I know Brian Flores wasn’t perfect, I watch all the games and see this team play every week. Once the Dolphins fired Flores, it’s amazing how quickly the negative stories came out. Look, some of them are probably true, and others are just silly. I’ll never know the veracity of all of them and frankly, it doesn’t matter. I was ready to hitch my wagon to Flores and for a decade or so. I mean as a Dolphins fan, you just have to be tired of the turnover here. We’ve seen this now far too many times since the new millennium. In 2000, Dave Wannstedt was our Head Coach. In 2005 Satan, er Nick Saban took over. In 2007 we got the Cam Cameron show for all of 1 year, and with his 1-15 record, one year too many. Then Bill Parcells came to town with his lazy uninspired plan to fix the Dolphins for owner Wayne Huizenga. He brought Jeff Ireland (GM), Head Coach Tony Sparano, and OC Dan Henning and DC Paul Pasqualoni. Thanks Bill for your efforts! Near the end of the 2011 season, Todd Bowles replaced Tony Sparano. In 2012, as if Bill Parcells grand plan wasn’t uninspiring enough, Stephen Ross hired Head Coach Joe Phibin. Joe somehow was allowed to muddle through 4 seasons here boring Dolphins fans everywhere. In 2016, we hired Head Coach Adam Gase, that of “Offensive Guru” status. We was offensive alright. Maybe Ross realized that he gave Philbin one too many so he cut Gase’s tenure at 3 years. In 2019 we hired the young, fiery defensive coordinator from the rival Patriots. Yes, another Belichick disciple. Flores was given only 3 years, perhaps once again harking back to Joe Philbin getting 4 years. If you’re wondering, since the year 2000, the Dolphins record is 176-183. Uninspiring.
I’m not going to touch any of the stories circulating regarding why Flores may have been fired. We saw the offense as an ineffective unit. Flores’ defensive pedigree had this team’s defense ahead of the offense during his 3 year tenure. Not that the defense was a championship level defense, it wasn’t, but compared to the offense it may have looked that way. Our offensive line has been an issue for years and despite Grier’s attempts to bring in talent to remedy the situation, drafting OT Liam Eichenberg in RD 2 (#42) in 2021, OT Austin Jackson in RD 1 in 2020 (#18), OG Robert Hunt in RD 2 (#39), and OG Solomon Kindley (#111) in RD 4. In 2019 we drafted OC Michael Deiter in RD 3 (#78). It’s certainly not due to a lack of effort, but our 2021 O-line was ranked dead last at #32. Truth be told, I feel we have talented players on that line, but Flores’ choice of Lemuel Jeanpierre seems to be the linchpin. This is a unit that must be fixed in order for this team’s offense to be successful. I hope whoever the new HC is realizes that a great veteran O-line Coach is necessary here. Notice how I haven’t once mentioned Tua? If I could talk to him, I’d tell him this . . .

So now the search begins, and I really don’t have a strong feeling as to who the new Head Coach will be. I have to admit I’m a little concerned that we didn’t clean house completely. If Chris Grier was fired as well, you find a GM and then that GM hires the new coach. Now, despite not getting fired, you have the appearance of a GM who may be on the hot seat hiring a new Head Coach and that makes the job less appealing. As if having 8 Head Coaches in the last 21 years isn’t unappealing enough!!! The good thing Dolphins fans, is that there are only 32 Head Coaching jobs and we have an opening, so there will be lots of interest regardless of the aforementioned pitfalls. We have a young, talented roster that some coach is going to be thrilled to take the helm of. Plenty of money in Free Agency will be available as well, close to $70M. We have a defensive unit on the rise with potential to be a top 10 defense if the offense gets on track. Some of that $70M will have to be used to re-sign our own players. DE Emmanuel Ogbah, TE Mike Gesicki, WR/ST Mack Hollins, TE Durham Smythe, LB Elandon Roberts and DB Nik Needham. RB Duke Johnson will probably be taken care of as well. I think Ogbah is the top priority, he’s been great since he got here and is an important piece of this defense. I think Gesicki should also be a priority but it depends on what type of TE the new HC is looking for. If he wants a receiving threat TE then Gesicki will be back. If he wants a blocking TE then it’s more likely Durham Smythe comes back and Gesicki goes elsewhere. Mack Hollins is becoming a better WR and is invaluable as a special teams player. I also hope we re-sign Nik Needham, I like that kid, and he always exceeds expectations.
