We haven’t lost a game when I’ve posted a picture I took of my TV screen for the GAMEDAY blog. That’s an oddity, but I will make sure to do it every game I can.
It’s weird to think GB is the only easy game left on our schedule. I’m really excited to see how we stack up in the next 3 games. Really hoping we didn’t just lose Armstead at the worst possible time.
Jax win over Balt really really is a gift today. Balt and Cincy play the last game of the season so depending on where we are at, we’ll know exactly who to cheer for LOL.
You actually still have time … I moved Moestart to bench .. anyone who has not participated in your lineup today can be dropped to grab one if there is one available
Had anyone else here experienced the same feeling as I, that after Tua got sacked for the first time in the 3rd quarter in a then meaningless 30-0 game, to PULL HIM!!!
And then how about after the second sack he took on the very next snap? PULL HIM!!!
And then how about the third sack he took in the 3rd quarter? PULL HIM!!!
And I didn’t even mention the first sack he took, late in the second quarter, where we all held our breath that he didn’t get fucked up.
I think ALL OF US now realize how important Terron Armstead is to our Offense.
Thought the 15-yarder Holland got for helmet to helmet was just unfair. The runner was diving to the ground and looked like Holand was going after his legs before he dived. Yeah their helmets hit, but is this a no-intention needed penalty?
M – was eating dinner. I think most of us do feel that way, it does seem Phelon is comfortable enough with next man up. I think we’ve been getting by with next man up pretty well, but Armstead has played so well for us, I don’t think either Jackson or Shell can do what he’s been doing. It also appears that Jackson is hurt, which makes it worse
Mike – I am comfortable with next man up. Today they were plying a new line up when Armstead went out. I think they put Shell back at RT. I seem to remember Armstead being out earlier in the season and someone stepping in and playing fine. Today was an anomaly, the result of coming off the bye, poor adjustment, and overconfidence stemming from a 30 point lead. Defensive coaching also leaned on that lead as they were playing soft and prevent for most of the 4th.
#Dolphins LT Terron Armstead suffered a pec strain, per me and @TomPelissero, that is not as bad as originally feared. He’ll miss some time, but the hope is he would be back on the field at some point relatively soon. Armstead has played through a lot in his career…
Josh Jacobs just saved my FF team this week. Still have 2 players to his one, down 138.96 – 121.90. I have Jalen Hurts and Najee Harris and he has Aaron Jones
Niners are playing very well as of late. That’s going to be a tough game next week. I assume that we will stay out on the West Coast for the Chargers game the following week.
Our new DL Zimmer got some quality snaps and looked large and mobile,
but got no stats.
We now have 2 DL from Ferris State, a Div 2 school.
(Sieler)
Must be some kind of record.
We were only 4/15 on 3rd down,
at least in part because of a drop by Waddle and
some inaccuracy by Tua,
not to mention long minutes with Skylar in there.
It’s no surprise that McDaniel has the respect of his players…
(I don’t know if it was causation or correlation, but when he (Armstead) left, the pass protection broke down a little bit. Were you guys scrambling a little?)
“No. We were struggling to a degree. I think I would have a part in that as much as anybody really. There were some play calling decisions that I definitely learned from. I put some guys in some unfair situations, was way too aggressive, and it was something that I told the team after the game that I’ll definitely learn from because it wasn’t fair to them.”
“When you do have some lineup changes, you can’t play the way that — or put them in situations they were put in. I don’t think that was a fair representation of the group in general, even if there was some lineup changes. They were able to tee off, and we hadn’t established the run game, and it kind of put the tackles in some real, real tough situations, and so something that we’ll all get better from it.”
The story is that Snyder/ the team announced they were going to unveil a statue of Taylor and that is what they unveiled instead. To me it would have been no big deal if they didn’t have a statue but if you are going to have one then do it right
Not sure this was posted yet, but when I got home yesterday, and saw the score and stats, to a perfect game, you guys sure pissed in my Cheerios with the Armstead injury

