We have X on one side, that much is a given. The way the Dolphins have chosen to finish the equation is X + R = CB Bliss. It’s actually a big risk. Rowe has been a part time player for the first 4 years of his career. He was drafted in the 2nd RD in 2015 by the Philadelphia Eagles. Rowe played in all 16 games for the Eagles in his rookie year, starting 5. New England was in need of a CB in 2016 and sent a conditional 4th RD pick in 2018, which at best could have turned into a 3rd RD pick if performance measures were met. Why did Philly give up on their guy so quickly, so much so that they had to wait 2 years to get compensation back for him? Very odd.
At the NFL combine, Rowe was a monster. He ran 4.45 at 6’1 205, a 3.97 20 YD shuttle which is super quick for a guy that size, a 6.70 cone drill which shows elite agility and a 39″ vertical which shows elite explosion.. Maybe that’s why Philly took him in the 2nd RD, he Mike Mamula’d them. They pretty much gave up on the guy after one season.
Rowe started only 12 games in 3 seasons for the Patriots and played in 21 games. I’m not saying Eric Rowe can’t be the guy, but so far 2 teams, and make that 2 very solid organizations like the Eagles and Patriots can’t find a way to get this guy to work, it’s a little disconcerting. He has played well in practice and looked good in the preseason so far, but it just shows how poor our quality depth is at CB at the moment after Xavien Howard. Cornell Armstrong, Jalen Davis, Chris Lammons, Cordrea Tankersley and David Rivers. Chris Lammons has flashed some but is anyone here confident that he can handle the pressure of being picked on constantly as teams avoid throwing to the side X is on? That’s a lot to handle.
Some guys develop late, some guys just need the right opportunity to shine. It looks like Rowe is going to be given every opportunity and more to seize the job opposite X so it won’t be for a lack of chances that he doesn’t succeed here. Eric Rowe was a starter at CB in college at Utah. Who was that big Utah CB we had here that everyone loved? Was it Sun Sentinel, er Sean Smith? Smith was a lightning rod. Some hated him, some defended him. My recollection is I was a Sean Smith sympathizer. I thought he was unfairly treated by the haters although he was never a great player for us. He was at the very least a serviceable player for us. Smith started 56 games in 4 seasons for us. Can Rowe give us anything like that? The SS haters will hate this statement, but if Rowe can be as good as Sean Smith, I think we’ve done well.

Jermy Pernell OT from the Jags is now a FA,
if he has fully recovered from his knee injury, he is an above average, but not great starting OT
We could certainly use that
D,
How can you say our OL is better than they’ve been in awhile when they haven’t even played a game yet? I think we’re moving in the right direction. Tunsil is a solid starter. Deiter, I think, will be too….but he’s still a rookie. Kilgore is an okay veteran. But, the right side is questionable. Once teams start scheming on where to attack our weak spots, it’s gonna be a problem. Allen was just running around last night playing on athleticism….no scheming….very basic moves….and he still wreaked havoc. And there are a lot of freakishly athletic DEs in this league. Our right side is gonna see a lot of them.
Ryan Scraeder OT is also available. he was a starter for the Falcons in their super bowl season
Dion drugstore Jordan is a FA? lmao hell noooooo
DE is the biggest mystery still.
I’d like to keep Orchard and Hendrix and Ledbetter with Harris and Carradine.
At DT: Wilkins, Godchaux, Taylor, Spence, and Adolphus Washington.
But that’s 10.
That’s a lot, right?
Maybe we can get away with only a few LB?
Like 5 instead of the usual 7.
Because we will be using DBs in the frequent nickel and dime pkgs.
Baker, Eguavoen, Alonso, McMillan, van Ginkel.
Is DeLuca worth a spot? Hanks?
Hanks and Tre Watson look like good candidates for the PS.
I think we use too many multiple TE formations to keep only 3. I saw two TEs on the field a lot.
Last night we had 3 on the field and threw to Smythe.
That’s true, that’s why I see us keeping more than 3.