Defensive players like CB Xavien Howard, CB Byron Jones, S Jevon Holland and S Brandon Jones will be sure to help lure a potential HC here. LB’s Jerome Baker and Andrew Van Ginkel as well, and of course young DE/LB Jaelan Phillips. On offense, rookie sensation WR Jaylen Waddle is a great start, but the falloff is big after that. Free agency and the draft are going to both be used to bring in talent at WR to complement Jaylen Waddle. Running back has to be a priority as well and if you know me, I want to draft one, not overpay for one in FA. Draft a RB early enough to procure one of the best RB’s in this draft, add in one of the holdovers like Myles Gaskin, re-sign Duke Johnson and pick up a FA RB that won’t break the bank. How we proceed at TE interests me. I’m very curious to see if we keep Mike Gesicki and/or Durham Smythe.
Here’s hoping we make the right choice for our new Head Coach, whomever he may be. Here’s hoping this new Head Coach can be successful enough to be here more than 10 years. Here’s also hoping we made the right choice retaining GM Chris Grier. Here’s hoping for a full recovery for our friend Jon “Stanger”. Here’s hoping for all of us to stay healthy in 2022.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Good game right now. The Bengals are definitely and up and coming team. Raiders fight though and there is plenty of time left.
I would be happy if they won SB .. don’t think they will but I’ll be cheering them on
I hear ya! They’re a likeable team. Ironic that Zac Taylor is their HC, a guy many fans on these blogs we’ve been on made fun of when he was Tannehill’s QB coach under Joe Philbin and Mike Sherman who is his father-in-law. He seems to be a pretty darn good coach.
I have liked them ever since they put the stripes on their helmets .. and yes I really liked Burrow and was hoping somehow we ended up with him.. he has been as advertised.. hopefully Tua and Waddle become as dynamic as Burrow and Chase
Amazing what a QB can do for you
NFL and NHL Allstar games both here in LV, cheapest seats 102 and 143 respectively
Who the fuck is going to pay that much + fees for the NFL Allstar game?
For sure the prices will come down, but I’m not paying even $50
I won’t watch on TV either. It’s a bad representation of the respective sport. It’s more for kids than anything. They get to see the stars.
What do regular game tix run there ?? Those prices sound. Heaped than our regular game tix , but yeah I have grown out of being interested in all star games
Sound cheaper ^^
I guess not .. ours 48-350
You can buy VGK tickets for well under $100 for most games
Not so much in years past
They keep emailing and calling me about Allstar NHL tickets, must be having issues selling them
You have season tix correct ?? Likely why all the emails
Yes, my ticket rep has been contacting me
We should trade Jackson for Leatherwood🤪
good game
I think that if tonight’s Bills/Pats game ends in regulation tie, both should be eliminated 🤷♂️😊
I second that
Or cheats losing 52-0
Or a massive fight breaks out they are all suspended for next year
Keep going, all good ideas
Steve, even though Tua didn’t put up big time numbers, he did help the team win 7 of the 8 games he played in down the stretch. I think he showed a mental toughness through all the nonsense he had to deal with. I also think he has that intangible that isn’t always easy to detect what it is, but some people have it. They win more than they lose.
I’ve said as much, but we need to see what he looks like behind an avg OL and some decent receivers, until then he really can’t be evaluated fairly
Agreed. The same upgrades on offense we’ve all talked about still has to happen even with a new HC.
Comparing Tua to the stiff piece of Brisket and that shows he’s worth at least another look
This is a 2:00 game. Good stuff!
Finally it’s getting good, Raiders been shooting themselves in the foot all game, from penalties to come on man on the kickoff
Oy
smh
That call…..
But I’m rooting for raiders so good
Never liked the raiders
Yeah, me neither. Their fans make it nearly impossible.
nice
👍👍
Why throw that
Great game!
Gonna be a lotta talk about the whistle being blown on the Bengals 1st 1/2 TD ..
The official who blew the whistle was wrong. I’m glad they lost that one. Let the players decide the game. Burrow was in bounds.
I agree and it was 2 seconds from whistle to catch , raiders did not have enough time to stop playing ..
