What Make Hulk Angry?

incredible-hulk

By Dr. Bruce Banner

So Hulk watch Phins finally beat dreaded Ravens from Baltimore. This is a team that has cursed Phins for long time with painful losses in playoffs and regular season. Hulk watch the hated Matt Schaub who beat Phins five teams as starting quarterback of Texans and never lose to Phins. Hulk watch Schaub get tossed around like ragdoll and throw ball into defenders hands. Hulk watch young WR with bad foot finally play and make impact on game with 2 crucial catches including big touchdown catch. Hulk watch defense make crucial plays with game on the line. So you think Hulk would be happy? Wrong!

Hulk was feeling happy for a brief moment, then he come here and he see who was complaining about scoring only 15 points, who was complaining that our quarterback was no good. Who was complaining that our offensive line is what let down quarterback. Hulk say okay I see same old debates even with win. It start to make Hulk feel angry that we can no even enjoy hard fought win against a team that has caused us much pain. But even this no make Hulk that angry. What make Hulk angry was when he read that win was no good because it means we move down in draft order. Hulk get angry when he sees fan who wants us to lose just so we get first pick.

Hulk not always good in reason but this how Hulk figures things. Hulk no want to be drafting at number 1. Hulk wants Phins to draft at number 32. So any game that gets Phins closer to 32 better than any game that gets Phins closer to number 1. Trying to lose games to get draft position is something that talking heads like Blowmar like to go off about. Fans should never root for team to lose. When Hulk watch game he feels anger rise up within him when he see team in danger of losing. Hulk gets that way because he has fire for team to win. It doesn’t matter if it is only for one game Hulk feel it better to win that game than lose it. Hulk would want heads of anyone in organization who is actively trying to lose game to gain draft choice. There is no room for that in professional sports. Even Hulk know that. So what would make Hulk happy? If this team can go on a 5 game run and win some games, finish strong with momentum and then we really have something to build on. What would make Hulk angry? Anyone saying we should lose just to get better draft pick. Hulk Smash!

Here is something else that makes Hulk angry:

It is nice, as ‘toba pointed out the other day, that we got the Texans, Fest and Ravens monkey off our back so those are good things.

TERRIFIC STUFF, Dr. BANNER!!! – – Losing for a higher draft pick MAKES NO SENSE when a proven loser like TANNENBAUM has veto power over Hickey’s selections!! So let’s just win as many games as we can and let the draft sort things out later. Besides, I’m hoping against hope that CAMPBELL can somehow finish the year on a winning streak and EARN the right to be Head Coach of the Dolphins. He’s CERTAINLY GOING TO BE BETTER THAN ANYBODY ROSS & T-BAUM SELECT FROM A LIST OF CANDIDATES, unless the author of that list is BILL POLIAN!

Nice article Hulk! I’m not sure anyone here is really pining for a better draft pick by losing, (it’s possible though).

Here’s how I feel about winning games now. It don’t mean squat. I’d like to get closer to picking 32nd also, but how about winning games when they count, BEFORE we’re eliminated from playoff contention? How bout that boys? Winning now makes the game more fun to watch, but doesn’t really mean a whole lot, and winning ugly doesn’t even make the game fun to watch. That’s how I feel, and I’m not telling anyone else to feel this way, it’s just me.

Regarding Chipotle talk around here, there is currently an Ecoli outbreak in the US affecting multiple companies that includes Starbucks, Costco, and also Chipotle.

Ecoli was found in a Rotisseri Chicken Salad product that Costco sells. I believe it was determined that ‘celery’ from one of their suppliers was contaminated and Starbucks soon after recalled their Holiday Turkey Panini which contained ingredients sourced from the same farm company where Costco’s ‘celery’ was coming from. I don’t think anyone has actually been sickened by Starbucks products though (I haven’t read anything on it).

At least 72 employees at the Department of Homeland Security are listed on the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to a Democratic lawmaker.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D., Mass.) disclosed that a congressional investigation recently found that at least 72 people working at DHS also “were on the terrorist watch list.”

“Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector general did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security,” Lynch told Boston Public Radio.

DHS continues to fail inspections aimed at determining the efficiency of its internal safety mechanisms, as well as its efforts to protect the nation.

Lynch referred to a recent report that found the Transportation Security Administration, which is overseen by DHS, failed to stop 95 percent of those who attempted to bring restricted items past airport security.

“We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate,” Lynch said. “We had folks—this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate.”

Lynch said he has “very low confidence” in DHS based on its many failures over the years. For this reason, he voted in favor of recent legislation that will tighten the vetting process for any Syrian refugees applying for asylum in the United States.

“I have very low confidence based on empirical data that we’ve got on the Department of Homeland Security. I think we desperately need another set of eyeballs looking at the vetting process,” he said. “That’s vetting that’s being done at major airports where we have a stationary person coming through a facility, and we’re failing 95 percent of the time.”

