A healthy Jay Ajayi/Kenyan Drake combo could be a great combo, but unfortunately, there are now concussion concerns with our star RB. What happens if Jay Ajayi is out for a prolonged period of time? Do the Dolphins have enough talent in their backfield w/o Ajayi to make a playoff run? Let’s take a look . . .
At Alabama, Kenyan Drake was never “the man”, and was always 2nd fiddle to big back Derrick Henry. Drake had the talent, and was thought to be the guy, but nagging injuries always stole the opportunity for him. In his Sophomore year in 2013, Drake had a nice season, carrying (his high) 92 carries for 694 yards, an impressive 7.5 YPC, along with 8 rushing TD’s. Drake also caught 12 passes for 135 yards and 1 TD. In his entire college career, spanning 4 seasons, Drake had a total of 1495 yards rushing. That’s good and bad. Bad, because he was never asked to carry the load, and good, because he should have a lot more miles left on what should be fresh legs.
Last season as a Miami Dolphins RB, Drake was used sparingly, carrying the ball only 33 times for 179 yards with 2 rushing TD’s. Drake also caught 9 passes for 46 yards. In comparison, Ajayi had 260 carries, so Drake was just in to spell Ajayi, no more than that. The Dolphins also have Damien Williams, who was used in a few different capacities, as a FB, and also as a solid receiver out of the backfield. Williams actually had 2 more carries than Drake, 35 for 115 yards and 3 rushing TD’s. Williams added 23 receptions for 249 yards and 3 TD’s. We also have Storm Johnson, who is on his 3rd team in 3 years, taking the full FLA tour, playing for the Jaguars, Bucs, and now Dolphins. Also on the roster is Senorise Perry and De’veon Smith. De’Veon is probably the only other back here with a fair amount of carries, although in college, at Michigan. De”veon Smith finished his career at Michigan with 495 carries and 2235 yards, 22 TD’s, and a 4.5 YPC.
There was a report that the Dolphins may be interested in well traveled RB DeAngelo Williams, who was a long time Carolina Panthers, and then Pittsburgh Steelers RB. Williams, now 34, can’t be expected to carry the load Ajayi did last year, or more importantly, was expected to carry this year. Williams had less than 100 carries last year, and shouldn’t be expected for much more than that. The Dolphins really need Ajayi, and then we need to pray that he doesn’t have any concussion issues. You can always find a running back to help out, but it’s not likely to find one that can give you what Ajayi gave us last year, or was hoped to give us this year.
Do you think we’ll be OK?
Go Dolphins! Zero in!

