort to playing games, man. IMO, you took aim at Tucker Carlson (and most conservatives) and whether by accident or not, linked him to Russian disinformation and that he (or his staff of probably hundreds, many of who actually are experts in geopolitics) knows nothing about geopolitical matters. That’s why I stated that you went straight to politics. It wasn’t a dig at you, it was an observation that your insight was politically influenced and not independent thought.
I don’t know what or who to believe at the moment, to be painfully obvious. We’ll just have to wait and see what is ultimately determined… not in this rush to judgment.
Seems to me that you’ve gone all-in on the very hasty Swedish conspiracy theory, no? That’s what conspiracy theorists do, in your own words, no? I’m just following your barometer, nothing more, no insult intended.
I provided in my link a counterpoint to your links, meaning… NOBODY KNOWS at the moment, yet everybody thinks they know. All I’m saying is that this recent event could potentially lead to WWIII and I hope nobody jumps to conclusions or we’re all vaporized and then this discussion means nothing! LOL
I ain’t mad at ya, Phelon… I asked your opinion as a matter of respect and was not expecting a political talking point to be thrown my way… you’re more intelligent than that, man, and we both know it. I’ll try to tap into your knowledge another day when you’re in a better mood, I suppose.
Sweet Baby Jesus.
You can SBJ all you want. All I wanted was your independent thought. No need to get all flabbergasted by as much.
Not looking good for Gesicki…
In other words, they were hoping Gesicki would develop into what they wanted him to be, but he hasn’t. Hence the tag.
I believe they have come to the conclusion many of us already have. He is a big athletic WR with little to no physicality.
It would have been nice to see him get some nasty in him. Some beast mode like a fraction of Kelce, Kittle or Waller would have been nice.
I say you let him walk in 2023. Sign a FA/draft one late in 2024.
Then draft Brock Bowers in the 1st round in 2024!
Dude not only can’t break a tackle, but he can’t even get a couple extra yards one on one vs a DB who is 6 to 7 inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter. SMH
ORob is going crazy right now. “I told you MOFO’s when Gesicki is in there it tips our hand”. Embree kind of confirms it there to a certain extend. In another offensive scheme it might be 100% true but not in MM’s offense. I think his offense still leaves the defense guessing whether Gesicki is in there or not. I do think it may affect play calling a little when he is in there. IMO
If Teddy throws 3 INTs, play Skylar.
If we get up by 3 TDs, play Skylar.
If we go down by 3 TDs, play Skylar.
We need to get him some reps, but we need to take care of Teddy’s mental state.
We don’t need a QB controversy, as it will only undermine Teddy’s confidence, and we need him to be mentally sharp, not saying “oh hell, what’s the use?”
A bit of fluff, but it’s nice to read anything positive about us right now. Regardless of the concussion crap, regardless if Tua is our QB of the future (and I say that with more thought about injuries than ability), I think it’s pretty obvious we’ve found our coach, and that feels good.
https://phinphanatic.com/2022/10/05/miami-dolphins-future-looks-incredibly-bright-mike-mcdaniel/
All these doctors coming out on TV shows saying Tua should retire when they have never examined him or viewed his MRI/CT/X-rays. STFU!
I guess if you get a concussion in a bad accident, you should never drive or get in a car again. Yeah, odds of another are much greater in football, but let the dude make his own decision and again, STFU.
They all can’t let it go and still say not a word about the Bucs TE who went back in the game with a concussion in the 1st half. Oh, it was his shoulder. How the F did he get a concussion when he never got hit again. Or did he slip, fall and hit his head in the locker room at halftime? SMH
Boulder, I agree, BTW. Don’t underestimate the Jets.
I can’t really understand the Gesicki thing.
What is it that he can’t or won’t do?
Are they saying he is afraid?
He doesn’t seem scared to catch in traffic or over the middle, and he has taken hits and gotten up quick and acted just fine.
But when he runs after catches, he doesn’t bowl over DBs. He allows tacklers to snatch his ankles together and just falls down.
Why doesn’t he just kick the shit out of a DB’s wrists down there at ground level? They won’t be so quick to shoestring tackle him after that.
Why doesn’t he use his free arm to brush off tacklers or throw them off him?
And as an inline blocker he seems to not deliver any force into his man whatsoever.
Is it mental or does he just not have enough sand in his pants?
