The halfway point of the season, the Miami Dolphins 3-3 host the 5-2 LA Rams. It’s going to be very different for the 3-3 Dolphins because their veteran fun loving QB is no longer at the helm as he is replaced by rookie Tua Tagovailoa. There aren’t many parallels to find in the history of the NFL but I do recall Eli Manning replacing Kurt Warner in NY for the Giants in 2004. The NY Giants were 5-4 and after replacing Kurt Warner who had thrown for 2054 yards with 6 TD’s and 4 INT’s ended up finishing the season 1-6 with Eli Manning at QB. Ryan Fitzpatrick after 6 games has 1535 yards with 10 TD’s and 7 INT’s. There are similarities, but to me the biggest disparity is that the Dolphins at 3-3 are only a game and half behind the Bills (5-2) while in 2004, the Giants at 5-4 were pretty far behind the division leading Philadelphia Eagles who were 8-1 and comfortably in first place as they cruised to a 13-3 record. After watching the play of the Bills against the NY Jets last week, those Bills are fortunate to have won that game.
So even though it’s technically game #8 for us and not the start of the second half of the season, this season will be forever divided from this point on. Did the Dolphins make the right move inserting their rookie QB with a chance to win the division? We’ll find out, and this Sunday’s matchup against the LA Rams will give us an idea. The Rams boast a +52 point differential after 7 games, the Dolphins +47. The Dolphins are 12th in the league in scoring (26.7PPG) while the Rams are 18th (25.1PPG). Defensively, the Rams are 2rd in the NFL allowing 17.7PPG and the Dolphins are right behind them at 3rd allowing 18.8PPG. The teams are pretty even but definitely take a different approach getting there. On offense the Rams truly have had a RB by committee approach with Darrell Henderson leading the team with 87 carries for 411 yards followed closely by Malcolm Brown with 65 carries for 274 yards. Cam Akers was drafted early (RD 2 pick #52) by the Rams but minor injuries have stifled his season. In contrast, the Dolphins have relied almost singularly on RB Myles Gaskin with 82 carries and 340 yards and then Matt Brieda has had a few carries sprinkled in some games for 33 carries and 115 yards. The disparity is even wider in the passing game where Gaskin has 27 receptions to Breida’s 7. For the Rams, they seldom throw to the backs, Goff loves the WR combo of Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp who have 30 and 37 receptions respectively. The Rams offense relies much more heavily on its run game than do the Dolphins, the Dolphins have about half the rushing yards.
On defense I think we match up well against the Rams passing game. The pass rush which has come alive can make things difficult for Goff. The Dolphins secondary, now at full strength with Byron Jones healthy opposite Xavien Howard. Nik Needham has been handling the slot and safeties Bobby McCain and Eric Rowe, along with Brandon Jones, Kavon Frazier and Noah Igbinoghene will probably once again leave the Rams to focus on the run game. At the time of this writing, I don’t believe the Dolphins have made a roster move to replace Davon Godchaux at DT. Raekwon Davis will start there but until they bring someone for the PS or acquire a DT DE’s Zach Sieler and Jason Strowbridge will likely fill in. This is important, because I think the Rams are going to try and control the game with their run game so our depth and strength on the front 7 will be imperative to success at stopping the run. The Dolphins are midpack allowing 745 yards rushing (124 YPG)) while the Rams are #12 with 702 yards allowed (100 YPG).
On offense, all I can do is guess as to how we attack the Rams. LOgic would dictate that we’re not going to be doing a lot of prototypical NFL dropbacks with Tua, that we will have him moving around to keep him away from Aaron Donald who as 8 sacks in 7 games, along with 15 QB hits. The good news is that no one else on this Rams defense is close to that, so the task will be neutralize Donald and take your chances with everyone else. My hope is that we get TE Mike Gesicki more involved in the offense. Only twice has Gesicki been targeted more than 5 times and in 2 games he’s had only 1 reception. I want that to change. He’s a big time weapon and should be better utilized. The Rams won’t be easy to run against but they have very little to go on with Tua except 3 plays in the Jets and his college film, so Tua is the “X” factor. In some ways I’d be surprised if they lean heavily on Tua in this game but sometimes great players make it so, and if that happens, I’m willing to let Tua be Tua.
GO DOLPHINS!!!

Tua the first Post!
I am number Tua
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins are signing tight end Adam Shaheen to a 2-year $7.85-million with $3.2-million guaranteed.