Maybe I should have put out an article saying are the Dolphins OK at QB???
I am super busy at our new clinic… I check in quickly to read every morning before we start the work day….
BUT…
…Tanny situation has me really concerned. Fans can complain about their QB UNTIL they realize that the “next up” is NOT how we want to start the season. “Let the Kool aide last a little longer, please!”
Good to see you Rhino…….we’re open after you are off work and have a couple beers in you too. 🙂
And it was non-contact. Hopefully it is nothing, but those rarely are when the guy goes down. Normally something either popped or twisted the wrong way.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
#Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has those in Miami holding their breaths. They do not know his fate, yet. So we wait.
Hey Rhino – No question man, we need Tannehill healthy and productive for us. As crazy it sounds, I do think Kaepernick would be a strong consideration if Tanny were to be seriously injured.
get kapernick in here
Can you imagine Sonny’s reaction to us signing the girly throwing QB? lol
Lay off the ganga.
Moore is better than Kaepernick. Kaeperdick is a gimmick system QB who had limited success supported by a strong defense.
what’s your definition of “Limited Sucess” wasn’t he in two championship games and a superbowl not long ago??
Can’t say I agree with that Phelon. Kaepernick has a lot more talent than Moore. He also playoff experience, and led a team to the SB. I’d feel better with Kaepernick at QB than Moore, but that’s just me. Aside from all the negative media that surrounds Kaep, he’s a pretty good QB.
what pisses me off is that Tanny had a Ligament tear in his knee and they didn’t have it repaired tears don’t heal by themselves.
Moore IMHO is not a starting caliper QB in the NFL Even though i dislike Kaepernick (He throws like my sister) i think he would be way better than Moore
caliber
Anyone else have data issues when clicking on links to the Heralds sight? .03 GB to view one article. They must have videos playing too in the background.
Tannehurt
He was an iron man now he’s one of them Eye-talians he’s fra- gee- lay.
Say no to Kaeper-fro
I would rather have kaep than Moore. At least we know Kaep can get to a suprebowl if it has the right team around him. I doubt we get to playoffs with Moore.
It’s still very early, haven’t even played the first preseason game. So there’s plenty of time to get healthy.
I doubt he tore his ACL with the brace on. But I guess we’ll see. Now we know how the viking fans felt like last year TC.
If it is serious, I think we’re pretty lucky to have to a QB like Kaepernick available. I hate the media circus that he would bring, but he’s a better QB than Moore. In this case, Moore is less.
I agree with kaep. I think we should sign him if tanny is done.
If tanny is out for the year, I would wroght the pros and cons of Kaep
But if he is out half the season or less (praying not at all) – I would just go with Moore
Are you kidding me with Tannehill? Are things ever going to go right for this team? Fuck!!!!
We don’t know anything yet
Everyone keep your blood pressure down
Remember you are old😝
Oinks of reason
Peyton?
He can’t even throw a pizza, let alone a football
I’m very calm, because I know we have options. I’m still hoping the injury is not serious, that would be ideal.
I just don’t see how you can have a sever injury on a knee with a brace on. And there was no contact either. He needs to just shake it off 🙂
Hard to say. If you were dealing with a totally healthy knee, I would agree, but tears can get worse, without doing a whole lot. Just a little turn the wrong way can do it.
I’m really tired of all the injuries in sports and specifically with the teams I root for. It’s unbelievable.
Its luck. Brady is 40 and still playing. Our QB keeps getting injured.
Well Brady suffered a knee injury and missed a season as well. Until last year, Tannehill was an iron man. Look at all the injuries the entire team suffered last year. It’s crazy!
Last year when he injured the knee we talked about him possibly coming back from the playoffs
So let’s just say it’s the same exact thing
Does that mean he will be back early in the season?
I’m just Oinking – little is known right now
Besides, I heard Kaperdick is immigrating to Uganda to find his freedom.
THis sounds bad

It really doesn’t look like much. Hopefully like you said it just was a slight hyper-extension.

This was the play where Tannehill went down. I mean, ya just can’t make this stuff up. SMH
I’ve hyper-extended my knee and it hurts like a bitch but it does go away in short time. Let’s hope that’s all it is. Fingers crossed.
grrr cowboys fan I work with just told me this.. he saying he’s done, and we should sign Kaepernick,, but he’s also an ASSHOLE… praying..

good thing about sports is their is ALWAYs NEXT Season.
That ain’t cool.. Even if Tanny goes on IR, lots of other options. Was hoping for a step up from him to special, but like have said he hasn’t been that before.
Thanks for the vid Boulder….but sorry — you just don’t drop like that non-contact without serious pain. Best case scenario is that he re-sprained his knee (which really means more tears to the what was already there). Would be different if it was the other knee or the report came out right away about say a sprained ankle.
Great college draft class coming up for QB’s and they will be given 5 yr rookie contracts and we can spend our money in many other problem area’s. We may be able to get a great coach also with top draft pick AND reasonable cap space. We know Ross will go after flavor of the Year HC.
JS — please don’t go Home on us……we all like you too much.
you should be objective facing situations like this. I hope he is OK but the news is reporting serious issues that he may have possible career ending injury. Facts are facts. Tanny is average at best and this experiment has run its course.
Career ending? Who reported this?
jim berry channel 4—– cbs4 which is the official television station of the dolphins
But if Tanny is average at best then it does not mean end of the season for us. Can’t have it both ways my friend.
You must be a fan of HOMER SIMPSON.
Not sure what that means since don’t watch the show. Was the key point “Homer”? Keep in mind I have gotten bashed for not thinking Tanny is all that.
LOL @ Toba – Figured that. Ravens thought long and hard about signing Kaep when Flacco was having back issues, but chose not to. We’ll see what happens. Despite what others may think, I’m glad Kaep is available if we need him.
If Tanny is out for the year……then I say sign Kaep. Heck could even see a KaepMoore plan like with WoodStrock. But lets hope it doesn’t come to that.
makes since, what about the kid that was kicked off of cleveland . Last chance to show he belongs in NFL and we know Gase won’t put up with any crap. Now if he can turn this kid around we may have a qb for future or we can trade him to some teams that believe he has changed.
Johnny as another option? Am sure that same thought is going through his mind today if he isn’t in conference with some CFL team.

