1-0 baby! The Dolphins started the season at home against the Titans, in one of the most bizarre and easily the most lengthy football games in the history of the sport. 7 hours, and 10 minutes. Wow! Lightning strikes in the vicinity of Hard Rock caused a couple of weather delays which put the total game time from start to finish at 7:10, which is the longest game in NFL history.
The good thing is that the Dolphins team remained focused on the task at hand, winning the game, and I would give some credit to Head Coach Adam Gase for keeping his team prepared, and to GM Chris Grier and VP Mike Tannenbaum for shedding the roster of the “ME” players and building a team of players who share a common goal, helping each other make the Dolphins a winning team.
The Dolphins had a nice balance on offense, Kenyan Drake getting the most touches as expected, and it was especially nice to see Frank Gore come in and spark the offense. He looks fresh, especially for a veteran RB with 13 NFL seasons under his belt, and over 3200 carries. I think it’s a great tandem, they complement each other very well. The O-line did their job well, and both backs were able to move the ball.
Ryan Tannehill looked very good in the game, but a couple of poor throws somewhat derailed his fine effort. I really thought the throw in the end zone to Gesicki, whether Mike slipped or not, was too flat, not enough arc, and also just thrown too close to the defender. Make that throw more towards the sideline, and deeper towards the back of the endzone with more arc, and there’s very little chance if any that it gets picked off. The other was either an overthrow or a miscommunication with Jakeem Grant, and without certainty as to which, I can’t blame Tannehill on that one. The play-action TD pass to Kenny Stills was a beauty, great protection, and a very accurate strike for the TD. Take away the end zone miscue to Gesicki or the other INT intended for Grant, and Tannehill has done exactly what I would hope he could do.
The Titans after the injury to starting QB Marcus Mariota were not the same team, but the injuries to starting OT’s Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin, LT and RT respectively is really what killed the Titans. Those 2 are aggressive, mean and nasty run blockers, and the Dolphins limited the run game, especially when big back Derrick Henry was in, to 26 yards on 10 carries. Dion Lewis, who is quicker and shiftier had more success, rushing for 75 yards on 16 carries.
On defense, the first thing I noticed right away, was Minkah Fitzpatrick. He didn’t do one spectacular thing on Sunday, but damn if he wasn’t always around the ball. You just can’t teach what he has, that desire to digest football knowledge, study film to learn players and teams tendencies, and the desire to work in the weight room to become the best player he can be. Minkah had that before he got here, but he’s ours man, and I’m thrilled we have him. He was in on 6 tackles, but despite that, he just seemed to be so involved in the game, and he was out there a lot. If anyone has snap counts, I’d love to know how many, as well as for the D-line. The frequent rotation worked as well as I could have hoped, and the youngins Godchaux and Taylor look like all the world to have been brilliant draft picks. You just don’t expect a 5th and 6th RD defensive tackle to give you what Godchaux and Taylor are giving us. Think of how absurd it is to pay a player over $20M to do what these guys are giving us! Talk about value, it’s insane! The LB’s weren’t asked to do everything, as we saw 3 safeties out there often enough. Kiko led the team with 6 solo tackles, and both Raekwon McMillan and Jerome Baker had 3 solos and 3 assists. Very possible this type of thing plays out the entire season.
The Jets come off a very successful road win against the Detroit Lions. They banged up QB Matthew Stafford pretty good, and the battered QB threw 1 TD and 4 INT’s. While Matthew Stafford hurt his team, the Jets rookie QB did the opposite. Sam Darnold played a very solid game, despite throwing an INT on his very first pass attempt. The rookie bounced back well however, and helped lead his team to an impressive 48-17 drubbing of the Lions. He had a nice balanced rushing attack with Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell with a 1-1A type approach. Crowell finished with 102 yards on 10 carries and 2 TD’s and Powell had 12 carries for 60 yards. Quincy Enunwa has resumed his spot as the go-to-guy of the offense, after being out with an injury last year. Robbie Anderson remains the big play danger, he’s like our version of Kenny Stills, except of course Anderson threatens police officers with vulgar things he will do to their wives, but on the gridiron, they are similar threats.
Dolphins vs Jets are always crazy games, as last year’s Fest game was evidence of such. The Dolphins pulled out a last minute victory when Bobby McCain intercepted Josh McCown with 47 seconds remaining in the game, allowing Cody Parkey to kick the game winning 39 yard F to win it 31-28. What a FEST-ivious win! There will not be a MetLife Takeover Fest this time, but hopefully the NYC Dolfans contingency will be sufficient to help our boys complete another successful takeover that ends with a Dolphins victory.