What do you guys think?
I think they did that yesterday! 😉
But he seems to be a well rounded TE!
Not much, I think they want to keep him here so they re-signed him. Not a crazy contract, we have Gesicki and Smyth locked up through next season, one of them may be gone after that, so . . .
Mike E — Nice take on the match up…..but it sure ain’t a gentle landing for our little scrambling sparrow. Get that bye week before was the most important part. Hope they used it well. Given the differences btwn Fitz and Tua you could almost design different Os. Don’t think that happens, but am looking for some plays we haven’t seen before. RPO is obvious, but also some rollouts.
Tua isn’t a sparrow, he’s not as thick as Fitz, but he is stout.
For some reason thought sparrow was a common description for a young kid leaving the nest, but what do you think is the right bird? Young Hawk?
Andean Condor, the world’s largest bird of prey!
Thanks Stanger – Really looking forward to seeing how it works
Good reads this morning
I like the Shaheen deal. We’re locking up a solid #2 TE. I’m a fan of Smythe, but Shaheen is a bit more of a threat in the passing game. Neither one of them is Gesicki though. This is just a meat and potatoes move.
I agree. Flores said the guy works hard everyday. I like that they locked him up because he has shown some results on the field, and also that he fits into their mindset of how things should be done. That sets an example of how they treat players who work hard and produce.
This is the Tualf post
The days since they announced him as starter and this coming Sunday kind of feels like the the Tualf days of Christmas
Ol
Well hell! It’s all over!
We might as well talk politics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t stand any of the ‘shock’ sports reporters. They can all set themselves on fire for all I care.
colin cowturd.
What are your thoughts on the current font? There was a change that happened automatically and that was the one with the weird “J”. Not sure if I like this one so I’d like some feedback please
Doesn’t really matter IMO
Six one way, half a dozen the other
If you put certain one together they spell words! 😉
Not noticeable to me!
I guess this explains Bowden’s absence from practice!
https://twitter.com/LynnBowden_1/status/1321797430413807617?s=20
Nice, congratulations to the Bowden’s!
way to go…. certainly an excused absence 🙂
I ordered a new Miami Dolphins football for the beginning of the Tua era. *sigh* I really wish I could find a brand new throwback logo ball.
OK, despite the fact that no one else GAF I found the original font, and I’m happy. lol
JJJJJJJJJ….I hate this J!
Smoke it!
I think we can expect the Rams to throw a bunch of looks at Tua, and we should anticipate he’ll struggle against a good defense. If that happens and our defense plays well, maybe we can pull out this win at the end. My expectations aren’t that high though.
At minimum what I’d like to see is – don’t get injured, get a full game against a real NFL defense, make some plays, don’t get blown out.
The Rams are gonna pressure Tua. They’ll try to force him to get rid of the ball fast and off schedule and see if he makes the right decisions. The OL has gotta step up and protect. We may also see some plays on offense to take advantage of the Rams if they do.
There you have it. Dontari Poe was too fat to stand.

any teams out there looking for a “kneeling clown” to sign in 2020?
hey, this is a football post…….lol.
It keeps getting worse for the Pets.
did you ever see their QB that dresses like a woman ?
He’s just a RB playing at QB, lol.
Took like 7 minutes from walking in the door to filling out the ballot. Any of you guys who have early voting should do it rather than wait till next Tuesday.

did you build back better or make america great again…..lol.
Fulfilled my civic responsibility to vote….. which yeah think helps make america better.
you can’t complain if you don’t vote…..lol.
after all, communism doesn’t bust in boldly…… it sneaks in when liberals vote.
Top — you have a better set-up than democracy?
wow, getting verbally killed by a dog killer…..lol.
Tua?
Wouldn’t it be better to have a QB who only concentrates on football cause the ladies aren’t an issue?
LOL
I love hearing our team does shit like this!!!!!!
They know what’s at stake.
The Rams have beat two bad teams – NYG and the Washington JV’s – and one team with a defense and no offense – Bears. They lost to the bills with about the same score as Miami did and to the 49’ers who we crushed. The Rams are as big a question mark as Miami.
I agree
hey, remember when this turd did sports on espn? ……….lol
This is the truth!!!!!!
Is RTing Ryan Tannehilling or Retweeting?
Well if it’s with Lauren………………
Dohmar and the SS are having a bad week. I read a Cowboys reporter call him out and basically call him a moron for saying FItz to the Boys makes sense. He said it makes zero sense to the ‘Boys and that is never going to happen.
