Good gritty game
Fucking page turn
Victory Formation
Miami Dolphins top of the AFCE
Fuck Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dolphins are all alone in first place in the AFC east!
1-0
everyone else is 0-1
Ha, game over! Turn the page!!!
We get the dubbya
Our magic number is 16
Ugly game, but we stole one in New England. I don’t think this will get it done against Buffalo next week.
If we hold them to 16 it will!
Not if we get 15.
Fair enough, and that’s what you learn from.
LMAO…..Dolphins win….
Guaranteed….it wasn’t good enough!
You know the wafflers will be out!
I felt like got outplayed, but most importantly, we come away with the win
Curmudgeon!!!!
How so? Never outplayed….we played shitty and should have kicked their ass, imo.

Not if we get 15.
——————————————-
But we average 17!!!!!!! 😉
Jamis Winston 14 of 20 for 148 and 5 TD’s 0 INT’s.
Rogers 15 of 28 for 133 and 0 TD’s 2 INT’s, lol
We beat the Pats on the road to start the season. Hard to complain about that.
But I’m sure we will.
LOL, so true
Some will!
And now to reward myself with some Cioppino
Love Cioppino….awesome!
You people can’t accept a win and walk away bitching….lmao
Late response, but I agree with Herd.
It’s tough to get wins in NE…. Belicheat game planned a game the fit Jones.
Got the WIN. Get the hell out of town and go home. We got work to do … Josh Allen won’t be dinking and dunking next week.
Facker Bayfield throws he dagger Pick!!!!!!!!
This was a good day, plus the Packers and Aaron pre-madonna Rogers got smoked by the hurricane displaced Saints
2 years ago we were losing by 40 in Poo England to start the season
All is right i the world.
Let’s see how all these jagoffs adjust their predictions
They’ll say we’ll NE us still tied with Buffalo
One of the highest emotion games I’ve experienced in the last two decades. Mac Jones sure didn’t look like a rookie.
Nope, noticed, too/
Road win in the division. It may have been ugly but I will take it all day every day

Thanks for doing laundry!!!!!
Next week, along with doing the laundry, you might also want to throw in some ironing for the Bills game. lol
Can someone please teach me how to fold T-shirts? I’m the worst. LOL…
Watch Sheldon on Big Band Theory, Google
lmao…I’ve tried various origami folds….wtf?
Wins on the road in NE have been tough to come by, ill take a one point win anyday, especially when the bills and jets lose too
there are only 16 regular season games left, and a one game lead is significant
we will have to play better defense to stop the bills IMO, hopefully the defense is up to the challenge and go 2-0
Lol, a 1 game lead after 1 week is significant
Jax won game 1 last year, and haven’t won since
lol it is, its not easy making up ground on the bills, to be up 1-0 is much preferable
I feel bad because I thought we were going lose. I apologize for my negative post. I still am disappointed in the over all performance of the defense, but TOs rule. I should KNOW this with this team. What a great win!
it wasnt looking good, thats for sure, but Howard coming up with the fumble changed the game to our favor
Oh Cioppino some white wine and a Miami Dolphin win….how I love thee
Stop it!
Opportunistic Defense and everyone doing their job was enough for a HUGE DIVISION WIN
Mac Jones looked better than I’d like to admit.
Get some more games and some more tape on him then let’s see if he is for real
2 years ago we were losing by 40 in Poo England to start the season
————–
Wasn’t that a home game? I was there.
You may be right
Accepting okay and mediocre is what this fanbase has gotten used to doing in the last year. I’m not surprised by the responses, happens after every win we didnt deserve to get, then you are complaining that we are sitting at home come playoff time.
Not sure what you’re saying….a win as a win.
I don’t think a Flores team will be sitting there gloating.
We need to kick some ass at Buffalo. Pitt showed how to slow them down.
What fans do or accept has no bearing on the record.
25, 23, 23, 22…..yikes
HOW MANY TIMES has cruel fate or a mysterious/outrageous penalty screwed Miami out of a win they felt they had earned over Belicheat,Krapp & company??? By my count, it’s about 5-6 games over the 112 they’ve played in their history.
TODAY, lady luck smiled on Miami. But, just the same, with the game on the line, you CAN’T FUMBLE THE BALL AWAY on your opponent’s 10 yard line with just over 2 minutes to go. —-, in truth, Miami deserved to win this game and THEY DID!!!
