Watching this team reminds me a lot of my golf game.. I’m not good at it… I drink a lot.. And I only have a few shots that makes me want to do it again. 😎

  2. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

The lack of communication between the OL was deplorable today. You had guys missing blocks, leaving defenders free to take a shot on whomever had the ball.

  3. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

I can’t believe I am going to be on hand to watch the Steelers dismantle us next week. Bell and Williams should go over 100 apiece on the ground.

  4. Brian in NY's avatar Brian in NY says:

    Phindog,

The DL was no better. No pressure on the QB, and they were gashed for well over 200 yards on the ground.

Okay, I can’t waste any more of my day talking about how much we suck the I have a ton of things to do. BBL

  6. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

This team sucks. Same shit every year. And it starts at the top

  7. D's avatar D says:

When I saw Turner at senior bowl I was big time anti us drafting him. Everyone was in love with him. I thought though if he came in as a LT and spent time developing hr might eventually be decent, but doesn’t look like that’s in the cards for him. I’m more shocked Thomas didn’t develop, more so than Turner, but you can obviously see they do not think much of Thomas since they keep leaning on Turner, who is a bum at every position. Thomas played today too didn’t he? I didn’t pay much attention to him but he didn’t get called out much so he must haven’t been the most awful part of the OL

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

LOL at all the different opinions.

We’re not good in a lot of phases. We’re going to see a lot of personnel and maybe even some coaching changes in the offseason but not the HC or the coordinators.

  8. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

come on guys let up some. you cant fault just the team, you all have to take some of the blame. you know they were just looking forward to the fest game and overlooked tenn.

  9. D's avatar D says:

Mike I appreciate you trying to keep the situation grounded but you need to give up trying to defend Tanny. We all know he isn’t the only problem but he is a big piece that is also a problem and no matter if we completely surrounded him with excellent players we would be limited by him so therefore the discussion has to include him

  10. 81Howie's avatar 81Howie says:

So far I’ve seen 2 NFC east rookie QBs that make Tanny look like a Community College WR trying to play Quaterback in the NFL
If Jones is willing to part with Romo after this I will be happy to have him…
Just eat that 64 Mil Ross!

  14. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Watson and Cam are really nothing alike. Cam is a power game even his throws are powerful. Watson is slick and efficient. Elusive where Cam just runs you over.

  15. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Dallas is putting it on Cincy. Running like the Titans did.

  16. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

    tim,
I was talking about Ross. he doesn’t know who to hire to run a football team. So as long as he’s the owner this is the shit we’re gonna deal with year in year out.

  17. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

    D

I really do think they should sit Tanny. We can start Moore, Doughty, or anyone else you want. If either one had the O-line we had today, it would be the same misery, although I do believe that Tannehill is shell shocked. I don’t think he can mentally hack it anymore. He just can’t see the whole field anymore, I remember earlier in his career he would run away from pressure and get some good yardage, now he’s just looking to make a play, and he can’t see the sacks coming anymore. If you ever saw the movie “Every which way but loose” with Clint Eastwood, it’s like the guy who was supposed to fight him said “You like pain, you eat like candy”. I think Tannehill just keeps standing in there taking shots because he’s immune to the hits, he doesn’t get out of the way anymore.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

I agree. It’s hard to play that way.

I’d play Moore because at least he has experience. I think Doughty will get killed.

  18. BoulderPhinfan's avatar BoulderPhinfan says:

At this point this team needs a spark. Why not go with Moore? We know he can win a bunch in a row. That defense is indefensible. They are one for the ages.

  19. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

Just think we all have the debate to watch to actually get the stink of the dolphins out of our mind

  20. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

2 years ago Dallas got good QB play and the line looked great.
Last year the QB play was bad and the line was questioned.
This year good QB play and the line looks amazing again.

Take that for whatever you will.