I love reporter on reporter crime. The worst reporters in the league (as voted by the fans) should have to face off in an arena. That would boost their papers ratings and get clicks…
Not sure about Mando, but Omar does block people with glee. Part of why he liked it so much m ore than the old SS board. We’d come after him, a few aggressively and some just logically.
He thinks he’s running Tweeter
After we win on Sunday and Tuesday Cownerd can take his Rosan Rosannadanna epiphany and shove it.
The jets blitzed on both pass plays. On the first they had 2 guys running unblocked at him and he still completed the pass, on the second he was able to get to his 3rd read and throw a strike for a first down.
If the Rams want to bring pressure, then bring it.
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
We discussed before, but gonna be interesting to see how Hunt handles the blind side on Sunday. But maybe in today’s game tackles have to protect no matter which side they line up on. But also assuming strongside will flip as well…. so no TE help.
I also had an epiphany
Colin Cowherd isn’t going to work…on Earth…
My best friend is a Niners fan, and we were supposed to go the Niners/ Dolphins game this year in Santa Clara. Obviously I was expecting a loss, but was still going to enjoy the experience. It really pisses me off that I missed that game. lol
Raiders game here.

Andean Condor, the world’s largest bird of prey!
The condor is part of the vulture family and they are scavengers. NOT birds of prey. But what do facts matter.
You’re right, not a bird of prey. Check this guy out. California Condor
“The Winged Coxface”
It looks like one of Cam Newtons outfits
Lol Bookman, but with that name it could play in our backfield😏
Come on guys. Google it. Vultures are birds of prey. It’s basically defined as carnivorous birds, not specifically hunters.
Merriam-Webster
Definition of bird of prey
: a carnivorous bird (such as a hawk, eagle, vulture, or owl) that feeds wholly or chiefly on meat taken by hunting or on carrion : RAPTOR.
The term is kind of a misnomer.
I get Rock’s point. Vultures don’t attack, they wait for the animal to die and then feed on them. The other animals attack their prey and kill them to eat them. Definitely a difference. Basically, I’d consider myself a vulture. I wait for the animal to die and then go to the supermaket or restaurant to eat it. I don’t kill it or eat, therefore, I’m not a predator.
Condors are birds of prey and the Andean Condor is titled the biggest bird of prey in the world. I mean you guys can argue with the scientists and people who give these things form. I didn’t create the vocabulary, lol.
LOL at Kong.
Sounds like we have confusion over “prey” and eating “carrion.” But the vultures sure do “hunt” what they eat….. just doesn’t move much.
When you listed to Colin Cowherd too long
hey, johnny rotton gets it ………….lol.
When Tua throws his first TD pass
LOL – Lefty Louie
This blog after hearing Tua would start
LOL — but guess it is more like this….. with Fitz teaching how it is done.

Lol
That’s Hunt, Jackson and Kindley on the side watching
Makes sense, especially with pudgy Kindley in the middle, and next to Hunt on the right side.

Kong – You’re just lending credibility to Trump’s arguments. Scientists aren’t always right . . . lol
LOL
Oh but they are…well at least in this case. see below for my unnecessarily pedantic argument. 🙂
Just to belabor a point, if we’re going to get into semantics, which I love by the way 😉 , even if you want to go strictly by the individual words ‘bird of prey’, prey being the key word in dispute, you can still classify a scavenger as a hunter of prey. Prey is not specifically defined as killed by the hunter, only that it is taken by a predator or is helpless, and to hunt is merely to pursue with purpose (food in this case).
A scavenger bird will pursue its wounded or failing prey waiting for it to die and sometimes start feeding before death, ergo bird of prey.
Merriam-Webster
hunted; hunting; hunts
Definition of hunt (Entry 1 of 5)
transitive verb
1a: to pursue for food or in sport
prey also preys
Definition of prey (Entry 1 of 2)
1a: an animal taken by a predator as food
b: one that is helpless or unable to resist attack: VICTIM
Fucking dictionary is wrong too! What’s wrong with everything?
Besides, I don’t use pedantics, my feet are fine!
It’s all wrong! The dead rising from the grave!, Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!
😂
Ok! Damn!
LOL
LOL, I knew you’d be a good sport about it, or I probably wouldn’t have commented.
