BOOM! You just ran into a wall named Eddie Goldman. How does your Earthling weak skull feel? A little dizzy? Me too. No I didn’t run into Eddie Goldman. My head is spinning from all the quality players coming in to the NFL in 2015. Eddie Goldman is just one of them. You better not run into him.
Pound for pound, Goldman might be the best big run stuffer in this draft He has a big and powerful upper body and it shows on the football field. The 6’4, 320 pound defensive tackle reminds some experts of our very own Randy Starks but others compare him to pro-typical 3-4 nose tackles.
Goldman’s strength is clearly against the run. He is not exactly a consistent pass rusher. But he does have a good initial burst and has some quickness. Its possible that Goldman is just scratching the surface of his potential.
He is clearly athletic enough to do more than just clog running lanes. But even if he is just a 2-down run stuffer – he is a good one! A few mocksters have mocked Goldman to the Dolphins at 14 – but I think he is more likely to go early 2nd round, mainly because he is not a great pass rusher. While Goldman probably won’t collect a lot of sacks early in his career, he might develop into a good pass rusher, so nabbing him in the 2nd round might be a real steal.
Most defensive tackles don’t have awe inspiring statistics but Goldman did manage to have 35 tackles and four sacks in 2014. His biggest play of the year was a crucial forced fumble against Clemson when the Seminoles desperately needed a big play.
If I was going to compare Eddie Goldman to an Alien Weapon of Destruction, I would compare him to the Impenetrable Gamma Ray Wall of Lower Centaurus. You cannot pass!!!

Sign Suh, re-sign Clay or keep him at his transition tag, draft a WR in the 1st, then add OL, LB and DBs thru both FA or the draft. That’s the fuckin shit right there.
I guess we can add quality interior OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds
But I would prefer we have some vets and give Turner a shot to start
I want
To draft LBs and DBs in day 2 and part of day 3
It would be great to have an extra 2nd or 3rd
If we did
I would draft one of these 4 positions with each pick
ILB/OLB/CB/S
Hickey was part of the Tampa from office that drafted lavante David
So I think he is confident he can get a quality LB in day 2
I also want a proven G in FA, I said both FA and the draft you silly pig. LOL
I agree on LB and DB on day 2-3. I don’t think this is a great 4-3 LB class, it’s a better 3-4 OLB/4-3 DE class – edge rushers. That is what will help the top WRs fall to us.
And of we signed Suh
And drafted Perryman
(My dream)
A lot of opposing offenses would have quite the Monday morning headache
That would be very physical
You mean Perriman who can take it to the house.
Perryman has some coverage issues and fades a bit late in games.
I think he is fine in coverage
Not as good as Kendrick’s but good
I don’t see him fading
I think the hurricanes as a whole didn’t put their players in position to perform at a high level
So much talent
They would tag team them. Perryman would knock ’em down…and Suh would proceed to step on them. These guys got this!
I would not be surprised if our starting LBs are Jenkins, Misi and Tripp next year – Misi and Tripp at either MLB or SOLB. I have a feeling Tripp has an overachiever mentality at 6-3 240 sub 4.7 athlete. I think he’ll work hard to be good.
I was excited about Tripp back when we drafted him and a lot of guys here were like WTF.
Now Tripp has to be real excited himself seeing Wheeler dumped & Ellerbe about to be.
This was one of the CB’s along with Brand Flowers that Miami was rumored to be looking at early on.
Texans re-signed CB Kareem Jackson to a four-year, $34 million contract.
The Texans are keeping one of the top cornerbacks off the market in Jackson, who graded out as PFF’s No. 11 corner last season. Jackson will return to start opposite Johnathan Joseph, but should continue to play the slot in nickel packages. The demand for free agents Byron Maxwell and Brandon Flowers will increase with Jackson staying in Houston.
I also like McKinney despite his dropping stock to play OLB
If he’s a 2 down LB his first year I’m Ok with that!
Teach him coverage he’s fast enough!
OD: I agree he was the worst GM we ever had. All is well here in California it’s sunny and 75° right now!! Hope you are doing well I see Steve Ross is doing his best to alienate long time season tix holders saw your post the other day.
Woah
Slow down on the Tripp talk
Why would you ruin a Suh signing by starting Tripp ….lol
There’s good film on him in college attacking the LOS and dropping back in coverage. I think we can do some different things with him.