Randy,
not sure if you watched the game but i had Davis playing decent, he kept pushing allen high, fitz needs to step up a little which he did, the only time Allen disrupted our OL was on stunts where Davis had to pick up the stunt and Calhoun should have picked up allen or allen was flat out not his assignment. I think head to head Davis did pretty good against Allen, watch the first qtr again.
3rd and 8 at the 6:15 mark of the 1st Qtr, Allen got thru and hit fitz but there was a stunt and Calhoun really missed allen, not Davis, Davis picked up the stunt and had him the whole way, Calhoun was chasing after Allen as he blew by him to hit Fitz.
In the 2nd qtr fitz dropped back and got happy feet and broke the pocket allowing Allen to pursue him, if he had not broke the pocket Davis had him handled.
Davis played very good last night watch the film.
One time Allen got to Ballage but it was not Davis’s assignment, Dwayne Allen was suppose to pick up the DE and flat out whiffed on him.
ORob, not saying Davis was great but a lot of what you’re saying here is what I saw. It was not Allen beating Davis every time. I’m sure Davis is trying to adjust to playing RT again after playing RG all last year.
BBMike, I’m not sure yet with this new coaching staff how the roster breakdown will go. Other than some of the typical numbers that are usually kept, I’m not sure which positions might be overloaded. Also once teams start cutting guys we could be picking guys up off waivers and making those decisions based on that.
Tunsil is due a payday soon, he is the unquestioned leader of the OL
With him in there, we have a serviceable OL. Imo
Without Tunsil, we look like the cardinals
Tunsil will not be cheap, and we will have to pony up or have a sad excuse of an offensive line without him
We need to draft at least 3 OL in the first three rounds next year IMO, this team needs OL, and maybe bring in Clowney, or draft a top pass rusher
LOL… all OL in the first 3 rounds even if the talent level doesn’t suggest that’s a good idea?
We can always go with Calhoun, or some other UDFA, SMH
this team is desperate for OL, especially if they can’t make a deal with Tunsil next year
For game one, we have the Ravens on deck, they won their division last season and always present a tough matchup for Miami, very tough.
They come after the QB, their defense is attacking and aggressive.
It’s imperative We start Rosen against the Ravens, his scrambling ability is much superior to Fitzpatrick, and he is just a much better QB , that still hasn’t reached his upside.
Ravens will sack Fitz and force him to make mistakes, Rosen can beat the Ravens, when they over pursue he steps up and completes the pass, or runs for the first down.
Rosen gives us the best chance to win game one, he needs to start or Flores will take some heat when Fitz fails to get the job done, and Rosen has to come into an 0-4 season and have to play catchup all year from starting in a 4 game hole
I honestly don’t see Fitzpatrick winning any of the first 4 games, these are playoff teams and he just can’t get it done, Rosen and our defense gives us a chance to take 2’or 3 of them
I see some analysts saying don’t overthink this Miami, just start Rosen, he has the best chance to be a Miami franchise QB of anyone on the roster
The Dolphins biggest weakness is the OL, but
What if the OL was our strength? If we brought in top talent and they gel together, how good would Rosen be if he wasn’t being chased by 2-3 defenders constantly? If Rosen had a clean pocket and could scan the field he could be deadly.
How good would Drake and Ballage be ,if they had open running lanes to run through?
I would love to see serious upgrades to the OL, guys like Calhoun are not part of a rebuild, he may be ok for depth, but we need quality starters.
We need a top RT, similar to Tunsil level of talent, because teams have hellacious pass rushers that will attack our right side for 16 games in a row
We need to run the ball and control the game, and play action off the run, everything is down hill if You have one of the best OL in the NFL
Hopefully We get there someday soon
David, you can’t just say 3 OL first 3 rounds without prospect names and none of us know who they are. We’re not winning in a big way this year. It doesn’t matter, one step at a time.
I gotcha, it’s too early to name names and make a mock draft IMO
But I have noticed there is some top talent in next years draft, and I think we have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds..?