I forgot to include the winkey eye to indicate that I was kidding in my original post about facts mattering. I wasn’t being serious. I hope Phelon doesn’t take it as an “attack”.
Prey: An animal taken by a pedator as food.
Definition of predator
1: an organism that primarily obtains food by the killing and consuming of other organisms : an organism that lives by predation
BY KILLING and consuming.
You notice I listed the top two definitions for prey? It was precisely for that reason. I knew I had to cover that base. 😉

The “Knuckleheads” LOL
Damn we just like to argue! LOL
I’ve come to realize over the last year or so, that is the real reason this blog sticks together. Nearly everyone who is a regular contributor loves a good argument.
And for me personally, arguing semantics over something meaningless like the true definition of ‘bird of prey’ is a lot of fun, whereas arguing over a douche and a turd sandwich is NOT. So I thank you for that 🙂
Yep — might as well be Trump: bird of prey or vulture? Don’t talk politics and doesn’t make much of a difference. 🙂
You guys are weird🤔
Ah, I love that movie.
Kong – Wait . . . So Trump isn’t right then?
Not in ANY way. He has supported the LEFT his whole life and switched over to the republicans because he knew it would be easier to bamboozle you all.
I just love being bamboozled
I think when it comes to Trump, you have to create a new direction. Left or right don’t cut it. He’s more Jeremy Bearimy. And if someone gets that without googling it, I’ll be shocked, lol.
(And just to keep things cordial, it’s not an insult to Trump, or rather it is whatever you make it – insult or awesome, lol)
Good write, Mike! I’m very excited for this Sunday. 🙂
Thanks man, I’m very excited as well! This is what we’ve waited for!
OK Tim – You’re the graphics guy – Do you know if this is the font we always had here?
Not sure because I’ve seen it change before. This looks like a classic font like Times. I think I’ve seen a font like Arial too which is what they call a sans serif font. That’s what it looks like when I’m typing.
I’ve always liked Times New Roman but that’s not a choice on WordPress
Can you read it? Seems easier to read than the regular font.
I bought a new drone, but Tua decided he didn’t like me having it.

Damn!
Nevermind
Wait! There is a new “article”?
Kong – We tried to watch “The Good Place” we just couldn’t get into it.
I went into it expecting to not like it, but found it surprisingly entertaining. I enjoyed the way it reinvented itself at the end of the 1st season. It’s a bit cheesy but I don’t mind that.
What this blog needs is a common enemy. Something or someone we can all hate and come together in unity.
Examples:
-Jets
-Patriots
-Tom Brady
-Turning the clock back this weekend(Just me?)
Feel free to add to these examples.
I’ll go with turning the clock back. I do hate that. LOL
Turning the clock back is great, its springing forward, that I hate. Unless of course I’m working graveyard in a casino and have to work 9 hours instead of 8😉
Isis – Although some of our left wing brothers here might . . . . JKJBBLOLOL
West Virginia, the least coast…
Just kidding of course, I love the state of WV, one of the prettiest.
I didn’t realize we were turning the clock back this weekend
I didn’t either, but it’s always before Halloween now. Tomorrow is NV Day, so no work😁
We are here, not sure about the rest of the country.
Same
meaning I didn’t realize…
Looks like I’ve done my civic duty today by keeping you guys informed.
I knew it was coming because I see endless memes complaining that “All we need is another hour of 2020”
Craig Carton returns to the WFAN airwaves from 5-6pm to talk to you, the audience.
Hmmm, didn’t really miss him to be honest. I liked him early in his career when he was on the “Sports Guys” on WNEW. I think I liked him for a while with Boomer but then he became a douche. I think the same thing is happening to Giannotti on the FAN right now. What do you think?
Carton gets on my nerves. I just found out today he’s coming back and Joe Benigno is retiring which sucks because I like him.
This will teach you illiterate, science-denying bastards not to attack me!
Subsistence farmers recognize that the condor eats dead animals and recognize that the Andean Condor is capable of killing live animals. … There are also accounts of the Andean Condor attacking and killing newborn sea lions in the breeding colonies of South American Sea Lions (Otaria flavescens) on the Peruvian coast.
https://www.avianreport.com/andean-condor-capable-of-killing-live-animals/
Baby killers no less…straight out of Compton bad-asses…
I’m pretty sure most carrion birds also attack/hunt live animals.
Oh right…..like politics is the only topic that gets argued about here and debated incessantly! Lol
Tim – I didn’t know Benigno was retiring. So Evan and Joe is now going to be Evan and Carton?