If the Dolphins can continue their success rushing the football with Drake and Gore, and keep the pocket clean for Tannehill, we should be able to score against the Jets. Devante Parker should be back, but I just can’t count on him to be a big role player, so I won’t. We have enough weapons with Stills, Amendola, Wilson and the 2 backs, and anything we can get from Gesicki and Parker is just gravy. On defense, just limit Bilal Powell. Crowell doesn’t scare me, but Powell just rips off those big plays, so we need to keep him in check. Darnold probably won’t be shaken, we should treat him like any QB, not expose ourselves with a ton of blitzes. I think if we do that, he might make us pay, so just stay disciplined, keep using the 3 safeties often, and I think we can beat them. Don’t let Anderson get behind the secondary.

Oh man the Giants lost their center for the season.
—————————————————–
Jon Halapio, a player from UF that i had wanted us to take in a later round in his draft year.
Yep and they had issues on the OL with him. They can’t block to allow their skill players to make plays.
I feel bad for him, i have talked to him a few times via twitter. He’s a really nice dude with a couple young children and he has really fought to stay in the league and make his way into a starting lineup. Things were really starting to look up for him. He graded out rally well in their first game, allowing no sacks or pressures. So i feel bad for him.
A few plays i just really hated. That sweep play to Drake without setting up the play. They would be much better running that play after a lot of direct hand-offs to Gore and then putting them both in the backfield and faking the hand-off then turning to pitch to Drake. Either way with the speed on most defenses now days, sweeps have to be really well set up to be successful, and usually have some sort of trickery to them. Thats why most people do jets sweeps with a receiver these days and no loner do true sweeps to a RB.
The other play i hate was the 3rd and 1 shotgun formation pass play, when we could have easily picked that up with Gore on a power dive or at least a delayed draw if you wanted to make them think pass on 3rd. Those naked shotgun formation on 3rd and short really frustrate me.
There were a few other plays i wasnt really happy with, just bad calls imo, but those two really sucked.
I was surprised how often the Jets went empty backfield which allows Wake and Quinn to pin their ears back even though they did block them pretty well.
They chipped them on most plays and they DT’ed both of them on the line most plays too, They definitely game planned for our pass rush, which i think is part of the reason their offense seemed to not have as much potency to it that maybe it had against Detroit. We shut down Crowell, and we forced them to commit players to stop our pass rush. That really put a ton on the shoulders of Darnold and despite him looking pretty good, he just isnt ready to take on that much of a load to carry.
Agreed, good points.
Wow didn’t realize Barkley caught 14 passes last night. That’s not ideal and definitely shows there were too many check downs due to the lack of pass pro. Only 5.7 YPCA.
Gotta keep racking up these AFC wins while we can. You definitely can’t take any team in the NFL lightly, but you can look at a team and the situation and say that we should come out with a victory, not an easy victory, but a victory nonetheless.
The way the DT’s have played so far has me jacked. I love seeing these guys involved, and I know it’s only 2 games, but the rotation seems to be really working. It seems like each and every DT is making plays out there, it’s awesome.
Agreed! They’re all really active.
Yep Kong as I illustrated in my game recap piece…
“”””On one occassion he was running for his life as the DE climbed on to his back to take him down akwardly with the entirety of #17’s own weight as well as the defenders girth (to total 500-plus pounds) all being supported by THills repaired left knee. With a knock, knock on the forehead, that knee is as stable as any in the league.”””‘
GOFINS!!!
Told ya! 😦
Yes… you did!

As I was saying last night, the G-Men’s O-Line is BAD. They can’t protect Eli, and they aren’t doing much in the way of helping Saquon.
THAT is what led to a certain commentator questioning why the G-Men would take Saquon @ R1P2 when there’s no benefit to either the passing or running game.
And now with the loss of their starting Center (as you noted above), they are in even deeper trouble.
The conversation on WFAN is all about the Giants OL issues. Mike Francesa just had former Giants OL David Diehl on to discuss what can be done. Basically he said everyone has to man up. Easier said then done.
So the Browns will be looking for a WR, as projected…
I wonder how much it would cost to get Bill Belichick to leave Boston and become our GM???????
You bring a Gordon and I’ll trump you with a
LOL, hehehe, you said TRUMP, uhhuhhehe *Beavis & Butthead laughter* 😀
some of the comments are funny as heck.
Just checking in here.
We are still undefeated correct?
Well OK???????
Victory Monday!!!
WInning is fun.
Tim,
I don’t think Tannehill has ever been effective at evading sacks in the pocket, but agree he definitely has lost a step. He was caught from behind on a couple of scrambles where he would have outrun them in the past. His pocket presence has definitely improved, but still not a strength. Solid game from him though. I’d take that every time. Jets D looked tough to me. Titans have a good D, too. If our defense can keep this up, I like our chances.