Yeah, man. I’m not even going to speculate until we know the cold hard facts. Fingers crossed here as well.
Anyone care about the RB situation? Anyone??? lol
LOL — Gen Mark Clark ran the US effort in Italy during WWII and has been heavily criticized for letting the Germany defenders escape cause he instead wanted to be in the headlines for re-taking Rome (which the Germans had already given up). Problem ended up being that he did so on June 5th, 1944……the day before D-Day. Sometimes timing is all.
Blood pressure?? The only time my blood pressure elevates is during Dolphins training camp.
As I get older I hate training camp more and more
It’s such a weird event
notjing means anything, except I watch to pray there are no injuries
This from Mando, according to him the big Q is PCL (likely ready for the season) or ACL (probably out for the year)
“The Dolphins know that Tannehill hyperextended his left knee — the same one that last December suffered a partially torn ACL That is the minimum of what the player is dealing with now. A source close to Tannehill said there is the possibility of poster cruciate ligament damage.”
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/armando-salguero/article165200422.html
Beer!
I just put out what was in the article. Maybe cause of my zipcode but I only get so many hits on PBP, SS or the Herald each month. But don’t worry about beers with me my friend…..both your game ticket and beers are on me when you come for the Fest collect.
I realize that there are a lot of Phin fans who don’t have faith in Matt Moore… they seem to only remember the Sparano/Daboll version of Moore, who wasn’t that bad at all (the TEAM sucked). Remember he got Brandon Marshall into the Pro-Bowl in ’11… then BM through Moore under the bus AT the Pro-Bowl, SMH.
Moore has grown along with Tannehill over the last 5 years (from Philbin to Gase), and Gase had very good reason to bring Moore back. And let’s not forget: Moore posted a 105.6 passer rating last season in 3 games relieving Tannehill… seems Moore has the Gase playbook down pat. Moore would also be the clear-cut starter on several teams around the league.
I just wanted to throw that out there before everybody jumps off a cliff if we receive bad news later today. All is not lost, even in a worst case scenario. Nevertheless… my fingers remained crossed for Tannehill, the better QB of the two.
Matt Moore led 2 game-winning drives last year in only 3 games. League leader was Matthew Stafford with 8. Moore was trending towards 11 on the year had he played all 16 games.
Moore did what he did with our playoff hopes on the line… the man can handle pressure.

#EXCLUSIVE #Dolphins quarterback Ryan #Tannehill seen walking into team facility hours after injuring knee. http://bit.ly/2unUhY4
If it comes to it, O actually brought up a more likely name than Kaep…….Jay Cutler.
Omar doesn’t seem to realize that Cutler is retired and working in the booth this year. Will he come out of retirement? Maybe… but he’s not up to speed. What’s more, Tannehill might be alright at the end of the day.
Why are we trying to replace Tannehill so suddenly?
Started with “if it comes to it.” Hoping not, but if Tanny is out for the year how can we not bring another QB in? Explained how my big worry is that the injury happened non-contact.
Matt Moore is LEGIT, that’s all I’m trying to say, bud.
And I should add… Brandon Doughty isn’t chopped liver, either. I don’t understand the rush by so many to go add a shiny, pricey new QB.
I like Matt Moore too. We can win a bunch of games with him if Tanny is out…..already proved that. As far as Cutler if Ryan goes on IR, if it makes sense then seems Gase will know far before I or O does.