IMO, not enough sand in his pants. He’s able to SKY for the ball unlike most, but that comes at a price… he’s not a good blocker.

If all is as it seems (that Gesicki isn’t a system fit for Coach McDaniel), then I’m trying to trade him before the deadline… nothing less than a 3rd rounder.
Don’t know how it works with a franchise-tagged player and all the recent rule changes, but would we potentially get a 3rd round compensatory pick if we let him walk after the season? If not, deal him for nothing less than a 3rd to the highest bidder.

As someone who volunteers at a cat shelter I am glad it was your daughter behind that car. God bless
You volunteer at a cat shelter, Hulkster?!! Didn’t see that coming, Bro. I think that’s pretty awesome, truly, as an animal lover myself.
Herd, bless your daughter for saving that cat… the cat is in good hands, to be sure!
Yes I do. I have a soft spot for the felines
Hulk’s kryptonite! Seriously, I think that’s awesome. Lost a cat last year to a truck running him over, got a new one, and he’s a cutie pie.
I have 2 cats they are indoor cats. Too many coyotes, foxes and fisher cats in my area
Luna was an outdoor cat (the one who got run over, RIP). This one is an indoor cat… don’t want to go through the heartbreak of losing another one in such a devastating way.
Technically speaking, it’s my nephew’s cat. I’m more of a dog person myself, but I love all life.
The shelter has a rule they won’t allow an adoption unless there is a commitment to keep the cat inside
That’s a great idea. These cats need to be nurtured and in turn, they can help bring love to their owners. It’s reciprocal and it’s a grand thing. Proud of ya, man!
Hulkster loves kitties!
Every cat at the shelter gets neutered or spayed

Reply
I don’t think MM has his head up his ass when it comes to rookies. He just plays the BPA in his opinion. YOU may FEEL (get out of your feelings) that Skyler is the better option. the COACH with his head up in the fresh air and his feet on the ground at every practice believes the Teddy is the better QB at this point in their careers.
MM gave several rookies substantial playing time last season. This season our rookies were all later in the draft and we have established players at most of the spots.
You are pretty arrogant to think you know more than him. Who’s head is up who’s ass?
Agree
About MM. I will stay neutral on the other stuff
If the draft slot falls the right way … drafting TE Michael Mayer from ND would fit this offense better than either Smythe or Gesicki. Mayer’s hands for his size are just unreal. Plus, rookie contract.
I agree, but BB Mike already beat ya to him! 🙂
You are a good man
Supposed to be to BBM below but you are good man too Rhino
And I’ve got to tell ya, I’m still bloody PISSED that Steve Ross tampered with Tom Brady, causing us to lose a 1st round draft pick. There is SO MUCH we could have done with that pick (obviously), such as drafting Michael Mayer.
Ken, we have 7 cats. They were all stray’s I trapped around our office. Got them fixed and brought them home. I keep the garage door cracked and they come and go as they wish. Six of them have become domesticated and you can pick them up and pet them. The 7th will only come close enough to smell your finger.
The shelter has a rule they won’t allow an adoption unless there is a commitment to keep the cat inside
————————
They have a good home but can’t let them in since we already have 4 dogs inside. Five of the cats actually hang out in the back yard and made friends with the dogs.
I do agree if one gets a domesticated cat/kitten from a shelter, it should be kept inside.
Most of my cats over most of my life have been indoors/outdoor cats but there is definitely an uptick in the amount of predators around so I keep them inside
lol, you guys sound like my wife’s parents. they have a bunch of cats, including a couple strays, one that is practically feral, and a few Giant Pyrenees that basically run the house.
are any of you guys also hoping that Kader Kohou continues his stellar play enough that we don’t miss Jones and that he develops enough so we can clear Jones off the books and use that cap space elsewhere next year?
https://www.thephinsider.com/2022/10/6/23388947/pro-football-focus-miami-dolphins-kader-kohou-top-10-cornerback-nfl-highest-graded-rookie-defender
I’m the only one?
LOL
NOPE! You are NOT the only one! I’ve been thinking about that for some time… that there’s no way we can continue paying both X and Byron the $$$ we’re paying.
And to be honest, both are now injury prone.
Impressive… MOST impressive!
I think Kohou makes Jones a salary cap casualty next year
I’m enjoying hearing the animal stories. You guys aren’t so bad.