  21. Ken's avatar Ken says:

My thoughts on Tannehill are that he is far from the only problem on this team he is not the solution either. 5 years into the league and the game seems to fast for him still. While replacing him is not priority 1 but we are likely headed for a top 5 or better pick. If there is a QB at the top of the draft we should probably pull the trigger and draft him. You don’t get that many opportunities to do that and hopefully we will not have another opportunity like this for a long time to come

  22. New Age's avatar New Age says:

I know Tanny isn’t the only stink but has anyone watched Watson a lot? He’s looked really good the few times I’ve watched him but not sure. Kizer seems to be well liked as is Kelly. It would be nice to pick Garret and Kelly later next year Maybe Peppers but is he worth the top 3 pick?

    • son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

Kizer and Kaaya have a lot of good qualities but I have noticed then to be like Tanny where they will hold it too long. You can’t do that in the NFL.
Watson makes plays. He’s a dealer. A Winner.

      • son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

I have to watch Kelly some more.

      • New Age's avatar New Age says:

Yeah, after watching Kaaya the past few years, he just doesn’t do enough to win. They have had FSU on the ropes the last 3 years and he can’t put them away. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth after the past 5 years of it in the NFL. Watson seems to find ways to win when needed, but I’m wondering how long it will take him to adjust. The guys doing well this year are long term QBs from college.

  23. son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

No way Dallas sits Dak when Romo is healthy. They struck gold.

  24. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

‘ If there is a QB at the top of the draft we should probably pull the trigger and draft him.’

this makes absolutely no sense what so ever. what are there maybe 1 or 2 qb’s playing now picked that high that are worth a shit. this team is so far away from even an elite qb. if they have a top five pick they need to trade it and accumulate more picks. and even with that, with the people drafting that still doesnt lean to much hope

No Shit Son, Thats what I’m talking about.
What does Jones do with Romo I ask…
    Can we have him?

    • Phindog's avatar Phindog says:

Romo wouldn’t last one drive with our OLine. The reason Tanny has so many sacks is because he’s on tough SOB and goes back in. Most QB’s would not be able to take that abuse. I hope to never see today’s OLine on the field again ever !!!!

    ^ conventional wisdom

    Meh

aaahhh wrong, conventional wisdom it to reach as far as possible to take a qb with the top 5 pick cause like it is magical that since he was a top 5 pick he is gonna be great.

once again where are all these top 5 qbs picked just lighting up the nfl on a consistent basis

    • son of a son of a shula's avatar son of a son of a shula says:

True really but then you can go back and say that about most positions.
If it were me picking I wouldn’t just take a QB if I didn’t like him for the sake of taking one but if I like one then in this day and age I take him. It’s the kick in the ass you can give the team.

  30. 81Howie's avatar 81Howie says:

That will work for me, but we need a back up then 😦

  31. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    son,

like i said dont waste the pick on one player, if they can trade it for multiple picks. but i get that maybe a big if.

  32. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

what they should do is just tell the other 31 teams every player on the roster other then landry is up for trade for draft picks

  37. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

We need to scrap the wide 9, which I said from day one. We don’t need to announce it, we just need to do whatever it takes to stop giving up hundreds of yards rushing every game.

When I read the names and resumes of the DL, I am impressed, but they get no pressure on the QB and can’t stop any type of running play at all. Why is this?

BRYAN in NY and TIM; I DON’T BELIEVE FOR ONE SECOND that 95% of this site have been ripping the O-Line. IN FACT, I’m gonna go back a few months and scan the comments on our O-Line during the off-season. My recollection is something to the effect that “We’ve made an incredible first round pick in Tunsil. He’s gonna be a star in this league. With James and Albert coming back, our O-Line’s gonna be OK.” Well I never swallowed that crock of horseshit THEN or NOW! Albert, James and Pouncey CAN’T STAY HEALTHY!! And Bushface and Turnstile have been horseshit since day one!! – – ONLY someone as incompetent as Tannenbaum would put together an O-Line consisting of those those 5 guys and a pothead first round draft pick!! – – AND, please, save the 95% comments for Jets’ fans!