Do we REALLY need to run out and sign Kaep? I’m also hearing about Mike Glennon, Jay Cutler, and several others. For all we know, Tannehill may have just cramped up earlier. Let’s be patient and find out the FACTS before jumping to foregone conclusions! Matt Moore is the best backup QB in the league, BAR NONE.
Kaepernick also adds about 400-500 yards rushing, and has a better TD:INT ratio.
Moore also adds a professional attitude, more experience, and more time with Gase.

“Tanny will be fine. Hyper-extended knee requiring he sit out part of camp and pre-season. No additional damage to the ACL. MCL and PCL are fine.”
My mantra for the rest of the day.
After this, when he comes back, everybody will even be more confident the knee can handle the stress of the season.
^^^!!!
At this point if Tanny goes down i would assume it’s Moore’s job to lose, I doubt they bring in another QB to start although I think they would bring in another arm the 3rd stringer aint bad also whats his name Doughty??
IF worse comes to worse (man, I sure hope not), Moore should be the starter being he now KNOWS this Gase Offense and showed it in games 14, 15, and 16 last year.
My client and I have already made contact with Davie, but he’s going to have to change his number from #17 (that’s Tanny’s #). Case Keenum would LOVE the opportunity in South Florida! 😉
I would look more at the superbowl season with kaepernicks when he had a team around him, where he held a 98 QB rating, along with the strong rushing threat
Jay Cutler is another possibility
He’s in the booth this year as an analyst. Is he even in football shape? Plus, the biggest knock on him has been his mental toughness. Omar is grasping at straws, once again.

You do realize how bad the Niners were last year, right? Hard to pick up apart Kaep’s stats, which considering how bad the team was, were not bad.
Also – I can almost assure you, the Dolphins would not want the season riding on Brandon Doughty. He’s fine, until you realize you really need him.

For me personally….and even if only now learning, just as bad news as with the Tanny today (and Ryan still might be OK). Would be different if it was from TMZ instead of the Herald.

So, is the season over?
Why do I still feel uneasy?
Beacuse you’re worried this could happen during the season as well, and we might not be as lucky.
Maybe you need to fart?
If the brace is on correctly how could he have hyperextended his knee? It must have been very minor. I’ve had these braces on before. The brace doesn’t bend backward and it doesn’t allow the knee to bend backwards either.
So who did y’all sign as our new QB (and for how much $$$) as we awaited positive news on Tannehill?
A) Jay Cutler
B) Mike Glennon
C) Tony Romo
D) Colin Kaepernick
E) Other
F) Matt Moore still sucks
G) I patiently awaited before arriving at a very irrational, premature decision.
I’m not convinced “Other” has anything unique to offer
Maybe, maybe not. But all I saw were the BIG NAMES being thrown around.

LOL, silly! 😆
OK Mikey, there’s a Storm brewing in the backfield. We should be ok. I like Williams and Drake who undoubtedly are 2 and 3 behind Ajayi and Storm is a good addition with excellent pass catching ability and size to run inside the tackles.

New. Ryan Tannehill MRI results: Dolphins QB not out of the woods
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/armando-salguero/article165284727.html
Conclusively inconclusive
Guess watched too many Bravo shows with my better half, but am surprised the only one who cares about the news that JT and Katina (yes maiden name Thomas) got a stealth divorce in 2015 and now she is coming after him for non-payment. Had that come out before?
That could prompt a Zach Attack. Better pay that bill boy!
Sorta guessing that already was in play……but then she went the lawyer root (and right before his HOF acceptance). Sad cause I loved that story of two of our best guys and Zach’s beauty of a kid sister becoming family.
For Mike E
LOL – He was my first thought. Why the hell not? Make it an honest competition with Moore (who should have the upper hand), but it would be nice to have Kaep there just in case Moore wasn’t playing well enough. Can’t imagine leaving the season in Brandon Doughty’s hands.

