Game Wrap Up: Cowboys @ Dolphins

Well the Dolphin offense put up a whopping 210 yards and gave up a TD by throwing an interception to Rolando McClain deep in their own territory.
So you can guess the result on Sunday.
Lamar Miller averaged over 6 yards on the ground on Sunday. So it only makes sense that he finished the game with 7 carries. Looks like the Philbin gameplan will linger with the 2015 Dolphins.

The Dolphins had a shot after Jordan Cameron caught a TD right before the half.
Then Stills caught a TD to tie it at 14 points.
But at the end of the day the Cowboy made plays late and the Dolphins did not.
The Cowboys won 24-14

Piggy, here is the thing. Let’s take the science project. If my child was working on a project, I would see it, I would know about it. If It looked like a bomb, or a gun, or something that is not allowed, I would be calling the school, the teacher, and probably going to school with them to make sure there is no misunderstanding. And the students know what is allowed as well. It’s covered at the beginning of every school year. You have to fill out forms and sign, both the child and the parent, that you understand the school handbook. I can’t imagine it’s all that different anywhere else than it is where I live.
bad judgment on the part of the parent for not thinking about that
but you can’t plan the bad judgment by the school
you can’t rely on that
in fact, and its been a while since I read the story, but as i recall there were a lot of intervening points where it almost didn’t come to an arrest
I think focusing on the mistakes they make and jumping to the conclusion that it was therefore planned – is just too hard for me to believe
it really doesn’t matter if he was not supposed to do it
the reaction is what lead to the ordeal/lawsuit
and I don’t think that is so easily manipulated
much less by child
The science teacher already warned the kid to not show that to anyone else, good job, but it looks suspicious. The kid didn’t obey that teacher and pulled it out in another class and that teacher freaked.
4 Mistakes were made.
1. The parents were ignorant.
2. The first teacher should have taken it from him and reported it and explained it to the principle/faculty to give a heads up but he/she didn’t.
3. The kid didn’t obey the teacher.
4. The second teacher who saw it overreacted as did the school cop.
Yeah okay, make this family rich with taxpayer money. The kid’s going to study abroad in Yemen or something. Go study and STFU!!!
3rd & 7 Brady intercepted by Rambo.
Oops, refs give it back to Marsha.
Piggy, I said this earlier.