I’m hoping Armstead gets back sooner than later but his injury will make this next game against the 49’ers tough to win. Their defense is unreal this year with 4 straight second half shutouts. Our defense and STs still need a ton of work.
I was thinking the same thing watching the Niners yesterday, although the Niners kept their streak of 2nd half shutouts yesterday because the Saints were utterly inept. But the Niners kept capitalizing when it was there, and you have to give em credit for that.
The next 3 games, these teams will get pressure. We’re going to find out right away how our offense looks against a playoff type defense in the Niners on the road. If we can put up points against them, we can put up points against anyone.
The Colts Cowboys is not being flexed. That is already locked in place. Apparently the league wanted to flex to us and the 49ers but Jerry Jones apparently threw a hissy fit
considering home field usually generates 3 pts in spread, this feels about right. This is going to be a biggest challenge since Bills and Ravens for sure.
“I’ve probably never had this in my career, you know what I mean? Going on five years and never been in the conversation this late in the season. So just to have that, have the guys, everybody fighting hard, everybody coming in with the right mindset each and every day throughout the week is just, it’s special to see for sure.”
— Bradley Chubb point out that weather and low taxes aren’t the only reasons players want to come to Miami these days.
1st play of the 4th quarter both Chubb and Phillips were dropped back in coverage, they both made the tackle on the completion. Kinda weird to see both our best pass rushers dropping back on the same play.

I agree our D has done fairly well considering the injuries, especially in the secondary.
I posted my original comment after watching our punt coverage team give up about 10 more yards than they should have twice in a row.

Bro, there’s no question our STs coverage teams have sucked… I absolutely and 100% agree with ya. It’s one of the reasons I really wanted to retain Mack MF’n Hollins.
Found it interesting yesterday that pulling Tua made the case for pulling him. Not the same O without him, which proved not risking him with the large lead was the right move.
Thompson had 3 or 4 incompletions where I instantly said “Tua completes that pass”.
Our offense is very timing based, so it’s not fair to compare Thompson coming in off the bench and playing without getting reps with the 1s, but I think we all agree on this board that our offense just isn’t as dynamic with another QB under center.
We’re going as far as Tua takes us this year. It ain’t happening with Thompson or Bridgewater.
It’s funny you put it that way because in my original post, I almost said “I can’t wait until Crossman is gone in the offseason.”
I took it out because McDaniel dances to a different beat and it wouldn’t surprise me if he sticks with Crossman and gets the issue corrected some other way. I really believe in the way McDaniel is doing things, so…
He gently got rid of Chase Edmonds.
But he’s gone.
He got rid of DeVante, Lynn Bowden, and P Williams with 3 different levels of finesse.
He’s respectful of people, but …
It’ll be interesting to see if he outright cans Crossman or finds a way to use him like demoting the OL coach and Studesville.
Williams has caught 6 for 72 yds, btw, for Carolina.
Tua seemed a little frenetic at the start of this game. So did McDaniel with his play calling. It’s hard to believe with how fast Tua gets the ball out, but it seemed a number of his passes were coming out even quicker than normal (almost too quick), and he was getting them up a bit.

