WHAT MAKE HULK ANGRY?

incredible-hulk

By Dr. Bruce Banner

Okay so who here think Hulk should be happy? Sure we now have Coach Dan and he seem to be the Anti-Philbin. He no care about gum wrappers on practice field. Hulk think Coach Dan only want to see blood on practice field. Coach Dan make team hit or he look like he would hit team if they no hit. Sure Coach Dan seems to know you need to run ball more than three times a game. Sure Coach Dan seem to figure out that 31 pass attempts and 32 run attempts seems to be a good balance. Sure it seems Coach Dan figure out if Jamil Douglas and Greg Jennings no play well then they should no start. Sure we no have Coach ReCoyle anymore and suddenly we have pass rush that attacks instead of read and reacts. Sure we now have some guy named Saunders and suddenly there is a fullback on the field and we now run ball under center. So what does Hulk have to be angry about?

Hulk angry because it took 4 of the lamest game performances and 3 of the most mediocre, lackluster and uninspiring seasons of football to figure this out. Hulk angry that Phins figure this out after they start in a 1-3 hole with 2 divisional losses essentially dooming team’s playoff chances in flipping September. Hulk angry because owner took so long to see what everyone here saw for long time. Hulk angry because most of things such as run ball more, use fullback, run from under center, have pass rush attack was all things posted here time and time again. We no talking rocket science, we talking basic football that beer and wing football fans everywhere understand. So why Coach Joe no understand that? Why it take just one week to make it so painfully obvious that the beer and wing fans know more football than Coach Joe. It sad day when your team’s fan blog has more insight to football than your team’s head coach. Hulk angry because he can’t let go of all of team’s failures over the past 3 plus years and enjoy one good day of football. Hulk still in pain and can’t let go. Hulk want to believe in all the good he saw on field on Sunday but Hulk can’t do that just yet. Hulk knows if he does the Phins will just rip his green heart out once again and that is what makes Hulk angriest of all is that Hulk no enjoy this win the way he should. Hulk needs to see Phins play consistent, tough and smart football for many more games before Hulk able to change back to Bruce Banner. Until then Hulk stay angry.

I’ve watched the replay over and over and I honestly just don’t get it. I can’t decide if ya’ll are just homers or I’m taking crazy pills, lol. I suspect the later since I’m the ONLY one who sees it this way and we have a lot of good football minds here.

He catches, hits the ground and as he’s rolling over the ball appears to be moving across his chest into the crook of his left arm where the Tenn guy just takes it (because it’s not in his control). There is a moment you can’t see him as he’s rolling over. Maybe he possess it enough there and it’s an INT… but the way the rules are enforced I think he doesn’t possess it through going to the ground and it’s Tennessee ball. Either way, I KNOW that is a close call, but again, why didn’t they even look at it?

Ok, I said I could do this all day, but honestly I’m tired of it as I’m sure everyone else is. I’m done talking about this.

    • Al in MIA's avatar Al in MIA says:

I didn’t really see that play when it happened but looking at that angle, it seems as if brent didn’t maintain control through his motion. But, it could have been one of those “inconclusive’ evidence as to when he was touched by the defender vs when the ball movement started.

    • Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Whatever it was, I think that rule that started whenever it did is ridiculous anyway. He has the fucking ball. A RB can barely get the ball over the goal line lose it and it’s a TD. Ghey! LOL

    • The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

I think its out before the Tenn player takes it
like the split second before the titans player touches it its out

but I think when Grimes first rolls on his back he has possession

some of the stuff about when a player has possession or not is flat out arbitrary
if I saw that happen in a pick up game – i would say “Great INT”
int he NFL I would start ti analyze how long it was in his possession…lol

I would not say that call went our way
that play should be viewed as an INT

but the way the NFL interprets these things makes me shrug when I see it happen

if they ruled it an INT on the field
and it looks like it comes out right before the defender touches it – I’m not sure that is enough to say Grimes didn;t have possession

  2. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Piggy, they do things with Sims the other TEs don’t excel at. Cameron has touched on this in some interviews.

    • getterdone's avatar getterdone says:

The bigger difference was when Cameron went out while Sims was out….or Cameron was hurting, thus we saw Stoneburner play more, he did get 2 TD’s, so not sure it was cut out of playbook, and more like they didn’t keep enough TE’s on the roster.
Hence we saw Dowling get waived & signed Brandon Williams off the the PS.
We need to carry 4 TE’s and 3 active every Sunday…IMO.

  3. Mike E.'s avatar Mike E. says:

I watched it on my phone, it’s way too small to see the replay. I’ll try and check it out on my PC at home

  4. The Flying Pig's avatar The Flying Pig says:

    Kong
I’ve never seen a catch reversed when the player appears to have possession as he hits the ground
    or maybe I have
but I think at that point it should be a catch

when grimes rolls over on is back he already had possession
I would probably call that play INT, fumble recover by the TN player before I call it a no catch

With a runner on first, David Wright hits a very long fly ball to the wall in left field. Schwarber LOSES the ball in the lights! It comes down, strikes him in the head, and BOUNCES OVER THE WALL FOR THE GAME WINNING TWO-RUN HOMER!! What makes you think the umpiring was favoring the Cubs? The ground rule double is a hard and fast rule, the batter gets 2nd, and the runner in front of him gets 3rd , unless he scores before the ball goes out of play. I thought the Home plate umpire was giving both teams a generous strike zone, and maybe even occasionally giving the Mets some calls.

  50. Tim Knight's avatar Tim Knight says:

Not sure about the strike zone stuff and me liking close games is all about. When a player fucks up and is saved by a plant that grows on the wall saves his ass, it annoyed me. That’s the only place in the league where that’s a ground rule double.
