2 and oh! No misprint here, The Dolphins are 2-0. They went into NJ to visit the NY Jets at MetLife Stadium, and came away with an impressive victory. The Jets had thoroughly dismantled the Detroit Lions in Detroit the previous week, 48-17, and they looked pretty damn good doing it too. Don’t let anyone take away or diminish this victory. The Dolphins were far from flawless, but this unit looks so much more like a T-E-A-M than it has in some time. I know, it’s easy to say that after 2 wins, and there’s some truth to that, how they respond to adversity will be key as well, but at the moment, there don’t seem to be any “ME!” players.
The team is listening to Adam Gase, and they definitely seem to be more disciplined. The Dolphins fumbled 3 times in the game, Tannehill had 2, and more on that . . . The strip sack where Tannehill fumbled, I am now positive that he DID NOT SEE Jamal Adams beat Mike Gesicki and he was just casually rolling out when Adams got by Gesicki for the sack. I know some have said Tannehill looks slower, lost a step or two, but I don’t really see that. What I think Tannehill has lost is some of his cutting ability, but his straight-line speed is there. It’s also possible he improves in this area as he gets more comfortable and trusts his knee more and more in time.
2 Penalties in the game. Discipline. I couldn’t be happier with the production of that D-line. If you think I miss Suh or Godchaux following Suh’s lead jumping offsides, I freaking don’t! If you think I miss Jarvis Landry and his patented first down gestures (I do a little bit) I don’t miss the LOOK AT ME stuff. It’s still early in the season, but after 2 games, Adam Gase seems to have shaped the roster with his guys, and it seems to be working. Good on him.
We were all worried about the defense, the D-line, the LB’s, and the CB’s too, because Cordrea Tankersley seems to have regressed this season, and was inactive. So far, it’s all working. The D-line in particular sans Suh has been better than advertised, make that much better! Talk about T-E-A-M, this unit personifies this. Everyone is in the action and contributing. Godchaux (6 TKL, 3 AST), Phillips (1 TAK, 1 AST, 1 SACK), Spence (4 TKL, 3 AST), Taylor (5 TKL, 2 AST), Hayes (2 TKL, 1 SACK). We’ve only registered 3 sacks, and 2 of them are by the DT’s, Robert Quinn has the other. Safe to say if this DL play continues, Suh will not be tweeting in this direction in ’18, unless maybe to say I’m sorry, and I was wrong.
Back to the CB’s. We haven’t played a team that is deep with WR talent. The Titans have Rishard Matthews and Corey Davis, and Matthews is still hurting. The Jets have Quincy Enunwa and Robbie Anderson, along with Terrelle Pryor, and then Jermaine Kearse who just returned from injury. Neither WR group is impressive, so our CB’s haven’t been truly tested yet. That changes a bit when da Raiders come to town. Amari Cooper had a down year last season, but he’s started much faster this season, and he already has 11 receptions. Jordy Nelson is a big talented veteran receiver and Martavis Bryant who came over from the Steelers is another bigger receiver who is a big play threat with great speed. The Raiders also have TE Jared Cook who has started off very fast this season, so our secondary may play a huge role in this game. That, and the pass rush. We have to get to Derek Carr and make him uncomfortable. He’s been uncomfortable most of the time, and that’s why he’s struggling, but if he’s allowed to sit back there, he will make us pay.
In the secondary, it will be interesting to see if Cordrea Tankersley is active, I think he’ll have to be. Minkah’s snap count will probably increase as well, especially if we limit Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin in the run game. If we force them to pass, there will be plenty of 3, 4 and maybe even 5 receiver sets. Jared Cook is a dangerous receiver who has given us trouble before when he was with the Titans, and then also with the Rams. Our secondary may be tested, and once again, if the run defense does it’s job, we’ll need more pass rush from Quinn, Wake, Harris and Hayes, as well as the DT’s.
The Raiders are scoring only 16 PPG, and have given up 26.5 PPG. Small sample of course, but they have struggled so far. You can almost flip the stats for our Dolphins, scoring 23.5 PPG and allowing only 16. If we can keep that up against the Raiders, we should be 3-0, but . . . The Raiders are desperate after plunking down the $100M contract for Head Coach Jon Gruden, and they will be desperate for a win, and also consider all the people who do the power rankings, how much it must be killing them for the Dolphins to be anywhere past #17 in the NFL.
I think we continue what we’ve been doing on offense, the combo of Drake and Gore has been effective, Gore really bailed us out on that 3rd and 19 play. Neither back has topped the 100 YD mark, but the sharing is working. I would imagine Devante Parker will see his first action this Sunday, as reports stated he was OK to play last week against the Jets. We’ve spread the ball around so well, I wouldn’t expect Parker in the lineup changing that much at all. I’d like to see Gesicki and Derby get more involved in the pass game, especially Gesicki, but we may have to be patient in that regard. I think once Tannehill develops that trust that is so essential, and they understand each other, and learn what each other wants and can do, I think that Gesicki will start getting more passes thrown his way.
