By Dr. Bruce Banner
So Hulk watch Phins finally beat dreaded Ravens from Baltimore. This is a team that has cursed Phins for long time with painful losses in playoffs and regular season. Hulk watch the hated Matt Schaub who beat Phins five teams as starting quarterback of Texans and never lose to Phins. Hulk watch Schaub get tossed around like ragdoll and throw ball into defenders hands. Hulk watch young WR with bad foot finally play and make impact on game with 2 crucial catches including big touchdown catch. Hulk watch defense make crucial plays with game on the line. So you think Hulk would be happy? Wrong!
Hulk was feeling happy for a brief moment, then he come here and he see who was complaining about scoring only 15 points, who was complaining that our quarterback was no good. Who was complaining that our offensive line is what let down quarterback. Hulk say okay I see same old debates even with win. It start to make Hulk feel angry that we can no even enjoy hard fought win against a team that has caused us much pain. But even this no make Hulk that angry. What make Hulk angry was when he read that win was no good because it means we move down in draft order. Hulk get angry when he sees fan who wants us to lose just so we get first pick.
Hulk not always good in reason but this how Hulk figures things. Hulk no want to be drafting at number 1. Hulk wants Phins to draft at number 32. So any game that gets Phins closer to 32 better than any game that gets Phins closer to number 1. Trying to lose games to get draft position is something that talking heads like Blowmar like to go off about. Fans should never root for team to lose. When Hulk watch game he feels anger rise up within him when he see team in danger of losing. Hulk gets that way because he has fire for team to win. It doesn’t matter if it is only for one game Hulk feel it better to win that game than lose it. Hulk would want heads of anyone in organization who is actively trying to lose game to gain draft choice. There is no room for that in professional sports. Even Hulk know that. So what would make Hulk happy? If this team can go on a 5 game run and win some games, finish strong with momentum and then we really have something to build on. What would make Hulk angry? Anyone saying we should lose just to get better draft pick. Hulk Smash!
Here is something else that makes Hulk angry:

Morning Update
DOLPHINS-GIANTS
Al 27-26 MIA
Piggy 19-16 MIA
Howie 29-27 MIA
WERE STILL BAD!
You guys must expect our Defense to score a lot cause the O sure ain’t scoring 27 much less 29.
I love the wins too Hulk, but I hate seeing the warts with them.
It is nice, as ‘toba pointed out the other day, that we got the Texans, Fest and Ravens monkey off our back so those are good things.
Oh yeah and despite our O-line looking not much different than any other O-line I watched on Sunday, and despite being able to run the ball but unable to sustain drives cause that’s what 40 something percent passing gets you – Ryan Tannehill is great and the future of this franchise – whoopie!
Son:
Almost every win have warts and that is not just the Phins
HOWIE-HOWIE-HOWIE: SO you pre-empted me by taking my 29-27 score, eh?? WELL, FRANKSLY speaking, I think our FG kicker will boot 4, count ’em, 4 Field Goals plus 2 extra points after touchdowns and the score will be – – –
26-24 MIA.
TERRIFIC STUFF, Dr. BANNER!!! – – Losing for a higher draft pick MAKES NO SENSE when a proven loser like TANNENBAUM has veto power over Hickey’s selections!! So let’s just win as many games as we can and let the draft sort things out later. Besides, I’m hoping against hope that CAMPBELL can somehow finish the year on a winning streak and EARN the right to be Head Coach of the Dolphins. He’s CERTAINLY GOING TO BE BETTER THAN ANYBODY ROSS & T-BAUM SELECT FROM A LIST OF CANDIDATES, unless the author of that list is BILL POLIAN!
———–
JUST WIN, BABY!! – – LOSING is for LOSERS!!
Nice article Hulk! I’m not sure anyone here is really pining for a better draft pick by losing, (it’s possible though).
Here’s how I feel about winning games now. It don’t mean squat. I’d like to get closer to picking 32nd also, but how about winning games when they count, BEFORE we’re eliminated from playoff contention? How bout that boys? Winning now makes the game more fun to watch, but doesn’t really mean a whole lot, and winning ugly doesn’t even make the game fun to watch. That’s how I feel, and I’m not telling anyone else to feel this way, it’s just me.
We all want more wins and to be in playoff contention but when the HC is fired on week 4 you pretty much know your season is F’d at that point.