Jaylen Waddle (Da Penguin) is a mere 37 receiving yards away from becoming our 2nd 1,000-yard receiver this season, joining teammate ‘Reek Da Cheetah.
TRIVIA: when was the last time we had TWO 1,000-yard receivers in the same season? What year was it, who were the receivers, and who was the QB?
First to answer correctly wins an autographed boulder from our own Boulder! GO!!
It was the very last day of the season in ’91 (week 16) that both Clayton and Duper went over 1,000 yards for the season. We’re talking week 12 for Tua-Cheetah-Penguin to do as much… with Penguin only needing 37 more receiving yards!!!
I don’t fault Thompson as much as some others are for floundering and not getting it done when he came in.
The whole team came out flat in the second half. Thompson was just 1 of many not getting it done on both sides of the ball. Thompson had to run the offense without the 2 tackles who started the game and with a cramped up RB Wilson and a cramped up WR Hill. Couple that with some bad play calling (coach admitted to).
Good thing the D woke up just enough in the 4th quarter.
That said, even though a rookie, Thompson needs to step up when his number is called.
As CAV said, “We’re going as far as Tua takes us this year. It ain’t happening with Thompson or Bridgewater.”
Austin Jackson did not look good that whole game while he was in there. Tua gets rid of it so fast you can’t tell but Jackson was losing his block about a second into the play. He struggled to stay in front of the defender every snap it seemed.
They said Armstead will be out a while.
I have a very sick feeling in my stomach about this next game against possibly the best defense we faced yet. They are the best scoring defense in the league.
I think this game, we see some plays we have not seen yet. Maybe even some trickery. I hope no trickery though. Doesn’t seem to work for us very often and gets blown up.
On Monday, just a day after defeating the Houston Texans to improve to 8-3 on the season, the Miami Dolphins announced four transactions involving practice squad players.
Wide receiver Freddie Swain was restored to the practice squad after previously dealing with an injury. Miami also released offensive lineman Grant Hermanns and wide receiver Calvin Jackson Jr. from the unit.
The Dolphins did make one addition to the practice squad, signing veteran offensive tackle Kendall Lamm.
Lamm, 30, signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent back in 2015. He spent four seasons with the Houston, two with the Cleveland Browns, one with the Tennessee Titans and part of this season with the Detroit Lions’ practice squad.
The former Appalachian State offensive lineman has played 86 NFL games and has started in 28 contests.
Primarily a right tackle in his career, Lamm has also played some left tackle, and with Austin Jackson also dealing with an injury, there’s a chance he could be helpful at either spot.
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel says he’s confident LT Terron Armstead (pec) will play again this season. No return timeline but McDaniel said he wouldn’t rule out a return within a few weeks. As @TomPelissero & @RapSheet reported, they got good news on tests it wasn’t a season-ender.
Glad I put the soccer on. Would have had Skylar play the whole of that 2nd half. Very curious to hear MM’s thoughts
GO JAX!!!
In FG range
JAX takes the lead!
SIX Games left in the regular season. We may be underdogs in 3-4 of them.
Svucks
2-minute drill coming up for Lawrence of Trevoria…
HOLY SHIT, JAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t believe they ruled that’s TD but 👍👍😀
Going for 2 to win the game against the Ravens!!!
That’s a big set on Peterson!
JAX!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
67
no good
Pederson cojones > MM’s cojones today
Holy fuck! I thought the Ravens won it. Just short
Ravens down, sorry, not sorry
WHAT A WIN for the JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FUCK YEAH!!!
Fucker for Tucker. Ha
LOL
That was the first kick he’s missed in the fourth quarter or OT after making 65 straight. That was a hell of an effort
Hard to expect him to kick a 67 yard FG, although that may have been the best chance to win
Brian, HELL YEAH. Tucker has been INCREDIBLE over the course of his career.
One hell of an effort is 100%.
I actually thought he nailed it in real-time.
LET’S GO RAMS!!!
Go Jaguarrrrrsssss!!!!
What an incredible game that was, man!!!
Holy crap, I changed the Ravens game after they scored. I missed the big finish.
We haven’t lost a game when I’ve posted a picture I took of my TV screen for the GAMEDAY blog. That’s an oddity, but I will make sure to do it every game I can.
It’s kind of a bummer that Tucker’s ridiculously amazing streak had to end with a 67 yd attempt, but awesome the Ravens dropped one.
I still can’t believe we didn’t score in the second half
We beat up on the lesser teams over the last four games. I’m excited to see what this team is made of the next six games.
It’s weird to think GB is the only easy game left on our schedule. I’m really excited to see how we stack up in the next 3 games. Really hoping we didn’t just lose Armstead at the worst possible time.

Toba, thanks for the heads up on RB. Just didn’t see it soon enough..
You actually still have time … I moved Moestart to bench .. anyone who has not participated in your lineup today can be dropped to grab one if there is one available
Lamar 16/32
Pretty good for a RB.
Trick Question:
Who’s in first place in the AFCE?
And who said it would happen?
Good call!!
Agreed Cav. I hope he just strained his pec. Losing him for the season would effectively end any hopes of a deep run .
C’mon Man! He’s a good left tackle, not the team. Shell will go back to RT. Someone will play LT. All will be good.
Miami came out of the bye flat and still won easily, as they should have. They won playing playing less than optimally. They’ll be fine.
Phelon – the difference in our offense when Armstead went out was pretty stark. We had nothing after he went out, even when Tua was still in there.
In other words, if Armstead is OUT, someone is really going to have to step up, it didn’t happen in this game
I think we ALL know this, Mike E.
M – judging by Phelon’s reply above, I don’t think he feels that way, which is who I’m replying to. Are you following the convo?
LOL, I most certainly AM following the convo. I agree with ya 100%.
We’re in deep poop if Armstead goes out for any extended period of time, as evidenced today, my guy.
And this was against the statistically worst team in the NFL, to boot.
Mike check… is this thing on Mike E?
Thank you Jacksonville