“I have even lower confidence that they can conduct the vetting process in places like Jordan, or Belize or on the Syrian border, or in Cairo, or Beirut in any better fashion, especially given the huge volume of applicants we’ve had seeking refugee status,” Lynch said.

Odds Shark prediction models pick the Dolphins to win this game on Monday 26-24.

Offensively, the game matches up the Miami Dolphins No. 27-ranked offense (20 PPG) against a New York Giants defense that ranks No. 22 at 24.67 PPG. The Dolphins passing attack has averaged 230.83 yards per game, less than the Giants give up through the air (315.17 YPG on average).

Defensively, the New York Giants feature the league’s No. 13-rated road run defense, allowing 105.67 yards per game. The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, ranks No. 11 in rushing offense at home.

  49. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

i dont see the problem with wanting them to lose to get a higher draft position. it isnt like they are in a playoff run or anything. and it is wanting them to obtain higher quality players. it is after all the basis of the draft. for the teams with the worst record to pick first and have a shot at the ‘best’ talent. to me, wanting them to win meaningless games is just being selfish and wanting a win just to make yourself feel good, when in theory it is hurting the team. if you really want to see them drafting 32nd, then in seasons like this you should hope they can obtain the best talent in the draft.

ok, now everyone can say how the draft is a crap shoot and how you should be able to get talent any where in the draft and ignore the part where i said ‘in theory’ and how it is the basis of the draft. oh yeah, and dont forget the part of tanny sucks too

Boulder — if Chipotle is having that many problems there should be some lawyers getting a class action together against them as we speak. Might be worth your while to find them.

First they would be able to figure out if others got sick from the store you went too (or same food supplier there) around the same period, which would make for a solid case. Even if not, you’d probably get something (even if not the amount in the headlines) when it comes time that corporate wants to just get the whole thing out of the papers.

    • getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

I’d think the suit would be targeting the supplier, not the unaware retailer unless they tainted the meat once they received it, but supposedly there are other retailers that had the same issue from the same supply farm.
      Tighten up there JD. 😉

      • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Chipotle will still be a party in the suit and be there through months of litigation unless there is a settlement unless there is a settlement, which is always what most likely happens. And Chipotle is responsible for making their customers sick. They may be able to countersue the supplier, but they are still on the hook unless they absolutely could not have known.

And key thing is that Chipotle will be the ones with the greatest reason to get it out of the press.

I agree about Chipotle wanting to get it out of the press asap.
I remember a lot of people a few years back became very ill, some died I think, from e-coli on spinach leaves that was sold in several grocery stores in several states.
The culprit was immigrant farm workers not properly washing there hands after going to the bathroom and then handling the leaves & packaging them for resale. The farm where they were processed was sued.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

I’m sure the farm worker, the farm he worked for, the distributor that bought from them were all on the hook. But in a situation the lawyers look to the “deep pockets.” In this case that means Chipotle. That means that company gets double teamed by the plaintiffs’ lawyers looking for a big pay day and the supplier looking for the company to pay out as much as possible out of what is ultimately due.

Chipotle will still be a party in the suit and be there through months of litigation unless there is a settlement unless there is a settlement, which is always what most likely happens.

what the hell. i mean i feel sorry for boulder, but he got sick. but it was for one night, it wasnt like he was permanently hurt. this is just part of the problem with this country. hey, i sneezed in a publix once. i am going to sue them.

    • stangerx's avatar stangerx says:

Maybe he decides not too. But if I learned that a dozen other people got sick at the same place on a given night as I did…..yeah I’d join in. Whether to get in the mix of a bigger class action to just to be part of “the nuisance” in the mix…..that would be up to him. Pretty sure the lawyers would be interested in his story though.

i think you missed my entire point. the point is there shouldnt be a lawsuit. it isnt like anyone got permanently hurt. i get it sucks to have a night of food poising, but where does or when will this sue happy society ever stop.

so if i go eat at an Italian restaurant and their sauce gives me and 20 other people heartburn we should sue them. it is just ridiculous

FFR, you remember the infamous law suit won by a woman who spilled McDonald’s coffee from the drive thru all over her lap cause she can’t chew gum & drive at the sametime.

She was the one that was negligent. But she won millions.

Now McD’s has warning labels ‘caution hot coffee’ (yeah, no shit), and I read where they have coffee makers that don’t get the water as hot as they used to anymore.