——————–
MIAMI DOLPHINS, ALL ALONE IN FIRST PLACE IN THE AFC EAST. – – HOW BIG IS NEXT SUNDAY’S HOME GAME AGAINST THE BILLS NOW??!!??
——————-
SOME DOLPHANS FEARED AN 0-2 START might crush their season. I DIDN’T HEAR ANYONE wonder what an 0-2 start would do to BUFFALO’S SEASON. –Well let me be the first!! –Because BUFFALO WILL START THE SEASON 0-2 in front of an Orange-Bowl like throng of ABSOLUTE SCREAMING MANIACS IN HARD HEAD STADIUM in Miami Gardens! –Best of all, Young Stanger and I will be there to root our boys to victory!!!
—————–
DON’T FORGET ONE OF MY FAVORITE SAYINGS—“The “O” in BUFFALO STILL STANDS FOR SUPER BOWL VICTORIES!” And it will STILLstand for their Super Bowl victories AFTER THIS SEASON!!!
—————-
GO FINS!! – – This is OUR SEASON!!
We gave up 125 rushing and Mac Jones had a great game. Keeping them out of the EZ winning the turnover battle was the difference.
Props to John Jenkins coming in for Davis and recording 4 solo tackles.
Like Jacoby coming in on 3rd and 1
Not complaining. Definitely surprised at how well Mac Jones played. He never panics, he just stays in there long enough to find a receiver and calmly makes the throws. You have to be impressed if you watched this game, he dismantled our defense
All the we didn’t do this and that from all the I would have done this and that armchair generals. Flores’ team pulled it off. Enjoy it! Beating the Pats in their building is huge. We’re 1-0 and the rest of the division is 0-1. Have at it with the imperfections. I’m going to enjoy this one. 🙂
All that matters
agreed, NE road wins are always huge for Miami
its a great start to the season
We’re a bend, don’t break defense that gives up yards but shuts it down once the field gets short. We rely on keeping teams out of the endzone and big plays like TOs to stop some drives and create extra possessions.
Last year we were excellent on 3rd down. Today we could not get off the field on 3rd or we might have held them scoreless in the 2nd half.
We couldn’t get pressure without blitzing, and Jones ate up our blitz. We still need a strong individual pass rusher other than Ogbah. Hopefully Phillips develops into that.
Lol Houston is 1-0 everyone else in South lost
LOL, it’s just like all the talking heads predicted- Houston and Miami alone at the top of their divisions after week. 😂😂
1
NOW what happens if their sidelined quarterback comes back?
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit upset We didn’t explain Mac Jones I’m his first nfl game
That’s not good
This team better not be playing like this come October
But you try to get better each week – and coming out with a division road win as you do it is a good start
we made it way too easy for him IMO
ACCORDING to my aging memory, Miami now has 58 wins vs. the Patriots 54 wins in this series. We also lead the all-time series over the Jets, the Bills, and a team that USED to be in our division, the Colts.
When I saw the replay of Davis’ knee getting bent sideways, I thought for sure he was done for the year. That is a huge sigh of relief.
Me too!
Sorry if it wasn’t pretty enough for you SB7
But a division win is a division win!!!!!!!!!!!!
What’s the definition of a perfect weekend? When the jest, patsies, and cows all lose and the Dolphins win.
If you showed me these stats before the game I would have said we would lose 27-10
We lost in every stat except penalties and turnovers
Dolphins – Patriots
23Time of possession37
16First downs24
259Total yards393
185Passing yards268
74Rushing yards125
5Penalties8
18Total return yards60
52Total plays70
5.0Yards per play5.6
1Total turnovers2
Goes to show you that at the end of the day, the W is the only stat that matters.
Big belief of Flores is penalties and turnovers win games.
bbm….the 2 TOs on NE was the biggest stat, imo. And, it was created by the Dolphin D,,,,, Awesome.
^
Ha…just ha!
Right!
https://www.espn.com/nfl/standings
nobody has won a game in the NFC north
How about Howard creating a game winning TO. He just creates turn overs.
we would be 0-1 if He didnt do that
Because he’s a playmaker. Yeah lets trade his selfish ass. LOL
He already earned that raise one week into the season, lol.