Yeah, pretty surprised the refs let that go because the rule is the rule, but replaying that down really would have been screwing the Bengals; the whistle was just before he caught the ball and didn’t affect the play.
Beer
🍻
Yep! Don’t make the live game off football overly complicated. That was a legit play. The refs and officials have fucked around with the game too much.
Reffing in that game was not stellar
I see our former 6th round pick in 2019 who we waived before the season was over is now a starting OT for the Bengals, Isaiah Prince. He even opted out last season due to COVID.
Imagine that…
Did you hear before the game how bad they were saying bengals OLwas 😊 Burrow most sacked this year either 50 or 60 times.
He had a tough game, but he is headed to the divisional round of the playoffs. I thought he would turn into a steal when we drafted him in the 6th, then he was gone.
I remember him being talked up prior or at draft as potential great pick
Reply to Toba: No didn’t hear that. Thanks for making me feel better. lol
Anytime I can help 👍👍

Why does Watson want to come to Miami? We just fired Flores and it’s not like we have a juggernaut offense that he’d be joining.
—————-
Something about massage parlors in Miami (re: Robert Kraft). That’s all I’ve got!
Time for the frozen snot game
I’m glad they have to play in that shit. Going to make the loser and their fans all that more miserable.
So with the Bengals playoff win today, it’s down to us and the Detroit Lions as the longest current drought without a playoff victory in the NFL. *sigh*
Woohoo were #Tua
Tua long without a playoff victory!
😊
The last one was in 2000 over the Colts lead by Lamar Smith right?
I believe that’s correct.
Apparently yes
?! The Bills didn’t sell out their last two home playoff games?
Oh, probably Covid related, duh
Dang, how much cocaine did Josh Allen snort before the game?
He’s hyped!
The Bills are basically saying this is who Josh Allen is and this is how we can win.
TD Bills
Damn, how many, including me, thought he was just throwing that away?
Kong raises hand
Cold doesn’t seem to bother Allen today. Must be the Viagra
Bills are going to make them throw it this time.
I have ZERO emotions for a winner in this game
Anyone but the Patriots even if it means the Bills
Well we do know what the O in Buffalo stands for … yeah whoever wins this week is most welcome to lose next week
I almost would rather the Bills lose because no way are the Pets going all the way. I was really rooting for the Chargers last week so I could root against both these teams.
RT #77 is a big mofo, we should sign him in free agency
I’ve heard that somewhere before 🤔
Sean McDermott getting ready for the game
Both games today have players blowing breath like angry bulls. LOL
We’re than blowing Chunks I guess
^^ better than^^
LOL, it’s funny, I was wondering why the exhalation seems so much more obvious than ever before in cold weather games.
Hi-def video.
Wow that looked like a TD for a sec
Jones picked 😃
Hell of a play by Hyde. I thought that was a TD.
The weather at this game looks like when I went to the playoff game in Pittsburgh. 5 degrees. Brrrrrrrr!
That INT was impressive.
I guess if the Bills are going to win, I’d love to see them absolutely destroy the Pets, lol.
The Bills are a better team, but they sometimes kick themselves in the ass.
Yes destroy the Cheats
Are we really not going to get a replay of the flippin INT?

😆 Okay, Bart Scott!!!
Louis Riddick looked SO out of place during that segment!
😆
I went toa Western semi final game here one year mid November.. could tell how many sips it took to drink yer beer by the ice rings in the cup
I went to a Giants/Eagles playoff game years ago at the Meadowlands. If you didn’t dress like it was a trip to the Arctic, you were a very unhappy person by 4PM. LOL
Yep .. that was the Grey cup game here in 90.. ski pants parka , snowmobile mitts , and a balaclava touque
Steve: back to hockey for a sec .. with our current Covid protocol, can’t have ANY gatherings of 250 , so our home games are being postponed until later in the year .. jets played one game last week and one possibly two the week before …
I really hope Allen loses some of this physical talent early rather than later in his career. He’s huge, so good chance he drops a little speed by the time he’s 30. His speed, and even more so his fluidity as a runner while being so big is almost unfair.
He was the one I wanted coming out that year
Sorry ?! Which one of you came out that year ??
When he is having an accurate throwing day, he’s pretty unstoppable. His only weakness is his accuracy is sporadic.