Yep!
I love the fact that yesterday there was no pointing or crying on the side line!
The defense got a turnover. the Offence said thanks and punched it in for a score!
The Offence turned it over. The defense said we got your back! Boom INT/Punt!
Mike,
Love our DTs. They’re just doing their jobs and making a few big plays. LBs have been relatively clean in the run game. I was wrong about Quinn. Great pickup and big upgrade so far. Minkah is such a big addition to the defense. He fills in so many holes that we had last year.
We put Minkah on whatever receiver we feel is the best matchup. Like you said, he really adds a dimension we haven’t had in the past.
On the pressures and sacks on Tanny.
You could tell by the 2 holding calls that the jets got they were jamming the receivers hard when they Blitzed!
That took away the hot read and cause Tanny to bring the ball back down!
Should he have thrown it away? HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I’ll give the defene a little credit!
3 things I think…
1) SO LONG as Bobby McCain gets exploited on the outside for his lack of size — and with Cordrea Tankersley progressing in the wrong direction — it might be wise to play Minkah opposite Xavien Howard. McCain is a VERY good nickel. And AGAIN… if we want a sizable, experienced boundary CB who excels in zone coverage, bring David Amerson in for a mere visit to kick his tires. If he’s finally healthy, he’ll only be worth vet min $$$.
2) KIKO HATERS… EAT IT! Now that Kiko can play outside without having to babysit our MIKE, he’s EATING again. However, that comes with a qualm: Raekwon seems to be a liability in coverage, and that’s nothing new, dating back to his days at Ohio State. We’ll see how Raekwon progresses in coverage.
3) TOO MANY people on this site aren’t taking Old Dolfan’s stance on our O-Line seriously… as if he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and I find it to be shameful. We had played ONE mere game (against the Titans), and lost our starting LG Josh Sitton for the season. Ted Larson can’t even hold Sitton’s jockstrap, yet some think ALL IS WELL with Larson replacing Sitton. Welp, we’ve got 14 more games to play, our O-Line depth is already being tested, and you’d better PRAY that another one of our O-Line starters doesn’t go down for any length of time (hate to say it, but it’s GOING TO HAPPEN). Will the cut Issac Asiata (now on the P/S) SAVE our O-Line?
3) TOO MANY people on this site aren’t taking Old Dolfan’s stance on our O-Line seriously…
——————————————-
I take it seriously and agree
But repeating yourself continuously is not productive.
IMHO of course
Well Will Hernandez is playing awful for the Giants and you and OD think just drafting this OL or that one is the answer. Young OL struggle in this league. When we allow sacks it’s our OL and when we get sacks it’s our DL are nice. Other teams have good defensive players as well. Lots of teams have OL issues. I don’t think our OL is playing poorly, but they could be better. How many Ol do you think you can have?
Also this comment: “TOO MANY people on this site aren’t taking Old Dolfan’s stance on our O-Line seriously… as if he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and I find it to be shameful.” is disrespectful to whoever you’re talking about. You keep acting like only you two have concerns about the OL and the rest of us think we’re great and I don’t know of one person on this site says this. FYI, we have no control over our personnel, we can only root for who we have at every position.
Do you ever watch other teams O-lines? Lots of them have OL issues. You two act like it’s so easy and when there are issues on the OL we read stuff like Duffuss Brigade and shit like that. The team is 9-1 with Tannehill at QB the last 10 games he’s played so maybe we can try to enjoy that and not mock the owner, coaches and management at every turn.
Too many flaws in your response, man. I GET IT that you don’t care for Old Dolfan, but don’t try to turn the disrespect that comes his way as an argument of disrespect for his haters… I didn’t do that AT ALL, and you know it.
I’m happy (I think?) that you agree with my first 2 points… being you had nothing to say about them…
Yeah okay that’s what it is.
Browns signed Greg Joseph. If you watched the highlights of their last game you know why. And if you watched him in preseason you know why it was him.
M – Kiko is out and out balling so far. I’m not a Kiko fan when it comes to coverage, because I think that’s weakness for him, but he’s been playing very well this season
He’s been flying around making plays.
He had one mental fart in coverage this last game and he was part of a trio that could be accountable for another one. Its not he doesnt have the physical skills and speed to cover, he just doesnt read plays very well. He is a good read react LB but he cant pre-snap red and he is slow to diagnose after the snap too.
You arent going to find too many LB’s with his size that also have his speed.
Tanny absolutely needs to get better protecting the ball. That one strip sack almost had me brining out old school anger towards him. Had to pull out the goosfraba chant to keep from losing it.