Who’s your favorite players in this draft? Mine are WR Kevin White on offense and DL Leonard Williams on defense, though I know we probably have no shot at either of them, especially Williams who I think goes top 3, White probably 8-12.
Offense: Justin Hardy& Laken Tomlnson
Defense: Perriman & Beasely
You threw a monkey wrench into my question. I went with the top dogs and you went with favorites like I asked.
Okay, I like LB Kendricks on defense in the 2nd and G Marpet in the 3rd. 🙂
Offense: White and Strong
Defense: Perryman and Ifoooooooooooooooooooooo
My hope as a Dolphin fan is that we can someday erase OD and Gigi’s disdain for this organization. 🙂
MY HOPE, TOO! –But it won’t happen as long as Steve Ross owns the franchise.
YES. Miss Gigi, Ross is up to his old tricks. —-One of my “BOYZ,” John the chef, was moved from downstairs on the Dolphins side near the 30 to UPSTAIRS near the 30 (and he’s been on this account since the 70’s). When he asked if anything was available UPSTAIRS nearer to the 50, he was told “YES, but you’ve got to buy AT LEAST 3 SEASONS TICKETS TO GET THEM!”
ONE MORE SHITTY SEASON will see another big drop in season’s tix, just in time for the “Canopy Project.” Combine the worst owner in Dolphins’ history with the worst GM and THIS IS WHAT YOU GET!!! —-By the way, ticket prices DEFINITELY will go up next season, no atter how bad the Fins do THIS SEASON.
———————
ALSO, ROSS still has NOT announced WHEN parking passes will go on sale, let alone how much they will be. Last year, Ross charged season tix holders $20 per game. –I’m betting this year’s price will be about $30 per game, A 50 PERCENT INCREASE!!
——————–
BTW, the Dolphins say your season ticket “credit card” was good for discounts at the concession stands. NOT MINE!! –Mine did not work, so I had to pay full price for food and beverages. –They are making the same claims THIS SEASON, namely that your card will automatically give you discounted concession prices. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE, FOLKS!! —
This is why I don’t like going to live sporting events like that anymore. After paying a lot of money for a ticket, they have the gall to charge you another $20 just to friggin park, then rob you blind with concessions.
That’s the way it is everywhere with some exceptions maybe. Then a hot dog and a beer costs $16. It’s ridiculous but that’s the way it is.
TIM; YOU CAN’T buy a beer and a hotdog at Ross’s place for $16. Last year beer was $13-$16 and hotdogs were. I think, either $7 or $8. YOU may be fine with those prices but I am NOT. Did NOT buy a single beer or hotdog at Sun Baked Stadium last year and I sure as hell won’t this year, either.
OD and Gigi, Giant fans families who had season tickets on the 50, 4th row or whatever, maybe 8 tickets had to fork up $200K (PSLs) just for the right to continue buying those seats at $100+ per game per year. Ross isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.
YES HE IS, SILLY TIM!!! – – You claim Giants’ charged $200,000 for PSL for an account?–I’ll believe that when I see it!! IF YOU think getting bumped from downstairs after 30-40 years as a season ticket holder to upstairs AND BEING FORCED TO BUY 3 SEASON TIX IS NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY THEN I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. Your tolerance for bullshit is much higher than this old army vet.
That was totally uncalled for. Reality is a bitch. Don’t blame me for it.
NOT BLAMING you for Ross’s bullshit. BUT if you put up with this all I can say is “your tolerance for bullshit” is much higher than mine. And that’s a fact.
My cousins who are loaded benefited from the PSLs to land 4 season tickets to Giants games. They could have landed really good seats but bought close to the rest of the family higher up for comradery. At anytime they can buy great seats available but the tailgate and good times overrules the day. They went to GB and SF a few years ago on the Giants SB run.
Sports is big business now, the old guard of loyalty is gone. Show me the money is all anyone cares about anymore.
I still don’t see Ellerbe on the cut list!
Please link if it’s official!!!
Speculation at this time but will probably happen.
Kool thought I’d lost my Instant gratification there for a moment! 😉
OD, I get your ire, but it’s not just Ross.