There should be a good chance for us to find some OL talent with the picks we have
If we sign Tunsil, and we probably will, and If we had a top RT, and maybe a second round guard at the minimum, that is already a huge upgrade, and could have us well on our way to having a great OL
I will say if we go through the first 3 rounds, and do not select at least 2 OL , then we can expect more OL breakdowns, bad pass protection, and weak blocking for the run
We won’t need Tua, Rosen will be our guy, he’s super motivated, hungry, talented, and improves quickly as he goes with a lot of upside
He came into a game that had a fierce pass rush, and he started on the one yard line, even one of the announcers mentioned that, and chuckled, then said, good luck
He had good luck, converted an impressive 99 yard drive.
He showed great leadership, got the defense to jump offsides from the 1,
took command in the huddle and at the line, called out the Mikes like a seasoned veteran, and didn’t let the pass rush rattle him, instead he stepped up or scrambled out,
He got 3 first downs by running for his life, one was a third and fourteen and he got us inside the 5 yard line with a first and goal
That run was determination, no one would have knocked Rosen much if he slid and we kicked a FG, but no, Rosen wanted the first and goal, and got it
I know it’s preseason, but preseason is showing us Rosen has incredible talent, and talent is what it is, He will be very good during the season too
We made a hell of a deal with the cards to get a former first round pick QB that we needed, and he seems to be able to handle the pass rush much better than any recent Miami QB could
ORob,
Yep. I watched the game. I wouldn’t have commented on it if I hadn’t. And yes…there were plays where it wasn’t his fault when there was pressure. But, I have seen every preseason game, and I see the same shortcomings I’ve seen with him since he’s been here. Teams will focus on Davis and Calhoun. I hope I’m wrong.

REG SEASON STARTS IN 2 WEEKS!
Do we have the speed and gap / lane integrity to bottle up the Ravens QB?
I’m hoping he throws 3 picks, so his legs can’t beat us.
so far i’m very impressed with the defensive scheme, light years ahead of where we were last year at this time.
PFF gave center Kilgore the highest grade on the offensive line (71.3), following by Chris Reed at 68.8, Jesse Davis (54.9), Jordan Mills (53), Aaron Monteiro (51.9), Michael Deiter (51.1) and Shaq Calhoun (50.0) and Zach Sterup (48.2 in 19 snaps). Sterup started at left tackle in place of Tunsil.
What’s bad about that is Reed is 2nd center, so that doesn’t help much unless Kilgore gets hurt.
i’m worried about calhoun, starting at right guard!
Clemson has some great recruits, incl #1 ( top QB).
rated 2nd best class so far behind LSU.
Clemson’s only in-state recruit is the coach’s son.
https://clemson.rivals.com/commitments/Football/2020
Seeing as how we extended Grant, maybe somebody on the Dolphins coaching staff is actually thinking about this, but to me, if you have a guy returning kicks who is that fast, you should not just do same ol same ol on the kick return game. Who cares about getting 6 yds?
We should actually draw up plays and run plays designed to make the first 2-3 guys miss, because no one can catch Grant if he breaks the wall on any kick.
We should ID those guys fast enough to get Grant down (as in all the DBs who line up on their punt team) and take them completely out of the coverage.
I don’t care if you triple team them.
A bunch of OL and even TEs and LBs on STs cannot tackle Grant in the open field.
I would barely even block the LS, OGs, and OTs on the kick team and forget about the punter too.
That should give us plenty of blockers to completely neutralize their first wave or the guys on the corners or whatever play we want to run. Grant with a full head of steam at the 40 and 3 guys to beat is points on the board. His speed beats angles.
It just seems like rizzi was on autopilot, maybe covering Gase’s HC ass while he was drawing in his sandbox. Let’s get some “hidden yardage” out of Grant while he’s young.
Why on earth would we want to trade Tunsil?
unless we don’t want to pay the man.
That’s why
ORob
I’m worried about Calhoun, too.
The good thing is he has good punch and drive.
I will forgive his rookie mistakes (Dieter’s too) because rooks do stupid stuff sometimes.
So what I hope is that 1) neither of them get our backfield hurt
and
2) our guard play does not define the games.
If we can just keep their flaws to disruptions to a drive or 2 per game, we should be ok if the rest of the game they open holes and direct the rushers away from our skills players.