Yep!
Lots of carnivores are opportunity eaters or scavengers. It’s just smart.
From the Herald:
Cornerback Byron Jones said the team paid no attention to trade rumors involving cornerback Xavien Howard, calling it “outside noise” and that it hasn’t been a discussion in the locker room.
The Dolphins have received inquiries about Howard (who’s in the first year of a five-year, $75 million extension) but have publicly stated that they’re not exploring a trade. And Miami has not received any firm offer, according to a source with direct knowledge.
Even if the Dolphins changed their mind on a Howard trade, it likely would take multiple first-round picks to even get Miami to consider it, and it’s unlikely such an offer would be made.
Both parties expect he will remain a Dolphin for the remainder of the season and perhaps beyond. Howard has not spoken publicly to reporters in the past week. He would have been fine with a trade but never demanded one, according to a source. The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday.
Five players were limited in Thursday’s practice: linebacker Kyle Van Noy (foot), safety Bobby McCain (ankle), receiver DeVante Parker (groin), cornerback Jamal Perry (foot) and tight end Adam Shaheen (shoulder).
Defensive tackle Raekwon Davis, who had been limited with a shoulder injury, practiced fully on Thursday.
Good to see Davis back. Rams run the ball well.
Here’s one for you guys;
The sky is NOT blue.
Argue among yourselves
Depends on where you are looking at it from.
even when it looks blue it’s only because of the way light is being bent as it passes through the atmosphere. LOL There is “nothing” there to be a color.
Now some other smart guy on here is going to point out that my red shirt isn’t really red, it is absorbing all the wave lengths of light except red….
refraction lives ! lol
The Hubble telescope took a closer look at an asteroid that they figure is worth $10,000 Quadrillion.
It is about the size of West Virginia and is almost entirely made up of Iron, Nickle and other precious metals. I had to look it up to see how to write that as a number.
$10,000,000,000,000,000,000.00
artist rendering, not actual Hubble image. 😦
The asteroid is named “Psyche”
I feel like I’m being punked by NASA
Looks like 15k or maybe a little more on tree cleanup. Probably will need to repair if not replace roof from shingles being torn off. I’ll get an estimate on that soon.
Could have been a lot worse if that one tree that barely missed me had fallen on the house though. It’s got to be 150 ft or longer and was about 4ft in diameter at the base
Yikes! Glad you’re okay. Houses can be fixed, not loss of life.
glad to hear it’s not as bad as it could have been but even that is a big ding in the operating expenses and huge pain in the ass.
The dip left in the ground in my yard after a tree fell and me and my buddy took 4 days to cut it up and cart it to the street bothered me for years. I should have had a truck bring in some fill.
Do you have a “hurricane deductible” like everyone in FL gets?
D- not sure whether to say glad it was just that or glad you are safe. Unfair how much you Gulf Coast guys have been hit this year.
Hurricane deductable is 5% so a lot will be on me. Still if it had hit me house it’s be building a new house and be living at my mom’s lol
I still count myself very fortunate. A few houses near me a cut in half by trees right now
Well, it is a pain in the ass but I’m glad to hear you are ok.
If I was younger maybe I would h ave been a hacker. $2.3 mil is good pay.

We can add Hackers to the list of things to hate. Assholes, the lot of them.
Add scam callers to the list.
I can only guess they are trying to get people with dementia. Who else is going to believe that a new gov program will do away with all their credit card debt? Especially when a guy with an Indian accent is saying it.

Glad to hear your still Dried in!
You got electricity?
Good thing Miami has a super accurate QB starting now.
Yeah but we actually run and execute 10+ yard routes as opposed to those short bubble screens that go for 0-5. LOL
Anyone watch the Fox Sports Documentary “Tua”? Check it out, it’s on On Demand if you have it.
I caught the end of it, and wished I’d seen the whole thing. What I saw of it was good.
DON’T KNOW THE EXACT SPREAD on the Sheep vs. Dolphins game. But a co-worker offered me the Dolphins and 7 and 1/2 points so I accepted that for $10. I did so mainly on the belief that giving “FLO” a week off to prepare for the LAR could be the difference in this game. And, of course, the Sheep had to play on Monday night before flying to Florida so-o-o ——– get out your pinking shears and let’s trim the Sheep!!