My family of Giants fans had to pay $2,000 per seat for PSLs just to keep the right to purchase 4 seats at $90 per for 10 games (2 PS) every year up in the 300s with the pigeons.
The 200K thing was real. New people (wealthy) moved in and got them from generations of blue collar types who supported the team for 50+ years and couldn’t afford it anymore. It was big news back a few years ago. Google it.
NO THANKS. Reading about stuff like that isn’t what I’m all about. But as one ex-New Yorker told me, “That’s why I moved down here —- to get as far away from that stuff as I can.”
I guess you didn’t move far enough away.
I went to this years Daytona 500 again as I usually do since it’s close by.
The tix were a lil under a $100, parking was free, seats were good, big jumbo screens as well.
But the best part…they let you bring your own coolers and back packs into the stands.
Yes, you can bring in your own beer, liquor, ice, sub sandwiches, snacks etc.
Southern hospitality at it’s finest!!!
Yee Haw 😀
Red Neck! LOL
Not all rednecks anymore….lots of educated business types are into it now. Redneck sport was the origin of it, now it’s very widely commercial to all kinds of groups.
I don’t think ellerbee has been cut yet WY
We get more cap space if we cut him after 6/1
That’s the way you do it baby!!! LOL
Joking, GD. Whatever makes you have fun. 🙂
It’s primarily white southerners. There are not a lot of people of color or other orientations. I agree with you, though- if he enjoys it, I’m happy for him. I have family, friends and neighbors who love the sport. Oddly, none of them are black, or Hispanic, or gay, or non-religious.
LOL
I did see black people there, not a lot, but some like racing. Years ago there was a black driver in the sport for a short time. His name was Willy T. Ribbs. I’m serious, you can’t make this shit up. 😉
There were so many black people- you could count them. But that’s my point. Look, the nba has players that are not black, but let’s face it, it’s primarily a black sport.
What’s wrong with Rednecks?
I DUNNO. – – From 1966 through 1968 Joe Robbie let Dolfans bring large coolers loaded with alcohol to the games in the historic Orange Bowl. Then, in 1968, during a Jets game, some NEW YORK REDNECKS(??) tossed a 2 foot by 4 foot cooler over the side of the upper deck in the general direction of MY SEATS in the lower deck!! –It miss me by about 8-10 feet and crashed into an empty seating area, DESTROYING THE WOODEN PLANKS that were marked off about every 28 inches into seats. A group of Miami-Dade’s finest ran upstairs and arrested about 12-15 Jet fans, putting them in shackles and handcuffs, and leading them downstairs for a couple of large paddy wagons while German Shepherds (Police Dogs) nipped at their ankles. –I tell you it was a beautiful sight!! – – BUT, it marked the END of the “Bring your own booze to the ball game” era.
NY Rednecks has to be an oxymoron!
Damn northerners ruin everything is what was once a pristine oasis in Florida.
At the racetrack I never saw a fight in quite a longtime. Everybody seems very friendly no matter what driver you are rooting for or wearing on your back or on your hat.
It fuckin hurts when you’re a pale skin. LOL
Try
I don’t know if that is 100% true or not
Lot’s of folks I grew up with in the Mountains of the West are Nascar Fans!
White? Consider themselves country western fans? I’m not arguing, I’m sure there are exceptions, but we know the truth- and there’s no reason to feel defensive about it. It is organically what it had always been- a sport originated and dominated by white males with certain leanings.
I was just talking Geographic’s
The other stuff is minutia!
I didn’t say 100%. But I’d comfortably say 95% 😉
My favorite offensive player is Kevin White, but I wouldn’t mind Perriman, Strong or Dorsett. On defense, I like Gerod Holliman, Danny Shelton, Golson, Jalen Collins, D’Joun Smith

Did Bill Elliot run over your dog?
You seem to have some anger going on?
ROTFLMAO
I have a question for you: who’s Bill Elliott?
If your serious you shouldn’t be talking about Nascar !
I go to one or two Giants games a year. Ticket price $95, parking $25 – usually paid for by season ticket holders (family), tailgate is $10 per person for those who host it, $40 bucks minimum at the concession stands. $250-300 for a 6-7 hour Sunday. It’s a choice.
OD, I’m not sure how it comes down to me tolerating anything? It’s a choice to go to the games. Don’t go then.