Tim Knight says:

Yeah okay that’s what it is.
—————-
Is Old Dolfan NOT entitled to his opinion? And even if it differs from a PACK MENTALITY, does that make it lesser a voice?
I’m sorry if you think I’m defending him, JUST because he and I have a similar approach to football… and ONLY that he’s patted my back, and vice-versa. ORob, too, has a VERY similar approach. And he, too, gets CRAPPED on here.
It’s about freedom of EXPRESSION and INDIVIDUAL thought that once made “The Mob” at the SS the ultimate think-tank! The pros, the cons, the love, the hate, and everything in between.
I don’t enjoy freedom of expression and individual thought getting shouted down… IE: Old Dolfan and ORob. Yes, I get that their ideas can get redundant (as Wyoming stated above), but they have points… even if disagreed upon by none, some, or everyone.
And Tim, we are NOT getting into an argument here, Bro. I’m simply stating that it’s alright to have a different perspective from others! As such, I have MUCH respect to all here who comment on football. It keeps me HONEST, when I think I see something that is too high or too low in the game we all love.
IF we want to grow this site, it would be WISE to stop crapping on others, when one disagrees with another.
You accused people of what they think and that they are disrespectful to OD. You could of chosen a much better way of saying what you did. Just because I don’t agree with OD on everything he says – you know freedom of expression – doesn’t mean I don’t care for him. Another assumption by you.
Everyone here agrees and disagrees all the time on different things.
Armando has a phrase, which is at least recent: Who catches TDs in the redzone?!!
M13 has a phrase, since the time I started blogging: It’s OKAY to disagree!!!
So when certain people disagree it’s crapping on people. When certain others do it, it’s freedom of expression and it’s okay to disagree? Not sure who makes up those rules.
PC CULTURE… and you’re playing right along with it right now.
I have no idea what you’re talking about. Way to make a comment in defense of someone then crap on others “me” about it. You sound like Hillary Clinton now. Geez!
I am just enjoying the hell out of all these wins the Dolphins have had in the last 10 games with Tannehill at QB. It makes last season seem like just a bad nightmare we just woke up from, and we are continuing where we left off in 2016 when he was healthy. Of course there have been a couple of personnel changes obviously, but this has been a nice stretch.
LOL…. it’s like Peggy Sue Got Married and we woke up to how thing were supposed to be. 🙂

———–
You’re taking the low-ground, now. I did not “ACCUSE” people, I DEFENDED (and WITHOUT accusations!) Old Dolfan from those who ACCUSED HIM of being so-called stupid, foolish, stubborn, an “old man”… need I go on?
Guy, I think you’re toying with me at his point. Read my post above.
I wonder if the Brownies would trade Joel Bitonio for Parker straight up?
That’s called offering a solution.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. And it’s not disrespectful to say it.
Our oline was addressed. We started the season with 5 quality starters and a couple of quality backups. We were unlucky to lose one of our starters game one, but that doesn’t mean the oline wasn’t addressed this offseason.
No team has 8, 9, or 10 starting quality olinemen. If I’m incorrect about that, point that team out to me. A lot of teams out there don’t even have 5 good quality olinemen, and often have to give help to a sub-par player. Our oline so far has produced and withstood a major injury. What more should we have done this offseason? How many teams can sustain multiple injuries to their oline and be ok?
I made this point before, and have yet to hear a valid rebuttal. Where is the NFL team with 8 starting olinemen on the roster?
I think OD has an extreme bias against this front office and it clouds his judgment (and he may have good cause, I don’t judge that because I’m not in his shoes). More power to him, but I don’t see anything wrong with disputing his point. If most of the blog disagrees, should everybody keep their opinion to themselves so it doesn’t feel like piling on? I don’t understand that.
I like your post here, CavKong. At least you didn’t try to make a snide remark about someone who disagrees with your point. And I would never make a snide remark about your point, either.
I honestly can’t think of a single thing ever that the whole blog agreed on in total at the same time, lol.
Pot Calling the Kettle Black. Way to take a Monday win day with good convos into this shit. I’m not sure you even read what you say. You make these accusations then back track and make it about something else when called out on it. Not sure what your agenda is here.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Tim likes to FUCK WITH ME, just for the FUCK of it! LOL
I’m sorry… but in all honesty, I’m not liking our O-Line situation right now, only 2 games into this season. Did I inadvertently ‘crucify’ or name-call anyone here? Did I intentionally attempt to assassinate someone’s penguin? Did I “ACCUSE” anyone of being a stupid, dumb fart? Am I WRONG to stick up for fellow bloggers here, who feel the same way I feel about our Miami Dolphins moving forward? “OH MY”!!! LMAO 😆
Who said these things? You’re using broad strokes and cryptic accusations towards someone then saying you’re not. If you seriously don’t see that you’re contradicting yourself then there is no point in continuing the conversation.