MIA 30 – OAK 19

Cleveland offensive line looks like ours used to
try-rod must hold the ball too long too! ????
#%^ page turn
I’m here for whatever that’s worth?????????????
Sorry Wyoming

The 0-16 team can’t use the first phucking pick in the draft because they are sooo phucking good.
I get it 😳
Reply
There you go Son. You got screwed by the turn
Thanks bro
Baker is a faker!
You will see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disagree
Not sleeping on the Rams but it was Gruden’s homecoming. Raiders we’re supposed to be good and we’re supposed to suck.
Gruden didn’t suit up!
And he decided he didn’t need his all pro pass rusher!
And it’s gonna cost him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it will. Gore can’t wait.
That should have been a pick
Who here is sleeping with the Rams?
The browns have -14 passing yards……
The Jets have positive 16
Lol
It’s not about the QB with the Browns. They can’t pick up blitzes.
He did miss a wide open WR on that deep ball
Try-rod aught to be used to that by now!
Just a little bit of an overreaction
Nick Terry not you MF13
Got ya, Hulkster!
I still say they would have been smarter to select Barkley with the number one and circled back around for their QB. Probably still could have gotten Mayfield.
Agree
Tyrod with Barkley would have been more effective
Come on Browns! have some freakin pride. Youv’e won ONE game in three years.
Man they look terrible
trapping Garrett on the runs!
Over aggressive!!!!!!!
Neville!!!!!!
Well that was a bad pass
One handed no try by Landry!
Bad pass he had no chance
Sure?
The 16 Million dollar man should have caught it?
Taylor is not doing himself any favors
landry trying for a one hand grab misses. YOU SIR ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM, NOT THE SOLUTION
No sorry Baker just wait we’re not bad enough to have to use you.
Makes me feel much better about our O line
With Jarvis, this feels like saying to your ex, sooooo I heard your boyfriend has herpes…
Where is your first down celebration Jarvis?
I know what Art Model would do……
That Nike commercial sucks.
Oops on Jarvis
Tyrod only looks good against us lol, looking awful tonight
The only thing about putting Baker in now is that this offense and especially the offensive line looks so bad right now you may do more harm than good in regards to his development
I dunno. You could do more damage than good throwing him in on this shit show. I would have kept him out and got him ready to go next game
The attempted one hand grab by Landry was thowing up a shot at something he had no chance on. That wrong route, don’t know what the play call was but Tyrod was right that would have been a TD had he run the route he obviously thought he was going to. He was open though so I’m just not sure who had it right or if there was some sort of rsecond route option and they saw something different
Wyoming,
Here’s an ICE-cold cyber beer for ya!
You know what they say??????
Be careful what you ask for!
It may just happen!!!!!
Go score mother phucker
That’s an OL wet dream lol
The frozen pasta king for 9
He held that last one too long
That’s the dumbest rule I’ve ever heard!
There’s a famous play where the Raiders intentionally fumbled the ball at the end of the game and scored a TD to win so they made a rule to prevent that
The Holy Roller
But that wasn’t batted!
It was recovered and ran?????
Oh well?
But it was picked up by a different player and that’s what the rule prohibits. Admittedly this was different than the Raiders play
Good for you Joseph
I’ve got to admit… it’s HILARIOUS seeing all of these pundits being wrong about Baker coming in!!! 😆
He’s way ready. He lives and breathes this shit
Agreed
Gee Baker was on the field and we scored…
We????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Speaking as a Brownie would
That Taylor exit looked a little orchestrated
Word is that it’s a concussion.
We didn’t score! We aren’t playing tonight!!!!!!!!!!
Are you having an MF13 moment??????????????
HUH???
You can admit your holding on to your favorite players!
LOL, got ya, Wyoming!!! 🙂
I do still like Jarvis despite what everyone here says
Son, do you remember me posting the ’18 Draft QB’s comparison numbers, in an individual study? NOBODY came close to Baker.
Yup I remember.
Thanks!
We say what happened when we went into our Tom Olivadotti defense????
Now the world get’s their Mayfield VS Darnold showdown!
Whoopdy – Do
Curmudgeon
🙂
HEY SON-OF-A-SON: Got to see Greg Joseph kick that FG for the Brownies just before a thunderstorm took out DIRECTV here in Tampa Bay area. The storm seems to be ending so maybe I’ll watch a bit of the 3rd quarter before I walk my doggies. Ah, yes, the picture’s back!
GOOD LUCK to your Knights tomorrow night.
Thanks. I hope your boys keep it close. That’s a good program.