Fuck!
Moore is a solid QB. He is not as athletic as Tannehill especially in terms of arm strength. That said he knows the offense and can run it well. If we bring in anyone else it is strictly to back up Moore
Agreed.
Asiata better learn fast, because the job is there for the taking
Ken you must get a kick out of Game of Thrones, where the King or Queen’s advisor is called the King’s Hand or Queen’s Hand
M
Did you see that New Orleans released Orlando Franklin already?
Making a decision on Kaepernick for Miami should have nothing to do with him kneeling for the anthem as we had players on Miami do the same thing last year.
He takes it further than that.
O-Rob…..opening day last year four guys took a knee for the anthem. Was Foster, Stills, Thomas and Jenkins (but least the last two put their hands on their hearts while doing). What might not have been seen on TV was one Dolphin made a point of joining the crew making the flag wave on the field. That was Jarvis Landry. Yeah….think he gets re-signed.
Pig socks, I had to go to Africa to find freedom, I’m oppressed. Fuck Kaepernick. He is a weak minded, socialist, piece of shit and would be a locker room cancer.
He doesn’t know what he is. He didn’t even vote.
What’s your problem with socks?
So how are we looking on the O-Line now, y’all, after Larsen’s biceps injury? THAT, alone, is going to kill ‘gel-time’ for our new front-5 being Larsen was projected to be not only our starting LG, but the “break-glass-in-case-of-emergency” in the event of Pouncey not being ready or getting injured.
THIS has been my greatest concern all along… and it’s kind of ‘back-page news’ after Ajayi’s concussion and Tannehill’s injury today.
“One key injury to our O-Line…”. Who said that (hmmm… muh? LOL)? And if anyone believes for a second that Pouncey will have a miracle and start all 16 games this year, I’d personally refer one to detox.
JMO, but we DROPPED THE BALL each of the last 2 Drafts in not taking an O-Lineman earlier than we had. The Carroo trade-up of last year STILL has me SMH, DAMMIT.
Tunsil
Agreed, and he’s going to offset the loss of Branden Albert. The net gain on our O-Line is what I’m talking about, Brother.
Nice try😁
I don’t think kap would be signed to the fins with his remarks concerning the castro thing.
And that is a real good point I hadn’t thought of. Right now Kaep might be thinking about a bridge burned.
Well that sucks
For sure it does……but remember what happened when Chad Pennington rolled into town?
M13, you can’t blame the team because of injuries. Every teams suffers them.
We’re very thin at key positions on the O-Line. Larsen was to be an answer, or key cog. His injury now puts us in disarray.
I wouldn’t say disarray and no team can build their roster based on what if. We had other positions to address as well. You can’t be stocked at every position and even if you did more no guarantee they’re the answer. Injuries suck!
I’ve been dealing with bad knees for years now. It sucks. My left knee flared up about four months ago and I had to wear a brace for golf, basketball, etc. Couldn’t actually run or do much anything, but I was going crazy and tried to play on it anyway. With or without the brace my knee would hyperextend all the time. It was very painful and scary every time it happened. My OPS said it was because the muscles and supporting structures were still inflammed and weak so the knee wasn’t as stable as it needed to be.
I stopped using the brace because my right knee was flaring up from the extra work and amazingly my left knee healed up within a week. Some of it was coincidence, but I really felt like the brace slowed the healing process up. I think it’s hard to build strength back as long as you wear it.
No idea what will happen with Tanny, but I’d wager this isn’t the last time he’ll hyperextend it while playing. Hopefully, it continues to heal and this isn’t an issue next season.
Mike,
I wouldn’t expect Asiata to play like a pro bowler this season, but I think he will be solid if they decide to start him. He really excels at pulling and running power schemes so hopefully they take advantage of that. He will struggle in pass protection at times, but I don’t think it will be much worse than what we are used to from the LG spot.
Thanks drg – Appreciate your first hand insight on that.
Honestly, I don’t really care much about the things Kaepernick has said, I don’t think he’s a very intelligent person. If he can help our teams win football games, that’s where my interests starts and ends. His political views don’t mean squat to me. He’s not a bad person, hasn’t beat up his wife, abused anyone. There are plenty of those in the NFL. He’s said and questionable things, but he’s not a terrible person.
Pro Castro in Miami?
Those things have a way of getting swept away when the player actually gets here and helps the team.
It would be awkward
There are very few places where it wouldn’t be a circus
I think from a football point of view it makes sense, but I really don’t want to spend the season arguing about Kaep
Right now, nothing is getting done, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it were found that Tannehill would miss significant time that the Dolphins would be in touch with Kaep’s agent.
Not too many people like Castro in South Florida. Remember this town has a large population of cubans who had their land and business’ taken away by Fidel’s regime. He would probably have security detail protecting him.
Piggy
What’s the difference who we argue over? If not Kaep, it will be Tanny or Moore, right?
It’s just a headache
I’m not looking forward to more contraversy
I agree the media circus would be annoying, but I would guess that would die down eventually.
ESPN just reported that Miami is very worried about the knee and more than likely will bring in another qb, oswieler-cutler or kaep
Houston gave a 2nd rnder to cleve for taking oswieler of their books, if they trade him to miami you can expect they will get another pick. the word is cleve likes oswieler and gase has history with him
The Flying Pig says:
August 3, 2017 at 6:43 pm
What’s your problem with socks?
————-_———————-_——-
It’s not socks that I have a problem with…..
Don’t say it’s pigkind?
I would just as soon go with Moore. He has earned the opportunity. Kaepernick would destroy the team first mentality that Gase has brought. iF they were going to bring in another QB, make it Cutler. But if they bring in someone to be starter they may as well cut Moore, because they are saying he isn’t good enough.
Forget Kaepernick, you think Moore deserves to be the unquestioned starter without competition other than Brandon Doughty?
I do!
Moore is next man up. Any other QB would be the backup.
That’s a very unfinished statement. Any other backup would be his backup, but bring in a starting caliber QB, and I think saying that is silly, especially long term. Moore has a leg up, and knows the offense, but a starting caliber QB would be given a chance to show what he can do, especially if the Dolphins struggle early.
Moore gets first shot at it is all I’m saying. I’m not a fan of Kaepernick and he started out behind Gabbert last year. I understand Cutler knows the system but he may have moved on. So who else is an available starting QB?
You know we get all amped up for the team each year and friggin injuries can really take the wind out of the sails of potential. I’m really tired of it. 😦