I realize that, but you know if I had it my way, Philbin would have been gone 2 years ago, but certainly at the end of last season.
All I ate at chipotle yesterday for lunch and got violently sick through the night last night. I must have thrown up 15 times. Then I turn on TV this morning and I guess a bunch of people got sick for eating that in boston yesterday. I suggest you stay away from chipotle for a little while.
The entire BC basketball team. Are you in MA now or CO?
In Colorado.
nice job Hulk. i don’t want us to lose to get a better draft spot but right now I don’t care if we win or lose because it mean nothing, but I guess I would rather see them win than lose even if it’s ugly. Right now I would like to see more playing time from the youngsters the rest of the way.
I think you’re seeing more young guys play already.
Try,
Haven’t started Esselmont yet. I keep putting it off, but I hear his contributions to the Malazan are really good.
Boulder
Wow, that sucks man. Hope you feel better! Do they know what it is that made you sick?
I have no idea. I assumed it was the chicken bowl I had at chipotle since other people are getting sick from that place. I thought I had to go to the hospital. that sucked.
Boulder, I just had a stomach virus last week. I feel your pain. Yours sounded worse than mine though.
yea its like you just want to die 🙂
Chipotle has had some real significant issues with food poisoning lately. Which sucks because I really like their stuff. Hope you feel better Boulder.
thanks man. Yea I usually like their food a lot.
Boulder
Apparently they had a huge problem in Boston, and shut down (temporarily) one of their restaurants. I’m wondering what specifically is the culprit.
they closed 43 restaurants last month in Oregon and Washington state for the same reason. I think I’m gonna stay away from that place for a little while.
Wow! That sounds like a problem
I only had chipotle once, a couple of weeks ago with my son. I liked it, but it wasn’t as good as my son made me think it is. lol
My daughter loves Chipolte. I usually go to Qdoba because it’s more convenient. To me they’re basically the same.
Sheesh, I just had Chipotle the other day. I didn’t realize I was playing Chipotle Roulette. I’m staying away from that place for awhile too.
There are 43 Chipolte’s in Oregon? Is that l they eat there? LOL
Is that all they eat there?
That and pine bark.
And Moose pies.
Chipotles commercials always imply that they use fresh ingredients, and no by products. Maybe they need to start using some by products. lol

Can’t argue that
If there are 43 Chipotles in Oregon, there must have been a huge trail of sh*t there. Gives new meaning to the Oregon Trail

I had no idea Landry has been showing his frustration in this manner.
Damn
I thought Landry was one of the good guys. Maybe he just think Tannehill sucks, who knows?
I actually think Jarvis is serious competitor who just wants to win.
Frustration. The offense hasn’t been good. He’s also had some drops too.
lol, he’s young and fiery, and I bet it’s more about the ineffectiveness of the offense than the fact he’s gotten less touches, Still you hate to see this after a win.

He also has 1 rushing TD
He also has 15-107 7.1 1 TD rushing.
Yeah, the article is done poorly. Kong should be ashamed for posting that. lol
I am suitably chastened.
LOL, I saw that too. Guys size up other guys all the time.
The article is from October so the stats are not up until now.
The one from after the Ravens game referenced the other one from Oct. Only reason I posted it.
Regarding Chipotle talk around here, there is currently an Ecoli outbreak in the US affecting multiple companies that includes Starbucks, Costco, and also Chipotle.
Ecoli was found in a Rotisseri Chicken Salad product that Costco sells. I believe it was determined that ‘celery’ from one of their suppliers was contaminated and Starbucks soon after recalled their Holiday Turkey Panini which contained ingredients sourced from the same farm company where Costco’s ‘celery’ was coming from. I don’t think anyone has actually been sickened by Starbucks products though (I haven’t read anything on it).
Here is the CDC statement on Chipotle’s Ecoli issue:

Hey now
LOL, now I get it. Landry feels he’s got the ‘shorted’.