We get 6-7 drives per game right?
More if our D is playing well.
So if our OL only screws up 2 drives, then we should be able to score 3-5 times.
That’s 20-24 points, so our D needs to either score or pitch a near shutout.
A little help from STs to shorten our field would really be nice. (see Grant above)
i think that’s why fitz is our starter, he seems more agile and tough than rosen and can help make up for our OL deficiencies with quick throws a maneuverability.
Rosen is both agile and tough.
SB – Remember that phone interview I had a while back? I hadn’t heard anything, I figured that opportunity was dead. I just received an email from them that a store leader from a different territory will be interviewing me and a recruiting coordinator will be in touch to schedule the interview. I’m happy, even if things don’t work out, I didn’t want to be rejected.
Kool
should we trade tunsil for clowney? seems that’s the latest rumor.
How would that help?
we’d just be swapping one hole for another.
Maybe they see more good OL to draft than DE next year?
What’s the plan?
an all star but all rookie OL?
They’ll need to pay Clowns big bucks anyway, so how does that swap save cash?
Maybe they think Sterup can hold down LT and Clowney would have a bigger impact on the team, not sure however that’s the latest rumor from Tony Pauline.
no wonder they held Tunsil out of the pre season game.

Our updated post with all of the latest information regarding our report on Jadeveon Clowney and Laremy Tunsil, which includes confirmation from
@TonyPauline
on the Tunsil front.
Trading Tunsil for Clowney seems ridiculous. I wouldn’t do that.
If we trade Tunsil, our LT is either a journeyman on skates (Mills) or a turnstyle (Jones Smith) or an enormous hunk of concrete (Sterup) or a very large child (Prince).
How is that protecting the blind side?
Rosen also has a quick release and spins a very nice ball.
I like Fitz, but I also like Rosen.
we have a defensive coach for one, pass rushers like clowney are rare, i think miami would have to sign clowney and that may be the hold up
You draft a DE next year. It’s a good class for defensive ends supposedly. It’s also a good class of OT as well, but do you want to evaluate Rosen with a makeshift OL? That seems silly, no?
maybe they think the dropoff from tunsil to whomever they have in mind to manage LT is not that much…who knows???
it seems normal, we ALWAYS evaluate our QB behind our shitty line
and exactly why is our OL shitty for every single year? we will have to draft better than the Prince guy, or bringing in Calhoun, those are BS moves
we have to spend our top picks to get top talent, then we have to develop and retain them.
there arent a whole bunch of UDFA guys that can be pro bowl OL
N.E, always gives players with perceived value away for draft picks, maybe grier and flores are following that motto shopping tunsil.
HoF Gil Brandt ranks
THE MOST ENVIABLE QB SITUATIONS and picks Tennessee as his best QB room
1) Tennessee Titans
Rostered QBs: Marcus Mariota, Ryan Tannehill, Logan Woodside.
You might be surprised to see the Titans here, given that Mariota is heading into the fifth and final year of his rookie deal and still hasn’t quite answered the question of whether or not he’s a franchise quarterback. But this ranking is as much about the man behind Mariota as it is about the former No. 2 overall pick. Before we get into that, I have to say, I really like Mariota. He has tons of upside, excellent speed and top-notch athletic ability, and he’s shown flashes of fulfilling his considerable potential. Ideally, the presence of Tannehill will help bring out the best in Mariota. But if Mariota should falter — notably, he has yet to play a full 16-game season — Tennessee could turn to the best backup quarterback in the NFL, a former first-round pick in his own right who showed in Miami he has what it takes to carry a team to the playoffs. (Though he missed the 2016 postseason with a torn ACL, Tannehill started 13 games for the Dolphins that season.) I can understand how some would find the uncertainty around Mariota off-putting. But the Titans are actually in the rare and quite enviable position of having two young, capable, starter-caliber options at the most important position in sports.
dammit
HoF Gil Brandt ranks
THE LEAST ENVIABLE QB SITUATIONS and picks Miami as the worst QB room
1) Miami Dolphins
Rostered QBs: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Rosen, Jake Rudock.