We should have won or lost. We won. Move on the W/L record is all that matters.
You are what your record says you are
Coming away with a W today was great, but I still see the fundamental weakness as I have in the past.
Even with a very very rare win for us up in NE I am still not confident yet that next week will be a W
Too many stalled drives on offense today and too many big plays given up on Defense. It feels LUCKY.
Prove me wrong Dolphins
How do you think the Pats feel right now?
Like they got robbed
A WIN IS A WIN, no matter how ugly… ENJOY IT!!!
We may have made Mac Jones look like gold in his NFL debut, we may have been beaten in nearly every single team stat today (but for penalties and a 1 T/O differential), we may have been beaten by over 13 minutes in TOP… but we out-executed the bloody Patsies* in New England!!!
The idea was to NOT put too much on tape for the Patsies* to study (we may see them in the playoffs for a total of 3 head-to-head meetings), we weren’t trying to blow them out, and we won the game of chess against the best in the biz on their turf.
Yes… we’ve got some hiccups to clean up, Tua looked underwhelming, our Defensive pressure was abysmal, and we can play MUCH better than we did today. But we EXECUTED when it counted, we played TOGETHER, and we made the fewest mistakes today.
As Belicheat* himself would say, we’re now onto Buffalo. Different gameplan, different individual matchups, and a different team altogether.
GREAT WIN, MIAMI!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
Bottom line, get better each and never complain about a win
4 pt swing on the phantom roughing the passer
Offside whistle blown early for no reason, another possible 4 pt swing
Play b4 the int illegal man downfield nullifying 1st down was huge too, didn’t get to see it, but you guys were bitching about it
Horrible job spotting the ball
Let’s not ever take a win in NE lightly, when we know there’s more obstacles there than just beating the cheats
EXACTLY, Steve!
We’ll iron the creases out from week to week… but we got a divisional win against the evil Belicheat* on his home turf!
Absolutely furious about that whistle on the encroachment penalty
That was our free play
I see Flores was too
It always amazes me how people run their mouth incessantly and don’t show up to face the music. I’ve seen it over a lifetime.
If I said that word, I’d be called out by someone’s rule (and their cohorts)…lmao.
I’ll just leave a clue…it begins with p and ends with y…..LMAO! There’s another word that comes to mind…it begins with c and ends in d. Oh well.
Are you serious, Clark? Maybe you didn’t watch the game. So much for 0-5. Let’s root for 1-4, lol.
I will say Buffalo is going to be a tough out! After all, they played in the AFC championship game last year….we shall see. But, I’m not going to shit on team!
I think, at the end of the year, this will look like a really good win. In the NFL, you take any win you can get, especially on the road.
In the road vs a division opponent who is expected to be in the wildcard chase
+1000000000000000
https://phinphanatic.com/2021/09/12/xavien-howard-earns-money-clinching-miami-dolphins-victory/
We can just win, it has to be dominant. Okay, anyone ever watch the NFL? LOL
can’t
I don’t want to be a downer but we looked like shit and won’t win many games playing like this. The win counts but this is supposed to be the first year we really put it together. We looked like last year at best. We need a LOT more. We lost that game if it wasn’t for a late turnover. The team I saw couldn’t have drove down in a 2 min drill and win.
Tua was terrible. ORob may not be right but he’s looking more right than us. Mac Jones looked like the real deal. Like the vet QB ripping through our vaunted defense while having a game Tua could only dream about. His first game was better than ANY of Tua’s games so far. Tua needs to start showing real improvement when it matters.
Lots of teams shit the bed today. At least we got a win while doing it.
Imagine me posting a Debbie Downer mime here…,lol
Well you are a downer….the O line sucked, Mac could take deep drops and hang out to find the last option beyond the sticks, Tua didn’t have that luxury, decisive in most of his throws and on point, several drops, no ground game, maybe I was watching a different game.
Mac wasn’t nearly pressured as I expected him to be…..he hung out like Brady used to….WTF?