  45. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

The truth is, our team is just really bad. That defense, which so many blame on Tannehill just sucks big fat dick. We score a ST’s TD, you’d think the D would be all fired up, but what does this POS defense do?

Demarco Murray for 5, 3, 8 – Mariota for 8 – Henry for 8, Henry for 2, Henry for 20, Henry for 15, Murray for 10, then Mariota throws a TD to Andre Johnson. Just embarrassing. No heart, nothing. I hate this team so much, no one seems to give a shit.

  47. naplesfan2010's avatar naplesfan2010 says:

To me the fact that we gave up that TD in 73 seconds right before the half is the biggest indictment of Vance Joseph and the Defense. We had momentum and were gonna get the ball to start the second half, but that just killed us.

    75 yards in 73 seconds!!!!!!!!

    • Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

Naples, I thought the TD drive they ran all over us after Jakeem Grant’s punt return for a TD was much more demoralizing. Just got some momentum, and they shoved it right down our throat, one long run after another. They weren’t tired yet, they just got physically abused.

I agree that Tannehill sucked today, but I’m tired of the chicken and the egg crap here. Each unit has sucked on it’s own accord, not because of Tannehill. If Tannehill sucks, that doesn’t give the O-line license to be turnstiles, or the defense to lay down and get run over. I think that’s what bugs me the most. Ok, Tannehill and the offense can’t get it done, we just scored a ST’s TD, and the defense goes back out there like a bunch of frigging bullfighters. I’m tired of the blame game that the whole team sucks because Tannehill sucks. He;s a middle of the road QB, he’s not the worst, he’s average, although this year, less than average. So what, the rest of the team just has to do it;s effing job!

NOT voting is not an option. You are better off with a write in than not voting.

it is called a joke, you know kind of like both of these fools. that one of these fools is going to be the leader of the country. there is no way no matter what happens we have a winner. it is like being a dolphin fan, not matter what we come out a loser.

    • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

I disagree. There IS a choice here where the nation comes out “more of a loser” than it could have been.

      • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

I am absolutely shocked that Republicans on this blog are not furious with the way Trump has hijacked this party. WTF? At least have the guts to identify the con-man for who he is.

  92. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    Rhino,

come on, we are presented with the two worst loser ever running to the president. This is the lowest of low. I dont care who you like or not. there is no winner here.

    • Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

We are left with, unfortunately, with the lesser of two evils. That’s what this has come down to. In THIS context… easy decision.

  93. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

here is my solution to all of this.

no one goes out and votes, every one just has drinks, gets naked, runs round like crazy ass people and parties wild and no one is elected.

  94. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

these two are like watching the fins oline, it is like why even bother they have a job or not, all that is going to happen is rape of this country

  95. Rhino's avatar Rhino says:

    sigh,
never mind. This country IS fucked. :/ We clearly have stratified qualifications for citizenship… football is insignificant in comparison.

Doggy, why don’t you stand up on your hind legs, you’re probably the tallest one out of all of us! 🙂

  97. finfanrob's avatar finfanrob says:

    rhino,

this country is i agree with that if they are out best. but i disagree football is. it is our escape from it all, it suck that us as fin fans have no escape. but not much of what either of these two fools do will effect us. our kids maybe our kids kids for sure. so for the short time we are here would be kind of nice enjoying a football team that can compete

Thanks for your opinion on Trump Rhino, though I thoroughly disagree, and will most likely vote for him. Yes, I said, I’m voting for Trump. Not afraid to say it in the least. I could never vote for Hilary Clinton, I knew Donald’s father, he was a very good man. Do I care what he said 11 years ago with a bunch of guys? I’ve probably said worse things myself. Unfortunately, my vote won’t mean a damn thing, living here in NJ, where any democrat, including Hilary Clinton will get in by default. I’m still voting my conscience, and hope that possibly, my vote will count for a change.