On paper, the Dolphins’ roster looks like the NFL’s worst. Rosen began his career in a similarly chaotic situation with the Cardinals as a rookie last season. Unfortunately, the odds of the 2018 10th overall pick succeeding in this environment in Miami, with one of the league’s weakest offensive line situations, are slim. The early returns on the trade acquisition’s South Beach tenure have been less than stellar, with coach Brian Flores publicly criticizing Rosen’s body language and suggesting this week that Rosen might not be ready to start. As for Fitzpatrick, what you see is what you get. He’ll bring a level of veteran competence to the job, and he did briefly light the league on fire last season in Tampa Bay. But he’s also won just seven games over the past three seasons, with a 36:32 TD-to-INT ratio in that span.
ohhh shit this is even worse
gil brandt is flat out wrong
Rosen can hang, and was successful a couple nights ago with a shitty as hell OL with no Tunsil
he will prove Brant wrong every week
Former Dolphins coach Chris Foerster is now with the 49ers. Supposedly they’re looking to pick up Patrick Chung. 😛
rotflmao
Brings new meaning to everybody had fun tonight, everybody want Chung tonight.
Seems like we’re trying to cut off our leg to save our foot, unless they want to sacrifice this year, while getting a better draft postion, to be better in the future.
yeah that’s what I’m thinking … do the Dallas reboot thing with a whole new Super Bowl ready OL all in one year.
Notice they are not playing Alonso either. I do not think he is that hurt, is he?
Orob, Fitz is more agile? did you watch the game? Fitz is old, and not agile, Rosen was converting a 99 yard drive by running away from defenders to pass on rollouts, and to run for first downs
did You see rosen convert the third and fourteen? or was that FItzpatrick that did that?
Fitz was horrible, did nothing for an entire jhalf
its impossible for the old man that is slow to keep up with Rosen
They may not want to sign Tunsil next year to a huge contract vs getting value for him now, Clowney may have nothing to do with Tunsil being traded. rumors are just that.
Flores may be scared we have too much talent to tank.
I doubt that, Flores wants to win now.
If these rumors are true, that he’s shopping vets, then he really doesn’t want to win. He’ll do everything in his power from week to week to win, but diminishing the roster is the tanking I’m talking about.
Grier is in charge of player acquisition not Flores, the thing about Tunsil is he’s going to be a free agent in march, shopping him now seems credible. the question is what can you get for him? and you have to weigh that as opposed to breaking the bank to sign or tag him in march. do you pull the trigger if you get a #1 for him in 2020?
Naples – I love Gil Brandt. That’s disappointing that he said that, but it’s kind of an easy thing to pick us for that. That doesn’t mean a whole lot. They have to rank teams somewhere so he took an easy out. I think things can end up looking pretty positive as time goes on.
I respect Gil Brandt, but he is getting a little senile, and this is not the first time I have thought that. And I mean that senile word medically, not casually.
I thought his analysis of our QB situation was needlessly bleak. Plus it was mere regurgitation of the narrative that Miami has the worst roster in the NFL.
Brandt did not analyze, just copy and pasted ESPN level memes.
While Fitz is certainly not HoF caliber, he’s no Nathan Peterman / Dan Orlovsky / Mark Sanchez type which are automatic losses in any game they start.
And Rosen has legitimate arm talent, a bright football IQ, a “wannabe great” attitude, and Tom Brady’s personal coach. Brandt did not give Rosen enough respect.
Agreed
In the past when watching the Fins play I could call correctly run/pass about 80% of the time, but in Thursday’s game i had no idea from play to play.
For the record, Flores’s handling of the Stills thing is to me his first false step as a HC.
However, after reading the article and hearing what he told the whole team in a team meeting, it does seem to make a little bit more sense.
I can’t find the article, but Flores says he supports Stills kneeling. He says he lived the things that Stills is protesting against. But he thinks what Stills did vs Ross and Jay Z is not the right way to do it.
He seems to have told Stills to toughen up to get ready for being called out at road games and to concentrate on his job of WR.
the Jay Z thing was all on Flores, Flores is the one that played a bunch of horrid music from JZ to antagonize Stills
Wow! Did you come up with that all on your own Captain Obvious.