“Damn northerners ruin everything is what was once a pristine oasis in Florida.”
There’s your reason there will never be world peace. We can’t even be fellow countryman, we’re adversaries.
No He’s a dick
not an advisory! 😉
Maybe that was a Freudian slip?
Meant adversary
OMG Tim, I was joking, like you was about me being a redneck. Loosen your girdle a lil will ya! 😉
But you spilled the beans already. There is always a little truth to a comment. Sinner! LOL
Don’t make me sic Jahn on ya Tim…lol
Well I could say I like steak and he would question me about that. LOL
Relax, Jahn, just joking and busting balls. 🙂

I’m just messing with you!
Bill Elliot was a champion driver in the 80’s
He was my favorite Driver – Drove the #9 Coors Ford
2 of my very favorite things at the time!
The religion thing does have me curious though?
I’ve never seen Racing as a religious thing?
No but, I think I might have seen a black person in the crowd. LOL

It’s fine. I live in the south, have for most of my life. I know about things. And to be honest, I had heard of Bill Elliott before- just giving you a little business. Each his own.
I was just going through the commonalities of the average southerner. My guess is there are not a lot of openly agnostic or atheist southerners at a nascar event.

Would have needed to pay Cobb 10m a year
Yeah. I knew he would be a good fit but couldn’t afford him.
Wrote a what I would do off season plan and so far its all happened like I thought it would with exception I was going to rework Hartline’s contract not cut him. I we resign him, its essentially same thing so maybe still have a chance to be right there. Still need ellerebe and starks cut and Wallace traded. Such would be and upgrade over Knight on who I thought would be our DT pickup, but still same position upgraded through same path.
Suh not such. Oh and I cut Smith too. Wheeler was a June 1 designation cut so that happened too. I’m glad he is gone. Pissed me off every time I saw him rocket past a ball carrier. Hate undisciplined play and that was completely his game
I wonder how they could tell he needed to be tested?http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/laron-landry-busted-again-for-peds–will-be-suspended-10-games-231016362.html

We haven’t signed “such” yet
But I bet he is thinking about it

I have been told that Suh to Miami is a done deal. They are ready to offer as much as $59M guaranteed:

http://network.yardbarker.com/author/article_external/18410135
Interesting to hear Miami was 1 of 3 teams offering Cobb a contract of 4yrs 48million.
@NFLFilmStudy: Per a source, the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders and one unnamed team were offering Randall Cobb as much as $48 million over 4 years
Unreal
Good receiver though!
This leads me to think Agholor might become a fin. As I said in my article Cobb is my player comparison for him👍
SouthFlaSportsBlogᴴᴰ @SouthFlaSports · 1m1 minute ago
As @PabloGRadio said this morning, Lions beat reportes say they’ve turned their attention to Nick Fairley and won’t match any offer for Suh.
If it’s true that Suh has picked Miami other names and rumors should start heating up. I think we may go after a Boling for LG & rise out with a low level WR signing and a few CB’s to improve depth. Looks like everyone needs to start focusing on those DBs available in rounds 1&2 unless Tannenbaum/Hickey combo have an ace up their sleeve for DB.
Those of us without WR fetishes have been looking the whole time!
😉
LOL. Or should I say focus a little harder😆
Rock
It’s Suh, not Sigh.
Big question now….has Miami put out an offer to Maclin? If not, the team must’ve not liked what Lazor had to say.
The chargers signed Jacoby jones
If Miami did land Maclin I wouldn’t be shocked to see DBs taken in rounds 1&2. Collins, Wayne’s, Peters, Smith, Johnson. Any of those combos.
I’m really hoping we draft wrs not sign ufa
Same here Pig.
With you. I said similar to what you said about fa when we were going after Wallace. My feeling had been that fa wr are never a good investment, as their roi is never equal to what they were with their prior team, which was the motivation for offering them the huge contract in the first place.
I do not remember 1 top tier wr that changed teams in fa who did as well or better with his new team as he did with his previous one.
So nice you say it twice? You stuttering?
Did not realize you were Porky Pig!
Hello captain obvious. I pray Omar makes a dipshit comment to Suh like he did to Burnett.
I’m going to go get the Papers, get the papers
@PhinManiacs: However, Cobb went back to Green Bay. Dolphins were never a serious contender.