I like Starbucks coffee, but I don’t buy it there. I like to grind it fresh, and brew it myself. I’m a kick-ass Barista. lol
That’s different. I’m not a fan of coffee from all these places. I drink coffee black so there is no disguising it with milk and creams and sweeteners. I use a little sugar to curb the bitterness and that’s it. So the coffee has to be good. Dunkin Donuts coffee is disgusting black. I only drink one 12 oz in the morning and that’s it so I make it at home.
The thing with Chipotle is they are supposed to be using ‘locally sourced’ ingredients as much as possible. I’m not sure how possible it is when there is snow on the ground.
I’ve been sick as well, missed work yesterday and still feeling not great today. Maybe it’s some kind of blog virus? 😉
The uninspiring play of this team has everyone feeling a bit under the weather.
CavalierKong,
Heh, i just meant that it’s normal behavior for people playing the sport.
I watched Monday Night Football last night and saw DeSean Jackson & Dez Bryant bitching all game to everybody (refs, teammates, opponent) LOL
Gotcha. Yeah, I wasn’t trying to start pitchforks against Landry, I was just surprised to read that. I hadn’t realized he has shown the typical receiver-diva behavior.

CavalierKong,
The only thing I didn’t know about was that issue with LaMichael James, however, James came into the NFL with character issues so maybe Landry saw something he didn’t like from him and shitted on him.
So apparently Landry ate at Chipotle’s too.
He’s just not himself when he’s hungry.
Who does he think he is Najeh Davenport?
LOL
Better than being Cecil Collins
I like Landry a lot. I love his fire, and usually the flip side of the fiery guys is they can be a bit explosive off the field as well. I’m just hoping he doesn’t go full-diva on us. Landry, Parker, Matthews and Still is a very nice WR core if we can keep the gang together.

At least 72 employees at the Department of Homeland Security are listed on the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to a Democratic lawmaker.
Rep. Stephen Lynch (D., Mass.) disclosed that a congressional investigation recently found that at least 72 people working at DHS also “were on the terrorist watch list.”
“Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector general did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security,” Lynch told Boston Public Radio.
DHS continues to fail inspections aimed at determining the efficiency of its internal safety mechanisms, as well as its efforts to protect the nation.
Lynch referred to a recent report that found the Transportation Security Administration, which is overseen by DHS, failed to stop 95 percent of those who attempted to bring restricted items past airport security.
“We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate,” Lynch said. “We had folks—this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate.”
Lynch said he has “very low confidence” in DHS based on its many failures over the years. For this reason, he voted in favor of recent legislation that will tighten the vetting process for any Syrian refugees applying for asylum in the United States.
“I have very low confidence based on empirical data that we’ve got on the Department of Homeland Security. I think we desperately need another set of eyeballs looking at the vetting process,” he said. “That’s vetting that’s being done at major airports where we have a stationary person coming through a facility, and we’re failing 95 percent of the time.”
“I have even lower confidence that they can conduct the vetting process in places like Jordan, or Belize or on the Syrian border, or in Cairo, or Beirut in any better fashion, especially given the huge volume of applicants we’ve had seeking refugee status,” Lynch said.

Opening Odds & Computer Pick
Sportsbooks, including Bovada, had set the Miami Dolphins as 0-point on the opening line for this contest. The total was hovering around 47.5 earlier in the week (check for the current over-under lines at MyBookie).
Odds Shark prediction models pick the Dolphins to win this game on Monday 26-24.
Statistical Matchup
Offensively, the game matches up the Miami Dolphins No. 27-ranked offense (20 PPG) against a New York Giants defense that ranks No. 22 at 24.67 PPG. The Dolphins passing attack has averaged 230.83 yards per game, less than the Giants give up through the air (315.17 YPG on average).
Defensively, the New York Giants feature the league’s No. 13-rated road run defense, allowing 105.67 yards per game. The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, ranks No. 11 in rushing offense at home.
The latest line at MyBookie shows the Giants -1.
Tim, I so agree. HowTF could anything like this happen in a smart advanced world leader of a country is beyond me.
It screams of being a deliberate infiltration allowed by the PTB. They want civil war & mass panic within this country for a reason.