back to football
I am not nearly as scared of Baltimore this year as i usually am.
No Suggs, No Weddle, no CJ Mosley.
and it seems they lost someone else I can’t remember.
Suggs used to beat us all by himself some years.
No Flacco
that too
Flacco has killed us over the middle with the TEs for as long as he’s been in the league. The last 2 times we beat them, he didnt play.
Boy
I hate to sound gung ho and rah rah but this guy is saying and doing HoF stuff.
Here’s a quote:
>>>
Miami Dolphins’ Christian Wilkins calls leadership “universal”
>>>
I mean that is like a new idea, not some cliche.
Frickin Godchaux who is doing a nice job of bringing energy into the middle of the DL himself, recently asked Wilkins for some “juice” like it’s a force that can be shared.
And i think it is.
They play off of each other, like Ray Lewis did with the boys.
if we do lose Tunsil to FA i would think we would get a comp pick for him.
That’s pretty far into the future though.
3rd only, but that would be in 3 years, that’s why you’d trade him early.
I do think the Ravens QB can be shook up and picked off, and we have the guys to do it in X, Rowe, Minkah, and Baker.
We can be a league leader in INTs. Even Alonso, Rehad, and TJ pick off passes.
That can help our offense out big time and benefit our pass rushers too.
Remember, Flores came from a system/program where they didn’t really value having or keeping high end OL talent. NE has played with marginal talent on their OL and made it work for a long time. Brady impact? Maybe. Or maybe Flores learned from Bellicheat that you can win without keeping guys like Tunsil. Just a thought.
I dont think it’s just a thought, I think real.
Is that right? They had Nate Solder for 7 years after drafting him in RD 1
Did you see several times our DL all standing up till right before the snap so Foles and the OL would not know who was blocking whom?
And it worked for 3 and outs and a pick too, and that was against a SB MVP.
Yeah, funny how that didnt work out so well in the SB 2 years ago.
It worked last year with the Brian Flores version of patsie D.
I think Matt Patricia lost the Super bowl against Foles.
And I don’t thnk we will be running the Matt Patricia version of the cheatriots defense.
The cheats have been doing it for years.
I’m always scared of the Ravens
and I freaking HATE THEM!!!, they’re a very well coached team, always a very physical team and they always kick our ass. I’m so tired of that. That’s because we’ve been a finesse team. I dont see us as that now.
We’ll see, I certainly hope so.
who will be the starting QB for the Ravens game one? i heard a few analysts say Miami has to bring ROsen in slowly, Baltimore is so great blah blah blah
is it Lamar Jackson? and is he so formidable that somehow FItzpatrick is the beater of experienced super bowl winners like Jackson? lol
lets get real, both Jackson and Rosen are about the same age, the ravens are not undefeated with Jackson running the show, they are VERY beatable
Jackson will be a fine QB someday, but for right now, he has to be considered a work in progress, and is nowhere close to undefeated or HOF status
he is somewhat close to Rosen in age and development, both need more and will get it
so line them up and let them play, Rosen has just a good a chance to win the game as Jackson does
all true
Yes, but running QBs can get to a higher level quicker.

____________________________________________
I think the reason we do that is so the opposing QB can’t point out the mike.
when they do that they center their blocking according to where the Mike is, if he favors the left the blocking goes that way and vice versa. if they don’t know where the mike is it adds confusion to the opposing teams blocking schemes.
did you see Fitz and Rosen pointing out the “mike”?
The key to beating the new Ravens QB is not giving him running lanes and then translating his risky throws into picks.
Well that is true against all running QBs of course. We should also do that against Josh in Buffalo.
Burke let him make us look ridiculous last year.
The Ravens D is like the Cheats O, they keep losing players, but continue to be great. I hope this year that trend ends for both.