Ya, you pretty much kicked the door in and told everyone to STFU and listen to me! 😉
Josh Gordon = either Randy Moss 2.0….. or a conditional draft choice that never has to be given.
lol, perfectly put.
My money is on Gordon being on the street and facing a lifetime ban within 6 games.
Please let this happen. Please let this happen.
M – in regards to your 3 “points”:
1. What is your comment on McCain based on besides your obsession with Amerson? McCain has been anything but a weakness in pass defense through two games. He has 6 tackles and 3 passes defenses. I don’t know what opposing QB QBR is against him, but it cannot be very good. Amerson sucks. That’s why he keeps getting cut and he is not on a team. Even just passable CB get signed in the NFL
2. I agree Kiko has always been better than his detractors here thought.
3. I don’t take anything OD says about the team composition seriously, because his commentary is always negative and based on and digresses to either the halcyon days of 1972 or his irrational dislike of Miami’s management, to include coaching. When every diatribe and opinion is accompanied by sophomoric name calling (doofus brigade, Garse, etc) and fond memories of the good old days, I tend to make fun of them. ORob at least makes up fantastical statistical methodology to support his opinion.
If one throws out unsupported, emotional statements, one should expect to be lampooned for them.
LOL @ fantastical statistical methodology
LMAO @ “fantastical statistical methodology”
Take all first downs and remove any that are above 10 yards, divide the yardage on carries in the last half of the game by 2, or if Gore multiply by 4. Mod the yardage achieved by the gap number (G) that the back ran through, plus one to account for 0 gap. If Venus is in the 6th house and a touchdown is scored then multiply by the number of grass blades still stuck in their helmet when they score, for turf fields, the number of skid mark left on the elbow pad of his right arm.
You forgot to calculate variance.
I think we still had a spot open.

And, for the record, I agree with the Damn Dirty Ape. Miami did address the OL and did as well as they could. I’ll re-phrase the question that I posed yesterday. My “AGENDA”???
START TREATING YOUR FELLOW BLOGGERS WITH RESPECT!!! People are NOT ALWAYS going to agree with you, alright? Learn the lesson… and I thought that YOU were the one who taught me that lesson, my Bigger Brother. SMH
I had made 3 points on our Phins… but you ONLY spoke to my third point — upon my agreement with Old Dolfan on the O-Line — ALL about Old Dolfan and me (“sitting in a tree… K.I.S.S.I.N.G”)… KNOCK IT OFF.
Look… I’m a GENERAL, as in, ALWAYS trying to make our team better. And I’m willing to bet that ADAM GASE is the same type of person. He’s NOT going to be a fanboy, resting at 2-0. Sorry I didn’t post more fanboy propaganda at 2-0, rather, I’m TRYING to get our team ever better, just as Adam Gase is doing as we speak/type.
No, I do NOT agree with everything Old Dolfan posts… but has ANYONE seen me attack him for his opinion? NEVER. It’s called RESPECT, freedom of speech, and I don’t need to diss any and everyone who doesn’t see the world that I see as fit.
Look, if you and I can’t talk seriously about our O-Line without your obvious HATRED of Old Dolfan, I’m wasting my breathe/fingers with you, and EVERYBODY else who has piled on Old Dolfan… MAKE PEACE.
I TOLD ya about the G-Men and Bills’ O-Lines! You’d made a snide comment last night about it, yet you NOW suddenly have changed your tune, since listening to Mike Francesca this morning. Hmmmm.
Time to start LISTENING, instead of TALKING… “ACCUSATION” statements. SMH
I won’t and can’t speak for Mr. Stanger, but I’m sure he doesn’t like the venom between you and Old Dolfan. And for the love of GOD… I love ya, Tim. It’s ALRIGHT to disagree, dammit! 🙂
Fuck me…I had to go back and re-read the original posts to see where Tim said you and OD were kissing in a tree! He didn’t.
OD doesn’t get crapped on. He gets called out occasionally for his incessant negativity for anything that has gone on after 1995. And I also replied to your 3 points post.
^ Lots of BS here that has nothing to do with its okay to disagree.
You still haven’t pointed out the comments you’re referring to. You just keep making cryptic accusations. Details please!
You also didn’t tell me shit about the Giants OL. It’s been an issue for 3 years at least and every Giants fan talks about it constantly. So do the Jets fans and their OL. So do fans of many other teams about their O-lines.
