WHAT MAKE HULK ANGRY

incredible-hulk

By Dr. Bruce Banner

Rage!!!! Smash!!!! Slam!!!! Hulk no see Red. Hulk see green, miserable gang green. Hulk so angry he want to replace Jets toilet paper with sand paper. But Hulk should no be angry with miserable putrid Jets. Jets did nothing wrong except play football. Hulk angry with miserable putrid Dolphins. Miserable putrid Dolphins no show up in London, the same could be said about Washington, Jacksonville and Buffalo (well that was in Miami but you get point). Hulk angry that miserable putrid Dolphins have no anger like Hulk. Why should Hulk get angry when miserable putrid Dolphins show no anger? Show no emotion? Show they no care? Why should Hulk care? Hulk don’t know why but Hulk cares, Hulk cares so much it hurts! Why it no hurt for Suh? Why it no hurt for Tannehill? Why it no hurt for Misi? Why? Because miserable putrid Dolphins led by miserable putrid Joe Philbin who get more angry about a gum wrapper on the practice field than the piece of shit that Dolphins leave on playing field every week. Miserable putrid Dolphins take on personality of emotionless, stoic, rudderless and clueless head coach. Coach Joe may be nice guy but Hulk no care. Hulk want good football coach and now 4 years into Coach Joe era Hulk know we no have one.

Hulk angry that he has watch uninspired, flat football for the better part of the last 16 years but it has been especially flat in the Philbin years. Yes there was the Cam Cameron disaster but that only last one year. Yes Tony Sparano fist pumped the Dolphins through a period of mediocrity but at least he produced one of Hulk’s favorite seasons in 2008 when Dolphins were fun and exciting to watch with innovative wildcat offense. At least Sparano recognized after 2 games the need to change when things were wrong unlike coach Joe whose surgically inserted rod up his backside makes him unable to change even when everything go wrong. Sparano at least had fire and show emotion. Coach Joe so bad that Hulk longing for the innovative and exciting football mind of Tony Sparano. What has world come to?

Hulk angry that Dolphins become boring to watch. Hulk remember as young Hulkling watching Bob Griese throw deep to Paul Warfield and handing off to some guy named Zonk who run over everyone. Hulk remember how Dan Marino made every Sunday a must watch, how no matter how far behind Dan could and often did bring team back from impossible deficits. Hulk remember defense of Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Tim Bowens, Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain and how they could just stop an opposing offense cold. What Hulk got to watch now? Another failed 3rd and long conversion? Another 3rd and long conversion against our defense? A costly penalty at a crucial time? Hulk see this script too many times. Every team seen this script too many times. Every team know what we going to do. Every team no have respect for Phins and why should they when coach Joe just stand and stare from sideline looking like he is waiting for his constipation medicine to start working. The only problem is that it is coach Joe that needs to be flushed if this team and franchise is ever to become a winner again. Hulk done!

I hope it’s not Mcdaniels. He ruined the Broncos. The first thing he did was get rid of cutler and bring in tebow. Ask any Bronco fan what they think of mcdouche. I’d rather keep Campbell than bring mcdouche.

I also agree the problem is Ross. Yes he spends money. Yes he doesn’t get involved. But he picks the people that rnthis organization and in that department he’s batting zero.

I’d fire everyone and let Marino run the team. At least he bleeds Aqua and orange.

    Love
    the quote from Plato.
    Conundrum
    Free
people are not equal. Equal people are not free. (Think
this one over and over…makes sense!)
    The
definition of the word Conundrum is:
    something
    that is puzzling or confusing.
    Here
are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:
    1.
America is capitalist and greedy – yet half of the population is
    subsidized.
    2.
Half of the population is subsidized – yet they think they are
    victims.
    3.
They think they are victims – yet their representatives run the
    government.
    4.
Their representatives run the government – yet the poor keep getting
    poorer.
    5.
The poor keep getting poorer – yet they have things that people in other
    countries only dream about.
    6.
They have things that people in other countries only dream about – yet they want
America to be more like those other countries.
    Think
about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st
    Century. Makes
you wonder who is doing the math.
    These
three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current
    government and cultural environment:
    1.
We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we
are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few
    lunatics.
    Funny
how that works. And here’s another one worth
    considering…
    2.
Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of
    money.
    But
we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of
    money !
    What’s
interesting is the first group “worked for” their money, but the second
    didn’t.
    Think
about it…..and Last but not least :
    3.
Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and
cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but
we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal
    aliens.
    Am
I the only one missing something?
    “If
you do not take an interest in the affairs of your government, then you are
doomed to live under the rule of fools.” –
    Plato

Listened to someone discuss the Belichik coaching tree, and i have to agree with his conclusions. The “dynasty” he started in 2000 has created these branches: Romeo Crennel, Charlie Weis, Josh McDaniels, , Eric Mangini, Jim Schwartz, al Groh, Kirk Ferentz, Nick Saban, and front office people that have included Scott Pioli and Thomas Dimitroff. The only success has been found at the college level. I don’t think the Dolphins should be interested in pursuing any of these people for future employment consideration.