@PhinManiacs: Following up on the Cobb story with new info. Yes, Dolphins did inquire but talks never got serious. Raiders offered a boat load of money
Good to know.
If Suh ends up here, and in light of the Cobb rumors, this is starting to seem more and more like Philbin better get into playoffs this year or it is over.

@CharlesRobinson: Multiple league sources continue to be definitive on Ndamukong Suh locked into #Dolphins. Deal expected to set new guaranteed $ for defense.
Who knows- maybe this time it’ll pay off. It hasn’t in the past, but you never know. But you all are already aware of my skepticism.
It’s just starting to sound more and more like that ’94 season, where we brought in all those free agents and crashed, only to be carrying their contracts for years afterwards.. an I remembering that correctly?
Skepticism is good. In 95 Shula went for broke signing a ton of non-scheme fit players along with plenty of inconsistent players. Suh would be different. Cobb was a very consistent player and a scheme fit, but it sounds like Miami just did their due diligence with him.
Fair enough. Shula also was in no threat to be fired if it didn’t work out (at that time), so it didn’t have the same air of desperation- though I suppose that’s also incorrect, as they knew Marino was coming close to the end of his career and were losing up for a final run.
I don’t see desperation right now. If we go on a unprecedented spending spree like 2013 then I’ll change my tune. We’re going to sign FAs, but which ones and contract amounts will indicate how desperate we are👍
One trade down that will cost you Kevin White
But it gains you so much more! 🙂
This will help

how about signing Suh and then trade all our picks for for chance of taking the top defensive pick. We save with salary of 7 picks plus we have a awesome defense for several years. Sort of like jj watt and cloney in houston
It’s working for them!
😉
I think j.Clowney was hurt most of this season and JJ Watt still dominated. I can’t wait to see both of them on the same field at the same time. I think we can create this excitement with Suh and a high draft choice for defense. Let’s not forget we already have a shut down corner and we have Wake.
this might entice some FA’s at a lower price to come to us during the second FA period and for sure next year with chance for them to get to SB.
GOOD MORNING DOLFANS EVERYWHERE!! –Woke up to temps in the low 60’s with a mild breeze from the north. It’s now an even 70 degrees and mostly sunny. –Just another spectacular day in Tampa Bay. For today I’m going to forget the screwing Steve Ross gave me and all my “BOYZ” on the season tickets and focus, instead, on the local things that make this area special.
HOPE the weather is getting better for all you northern Dolphin fans. Will be thinking of you as we travel along the beach. Hope some of you can do what Piggy did and take a sanity break in south Florida.
WOW, this Suh thing is really close to happening. I hope it is a big positive for Miami….bout time our luck turned around.
I’m sure the thinking is…If we can hold opponents under 24 pts a game, then we should be able to now Win most of our games!
Amen!
Go Phins!
In Hickey we trust! 😉
I’ll still believe it on Suh when Schefter puts it out, but it was nice to read this from the ESPN Boston guy:
“Patriots followers certainly remember past games against the Lions, even in the preseason, when Suh was a terror to Brady.”
YOUNG STANGER; How’s da weather over in Ft. Lauderdale? –Hope you have a “Suh-per” day!!
It’s a little on the cool side, probably low-70’s but I ain’t complaining.
Suh pretty good life. 🙂
overcast
Jet Suck
I actually thought you were being sarcastic
They will be great together when healthy!
For 2 years then you won’t be able to afford both!
But it aught to be fun to watch
I hope we get the Oline straightened out!!!!! We will se it this year!
if albert comes back healthy and the OL coach brings his former players and gets coachable players then I say go for a chance of building the greatest defense ever. The Pittsburgh defense gave up 24 points I believe over final 11 games of their season. They are considered by many people as the greatest defense of all time.
Stanger, if the only thing Suh accomplishes with Miami is us sweeping the Pats for the next 6 years then I’m totally stoked it is a good signing no matter how much we pay him! 🙂
That’s a lot to ask for, but one can dream. And I ain’t taking Suh as a done deal. Seen too many surprise turnarounds on better confirmed signings in the past.
Be Back Later. FAU hosts Rutgers in Division I baseball in 28 minutes. Figures to be a tough day for the Jersey Boys.