I never said they planned it, just that the scholl handled it wrong. Really, sue? $15M? Come on, man.
How about a subscription to the jelly of the month club in good faith. LOL
Free bacon & lard for a year. LOL
Seems you went to the same scholl as me. 😉
One has nothing to do with the other though
I don’t know where that number comes from
but I knew there would be a lawsuit
I still don’t believe the child and family planned to manufacter one
I’m going by what FFR posted. What does one has nothing to do with the other mean? He doesn’t deserve to become wealthy because of it. I mean that’s completely asinine. Has his life been hampered, no, he’s gotten more opportunities from it.
Rock,
Sorry, but I’m typically topless when I’m watching games. I’ve always told myself people avoid being around me during games because I’m so intense, but one never really knows. Otherwise I’d be all over that jersey. Lol
It was outside the range you stated….$1-200…so I thought you might go for it.
has anyone noticed that burger king doesn’t call their nuggets “Chicken Nuggets” anymore. They are 10 for $1.49 nuggets or “golden nuggets”…….where is the chicken? They do not say “chicken” once in that commercial.
Random thoughts by Rockphin^^
but are there bombs in them? That’s what we want to know!
Yes, chemical bombs of toxic ingredients & artificial flavors.
‘its hard to get that result’
well, it is hard for you to get it. not others. like herd just said i am sure they knew what they could and couldnt take to school.
and this wasnt a science project. this was not a school project. he built this on his own and took it to school to show it off to some teacher.
herd
Yep, different time…different world. I’m not so sure it’s a better world though. It seems like fear rules our lives. But, I know I’m sounding like the old man on his porch again. I’m gonna go back to ripping Tannehill and watch while you get blamed! Lol
Piggy:
Bad judgement by the parents? It’s working out pretty well for them. You can’t tell me with all that has happened in schools with shootings that it wouldn’t be expected that the police would be called over something that looked like a bomb.
What’s it called in legal terminology? Contributory negligence?
it would be contributory negligence
but it might be a means to mitigate the damages somehow
Everything I read showed that most of the teachers knew and understood it was not a bomb
read tim’s post above (8:51) that’s a pretty good recap of the facts
If you know its not a weapon, I’m not sure why the police are being called
and even if they are called, if they identify its not a threat, then they probably won’t arrest anyone
a lot of adults defiantely overreacted on this one
brady may get hurt if this continues. He got some hits 3-4 times in 1st series
Well then, the week might not be a total waste after all. lol
And BTW I deal with manufactured cases all the time in my job
I am fully aware it happens
and I have to respond to it
but these facts are so dependent on the way the school reacted
at the end of the day, even if the parent and kid hoped for that reaction (which I find hard to believe) that reaction still happened
and if you think that’s okay – then fine, you are entitled to your opinion
but the gifts and the pres invite – that’s b/c of that reaction
not bc some one thought it might occur or planned it to occur
that response is from people that don’t like that the kid was arrested for making that clock
it doesn’t matter how much mudslinging you do about the intent (which is what this is IMO)
its still not something many people want to see happen in a school
it really doesn’t matter if they planned it (which sounds cuckoo to me – but whatever)
its the result that got under some people’s skin (and others not so much)
piggy, I’m really not trying to pick on you. But it’s more a thing with it being at a school. Security is a big deal. Used to be, I could just go to my kids school, walk in the door. Now, I have to stand outside, press the button, wait for them to see me on the camera and unlock the door.
Anyone who thought there wouldn’t be a reaction, police called, the whole thing….that is crazy with things the way they are. And if the police are called to a school for a bomb threat, it makes the news. From there, well, you see what happened. 20 years ago I would have agreed with you. It would have been far fetched. Not today.
That’s sad. My daughter went through that in HS when we moved to a new town. She had the freedom to leave in one town as a freshman and then had to have a badge and couldn’t leave the grounds until she was a senior.
When I was in grammar school even the early grades, I walked home for lunch and after school with friends or alone. I didn’t live far away, close actually but look at where we are now.
Do you have to show that you’ve been harmed in some way to win a lawsuit? No, I’m seriously asking because I have no idea. In this case, how was the boy harmed? Or does that not even matter because someone(the school district?) will just cave to media pressure and pay them? Is it enough to just have your feelings hurt? Was he slapped around when they arrested him?
damages are a component to every lawsuit
you can argue mental anguish or something that you can’t see
or damage to his reputation
but if its not bodily harm
I think its a lot less $$$
think about things like sexual harassment
there might not be any damage that some one can see
but we put a # on it in courts to stop it from happening
He’s muslim, so of course he was wronged. Even the muslim in chief said so.
‘its the result that got under some people’s skin (and others not so much)’
yep and some people thing roosevelt knew about pearl harbor before it happened, the cia killed kennedy, the moon landings were fake and bush blew up the WTC’s. there is no accounting of what the american public will do. hell, britney spears is a ‘singing’ star
the moon landings were faked by Stanley Kubrick…lol

I’m not sure it will play out that way when its said and done
but in many lawsuits, the damages some one wins are more about stopping it from occurring again, rather than what the victim actually deserves
If he won and donated it all to charity would you feel differently?
Depends on the charity….the money could go to funding more jihad. 😉
I meant something respectable like “liberals for the outlaw of offense in any manner”
😀
LOL, ok sounds great…. 🙂
No, we all pay for these kids to go to these schools even when our kids aren’t in them anymore. I get that and accept that. But to now look for a massive payout for that situation, fuck you! Grow some balls. I bet he’s an arrogant little dickweed too. But we can’t say that because those kids don’t exist. LOL
piggy,
i am sure that girl in SC that sat i here chair and refused to obey the teacher, then vice principle and then the resource officer did it to be purely Innocent too. i doubt what so ever she was looking for a pay day.
what are you referring to in SC?