Either of our QBs can get the job done, the issue is, who do you feel has the least chance of getting hurt, while the OL settles in?
that would be Rosen, Fitzpatrick is slow and gets hit alot, i dont like to say it, but there is a distinct possibility Fitzpatrick could get injured behind this OL
BTW, some breaking news out that Miami is NOT shopping Tunsil, what is more likely is teams were inquiring about trading for Tunsil
the Clowney rumours are just that , rumours, again, its likely there was some inquiry, this is common among NFL teams
cant make a trade unless You make an inquiry first, and of course the other team can always say no or counteroffer
definitely shifting alignments of DL disrupts the blocking scheme.
The interior guys must get down which restricts their field of vision.
They like to have a target to fire out at.
If they’re confused about who their man is, their first move is to hesitate which diminishes their power, and they become susceptible to lunging at guys on diagonals instead of firing out at their man on a straight line power vector.
That’s the whole science behind gap DL systems, is to never let an OL just square up and hit you.
I think stuff like this is part of the genius of bellichick although of course he does not get sole credit.
It’s another example of his way of legal cheating. He never just says ‘hey let’s go one on one and see who wins.’ He’s always messing with you. Messing with your head, messing with your timing, your sets, your personnel groups, anything to keep you off balance so you can’t bring your athleticism fully to bear against his guy.
genius, but other geniuses in other sports have donestuff like that like rope a dope Ali, serve and volley tennis players, junk ball baseball pitchers, those guys in curling, etc.
and running QBs get hurt more too (RGIII etc.)
btw
about the avatars …
Some of you guys get tired of your avis and change them,
and I understand that,
but I never get tired of seeing brady knocked down flat on his back.
^^^ this
Look I get the hype!
But there is no way they trade Tunsil unless someone throws the bank at them!
And they might for him!
Everyone is on the trade block! Some just have more value than others!
If for some reason he does get traded, the compensation will be MASSIVE! 🙂
Randy – No response to the Nate Solder reply? It’s not like NE didn’t care about LT, Solder was drafted in RD1 in 2011 and played for NE for 7 years
“That’s exactly what happened on the first play of the second quarter, as Foles, who was the MVP of Super Bowl XLII with the Philadelphia Eagles, was pressured by defensive end Charles Harris and forced to roll to his right. He tried to squeeze the ball into wide receiver Dede Westbrook, but Rowe undercut the route and came up with the diving pick at the Jacksonville 47-yard line.”
College football is back
Gil Brandt also said Tannehill was a franchise QB. So, there’s that.
Senility evidence exhibit A
MikeE,
Sorry! I’m running around doing shit and not keeping up. I don’t t think it’s an absolute. I was just throwing it out there. I don’t know if it’s the case with Flores. Just thinking. They just drafted Wynn later in the first too, so who knows.
Me to!
I would put Duane Allen bck on the pup or IR thing that lets him come back mid season just so NE can’t get him back as they do need a TE.
also as injury protection for ourselves.
and they gave him the helmet mike!!!!
Mike,
That phone interview I had never called, but I put in for a job a couple days later and they called immediately. I had an in person interview 2 days later ans they offered me the position at the end of the interview. I start the day after labor day.
Congrats man, that’s good stuff! I’m not sure I’ll want the job or not, I definitely want to know more about it. In any case, it’s always good to be sought after.
Good luck with the new job!
Anybody watching Kyler Murray throw the ball mostly erratically in Minnesota?
7/13 for 81 so far.
You cant go by stats in preseason…that was a nice throw.
Thanks for that post, I didnt know the game was on.
Nice throw under pressure. I’d rather have what Rosen has done in preseason under constant pressure, than the guy that completes 70%, but misses open guys, takes bad sacks and when does complete passes they’re inaccurate. I think I just described RT.
Murray is lighting it up this drive.
Then 2 bad plays after my last post.
Murray’s day is finished with 14/21 137 0 TD 0 INT and 4 rushes for 9.
They got 3 FGs.
not too bad, but he does throw off his back foot too much.
Mike,
I’ve spent the last 10 months going through multiple rounds of interviews at places and getting rejection emails for job descriptions I was verbatim qualified for, so hopefully it’s where I’m supposed to be.