  5. olddolphan's avatar olddolphan says:

AM I RIGHT in assuming that the reason Campbell hasn’t replaced Coyle is because they have yet to find anyone who will take the job??? A friend told me last night Schwartz flatly turned down the job and is keeping his current job at NFL headquarters in New York. If these stories are TRUE (note I said IF) then the Miami situation is just too toxic and no GOOD coach wants any part of it. I REALLY HOPE THESE STORIES ARE FALSE and that Miami’s currently sifting through a list of candidates.

    • ocalarob's avatar ocalarob says:

The best DC would be an OL coach and get a big 225lbs+ RB and a FB and make Tanny start from under center until circumstances dictate otherwise.

I don’t care what DC you bring in if he has to leave his Defense on the field for 40 mins of a 60 min game he’s gonna suck.

      RUN THE DAMN BALL!

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

A lot of reporters have reported that Schwartz was contacted and declined
At this point it I think we can assume its true

I would not get carried away with this OD
I think most people understand that interim coaches are temporary, including prospective candidates

its not an ideal job for anyone established
Realistically, if we want to hire a new OC or DC to work under an interim coach it will need to be some one who is looking for a shot and is not ordinarily given a shot

This is the situation you have no ability to avoid if you fire a coach in midseason

I don’t think anyone who advocated firing Philbin should be surprised by this
Letting a coach go midseason simply has a lot of cons to it

There are plenty of Dolfans who wanted to fire Ireland, got it, moved on to waitng to fire Philbin got it, and now need something new to complain about. I arbitrarily started with Ireland. This mentality has been there since Shula was forced into retirement in favor of Jimmy Johnson

I think both people (Philbin and Ireland) mentioned above earned their releases
but the lack of understanding that these moves have consequences that have to be dealt with is shocking

A lot of fan spends all their energy into venting
      I really don;t get it
Who can we be mad at now?

Of course the situation is toxic
firing some one does not fix everything
its ends one particular problem if you identify that person as a problem

“..its ends one particular problem..” And brings in a whole new set. You’re right Piggy- toxic.

    ************
I mean you have to weigh which is worse and make a decision
I do think keeping Philbin was just a bad idea in spite of the problems it creates

So I am okay with it

I tend to think watching games on Sunday will be a little better if the team is just more competitive and not so finesse

So far this year we’ve been manhandled throughout the game – basically the least physical team in the NFL

its a bit unbearable to watch
and once you lose 2 division homes games against the “lesser” AFC East teams – its very hard to make the postseason
So I ended up wanting philbin gone too

but I thought about what it means next

I forget that not everyone thinks about the problems before they waive banners to fire some one

and now there is a frenzy to state the obvious and another example of a bad organization…which its not…its inevitable when you make moves like that

    • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

Understood- though I’m going to say I’ve felt there exists a fundamental flaw in the organization that is causing these issues and Jahn has said has been (tacitly) confirmed by Gannon, or at least eluded to. I don’t think it is Ross in-and-of-himself- The guy did not become a billionaire by not knowing how to conduct business- but something with the structure he has in place that does not seem to work best in an NFL environment.

  12. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Listened to Jason Taylor on NFL Radio this morning. Very interesting take on things in Miami. He thinks Ross has too many people advising him from the outside. He likes Ross needs to eliminate the outside influences. He seemed to like Tannehill and feels he is not the problem. He thinks Philbin did not do enough to allow leaders to emerge amongst the players. He used the phrase empowering leaders and that is what the coaches should do.

Taylor also said that his former hostess would be helpful in the FO because she would get rid of all the pussies on the team.

  13. Ken's avatar Ken says:

Philbin had to go. The very fact that he was defending Coyle to the end is all the proof we need of how clueless Philbin was. Is going to make anything better this year? Probably not significantly but change was necessary.

  14. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Ken

  16. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Hickey really is just the personnel guy. I knew the guy had no power by the way the search was conducted, and the fact that Joe Philbin had to approve the GM. If the GM was to be in charge of everything, like some hierarchies are structured, that wouldn’t have been the case.

The Miami Dolphins have hired former NFL coach Al Saunders as a senior offensive assistant, the team announced Wednesday.

Saunders previously worked with Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor in Washington, and hopes to jump-start an offense that is one of the least productive in the year.

His hiring was just part of an offensive shake-up.

Ben Johnson, who served as Miami’s assistant quarterbacks coach since 2013, takes over for interim coach Dan Campbell as the tight ends coach. Ken O’Keefe, formerly the wide receivers coach, will serve as senior offensive assistant. Mike Wahle, previously a sports performance assistant, will assist Johnson.

The Dolphins are also looking to bring in help on defense.

Embattled coordinator Kevin Coyle remains on the job, but former NFL head coaches Jim Schwartz, Mike Smith and Greg Schiano have been discussed, according to NFL Network.

Shame on me for trying to be AN OPTIMIST!! –Had Ross fired Philbin after his 6-10 season we wouldn’t be facing this.–Had Ross fired Philbin after last season we wouldn’t be facing this! –The problem is NOT those who wanted to terminate Sparano, Ireland and Philbin. The problem is ROSS, who should have fired both Sparano and Philbin at THE END OF THEIR RESPECTIVE LAST FULL SEASONS rather than firing them DURING their LAST PARTIAL SEASONS!! But ROSS just can’t get it right, even with the SECOND FIRING!!