Didn’t mean to leave you out, I just know Son is very much for bringing Shula here.
I didn’t feel left out….lol
I know he’s been on the Mac Notwen thing since that team started turning around finally.
Rivera is a helluva coach. Seems to run a well disciplined ship all the way around.
i dont see the problem with wanting them to lose to get a higher draft position. it isnt like they are in a playoff run or anything. and it is wanting them to obtain higher quality players. it is after all the basis of the draft. for the teams with the worst record to pick first and have a shot at the ‘best’ talent. to me, wanting them to win meaningless games is just being selfish and wanting a win just to make yourself feel good, when in theory it is hurting the team. if you really want to see them drafting 32nd, then in seasons like this you should hope they can obtain the best talent in the draft.
ok, now everyone can say how the draft is a crap shoot and how you should be able to get talent any where in the draft and ignore the part where i said ‘in theory’ and how it is the basis of the draft. oh yeah, and dont forget the part of tanny sucks too
The draft is a crap shoot. You don’t lose on purpose cause it poisons the team….IMO.
Look at the Colts, they sucked for Luck and now Luck sucks for them….LOL. Irony!
It wasn’t long ago that Rivera was on the hot seat. Now he’s the toast of the town. LOL
Yep they turned it around. Also good to be in a shit division to gain some confidence and momentum from.

and who said anything about losing on purpose. maybe hard to believe but i dont play for the team. i just sit on my sofa, well ok i kind of frolic on my sofa and watch them. i have no control over if they win or lose. i just want them to win when it counts. when it doesnt i want them to obtain the best chances of winning next season.
This is basically how I feel. In seasons past, I’ve never wanted a loss, even when we’ve been eliminated, but this year, I’m not even enjoying the wins, so I’d rather the team continue doing what it has done so well, which is suck major ass. Get a good draft slot, and forget this stupid year ever happened, lol.

Awesome job by the team of Dr. Banner, The Hulk and Dr. Ken (you guys know what the “D” in JD means?).
Completely agree that we should just be able to say “great to have a win” the day it happens. Plenty of times to moan about Tanny and not making the playoffs the day after.
Coach Campbell loved it.
Of course he loved it….he’s fighting for his future more than almost anyone on this team. Whether he gets our HC job, another job with another team after this season, or maybe wants to be a college coach — his record as interim HC is going to be in bold letters on his resume for years to come until he gets another HC gig.
Look at last year’s 1st rd and check out how many players either due to injury or whatever aren’t really all that at the moment.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000489937/article/2015-nfl-draft-firstround-signing-tracker
Least we’re finally getting some valuable reps for Parker so he’ll be ready to BREAKOUT in 2016 with our new offense!
Tim,
It’s not just the 1st rd, I’d rather pick in the top 5 of every round than in the middle of every rd, plain and simple.
I get your position though, lol. I’ve been on the other side of this every other year than this one.
15 years of futility has rally just beaten me into the ground. Of course picking at the top of the draft hasn’t helped us before, smh. How many players are still here from the Jake Long draft when we picked at the top, the Ronnie Brown draft when we picked in the top 5, the Ted Ginn draft when we picked top 10. What fucking depressing though, lol.

Boulder — if Chipotle is having that many problems there should be some lawyers getting a class action together against them as we speak. Might be worth your while to find them.
First they would be able to figure out if others got sick from the store you went too (or same food supplier there) around the same period, which would make for a solid case. Even if not, you’d probably get something (even if not the amount in the headlines) when it comes time that corporate wants to just get the whole thing out of the papers.
I’d think the suit would be targeting the supplier, not the unaware retailer unless they tainted the meat once they received it, but supposedly there are other retailers that had the same issue from the same supply farm.
Tighten up there JD. 😉
Chipotle will still be a party in the suit and be there through months of litigation unless there is a settlement unless there is a settlement, which is always what most likely happens. And Chipotle is responsible for making their customers sick. They may be able to countersue the supplier, but they are still on the hook unless they absolutely could not have known.
And key thing is that Chipotle will be the ones with the greatest reason to get it out of the press.
(you guys know what the “D” in JD means?).
no, but i know what it means when she screams, get that damned D away from me before i bobbitt it
It’s that small & riddled with lil bumps? 😯
LOL…….was the “she” a typo or were you actually talking about Dr. Ken?
i drove by a Chipotle once, can i sue them too
Kong in his 2:28 post all of a sudden became a British woman. Rally he did. lol
LOL!
I agree about Chipotle wanting to get it out of the press asap.
I remember a lot of people a few years back became very ill, some died I think, from e-coli on spinach leaves that was sold in several grocery stores in several states.
The culprit was immigrant farm workers not properly washing there hands after going to the bathroom and then handling the leaves & packaging them for resale. The farm where they were processed was sued.
I’m sure the farm worker, the farm he worked for, the distributor that bought from them were all on the hook. But in a situation the lawyers look to the “deep pockets.” In this case that means Chipotle. That means that company gets double teamed by the plaintiffs’ lawyers looking for a big pay day and the supplier looking for the company to pay out as much as possible out of what is ultimately due.
“Let [Carolina] get past that jinx of the 13th game and then come ask me again if I think they will have a perfect season.”