….and from Left Field….
Free agent DE Jarvis Jenkins is drawing interest from the Cardinals and Dolphins.
Jenkins is interested in a return to Washington, but the two sides have only talked “briefly.” Arizona is looking for Darnell Dockett’s replacement opposite Calais Campbell, while Jenkins would be viewed as a fallback plan to Ndamukong Suh at defensive tackle in Miami. Coming out of Clemson, soon-to-be 27-year-old Jenkins was viewed as a penetrator, but he’s been more of a run stuffer.
I’m wary of Suh’s price, but if Dawn does her usual magic it will be like buying on a credit card……we won’t feel the hit until after next season.
My guess is Suh’s 2015 cap number would be about the same as the $6 mil we have Starks on the books for. So in essence we could sign Suh, cut Starks and then do exactly what we would otherwise have done.
Good point…I’ve read where Suh’s 2015 cap hit could be as low as $4-$5M…then when we make more changes next year, plus a larger Cap from the NFL, we should be fine.
Now just pray Suh stays healthy & free from stupid costly penalties.
Andrew Abramson ✔ @AbramsonPBP
Clay likes Tannehill & Lazor’s offense. If Buffalo absurdly overpays him I guess he’d have to do it, but I know he wants to stay w/Dolphins.
If he goes with the Bills it won’t because the Bills are beating the $7 mill he got off the tag, it’ll be because he wants the security of a three or four year contract and we aren’t willing to give it.
This is the story of Billy Joe and Bobbi Suh
two young players with nothing better to do
than sit around the house
get rich and sign contracts
Go on take the money and run
Go on take the money and run
Whoo whoo who
Whoo Suh Suh…
LOL — but Billy Joe Dupree ain’t young any more.
any relation to Marcus ?
No idea — he was a good player back in the 70’s though.
son of a son of a suhla ??
LOL — a name change me be in order to honor the Suh signing if it comes.
LOL, love it
Glad it was perceived as Blasphemous
Was NOT
this is considered by many as the greatest defense of all time. I had great pleasure watching them destroy teams running games making them 1 demonstrable. Their defense outscored oppts offense during this period.
1976 Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers defenses of the 1970s are legendary, but the 1976 unit was the best (slightly better than the ’75 squad). Here’s why: 28. That’s how many points the Steel Curtain surrendered in the last nine games of the season. That’s a total. As a result, Pittsburgh, which started the season 1-4, made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, which they lost to the Raiders 24-7. (It’s worth noting that Pittsburgh running backs Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier were both injured in that contest.)
The ’76 Steelers didn’t have it easy — their opponents had a .528 winning percentage. But they had these guys: Hall of Famers Mean Joe Greene, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham and Mel Blount. And eight Steelers defensive players made the 1976 Pro Bowl team: cornerback J.T. Thomas, defensive end L.C. Greenwood, Greene, Ham, Lambert, defensive back Glen Edwards, safety Mike Wagner, and Blount.
That was a great Defense
28 points in nine games is incredible.

look at all the shutouts at the end of the season. They shutout 3 teams in a row and 8 of final 9 teams didn’t score aTD.
Amazing — they did the reverse of what the Phins did last season, and then some. 🙂
If we let Clay go to the Bills I’m gonna be pissed. I’m also not buying any more jerseys for awhile. 😦
Clay ain’t leavin’ – write that down
I hope you’re right. Not just because of the jersey thing, but he’s our own guy we hit on in the 6th round and he’s a playmaker who opposing teams have trouble dealing with.
LOL at the Jersey curse
Tim

Billy Joe Tolliver, I think, was the last known sports figure to be a Billy Joe.
He had a few cups of coffee in the NFL.
Stanger : Marcus was another Great RB as well, that had a very shortlived Career in the Pro’s.. USFL and very short NFL.. Good 30 in 30 on him titled “the best that never Was”
I remember the name, but not the player. The USFL might have been the problem….could never get into it. Guess that is true of a lot of folks given what happened to it.
Lot of good players got their starts there..
Ok I can stop now!!!!!!!!!!
Here’s the playbook Hickey make it happen!