if reason is removed from schools so that something like this has to lead to the arrest of the kid – then that should change and the lawsuit should happen
At some point no adult use their judgment and said “why are we arresting him”

Ryan is on his game tonight. Brady is even dropping further back and he is stiill throwing off his back foot with pressure getting to him.
hell, britney spears is a ‘singing’ star
and the Cardashians are famous for some reason…Paris Hilton…
If he won and donated it all to charity would you feel differently?
no, it is still tax dollars paid and spent not spent on the intended purpose.
i know you asked tim that. but i would be happy if nothing at all came about it. the incident was handled the way it should have been, so nothing needs to be made about it
I’m not sure if insurance covers it at the end of the day or if its even something that can be insured
what if the charity was the dept of treasury of the US
that way the IRS gets to tax the payout
them they get all the money back, so the taxpayer profits….lol
my point is that if you remove the $$$ from it, is it a controlling factor as to whether you think its right or wrong as to what the school did
I’m find with what the school did. I’d be raising hell if they didn’t call the police.
You guys are seeing how much pressure both these QBs are under and all the shotgun, right? Just checking….
Good thing they don’t drop back too far.
i love the way ryan blitzes where a player is only responsible for occupying a blocker and another guy gets to kill the qb
At some point no adult use their judgment and said “why are we arresting him”
so now, they should not be prudent. dont arrest anyone, lets just arrest him if it blows up
Wasn’t like arrested and thrown into the SHU.
Was more like detained until they could investigate a lil further to get to the bottom of the faux clock suitcase bomb.
I have a feeling between blowing up and arresting somebody there are about 1000 other outcomes that might occur
piggy,
Thanks! Hey, my daughter, a HS senior, wants to be a lawyer…some sort of business law she says. I slapped her, of course. Hey wait a minute, I just realized, she doesn’t like bacon either. Where exactly were you around April of 1997?

well I think that is where reasonable minds differ in opinions
but that doesn’t not = to me that it was a set up
and I think people want to believe that b/c they feel the same way – buts its really hard to believe IMO
You have to expect a lot of missteps by the people around you to get that kind of result
You can’t apply reason to this. It is unreasonable to think that schools have to be fortresses today, but they are. I volunteered at my son’s school last year, and we had active shooter drills. That is unreasonable. But it’s also reality and it’s necessary. So if someone who broke the rules gets upset over the consequences of breaking the rules, oh well…lesson learned.
You go to school to learn right? 😉
That may be the result of the lawsuit at the end of the day
But does that mean they set it up?
Its the idea that they set up the reaction that I have been talking about most of the might
And my point is, you can’t expect to not have a reaction to it.
I don’t think they set it up, but they went douche and are now trying to profit from it without even thinking about who it affects. I lost respect for all of them. i despise shit like this. How dare you?
Buffalo 21 total plays 11 rushes. Score tied 3-3.
‘my point is that if you remove the $$$ from it, is it a controlling factor as to whether you think its right or wrong as to what the school did’
well no. not for me. it has nothing to do with the $$$$. i posted it the day it happened and i said from the start that it was all bs. all a set up and pre-planned. that the kid was wrong and he was the person responsible for what happened to him. that, he or his family knew from the start what was going to happen. you can judge all you want, but i said that the day i saw the story in the media. i was told then how wrong i was, yet wow, magically now there is a 15mil lawsuit.
even if it weren’t a set up
there might “magically” be a lawsuit
sometimes lawsuits are actually a reaction to something that wasn’t planned right?