  74. TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

    Tim,
On last night’s convo: I didn’t do a good job expressing my opinion. If someone were starting a band and they could choose between Bonham and Peart, either way would not be wrong. With Bonham, you would likely have to stay in a certain range of music; with Peart, you would be freer to try and explore different types of styles. I think that Peart could do everything Bonham could, even though I readily admit it would not have the soul Bonham gives it. On the other hand, I don’t think Bonham could do everything Peart could do. The problem is, with him dying at 32 (which is about when I think Peart was hitting his technical peak), he never got the chance to explore and improve his technique, so we’ll really never know.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

If you listen to In Through The Outdoor Zep was exploring new directions and Bonham’s drumming was really good. We’ll never know where they/he were headed. But like I said, I have a hard time comparing musicians anyway, especially really good ones.

      • TryPod's avatar Try Pod says:

I listen to Zep just about every day- a little reggae/calypso… But again, very heavy handed on the percussion.

@JamesWalkerNFL power rankings are arbitrary. Fins 5-2 outside div.; no worse than teams after #12 on list (crushed Texans & beat PHL).

From Elias Sports Bureau (mentioned in ESPN power ranking next to Giants)
The Giants have lost four times this season when holding a lead in the final minute of the game. According to Elias, that’s tied for the most since the merger.

i agree. own up to it. however, in this case boulder did nothing wrong. but my point is why sue. i mean what damages are there. what is the reward for getting bad food. what is the basis of the reward. i mean other then out the money for the mean and any loss of work, where are the damages? what, are the people that got sick now scared for life and they get sick every time trump says the word mexico cause they got sick at a mexican restaurant once

My last comment about the Ravens game…

For all the crap RT got, ppl just ignored the 15 yard square in route pass to DeVante Parker on 3rd and 7 that extended the Fins final offensive drive and forced the Ravens to use their final TO with 2:25 left and eventually led to 2:00 being shaved off the game clock.

    FFR,

I’ve been food poisoned about 5-6 times in my life.

1st time was some local sub shop in Wabasso, Florida (lunch after surfing in Sebastian Inlet).
Everyone who ate a sub got sick except the 1 person who suggested it.

Everyone had everything put on the sandwhich except the 1 person who suggested; he ‘held’ the mayo. I’m pretty sure they left the stupid metal spoon in the mayo all day.

2nd time was some local cafe in Newport Beach, California where I ordered egg white sandwich. The sandwhich was good; my brother asked where I got it when I got back to where I was staying at…I went back with him and noticed egg whites were in a carafe unrefrigerated …They had to crack some new eggs for him because there was very little for them to use on his sandwich. I got very sick; he got partially sick and I’m pretty sure that was the source.

3rd time was in Italy; some girl i got to know gave me home made wine her uncle made. What a real mother fucker the next day turned out to be.

4th time was via the corporate park cafeteria located in the AIG offices I worked at in NJ. I asked the mexicans in the kitchen if they had any chipotle peppers (no pun intended based on earlier discussions here); and they said yes . They put some on my sandwich and i got a bit shit storm about a day later. I had the special sandwich of the day that countless of people at the office stood in line for except I’m the only asshole who asked for chipotle peppers.

5th time was some reheated expresso coffee (may have been microwaved several times throughout the day; i dont remember) that some co-worker passed off as fresh coffee to me in the afternoon. I found out that she had a habit of refrigerating made coffee, then nuking it again to re-use it, then doing the same thing again (refrigerate/reheat same batch). She learned the hard way though; she got very sick off the same batch she fucked me with LOL.

SMH @ Omar. He’s breaking down HC candidates for 2016, most are obvious, but his 2nd one is Marvin Lewis, claiming the Phins could lure him by trading Cincy a draft pick….WTF is he smoking??? LOL

    • Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

The most laughable part of that analysis is that he was bashing the idea of Mike Shanahan as HC by citing Shanahan’s record at WASHINGTON.
What has Marvin Lewis done to lift his team beyond a 1st round playoff RD?
At least Shanahan won multiple SB.

      • getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

Right…LOL….and the fact that why would Cincy let Lewis go after one of their best seasons under his tenure. Dumb.

    • Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

I’m just reading his caption for Marvin Lewis and love how he says “He’s done plenty with little”
LOL…Chad Johnson & Aj Green at WR throughout the years…. countless 1st RD TE, a stable of RB throughout his 13 years, good OL. Solid defenses. Carson Palmer before Andy Daulton…

      • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Lewis was always known to underachieve. I love it when Omar ventures out into territory he’s never been and just makes shit up. It’s good comedy. LOL

ffr — don’t think I missed your point at all. Was just pointing out to Boulder what might be happening given the way it works. And hey……I was a defense lawyer. Am in favor of a good number of proposed tort reform ideas, but it ain’t in place.

But even then, if say ten thousand people at Sunlife next Monday eat bad hot dogs and do a group hurl in the parking lot after the game……I got no problem with a class action from them against those who sold them to them. Make me Jahn and all I do is limit the amount of recovery, especially the punitive damages part.