Hulk comes out
😎
This is the Bart Scott/Josh Allen/Viagra deal that Ken and I are referencing! 😆
I will say Ken was all about Josh Allen in the draft. He was right. Allen’s size and skill set is built for any weather game.
Anyone see that deep passing (40+) is not a big part of football these days? It’s kind of rare. It’s more YAC than the distance of the throw. Just saying. 😉
Bills score a TD here, this game is over.
The sooner the better. I can’t stand watching these two teams in the playoffs. Really don’t care who wins, either.
I’m surprised Barmore is even playing after that injury last week.
Lol
The Bills are imposing their will on the Pats.
Brian Daboll
Unfortunately have said that about Brady led Patriots and been proven otherwise in too many game
If Brady was under center, I wouldn’t have given them the fork.
I’d haven given them a resounding Fork You
Ha! Bills suck
TSN turning point of the game
Announcer talking about how Hyde made one of the best interceptions they’ve seen all year. Still haven’t seen a replay because the broadcast suuuucks.
Pretty sure will replay at half
I could also look it up. I’m annoyed they didn’t replay it during the broadcast on the next drive if they had to. It’s just not quality production they somehow missed that.
I’ve actually had a problem with a number of games this year with poor production decisions like that from Fox and CBS, so it’s kind of been my thing, lol.
Shoddy workmanship is everywhere these days
They did show it three times immediately after it happened .. but yeah not since
Did they really? What the heck was I doing? I literally only saw it in real time, and I haven’t moved off the couch…wtf? lol
Live I thought was a TD , next two views were immediately after
Maybe I got transported to Jumanji for a second. IDK
Now I feel silly, lol. I was harping on it because i genuinely thought we didn’t get another view of it other than real time.
^^ look up^^
Cheers, bro. The only thing I can think is I got focused on writing a post and tuned out…wait…what were we talking about? lol
Time to make a drink I guess 😆
👍👍
Patriots imploding
Well let’s not interview the Pats DC
Or the OC for that matter
Notice they don’t show Kraft when the Pats are losing
Quite honestly, I’m very surprised this Bills team lost 6 games in the regular season. They are absolutely stacked, especially on Defense.
And when Josh Allen catches fire, they are the team to beat.
I’m trying to figure out how Jax held them to 6 points
I can’t figure it out either.
Allen made that defensive back look silly. A guy that big shouldn’t be able to move that fluidly.
YUP! A more fluid version of the young Big Ben.
Just remember Brian Daboll coached with Josh Boyer for years in NE so it’s not impossible to keep the same defense rolling. Maybe Boyer would love to stay with the guys he’s been working with for 3 years. He deserves a raise by the way.
YESSIR!!! I’ve mentioned all of the above before, and I’m right there in your corner, Bro!
This is the Josh Allen show right now
Pets gave up on that play.
#Demoralized**
😃👍
The Pats are being destroyed.
That I like to hear
I think NE is just cold and wants to go home
As long as the Steelers don’t pull off a crazy upset, we’re going to have some great AFC games next week.
Bills at Chiefs
Bengals at Titans
Those should both be very competitive games
Oooooops, #77 got beat there and/or just gave up
Sacked on the fake spike play 😊
Tim, I didn’t know that. That would be pretty amazing if we can keep Boyer and this defensive system intact.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Daboll
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Boyer
👍
Daboll just moved to the top of my list.
Damn, there goes the shutout
oh shit time
What is the deal with the Pets and kickers? Folk was a decent kicker, but pretty average for most of his flipping career, was out of the league in 2018 after hitting less than 60% in 2017, then goes to the Pets and is all pro.
Belicheat scares the shit out of them
lol, I think Belicheat has a talent for seeing that ice in the veins attribute in players or something like that…or it’s a deal with the devil. Whatever it is, it’s not coincidence.
Wow, great response from the Raiders coach regarding the whistle
👍
Bye-bye, Patsies*
I’m seeing a BOATLOAD of support on Twitter to name Mike McDaniel our new HC. Well, here’s the thing: he’s Joe Philbin… he preps the team as an OC, but he’s NOT the signal-caller on gameday.
Not sure I’d trust McDaniel to be our new HC… much less to be our Offensive signal-caller, being he doesn’t have that under his belt.
I absolutely LOVE the enthusiasm and quirk McDaniel has… but is he truly our best HC option? NO.
* he’s Joe Philbin in Green Bay, prior to us hiring him as our HC in 2012.