9ers RB Mitchell knee injury
Think they want Wilson back 🙂
Their cupboard is quite bare compared to beginning of season
I can only imagine what this board would have read like if the 1st half was the 2nd half and vice versa.
Thought the 15-yarder Holland got for helmet to helmet was just unfair. The runner was diving to the ground and looked like Holand was going after his legs before he dived. Yeah their helmets hit, but is this a no-intention needed penalty?
No intent penalty
Runner’s helmet was two-feet from the ground. What’s Holland supposed to do?
Not hit him head to head
Holland was already launched. Don’t think he can change the laws of physics.
It doesn’t matter he has the obligation to avoid head to head contact
M – was eating dinner. I think most of us do feel that way, it does seem Phelon is comfortable enough with next man up. I think we’ve been getting by with next man up pretty well, but Armstead has played so well for us, I don’t think either Jackson or Shell can do what he’s been doing. It also appears that Jackson is hurt, which makes it worse
CMC is also nicked up trying to stretch out his legs on sideline since half time
Mike – I am comfortable with next man up.
Well we don’t really have any choice but next man up. Still it is a big loss
No doubt. But every team has to face it. I just think this coaching staff will adjust if needed.
I can only hope you’re right. This is one time I’d be ecstatic to be wrong.
As I am not one of the ALL, I think you will be ecstatic.
Pig celebration
Everyone enjoy some bacon
That’s great news!
Fuck Chargers pull it out
And the Rams still suck so the Chiefs stay ahead of Miami in seeding.
MC back in game .. Mitchell will not be
Badminton?
Niners RBs
Ah
Saints played the entire 2nd half on the Niners side of the field and couldn’t get any points.
Josh Jacobs just saved my FF team this week. Still have 2 players to his one, down 138.96 – 121.90. I have Jalen Hurts and Najee Harris and he has Aaron Jones
I’m up on you by 13 with Watson And TJ Watt, you have Hurts and Steelers D.. could be an upset coming 🤔😊
Could be, someone’s going to be upset after tomorrow. lol
I think this is right
Niners are playing very well as of late. That’s going to be a tough game next week. I assume that we will stay out on the West Coast for the Chargers game the following week.
Bosa vs Terron’s replacement is going to be a problem
It will be a blood bath if they don’t provide a TE to help
We have to run
The issue with Armstead missing time is not simply him being out, but the fact that he makes the ENTIRE OL better when he’s in there.
We only allowed 36 rushing yards today.
Yay
We only rushed for 66 yards today.
Why so few?
Hill and Waddle both caught 85 yards today.
Thank God for Cracraft who got 55.
Gesicki got shut out.
We got 5 LB sacks today,
if you count Phillips and Chubb as OLB and
Baker, Riley, and Roberts as ILB.
Our new DL Zimmer got some quality snaps and looked large and mobile,
but got no stats.
We now have 2 DL from Ferris State, a Div 2 school.
(Sieler)
Must be some kind of record.
I’m just gonna leave this here
I glimpsed Ross on the sideline.
We were only 4/15 on 3rd down,
at least in part because of a drop by Waddle and
some inaccuracy by Tua,
not to mention long minutes with Skylar in there.
9rs only got 13 points today, even though Jimmy G threw it 37 times.
If Jimmy G has to throw 37 times it will be a good day for us
I guess we’ll need to bring Kion Smith up from PS.
I didn’t watch the Jax v Ravens game but heard max won
Just watching highlights now and realized that Ravens blew another lead
Wow – can you remember another team choking like the ravens have this year.
Celebrating Victory Monday like
An omen
Rushed 4 and Baker got home big style
At least one good decision was made at HT 😉
Ring of honor? They put up a Tunsil statue up outside Hardrock a while ago.