The reason it was a topic today on Francesa’s show is because of last nights game and how bad they were allowing 6 sacks and no room for Barkley to run.
OD also calls people out with insults from time to incase you haven’t noticed. Individuals calling him out is not piling on, it’s each person’s freedom of expression just as it yours and his. But somehow only a few people are allowed to that in your world.
Our OL is definitely better than it has been but the loss of Sitton is significant and was noticeable yesterday. I saw the Jets get a lot of interior pressure going through Larsen yesterday. You didn’t see that week 1
That’s true, but it can also be attributed to the biplanes being better on the interior than TN. 2 games is maybe to soon to make a definitive call. Let’s see where we are after game 4.
I think we should be taking a close look at other teams’ practice squads and the waiver wire to see if there is any OL depth out there as I am not thrilled with Larsen
I’m sure they are
Phelon,
I know about half about you as I need to know… and that is to the POSITIVE, SIR. Our football opinions will differ, but that doesn’t make us.
Brother, have you made contact in any way with Top Secret? Last I’d heard, he suffered a stroke. I pray he’s well.
What’s to know about me? I’m a dick as often as not. I like to fuck with people for fun. I like sarcasm. I can be cruel and unsympathetic. I’m a Pisces and like the color blue.
T S and I spoke after his stroke, but that was a year or more ago.
Well there is this!
Keep it up!
No Suh encroachment calls
Disciplined football, thats was number 1 fix it thing from last year.
I believe we should adopt this as the official proof/fantastical statistical methodology, for future discussion about Drake and Gore.

I wonder if the Brownies would trade Joel Bitonio for Parker straight up?
Doubtful. Starting caliber OL > almost any other position. A lot easier to find a guy who can help you as a receiver than lose a guy on your OL. I had made this comment back when Sitton was declared out for the year. Mike had brought up the idea of Bitonio, and this is pretty much what i said before. We might could get a draft pick from the browns and use it for a OL replacement next year, but no team is going to give up a starting OL without some ridiculous compensation.
Cool I was just throwing shit at the wall to see if it would stick!
Even as pathetic as the Browns are they are not that dumb
hey guys
I was wondering if you can direct me to a good dolphin blog which functions like a soap opera?
I am sure we are not unique in that regard
Absolutely not. We are actually very mild compared to most any “blogosphere” of any subject matter.
General Aquatic Mammal Recovery Center is a pretty good soap.
Or you might like “These are the Flippers of Your Life.”
My best advice is come to a Fest and see how different it is. No problems at all…. unless the Phins are down and Ken goes all Hulk. 🙂
Hulk love fest 💚
Soooo, there was a snake in the ladies room at work today. How was your Monday?
Cool. What kind of snake?
Too many puns come to mind. I am a bad man
Well——ah—–ya—–Nope I’m not going anywhere near that one! 😉
Something wrong with you guys. It’s West Virginia. They have Timber Rattlers, Canebreaks, Garter Snakes, Black Racers, Ray Snakes, etc. in addition to being Pisces and liking the color blue, I like snakes.
Rat, not Ray. Although Ray may a snake too.
Yes there is definitely something wrong with me
If not Joel Bitonio for Parker then how about Austin Corbett ?
Selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.
At a Glance:
Didn’t allow a sack in conference play as a senior in 2017.
Finished his collegiate career with 48 consecutive starts.
Is he one of their depth players? (sorry im being lazy and didnt look it up)
I don’t see that happening
I have been on both sides of stuff like this and have been working very hard to stay out of it recently.
When you have an opinion that has opposition to it, you will find yourself in a situation to where others will disagree. When you represent that option as vehemently as some of us do, the rebuttal will come with the same force, or at least you should expect that. We jab at each other and then we find ourselves punching and then we are lobbing wild hay makers and we have completely forgotten has silly and small the argument started as.
OD opens himself up for some things because he expresses his opinions as absolutes and while i think you are correct in his opinions having equal weight and equal importance to anyone else, he would have to operate as differently to be off limits to strong opposing conjecture. Stanger as a for example, is a person whom i would be requite to stand up for if i saw him attacked on here, simply because he doesnt do any attacking. He operates as one should to avoid anyone directing aggressive rebuttal to his comments.
In simpler terms, OD reaps what he sows and personally i think he knows it too and takes less offense to Tim’s disagreement than you did. I have seen OD throw down with the rest of us. He is a good guy and he likes spirited posting. He takes shots at others. He is not innocent standing by and getting picked on, he isnt meek and he isnt a bombastic asshole. He is just one of the bloggers here doing what we do, which sometimes gets heated up and spills out and two people wind up losing their cool over shit that doesnt matter inthe grand scheme of things.