Your score is: 6220 (GRADE: A)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 16 (HOU): DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville (A)
Round 2 Pick 15: Shaq Thompson, OLB/ILB, Washington (A)
Round 2 Pick 19 (HOU): Derron Smith, FS, Fresno State (B)
Round 3 Pick 14: Benardrick McKinney, ILB, Mississippi State (B+)
Round 4 Pick 15: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M (A)
Round 5 Pick 14: Senquez Golson, CB, Ole Miss (A)
Round 6 Pick 15: Tyler Varga, FB, Yale (A)
Round 7 Pick 15: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (B+)
Tim, Tanny needs Clay & Clay needs Tanny. It would have to be a huge crazy offer for Clay to think about leaving. He knows what he’s got here and changing to another team another system would bring too much uncertainty to him….IMO.
Now if the Pats, Broncos, Packers, or Seahawks offer him big money, then he may possibly bolt, but not to the Bills he won’t….lol
I will be Very Happy to see him signed here long term.. Love the Clay Maker !!
Son, so is it possible that you’ll be changing your name to a son of a son of a suhla? 🙂
Its like Clay to Buff, possible but not likely.
Oh I see Toba beat me to it. Damn!
Suh lly Tim ??
Very sad news! Such a beautiful promising young budding star….SMH!

Tragic — so young and an athlete. Have to assume it was some kinda condition like Len Bias had.
That’s very sad.
So if we do sign Suh, we ain’t drafting Shelton. Seems that would leave our choice at #14 as either a wideout or trade down.
Yeah that wouldn’t make much sense. Shelton is more of a space eating NT anyway, not a playmaking DT like a Suh. I’d look at Malcom Brown if we don’t sign Suh.
Brown would be a trade-down pick though, wouldn’t he?
If we sign Suh
Keep clay
Resign Delmas
And sign a vet OG
This is my draft
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 14: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia (A)
Round 2 Pick 15: Denzel Perryman, ILB/OLB, Miami (Fla.) (B-)
Round 3 Pick 14: Benardrick McKinney, ILB, Mississippi State (C)
Round 4 Pick 15: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon (A-)
Round 5 Pick 14: Geneo Grissom, OLB, Oklahoma (A-)
Round 6 Pick 15: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (D+)
Round 7 Pick 15: Cam Thomas, CB, Western Kentucky (D-)
I play mckinney at OLB
It’s basically WR and defense draft
That hits all the true needs. Not so sure about Delmas though. Even if we keep him would love to see a S in the third or fourth. Think we really only need one LB towards the top.
We need more than 1 LB
Unless you are four if on Jordan to play OLB
Or Misi and Tripp which is a hug mistake IMO
Stanger, I’ve seen Brown listed as high as #17 so it comes down to where we have him on our board.
In that case, I’d say signing Suh would take away our need to go DT that high.
Oh yeah, I said if we don’t sign Suh.
Sorry my bad……I started with if we do and brushed over that.
@mortreport: Ndamukong Suh will sign with #Dolphins on Tuesday based off parameters around $114 million and $60 million guaranteed, per sources.
Wow!
Right now I’m hoping the contract is for seven years. Cause at six that is $19 mil per year………but it could be absurdly backloaded even if off of six.
@DirtySuh: Miami Beach baby!
With the Suh signing and ff we trade down or not, we could always pick up DT Hardison in maybe the 4th round. I like several things about him.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12444126/ndamukong-suh-sign-6-year-114-million-deal-miami-dolphins
That’s a boatload of cash. Hoping the structure makes it seem less.
Well we all knew it would be. The Dolphins better start winning and making the playoffs.
I’m getting excited. My phone is blowing up. My friends, my nephew are all texting me about Suh. My best friend Scott understands. He said he’s an asshole, but he’s a great player. I said yup, but he’ll be MY asshole. lol
It’s weird with Suh. He’s a nice guy off the field but on it he turns into a nasty beast.
That’s exactly where you want that to happen, and exactly why he’s coming here. It’s unbelievable, I really never believed it for a second that it would happen. This is big. He should elevate our defense to a new level. Him, Wake, Vernon, Jordan, and now we need to draft a LB or 2, and a CB or 2, and and a S, and of course a big WR, and this team could be a legit contender, and no longer a pretender!
I’m happy for Sonny. He must be bumping into walls in his house with the wood he must be sporting over us getting Suh. lol
His new name is son of a son of a suhla. LOL
His new name might be “I broke my dick on the living room wall while I was in the kitchen”. lol
LOL!