Let’s go Baker
The uniforms in this game look like a toilet bowl after a night of drinking
Baker looks a little like Freddie Mercury
Looks like Darnold brought his girlfriend to the game
Cleveland D needs a pick
Bakers not on the field for that! 😉
That’ll get him back out there
Just as good
Crying
Lol mofo crying
Hey Ryan did you see that rookie throw it away ?
Son
The Stej look like they are going to break your new toy!
Maybe but I want them to lose so bad.
2/2 Joseph
Owl take it
Nice throw Baker
Score!!!
Baker smart enough to go to Landry
No one wants to say it I’m sure but that was a freakishly good catch by Landry
Yup
He’s something
That’s the play Philly ran in the Super Bowl but to the other side
I guess he doesn’t think much about browns fans
https://twitter.com/mysportsupdate/status/1042946827149037568?s=21
Typical scumbag stej
Pretty sure he is gonna get fined for that one
What is wrong with their field?
It’s in Cleveland!
Come on D
Well finally appear to be in last stages of our basement rebuild .. been a long frikkin haul since April 9th water meter blew a gasket in basement.. we are painted, carpeted, cabinets are almost all in and the TVs are hung .. cable boxes are in tomorrow, and souns system being finished Monday .. bathroom and bedroom fixtures after that, then its decorate time .. should be all done and ready for Fins Lions game.. oh wait , we wont be home 😢😎🤡
Sans carpet! good job!
Yeah I’d have gon with stained concrete for a basement floor. They got stuff now that will make it look like marble or other patterns. Hella simple to do too
Canadians are like 1980s US so I’ll give you a pass on not being with the modern styles 🙂
Tile works too!
No water damage to it!
Lol. I keep the house too fucking cold to have hard anything floors .. but thanks 😎
Mayfield looks pretty good.
Shit!
Now I can’t watch tv for 2 1/2 days because of the Mayfield Jism gargling that is going to go on!
B-R-O-W-N-S. Still suck , but JETS suck worse
Maybe the Sam Darnold super stardom will get a little quiet for awhile. Now it’s going to be about Baker Mayfield. LOL
How bout a shout out to Mr Ed J-E-T-S suck suck suck
Did some rookie QB get it done behind a shitty OL? I thought that simply wasn’t possible. Huh. Go figure.
Mayfield looked absolutely electric. Teams will figure him out but he’s the real deal. He was underestimated in college, underestimated by many before and after the draft…but he was the best pick this year. He makes the Browns look exciting. I would have loved him here. Landry has his feeder.
No offense to our guys but we didn’t look like that. At no point this year have we been that explosive. It was fun to watch.
So Clev has won 1 of there last 19 games and it happened on Thursday at home, coincidence? I think not. Our FO needs to get their heads out and request an FN home Thursday for only the 2nd time in 8 years. We’ve lost all the road ones and won the lone home one.
Here we go…
Lapped all over Broadway Sam week 1 now they have fallen off and onto Money Mayfield. Snooze….
Why do Randy and Son hate Tannehill so much? Always lusting after a shiny, new QB instead of loving the one we’re with. Sad. Think of the negative impact it must have on Tannehill! He probably has to have counseling!
Darn old was Hall of Fame bound after his first start too. Let’s give Mayfield a couple more weeks before lamenting that Miami’s incompetent front office didn’t pick him (even though he was the 1st overall pick.
Good Post Phel, Mayfield won a game, well whoop de do, I guess RT hasn’t won a game?
RT is 7th in the NFL QB rating, and getting the W,s. Constructive criticism could be in play for anyone, but replacing RT at this point in the season is totally unnecessary IMO, and would be counterproductive at best
Btw We picked Minkah! Damn, not happy with that? He’s a big part of why we are 2-0
Browns won a game, lol. 10 Cleveland bars had free beer last nite.
Browns can go on vacation for 2 years now, their biannual win box is checked!
this would be a good time for Me to totally go off on the Landry deal, but I already did, Landry Passes, err I mean, I pass on the subject 😎
Mayfield is going to be a good QB. I was hoping he might fall to the Dolphins, but obviously when he was taken at #1, that was that. He’s an exciting player, he’s going to give that team a jolt, and I thought he would do that here. Nothing wrong with giving credit when credit is due. I’m happy with Tannehill, I think he’s capable of helping us win enough to be a playoff team, but of course the rest of the team has to play well too.
True that, and we would have had to give up 2 first round picks, and possibly more to trade up for a QB to sit on the bench behind RT.
And of course, no Minkah Fitzpatrick, and no first round pick next year either.
It wasn’t reasonable or needed to trade up to 1 for Mayfield.
I don’t know how good Mayfield will be, I don’t wish him I’ll will, but a QB doesn’t win all by himself, and it’s not required to have the best QB to win a SB. Hell We went undefeated with an old guy that wasn’t very good playing most of the season.