M13, i know ya felt like ya needed to defend him, and you did what ya thought you should, but i didn’t see anything here that was reprehensible towards OD.
Are you saying Stanger is passive aggressive? That’s just mean
No he is aggressively passive.
Well that’s okay then.
Agreed.
Who trades starting OL?
People who are out of the playoff hunt by trade deadline lol. Someone who has a finger hovering over the reboot button.
The Giants would probably trade Erik Flowers if they could but nobody will take him
Yeah that dude sucks. Horrible feet, no power. Really bad.
Let me rephrase, quality OL. LOL
Somebody in need of a WR with a good back-up?

Hell I’ll throw in Andre Branch!
He’s pissed me off for 2 weeks now!
Now we’re talking
Was this the snake in your restroom?
Ghey snake?
Is that the kind that only strike if your back is turned to them?
Not that there is anything wrong with that
I don’t know what is more disturbing that video or the fact that you would know where to find a video like that
LMAO, long story but the short of it is i found this video when i was trying to describe what one of my bosses is.
It must be an interesting work environment

Cool. What kind of snake?
I have no idea. There was some controversy about what exactly it was. The facilities guy says, ‘ it’s not poisonous’ and ‘it probably got in under the door rather than through the pipes’. Like that makes it better in some way?!?!?
Uh, nope.
Lol….Well it came thru the pipes, there is always the chance of being bit in the ass.
Id have been like choke on this shit snake! ….literally! Pretty sure even snakes dont want to get defecated on. Not to mention i dont kniow how you dont lose your bowels if your sitting there enjoying a nice poop and next thing you feel is the tickle of a tiny tongue.
I didn’t go in there all day! 😳
I once saw a wee little ring neck snake clear a laundromat mat in Oviedo, Fl. Had no trouble finding a dryer after that.
Speaking shitty O-lines!
I wonder if Wilson makes it to the end of the game tonight????????
There’s good news for former FAU place kicker Greg Joseph. He’s now a starting kicker in the NFL! — THE BAD NEWS is he’s kicking for the Cleveland Browns!!! – – Oh well, at least he’s not in the armpit of football, BUFFALO!!
—————–
HAS BELICHEAT out foxed the NFL again?? Some may say he has by trading a 5th round pick for talented but troubled Josh Gordon. However, I believe the Big Cheater will regret getting this guy. Gordon simply can’t stay out of trouble for very long. Is this franchise a bit rattled after losing to Jacksonville??
—————-
I AGREE with JAHNDOH that the Raiders at Dolphins game should be close. In fact, if Oakland still had Khalil Mack, I’d pick them to defeat Miami this coming Sunday. Mack, IMHO, is the most dominant linebacker in the NFL right now. Did da’ BEARS pay too much in terms of salary and draft picks to get him? Fin fans can form their own conclusions when Chicago plays at Miami THE WEEK BEFORE THE FEST! ALSO, CHICAGO plays tonight at 8:15 on ESPN. Keep an eye on Khalil Mack.
—————
Hey SON OF A SON. I WON’T be able to attend the FAU at UCF nationally televised game this Friday night because of my job. That I-4 traffic from Tampa to Orlando has become unbelievable! –The last time I drove from Tampa to Orlando (about 100 miles to the UCF campus), it took me over 3 hours! –It’s probably just as well because FAU’s defense has been horrible so far this season. FAU’s Devin Singletary (who scored 33 TD’s last season) already has 7 through 3 games this year. But I expect UCF to win by at least two touchdowns.
————-
Mr. Spikes: Sure enjoyed your comments. Maybe next season Miami will draft an O-Lineman in the 3rd or 4th round.
This is what we have in store for Da-Radas!
An important therapeutic message to all bloggers here….
I knew Joseph would catch on with someone. He’s a good kicker.
Back to the Raiders game, then. While no team can br overlooked, I don’t see the Raiders coming around and playing well next week. Without Mack they are not generating pressure, which should alleviate some of y’alls OL concerns. I believe that it will take Gruden a year or two to get his players in place, just like it has Gase. Right now, he’s on the verge of losing their particular locker room.
Don’t underestimate them. There is talent on offense. Carr was 29 of 32 and one of the 3 incompletions was a drop that killed a drive
https://twitter.com/PFF_RyanSmith/status/1041832160179695618
He’s a good player.
Jones, McCain and Godchaux are pretty amazing 5th rounders
Yep and Taylor’s a solid 6th rd pick.
I’ve seen not one but two coral snakes, also in Oviedo, in the last week. I know because red touched yellow. Most times you think you see one but it’s just a king snake, red touches black.