Was going to write the ORob right line too, just haven’t gotten to it yet, but say what you want about Jones he lost, mostly dink and dunk and when you can run the ball it makes your life easier
Not trying to take anything away from him, just an L is an L however you slice it
Yeah, what was Mac Jones yards per pass? Dink and dunk range for sure, so in ORobs world those don’t count unless it’s the other QB. At one point, I had it at 5 yards per pass play….lmao
Obviously I agree with most of your sentiment but Orob isnt close to being right. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves lol.
Lol, true but Tua looks similar to last year’s Tua so far. I don’t care what excuses we want to use about the OL, RBs, everyone else. He should have thrown another int and the NFL is breaking their backs trying to give the QBs easy games.
Imagine if we can beat Buffalo at hime next week
Winning in New England sets us for a sweep of the Patriots
And I’m. It concerned with the jests
It’s a huge win that sets up 5-1 in the division or better
It was just an ugly game
But don’t let that cloud winning on the road to a team that a lot of people had beating us for a wildcard
Did anybody catch that Chandler Jones had 5 sacks today for the Cardinals? He’d requested a trade during the offseason, and with his prior work with Coach Flo in New England, I thought we should have traded for him (even said so a couple of months back).
Man, we sure could use him on our Defense. Nevertheless, he’s not cheap and he’s no longer a youngling.
5 sacks, but you had us trading him for X, I’ll take the game winning TO🤪
I wasn’t surprised that Eich played LT today. I suggested it a couple of days ago.
His 1st hold was on the KVN sack and was a horrible call
I would love to see Ogbah extended before season’s end. He’s our best dlineman. He shows up every week with at least a few big plays and is dominant in stretches.
I don’t think anything was ugly. It was week 1. How many years have we all been following this? The Pats feel worse, just remember that.
The Pats are 0-1 against a division opponent and we are 1-0 against same.
I would do it this week. He was awesome today.
That was a response to Kong
👍
How FN hard is it to pass a Mike around, to the person asking the question at a press conference?

I had forgotten that, man, and you’re right! But rest assured, I prefaced it with SHOULD we happen to trade Xavien. I/ME was NOT going to trade X… he’s our best player.
Lol
LOL, I see what ya tried to do there! 😆
Jones is a great DE, but he’s not X
100% agreed, my friend. I’m the BALL HAWK(!!!) enthusiast of any blog this side of the Thames! 😀
This is one of those games you take the stats and shove them up the ass of a stat monger
If you can’t put the ball in the end zone enough, they don’t mean much
Would you rather have 120 yards and 2 tds or 200 yards and 3 fgs?

————-
You seriously didn’t think anything was ugly, Bro? Yes, we can do FAR better… and we will! Just be prepared to hear from the MSM that Mac Jones statistically outdueled Tua. I know I’m prepared, and I’m not looking forward to it!
See my post above
Jones only put the ball in the EZ once, after a very shady roughing the passer call, that won’t get it done
^
Who won the game on the road where we rarely win? It’s not about QB vs. QB. It’s team vs. team. Game over, Tua wins this time. Brady has done this hundreds of times. Move on! Ya still looking at stats?
Yeah, NE feels like crap after one player loses the ball in the RZ with a few minutes left. Dude cost them the game but it must feel pretty good to have your rookie QB dice up that badass Dolphin D all day in his first game ever.
We got the W but a better and angry Bills team is coming next week. A similar team to the one that blew us out in the last game last year. I hope they eat their Wheaties. I hope we have a much better game plan. I hope they got the jitters out or whatever they feel makes them better because we’ll need a lot better next week.
Every week it’s a different week. What happened this week is not predictive of what will happen. We were the underdog in this game and we won. We will be the underdog next week too. Who knows what will happen
Agreed! Except, “Yeah, NE feels like crap after one player loses the ball in the RZ with a few minutes left.” Wouldn’t any team. It cost you the game.
And our D caused the fumble….wtf? The RB didn’t hand it to us!
Ball security is a RBs #1 job. You can’t cough it up.
The illegal man downfield call was a good call. You could see on the replay Kindley was like 6 yards past the LOS.
Ok thanks
Agreed, but to be honest, I think little green people on Mars could have seen that. Why? KINDLEY IS A MASSIVE, MASSIVE MOUNTAIN! LOL 😉
And yes, I saw it too on the replay.
LOL, I was letting Steve know because he didn’t see whether or not it was a good call.
Got ya, man! I saw it too, so I vouch for ya.