If anyone is keeping score(I definitely am), she now has 3 horses, 2 dogs and now a kitten. She also left several cats at her dad’s. I have no animals but I dog sit frequently. 🐎🐎🐎 🐕 🐕 🐈⬛
THREE HORSES??
I don’t consider horses “pets” they are too big, too expensive and too difficult to house and care for to be “pets”
Something I missed;
PFF has Conner Williams listed at the #6 center in the league after 4 games.
I have seen a butt load of high snaps this season. He must be killing it on other ratings.
Rhino, I agree about Mayer. I have been leaning toward drafting a CB in the 1st in 2023. Mayer is TE1 and will be drafted in the 1st round.
I have to say Mayer is a rare breed. He is a great receiving TE, but he is also a monster of a man at 6’4 265. He is like having an extra OL. Not sure but I believe ND still runs a sort of ZBS that he would be familiar with.
I guess if it came down to using a 1st on a TE this year or next year, it would have to be Mayer in 2023 over Bowers in 2024 for me.
I would love to have Mayer and Smythe as our TE’s. Smythe is underrated as a receiver, IMO.
We’ve got two indoor cats and a ball python. One of our cats, Lily, is a little angst-ridden psychotic but amusing as hell, the other cat, Willow, is a ginormous fat cat with a tiny little head, and is the sweetest lovebug you’ll ever meet, lol.
One of my wife’s coworkers who lived alone passed away and we adopted both his cats. Great additions to our family.
The ball python, Egg, is a new addition my youngest daughter just acquired. He hasn’t bit anyone yet, so it’s been a positive start, lol.
Chimpanzees make horrible pets btw
lol, so do gorillas, way too opinionated.
My cats are cool though, if you can get past their megalomania and reactionary politics.
LOL. That is every cat. They have not forgotten they were once worshipped as Gods
I did not realize we have a potential “out” clause in Byron Jones’ contract for 2023. I believe that means we can release him after this season and not have any dead cap.
That will leave X as our highest paid CB and not have to renegotiate his contract again. lol
Kohou is signed through 2024 on a rookie contract.
Nice

She does the equestrian stuff— dressage, show jumping and cross country. You are correct, nothing inexpensive about them. The last one, the little one was ‘free’. She literally trapped it here at a former mining site, he was in bad shape. He’s since been to a horse whisperer in GA for training-6 weeks. She broke her finger because of him, required surgery to repair. So not really free, at all. 😂
She bakes them cookies that look like something from a high end bakery that people would eat. So they are spoiled like pets.
I’m so very thankful for where I live right now: away from floods (lost my house to flooding in ’11), mountains break tornadoes up so I needn’t (knock on wood) be concerned about them, and I’ve a plethora of wildlife in my backyard.
In the stream we’ve got crayfish, minnows, turtles, salamanders, snakes, and frogs. About the stream we’ve got mallard ducks, great blue herons, bald eagles, hawks, turkey vultures, and so many kinds of non-predatory birds… Baltimore orioles, blue jays, cardinals, golden finches, etc.
In the backyard we’ve got just about everything: deer, rabbits, squirrels, red foxes, coyotes, groundhogs, mice, toads, and the occasional bear. And there are so many different kinds of flowers around here.
About 300 yards down the road from me is the owner of two horses, and they are BEAUTIFUL: one is white, the other red. And their owner is a schoolteacher: she is humble, wise, single, and HOT! LOL
This sure beats living in the city! I truly love nature and I hope y’all do too!
I know you heard his name called a few times in the Cincy game and he plays with a mean streak.
TE Hayden Hurst is a UFA in 2023. He is above average and was top 10 in 2020 with the falcons.
He was a highly touted TE in his draft class. If he can block well, I should think he’s on our radar as a potential pick-up.
JMO, but I’d like to draft a cat (rookie contract) who can be all we want.
BB Mike,
Have you messed around with PFF’s mock draft simulator for the ’23 Draft? I have and granted its way too early, I think it’s fun.
God help us if Tua goes down again after his return from concussion protocol. It will cost us DEARLY if we try to draft a new QB next year, for example.
I think in no event we draft a QB next year. I think we will see Skylar get a shot before we draft one next year or we sign Lamar Jackson
We want the 49ers to lose every bloody game this year in order to maximize our draft potential, and I don’t care if it’s against an AFC team in the hunt for the playoffs.

I must’ve been on break from here or something when your house got flooded.