Then next time a kid brings in a similar project that a same complacency overlooks, a real planted bomb that kills & maimes several children…then ya have a big justifiable lawsuit on your hands.

that sounds a little farfetched to me
but that’s my opinion
It just doesn’t seem to be a set up to me
maybe overblown
maybe not such a big deal
maybe not worthy of a lawsuit
but not some sort of set up
You can’t say overblown anymore, that is offensive to the muslim community suggesting a bomb reference.
If it were an innocent thing. Say my kid takes something to school, unthinking, and it causes a big deal like this. I’d be like OMG I am so sorry, I totally forgot to realize I was sending him to school with a fake bomb. I wouldn’t be suing anyone. I’d be apologizing for being an idiot.
‘sometimes lawsuits are actually a reaction to something that wasn’t planned right?’
so is that what this is? some kind of defense of being able to sue. yeah i know sometimes lawsuits are necessary.
come on man – I am clearly objecting to your conclusion that it was planned by the parents
it has nothing to do with lawsuits as a whole
you jumping to that conclusion is almost as bad as jumping to the conclusion that it was planned by the parents

some one can sue as a reaction to something that was unplanned

If “Clock Boy” had been a white child and the other circumstances were exactly the same does anyone think there would have been such an uproar? On the contrary, the school officials would probably be praised for their vigilance in protecting the other children. …And Obonehead would most certainly not have invited him anywhere near the White House. Just another case of PC run amok and cynical dirt bags trying to cash in.

running the ball creates more time for qb when passing, who would have think that way

so then if a southern all american dad allows his kid to go to school in an all white long t shirt to the ground and a white cap in a basically black school nothing is wrong wih that, we dont want to racially profile anyone.
If the kid is not allowed to wear white bc he’s white

i totally agree with you there bat. but this bs of racial profiling is that, just bs. it has been around for ever, it isnt something new. we all do it every day in life.
Wow, Tom Brady just threw a pass we could all make for a TD. Now some new no-name RB White does what Lewis or Vereen or Woodhead did. LOL
The Pats have had a system in place for 12 years with the same QB. That’s the difference.
pretty sure that was missed assignment
It happens all the time. Short dump off by Brady, guy breaks a tackle and makes the play a TD. He lives a charmed life.
was ryran bad or what. someone missed assignment
piggy,
you took my comment about wearing white to school wrong. i dont care about a lawsuit.. hell i would be saying the same shit if a kid did that and got in trouble then tried to sue. i meant it as racial profiling. that kid would be taken out of class and sent home to change.
But not arrested for inciting a riot…lol
Randy … Tannehill would have either stood paralyzed with his feet in cement and got blasted or backpedaled while waving the ball around to get stripped.
don’t think ryran will go only with 3 man rushes anymore.
The reality is that racial profiling exists, and we all do it daily. Blacks, Whites, Yellows, Browns, Egg shells, Ivorys, Olives….did I forget any shade? Chartreuse? It’s called Life.
You have to check a box right? We don’t even comprehend our own bigotry in many forms of daily life. It’s quite pathetic.
Guys
Most of tonight’s conversation was about whether it was a set up by the parents or not
Not whether the school acted correctly
I can’t argue with every wrong you guys think is out there
I the started when I questioned why it was called a farce
The school shouldn’t have to do things politically correct or right, they have to protect the kids, they called the police, so to me they did what they had to do. I haven’t read the entire story, but from what I’ve put together that’s the way I believe it went down, if I’ve missed something, then Rosanrosannadana me 😉

jetssuck,
At least Rex might wanna bring the blitz from Brady’s left side….can’t blitz Brady in his face, but I’m guessing somebody didn’t rotate properly on the back side.
mixing it up.I have not seen the 11 man front yet.maybe he’ doesn’t have sure tacklers
rob …lol ..No, in the end zone he’d be chasing the football that was snapped over his head or bounced between his legs …
Piggy, I thought it was about how outrageous it is for the family to sue for $15M.