Before the fumble, I felt pretty confident we were going to hold them to a FG. If we did, we still had time left, 3 Timeouts, and a fg would have won it. We still might have won that game without the TO.
Just before Parker caught his 1st pass I said enough RPO already, throw it downfield, as if someone was listening😉
Dalton is garbage
Stafford is not
Agreed on both posts. Red-Rider is past his prime, and Stafford is probably the most underrated QB in the league.
I’m curious to see what Stafford does now that he is out of the blackhole of Detroit.
Rams steal a play out of the 49ers PS playbook, created for Lance, for early td
I’ll take a 1 point win every MF weak of the season!
Tua had 1 play were he tried to do to much! Other than that it was a nice game from him!
Who can say they weren’t worried about the OL??????
I know some of you think football is all about the QB. I don’t.
It’s the ultimate team sport and it evolves, imo.
NE has been a dynasty over the last 20 years and we beat them in their house. Let’s complain…LMFAO!
It’s never enough. Maybe if we lost 38-37 would have been more satisfactory. LOL
Only to one that I know of so he could be right….lmao!
I will complain when we play like shit. I’m hoping not to do it next week but it’s up to our guys on if they can put together a better game.
Agree completely, take a breath.
That should have been a pick too!
It also can’t be overstated how perfectly we executed our endgame, 4 minute offense. We got the ball with 3:31 left, they had 3 TOs and the 2 minute warning. That’s an 8 play drive to seal the win.
That was very impressive. It’s hard to bleed out a clock in the NFL.
It’s a team sport. Everyone has to do their part.
I was kinda worried the TO might cost us the game, because if we had gone 3 and out, they get the ball back, drive down, kick a FG, and leave us with no time. But the offense got the job done and sealed it for us.
Interesting take on that
Said a couple months ago this NFL season, based on scheduling, is setup for the Rams to go to the SB, with zero games against teams coming off of bye weeks or Thursday games
If Stafford plays the way he’s playing tonight look for them to be in the SB, in their stadium
Stanford is prone to the inexplicable mind blowing interception. Always has throughout his career

HELL YEAH!!!
Tua’s passer rating (NOT ESPN’s ‘QB Rating’) for this game: 79.5
I’m not as concerned about this as others, but let’s not pretend it was pretty, either.
Dalton is terrible
But the entire playbook is open to him, not so much with Fields
So what if he can’t execute it
Mmm, I rewarded myself for the win today with some nice homemade hamburgers. 2 parts beef back rib meat, 1 part sirloin, 1 part chuck. Glorious
I’d like to place an order for pickup…
lol, you’re always welcome, my friend 🙂
Thanks!
You and Elephant Rider are the chefs, here. Y’all make my mouth water every time when speaking food! Muy bueno!
Bad situational football by #41 of the Rams on that 4th down play
Pick the ball up and run idiot, if you try to scoop it and fumble it and the Bears get it so what it’s 4th down
The punter from the Brown’s with a similar play fumbles the snap and runs to the side only to be tackled, had plenty of time to punt it
Most college punters do the Rugby kick on the run, you’d think a paid punter could do the same
Bookman, that was just that little worrying thought that ran through my mind, but I wasn’t screaming in anger that we got the TO. 🤣🤣
I love that our boys made it irrelevant
Oh, no, I think it is an excellent observation. I would not have thought of it.
Guys… where’s Elephant Rider been? Is he alright? I miss that dude!
Same weaknesses, same strengths mostly.
OL sucks, no pressure on QB, Both of those are huge, imo!
Give Tua the same line and wonder….
Take away Mac Jones tea time and wonder….
Our Punter sucked
Lol….so did Haack.
I don’t think it had anything with exposing ourselves…lol, putting things on tape.
They were bitchin this morning on ESON about Fields not starting
Thought, when it’s 21-0 at the half they’ll put him in
On that non call PI against the Rams, I rest my case (about them going to SB)
Some one was wondering and already forgot, what was Mac Jones yards per pass?
About 9.7 yards per completion. Tua’s was 12.6 yards per completion
Can’t throw the long ball as the stats suggest…lmao
It was me, of course. He actually to 9.7….lmao.
Chris Simms would be proud!