Huge congrats man. And having been on the other side a bit…. never take not getting a job personally. Lots of stuff goes on the other end….. including idiots like me there. 🙂
I would put Duane Allen bck on the pup or IR thing that lets him come back mid season just so NE can’t get him back as they do need a TE.

Also, so he can’t reveal the Oshea playbook to NE.
Lol
Maybe they are talking multiple player trade with Houston. Tunsil and Charles Harris for Clowney, LT Roderic Johnson and maybe a late round pick. LT Johnson has given Hou incumbent LT Matt Kalil (sp?) a run for his money but Kalil is still not 100% coming off injury. Each team upgrades one position but downgrades the other.
Love having a full kitchen at the office. Fried up some amberjack nuggets and made some rice mixed with black beans, Goya Sazon Culantro y Achiote seasoning and fresh cilantro. Also, made a cucumber salad. I’m stuffed and have 5 hours to go. Sleepy now. LOL
if they dump dwayne allen they take a 1.25 m cap hit
The Tunsil rumors are interesting. Him not playing at all in the PS does add up to a possible trade. I guess we’ll find out if there is something to it.
I’m not buying them. They might deal him but would take something real big. One story read said the Phins side was people have been calling them as opposed to them not denying Jones, Alonso and Stills’ names can be found on Craig’s List.
I have no idea what their plans are. We’ll see.
Murray has been accurate mostly in games 1 and 3, but not in game 2. I think they made a mistake.
how bout kenny stills and a mid round pick for clowney?
You serious Clark? 😉
Would be two mid-round picks in total value. Maybe, but we don’t take Clowney without a new contract. And not sure they want to do that.
yes

Stills?
Win / Win
on the preseason game debacle front… it dont get better than this…
https://winnipegsun.com/sports/football/fans-short-changed-by-nfl-pre-season-game
WE had a good time regardless but did our city ever come across as bush league..
Least they played. Canceled the game in Mexico City one year.
and cancelled or postponed the HOF game a couple years ago too… it was weird , our tix were on 10 yd line, which all of a sudden was the goal line.. numbered as the 10, but had the pylon at 10 and goal line.. took a 1/4 to get used to .. in the end it was a close finish and was okay … had 5 of family there, and met up with some friends had not seen in two years..
Gesiki responded well to me calling him out… 🙂 Laird is a baller, i want him on the team.. i’d say over gaskins and walton at this point..
and 100% agree that Baker was flying ALL OVER the field , and should have got as much press Kudos as Jax player…
Rosen does NOT look out of place , he looks good, albeit last game was against 2“s and 3;s .. i have no problem with him starting the season.. or if they want to let Fitz start against Ravens and educate Rosen during that game about the Defense, then start him game 2 would also make sense.. really hoping Tunsil is not traded.. unless coaches have seen something in other OL, that would improve what OL looked like in PS games…
talk of Stills to Houston to take away coverage for Nuke is strange.. they DO Have Fuller back healthy, and that kid can ball too.. but hey we do seem to have lots of WR`s that can play , and it appears our new coaching staff knows what a TE is.. (insert shocked face here_)
Speaking of Ballers Final season starts on Sunday … wonder if the off season issue will be a QB Controversy and/or Coaching cjanges.. they seem to mirror dolphins real life story lines..
This is how I see the conversation going down!
Teams: we’d like to offer you stuff for Tunsil
Grier: lmaooo alright what you got? That’s it? Nah man, we’re good
Twitter “insiders”: The Dolphins are shopping Laremy Tunsil!!!!
Probably, lol
You left part of it out.
Grier: that Reshad Jones is one fine player isn’t he?
Trade Allen to NE for Whatever?

Who’s the idiot outside the cage? Holly shit!
He’d be in trouble if i had my fly rod!
How is that even possible?
He does look a lot more chunky than last year.
wyoming85 — I’m sold that X is a stud. What am not sure of is if an uber-stud who can cover the elite wideouts in the league without help. If so then the job of the other guys like Rowe just got a lot easier.
He’s already proven that he can cover top WRs. He’s no secret anymore, the entire league knows he’s a top corner. Just enjoy it! 🙂
He’s a stud and a top corner. Was just wondering if he has Revis in him.