———————————————————
MIKE E: Another insightful analysis. I especially agree with you on the need to increase Gesicki’s reception rate in this game. I’m also thinking that a long bomb or two to Grant and/or Ford might be part of the plan.
———————————
MY NOT SO SECRET WEAPON will be with me and the dogs to watch this game. Mrs. OD comes home from the rehab center late tomorrow afternoon. After more than a week of abuse from the medical staff, I’m sure she will want to vent and cuss a little during this contest! It’s really too bad we’re NOT playing the Jets this Sunday. She always stores up a few “unladylike” comments for the various Jet players and fans shown on TV! She once said about a hefty Jets female fan “She’s got the build of a Mack Truck and a face to match it!!”
I damn near choked on my beer!!!
I’m very happy that you got your anchor back OD!
I hope the Fins give her a reason to smile!
LOFL😂
It’s really hard to come off of a Monday night win, travel across the country and play a team off of a bye, especially one that didn’t take the bye as an off week.
The flipside is a rookie QB in his first start, and if the baby him…but I don’t see them babying Tua. He didn’t look like a fish out of water in mop up duty.
They’ll still win by 20+
⚠️
Dolphins fans may not like this stat. Fewest yards of separation created at the point of target this year
isn’t that also partly because of the style we have been playing? Fitz forces it in there a lot
Is it because they are not good at getting separation or is it because they are running jump ball type routes?
We have not made a lot of explosive plays in the pass or run game, but we do get chunk yards and 1st downs. So far our offense to me is try to establish a running game – it’s been okay – throw screens to the backs, and WR and TE run 7-15 yard routes quite a bit. It might be part of the plan to establish the bread & butter offense. I’m enjoying the ride. 🙂
What I wonder is what’s going to happen with Parker and Williams with Tua. They seem to be more suited for jump balls, a Fitz specialty. Parker had a breakout year with Fitz, can Tua do the same?
In the Thursday Night game the Atlanta safety tried to knock the pass down, barely got a finger on the ball, but td anyways. Until just now I thought that was the correct way to deflect the pass, but looking at other sports, in baseball, when a foul ball goes up off the bat it’s hard to catch, even with the catcher stationary. In soccer the goalie doesn’t try to hit it forward, unless he’s in position to get the entire ball, otherwise he hits it up.
So why do all DBs try to knock it down, when the better play is to deflect it up, when they can’t get much of the ball?
The reasoning on this was from a golf lesson I took back in the 80s. The instructor used examples from baseball and tennis. He said, all sports are intertwined and lessons learned from one sport benefit another.
Maybe ORob knows this instructor. Tom Barber, son of PGA golfer Jerry Barber. Tom was a family friend of a good friend of mine in Burbank.
Tom’s son was a fuckup like Hunter. We played golf with him one time at Griffith Park and he rammed our cart, bent the axle on the cart and my golf clubs. After our round we took the cart into the golf cart shop where he worked and he straightwned the axle with an FN hammer. Back in the day these guys would drink one beer per hole, had to reload after 9.
Rich Eisen has a Tua Woody.
OD. Happy to hear the Missus is coming home … May she be treated to Dolphins Victory…
Watching Atlanta , wondering if perhaps Gurley has been traded during the game … not injured , started the game , no fumble.. been standing on sidelines 95 of the game
95% ^
And he’s back in and stuffed for -4 yds. So maybe not traded lol
Nice write up mike E.. thinking we may see more Breida going forward.. good receiver out of the backfield when a 9 er ..
Charles Harris just got 86ed, for an unnecessary roughness penalty on Bridgewater.
Steve, Tua found talented WRs open in college. Parker and Williams are good targets for a QB. The same with Gesicki.
Parker and Williams don’t exactly get separation.
Okay they’ve been pretty productive so far. Maybe we open it up more out of the bye.
11:01 left 4th , Carolina down by 8 .. Atlanta doomed
Lol
Ok, Gurley is officially a football moron. No situational awareness. He scores the TD last week that cost them the game, then runs out of bounds inside of 4 minutes left to save 40 seconds or a TO for Carolina, smh..
🍺
Or meet me in Santa Barbara at Jahn’s.
🍻
3rd and and 14 from midfield with 3:05 left Atlanta decides to run the ball to run the clock. Gurley gets a couple of yards and runs out of bounds. They should just cut him.
Would be nice, if Atlanta got a win to go ahead of Texans.
Atlanta might actually win one, but don’t put Gurley in.