I never knew that happened to you until a couple months ago when you mentioned it.
That must’ve been hell, buddy.
Sorry that happened to you.
Your place now sounds idyllic.
Is that in the Poconos?
In some ways, I wish it was in the Poconos, man! Nah, I’m pretty much in the middle of nowhere and I’m truly happy about that. Thank you kindly for your thoughts, sir.
It was hell for a time after the flood, but I made it through with faith, family, friends (including here), and perseverance.
I wish the same for you, my friend. You are a very good person and I know that everything will come together for you after H. Ian. Stay strong and don’t ever give in to negativity. In many ways, my ex-community became stronger after the tragedy… it brought out the good in mankind. Look for the positives, and thank God that you’re still alive… and able to help others as they help you.

————-
Lamar Jackson would cost us… THE MOON. I’d much rather roll with Skylar in that event.
He will be expensive but we will likely shed Jones and Gisecki. My thought is that with the offense we have built if Tua can’t come back I think we will be in a win now mode while we have both Cheetah and Waddle under contract. That means we need a QB who is ready to win
Interesting thought… and you might not be wrong. I just can’t believe that Lamar turned down the Ravens’ latest offer, which was HUGE… but Lamar wanted it all GUARANTEED. That would be one helluva proposition, to bring Lamar to Miami.
In case ya didn’t know, like Daunte Culpepper before him, Lamar is his own agent.
I wouldn’t give Lamar a totally guaranteed contract, 1 hit on his legs and he turns into an average Joe or halfway thru the contract he loses a step
100% agreed with Steve.
I think it is somewhat academic because I expect Tua to be back and be fine. But assuming he is not then yes you tender a big contract to Lamar. Probably 10 years. If in first 3-4 years of that contract he delivers a championship and has you in contention then the contract is worth every penny even if you get 6 years of crap there after
Don’t want to over simplify things here, but Z. Wilson passer rating when under pressure is 2.2 (out of 153.8)
I think we need to pressure him…..
LOL
From the Miami Herald:
After four games, the Dolphins defense doesn’t look like 2021
Umm…Yeah, yeah it does. I looks like the defense through the first 7 losses. They looked HISTORICALLY BAD opening the season last year before turning it around “when Flores took over”(BS)
I agree,
but not too many teams have had to face their arch rival,
then Jackson, Allen, and Burrow all in a row.
That’ll inflate anybody’s pass defense numbers.
Please note Rock’s numbers for Zach Wilson above as something that might help us bring our defensive stats back into normalcy.
Byron Jones had his leg surgery in early March. When the news of that came out I was “why so late?” He could have had it done in January. Seems we are paying the price for that choice of his now.
I have totally asked several people that same question.
Almost seems like he finagled a reduced season for himself.
Does he get a full season’s pay in such a case?
Injured players get full pay unless the waived/injured thing comes into play.
The dolphins also have the 2nd highest SOS in the league so far this year. (will come down now, but through 4 games the 2nd hardest strength of schedule)
I’m surprised we aren’t first….damn Pats. 🙂
I don’t think our D has played bad. They played very well against the Pats. Had a horrible 1st half against the Ravens but had a good second half. They held the Bills to 17 points. They did not really play that bad against Cincinnati either.
Lol at more presidential dropping an F bomb today at Ian site

OH, but, but, but he needs to retire
Here’s who else auditioned for Kaley Cuoco’s role of Penny in The Big Bang Theory. Show could have been real different.
Marisa Tomei
Tara Reid
Elizabeth Berkley (Saved by the Bell)
Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (Prison Break)

That is what the Steelers didn’t do. They tried most rushing 4 and couldn’t get there. Only sacked him once and he still threw 2 picks.
The Jets OL is much improved. I saw the Steelers send 6 rushers a couple of times and they picked them all up.
Wilson got all his yards on mostly chunk plays. Pressure him and he won’t have the time and falls apart.
scuse me
but Kohou is the top rated PFF defensive rookie and the #10 CB overall in the NFL.
M13, yes, I use PFF’s simulator. I like it.
Right now, I am using PFN’s simulator since PFF you can only go 2 rounds (for now) and PFN you can do all 7.
I didn’t realize the format for determining division and WC winners has changed- no more one game playoffs. So I assume the Braves won the division based on the season series?
Who are the Braves?
Whoever they are they should be forced to change their name in this PC world. 🙄🙄 the name is “racist”
I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet, lol.
