There are a couple OL I really like in this draft…maybe 3….who i’d take in the first round. After that, you can throw the next 7 in a hat and pick one. There are some tackles I think could be pretty good guards, but I have no desire to draft a guard. There are a couple that have major health concerns that I’d rate higher, but a guy like Dickerson scares me. Even if he doesn’t have another major injury on top of the many he’s already had, those previous injuries are gonna be a problem in a few years. Injuries to ankles and knees and major surgeries…not good. At his size and the job he does, he will start to feel it very soon. If he’s sitting there in the 4th or 5th…maybe I’d take a flier on him. Wyatt Davis is another, but I just can’t see us drafting a guard…at least anywhere near the top of this draft. Cleveland from Georgia is a gamer. I’d give him consideration in the middle rounds.

It’s not exactly like Christmas morning for many of us who celebrated like that, it’s more like we have to wait until after dinner tomorrow night for the draft to start. LOL
But it brings out the kids in us. I’m confident Grier/Flores will do well. They view things the same way and that is really important as we build a team. This team is still building but off of 10-6 in 2020 you have to at least match that in 2021.
Tuas development will have to play a big part in that. It can be done

WRs have just become so important with how the league works now. Behind the QB, they are probably the most impactful position on the team. I hate it but that’s the way the NFL wants it. Chase might be exceptional. Parsons might too…but I think WR has greater value these days.

I was just busting your chops! I think there are a handful of guys I like at #6. I really don’t have any favorites this year for whom I’d pound the table. I think there are a number of scenarios where we get really good players at #6 & 18. I’m looking forward to seeing who we end up with. This should be an interesting draft….and fun.

In the one game Jesse Davis didn’t play 100% of the snaps he played 80%.
I believe in ‘19 he played every offensive snap.

We traded LG Flowers and now we have a hole at OT, not sure how that works? Upgrading the OL has always been on the table. You draft a QB at #5 last year but you think building on protection is not the way to go?

Davis was ranked something like the 60th at OT last season….I can’t remember exactly. He’s probably slightly better at OG. Sure, he is an okay vet, but he’s nothing you wouldn’t want to upgrade. Besides, when somebody gets hurt he’s the guy they move around to fill in, so you have to fill in at 2 spots. His versatility is his true value.
I get his rank but the team loves him, he plays every play. I’m just talking about what’s reality not fan conjecture. Davis gets dismissed out of hand constantly yet he keeps playing every single snap while getting contract extensions. He’s here.
Davis is a guy every team wants on the roster come game day because he gives you so many options to plug him in. You can put him at any position but Center. Maybe he can play C too for all I know. It allows you to bring fewer OL to the game. That’s a nice advantage. As I’ve said before though, I’d be surprised if we drafted OL in the first this year.
Well you guys screwed the pooch on that draft. Miami’s first two picks are going to be Parsons and Paye.
I’d be thrilled if we get Chase and Najee. That’s the way to make the offense go! Can’t rely on our WR group so get the best one in this draft. I like our scrappy RB’s but we need an upgrade and Najee can do it all.

Sonny – They loved Ryan Fitzpatrick too, yet Tua is here. Nothing wrong with liking Davis but he’s not a great OL, he’s a versatile, valuable player. You upgrade when you can. Davis is a selfless player, and plays anywhere they ask him to w/o a chirp. Teams need guys like that