No catches for Mike Gesicki. Can’t see that being the case if he did this more often after the catch.
LMAO
That’s got to be helmet to helmet?
Snyder’s a cheap bar-steward.
Why????
Because he was murdered? Why does he deserve a statue? Because he went to one pro-bowl? So what!?
Boo hoo he deserves more. WHY? Why is this even a story 15 years after 18K other people were murdered that year. (NO HE DOES NOT!)
^
The story is that Snyder/ the team announced they were going to unveil a statue of Taylor and that is what they unveiled instead. To me it would have been no big deal if they didn’t have a statue but if you are going to have one then do it right

Yep. I think they may have the best overall D in the league so if we keep scoring, it will say a lot.
Same ole shit, every time we get some momentum we get kicked in the ass by something, if it isn’t an injury to Tua or Armstead it’s something else
We might get flexed to Sunday night football for the chargers game on 12/11
So that is two possible flexes, right? Aren’t they also talking about flexing the Bills game?
I guess it’s possible – they can flex whatever they want
The next 4 games are
Colts v Cowboys
Chiefs v Broncos
Patriots v Raiders
Bucs v Cardinals
I would flex all hose games and look for games with 2 contenders playing each other
The Colts Cowboys is not being flexed. That is already locked in place. Apparently the league wanted to flex to us and the 49ers but Jerry Jones apparently threw a hissy fit

McDaniel took the blame for the bad second half.
He should’ve.
He’s a rookie, for real. He’s still learning.
This game he learned what NOT to do
when you have a huge lead at half time.
Very much agreed. Coach is a champ and took it on the chin for our follies in the 2nd half. He’s still learning, and that’s actually scary good!
GO!
Ingram and Fryar with Marino
Close, but INCORRECT! I also wanted a year attached, but that doesn’t matter with your answer.
1984 Marino Duper Clayton
Warm, but incorrect!
1st play of the 4th quarter both Chubb and Phillips were dropped back in coverage, they both made the tackle on the completion. Kinda weird to see both our best pass rushers dropping back on the same play.
Keep’em guessing. Thinking there were some OL guys without anyone to block.

There is no reason our coverage teams should be this bad week in and week out.
I’m actually very surprised at how good they’ve been, in spite of all of our injuries.
NOT saying they’ve been good/great, just sayin’ that I expected far worse.
You’re surprised they are good enough for last in the league? lol
The Ravens kickoff return for a TD was week 2 (the only KO return for a TD in the league this year). It’s been bad all year, injuries are no excuse.
We’re #22 in passing-yards yielded (from the best)
We’re #19 (tied) in passing TDs yielded
We’re #15 in first downs yielded
We’re not even close to last in the league, man.
Ahhh got it, you can’t read.
Just busting balls. I see my original post wasn’t clear. I meant special teams coverage.
AH! Now we’re speaking the same language, ya Big Ape! LOL
I agree our D has done fairly well considering the injuries, especially in the secondary.
I posted my original comment after watching our punt coverage team give up about 10 more yards than they should have twice in a row.
Feely surprised the Texans cut it down to a 2 score game with the FG instead of going for it on 4th and 6.

Completely agreed. Also means we are a Tua ACL tear from next year.
It’ll be very interesting to see if any coaches are replaced in the off season. (ST)
I don’t think McDaniel will put up with mediocrity, let alone failure.

I still think Tua missed at least 4 passes he normally hits no problem, not to mentioning hanging Hill out to take a very bad hit.
very rusty

GO!!

1984 Marino Duper Clayton
Hint: somebody above has the QB and WRs correct… just the wrong year.
I didn’t put a year but it was 94
Clayton and Duper ’91.
Wrong year, Hulkster.
Hint #2: it was Marino, Clayton, and Duper.

BOOOOOOM!!!!
Congrats, CavKong! Contact Boulder for S/H for that autographed boulder!
Yup, it was 1991! How long ago was that?

wow, I’m surprised. I guessed on the year after you told us it was Clayton and Duper.
It was the very last day of the season in ’91 (week 16) that both Clayton and Duper went over 1,000 yards for the season. We’re talking week 12 for Tua-Cheetah-Penguin to do as much… with Penguin only needing 37 more receiving yards!!!
*Game 12, not week 12.
But, but, but… Tua has a noddle arm…
*Noodle arm
And, and, and… he can’t see over the O-Line… and he’s a Samoan… and, and, and… he just sucks…
Play calling was not but Skylar didn’t help anything with his play
Skylar is still very… GREEN. 😉
No, he didn’t. Like I said, he was one of many that second half.
You and I have the exact same sick feeling in the stomach regarding next week, my man.
Plus, it will be ‘master vs mentor’.
I didn’t know coaches did this mic’d up thing. Should be fun.
Per NFL radio partial tear for Armstead he is out 2-3 weeks
Sucks we’re losing him for this big 3 games road trip, but at least he should be back for our stretch run.
This really sucks and couldn’t have come at a worse time.
It’s definitely not good news