Yes the Braves won the division and the wildcard is a best of 3 game series with the team with the best record having all the games at home. So the Mets host the Padres.
Oh, cool, that means same for the Cards/ Phils series.
Yes the Cardinals will host the Phillies.
Rock, speaking of racist, pc stuff- I was playing with my granddaughter yesterday, we were rubbing noses, and I was saying ‘Eskimo kisses’ and was quickly, and very gently, told by my youngest that it’s not ok to say that anymore.
I had no idea Eskimo was an offensive term.
Wow! What is so negative about that?
So can people still say Kama Sutra, discuss it or engage in it because it’s offensive to Indian people?
I wondered the same thing, lol.
I had to look it up; I guess the word Eskimo itself is offensive.
It’s all so ridiculous.
Yeah, I have a hard time with it sometimes. I try to balance my own feelings of ‘give me a break’ with acceptance that this is the way things are now.
All my kids are in this age range- early 20’s- all their friends, etc., and I choose not to roll my eyes and rather be accepting, but it isn’t always easy, lol.
Yeah I hear ya. I’m kind of the same way but sometimes I’m like oh geez people, come on!
Interestingly I learned that the independent MD doesn’t have the final say on the clearing a play to play from concussion. The team doctor has the final say. I was listening to a conversation about this on NFL radio
Well then… we lose another 1st round draft pick if true.
I don’t believe it to be true, JMO.
That doesn’t mean that it just means did Tua properly clear the protocol. I suspect he did
I should think the indy was put in place to OVERRIDE a team doctor’s decision. I dunno, just stating what seems to be common sense, but common sense is all but dead these days.
It’s true:
The UNC may present his/her own questions or conduct additional testing and shall assist in the diagnosis and treatment of concussions. Regardless, the responsibility for the diagnosis of concussion and the decision to return a player to a game remains exclusively within the professional judgment of the Head Team Physician or his/her physician designee responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of concussion. A UNC will also be present for sideline evaluations for neuropraxia (“stingers” or “burners”) and other potential spinal and peripheral nerve injuries.

Then we just lost another 1st round pick.
No. Don’t overreact. I still believe Tua cleared protocol as it is currently defined
I hear ya man, but the league is out to get us. I’ll be patient. I hope this all works out in the end for us, OBVIOUSLY.
Hines (colts rb) just had a Tua like Rubber leg moment.. he was escorted to dressing room
Tim and Cav .. yes we HAD a team in the CFL that last year had to change name from Eskimos to Elks due to it being offensive…
I believe(but may be wrong) it’s used as a blanket name for our Northern Natives which are made up of Inuit, and a few other types/tribes/ancestry…
I also was like WTF …
I still call them Redskins, Indians, and Eskimos, fuck you cancel culture
This game is boring as shit so far
Getting ready to shift over to VGK preseason
Gottlieb is a dick
News?
Just saw the format for baseball playoffs, top 2 seeds get a bye, next 2 seeds get all 3 games at home best of 3
That’s odd
It’s about how teams fared over a long season. Gotta give the better teams something.
Denver D is best I’ve seen
Indy’s offense is the worst I have seen
I’ve seen other Denver games, SF, Seattle
I saw the Seattle game. I was unimpressed
Just dreadful
They are horrid yes
Richard Sherman, who continues to be a member of the NFLPA Executive Committee after his retirement from the NFL, said that the union believes the concussion protocols were not followed after Tua struck his head during the Week Three game against the Bills.
The NFL apparently believes otherwise. Per Sherman, the NFL’s medical director, Allen Sills, says an “abundance of caution” was utilized. Said Sherman, “If an abundance of caution is putting him back in the ballgame, what does an aggressive approach look like?”
Good thing NFLPA doesn’t make the rules or take away picks
That was a ghost flag
Followed by a bad spot
Broncos WR can’t catch a cold
The Colts line can’t block. The Broncos can’t catch. No one can score
But we sure can bitch😁
What else is there to do?
It’s a defensive SlobberKnocker 😊 or an offensive offensive display
Prices have been going up, but starting to see deals again in restaurants, like we saw during last recession
Jackass Sherman thinks he’s Austin Powers
Ineptitude continues
Ice will be run out of Indy EOF
EOY
K EOY I understand LOL
Ice will be run to ER by EOTN
😳
NM got it
Lol Ken
I think I am done I can’t watch the 2nd half
I started Wilson in FFB .. I must finish the train wreck
It’s pretty pathetic for the NFL that their online gamecast is so bad I have to use the ESPN gamecast instead. This is YOUR product you effing tools.