Snakes by the way are venomous not poisonous.
Red on yellow, black nose-bad news
OD, Friday night is a tough one. Too bad it wasn’t on Saturday, I think I’m going to go hopefully we’ll take it easy on your Owls.
This is getting too deep into silliness already, but . . .
M – Do you really think Tim is/has been disrespectful to OD? Let’s get right to the heart of this, do you?
I’ll be disappointed if you do . . . I think Tim is pretty damn respectful of everyone here.
I still don’t even know what comments he’s referring to. I went to last night’s posts and either I missed it or just don’t see what he’s referring to. I didn’t see anyone say anything to OD that was critical.
I don’t either, but perhaps a simple copy/paste job would at least bring to light what perhaps he interpreted as disrespectful and then you can get an opportunity to rebuke it.
Well it’s not just me because he referred to it as piling on. I didn’t see anything like that.
Phelon – I prefer the landing strip myself, that’s just me. I don’t want to feel like I’m with an 8 year old, but again, that’s just me. 😛
Oh, and I also prefer brunettes
👍
I wonder if Chucky would cough up an OL for a DE (Branch)????
D and I will gladly accept Gabe Jackson!!!
after we win this weekend of course
He wasn’t going to pay Mack why would he want Branch’s bloated salary?
He’d want Harris and he ain’t getting him.
Mike – I’ve never understood the Brazilian fascination either.
OK you F*$ckers find your own OL!
I’m going back to what I’m good at!
Ken – As,I,said, can’t overlook any team. But I think Miami matches up to the Raiders well at this point in Gruden’s reboot.
I don’t understand the whole economy in John Wick’s secret world. It is one gold coin to be brought to see someone, or for a scotch, but it is only one gold coin for an entire arsenal of weapons, or two bullet proof suites……
They have trouble with math?
The cashiers at all the stores I go to would love that method!!!!
Yet, they keep stacks of them.
I forgot Stabby was on the Chickens now!

Sure he throws a lot of short passes, but I’m ok with them as long as the completion % is that high. We’re benefitting from Ryan being a 7 yr vet.
One thing that stood out to me in the first half was the field position war that we killed them on, the punter Haack had them pinned inside their 20 the whole 1st half making it difficult for the Jets to sustain a drive.
Special teams has done well other than 2 mistakes!
2?
The kick return obviously but what was the other?
Hack was on fire.
Haack too, he earned his 2nd A yesterday.
I couldn’t help myself!
I’m pretty sure Vontae doesn’t get paid for the entire season, if you dont honor your contract they dont have to pay you. The guarantee is, if they cut you.
LOL
Griffin with the INT!!!!

Griffin with #2
I think Chucky lit a fire under Macks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, Mack (or is it Maack) is good, but I’m already tired of the announcers slobbering over him. Probably should wait a couple of years before anointing him a hall of famer.
Son – Two Coral Snakes in one week is something. I think I’ve seen maybe six in my life. And I grew up hunting snakes to sell to the local serpentariums for making anti- enormous.
So you hunted little snakes?
Yep. Mostly rattlesnakes. You could sell them for 2 bucks a foot.
Where did you find snakes with legs?
lol that’s funny
It’s Florida….
Anti-venom. Damn autocorrect
Yeah and I’ve never seen one before. Seen tons of king snakes.
lol, what the heck was that last commercial?
This ESPN commentator needs to suck Mack off already.
No shit….maybe that will get a out of system.
The commercial free halftime show starts with a commercial.
I SAW MACK play in college when he led his U. of Buffalo defense to an upset win at FAU. He was a man playing among boys. Unfortunately, this was during the time when the Dolphins didn’t even send a scout to watch the FAU home games, so no one was there to see Mack! However, a Raiders scout caught the game and supposedly turned their franchise on to Mack. To those who may not know, Schnellenberger Field is about 30 miles north of the Dolphins’ headquarters in Davie.
OUT FOR TONIGHT.

Saw some of both Donkie games they’re crap, should be oh and 2.
It’s pretty clogged at the bottom each of the last 5 could make a case to be the worst but Buffalo looks nice there
Last 4 actually
Bail Bond Mike there’s your boy
Man Wilson can drop it in the bucket as good as anyone
Drop kick. Still doing it some when I was learning football. We’d practice it out in the yard some.
Looks like Chicago is going to give away another one.
I’d like to see him punt less frequently. We need points lots of points.
Punts aren’t always a bad thing, if you can pin them back and play D it runs the clock. Sometimes it’s better to punt it to the 4, instead of kicking an FP.
Pick 6 for Da Bears
Bears and jets look alike, and both QBs have accuracy issues you see in youngins.