And what was Adam Gase in Denver, while Peyton Manning was their QB? The exact same thing. Manning was ‘essentially’ their OC… not Gase.
9.1 yds per play, lmao, that’s ridiculous
Gonna need a bigger fork
lol
…and the pets pain continues…
Off to a promising start in the second half
A fork fit for a Kong
lol
Nice🤡
I like how they use McKenzie I can see Waddle making plays like that
This is one of the most impressive offensive clinics I’ve seen in years. 5 drives, 5 tds
Daboll walks int interview tomorrow. Drops mike. Leaves.
^^^
As Tim and I have been trying to say, Brian Daboll essentially has the stolen plans for the Buffalo Bills’ Death Star, he worked with Tua at Alabama as his OC/QB coach in ’17, he has a long history with Josh Boyer in New England (perhaps retaining Boyer for continuity on our Defense?), he helped to transform Josh Allen into a top-10 (or better) QB, he might be able to bring vet O-Line coach Dave DeGuglielmo back, he’s worked to some extent with Chris Grier in the past, he’s garnered a lot of experience over the years in the NFL (not some kind of upstart), he can most likely assemble a decent staff [unlike Sparano (RIP), Philbin, Gase, and Flores], and most of all… he’s had SUCCESS since he was last here in ’11!
And as I stated above (and unlike Philbin, Gase, and Mike McDaniel), he’s actually called the plays on Offense.
Lady and gentlemen, I’m ALL-IN on Brian Daboll as our next HC.
We don’t know how good he’ll be as a HC, but his resume makes a lot of sense as a quality coach. His connections with some of our guys means something to me. Tua and Boyer.
^^^
I think are even more connections than you realize, Bro!
This is the first time a Belicheat led team has ever given up TDs on 4 consecutive possessions (now 5).
Come on 6
There ya go
McDaniel is worth the risk, because he really could be the next young stud, Daboll is intriguing, because he’s been with Tua at Bama
Daboll has been a part of winning the AFC East and playing in championship games and Super Bowls. NE and BUF. I have no idea how it will all play out, but he knows what winning football looks like.
Wow
That ball had vapor trails
For some reason, I just pictured Bellicheat at his postgame presser and just started cracking up.
“Mumble, mumble, mumble” LOL
Now I want to know what his New Years resolution is
Right? LOL 😀
“I guess we’re not on to Cincinnati…”
😆
Nice
LOL
Can’t stop watching. Almost every play seems designed to get between 7-10 yards and they are doing that almost every time. Vaunted Pats D is getting destroyed.
Leslie Frazier walks into interview on Monday. Drops mic. Leaves
Frazier is another quality coach. I want Daboll because I think QB and Head Coach is an important relationship. Think about Sean Payton and Drew Brees back in 2006.
They gave us a stupid angle so I’m not sure, but I think that ball clipped a Bills heel, so Hyde had to pick it up and turned it into a great return.
LOL, stepping on the throat. I am really enjoying watching the Pets get some flippin payback…
Just wish this was happening in Miami…
Love it
They are really embarrassing the patriots now
🤷♂️ Not like payback will come anytime soon
About time someone has
Notice they have not shown Bellicheck or Kraft since early in the game
The Pats legacy is over. Heck we beat them twice this year with that shit QB Tua. LOL
Bills had 9.1 yd per play at the end of the 1st half.
Bills now have 9.5 yds per play.
The Bills are averaging nearly 10 yds a play with 5 minutes left in the game. Wow
The Bills offense has more TDs than 3rd down plays (7-6).
That was gratifying
Meh , not really
Tua’ll a good evening and good night!
Well done , gnight
Maybe the NFL pundits and media will stop trying to make porn films with Mac Jones. He’s a baby QB prospect. He’s not friggin Tom Brady. Stop being dumb.
Nice to see the cheats going on vacation with the taste of shit in their mouths, after spending all that money in FA
LOL
Hope this is the end for belicheat
Allen had more TD passes than inCompletions.
Well, the Bills kicked the Pats asses just they kicked our asses. We’re going to need to upgrade our offense in order to hang with the Bills.
Yep. They’ve been inconsistent at times this season, but they have looked good as of late. They have the stable of horses to be able to do that in the playoffs, we aren’t close. Maybe in 2-3 years (sound familiar?)