What’s required to win a SB is the best TEAM😎

WOW! that’s a shot at Tannehill!
If you say so
i meant to say “is that”
Not in the least, you can compliment one person without detracting from another
Parker should be playing this week, i’m expecting a high scoring game
i built a new set of golf irons yesterday KZG Blades, Rifle Shafts,5.5 stiff, dri-tac grips, d-6 swing weight, I bent them all 1 degree upright. these babies will cut through the rough like a hot knife thru butter!
Keep it in the fairway
The first win for Cleveland since 2016 !!! and it was against the Jets. LMMFAO !
All those Jets fans talking shit after Week 1 🙂 I kinda feel bad for Bowles but in a way its what he gets for wearing that putrid green.
The A’s out scored the Stej yesterday
Couple things revisited from last page.

Isn’t it cool that we’re 2-0 but we can critique our players at the same time? LOL
—————————————————–
To me one isnt rlated to the other. We could be 5-0 and if we are and our wins are not impressive, we have holes, we hve flaws, players arent playing up to their potential, i dont see the harm in saying that. I think Kong and SB7 already hit on this so i wont write a book but we still need to improve or that 2-0 might start sliding.
We started 3-0 with Philbin one year and that shit turned around really fast because we beat some bad teams or at least teams that were playing bad then and we werent really playing well but we were getting by.
2-0 is something to continue to build off of, 5-0 will be the same thing but with more variables encountered to say if we are still winning its more likely because we are playing well and not just a fluke, but even then im sure there will be players that still need to clean some things up.
I think if someone was still talking doom and gloom about the entire team, broad stroking the shit out of things, then yeah you could say, man you guys just look for shit to be upset about, but these are, from what i have seen, constructive points from people who are all happy with the 2-0 start and just want to get to 3-0 or 5-0 or 10-0.
My point was we critique our team all the time anyway especially since in recent years it’s because we’re not very good and after losses. Now we’re 2-0 and we still do it. But it’s much more fun because we’re 2-0. It wasn’t meant to go as deep as you did. But that’s okay too. 🙂
Ok I get that Mayfield looked good!
But remember Darnold was the NFL darling from the week 1 to 2?
Through 2 games the Raiders are 31st in the league in rushing defense giving up 154 yds a game. The Fins are 6th in rushing offense with 127.5 yds a game. Our strength vs their weakness.
Either we run the ball down their throats, or they sell out to stop the run, and we open up our passing game. That is the way it should go down.
I’m pretty nervous about this game. This year has a different feel, but I’ve been conditioned to expect a letdown. All the factors are in our favor. We should be 3-0 this week. This is the type of game the last few years that we would end up getting whipped to bring us down to earth. Hopefully this year is different. We dominated play most of the first two games. Let’s make it a third!!
Go Dolphins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, even Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller are picking the Dolphins this week, and they notoriously don’t think much of Miami
It’s got to fun to be Chase!
Oh your sponsor got you some free motor oil huh?????
I’ve somehow convinced myself that it’s “3-0 or bust” and that’s a shorty attitude
If we lost this game, 2-1 would still be a good start
I just want to get the win with 2 tough road games on the horizon
I think we have to be 3-0. We can’t afford to lose against these coin flip teams at home.
Have to be 3-0 or else what?
You convinced yourself too SB!
Mike – we turn into mushroom if we don’t go 3-0. It is written.
I don’t believe I ever said anything about drafting another QB. I just pointed out that a rookie QB….in his first game and playing behind a terrible OL…found a way to make plays. And our QB….even after 6 years….still has fans making the excuse for him that he doesn’t make plays because his OL sucks. Just a simple observation. I’m sorry if it stings. Lol
Tannehill has made plenty of big plays over the years behind a horrible OL. That’s the part you left out. 😉
Mike,
or our record gets worse 😉
Considerably too! From 1000% to .666 🙂
Tim,
Yep, he’s made a few….in 6 years.
You do know this is actually Tannehill’s 6th season that he’s actually played – 2 games in right? 😉
Woop woop
SB – Only reason I asked was because I didn’t expect us to be 2-0, let alone 3-0. If it happens, I’ll be thrilled, but 2-1 isn’t so bad.
Most games are competitive and a play here or there or not made can be the difference in the outcome. We’re not at a point where we can look past any opponent. At 2-0 we’re also not at a point where if we lose this Sunday to the Raiders it’s a bad thing. Of course we want us to win this Sunday and every week but we all know how this league is.
Go Phins!!!!!

Oh, well yes then i would agree with that, i just felt like you were saying we are winning we shouldn’t be arguing about how the players are doing. By now you should know im a topic spelunker i get deep into things probably when most are really just looking to play in the shallows.
Nah this team has plenty of room for improvement and discussing those issues if definitely open for discussion. It’s just more fun at 2-0 because we haven’t lost yet. 🙂