Maybe he decides not too. But if I learned that a dozen other people got sick at the same place on a given night as I did…..yeah I’d join in. Whether to get in the mix of a bigger class action to just to be part of “the nuisance” in the mix…..that would be up to him. Pretty sure the lawyers would be interested in his story though.

Tim,
On last night’s convo: I didn’t do a good job expressing my opinion. If someone were starting a band and they could choose between Bonham and Peart, either way would not be wrong. With Bonham, you would likely have to stay in a certain range of music; with Peart, you would be freer to try and explore different types of styles. I think that Peart could do everything Bonham could, even though I readily admit it would not have the soul Bonham gives it. On the other hand, I don’t think Bonham could do everything Peart could do. The problem is, with him dying at 32 (which is about when I think Peart was hitting his technical peak), he never got the chance to explore and improve his technique, so we’ll really never know.
If you listen to In Through The Outdoor Zep was exploring new directions and Bonham’s drumming was really good. We’ll never know where they/he were headed. But like I said, I have a hard time comparing musicians anyway, especially really good ones.
I listen to Zep just about every day- a little reggae/calypso… But again, very heavy handed on the percussion.
Trypod,
I saw the Mercury Morris story earlier via Twitter but LOL at the link name chose by Yahoo to present that story “blowhard mercury morris”

@JamesWalkerNFL power rankings are arbitrary. Fins 5-2 outside div.; no worse than teams after #12 on list (crushed Texans & beat PHL).
From Elias Sports Bureau (mentioned in ESPN power ranking next to Giants)
The Giants have lost four times this season when holding a lead in the final minute of the game. According to Elias, that’s tied for the most since the merger.
getter,
when i am discussing liability issues with every one of my clients they always at some point say ‘yeah but i cant get sued for that’ and my response each and every time. ‘mcdonalds got sued for serving hot coffee’. that pretty much puts an end to the discussion
There ya go. Like suing a gum manufacture or gun shop owner cause you blew your face off while cleaning your gun improperly. Own up to it.
Why sue a gum manufacture for blowing your face off? What kind of gum are you chewing, nitroglycerin? LOL
Congrats, Kong.
Here’s your new company car.