oops……..lol.
don’t lefty morons hate when smart people do their work? 🙂
of coarse tucker made copies before sending AND would track them down……..lol.
“We found the damning evidence we referrred to that was stolen….but we won’t mention what’s in them”
😂😂😂
Omg you are so ridiculously gullible
“Of coarse”…you don’t need to send a Zip drive across the country by ups to verify the authenticity of what’s in it….but that didn’t stop you from being hooked on this lame excuse
His producers in NY can verify any data just as well as they can in CA
It’s also inexplicable that they don’t use a drop box to transfer files, the data from a zip file is no less reliable than a drop box. I would hope a multi billion dollar company like fox would understand how to use a drop box – they probably do but their audience may not
And now that he has the Zip drive, he’s arguing in the last few seconds, that he doesn’t want to pile it on so he won’t mention it…after attacking the guy for weeks, now that he has the missing flash drive with the smoking gun of evidence…he doesn’t want to mention it…okay dude….😂😂😂
It’s not the existence of actual evidence that the Trump campaign is relying on, it’s the inference that it exists
Something doesn’t quite pass the smell test here. Surely there’s a better way to view a file, then send it UPS. Fox has a network that you’d think would be accessible from their CA office, and more likely a laptop with VPN into the network. Again, something stinks here.
I wonder if Tucker is taking a play from the left’s playbook. We’ve seen Schiff and the rest of the usual suspects do this type of thing many times.
But when you have as much evidence as they’ve already presented, why do something this, if in fact it is made up? Maybe this close to an election they aren’t looking for the truth, just the perception of it. Even so this is out of Tucker’s norm. Let’s see what transpires in the next few days.
Tucker has higher standards than they do at CNN, that’s one reason his ratings are higher, so really curious to see how this unfolds.
Steve
I do agree some thing isn’t right here. But I don’t I agree with where you are going with it. My guess is he was promised documents by some one and the documents don’t amount to what he was promised.
I.e. it wasn’t really evidence of anything
So instead of relying in the actual evidence he hoped it would be to create a controversy he decided to create a new controversy as to the chain of custody of the “evidence” . This is something criminal defense attorneys do in court when evidence is. It favorable to them. It’s a Strategy used to get an audience or a jury to focus less on the content of evidence he can’t make people believe was tampered with and more on the tampering…
If the damning evidence would have existed, he missed the window where it has the greatest political effect given that the election is Tuesday. So I don’t think we are going to see that bombshell in the next couple of days. Sometimes we see late Friday afternoon news bombshells, that people withhold until right before the weekend for maximum effect…so we will see….but imo if it would have been damaging, he would dropped it already
Honestly waiting until October this year to talk about anything some one thinks is mud is not a good political strategy given all the early voting. The mudslinging, whether it’s based on fact or fiction, would have been more effective months ago
I don’t share your view on Tucker’s standards. I think he has horrible standards. In fact, when he was sued by Karen Macadougal for defamation his own lawyers argued that he should not be taken serious (I.e. he’s fake news). This is the decision from that case Tucker had dismissed. It’s long, but if you want to skip down to the conclusion and read the last paragraphs on page 11 going into page 12, you can see it yourself

You can usually find most decisions on many cases online….so rather than rely on The reporting of the case, (knwoing some people hate tucker) I am posting the case.
Didnt post the link…
Let me try this
I put quotations on it. If you want to read the case, cut and paste into your browser

Packaging damaged and contents delivered a day late. Lets do 4 minutes on national news about it.
Burn!!!
I wasn’t a real big Republican fan before Trump. It’s actually quite comical how in 2016 the left said, its a presidents duty to elect a SCOTUS even in an election year, and the right said, let’s let the next president decide, and now both parties flip flopped.
Its hypocritical for either side to say, well in 2016 you said…
If there’s time for the Senate to do the SCOTUS questioning/hearing before the election how is it rushed thru, if the right got enough info to vote her thru and no one from the left was ever going to vote yes? Who needed more time?
Huh? Apparently, you don’t understand hypocrisy.
Say what you mean, mean what you say, do what you say you you mean. Simple, imo.
All else is hypocritical bullshit. Consequences be damned.
Hypocrisy is a two way street
Thanks for the article, Mike E. Your efforts/articles are very much appreciated. Nice.
Didn’t mean to put you second to political bullshit/rhetoric.
Nile you were gone yesterday, the blog swore off politics until after the election, at which time the winning side will engage in gratuitous gloating. You can see how well it’s going.