I think you have to do whatever you can to be the best team you can be, especially at the QB position. If there’s a player available that might be better than you’re backup, you have to explore that, especially when the whole season has yet to be played.
Look at the Vikings last year. They had Case Keenum, a QB similar to Matt Moore’s ability, and the Vikes made a bold trade because they felt like they were a playoff team, and didn’t want to squander it away. I feel the same way about our team.
Not only that, but if Moore is the starter, and he goes down, the season hangs on Brandon Doughty? Can’t see that. Have to try and get something done. It doesn’t have to be Kaepernick, maybe a trade.
Then there is that intangible of right fit that teams talk about all the time. The locker room is important.
It is, but winning is important too
Mike E. – I think if Doughty was out playing Moore, he would already be the number two QB. And I would be fine with that. This coaching staff has shown they are willing to play the best player at any position. It is a meritocracy.
Right, but Doughty isn’t going to outplay Moore, but I’d sure as hell be looking to find someone who can!
At the cost of your team chemistry and philosophy? And I don’t think Kaepernick is better than Moore.
I am more concerned with the OL, STILL.
I’m very concerned about BOTH
Mike, none of what we discuss here will decide what the team does anyway so we’re about to go around in circles like we all often do. LOL
We’ll see what the diagnosis on Tannehill is and the next course of action the team takes.
That’s a fact, but it’s what we do as bloggers. lol
I know I said that, but we’re heading for round and round already with speculations.
Phelon
I’m not limiting my scope to Kaepernick. I’d explore any and every avenue that can lead us to an upgrade at QB, whether it’s a trade, or a free agent. Let’s say we traded for Alex Smith? That may not even be a possibility, unless KC really loves Mahomes. This team is a playoff team, but I’m not sure we are with Matt Moore at QB.
Moore would be a starter on probably half the teams in the NFL.
I don’t think so. I’d have to go look at every team, but if there were more than 10, I’d be surprised.
Moore is a backup but he can play especially with good talent around him. I do think there are 6 or so teams he can start for right now and 2 of them are in our division