Tim the scary part of that article was this;
“While Suh’s former team, the Detroit Lions, were among other teams making competitive proposals, the Dolphins’ parameters far exceeded the rest of the clubs interested in the defensive tackle.”
The far exceeded other clubs offers…WOW! But at least the Phins went and got their guy without letting anything get in their way.
Go Phins!
They said that’s what they were going to do. You’re either in or not. What’s the difference between $102M/55 guaranteed or $114/60 guaranteed at this point.
The Suh signing is like Xmas for Piggy…lol

Chorizo Show!!!
Miko Grimes is probably going to beat Brent tonight…LOL. Don’t be shocked if they request a trade.
Suh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well scratch DT off our list in the draft.
Also probably means we take a wideout in the first………..Suh to the Phins is another sign the oinking is coming.
Other than coming off the field for a breather or because he got nicked up, Suh will be on the field every down.
And never missed a game for anything other than suspension
I’m almost as happy as Piggy today.
Piggy, I wouldn’t worry about LB, I’m sure the signing of Suh doesn’t mean we’ll disregard that position. But it’s more likely we’ll draft one, maybe two and add a 2nd tier guy in FA.
Somewhere Belicheat is grumbling to himself and Giselle is holding a trembling Tom, stroking his hair and telling him it’ll be alright.
Perkins reports: “Dolphins defensive tackle Jared Odrick is expected to sign with Oakland for a deal in the range of $7 million a year, according to a NFL source.”
Sounds about what was expected. Now the Q is Starks.
Your score is: 5954 (GRADE: A)
Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 22 (PITT): DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville (A)
Round 2 Pick 15: Jalen Collins, CB, LSU (B+)
Round 2 Pick 24 (PITT): Clive Walford, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A-)
Round 3 Pick 14: Ali Marpet, OG, Hobart & William Smith (A)
Round 3 Pick 23 (PITT): Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson (C+)
Round 4 Pick 15: Grady Jarrett, DT, Clemson (A-)
Round 4 Pick 22 (PITT): Senquez Golson, CB, Ole Miss (C)
Round 5 Pick 14: Kurtis Drummond, FS, Michigan State (A)
Round 6 Pick 15: Tyler Varga, FB, Yale (A)
Round 7 Pick 15: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (B+)
I read that and think “Parker at #22?”……not that I blame you for snapping him up. At the same time seems WR for some reason always fall off projections.
There’s a lot of DT, DE, and OT talent in the first round that might push the WR’s back a bit. We’ll see, but it’s possible. There are also 4-6 WR’s that could go first RD, and Amari Cooper and Kevin White are likely the first 2 off the board.
glad to have him but setting the market is never a good idea
Every big time free agent who signs sets a new market. It always goes up.
how has that work out for Washington?
Chris Mortensen @mortreport
Suh also will get $60 million in first 3 years of 6-year contract, based on parameters set between #Dolphins and Suh’s agent, Jimmy Sexton.
————————-
Have to think that includes his signing bonus, or at least hoping it does. Also thinking Mort will be buying Jimmy Sexton the most expensive steak around sometime in the future.
Be careful down there Stanger there’s a SUHnami on its way!!!
LOL — can’t argue about the player. Feel justified in the sticker shock though. At the same time, seems a sign we will be going for it this year (and that matches up with Philbin’s hot seat).
That’s the thing, the team is trying to be good now, not in 1-2 more years. It’s time to compete for a championship.
It also makes our draft that much more important because we need to get impact from lower end contracts. That and our younger players already on the team have to step up.
My biggest fear when signing guys to big money is the season ending injury, nothing else. It happened to Albert last year and I remember being like oh no!!! Fingers, arms, toes, legs and eyes crossed. LOL
Yep — my guess is we’ll see less of the small school gems in April.
I had a feeling Odrick may go out West. He loves movies and I could see him getting into acting. He could play in those 300 type files as a badass. LOL
I like the Dline now especially if the young guys can stay healthy. I doubt we see Starks return although it won’t be me kicking him out the door. But even without him, Suh and Mitchell is formidable with Anthony Johnson and Francis for depth with Kamal Johnson in the mix as well.