While
I take it all back and CONCUR! Fucked up! Sorry!
I have been gone for days.
Would love to see a clean game by Tua. The OL will need to step up. Rams D is nothing to sneeze at.
I truly want him to succeed at this level, but don’t him broken out of the gate.
I expect to see a fair amount of RPO to try to slow down Rams pass rush
RPO, quick slants, designed roll outs.
That was his bread and butter at AL.
What am I doing wrong?🤬
To compound my error that was supposed to be posted below about gif inadequatecies
I hope our OL will give Tua some comfort like he was used to at Alabama. That was the goal at the start of the season, a much better OL. Are we there yet? Promising, but not yet, imo.
I saw all of Tua’s dropbacks at AL, his line wasn’t what it was in previous years, he was under pressure a lot and handled it very well. He knows what to do under pressure.
I’m not quite sure we have the horses in the trenches to win that battle, but I think we can beat the Rams. I don’t think they’ll hold Tua back or limit the offense. I don’t think you play him in the first place if you have to do that. He is a smart kid, and I’m sure he knows the offense inside and out. The question is how he does when things go off schedule? How does he adjust in game? Can he quickly decipher what the Rams are doing and beat it? I’m looking forward to it. I haven’t been this excited to watch a game in years.
Cautiously optimistic. Hope so.

I am never going to try to post another gif again 🤯
Shitting bricks
sorry
Shitting rocks
Phish
I only swore off politics for one day but confirmed, I will engage in gloating if my side wins
Be careful what you wish for.
Me on this blog if Trump wins
A pig hiding in shit?
Backslider
I just hope our rookie OL continues to improve and keeps Tua clean
100% agree with 🐟
RPO, quick slants and roll outs will be the plays of the day
Watch for that quick slant – it’s going to lead to some big plays
Grant and Bowden might turn something little into something big
And I love the slant. It’s not like the WR screen when you are using one side of the field. A quick ball carrier gets to use the entire field
Watch Tua put those slants on the money. Fitz (and I love fitz) was throwing it a little late, and a little behind.
And when we pull it off effectively, and the LBs have to worry about getting in those passing lanes, it should open up the running game a little. We have to get past a Darnold, but if we can effectively slow him down, we might be able to get a running game going too
Then it’s a different game
LOL, I watched the game last night, saw the hit and the ejection, had no idea it was the Dolphin formerly known as Charles Harris.
LMAO at “To be fair Charles has never been around the opposing quarterback…”
I get what you fellas are saying about the sort of plays we may see with RPO or roll outs, but I want to see Tua be able to stand in a decent pocket, read the defense and make the right throws. That’s really what allows you to do other things. Establish the LOS and the pocket and go from there. I’m not sure we’ll see that but that would be my preference.
***
I’d say establish the run, which would be awesome, but I’m not even sure that is a thing in the NFL anymore. Lol
It certainly isn’t a Dolphins thing anymore…
I think the way to establish the run against the Rams is the RPO. Tua was great at that in college and it is a way to use a pass rushers aggressiveness against them
We haven’t done that since RW. Currently we just run once in a while to slow down the pass rush, then in the the 2nd halves of blowouts to run out the clock.
I’m ok with running on 1st down, if we mostly pass on 2nd and 3rd, but that run for 4 yards on 1st down, then for 1 on 2nd more times than not, like we did all too often against NE doesn’t work for us.
i see TUA as “quick thinking on your feet” kind of smart QB. from his college film i see a guy who just gets it done. i believe our O-line will be fine, not great, but fine. i expect a victory on sunday.
GO MIAMI……..HAVE FAITH IN COACH FLO……TRUST IN THE PROGRAM.
Ken,I agree. I mentioned that yesterday in that we could see plays designed to take advantage of them if they bring increased pressure. But, I think for the long term success of the team being able to establish a secure pocket is more impactful. I’d rather have them adjust to what we do than us adjusting to what they do. I don’t think we’re there yet, but I’d like to see it continue to develop.
steve,
I think things are changing in the NFL, but it’s still beneficial to not be one dimensional. Teams already throw 60-70% of the time, but running is still important. For instance, in second halves or end of games when you are trying to protect a lead. Or getting those 3rd or 4th and 1’s. An incomplete pass is worse than running for 2 yards and can really hurt you at certain points in the game. Bottom line for me is I wanna be able to do whatever I want to do when I want to do it.