WHAT??? Case Keenum was playing for the Rams last year, not the Vikings. Perhaps you’re thinking of Sam Bradford, the former R1P1 QB in the 2010 Draft, after Teddy Bridgewater went down?
His bold trade comment was Bradford. He had Keenum wrong.
NO $#!T!!! LOL 🙂
No need to panic Moore is capable. Just get some depth until Tannehill is healthy again. I don’t see anyone like a Sam Bradford type being available this year and Moore is much better than Case Keenum
NO disagreements from me that Matt Moore is better than Kid Keenum. But if it COMES to it, Keenum would serve as an excellent backup to Moore.
Agree Keenum would be a good backup to Moore
I would not trade for anyone at this point. That’s for sure.
I agree. I would sign Kaep before trading for somebody who is only a patch and likely not better than Moore
Disagreed. Sign a FA QB on the cheap to backup Moore.
You can get Kaep on the cheap right now he has no offers to date
Kaep to back up Moore

THAT’S what I’m talking about. Disregard my 9:10 PM comment to you above. We want a relatively cheap, yet decent QB to backup Moore… IF it even comes down to it.
We’ve got a new problem on the O-Line with Larsen getting injured, and we also would like to roll over as much money as possible to re-sign Jarvis Landry next year!!!
We MUST have “3-D” vision to win not just this year, but for next year and beyond.
Agree with not wanting to waste money especially on a second tier QB. Not so worried about OL. I am high on Asiata but we need depth
As for the OL, we still have Urbik who is currently the starting center until Pouncey is ready (fingers crossed), Steen and Asiata to be LG options. Larsen was a nice versatile player but not the key to our OL – Pouncey, Tunsil, James…
To me Pouncey is the key to the OL. If he is healthy and we can play our 2 OTs at their natural positions we will find options at OG
Ditto!
We can bring back Albert at OG. The trade was deemed void so no one has rights to him
I think he’s decided his body isn’t up to it anymore.
Probably but don’t be shocked if he gives it a go in Miami
oh, by the way, nice article Mike E. I enjoyed reading it.
The OL situation.

I think that is quite an exaggeration Phelon. Moore is a good backup. But I think there may be 5-6 teams he would start on. If there were more….well, he would be making big bucks (QB Bucks) as a starter.
Exactly but at the same time I am confident he can play well for us
Teams keep drafting young QBs and a lot of them aren’t any good. Moore knows at this stage in his career and it’s been like this his entire career, teams will always try to replace him, not commit to him. He likes it in Miami and it’s a unique and cool situation for us.
Ken, you can’t assume Keep is cheap, because he doesn’t have any offers. I heard he’s still looking for starter money.
Kaep
And my college dropout friend is still holding out for a management position. Kaep is going to have accept that he is not getting starting money until he shows that he can earn it.
Maybe that’s another reason he’s unemployed as some try to make it about race which is ridiculous.
You dont know that. Some guys don’t want to put their body through the rigger of the NFL for peanuts.
I’m saying what teams would be willing to pay him, not what he wants. He has a right not to play for peanuts. I’ve made that point many times about other players. But he needs a team first. The NFL will survive without him.
Turning for the evening. Peace
Believe the hype, lol.