John Madden and Howard Cosell would have a hard time making this game interesting
Yeah, it’s boooring. I switched to a gamecast on the ‘puter and I’m watching a show on TV instead.
Can’t say as I blame ya
Oh goodie next week Chicago vs Washington 🥱🤮
Matt Ryan seems to be done. The Colts are banged up with key players and they keep bringing in a new vet QB every year. They need to find their young guy. Their current window is closed. They’re not winning with this team.
Woohoo looks like OT
A tie is good too
Colts win is better!
Two points: Gottlieb is an F-Hed and the Colts should start Ehlinger at QB.
Lol
“Too many lived have been upended because of our failed approach to marijuana. It’s time that we right these wrongs.” Pres. JB
Agreed!

I didn’t know you could cheat in a fishing tourny….lmao…now I know….
The one that got me was “Oriental.”
How could that be construed as racist? I thought.
It means “rising” from the Latin,
as in Land of the Rising Sun,
meaning the Far East.
It is a human construct to consider each new day to rise there
with reference to the International Date Line.
It’s even on Japan’s flag.
Then I was told that it became used
to distinguish between the Chinese type of Asian
and the India and Middle East type of Asian.
Then I realized how it is racist.
Even though back in the days of the Roman Empire
the places we now call the Middle East and Near East were called the Orient
because they were at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea.
No one cares about 2000-year-old history, I was told,
if, in modern times,
a racist connotation has become associated with a term.
PS:
I was confused as a kid about that land of the rising sun thing,
since I was born on a barrier island
on the Atlantic Ocean,
where the sun rises every day
with no land in sight.
Sunrise Service was a ritual every Easter.
Let’s cater to 1%, so the majority can have grief
I guess someone had to win last night
Not really, if Denver kicks the FG a tie is 50/50
I look at it as someone losing, we need each to lose 6 games min, both are close to half or at halfway
I guess Eskimo is gone the way that Oriental is gone. It doesn’t bother me that Oriental is no longer acceptable because that happened a long time ago, but Edy’s Pie doesn’t sound as good Eskimo Pies. Has anyone just had the urge to get Pearl Milling Pancake mix or syrup? I still have two bottles of Aunt Jemima syrup that I will continue to refill, and one box of Aunt Jemima mix that I will do the same with. I may even buy a different company’s mix and syrup, but I will continue to use those containers as my own mild form of protest!
Now, if you said ornamental, then you’re trying to stir shit up and I can see why that isn’t acceptable
In other words, if someone has to analyze the situation standing on 1 foot while squinting in the hot sun, then FU its just political propaganda
I worked with a Mexican guy in LA, that used that slur
I worked with a black guy in LV, that loved to make watermelon and fried chicken jokes
These funny bastards used to crack me up
This propaganda has created the snowflakes
Lighten up Francis
Kohou rated top 10 CB by PFF
My problem with PFF rating is, how do they rate statistics, your cover catches a pass and you tackle him, does it matter, if you let him run 20 yards first or is a tackle a tackle?
How do they rate Dallas’ Diggs, the gambling CB with 11 ints, but can’t cover for shit on a team with great pressure upfront?
How do they rate Buffalo’s CBs, that get lots of help from a 4-man pass rush and 6 others in coverage?
I doubt they consider any of that, but with that said, if you’re a Fins CB left on an island, because of the blitz and the blitz doesn’t get pressure does it count against you?
If you’re a Fins CB rated in top 10 you deserve it
Let’s face it…right now the MSM have an agenda to hate on us at every opportunity they invent. Bloody parasites!
It’s perpetual hating of Tua, that has led them down this rabbit hole
They want him to retire, so they can say they were right, he’s a bust
Bass Pro Shops in Branson MO hosted a Garth Brooks concert last Friday
To get from the parking lot to the concert you had to ride a bus
They had 2 busses, which held 53 people to transport the thousands of guests
Traffic was a nightmare, just to get to the parking lot
Most people didn’t make it to the show and are trying to get refunds for $50 parking and $200 tickets, some got only parking refunds and some only got tickets refunds
Who was the genius behind this snafu?