Well hey, all I need is for Brandon LaFell to get 40 points in the second half to beat Home.
Reply
I beat his ass by starting Tanny….LMAO!

———————————–
And any person with morals would feel the same way. Which is basically the same thing FFR is saying, and why he things the lawsuit was planned, but planned or not it doesn’t matter, it’s somebody trying to get something for nothing.
Whoa now! I never said I had morals. lol

@OmarKelly Yes, but consider Omar, he’s working with someone else’s tools. He can only do so much with what he has.
Omar Kelly ✔ @OmarKelly
That is BS…a good coach can take over a team & transform it in a month. Campbell has been here longer than Philbin.

WOW, just WOW!

This whole conversation is stupid, Campbell was thrown into the fire, never been even a coordinator and Omar talks about if he was a good coach. Even Belilcheat lost in Clev, so by his logic Belilcheat should’ve been labeled not a good coach. Just because he isn’t biting as a pup doesn’t mean he won’t be a good coach.
With that said I don’t think Campbell has what it takes to be a good HC, he just isn’t smart enough.
fuck, that is total bs.
piggy,
can i hire you. i have been attacked . i feel like i was profiled cause i own a sofa. bat just responded to randys comment by the salutation ‘rob’. clearly he was meaning randy now i dont know if i need to buy a bucket and start saying how bad tanny sucks and is the reason for evil in this world
Great deep drop deep pass by Brady. 😉
I like the talk about going to a 3-4, saying our personnel fits it better. Phillips in the middle, Suh and Mitchell on the outside, OV and Cam as outside LBers, with Misi inside. We’d still need to take an inside LBer in the 1st pick #2 of the first round 😉

These two paragraphs sum up the Dolphins last 15 years. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/armando-salguero/article45953735.html …

and wtf steve, dont drag me into some comment with morals. i clearly deserve better
‘This whole conversation is stupid, Campbell was thrown into the fire, never been even a coordinator and Omar talks about if he was a good coach.’
nope, trolly talked about it to get people to respond to his post. omar wins
Randy …LOL ..sorry I confused you with rob … I realize how traumatic that might be for you..
I’d like to see the refs keep their flags in their pockets on 3rd down, unless it can’t be avoided. Too many times teams like the cheats, Packers, both Nyers, and Dallas yesterday get these BS calls on 3rd down to keep drives alive.
Steve … Subjective penalties and confusing rules open to interpretation are key components in the NFL’s ability to manipulate outcomes. That’s not going away anytime soon.
I understand that, just wishful thinking. I think the NFL was taking a page out of the NBA’s book tonight by not showing controversial plays. First half Buff. gets a first down on 3rd and 4, only to be called back by illegal formation with the RT too far off the LOS, I see that all the time and not called, why call it there? The catch by LaFell that was reviewed they didn’t show the ball after he rolled over, they showed it initially before anyone had a chance to really see what was going on. I haven’t seen replays show so little in a long time.

Wh is it folks wanna change to a 3-4?
We don’t care!
It’s all up to the new coach that we don;t have a clew who that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So we explore the options!
Just my 2 pennies
because our LBs suck, and only Misi is serviceable, maybe Hull, Jenkins is meh.

It’s almost liked they pre planned it that way….like a kid making a ‘clock’ that looks like a bomb and taking it to school….who would ever think that would work? lol
I think it’s preplanned, but I’m a little perplexed with why the Pittsburgh officiating crew is giving the cheats calls tonight. The biggest no call was on the Hogie long pass, that was textbook PI, the CB didn’t look back, faceguarded, and the ball hit him in the back. The idiot Tirico says because it hit him in the back it wasn’t PI, Gruden agreed, or maybe he should’ve said because it hit him in the back it was PI.
Randy …LOL ..The one thing that binds the three of us is our fierce and undying hatred for the “reply” …
Hey, this Tyrod Taylor QB is just the kind that beats us….one with a pulse. Had to get that in before herd said it.
OK ..I’m out ..Good Night All…