LMAO!
That’s close to what the old Steppenwolf dickmobile was like.
There he goes, he’s the shit now. No doubt he’s going to fuck us all. LOL
LOL TIM
getter,
i agree. own up to it. however, in this case boulder did nothing wrong. but my point is why sue. i mean what damages are there. what is the reward for getting bad food. what is the basis of the reward. i mean other then out the money for the mean and any loss of work, where are the damages? what, are the people that got sick now scared for life and they get sick every time trump says the word mexico cause they got sick at a mexican restaurant once
My last comment about the Ravens game…
For all the crap RT got, ppl just ignored the 15 yard square in route pass to DeVante Parker on 3rd and 7 that extended the Fins final offensive drive and forced the Ravens to use their final TO with 2:25 left and eventually led to 2:00 being shaved off the game clock.
C’mon, all QB’s can do that, sayeth the Tannebashers.
From the Steppenwolf ‘For Ladies Only’ album.
LOL, I’ve seen that.
The cops got them pulled over and are talking to them on the sidewalk.
Officer: you can’t squeeze that in there like that.
John Kay: Huh? Don’t be a lil prick you pig!
Congrats Kong! I’m rally happy for you!
LMAO
FFR,
I’ve been food poisoned about 5-6 times in my life.
1st time was some local sub shop in Wabasso, Florida (lunch after surfing in Sebastian Inlet).
Everyone who ate a sub got sick except the 1 person who suggested it.
Everyone had everything put on the sandwhich except the 1 person who suggested; he ‘held’ the mayo. I’m pretty sure they left the stupid metal spoon in the mayo all day.
2nd time was some local cafe in Newport Beach, California where I ordered egg white sandwich. The sandwhich was good; my brother asked where I got it when I got back to where I was staying at…I went back with him and noticed egg whites were in a carafe unrefrigerated …They had to crack some new eggs for him because there was very little for them to use on his sandwich. I got very sick; he got partially sick and I’m pretty sure that was the source.
3rd time was in Italy; some girl i got to know gave me home made wine her uncle made. What a real mother fucker the next day turned out to be.
4th time was via the corporate park cafeteria located in the AIG offices I worked at in NJ. I asked the mexicans in the kitchen if they had any chipotle peppers (no pun intended based on earlier discussions here); and they said yes . They put some on my sandwich and i got a bit shit storm about a day later. I had the special sandwich of the day that countless of people at the office stood in line for except I’m the only asshole who asked for chipotle peppers.
5th time was some reheated expresso coffee (may have been microwaved several times throughout the day; i dont remember) that some co-worker passed off as fresh coffee to me in the afternoon. I found out that she had a habit of refrigerating made coffee, then nuking it again to re-use it, then doing the same thing again (refrigerate/reheat same batch). She learned the hard way though; she got very sick off the same batch she fucked me with LOL.
Bacteria is not just a myth.

SMH @ Omar. He’s breaking down HC candidates for 2016, most are obvious, but his 2nd one is Marvin Lewis, claiming the Phins could lure him by trading Cincy a draft pick….WTF is he smoking??? LOL
The most laughable part of that analysis is that he was bashing the idea of Mike Shanahan as HC by citing Shanahan’s record at WASHINGTON.
What has Marvin Lewis done to lift his team beyond a 1st round playoff RD?
At least Shanahan won multiple SB.
Right…LOL….and the fact that why would Cincy let Lewis go after one of their best seasons under his tenure. Dumb.
I’m just reading his caption for Marvin Lewis and love how he says “He’s done plenty with little”
LOL…Chad Johnson & Aj Green at WR throughout the years…. countless 1st RD TE, a stable of RB throughout his 13 years, good OL. Solid defenses. Carson Palmer before Andy Daulton…
Lewis was always known to underachieve. I love it when Omar ventures out into territory he’s never been and just makes shit up. It’s good comedy. LOL

stanger,
i think you missed my entire point. the point is there shouldnt be a lawsuit. it isnt like anyone got permanently hurt. i get it sucks to have a night of food poising, but where does or when will this sue happy society ever stop.
so if i go eat at an Italian restaurant and their sauce gives me and 20 other people heartburn we should sue them. it is just ridiculous
———————-
ffr — don’t think I missed your point at all. Was just pointing out to Boulder what might be happening given the way it works. And hey……I was a defense lawyer. Am in favor of a good number of proposed tort reform ideas, but it ain’t in place.
But even then, if say ten thousand people at Sunlife next Monday eat bad hot dogs and do a group hurl in the parking lot after the game……I got no problem with a class action from them against those who sold them to them. Make me Jahn and all I do is limit the amount of recovery, especially the punitive damages part.
Dolphins will be wearing throwback jerseys for the MNF game against the Giants
Might not have noticed unlessed you mentioned.
Seems the only difference in our throwbacks is that Shamu turns back into Flipper again.
They should throwback the ones they’ve been wearing this season….lol

I actually like the darker uni’s from the 90’s
Me too.
These pastel-like colors are pretty wussified. The darker teal was a stronger color.

Yeah — way to go Kong?
Where did you find his baby pictures?