ONE FACTOR that definitely impacts the Bills at Dolphins game is the God-awful heat and humidity that hits visiting teams playing at Miami in September and October. Chances are the heat index will be over 100 degrees, maybe over 105 degrees, for this 1:00 PM kickoff in Miami Gardens. And, of course, the visitor’s bench is NOT in the shade, while Miami’s bench is shaded for most of the game. This is BY JOE ROBBIE’s DESIGN, to mimic the home field advantage the Dolphins and Canes had in the historic Orange Bowl for so many decades. On average, the heat index is about 7-10 degrees higher on a sunny day during these two months, especially if it doesn’t rain. Buffalo’s Singletary, who scored over 60 touchdowns while playing 3 seasons at Florida Atlantic, is ONE Bills’ player who won’t be surprised by this. But many of his team mates, such as the Buffalo QB who played in Wyoming, will have to deal with a situation that they may not be totally familiar with. Many strong NFL teams have faded in the 4th quarter in the Miami heat in past decades. SCREAMING LOCAL MIAMI FANS ARE FULLY AWARE OF THIS!!! So the Bills better hope they have a big lead after 3 quarters. Otherwise, the team THAT TRAINS IN THIS OPPRESSIVE HEAT ALL YEAR will have a distinct advantage come crunch time in the 4th quarter.
—————–
i always felt that the Dolphins teams of the 70’s and ’80’s always had a chance to spring a big comeback in the later stages of a very hot home game. Now, with temps EVEN HIGHER than they were 30-40 years ago, the home field advantage in HARD HEAD STADIUM is an even bigger factor in a closely fought contest. Keeo this in the back of your minds if the Bills-Fins game is very close in the final quarter.
Fingers crossed for high humidity in the 90s come game time!
I want it to poor rain Thurs, Fri, Sat so that it is like 80% Humidity and 96 Degrees!
Sauna-like is perfect weather at home.
It was always an advantage!
I don’t know how some of you glass half empty guys get through the day without sucking a gun barrel.
Don’t worry, I’m gonna pick us to win 49-3 next week too
Me too
substance abuse
Oh, good idea. Time to smoke a bowl
This isn’t a retort by any means, but think about it… how do some of you glass half-full guys get through the years with your pom-poms, when we’ve only made the playoffs (Wildcard, only) twice since 2008, and were one and done?
Fan is short for fanatic, and fans are going to fanatic, man.
Like you, I choose to keep my glass half-full… yet I can ‘understand’ gloom and doom as well. It’s all about “PROVE IT” and “SHOW ME”! Too many fans have been let down for too many years.
I hope this year is the year we definitively turn things around… and I BELIEVE IT!!!
GO PHINS!!!
HELL YEAH!!!
My only retort to your nonretort. Stop living in the past!!!!!! Lol…
LOL
As bad as the Bears have been, they’re only down 6
Phelon, that all depends…
Lol…they were optimistic about sucking a gun barrel.
The narrative that I have heard so far is that Jones showed great promise and the future is bright for NE and that Miami was lucky to escape…..
It would almost offend me but I kind of feel it’s true Mac Jones looked like the better QB out there today.
His ceiling is more limited. He is not that athletic. That said he can be very accurate and you saw that today. But we also saw good things out of Tua today. In particular he was getting the ball downfield to his WRs today against a very good D on the road. Also I think Jones benefited from our scheme today. I think we were determined to not let the Pats beat us on the ground and in the passing game we were going to keep everything in front of us. We were going to make them put together 10 or 12 play drives to score which creates opportunities for them to make mistakes
Especially with way better protection….I could be wrong and will defer to you geeks that can figure it out.
Any QB can sit back and hang out and throw. Mac dropped deep a lot and we never got to him….maybe that was strategy by design.
M13, did you see my post about TM last night before you signed off?
Negative, boss.
CAN’T JUDGE A QB SOLELY on one game, Rock. Or ONE SEASON (such as RG3, who was rookie of the year before tailspinning out of the league due to injuries, etc.). If Mac Jones plays LIKE HE DID TODAY, he’s a legit HOF candidate if he does this for over a decade. IF – – – .
SAW OUR OLD back-up QB with the beard, Mr. Fitzy, got hurt today. –Hpoing for a rapid recovery! He’s a class act.
OUT for tonight AFTER one more Colorado Kool-Aid!!