I was very happy during most of the ’70’s, ’80’s and ’90’s when Miami regularly competed for, and played in THE PLAYOFFS!!! And when Jimmy Johnson and Dave Wannstedt led us to playoff wins, I was happy and said so. — If you don’t believe it, re-read “Absolute Perfection” and “Following Perfection.” I try to ONLY complain when I feel my favorite franchise is letting us down.

Campbell on what he was thinking before first practice as coach: Did I eat? (Hectic times)

  50. Remember when everyone was so pumped cause Philbin said he wanted a “fast” tempo and for us to run about 70 plays a game? That never happened. If any of you watched the team practice while Philbin was HC, you would have seen no energy, no yelling, guys moving like robots, and even more puzzling he would have 3 QB’s playing at the same time; 1st team on one side of the field, 2nd on the other and 3rd on the far side, then would rotate. This was a horribly coached team by a guy who may have been “nice:” but obviously did not know what he was doing. The team took n the personality (or lack thereof) of their coach. Dan Campbell is an improvement already.

  53. I don’t get where you guys all of a sudden dismiss the total b.s. this organization has become, the crazy amount of blunders by our owner, former GM, players, etc. Ross essentially wasted the first 4 games of the season letting Philbin stay on as HC. He had the personality and look of a mummy, and the team played like that. Steve Ross is a horrible owner, I don’t give a rat’s ass about the stadium which I will always call Joe Robbie, because unlike Steve Ross, Mr. Robbie paid for that stadium with his own damn money and was nowhere near as wealthy as Steve Ross. He fucked up the logo to a whale looking thing because of the team’s ties to Sea World. He got rid of the orange in the stadium and it now looks like Jacksonville (puke) south. Is Ross cheap? No, he spends a lot of money and no one would say otherwise. Is he a decent or good NFL owner? Hell to the fucking no. Have a great day. Go Dan Campbell.

Still think Lazor is gone too. Saunders being brought in i think is a transnational step. Promoting the LB coach to DC wont completely upend the defense. Promoting some of the Offensive position coaches to run the O would be a harder thing to do mid season. Saunders however, if allowed to influence the playbook,/play calling could eventually install his system and familiarize the players ith it and eventually push Lazor out. We will know what level of influence he has pretty soon as im sure the offense will start to look remarkably different and im not just talking about success or failures.

    ****
I favored firing all of those guys
that isn’t what I am saying

I’m am saying some people just need to complain ad nauseam
    its not directed at you
    Don’t take it personal
its not even exclusive to this site
it all over most social media

To you – I said don;t get carried away with this (not hiring a vet coordinator like schwartz) – that’s the only part directed at you
No need to read into it and say what you think I am saying, you completely missed the mark

The substance of the post discusses the challenges if you fire a head coach midseason and that we should expect that if we decide to do it. I later posted, in response to some one that read the post, that I favored firing Philbin even given the obstacles it creates. So I obvious agreed with it

read it gain if you like

Its not about agreeing to fire Ireland, Philbin and Sporano which is probably about 90% of fans by the time each of those things happen, its about the naive idea that firing the next guy solves all your problems

I avoid all arguments about what makes people a better fan or not – I think its silly to debate.

but the zeal some people get about dwelling on the negative (again not directed at you), particularly the media, is distasteful to me. And I do think it ruins the fan experience for other people

Besides, none of these owners actually get on the field and make plays or throw flags that changes games….that’s all someone else’s job and sometimes those are things you have no control over after the fact.

I stand behind Ross’s latest move to rid Philbin uncharacteristically very early in the season. This is to give a chance not to Philbin, but the the team, to the fans, with 12 games left.

I am sad as a fan on the way things have been going for the Dolphins for many seasons…..the key thing is…it is as a fan.

I am actually tired of focusing on the past, and that includes the “glory days”, because except for being able to speak proudly of those days as a fan, they mean nothing now. Times, players, coaches, owners, rules and the game have all changed.

When I sit down to watch a game on Sunday, I have tried to go back to just enjoying each play as it occurs. As a fan I may criticize a play or performance, but I have no control over play calling, game planning, or what the owner is thinking on those days. Quite honestly, I no longer care…..I just want the team to win, and do not care how they do it, or how much money it cost to do it.

There are many teams that have went a long time between glory years…..in fact almost all teams have had a medium-long stretch of mediocre or losing seasons….some worse or better than others.

This is just my personal perspective…not intended to be a comment on others’. I had just found myself in recent years not enjoying the games as much because I was over analyzing everything and everybody, now I am just trying to enjoy the games like a kid again, sometimes in ignorance of what the actual strategies are supposed to be. I find myself enjoying the games with fans of other teams at the sports bar much more…win or lose…but I could not imagine the joy of a SB win, which I hope will happen…I will just take it one game at a time…..as a fan…..I will let the running of the organization and team be up to those getting paid to do it…..I have no control over that….and worrying about it detracts from my pleasure as a diehard fan.
